The contact owns a 2008 infiniti g35. While operating the vehicle, the air bag sensor light blinked off and on, indicating a possible failure in the air bag system. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who diagnosed that the occupant classification system malfunctioned and the sensor, seat cushion, and air bag needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact was informed that the vin was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 08v521000 (air bags, electrical system). The contact indicated that the vehicle experienced the same failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was 80,000. Updated 7/14/15updated 10/17/2017
When passenger sits in front seat, airbag deactivates.infiniti diagnosed code as b1018 and wants $7k to replace seat cushion assembly.infiniti refuses to acknowledge safety defect as part of their recall program by saying my vin is not affected.the passenger side airbag deactivates after sitting in front seat for about a minute.
According to the us government, infiniti recalled 2008 g35 for passenger side air bag problem associated with a sensor in the front passenger seat. Air bag warning light on the dash board keeps blinking. The dealer said the recall has to be vin specific, and thus my car was not subject to the recall. Isn't a recall caused by a common or generic problem that exists in most of if not all cars of same model and same year? in this case 2008 g35? dealer said i should pay for the repair first and then seek refund from infiniti. $3500 out of my pocket and take a chance? so how do i go about getting vic specific recall?
When the passenger seat is occupied by an adult (150 lbs+), the passenger airbag warning light will sometimes illuminate indicating that the passenger airbag has been disabled.infiniti has been involved with repairing the car 4 times for this issue.at this point they are no longer willing to further investigate the issue and say it is working as intended even though the light intermittently illuminates.the infiniti dealer acknowledged that there is a design defect and maintained that infiniti?s position is that the passenger needs to continue to adjust their seating position until the airbag indicator turns off (jump up and down, sit further upright, etc).the light can remain illuminated for as long as 10-15 minutes before finally being able to get the passenger airbag to be operable.this problem is intermittent, but again, infiniti refuses to work on the car even though it is under warranty.i?m concerned that in the event of an accident, the passenger airbag is not working as intended and may not deploy as indicated by the passenger airbag warning light.
My passenger side airbag light activated and will not go off. I have had the problem diagnosed as occupant sensor unit failed. I saw a recall on the 2008 infiniti g35 for this same issue but my vin # is not showing on the recall. Recall # 08v521000. My car was bought new. Not in any accidents and only has 53,858 miles.
The contact owns a 2008 infiniti g35. While driving 35 mph over a pothole, the air bags deployed without impact or warning. A police report was not filed and there were no injuries. The vehicle drove away from the scene. In addition, the contact stated that the driver and passenger seat belts no longer retracted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
The contact owns a 2008 infinity g35. The contact stated that the front passenger's side air bag warning light illuminated with a message that the air bag was off. The passenger's side was occupied when the failure occurred. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the contact was advised that nothing was wrong with the air bag system. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 65,000 and the approximate current mileage was 65,100.
My 2008 infiniti g35 airbag and passenger airbag lights illuminated. I reset the lights and checked the wiring under the passenger seat but the lights came on again. I took the car to the dealer andthey came up with code b1018, occupant sensor (unit fail) past code. They reset the lights and recommend changing the passenger seat bottom if the lights returned. The cost?....$6137 but they will give me a discount, charging me $4176. This model was recalled for this problem but not my car...according to the vin.my car was manufactured sep 2007, right in the middle of the recalled vehicles manufactured interval.i believe infiniti should be required to assume the cost of this expensive repair by including it in the recall.
On july 7, 2009 our 2008 infiniti g35 sedan (v1) was involved in a front end collision with the rear end of a non-moving truck (v2).estimated speed was anywhere from 25-45 mph (speed limit of the road is 45mph).police were called to scene.ambulance was called for injuries to driver and passenger of v2.driver of v1 declined treatment.driver of v1 later complained of dizziness, neck pain.v1 was un-drivable and towed from the scene.airbags did not deploy on v1.upon review, a recall is in effect for the year, make and model of v1 for "lack" of airbag deployment.upon contacting infiniti to explore the recall issued in 2008 on v1, infiniti reps stated that the vin number of v1 was not included in the recall.upon conversations with repair service and others, these persons were surprised that the airbags did not deploy, with the severity of the front end crash.our concern is that the current state of v1 is unsafe for future operation and the reliability of the deployment of the airbags is uncertain.
