Airbag light started blinking on 2007 g35x with 87000 miles. Dealer said it was sensor in passenger seat at a cost of $5500 to replace. These seat airbsg sensors for 04-07 were recalled but my car was made december 2006, outside of the recall.after looking this up it seems to be very common with these cars outside of the recall. It should be included. Now i can't drive the car with no airbag system.

I have been informed by the orlando infiniti dealer that "passenger control unit assembly (found passenger side occupant classification control unit failed)"although there is a recall in effect for this exact problem for 2004-2008 infiniti g35 sedans, infiniti says my car with this exact problem is not included as a vin within the recall.

The contact owns a 2007 infiniti g35x. The contact stated that the air bag warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to george harte infiniti (1076 s colony rd, wallingford, ct 06492,(203) 495-6700) where it was diagnosed that the occupant classification system control unit needed to be replaced at the cost of $5,500 for parts and labor. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 08v521000 (air bags, electrical system). The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 86,000. *ln

Air bag sensor on passenger seat malfunction. Warning light on dashboard

Car suddenly started having passenger airbag light coming on. Took to dealer 3 times and they couldn't find an answer. Forth time hit me with 3735.60 tab for faulty occupant detection sensor. Never had accident either.

2007 infiniti g35 passenger occupancy sensor malfunctions...sensor improperly 'turns off' even when seat is occupied by individual whose weight should trigger airbag activation.

The contact owned a 2007 infiniti g35. The contact was involved in a crash and the air bags failed to deploy. Details of the crash were not available. A police report was filed.the contact sustained chest contusions and abdominal pain from hitting the steering wheel that required medical attention. The vehicle was destroyed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 174,000.

Sensor unit failthe sensor has an internal faul.needs to replace ...passenger seat infinitii said not under warranty.would cost me 7000.00 to repair... Took it to dealer i bought car new from sewell infiniti ( air bar light flashing was diagnostic done on this at car dealer ( also they said no recall on this)

On quite a few occasions when my wife or grown daughter is sitting in the front passenger seat the "airbag off" light is illuminated to indicate that they are not being properly protected by the airbag system. Every time i look to make sure they aren't sitting oddly in a way that would give a false reading to the sensor and they aren't. I've taken it to the dealer three times and they continue to tell me that it is "...operating as designed."i'd like to know what part of turning off the airbag when an adult-sized person is sitting in the seat is considered "as designed.". This whole situation makes me quite concerned for the safety of my passenger every time i notice that the light is on. Infiniti seems to think that by telling me that there isn't a problem that everything is all right. That's definitely not how i see it!

The airbag light came on when i started my vehicle. It is actually the front passenger side airbag turned off considering there was adult in a seat. I checked for the recall and found many similar air bag malfunctions with the same year make and model but infiniti says it doesn't apply to my particular vin number. The passenger front seat occupancy sensor went out. At the purchase of my vehicle i bought expensive warranty but it doesn't cover airbag system. I noticed similar complaints on cars.com website.who knows what will gonna break when they buy warranty for their vehicle?i would not make a big deal out of this but to fix this small problem i have to spend $3481 because to replace this small sensor i have to buy the whole assembly of the bottom of the passenger seat. This is what infiniti service manager told me. 2007 infiniti g35here is the link for the recall http://www.arfc.org/autos/infiniti/g35/recalls/000035761000220718000000318/recall.aspx.

The contact owned a 2007 infiniti g35. While driving 35 mph on icy roads, the vehicle slid and crashed into a tree. All the air bags failed to deploy. A police report was filed. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The vehicle was destroyed and towed. The contact sustained back and neck pain, and a headache. Medical attention was not required. The manufacturer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 150,800.

When my most frequent passenger of 140 lbs sits in the passenger seat the airbag off light comes on intermittently.i have taken this into the dealer about 6 times and they have not been able to recreate the issue and have not been able to find any issue when running tests on the computer.this makes me very uneasy as an accident can happen at anytime and i am risking the life of my passenger.

The front passenger side air bag turned off while driving despite adult in seat. Checked for recalls & founds 2 for similar air bag malfunctions in same make & model but nissan says doesn't apply to my particular vin number. I noticed slimier complaints on safecar.gov website.

Passenger airbag light comes on intermittently when passenger who is pretty heavy is sitting on the front passenger seat.they have had a recall for some cars but infiniti states that my vin # is not part of the recall.

My srs light is blinking and i took it to tacoma nissan of tacoma washington and they found code b1020 occupant sensor c/u (unit fail). This item has been recalled by nissan for my 2007 nissan g35 coupe but nissan is claiming my vin# was not included in recall.

Passenger airbag not active when a passenger is seated. Sometimes it comes "on" on his own while driving.also the dashboard melt when the car is parked under the sun. Especially here in texas with high temperature. Dashboard cracking with high temperature. Toyota and mazda fix this for free for their customer but infiniti wanna charges us for that.

A safety problem with my infiniti, a 2007 g35x model occurred randomly, with odometer reading around 160,000 miles. The airbag light on the dash began to flash without having been in an accident or damage to the car in anyway. I believe that the failure of this module was not due to neglect or error on my part. Upon my research, i found an airbag safety recall on 2006 and some 2007 g35x infiniti's, but my particular vehicle was not included. A report found on the motor safety website https://www.motorsafety.org/category/infiniti/ stated this issue and recall impacted more cars than initially identified, including my model and year. I have contacted infiniti corporation asking them for help covering the cost of this $6000 repair because the inspecting mechanic stated that i should not be driving a car with a dangerous safety issue. Infiniti corporation declined covering the repair nor agreed to provide a $6000 credit toward the purchase of another infiniti vehicle since the value of a 2007 model without airbag issues is about $4000.

