Air bag light is flashing on drivers side. Horn quit working a year ago and infinity dealership in tulsa okla always checks on the maintenance form that the horn works.... I get the car serviced at jackie cooper infinity, tulsa okla.each time the oil needs changing. I have brought this up to the service mgr. Service advisor informed me there's no recall on my car. But recall website says different. I just want the truth.

Airbag light blinking. Recall for this car year and model but not my specific vehicle?? dealership & infiniti refusing to fix this under recall...

2006 infiniti g35. Consumer states that he received a recall for the passenger airbag harness and is having difficulty getting the work done.the consumer stated he lives approximately 500 miles from the nearest infiniti dealer which is out of the way and the other dealership which is a nissan dealer that is closer had a difficult time getting reimbursed from manufacturer in the past when they performed recall work on infinities.

Vehicle accelerated rapidly while coming to a stop in a slot parking space. Operators foot was on the break peddle at the time of the rapid acceleration. Vehiclethen crashed into a tree and came to a complete stop.the crash caused extensive front end damage to the hood and front bumper and the energy absorbing system.the air bags did not deploy but the air bag indicator lamp is on.

Dashboard cracking

I was almost a complete stop when i was rear ended.the impact was pretty hard, and the vehicle was ultimately a total loss.at the time of collision, my drivers side seat collapsed back on me almost to a full recline position.due to this, my seat belt was completely loose, and felt as if i did not have one on.i slid down, andmy ankles were bruised on top, and my baseball cap flew off into the back seat.also, the airbag did not deploy.

My car was involved in a accident where the front end crumpled but the airbags did not deploy. My daughter was the driver and she was traveling down a 6 lane highway at 30 miles an hour when a van coming out of a median crossed in front of her. She ended up "t" boning the van.

Dashboard is cracking on or near airbags.i park my car in air cooled garages 24/7 and have never applied an products that would dry it out to cause the cracks.i feel the cracks in the dash may affect the airbag deployment and my safety.please help.

My car falls under this recall...yet when i take it to the dealership, or look on line on their site. They will not honor the recall- will not fix my car!! what can i do about it? how can i get my car fixed.below is 1 of 100 articles about it on the internet: nissan is recalling 134,000 infiniti g35 vehicles due to a defect in their airbag systems that could cause the safety feature not to deploy in an accident. The recall affects 2005 to 2006 models of the infiniti g35 sedan and 2005 to 2007 models of the g35 coupe.according to the national highway traffic safety administration: ?the wire harness connecting the belt tension sensor (bts) and the occupant detection sensor (ods) control unit under the front passenger seat can experience relative movement which can cause wear and oxidization of the terminals and may cause interruption of the signal.? in other words, ?the air bag may not deploy and could increase the risk of an injury,? explains the detroit news.?the automaker has not yet notified the feds of how the faulty wire harnesses will be fixed, but the official recall is now being announced, just two weeks after the potential problem was reported to nhtsa,? writes autoblog. Still, the detroit free press reports that nissan spokesman [xxx] said if a vehicle's red air bag warning light had turned on, the owner can bring their car into their dealer for repair.?some 2007 and 2008 g35 and g37 models have already been through a similar recall. Systems that detect whether a passenger is present in the front passenger?s seat and turn the relevant airbags on or off have proven problematic for several automakers. Bmw and hyundai have issued similar recalls for the same system in recent years.owners with questions should contact the national highway traffic safety administration's vehicle safety hotline at 1-888-327-4236.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Air bags disabled sensor remains on. I have taken vehicle to have repaired at nissan dealer twice, but each time the disabled sensor will come back on. I filed complaint with infiniti but after the initial contact the assigned agent would not respond to my phone calls after they discovered what the complaint was about. The complaint was file in april of 2009 with infiniti corporation. This vehicle was still under warranty at the time the company stopped responding to my complaint about the air bag disabled sensor coming on. The repairs and complaint are in infiniti's corporate files. The vehicle was taken to pearson inifiniti in richmond, va to be repaired twice for the sensor before i file a complaint with the corporation. The vehicle still has not been repaired. The problem started when the vehicle had about 35,000 miles on the odometer.