Air bag light has been on for six months; local dealership said it would cost between $5,000 bs $6,000 to fix passenger seat airbag inflator -- because it required the replacement of the entire seat "frame." car has 21,000 miles on it. I bought it new. No accident; i find no record of a recall.
The contact owns a 2008 infiniti g35. The contact stated that while driving 40 mph, the air bag and the occupancy warning lights illuminated indicating there was no one in the passenger seat when the seat was occupied. The failure recurred constantly. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the air bag sensor unit failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 137,000.

We are having a reoccurring problem of the front passenger seat airbag sensor not working.the vehicle has a light which illuminates when the passenger airbag is not "armed" for deployment.the first time we took it to the infiniti dealership they said they could not replicate the problem.it continued to be a problem for us intermittently for over a year.my main concern was always that if we (my wife and i) were involved in a front end collision that the airbag may not deploy and she could be injured as a result.finally, a couple weeks ago, the light came on again.we happened to be close to the dealership so we took it right over.my wife even recorded a video of the light being on while she was in the passenger seat.the dealership tried replacing the airbag control unit.it is basically the "brains" of the airbag system.a few days later we picked the car up, started driving home, and the "passenger airbag off" light came back on.we immediately went back to the dealership.they further explored the problem and told us that we would need to replace the bottom part of the front passenger seat.the seat is not covered under our extended warranty so it would cost us over $5900 (yes, that's right...almost six thousand dollars!) to replace the seat.after doing some research, i have discovered that we are not alone in this problem.infiniti recalled other g35s for the same problem!our vehicle was not produced during the period that the recalled vehicles were; same model year, just different manufacturing date.in addition, after looking at the nhtsa website i found that many other people whose cars were not part of the recall are having the same problem with the airbag sensor.i believe the airbag sensor is defective on many infiniti vehicles.i just hope another recall is issued before someone is seriously hurt due to the airbag not deploying.
Infinity has a voluntary recall, nstsa #08v-521 for the passenger air bag occupant sensor (ocs) on 2008 infinity g35 with error code b1022.my car has error code b1018 with is the same issue and they will not replace the sensor.they want to charge me $7000 to replace the seat bottom.this should be covered under the recall.
Passenger seat occupancy sensor failure. This disables the airbags for the front passenger. Cost to repair approaches the value of the car ($6k-7k).seems to be a common issue with this vehicle.
The contact owns a 2008 infiniti g35. The contact stated that the air bag warning lamp flashed and indicating a malfunction. The vehicle was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 08v521000 (air bags and electrical system). The vehicle was taken to the authorized dealer, who diagnosed that the front passenger side seat needed to be replaced as well as the sensor which failed within the seat cushion containing ocs hardware. The vehicle was not repaired. The vin was not available. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 42,000. Updated 7/21/15
The contact owns a 2008 infiniti g35. Whenever the frontpassenger seat was occupied, the air bag warning indicator displayed that it was off. The air bag warning indicator started to flash. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who determined that the sensor needed replacement on the front passenger side. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 110,000.