Occupant classification system malfunction. I have a 2007 infiniti g35 with 144000 miles, never had any accident before. Recently the air bag light started flashing for no apparent reason. I took it to the infiniti dealer and was told it was the passenger air bag sensor in the front passenger seat that was bad, and would cost several thousands dollar to fix. After doing research it suggests this is a very common problem that many infiniti/nissan owners are currently have. Nissan has recall for this particular problem for very selected vehicle but i think a wider range of recall should be done by infiniti/nissan.

2007 infiniti g-35.consumer writes in regards to unsatisfactory customer service at dealership and vehicle airbag and seat sensor recalls.*ldthe consumer stated the vehicle would not start and battery was replace multiple times.

On quite a few occasions when my wife or grown daughter is sitting in the front passenger seat the "airbag off" light is illuminated to indicate that they are not being properly protected by the airbag system.every time i look to make sure they aren't sitting oddly in a way that would give a false reading to the sensor and they aren't.i've taken it to the dealer three timesand they continue to tell me that it is "...operating as designed."during the most recent service call the service manager opened a formal case with the manufacturer but once again the message was the same as before.personally i'd like to know what part of turning off the airbag when an adult-sized person is sitting in the seat is considered "as designed".this whole situation makes me quite concerned for the safety of my passenger every time i notice that the light is on.nissan seems to think that by telling me that there isn't a problem that everything is all right.that's definitely not how i see it!

The contact owns a 2007 infiniti g35. The contact stated that the passenger side air bag off indicator illuminated. The vehicle was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 08v521000 (air bags, electrical system). The vehicle was taken to infiniti of thousand oaks (3570 thousand oaks blvd, thousand oaks, ca 91362), but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was 63,000.

Passenger airbag light indicates "airbag off" when there is an adult occupant sitting in the passenger seat (weighing 140+ pounds). This happens intermittently while stationary, in motion, and under various circumstances. The vehicle has 137,000 miles on it and the issue has become more frequent. The issue was first noticed years ago but was not as frequent.

The contact owns a 2007 infiniti g35 sedan.the contact noticed that the air bag warning indicator sporadically illuminates on the instrument control panel.this indicates that the passenger side air bag is inoperative and could fail to provide adequate protection in the event of a crash.the contact then received a recall notice for nhtsa campaign id number 08v521000 (electrical system: software) and immediately called the dealer.after inspection, a technician stated that she did not need to have her vehicle repaired because it passed the test signal between the ocs and acu systems.the contact took the vehicle to another dealer and they stated that the recall was no longer mandated.it must be changed from a recall to an optional voluntary campaign from the manufacturer.the manufacturer would not assist.the failure mileage was 1,000 and current mileage was 23,500.

Passenger airbag sensor disables when passenger is less than 120lbs.infiniti dealership said it was recurring issue with the car, and infiniti consumer relations person said it was an "recurring problem" with the g35s.infiniti referred me to dealership who will review if the sensor can be replaced and fix the problem, but dealer said it was "the way it was designed so that airbags won't deploy if a child is in the front seat".my wife is under 120lbs. She's not a child.

The contact owns a 2007 infiniti g35. The contact stated that the occupant classification system (ocs) air bag warning indicator illuminated without warning. That contact stated that anyone could sit in the passenger seat and the air bag warning indicator would not turn off. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed the vehicle and stated that the air bag ocs sensor needed to be replaced. The dealer confirmed that the air bag sensor was replaced by the previous owner. The failure recurred multiple times. The contact referenced nhtsa campaign number: 08v521000 (air bags, electrical system). The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and did not assist. The failure mileage was approximately 77,375.

In addition, the vehicle brakes independently applied and the vehicle experienced a loss of power. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was notified and did not assist. The failure mileage was 126,000.

Ac compressor failure, while car has 88k miles on it. I think it is a premature failure & infiniti should take responsibility for it.

Unbelievable for a so called luxury vehicle. My car is only 4 years old with less than 75,000 miles on it and the control board has already gone out. The air condition will not shut off (and it's freaking 60 degrees outside). I cannot turn on the radio, defrost (which is a major visibility concern-especially now that is getting colder). Nothing is working except for starting the car. I called infiniti's consumer group and was told that there are no recalls for this make and model despite the numerous complaints online. While researching service bulletins and recalls i found that this has been an issue on past infiniti models as mine. However, it's continuing into the newer models, with no type of recognition of these mechanical/electrical issues.

On 5 different occasions now the rear passenger window went down on it's own without me touching the switch and when i go to put it back up it will not go. I have to unplug the battery wait 30 seconds and then plug it back for it to work. After the second time that it happened i went to the car shop and they charged me $700 to fix the motor then 2 weeks later it happened again. The fifth time and final straw that it happened was today on 6/12/2020 when i had my 1 year old daughter in car on the highway doing 70 on the interstate and it went down and all that wind hit her face and she starts crying and i cant do anything about it because there is no shoulder where i was at and it was another 10 minutes before the next exit so now i am making a complaint for it now.