Engine consumes 2.5 qrts oil every 800 miles & only 19-20 miles per gal gas and this decreases with oil consumption.clutch assy faulty/grinding noiseincreased with mileage, windows have binding noise up/down, passenger air bag light does not illuminate when seat is occupied or unoccupied.

The car is having tons of electrical issues with climate control , radio and passenger air bag sensors. Body control module and seats. Car won't start and i have taken to 3 different shops and experts and cannot figure out issue with car. Car is not operable and won't start. Contacted infinity and they told me they don't have any open recalls.they don't offer any information or help on major car issues for a 2006 model. Please assist on this matter.infinity is refusing to acknowledge all issues with electrical and bcm issues on g35's.

Light of air bag on driver's companion seat turn on and off from time to time, even if no one is sitting on seat. Also multiple cracks were present in the dashboard and were located near the air bag. The contact indicated that one crack extended from the passenger side to the driver side. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired.

"takata recall" - when starting and driving the car, the seat belt/air bag light flashes consistently. This has been going on for more than a week. I took it to the infiniti dealer on 7/2 and had a diagnostic performed at which time i was told it had to do with a previous recall and they were able to reset it.however when i started the car, the flashing light indicator for the seat belt/air bag came on again.i brought it to the dealer's attention and another diagnostic was performed and i was advised that i needed a new airbag and that i would be responsible for the charge.the airbag was never deployed, so i do not understand why i would be responsible for replacing or absorbing the cost. I need to know if this issue is associated to the takata recall and asked that you investigate and let us know if there is a recall for this vehicle.i am very concerned, worried and uncomfortable driving the car in this condition.eagerly await your response on next step needed to rectify this issue.

Airbag light blinks continuosly

On another occasion, while driving at approximately 45 mph, a police officer stated that the running tails lights were not illuminating. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 123,000.

Window motors have had to be replaced multiple times.randomly end up opening for no reason and get stuck in the down position.

Driving slow in traffic jam, press on gas car died, just cut off. Without warning.no warning lights previously or during.

The third brake light that sits in the window doesn't not light when brakes are applied when power was attached to the light it worked but not when plugged in to theharness in the carthe tail brake lights work however

Driving on highway 50 my way to work the following dash lights came on vdc off, abs, slip. After pulling over to examine what was wrong i discovered i had no brake lights & the 10 amp brake fuse had blown. I then got back in my car to drive to a parts store & the shift lock wouldn't disengage. So i manually engaged the shift lock & drove to the parts store & replaced the fuse but the dash lights were still on so i began to drive home & the brakes became tighter & wouldn't release & they eventually were completely locked with all 4 so hot they were smoking so i parked it. The next day i went to drive to a mechanic & the brakes had released but the more i drove they started engaging on their own without releasing & became hot again so i parked it again. Basically after it sets the brakes release but after driving for a short distance 2-5 miles theybegin to engage & not release causing them to overheat. I've searched the internet for solutions & it appears numerous people have had the same problem & some have had a short in a brake wire harness & others have replaced speed sensors or abs pumps but they can't tell which caused the problem since it's intermittent. I believe this is a safety issue because i was in motion on a highway with a tractor trailor behind me & my brakes began engaging on their own & i was terrified of being rear ended & possibly killed. Now i'm afraid to drive my vehicle because i don't know if it will happen again or how to fix it.

The contact owns a 2006 infiniti g35x. The contact started the vehicle and turned on the climate control however, no air would blow from the vents. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnosis where the dealer stated that they needed to replace the radio head unit. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and stated that the vehicle was not under warranty, providing no additional assistance. The failure and the current mileage was 40,000.

All switches for radio, horn only work when steering wheel is in approximately 180 degree position. In normal driving position, no horn or other steering mounted controls function.

While i was traveling on the highway at 70mph, the glass from my sunroof flew off of my vehicle onto on coming traffic. There is no active recall for this and it seems that may other people have had this same issue.

The top mount rear light (3rd brake light) on my g35 only works intermittently or not all sometimes.it is a very common problem with the sedan model.could be a potential safety issue with cars behind not realizing the g35 in front is stopping.