I am the owner of a 2008 infiniti g35 sedan. It has low miles (82,000) for the year and has been meticulously maintained at the dealership throughout its lifetime. Recently we had an issue with an airbag sensor failing resulting in the passenger airbag remaining off. In the event of a collision the airbag would not deploy and this could result in very serious bodily injury. A quick search on the nhtsa website shows that there is a recall for this very issue for my model year, however my specific vehicle was not included on this recall. This is a very unique failure and has happened to multiple people as evidenced on the complaints section of the nhtsa website. This is a systematic failure in manufacturing the vehicle and is putting customers in harm's way. I contacted infiniti to discuss repairing the failure however i was told that infiniti would not help us in any way. The representative, steven, i spoke with made the decision to put me and my family at risk in order to save money. He stated that he 'carefully considered' all the facts of my case and would not step in and repair this crucial safety defect. I made him aware that this failure was unique and systematic and that it fits the description of the recall placed on other vehicles and that it poses a serious safety risk to myself and my family. Steven reiterated that infiniti would not help us repair this issue and that my concerns were 'noted'. He then told me that i could take this concern up to the bbb or nhsta. It is apparent that infiniti does not care what so ever about its customer's safety or wellbeing. Infiniti has chosen to put people at risk of severe bodily harm in order to save a few dollars. This is very disturbing news and has shaped my opinion about the company. I would urge the nhtsa to look into this because it is a known manufacturing defect.
Potential failure of passenger side airbag to deploy in the event of an incident.with adult passenger seated in passenger seat, the passenger side "airbag off" light illuminates indicating that the airbag will not deploy in the event of an accident.i have video of the problem that i shared with infiniti of chantilly dealer that shows the light on with vehicle traveling at 60-65 miles per hour with adult passenger in seat.the light stayed on for 25-30 miles.took car immediately to dealership next day.no resolution from infiniti.this problem has occurred at least 4-5 times over the past 4 months.
The contact owns a 2008 infiniti g35. The contact stated that the air bag warning light failed to function properly on the front passenger side. It indicated that it was off when a passenger was seated in the front passenger seat and on when there was no passenger. The vin was not included in a recall. The contact was unable to determine when the vehicle would be repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was not available.
Air bag warning light for the passenger seat remains on. I took it to the dealer but was told that i had to pay (nearly $4000) to test the problem and then to replace the seat. Dealer never told me that the car with this problem was subject to a recall, which started in november 2008.
The contact owns a 2008 infiniti g35.the contact stated that while turning on the vehicle, the engine revved and the vehicle accelerated without warning.the contact attempted to apply the brakes however, the brakes failed. The brake pedal fell to the floorboard. The contact crashed into a building and the air bags failed to deploy. The vehicle was towed. A police report was not filed. The contact had not taken the vehicle to the dealer. The front-end of the vehicle was severely damaged. There were no injuries. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 89,000.
In july 2019 the right side curtain airbag deployed while the car was sitting in my driveway.the car was off and not occupied.
Airbag light on dashboard keeps flashing and passenger occupant light is on even when a passenger is on the passenger seat. Took vehicle to dealer and they reported that they are receiving code 'b1018 - ocs sensor mat malfunctioning.' i know that there is currently a recall for this (nhtsa #08-521) but the dealer states that my vin is not included in this recall, however, my car is has the exact symptoms and codes for that recall. I believe my vehicle should be included in that recall notice.

When driving slow, 5 to 15 mph merging onto busy interstate 84 highway without warning the battery light, and brake light will come on and engine shuts off. The car lights, radio still work. Put the car in park start the engine and its starts up as normal. This car has gone to the dealer, and 2 other shops 800.00 later its still having a stalling issue. I have a 4 year old and this issue scares me.

My car has been stalling while driving at low speed. Several warning lights come up (check engine light, slip light, battery light) and then the engine shuts down completely. Upon placing the car in park, i am able to re-start it. This is a major safety issue. I believe my car is part of recall number 03v455000 - engine and engine cooling. However, my vin is not part of the recall, but i am experiencing the same issues associated with this recall. This needs to be re-addressed. I have children, and i am worried that this issue can cause an accident, especially while i am driving on the freeway. I have seen various similar complaints related to this issue with infiniti.
My car has started stalling while driving, while driving! i have gone to the dealer to have issue fixed, once i get it fixed it happens again, and then the dealer says it might be something else. I have a small child and its terrifying knowing that if i'm on the highway my car will stall or anywhere for that matter. It's been happening for weeks, started at very low speeds and as of yesterday the engine shut off, no steering while going at a higher speed, i could have easily been in a wreck, or even killed someone walking. It's unsafe! there are many forums online regarding this issue with infiniti vehicles and they don't care. Lawsuit waiting to happen.