While driving my 2007 infiniti g35 tuesday june 25, 2019 the vehicle cut off while driving towork and home. Have had no prior problems and it had low miles at purchase.there is a loss of acceleration power and the vehicle hesitates, the steering wheel locks, and vehicle runs with a high idle, and the check engine light stayed on. This happened on the expressway as i was driving which is extremely dangerous.the vehicle has a defective camshaft sensor/evt control sensor/ evt control magnet retarder. I have photos, still shots pics, videos of myself driving and the engine cutting off while driving without notice due to the defective cam shaft sensor. I have pics of me on the highway due to engine shut off. I have photos of the truck that almost slammed into my car on the highway. I have videos of the check engine light currently on. I have a photo of the diagnostics the day i arrived which nalley infiniti in marietta ga is double charging me $161.00 for a diagnostic i already received.they are charging me $2298.06 for repairs. I have recall graph from infinity north america inc showing the number of recalls within the last 15 years. I gave a copy of this email along with supporting evidence to my family in the event of my death involving a fatal accident resulting from the faulty defective camshaft sensor/ evt control sensor/ evt control magnet retarder.i notated that i informed nalley infinity as a owner and consumer, and they knew about about the recall, but they did not do their due diligence by replacing the defective sensors while the vehicle was not in my care before i purchased and they won't honor or extend the recall #06v394000, 01v357. I've owned vehicle for 2 1/2 years and less than 39,000 miles at purchase. I want nalley infiniti to totally repair under warranty. Car is at dealership via tow truck on 6/25/19. Started 6/22/19 problem got worse rapidly.

While traveling on the interstate at 60mph all of a sudden the gps froze, radio turned off and climate control buttons became non functioning. Unable to use any buttons to control climate, radio and gps. Unable to use defrost button. Affected visibility and had to pull over. Took it to dealer and said it was known issue and radio controls climate and gps and need to replaced with new unit.

The contact owns a 2007 infiniti g35 sedan.the vehicle was parked and had been shut off for approximately 12 hours when it engulfed in flames.the fire began on the dashboard.the fire department extinguished the fire and a police report was filed.the vehicle was destroyed but has not been moved from the location.it was not examined for the cause of failure or repaired.the failure and current mileages were unknown.

The contact owns 2007 infiniti g35x. The contact stated the vehicle mileage, speedometer, odometer would read inaccurately on the instrument panel. The manufacturer posted a silent recall, but the vin was not associated. The dealer was contacted, but denied any assistance with repair to the defect. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 38,000 and the current mileage was 49,000. The vin was unavailable.

11/28/2019:the navigation system/center stack reset and immediately after all the dash lights lit up and the vehicle went into limp mode.the vehicle was blocks away from home and we were able to drive it back without issue.took it to an infiniti dealer who said it was transmission related.repairs were declined as this did not sound accurate and i wanted a second opinion.transmission shop looked it over and found nothing wrong with the transmission.an independent shop also looked it over and could not find anything wrong. 7/1/2020:the center stack turned off and back on and car engine died.the vehicle was pulled over.most warning lights were on and the air conditioning was on full blast and couldn't turn it off.tried to turn the car off and it wouldn't turn off.the engine kept running.drove the vehicle home and the speedometer was inop and all lights were on but car seemed to drive ok at that moment.once home the car wouldn't turn off.you'd press the button and the dash lights would turn off but the engine would keep running.eventually got it turned off.then couldn't start it back up.eventually got it started and only had first gear.brought it back home, fought with turning it off and then back on.finally got it running and it drove fine.let the vehicle sit several days and drove it to an independent shop on 7/8/2020.on the way to the shop it drove fine but the check engine light was on.i feel there is some type of electrical issue going on with the vehicle.i can report back once the shop has more time to try and diagnose a problem, but a car randomly turning off is a major cause of concern.

I own a 2007 infiniti g35 coupe. In august 2013, while driving at approximately 40 mph, the engine stalled without warning. This occurred in the middle lane of i-95 rush hour traffic. The power steering was out as well but i was able to pull my car to the shoulder. The vehicle was unable to restart after multiple attempts and was towed to the a repair facility. They were able to start the car with next morning without issue. Ran diagnostics and no code was indicated. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000.in july 2014, while increasing driving speed from approximately 20 mph - 30 mph, the engine stalled without warning and the power steering failed as well. The vehicle was able to restart after multiple attempts.

Car would die after being started.lag time in acceleration.upon inspection we were told the rear timing cover has a seal inside of it that is broken.the mechanics showed us 4 vehicles in their shop with the same issue.the seal inside this cover is so hard to reach the entire engine must be dropped in order to fix this. It is a $3k+ job.the mechanics advised that until nissan fixes the quality of this seal it will blow again in 80k.the seal is creating oil leaks into my engine and will eventually lock up the transmission.we were advise there may be a service bulletin on this issue, and a 100,000k extension on the powertrain is in the works.we cannot confirm this yet, as we are waiting for infiniti to respond.we have always kept up with the suggested maintenance on this vehicle with regular oil changes.we are extremely displeased with the fact that this is an issue that infiniti is aware of but hasn't fixed yet.we can also confirm that the passenger seat (front) shows that i am not sitting in the car and the airbags turnoff.this fluctuates given the temp outside.we believe this may be an electrical issue.

The intelligent key offered with the new technology package is not built to withstand normal use.my unit completely died with 48 hours of owning the vehicle, leaving me stranded and missing mother's day lunch.infiniti has acknowledged conflicts with the key and mobile phones, however a recall needs to be enacted.

The contact owns a 2007 infinity g35. When a passenger occupies the front passenger seat, the air bag warning light indicates that the air bag was off. The vehicle was taken to the dealer three times. The technician could not provide a remedy because he could not duplicate the failure.her vin was not included in recall 08v521000 (electrical system: software). She contacted the manufacturer, and filed a complaint. A representative stated they would contact the dealer in reference to the failure.the current andfailure mileages were 24,000.updated 12/29/09 updated 12/30/09

Car's vehicle dynamic control system took over the car on two occasions causing it to both veer to the right and speed up at the same time resulting in serious accidents-once on a perfectly clear day and the other on a slightly snowy day.