The contact owns a 2006 infiniti g35. The contact stated that the defroster and heater panel shut off and on without warning. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who was unable to diagnose the cause of the failure. The contact called berman infiniti of niles at (847-828-8001, located at 5757 w touhy ave, niles, il 60714) and was informed that there was no recall. The contact was informed to bring the vehicle to their facility for diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that there was no recall. The contact was informed to call nhtsa. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 86,000. *tp

My fans quit working in my car we replaced all fuses and fans 3 times already and now have wires melting from the fan to the harness we looked at all wires made sure they were not melted the first time but now their melted and fans not working fuses either. Plus it over heats.

The fuel gauge is malfunctioning and showing half full despite the amount of fuel in the tank. Gauge cluster test confirmed this issue. Gauge issue occurs regardless of speed and/or location of vehicle. Test method:hold the trip reset buton and turn the ignition on. Now push the trip button 10 times in about 5sec. This will enter self diag mode. All the needles will drop now push it and hold all the needles should go. Halfway. If the fuel gauge needle sticks then you have your answer.

Infinity g35 shuts off while driving vcd light comes on slip light comes on and check engine light comes on. The g35 dies, low power, or sputters at low or slowing engine speed e.g. When slowing for traffic signals, or turning (usually across a lane of traffic!). I have had it happen on the interstate it was immediately following a sharp release of the accelerator, as when punching it to pass then release, or reaching speed limit, and release, from acceleration lane. Once right after entering the freeway, i was setting my cruise control when it sputtered and i was afraid it was going to die but it finally kicked in with the cruise control.i don't know the ecm code but it indicated: cam shaft position sensor. I wonder if there are any others with this code or problem? like everyone else, mine is not covered under any of the recalls.i have taken my car to the dealer shop several times with the complaint of strong gas smell prior to this code/engine light coming on. They tell me there is nothing wrong.i'm not sure whether this is connected to the cam shaft sensor or not, but the smell of gas inside the cabin is very strong while driving at time.the gas fumes can be smelled out side the vehicle when not in motion either after just starting or parking the vehicle.

My car stalls while drivinganywhere .. Hwy,interstate, driveway...and sometimes dies when slowing down. The slip light comes on when this happens. It usually loses powerful a few secondsandthen jolts back to power scaring me to death. It has died completely too when i pull into a very slow down mode.this has happened many many times.

Driving slow in traffic jam, press on gas car died, just cut off. Without warning.no warning lights previously or during.

I was heading south on i 75 in florida heading towards bradenton in the passing lane doing between 75 & 80 when my engine shut down making a loud noise.i immediately put my flashers on and was able to move to the side of the road in the emergency lane, luckily there was one. The car behind me went to the middle lane at that point. I am so furious this happened as i just had my car serviced the week before and i am 72, a senior citizen.the cooling fans apparently knocked out the thermostat. I had it towed to the dealer in tampa who then informs me the warranty was extended on a recalltill october and that infiniti would pay for the cooling fans but not the thermostat...i think all infiniti owners should've been notified of this problem and had it fixed but no letters were written, its an unwritten recall apparently because they have had problems.i find fault with this situation because i could have been killed waiting for help just being on the side of the road like that on an interstate....shame on infiniti for not making this a true recall.... Are they waiting for someone to get killed before they officially recall it??i no longer have any confidence in infiniti and am looking for a different vehicle to purchase, this one is off my list now... This car has been very expensive to keep up....

I own a 2006 infiniti g35 coupe that has less than 60k miles and burns two quarts of oil every 1000 miles. I originally became aware of the problem back in 2008. I took my vehicle to the dealership to begin excessive engine oil consumption testing. At that time i only drove about 200 miles a month and the dealer said i needed to be driving 2500 miles to perform the test. I explained that there wasn't a way to put the mileage on my car without unnecessarily driving around town. My car requires premium gas and it's absolutely ridiculous for someone to think i would spend thousands in gas to show my car has a oil burning issue. Last monthafter less than a thousand miles since my last oil change, my service engine light came on. I took to the dealer immediately and they said my car definitely has a oil consumption problem. They also said they would not fix it because my warranty is expired by time not mileage. The manufacturer as well as the dealer are fully aware that there is tsb issued on my vehicle. I have opened a case with infiniti consumer affairs as well as the bbb. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.[xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

The oil burns like crazy it caused my car to lock up being the it happens without warning, having to do oil changes once a month which is insanity. This has been a problem not only in the infiniti g35 but also the nissan 350z models. Usually a problem with manual 6spd transmission models. This should be a recall being that no one has been able to fix the problem!