Both my driver side doors will not lock or unlock due to faulty actuators. This is a very common issue that happens to many nissan owners. This is a concern for safety as i cannot lock my car or unlock with out going in and out my passenger side of my car.
Something is draining my battery. I have purchased a new battery and also tested the alternator. If my car sits for two days i have to jump the battery to start my vehicle. I google my problem and found other owners with the same problem. They imply it has something to do with the bose radio.
The contact owns a 2008 infiniti g35. After the battery failed, he noticed that the steering wheel would not turn and the rear trunk could not be opened. The vehicle was taken to the dealership where the contact was informed that nothing could be done to remedy the failure. There were no prior warnings.the current and failure mileages were 10000.

The vdc turned off on a 2008 g35 during driving at 65 mph and tail spin happened. This is a loaner vehicle from a dealership so maintenance is unknown. Forums that are googled show the same.

In my car, my radiator failed. That then made the transmission fluid and the coolant mix. My fluid in my radiator and transmission are like slime in there. My car doesn't function like it should.
Almost daily stalling at low speeds.when coming to a slowdown, the vehicle will stall with no error codes or lights given except for power completely turning off.this has resulted in numerous near misses since steering is then not powered and at times in the middle of an intersection.restart is possible by putting the car in neutral and restarting.i worry that this can cause a wreck when stalling in the middle of the intersection with traffic coming.at times, when coming to a slowdown, the car will stutter as if rpms drop very low but does not stall.the stall and near stall happens frequently.
The car idles when taking off even after warming it up... While cars are passing me by. It acts like it wants to cut off while in traffic.it was raining on the passenger side. I can't even filled the car up with a full tank of gas. Only had the car for 3 weeks and the service engine soon light come on. Took it back multiple times and still not fixed

I recently purchased this car from a nissan dealership and it happened on the first and second day owning it. The first day happened when i pulled into the gas station taxing to the gas pump and all the sudden, the steering wheel started to get harden. I looked at the rpm gauge and it was down to zero while i was in "d" mode. So shifted to park and restart the engine, then it works again. The second incident happened when i was at a stop sign turning right. Immediately after releasing the brake pedal, i turned the steering wheel and the engine stalled; therefore, the steering wheel was harden. Then i shift back to park and restart again. I'm not sure if this is common to any g35x but this is a safety issue. I do not want to image myself going into a round-about and the car stalls while other car coming toward me. Please look into this.
New vehicle driven only 4k miles when noises started emanating from the engine compartment anytime rpms exceeded 4000.dealer diagnosed problem as a burned out transmission requiring replacement.had the transmission seized up while driving, it could have led to a very dangerous situation.
Car was jerking while driving. I went to the dealer, was told that a radiator leaked to the transmission, and ruined it. Dealer flashed transmission, but lateri had "check engine" warning. I went back, dealer told me that this is because of a bad transmission. This is not safe to drive a car in this condition.i still have a power train warranty, but nissan refuses to repair transmission, because, they say, transmission problem was a secondary one, and the primary was a radiator. Nissan twice refused to repair under warranty.
The contact owns a 2008 infiniti g35 sedan.the contact stated that when he depresses the accelerator pedal, there is a brief hesitation and then the vehicle accelerates rapidly.he took the vehicle to the dealer from where it was purchased and had them inspect it; however, they were unable to identify the cause of the failure.the failure occurs intermittently only after the vehicle comes to a complete stop and proceeds to move forward.the failure was noticed ever since the vehicle was purchased and the dealer has been unable to duplicate or remedy the failure.the failure mileage was 200 and current mileage was 5,000.updated 09/15/08updated 09/18/08.

The vin was unknown. The failure mileage was 120,000.