While driving, my infiniti g-35 looses engine power and the engine shuts off while driving without notice along with sudden lack of power steering.my service engine light stayed on when i started the vehicle back a short time later. Several cars had to swerve from hitting me. I was able to make it to get a diagnostics and it's saying crankshaft position sensor/ camshaft position sensor. The engine shutting off while driving start happening other times same way.this happened on the expressway and main roads. This could have caused a major accident. My airbag light is also flashing red and highlighted passenger airbag light off in yellow near clock. Engine shutting off due to crankshaft sensor with airbag malfunction. Engine also shuts off at stop lights.

2007 infiniti g35s (purchased march 2007) accelerated out of control when owner attempted to park car in work parking garage.owner turned into space then backed car to straighten out car in the parking space. When owner put car in drive to complete the parking, car accelerated out of control and crashed into concrete wall.driver airbag deployed.owner had to crawl out back door due to the force of the impact which slid car into the parked car on passenger side and driver side door stuck from damage. Insurance had infiniti check black box and claimed no fault/problems with car.took 30 days to fix car. $15,000 worth of damage to car, $2000+ known damages to other car.

2007 infiniti g35 with severe problems with steering and acceleration. Consumer states that the vehicle was in two accidents and it would pull right and accelerate with while doing so.the consumer stated in both incidents, the vehicle dynamic control system took over and pulled the vehicle to the right while at the same time causing it to accelerate.

Engine hesitate, and stall at low rpm, low speed. When stop the car at the traffic light then you start to accelerate to move the car, the engine will hesitate and sometime stall.

There is hesitation, almost stalling, when i am either going slow, when i am taking off from a stopped position, or when i am going up a hill behind vehicles at a light, so i am starting and stopping becaue we are not getting through the light.this should be a recall and not just a bulletin.this is very dangerous.if i try to pull out and my car hesitates, stops, or stalls it can put me and other drivers in danger.i cannot understand how this issue has not been made a recall.i've had it fixed once already and the issue is happening again.there have been many complaints regarding this exact same issue bulletin # itb11-018.i should not have to pay for having a safe vehicle to drive because they made it wrong.hesitation is a safety issue because it can cause the car to not take off properly from lights or pulling out onto streets.please resolve this issue quickly.this happens every single time i drive the car.thank you.

Visited infinity dealership in regards to sporadic engine stalling while in 1st gear only to later find that a recall has been issued on same year and model of my vehicle. Vehicle stalled on highway numerous times while in 1st gear. No engine light came on eluding to the fact that their is an issue. Issues has been happening for months and dealership is aware. Suspiciously, my vehicle was not named but a very basic search online does uncover that numerous consumers have been experiencing the same issue. This is putting consumers in a dangerous situation which could result in an accident. Same scenario with my passenger seat working sporadically.

Driving on the highway in fast lane during evening commute, my infinity malfunctioned - random engine shutoff.this malfunction disabled all features of vehicle - lights, steering, brakes, airbags, and more.(the previous section only let me select three affected parts) luckily i was able to coast vehicle to a stop on the inside of the highway without causing an accident, being injured myself or worse.had to have vehicle towed from scene.research shows that a variety of infinity vehicles from 2005 to the current year have experienced this same malfunction issue and there seems to have been a recall issued for later years.i contacted infinity regarding this issue and was told that my vehicle not covered.request that nhtsa investigate cause of random shutoff (some sort of fuel sensor) and issue a recall for all infinity years/models to correct this issue.infinity suggests i bring vehicle in for diagnosis but will be subject to hourly rate for diagnosis and replacement parts/repairs.

The vin was not included in nhtsa campaign: 03v455000 (engine and engine cooling). The approximate failure mileage was 110,000.

I own a 2007 infiniti g35 sedan. The vehicle hesitates/stutters/surges when slowly accelerating from a stop. This mainly occurs when the engine is cold (after a cold soak). The failure occurs while turning or driving forward and was noticed at 5-30 mph and rpms are between 700-1800. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on numerous occasions and they "could not duplicate failure." this is dangerous as the vehicle engine surge could cause a collision.

I bought my son a nissan infiniti g35 s make 2007. When driving, all of a sudden he noticed battery light on, brake light on and power steering quit working. Turning the steer was extremely hard, much much harder than a nonpower steering. Fortunately he has strong hands and is used to driving an old nonpower steering vehicle, hence he was able to still drive it. Most elderly, or females would end up with an accident, when at high speed, they can not turn the steering wheel. Especially if it happens without any warning at high speed. I took it to dealer. Found drive belt tensioner out of alignment with pulleys. Drive belt coming apart.dealer replaced drive belt and drive belt tensioner for free. Within warranty time.but i think it is a safety hazard if it happens again to him or anybody. Hence i am notifying your agency so you can investigate and keep track.

The vehicles engine consumes oil during normal operation at an unacceptable rate. I need to add oil after every 300-500 miles! and i usually end of adding up to 3- 4 quarts of extra oil between oil changes. The level of consumption may differ from vehicle to vehicle but nevertheless, it is excessive. If i were not to do so, the engine would run out of all oil well before the recommended oil change interval and result in catastrophic failure. This problem requires me to pull over several times at the side of the road to add oil during normal operation. Such maneuvers on a journey are hazardous and risky (i.e. Traffic disruption, possible crash). Moreover, if a catastrophic engine failure is to result because of the defect while the vehicle is in operation, it can result in serious injuries of occupants (i.e. Fire hazard, crash) and a high risk of fatalities.infiniti has acknowledged the defect by releasing a several technical service bulletins (tsb: itb08-xxxx) but there are three major issues: first, it only covers cars under warranty. Second, it is based on cars that show a quart of oil on dipstick while there are vehicles (like mine) which have two quart dipsticks (from factory). These vehicles, even though consuming excessive oil, will not qualify for engine replacement as oil consumption test procedure by infiniti is based on measuring mm on dipstick only and not measuring the actual oil consumed. And third, the replaced engines may still suffer from the same problem as evident by other complaints and people getting it replaced several times. Therefore, it may happen that engines are replaced by infiniti with the same defective model several times are warranty is run out.considering all this, i would like to request nhtsa to ask infiniti to issue a recall and fix this problem permanently for all defective vehicles, rather than temporary tricky solution'.