I have a 2006 manual transmission g35 that is consuming up to 2 quarts of oil every 1000 miles. I did not realize this was happening until my engine made a loud repetitive ticking noise and when i checked the oil there was less than a quart in it. I've since continued topping off my oil weekly and contacted the dealerships. Since i am out of warranty the only thing i can do is replace the block myself. I am very disappointed how they are handling this situation with not only me but many other infiniti owners. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

My 2006 infinity g35 manual transmission has 86,000 miles and has excessive oil consumption. I put 3 quarts of oil in after just 700 miles of driving.i took it to the dealership for an oil consumption test. They confirmed that there are no leaks. They performed an oil change and placed dye in the oil. I'm to take it back after 500 driving miles. There are multiple complaints on the internet regarding this exact issue; however, to date, nissan has not issued a recall.this is completely unacceptable.i have taken excellent care of my car and now this - no support from nissan.please nhtsa help!

Oil consumption problem.i lose at least 1 qt every 1,000 miles.dealer did an oil consumption test and claims it only lost 2 qts in 3,500 miles.they zip tied everything so i could not check it myself.when i check the oil myself it always loses at least 1 qt for every 1,000 miles driven.the dealer lied but still forwarded my claim to infiniti corporate.i never heard from them so i called them myself and they said they would not do anything about it.my car is a manual and i read online that this is a very common problem.why is this not force recalled by the government?engine could seize on a highway and cause a collision.

My car is burned to much oil i have oil consumption

The contact owns a 2006 infiniti g35. The contact stated that while driving approximately 45 mph, the engine stalled with the illumination of the check engine warning indicator. A loud noise was also heard after the failure occurred. The vehicle was towed to an authorized dealer where the technician informed the contact that the engine would need to be replaced due to a massive crack in the engine block. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 75,860.

Dealer stating that i need both catalytic converters replaced.my local mechanic states, that he has seen many infiniti and nissans 2005-2007 have catalytic converter problems.my car has 110,000 miles

My engine consumes oil, 2 quarts/1000 miles . I am the 3rd owner and i have just recently been informed of an oil consumption recall back in 2008.

I have always had my mechanic do servicing on my infiniti until he closed the business. Since then, i have been doing my own oil changes at home. Doing so, i have noticed that the amount of used engine oil is roughly 2.5 quarts. In the owners manual, when changing the engine oil with oil filter, the vehicle intakes 5 quarts of oil. It seems like the engine is burning oil because i don't see any oil leak marks on my driveway.

Excessive engine oil consumption.the vehicle has 148k miles. This problem has resurface many times in the past and i get a warning that the vehicle need to be service. Each time the dealer informed me that the oil level was low and after they add oil and reset the warning it is fine until the oil again goes below the safe level. The car has been maintained by the same dealership since it was purchased. On the last previous services due to this issue i been told that the engine needs to be replace. Navigating the internet i have found various similar complains from customer were the dealer has replaced the engine. Since this is appears to be a manufacturer defect, i believe it should be corrected by the infiniti company even that the warranty is expired due that i have addressed this to them on various previous visits ( i don't have the exact time this first happened, the date below is a estimated guess) to their service department.

The contact owns a 2006 infiniti g35 coupe. The contact stated that the vehicle exhibited very little engine power when accelerating from stops. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer and the contact was informed that the engine was burning through a lot of radiator fluid. The contact was also informed that the radiator fluid was turning into a very dark color. In addition, the contact stated that he often times had to jam the transmission into third gear and the vehicle experienced difficulty shifting into reverse. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and offered no assistance. The failure mileage was 40,000.

The contact owns a 2006 infiniti g35 coupe. The contact stated that while driving 55 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact inspected the vehicle and found that there was an overconsumption of oil. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The technician diagnosed that the engine needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but did not offer any assistance since the vehicle was no longer under warranty. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 50,800.

I have a 2006 infiniti g35 sedan. After i purchased the car. I noticed that there was noise coming from the cars belt during cold start. I took it to the dealer they said it was the belts. I got them changed. Its is still making noise. I have been on other forum sites and other people have the same problem. For some people the noise lasts a few seconds for other couple of minutes. I have always called infiniti and told them about the problem. It is not only the 2006 that have them, its is the 2003,2004,2005 and 2006 from what i have heard.