I was stopped in traffic, and after moving off about 10 yards, the engine stalled without warning and all the power equipment stopped working.i put the vehicle in park and restarted with no problem.this problem has recurred intermittently more than 10 times since then, usually while stooped in traffic, or moving out of a parking lot.i have called infiniti customer service, but they deny all knowledge of the problem or any responsibility for fixing it.so far, the problem exists at low speeds, but i am fearful it might happen while i am driving in fast moving traffic.i have taken the car to the mechanic a few times but it is difficult to reproduce the problem since it is intermittent.
Can not fill gas tank up to limit.stops at 6 gallons.if i try to force more than 6 gallons, gas starts spurting out, spilling everywhere causing a hazard. Have to refill gas tank everyday.very annoying to have to stop & get gas on a daily basis. Very inconvenient.my job entails driving to different clients on a daily basis.depending on how many clients i have daily, i sometimes have to stop & fill gas tank with another 6 gallons before i make it to my client's house.my clients aren't too happy when i arrive late.please help with this issue. Thank you.

The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 95,000.
Vehicle will shake/shudder at approximately 40 mph.torque converter engages in lock up in 5th gear, and/or releases the lock up in 5th gear around 40mph.
Dear sir/madam,i am writing you because of a problem i encountered with infiniti automobiles while driving in loose snow. I hope you will consider this a serious issue as it could affect the safety of potentially millions of drivers.note that the car performs as expected on dry or even wet pavement, but on slushy snow the computerized transmission appears to fail and the car will not drive. Had i been aware of this problem i would never have attempted to drive the car in the snow.i do not know if this was a maintenance problem unique to this loaner or if this is a defect in the algorithm being used to control the transmission and drive train.the problemthe 2 wheel drive automatic transmission does not evenly drive the car and causes it to steer almost uncontrollably in loose slushy snow. The drive wheels loose synchronization and essentially stops working on even small inclines. I could floor the accelerator pedal and nothing would happen. The rpms in the car would remain low and the tires would hardly move.my experienceon the most recent snow in the washington, dc area on march 1 -2, 2009 i was driving an 2008 infiniti that was a loaner from a local dealership. I had to drive it from washington reagan airport for about 12 miles to get home.going south on george washington memorial parkway toward old town in alexandria there are no hills to speak of, only minor inclines. The car i was driving had to be pushed up these minor inclines, and again on the beltway after crossing the wilson bridge to the top of the hill at indian head highway. While the motor continues to run, the car will not move forward unless both wheels have traction, causing the vehicle to essentially stall.i hope that you will conduct test to determine if this is a serious problem, because not only does it cause a safety hazard with steering due to the pulling unevenly i will lead to motorist being stranded under conditions where there is snow on the highway.
New vehicle driven only 4k miles when noises started emanating from the engine compartment anytime rpms exceeded 4000.dealer diagnosed problem as a burned out transmission requiring replacement.had the transmission seized up while driving, it could have led to a very dangerous situation.
While sitting stopped at a red light, i was hit in the front by a driver who drove into the wrong lane.the driver's front air bag deployed.after the collision, i was unable to remove my seat belt.the red release button would push down, but the seat belt buckle would not come out.a police officer had to cut the belt to free me.this could have been dangerous had there been a fire or other situation which required me to escape quickly, because i was trapped in the vehicle.this was a 2008 infiniti g35 sedan rwd journey.it was repaired and sold.
While operating the vehicle, the air bag indicator illuminated and flashed off and on. In addition, the passenger side air bag indicator remained illuminated while operating the vehicle regardless if the passenger seat was occupied. The vehicle was taken to orlando infiniti (4237 millenia blvd, orlando, fl) where it was diagnosed that the passenger seat occupant sensor was faulty and the front passenger seat needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 78,100.
The contact owns a 2008 infiniti g35. The contact stated that while driving 75 mph, the rear brakes ceased. There was an abnormal scraping noise detected.there were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken several times to an independent mechanic where the contact was informed that the rotors and calipers needed to be replaced.the local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was contacted however, no further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 30,000. The vin was not available.