Check engine light came and mechanic cannot figure out why.

The contact owns a 2007 infiniti g35.the contact stated that while driving at approximately 40 mph, the engine stalled without warning.the vehicle was able to restart after multiple attempts. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who recommended reprogramming the ecm and the tcm system.the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vin was not included in nhtsa campaign: 03v455000 (engine and engine cooling). The approximate failure mileage was 110,000.

Infiniti issued a notification that the radiator fan motor may become inoperable, which may cause the engine coolant temperature to rise.in this case the engine protection logic will limit the vehicle speed to prevent any damage to the engine.i contend that this is a safety issue.should this failure occur, the car may be required to be driven many miles in traffic at a reduced speed.this in itself is a safety issue.

Engine constantly using excessive amounts of oil.

The contact owns a 2007 infiniti g35.the vehicle hesitates when accelerating from a stop.the failure occurs while turning or driving forward and was noticed at 10 mph.the vehicle was taken to the dealer on numerous occasions and they duplicated the failure; however, they stated that there was no remedy.the failure mileage was 20 and current mileage was 2,500.

I have a 2007 infiniti g35xsometimes when i am driving the car about 60 km/h and accelerate the car alarm comes up "engine service soon" and "slip" and "vdc" and it starts going crazy doesn't shift to the next gear and when i hit the brake it stops differently. It is hard to explain but scary it has less than 5000 km in. Also there is some noise too. The dealer ship try to find it now but i don't know about these guys. With the first thing with all the alarms.if i turn the engine off leave it for a minute and turn it back it resets the alarm but not the service engine one. They saying there is nothing wrong with it. I wish i can change this car to another brand. This is scary to drive.if you have any questions please send me an email. Also can you please give me info about canadian gov. Website i can file my report too.thanks zoltan.

I am the owner of a 2007 infiniti g35x 4 door sedan.i believe the manufacturer has created a design defect which creates hazardous driving conditions which i am sure will likely lead to accidents and injuries.this condition concerns the operation of the headlights in the furtherest on/off position.during night driving when the right turn signal indicator is activated, the headlight on/off switch is in just right position to inadvertently turn the headlights off in the middle of a right turn.in very dark areas without surface lights this defect creates a very difficult condition for the operator of the vehicle.this condition has occurred approximately 5 times in the past year of operation.i can not believe that i am the only driver of this vehicle to experience this problem - and i have other vehicles which have never experienced this condition.i have never had an accident or caused an injury because of this condition but it is frightening and alarming even to an experienced driver.i have reported this to the manufacturer on 1/20/2009.thank you for your time.

The contact owns a 2007 infiniti g35. The contact stated that there was water inside both headlight units. The front driver side headlight unit failed again. Infiniti palm springs (67615 e palm canyon dr, cathedral city, ca 92234, (760) 324-8760) stated that the vin was not included in a recall. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified and did not assist. The failure mileage was 63,700.

2007 infiniti g35 without daytime running lights. Consumer states that the canadian vehicles have it. He would like to know why american newer cars do not.

The vehicle is difficult to refuel. The pump bounces back during refueling and makes it difficult to fuel the car past half full even doing it very slowly. Infiniti sent a notification that evaporative emission vapor tube sometimes may get clogged and the symptom is difficulty to refuel. However the dealership says that this is probably a different issue. I found out that infiniti released a service bulletin for another issue relating to refuelling with similar symptom itb08-041a however it is an expensive repair if the vehicle is out of warranty. With so many issues with the fuel system, shouldn't infiniti do a recall to fix the defects with the fuel system. I am attaching both documents for your review.

The contact owns a 2007 infiniti g35 sport. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the clutch pedal failed to operate normally. The contact also mentioned that he had to burn the clutch and grind the gears in order to maneuver the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who stated that clutch slave cylinder needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was 93,000. Updated 11-25-13 the vehicle was repaired. Updated 12/04/13

Powertrain control module my car keeps dying out at stop lights and on freeway yes by a service center auto care precision tune autocare just dying out on freeway when have to stop and go on freeway. It started doing this about 4 weeks ago as of today. 6/7/2021

Two different incidents - i was in two minor low speed incidents.i believe at the time of the second the brake rod got bent (which is currently speculation and the insurance is investigating) from the first accident.after the first my accelerator would not function on some left hand turns.i got in the second accident because of the inability to "brake harder" and i was amazed i couldn't stop in the distance provided, and this braking scenario and outcome is repeatable.if i brake hard -- harder -- full stop.by the time i do a full stop my braking power is diminished and in my accident i was unable to stop in a "normal" distance.furthermore, after this second accident at < 20 mph.i have intermittent accelerator failure in all driving scenarios.i could be driving and it just cuts out.no error lights in either of these scenarios. No check engine, no slip, no abs, warnings.i previously tried to bring it up to corporate nissan and they said i had to contact the local dealership.both dealerships i tried pawned me off to parts department, which the guy was confused as to why i am asking him about potential short falls.they wanted over $1,000 each issue to investigate.meanwhile as i now find my car unsafe to drive for lack of accelerating and braking abilities, and the insurance company is investigating.two accidents in 6 months, and at least the latter i think could be due to a potential faulty part - as every mechanic i have reached out to said if it is the brake rod, and in the accidents i had, it should not have bent (if that ends up being the root cause).let alone the accelerator issues.