Unusual high oil consumption noticed around 25,000 miles.i am 61 years old and do not drive much or abuse the engine, i just wanted a reliable car with manual transmission.#1 dealer (very hostile) tested oil after 1000 miles showing only 4mm missing, however the same morning i have documented pictures showing 9 to 10mm of oil missing on the dip stick. Conclusion: dealer added oil prior of calling me in to see their oil check!asked infiniti consumer affairs to redo test at second dealer.#2 dealer was much nicer to my complaint, but when i received the car after the free oil fill, the dip stick was sealed with a plastic tie!their answer was: "you are not supposed to check the oil level until you come back after 2000 miles" !!!.after 2000 miles of driving they opened the seal on the dip stick which showed about 12mm of oil loss. (have picture). Now i concluded that the dipstick was sealed so i cannot see that they (dealer #2) overfilled oil by about 1/2 quart, why i am saying this ?because in all my private measurements show about 10mm per 1000 miles and 20 mm at 2000 miles, which is in the bad range as shown in their own tsb. Currently the odometer is 32,275 miles, which is extremely low mileage for such an oil loss. They have revised the tsb 4 times to date.

It has been brought to my attention by an infiniti dealer that my 2006 infiniti g35 coupe has fallen into a "not good" category for excessive oil consumption.

At ~7,900mi, i took my g35 coupe 6mt to infiniti dealership when i started hearing a knocking noise and noticed that the "check engine" light would come up every few times a week.i was called in 4 more times after that (every 1,000mi) specifically for oil-level testing. The dealership received an approval to replace the engine, and at 14,500mi, after just about 6 months, i drove out with a new one (10102-ac7m9).i was told to go easy for the initial 12-15k.after driving about 1000mi now, i am running low on oil.i just checked it myself.i plan on taking it to the dealership soon to record it formally.but this is not the only problem i am having, the new engine seems to be a lot louder and a bit sluggish too.. Yes.. Definitely not the ride i got used too!!

Excessive oil consumption and excessive engine noise and/or vibration coming from the engine.

I want to report that nissan/infiniti has a major defect with the engines being used in the infiniti g35 and nissan 350z cars.the defects are causing engines to blow due to low oil capacity.this is a major safety threat to the owners of the cars and to other motorists on the road. I want infiniti to take back my vehicle because i believe it is a safety threat to me, my wife, my 3 year old child and other motorists around me.infiniti has been unwilling to work with me in this capacity.the evidence against infiniti is staggering as can be seen on the discussion threads that i have posted below. The engine is consuming too much oil.

When my leased 06' g35 coupe hit around 6,000 miles it started making a rattling sound from under the hood. When i brought the car to the dealership to be checked on they advised me that my engine was consuming too much oil & that the engine would have to be replaced. They replaced the engine but than at around 7,000 miles the same noise came back. I have been to the dealership 4 times in the last 3 months and everytime i go back the car is 2-3 qrts oil low. The problem is that the engine that they replaced my old engine with has the same issue & it will continue to happen unless i am given a new manufactured engine - which seems to be unavailable. This is a major safety concern for my family & i want them to take back the vehicle or provide me with a new engine. I have complained to infiniti consumer affairs who are aware of the situation but i feel i am getting nowhere. Ininiti consumer affairs states that the case is being researched. This is unacceptable for a leased vehicle & it needs to be addressed.

I have an 06 infiniti g35 coupe, and eversince i purchased it about 3 months ago, engine has a pinging/knocking problem because it is running lean.there is no modification done to the engine whatsoever.

My 2006 infiniti g35 consumes oil that nissan is aware about. The car doesn't burn oil or leak oil, but consumes around 1 quart of oil every 1800 miles. The manufacture recommends an oil change every 3,750 miles. I change my oil at 3000 miles and everytime i change my oil my car is always 3 quarts low. My car starts to make noises at start up and my low oil light comes on. I'm tired of this issue and nissan/infiniti is not doing anything about it. Its costing me way to much money and i want something done about it.