2010 total brake failure , immediate return to normal ,2015 same event, dealer found nothing abnormal , both times denial. Vehicle barely moving , no damage, 2nd event , with witness in daylight ,dealer refuses to address, total denial . First time backing , night , 2nd fwd both times barely moving . Pedal went to floor rapidly several times , no resistance felt , no slowing .1st time home driveway , 2nd leaving restaurant parking lot , daylight .( 2nd mileage 42587 , 1st 15580
2008 infiniti g35 sedan, bought new from dealer july 2008, had warped brake rotors about a year ago, took to dealer, they replaced a part that had a recall or had a warranty on, that they said had more air spaces in it to allow the metal to cool better, and ground down the rotors. I have warped rotors again at only 46,000 miles. I believe the metal in the stock rotors is faulty or bad engineering design. Please inspect. I should not have warped rotors for a second time at only 46,000 miles and i use my transmission a lot to slow down rather than the brakes after the first warping occurred. I see another complaint on this site by a different owner of the same make and model car with the same complaint of warped rotors at low mileage.
I purchased a 2008 infiniti g35 sedan. It is the journey package with the optional 18-inch wheels. My rotors are not safe. I only have 28,000 miles on my car and my rotors have already warped. I have read on many forums that this is a common issue with infiniti g35s and i believe the government should look into this. I am paying a premium for this car and should not have rotors warping on me before the warranty is up. Also, infiniti does not cover the charges with warping rotors. This is putting great stress on me because i have to pay for something that could have been replaced for free.
The contact owns a 2008 infiniti g35x. The contact was driving 35 mph when a noise was heard from the front driver side brakes. The vehicle was taken to a local mechanic who informed him that the backing plates were rubbing together. The manufacturer was notified of the failure who advised that there were no recalls for the vehicle and offered no further assistance. The failure mileage was 66,000.
2008 infiniti g35. Consumer express discontent with brake issues on his vehicle *tgwthe consumer stated the vehicle needed brake pads and the vehicle only has 22,000 miles.
I was traveling at around 25mph on broadway street in san francisco when all of a sudden i felt my car start to swerve on it's own. I steered to correct it but my steering wheel was completely disconnected it felt like. All i could do was hit my brakes as quickly as i could but i ended up crashing into a parked vehicle. My steering wheel had no weight and turned freely while the front wheels had no movement whatsoever. I couldn't even reverse so had to wait for the tow truck to come and pull me away from the vehicle i collided with. I called infiniti and they said they will not investigate this since i bought the car used, the mileage and it was previously in a front end collision in 2013. However, this should not happen as there is no required or recommended maintenance for steering. I was lucky that this didn't happen on the freeway or the car didn't swerve into oncoming traffic. This is a huge safety issue and i believe infiniti/ nissan should further investigate this before someone is killed.
Power steering went out completely without warning or signs of going out. It went out while trying to turn left on a large intersection. Was almost hit by oncoming traffic. Oil change was done at firestone a day prior to incident and steering fluid levels were good.
The vehicle's dashboard is melting, sticky, gooey projecting a blinding glare on the windshield.
The dash board is sticky and melting and causing glare on the windshield. Last complaint has incorrect vin .
Dashboard is sticky and melting causing glare on windshield.
Dashboard cracking and melting, car is garaged most of the time- melting on top of dashboard and cracking in front area even below airbag.
I have a 2008 infiniti g35 vehicle.i recently discovered a rust hole in the lower right passenger door frame. I took my vehicle to infiniti of scottsdale where i purchased the car to have them inspect and explain how this rust hole happened.i've taken great care of this car and have it routinely serviced and washed and parked in the garage.the infiniti dealer suggested i report the rust hole to infiniti consumer affairs - which i've done. Infiniti consumer affairs then sent me back to infiniti of scottsdale to have repairs made on the car.unfortunately, it was discovered that the rust hole in the door was just the "tip of the iceberg" in terms of rust damage to my vehicle. The dealer body shop found that the rainwater drain lines for the vehicle were improperly routed by the manufacturer and water has been draining directly into the frame resulting in nearly half of the vehicle being rusted out.the cost to repair the vehicle now vastly exceeds the limited funds approved by infiniti consumer affairs.i'm told that because my warranty on the car just expired this last november, there is nothing that infiniti consumer affairs can do to further help.the vehicle only has 63,000 miles on it and i'm still financing it and yet it now is half-rusted due to circumstances outside of my control.i'm concerned about the operational safety of driving a car with this much rust. I use my vehicle to routinely transport my young children to and from school and to their sports activities. I'm also concerned that even if repairs could be made, this damage significantly impacts the potential resale value of the vehicle.i would hope that a defective manufacturing event would have been corrected and that my car would either be fixed or replaced in order to not compromise my safety and the safety of my family.