There is a hesitation when accelerating from stop and the vehicle is warmed after about 10 minutes of running. When tachometer hits 1100 rpms the engine sputters down to about 800 rpm and jerks forward. This does not appear to be a transmission issue as this happens every time whether in drive, park or neutral. Vehicle has only stalled once so far. There appears to be reports of this being related to a rear timing belt shield gasket. This is very concerning with the vehicle stalling.

I have had many problems with my g35x most notably the car jerks violently at or around 38 mph, i have called consumer affairs and the dealer and they both deny there even being a problem. The color is liquid platinum and there seems to be metal flakes in the clear causing there to be thousands of tiny rust spots on the paint.

The contact owns a 2007 infiniti g35. While driving approximately 35 mph in damp weather, the vehicle began making a noise which appeared to be coming from the engine compartment. The contact continued driving 20 miles and the noise continued. He stated that he had to drive slower because when he attempted to shift, the vehicle would lunge forward. He called the manufacturer and the vehicle was towed to an authorized dealer. The dealer was unable to find a problem related to the noise but informed the contact that the battery needed to be replaced. The battery was replaced; however, the following day, the contact heard the noise again. He called the manufacturer again who referred him to an authorized dealer. The dealer told him that the transmission needed to be replaced; the transmission was also replaced. He wanted to exchange the vehicle for a different one but the manufacturer refused. The failure mileage was approximately 36,000. The current mileage was approximately 38,000.

The 2007 infiniti g35 sedan manual transmission's clutch has been known to stick to the floor, thus stranding it's driver. This is a problem with either the master or slave clutch cylinder. This is random and does not matter how the car is being driven. I feel this is a safety issue which should be addressed by infiniti. I personally know several people who work for infiniti, and they have recognized this as a common problem. I feel a technical service bulletin is necessary to address this issue.

The contact owns a 2007 infiniti g35. While driving uphill at an unknown speed, the clutch pedal traveled to the floorboard. In addition, the brake pedal required excessive force. The vehicle was taken to a dealer who replaced the clutch slave cylinder, but the failure recurred a year after the repair. On a second occasion, the clutch pedal was stuck and was pumped in order to be released. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the clutch slave cylinder needed to be replaced again. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000.

Usually after the car has not been driven for a few days, i will get in and press the clutch and it will sink to the ground (i.e. There is no pressure in the clutch line).after pumping it a few times, it will usually rebuild pressure and be drivable.i have requested that my dealership fix the problem, but they claim to be unable to diagnose it, regardless of my explanation.they have bled the clutch line at one point, temporarily fixing the problem, but it is not a sustained solution.

Purchased a new 2007 infiniti g35, vehicle has under 10000 miles and has had issue on at least 6 occasions. The clutch pedal has only partially disengaged while shifting. Slowing the vehicle and pumping the clutch will release it. The smell of clutch is present following the event. Infiniti could not duplicate the problem so no work was done on my car. It still happens. Also occured on the highway, loss of power etc. Safety concern!

When driving my g35 coupe in stop & go traffic in warm weather, the clutch does not completely engage.the pedal only comes about half-way up and sometimes less than that.i almost had to put the car of the side of the road because the clutch would not engage at one point.i have replaced the fluid and ensured the lines were clear of air to no resolve.the car has less than 20k miles.

Car suddenly started having passenger airbag light coming on. Took to dealer 3 times and they couldn't find an answer. Forth time hit me with 3735.60 tab for faulty occupant detection sensor. Never had accident either.

2007 infiniti g-35.consumer writes in regards to unsatisfactory customer service at dealership and vehicle airbag and seat sensor recalls.*ldthe consumer stated the vehicle would not start and battery was replace multiple times.

The electric motor controlling the reclining of the seat back has failed. Leaving the seat back in a reclined position with no way to move the seat back into an upright appropriate driving position. It is incredibly difficult to drive because i am unable to rest my back on the seat and have to hold myself upright at all times. This seat failure occurred sometime around mid-november, and on friday may 27th i nearly experienced a collision with a stray dog in my neighborhood due to my poor viewing angle of the road when i was resting my back against the permanently reclined seat-back. Now i drive with back off the seat-back so i can better see the road, but if i get into an accident, there is no upright seat support against my back to hold my body in place and minimize trauma.

When i press brake pedal down the brake starts to slow the car, but all of the sudden the brake is completely to the floor. The car just keeps going. Brakes completely gone. I had to use the e brake to stop the car from slamming into another car in an intersection. I was able to pull the car off and on to a side road where i called aaa for a tow. That unfortunately was not the first time this has happened. The first was in a drive thru. I went to stop at the window and literally just kept rolling like i was not even pressing the brake. I started to panic and frantically pumping brake when finally i somehow had brakes again and the car came to a sudden stop. Very scary. I reported this issue to infiniti and the lady on the chat live said sorry there's nothing we can do for you. I have read blogs and blogs of people having the same issue i don't get how this is legal and not recalled. I had my child with me the day i used the e brake he was so scared he didn't want to ride in the car again.

Parking break does not hold car when fully engaged, even on a very slight hill.this has always been the case, even when the car was new.

The contact owns a 2007 infiniti g35. The contact stated that the air conditioner did not operate as intended. Only cold air emitted and could not be turned off. In addition, the vehicle brakes independently applied and the vehicle experienced a loss of power. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was notified and did not assist. The failure mileage was 126,000.

