Infiniti saw no owner damage to airbag.airbag never deployed.does infiniti have a problem with 90,000+ mileage vehicle initiating air bag warning?car has been maintained regularly-infiniti stated that since they did not do the maintenance, the airbag is failing!

Dt: contact stated the air bag light illuminated.the problem has been remedied twice, but within 6 months to a year the light came back on.the dealer did knowwhy the light kept coming on. I'm the second owner of a 1999 infiniti i30. I've been dealing with the airbag light several times. I'm concern that one day the will pop and hurt me or my family.

Reclined drivers seat which activated "air bag" warning light continuously flashing. This is a serious safety flaw which needs to be fixed by the manufacturer. Unknown whether air bag still works and very bright flashing indicator causes serious distraction while driving especially at night. Numerous reports that this is a common problem on nissan maxima and infiniti i30.

1no event led to any failure.2air bag warning light blinks constantly for no reason distracting driver.3nothing done by manufacturer on defective safety device .

While driving on the highwayat 50 mph consumer's vehicle was side swiped by a semi-trailer on the driver's side. Upon impact, the vehicle crashed into sand bags and other construction material on the side of the highway. None of the frontal airbags deployed.*sc

I have a 1999 infinity i30, which has only 36000 miles on it, there was no accident or any repair done on tjis car, but the air bag sensor came on just like that and the dealer wants about $1250.00 to repair it.

Car was driven short distance (approx. 2 miles), parked and turned off.within 2-5 minutes i had to put something in car and noticed smoke flowing out of grill area, and popped the hood, and noticed orange flame in alternator.fire dept. Was called to scene, and a report is available.at time of complaint, car is in shop w/ a private mechanic due to infiniti's refusal to assist in matter, and cost of repair is yet undetermined.

While the vehicle was idling a high pitch noise was heard then smoke began flowing from under the hood.the consumer opened the hoodand saw the alternator on fire. *nlm

The contact owns a 1999 infiniti i30. The contact was driving when he noticed smoking emitting from the hood into the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a local mechanic who informed the contact that the diode ignited, causing a fire in the alternator. The vehicle had not been repaired. The contact called the manufacturer who stated his vehicle was not included in recall 99v129000 (electrical system: alternator/generator/regulator). The current and failure mileages were approximately 110,000. Updated 11/03/10. *lj

When using the turn signal indicating left, it's easy to turn off the headlights at the same time accidently.if the driver's palm is down. The lights on the dashbroad remain on, making the driver unware that the headlights are off. The problem has been reported to the dealership. The dealer is not able to correct. 2/21/21, turning on the ignition created a severely rough idle, the auto could not maintain "running status",a severe fuel odor ensued with blue-black smoke billowing out of the exhaust pipe.towed to the nissan dealer in shingle springs, ca. Per the dealer evaluation: #2 fuel injector replacement and "o" rings. The mechanic found metal shavings on the fuel injector and it continued with blue-black smoke per the exhaust while running. May require new fuel sensor if this does not resolve.we purchase all our fuel from the folsom, ca. Sams club. 2/11/14 was the date of the last gas purchase. 2/20/14 we attempted to purchase fuel for another vehicle but found the station closed during inspection bya company called tankology. Could there be a relationship with metal shavings in the fuel, consequently creating this break down?to date we have spent $624.00 in repairs, $150.00 in car rental.we would appreciate your evaluation and response.thank you.

While at a stop, gas fumes collected and seeped into the passenger cabin.the dealer replaced the fuel valve and evaporator canister, but the problem still recurred. Check engine light came on and the gas pump kept shutting off when filling even though tank was not full.smell possibly came from fuel injectors on rear bank.

Seatbelt harness entrapped by seat control buttons, results in driver being dangerously and unexpectedly pushed into steering column. Reported to mfr who could not remedy and would not release from lease obligation. New 2000 model redesigned with controls well away from seatbelt base, implying full knowledge of dangerous defect in previous versions. Am interested in other similar complaints as i seek legal remedy with my lease situation. Thank you.

Water seeps inside of vehicle from beneathof vehicle. Also, rear seam in the seat of vehicle is cracked.dealer jusst keeps on fixingproblem, but there isno remedy.

I took my well-maintained, garaged 1999 infiniti i30 to the mechanic after noticing the handling getting sloppy and severe inner tire wear.upon inspection, he informed me that the front core support (the box beam frame member that extends the width of the car and supports the radiator) was rusted through.the corrosion is severe to the point that the sides of the beam are eaten away over 1/3 to 1/2 the length.in places, all that is left supporting the radiator is the top plate.the center support bar that holds the front end of the motor in place is supposed to be bolted to the bottom of the beam, but because of the corrosion, it is now hanging cantilevered.the car is not safe to drive with the motor inadequately supported. Relative to the rest of the car, the severe corrosion is localized to a 2-3 foot section of the frame (as if there is something causing thecorrosion to accelerate in this particular area).properly manufactured structural steel should not disintegrate like this.

1999 infiniti i30 hood shocks failed almost slamming on consumer fingers.the consumer contacted the manufacturer and asked them to send a replacement hood shock.the manufacturer refused to honor the consumers request because the hood shock on the consumer's vehicle was not recalled.

While driving my wife's 1999 infinit i30, i experienced an unexpected sudden acceleration when slowing to enter a parking space.i immediately stood on the brakes and put the car into neutral with the engine racing.if i had not reacted quickly, i would have crashed into the parked car ahead of me.i stopped within a few inches of that car.this has not occured before, accrding to my wife who was the primary driver of the infiniti.the car has 92,000 miles on it.
