This car (infiniti g-20) was purchased on march 25 th of 2000 with 67 miles on it. On april 24, 2000 with a mileage of only 1,632 miles, it needed to be jump started.it was taken to the dealership and i was told that the battery needed to be replaced.on july 14th, 2000 the car (8,221 mileage) would not crank again.i was informed by the dealership that the keys needed to be recoded.on may 5th, 2001, the car (22,574 mileage) would not crank again and the tow truck driver placed the gear in neutral and it started.the dealership could not duplicate this failure.on june 28th, 2002 (45,367 mileage), the battery was replaced for the second time by the dealership.on november 13th, 2003 the car wouldnot crank.it was taken to the dealership on november 15th and the starter was replaced (71,000).during this visit to the service department i was engaged in conversation with the business manager and the sales manager approached us.i informed him of all the problems and his only comment was that up until now, everything was under warranty so i shouldn't complain.on october 19th, 2004 the car would not crank.it was taken to the dealership on october 20th (86,345 mileage) and corrosion on the positive teriminal of the battery was cleaned off.on october 23rd, it would not crank once again.i took it to the dealership and left it for 3 days.they were unable to duplicate the problem.i was told that there wasn't anything they could do until a part failed.the last time it would not crankwas october 30 th of 2004.now it will either have to be jump started or if it sits a few minutes after failing to crank, it will then crank.

Dear sir or madam:i have an infinity q45 anniversary edition, year 2000, with approximately 90,000 miles on it. I have a problem with the transmission shifting "hard" from 1st to 2nd gear first thing in the morning, when the car is "cold". Note: this happens in the summer also, so don't be misled and be aware, this phenomenon started long before 90,000 miles. I have had it back to the dealer a number of times; they have checked with test equipment and have experienced the problem and told me this is "normal".i don't think an automobile of this caliber and cost should feel like someone has thrown a "brick" in the transmission and it feels as though it is about to come apart. Really, the effect is very disconcerting and unnerving.when i purchased this automobile, i was convinced to purchase an expensive 100,000 mile extended warranty to cover such incidents if they were to occur. Is the dealer trying to give me the run around and waiting for the warranty to expire? do they know what they are doing? the dealer himself reported to me they have seen other autos like mine with the same problem. Is this considered "normal"?i consider this a statistical anomaly.are there any service bulletins that have reported a similar problem?[xxx]my dealer is:troncalli infinity1625 church streetdecatur, ga30033thanking you in advance for your consideration.[xxx].[xxx][xxx].information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6)

Dt: the front right lower control arm was rusted and broke. Took vehicle to a mechanic, and said he did some research and therewas a recall on 2001 model, but not the 2000. The left lower control arm was also rusted.