Not sure this is something you would pursue but i have not been able to get satisfaction from lake norman infiniti locally or their national customer service support desk. I have a 2006 infiniti coupe with 24k miles on it. I had an issue with what was determined to be the cooling fans for that car.i was told by the parts manager(john) at the dealership that car has known issues with the cooling fans. The service manager (victor) sent me to the national team. The car went into service on 08/05/06. The part failed on or about 08/15/14. I am being told by the national team that the part had a 8 yr ' hard' warranty on it.there have since been denials about the part being defective since my initial contact with lake norman dealership. I was there in march of 2014 for service and was never communicated an issue with that part. The car has low mileage as it sits in the garage most the time.i was driving it to wilmington when i saw the first evidence of a problem on 08/16.as a result of the issue, i had to replace the cooling fans and the radiator on the car.

Excessive oil consumption.one to one and one half quart of oil is used every 700 to 900 miles.some intervals are shorter at 500 to 700 miles per one quart of oil used and some are longer, 700 to 1,000 one and one half quart will be needed.oil light has never come on as i have checked the oil every 500 miles since the purchase of this vehicle.vehicle is currently at 15,800 miles.

Excessive oil consumption noted at 6,000 miles. Continued with 1,000 mile interval test for oil consumption and found 1qt low at 7,000 miles, 1.5 qts low at 8,000 miles, and 1 qt at 9000 miles. Infiniti said they ordered me a new engine. This was a 2.5 months ago and i'm at 12,500 miles. I've had to top off my engine with a 2 quarts of oil and my own service department does not call me back.

Engine new used 1 qt of oil every 1200 miles. Oil consumption somewhat better with more miles, but still 1 qt/2500 mile presently with 21,000 miles on engine. Dealer said it was my driving habits and nissan/infiniti won't do anything about it unless it consumes more than 1qt/1000 mile. I followed factory engine break-in guidelines, i do not race my vehicle and dealer has done all factory scheduled oil services. Nissan/infiniti apparently is aware of this issue and apparently have a revised engine for warranty replacement, but my understanding, only if you consume worse than 1qt/1000 miles. My present oil consumption of 1qt/2500miles in my opinion, is unacceptable in today's standards and feel i should be entitled to this new revised engine for warranty replacement as well.

2006 infiniti g35 coupe suffering from excessive oil consumption. Car was purchased used from infiniti of oakland in december 2007 with 15k miles. Car burned 2.5 quarts between 15k and 20k miles. It is currently undergoing an oil consumption test with infiniti per service bulletin itb08-002c.

The contact owns a 2006 infiniti g35 sedan.the contact heard a ticking sound while accelerating.the dealer was unable to diagnose the cause of failure.the check engine light illuminated at 3,300 miles.the dealer replaced the cam shaft sensor.at 6,400 miles, the ticking noise returned and the check engine and oil lights illuminated.the dealer diagnosed the vehicle as consuming a large amount of oil.the vehicle was put through an oil consumption test and failed twice.at 7,500 miles, the vehicle stalled while turning and the check engine light illuminated once more.the dealer has diagnosed the vehicle as needing a new engine and would like to install a test engine designed for this type of failure.the engine size was unknown.the current mileage is 8,600 and failure mileage was 1,800.the consumer stated the vehicle shifts very rough. Updated 07/06/07.

Excessive engine oil consumption:i check my engine oil every 500 miles and i have to add a half quart of oil each time.my engine does not have any leaks, my car has never had any modifications and it is very well maintained.

2006 infiniti g35 coupe 6-speed manual transmission1- noticed the oil levels were too low before 3000mile.2- engine's low oil levels would cause a noise in the engine and performance decreases, until additional oil was added.3- i had to take the car into the dealer every 1000miles to monitor the loss of oil.(which was 1.5 to 2.5 quarts every 1000miles.)after 5 such check ups, infiniti approved replacing my engine.engine was replaced this week. (10-18-07).

The contact owns a 2006 infiniti g35. While traveling approximately 30 mph, the vehicle suddenly stalled and the service engine warning lamp, slip warning lamp, and vdc off warning lamp illuminated. The contact was able to pull the vehicle over, turn off, and restart the vehicle. The vehicle was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 03v455000 (engine and engine cooling). The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where it was diagnosed that the crank (camshaft) position sensors needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 161,218.