The vdc turned off on a 2008 g35 during driving at 65 mph and tail spin happened. This is a loaner vehicle from a dealership so maintenance is unknown. Forums that are googled show the same.
Sticky dash board and cracking
When i recently purchased a set of new tires from a local tire dealer, the mechanic warned me that nissan / infiniti have a history of defective tire pressure sensors and indicated that the tire pressure sensor was indeed defective. I looked on-line and saw that vehicles have been recalled for this issue, but my vehicle was not recalled. Also, since this item is known to be defective, i do not understand why the warranty requires the part to be submitted before any action is taken or any rebate is issued. I could not be covered under my warranty since the part was discarded by the mechanic upon determining that it was defective.
The dashboard on my vehicle is starting to crack everywhere and near the air bags i looked up the problem and it seems a lot of infiniti owners are getting the same thing on their dash together with some stick liquid
Bluetooth microphone does not provide clear sound
Two complaints.1.the dashboard in my 2008 g35 is melting.it has a tacky feel and is easily damaged when touched.many cracks in the dashboard.at times the shiny appearance of the dashboard reflects light on the windshield and makes it difficult to drive.2.the sunroof has drain channels for draining off water that accumulates around the sunroof.the drain channels are plastic pipes that run through the a-pillar and spill onto the roadway underneath the vehicle.the drain channels are breaking apart at approximately dashboard height and water is injected behind the dashboard and is shorting out the vehicle controllers.while driving in a storm on a city street my instrument control panel starting blinking and eventually failed (e.g. My whole instrument panel went blank).water destroyed my bcu and the car electrical system has never been the same.replaced the bcu and drain channels.however, the electrical system has never been the same.still lose certain instruments, e.g. Water temperature gauge, and intermittent sounds of relays trying to recover lost systems.constantly getting false indicators of failures on the dash.it would have been frightening to have lost my instrument cluster while driving at night.
While driving the vehicle on the highway smoke started coming out of the undercarriage and the vehicle started catching on fire. Had to pull over to get out and wait for the fire department to put it out.
Due to sticky and melting of dash in my 2008 g35s infinity took to dealership and was told nothingcould be done about the factory defect on this vehicle. Please look into recalling of this defect
The dash board is very soft and sticky
In my car, my radiator failed. That then made the transmission fluid and the coolant mix. My fluid in my radiator and transmission are like slime in there. My car doesn't function like it should.
After backing out of a parking spot, foot was on brake, shifted into drive and the car accelerated into a 360 degree spin. It hit a retaining wall on the side and the building behind it which brought it to a stop. As this developed there was zero control of the car and the dashboard lit up like a christmas tree. It took infiniti 11 days till they checked the black box and 15 days more till they told me that there was nothing wrong with the car at the time of the accident. There was $8000.00 in damage to the car that was purchased on september 29, 2008 and had approximately 800 miles on the odometer.
Fax letter from constituent regarding problems with his 2008 infiniti g35; seeking help in trying to get infiniti to admit there are other complaints with the same vehicle as his.the consumer stated when he came to a stop, the engine would surge. When he applied the brake pedal, the vehicle surged even more, and the vehicle would then start to shake.
The vehicle's dashboard is melting, sticky, gooey projecting a blinding glare on the windshield.
Dashboard melted creating a sticky, shiny layer on the dash. This causes glare on the windshield creating a visibility hazard.