While driving i experience extreme vibrations, coming from the right side of the car traveling at or above 65 mph.once i reduced the speed vibrations did not stop, but it was manageable. I had my tires balanced and rotated the next day, thinking that would fix it.but once again it started, my vehicle has new tires and i had the vehicle aligned.after driving the car a couple more days, the vibrations stop but days later it began again.i was fed up, so i took vehicle to my mechanic and found that the right rear caliper had gotten stuck and it would not return to its proper place after brakes were depress, thus making the car vibrate after driving above 65 mph.i had the calipers replaced, but now the left side it vibrating as well.the vehicle had no visible rust or problems, perhaps caliper is or are defectives after only 7 years on the road.

This safety concern is in regards to the brakes every time i accelerate on the brakes from speed there is a vibration causing the vehicle to jerk.

There was no incident. My concern is that a automobile should not have to have new rear brakes pads and refinished rotors at only 20,000 miles. I consider this situation as a serious defect in this particular model. I have driven many cars and have never had to replace any brake parts as soon. Usually, the front brake wear first. The brakes were becoming very poor and i had to have them serviced for safety reason. I would hope that you would check into this as i really feel that it is important that the general public is aware of this apparent defect in the brake system on this model. Thank you.

Loss of power steering under normal driving conditions. I first noticed the brake and battery light on. When i attempted to make a left turn to get off of a major road, i realized i no longer had power steering. Fortunately, i was near a shopping center and was able to drive the car off the road and into the parking lot. Here's the end result. The dealer service center said the belt tensioner seized which broke the belt. In my case, the belt also tore off the front crank seal and engine oil was everywhere. My car is 2007 g35 sedan with 13,000 miles. When i retrieved my car, the service rep indicated infiniti was aware of the problem and they subsequently redesigned the parts. Claimed i should not have the problem again - boy i hope so. I could have been in a serious accident because of the known defect. Why this isn't a recall issue is beyond me. I am reporting it so others will know of this issue. Is this another case of repair as needed rather than recall?

Infiniti g 35x2007. At 20,000 miles, the power steering belt broke during speeds of 60 mph. I was told the belt was defective. At 25,000 miles, the beltbroke again on the freeway at 60 mph. I had difficulty maneuvering the caroff the freeway and am traffic heavy with no shoulder. The dealership replaced the belt again but was unable to state the cause. They stated they replaced parts surrounding the belt. I now have approx 28,000 miles and a wheel bearing and the differential had to be replaced. Nissan, the parent company is aware of the power steering issue but states that this has neverhappened with any of their vehicles. I believe i have a lemon vehicle but washington state lemon law states too much time has elapsed to be coveredunder this. We received noassistance from nissan corp.i consider this a safety issue.

Top of dashboard melting and creating a glare.

I believe the paint on the 2007 infiniti g35 is defective.the dealer did not tell me when i purchased the vehicle that it needed to be sealed.after only having the vehicle 2 months, the paint on my hood is ruined from bird droppings.i was at work and by the time i was able to wash it off my paint was ruined.when i called the dealer about the problem he told me the paint was such 'high tech' paint that it should have been sealed and then he told me the dealership spends thousands of dollars every year having cars repaired from their lot because of bird droppings.if the paint is that bad, it should be sealedcoated from the factory!

My 2007 infiniti g35x has rust on the back hood. The dealer will take no responsibility for this issue. This car also has very cheap interior material around the door pulls that has scratched off and the plastic is exposed.infiniti will not take any responsibility for using a defected product around the door pulls and steering wheel although online you can read many complaints.

Dash board looks like start melting and sticky. When driving in a sunny day reflects back from the windshield looks like a mirror back into my face face sometimes can see and i have to stop the vehicle to see! should be a recall on it. Really dangerous to drive like this!

The contact owns 2007 infiniti g35s. The contact stated that the window seals were sticky and unstable. The vehicle was taken to a dealer.the technician diagnosed the seals needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 28,000 and the current mileage was 38,000.

When taking my 2007 infiniti g35 coupe in for service, both the tech and myself noticed a bad pop when opening the hood of the car. The tech stated that he has seen this many times with other infiniti cars especially those that are the same model. He explained to me what was causing this issue. The hinges are corroding where they attach to the body of the car. Because of this, when the hood is opened, the torque from opening the hood is causing the hinges to bend. In addition to the hinges corroding and bending, when the hood is being opened, it is causing the entire hood to sink lower than it should which results in it damaging the fenders. The hood rubs against the fenders causing themto bend and chip.after listening to the tech, i did some research online and found that there are many people who have had this happen to them. There are a lot of forums and online articles that discuss this issue.i called infiniti to discuss this issue with them and they said that there is no recall for this issue. Even the tech said that this should be a recall item because hinges, especially those connecting the hood to the car, should never do this.i am writing in hopes of getting some sort of action taken to get this issue addressed by infiniti and having them make it a recall item.

There are metal paint flakes lodged in the clear-coat of the paint job, all over the vehicle.it shows up as small specs of color in the paint finish, really obvious when you have a black car.

Tires on car were a mixed size on font and back.

In the hot months the dash board melts, and becomes extremely sticky. Once melted, the dash reflects light coming through the windshield and becomes super reflective and bright causing visibility issues that are almost blinding at certain points of the day.it is extremely dangerous and a safety issue. This started roughly four or five years ago and has gotten progressively worse.