Tried to use tire jack on 2006 infiniti g35 in my driveway.driveway is concrete and level.when front passenger tire was approx 1' off ground the tire jack failed.it buckled and car came off it.jack never used before.major safety issue.luckily no one hurt.

-the contact owns a 2006 infiniti g35 and attempted to utilize the built in blue tooth. When he attempting to dial a number the incorrect number connected, and thiswas a distraction to the driver.infiniti was aware of the problem, and did not have a remedy. The current mileage was 9000 and the failure mileage was 15.

Third brake light has failed and is not an cheaper one to replace. It would cost me around $500 to replace third brake light leds. It happened on my friend's car too.

The contact owns a 2006 infiniti g35. Upon entering the vehicle, the steering control panel lights, the gear shifter, and middle console lighting were not illuminating. On another occasion, while driving at approximately 45 mph, a police officer stated that the running tails lights were not illuminating. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 123,000.

3rd brake light works less than half the time. The reflection of the light when on is visible from the rear view mirror. It has been a concern for about 3 month. Viewed on a g35 forum that this problem is very common for our cars. Filling out to this complaint to try to get a recall for this problem. This problem can potentially cause an accident as the tail lights would look like night lights and not brake lights.

The high mount third stop light works intermittently on my 2006 infiniti g35 sedan. This is my wife's car and i am concern for the safety of her and others on the road, as this is a safety light that should not fail. After this has been brought to my attention i have noticed that other infiniti cars on the road have the same problem. This is clearly a safety problem that should not be overlooked.

3rd brake light non-functional.

Third brake light failed on my 2006 g35 sedan. I looked online and found that this is a very common issue, and was pointed to this site to try and get some action done to cover this problem.

3rd brake light dims and works intermittently.

Led center high mount stop light fails prematurely. Common issue on 03-06 g35 sedans.failure is related to the light itself due to either defective leds or resistors in the light. Common complaint on internet forums and commonly seen on road. Expensive to repair and required for inspection and safety which is why it's a frequently complained about issue.my own vehicle is experiencing a failed third brake light. Part is expensive to purchase and required complete dismantling of rear seat area and package tray to replace.

The third brake light that sits in the window doesn't not light when brakes are applied when power was attached to the light it worked but not when plugged in to theharness in the carthe tail brake lights work however

Infiniti g35 with third brake light failure. Third brake is an assembly made of led's and technically do not burn out and last past the life of the vehicle. Dealership refuses to take responsibility as a manufacturer defect.the failure happen 11/11/2010 and third brake light does not work anymore.nothing has been done to replace failed assembly but looking for parts.

My rear deck brake light works only intermittently.

High mount brake light or 3rd brake light has stopped functioning due to a underrated diode on the circuit board. This creates an unsafe situation in alerting other drivers of braking/slowing and is not passable for texas state inspection.

Car third brake light fails to operate

My sedan's third brake light works intermittently. I have tested the wiring and the light always has power, but sometimes it just doesn't light up.

The rear third brake light on my 2006 g35 coupe (no-spoiler) began working intermittently after only 4-5 years in service.about 2 years ago it went out completely.

Infiniti g35 3rd brake light works temporarily. Can cause rear end accidents. Please have infiniti recall and fix this problem.

The top mount rear light (3rd brake light) on my g35 only works intermittently or not all sometimes.it is a very common problem with the sedan model.could be a potential safety issue with cars behind not realizing the g35 in front is stopping.

Third brake light works only intermittently. No rhyme or reason why it's not working all the time as when it does work, all the lights shine at full brightness. No accidents, no electrical faults, it just randomly stopped working 100% of the time.

I own a 2006 infiniti g35 and just learned that my center high mount stop light works intermittently.i have begun to research this and discovered that the problem is very common among cars similar to mine.i know the third brake light was working recently and i have seen it illuminate recently but not always.this concerns me for the safety and repair problems, and for the fact that it seems to be a widespread problem with these cars.i think there should be a factory recall issued for this safety equipment.

3rd brake light dims and works intermittently.