Car's dash gets sticky and shinny when exposed to direct sunlight. Once sticky and shinny, it gets reflected on the front windshield obstructing my visibility on the road. This condition started about 7 months ago, noticed it after parked outside under direct sunlight. Contacted the local rep and was informed i had to pay for the dash replacement as the manufacturer is not recognizing the problem as one to be covered under recall. There was a previous dash replacement on this vehicle; the original one was replaced on 2011 after spotting two hairline cracks on it (in that case it was covered under warranty).

My dashboard (top near the windshield glass) is always sticky and shiny in certain parts and collects dust.it makes it difficult to drive in the sun because of the glare from the stickiness.the lightly driven car is kept in garage at home and exposed to sun when at work. Vehicle has 57k miles and has always been garage kept.i am concerned after hearing about other infiniti dashboards that are melting and no action from the manufacturer.

When driving into the sun, the melting dash causes a glare on my windshield which can make it difficult to see. I noticed the issue a while back but never thought to report it.

The seal around the windows is dry rotting or splitting, making a lot of wind noise when driving on the highway. Makes it hard to hear sirens or other cars on the road.

When using cruise control and going downhill there is a constant braking feeling that makes the ride feel jerky.never experienced this on any other vehicle.spoke with other owners and they have same experience and dea;er advised nothing can be done.sunroof is very noisy when opened at highway speeds.the flap that pops up when the roof is opened is the culprit.when you hold down with your hand it is much quieter.

As i came to a stop sign one day and began to proceed driving, my car cut off when i pressed the accelerator and the steering wheel locked.as weeks went by the same problem began to happen more frequently.now each time i come to a stop and proceed to drive, the car will cut off if i don't hurry up and push downhard on the gas peddle.this is dangerous as my car almost cut off several times while attempting to cross through an intersection with oncoming traffic.everyday now when i come to a red light or a stop sign i have to make sure to hit the gas peddle extra hard to keep the car from cutting off on me.i believe this is a problem with the cam shaft.i did some research on the model infinity that i have, and i found that the 2005 and 2006 models were recalled for this same problem of the car cutting off.

2007 infiniti g35x premium 4dr accident on march 13, 2011 in parking lot of a church; after i parked the car, before changing the car to park and takeoff the seat belt to go to church. The car went out of control; accelerated, and i was unable to stop the car. I tried the brakes ' and it just kept speeding up forward, towards the church building which may have killed the attendees of the church service.i finally tried the steering wheel to the right which worked, hit a tree, a car and van that were parking in front of church and finally stopped the infiniti.as of now insurance & infiniti dealer checked and reported the car body damages, did not check any software speed control malfunction. They want me to approve the fixes. I want a true investigation about the speed control issues of this model of infiniti g35x 2007. Kindly update me with your recommendation--------- i found similar cases on the net...

I was at a traffic light on a four lane highway.no overpass, trees, other vehicles, etc.the light changed to green, i accelerated, when my car reached 15 mph i heard an explosion.i pulled to the side of the road to inspect my tires. There was no damage.i got back in my car, pulled back on the road and could hear wind.i pulled back over and got out to find the sunroof glass had exploded.when i took my car to infiniti two hours later the only thing the service manager could tell me was that it was not something i did and maybe it was positive pressure.at the time of the explosion all windows, including the sunroof, were closed and the cooling system was on fresh air.my car is less than a month out of warranty and a lot less than 60k.currently, infiniti is not offering to repair the sunroof under good faith or warranty.

Dashboard has become extremely shiny creating a reflection on the front windshield that obstructs vision.it's blinding when the sun is setting and the vehicle is facing west.it's difficult enough at dusk or dawn, but this added dangerous glare makes it a safety hazard.the dash is also like putty.if i touch it, it actually molds to where my finger moves.that's not dangerous, but the glare on the windshield shouldn't be an acceptable problem for nissan/infiniti.it's going to get someone killed.this is a widespread problem!

My dash has the exact same conditions as described in the news channel link below. My car is a 2007.from 2005 until just recently in 2014 i traveled for work m-f, and when i did my car was parked in my garage.yet still, my dash appears to be melting.http://www.abcactionnews.com/money/consumer/taking-action-for-you/two-new-lawsuits-have-been-filed-against-car-makers-over-melting-dashboards#taking%20action%20for%20you%3a%20melting%20dashboards%20lead%20to%20lawsuits.

I've owned my vehicle for just a little over two months and i regret my choice. The driver window acts up. I've been having problems with the window for about a month now. I goes up extremely slow! the auto button doesn't work. Just today i lowered my window all the way down and it wouldn't go up. I had to use my hands to pry it up. This will be the second time i take my vehicle back to the dealer because of this issue.

As i was driving normally, my sunroof exploded outwards. I was not actuating the sunroof in any way at the time and the interior shade was closed. A large, central portion of the glass was propelled into the air and rained back down on the car. It sounded like a shotgun right next to my ear. I saw glass from the sunroof sliding down the rear window. What remains of the sunroof is an outer ring of glass that is slanted upwards towards the center, like a volcano, proving that the glass exploded outwards. I have a dash cam in my car that recorded exactly what was happening at the time, including audio. The video shows nothing that could have impacted the sunroof and an extremely loud bang as the sunroof exploded on its own.

Sunroof exploded from the inside out of my 2007 infiniti g35x.vehicle was moving on highway at 65 mph - nothing hit the vehicle to cause the explosion.this is definitely a manufacturer's defect which could have caused a very serious accident with injuries or death.car was towed to the dealership where car was purchased.the manufacturer and the dealership will not take responsibility for the defect, nor will they provide data to back up their statement that this is a safe vehicle.no investigation or vehicle inspection was conducted.sunroof was removed and replaced without my consent.they want to repair the vehicle without any concrete explanation or data of why this occurred?