Subject:new infinity 35 brake lightdear sir: i followed a new model of infinity-35 on the off ramp of north bound 101 freeway at woodside exit at redwood city, ca around 8:10 pm tonight. While we were approaching the traffic light of the exit, the tail light of car in front brighten up so intense that almost blind my eye. It almost caused an accident to me since i was not able see the road for a instance. I guess the such flash was due the ignition of the brake light. The tail/brake light of the infinity-35 is not the regular tail light seen in older car, it composes of many smaller lights (may be led). In this new model, the smaller light layout as two circulate ring. I believe this is not a unique incident and may be caught other people of guard of those sharp/intense brake light. Can you please check whether this is a hazard to the general public? i did take down the license plate of the car and related information as follows for your reference:model: infinity 35 color: black license: 5sgh189 time of incident: 8:10 pm 3/21/2006 place of incident: woodside offramp, north 101, redwood city, ca. If possible, can you give me a response what will nhsta do about my complain. I can be contact at [email protected] or 650-430-96666 thanks! archie.

The contact owns a 2006 infinity g35. The contact stated that the fuel gauge indicated that there was no fuel in the fuel tank when the fuel tank was actually filled to capacity. The vehicle could hold up to sixteen gallons, but only allowed eight gallons. The vehicle was taken in for a diagnosis and the contact was informed that the fuel gauge was defective. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 40,557 and the current mileage was 42,000.

1. Car was hard to stop when braking for a light2. Car accelerated on is own when entering driveway had to slam on brakes3. Checked around the pedals for any thing that may have caused this. Nothing was found so i took the car for a test drive. And when i slowed on my street prior to turning into my driveway the car took off on it's own again. I had to put the car in neutral to stop it. When i did the engine redlined by itself.

The contact owns a 2006 infinity g35 sedan. The contact stated the fuel valve failed and the fuel tank could not be filled over two gallons because the valve would close while refueling. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the fuel sensor bracket was replaced. The manufacturer was contacted and denied assistance with the repairs.the failure mileage was 55,200 and the current mileage was 55,400.updated 1/20/12 updated 02/01/12

Car ran out of gas twice. Was informed the first time that gas sensor was defected so it was replaced. The second time, last week, it ran out of gas and was told tha the unified meter assembly needs to be replaced for $940. This make and model car seems to have defects in oil consumption as well as defective fuel gauges. According to this site, the fuel gauge problem was addressed by nissan, however, not all vehicles were repaired.

Check engine light is constantly on.both fuel sensor units were replaced on vehicle.gas gauge not working properly.--p0462 obd-ii trouble code: fuel level sensor circuit low input.

Fuel gauge reads inaccurately causing vehicle to run out of fuel.very common problem on this model across the years of 2003 - 2006.nissan has addressed the problem with some of their models, but not all.if vehicle runs out of fuel, it can disable the vehicle causing increased steering effort and possibly a crash.

The engine stalled with out warning while i was driving. Now the service engine soon, vdc, and slip light comes on, the engine sometimes will not start, i've also experience reduced power and hesitation. I have seen a recall for the exact same problem for my year and model, but not for my vin.

Iam unable to put fuel in my car. The gas just runs out of the gas tank when i am trying to enter the gas. It keeps making a clicking sound. I feel unsafe because i don't know if i have any gas in the car and i am afraid the car will run out of gas

While driving, in traffic, the vehicle failed to accelerate. Cars behind me were at a safe enough distance that i could put on my hazard lights and restart the car. This, also, happens when trying to start the car a.m. Or p.m. (with the vehicle being parked):it fails to start.the "vdc" and "slip" light comes on.this continues to happen.

Dt*:the contact stated while at a gasoline station to fill the gas tank, the fuel door was lock and would not unlock.an independent mechanic at the gasoline station recommended accessing the fuel door lock through a panel in the trunk. However, once the trunk was opened there was no access through the trunk.the emergency infinity road assistance was contacted who provided the same recommendation which was also listed in owner's manual.when the vehicle was taken to the infinity dealer the mechanic was also surprised about the inability to access the fuel tank through the trunk. To open the fuel tank door a plastic item was inserted about an inch through the door which resulted in breaking the latch which meant it could not be lock again.the manufacturer was notified and determined that this has never happened before and offered to replace the latch.

Clutch pedal sticks and makesnoise all the time. Dealership replaced slave cylinder at 72,000 miles, but the problem has returned at 92,000 miles.

I have a 2006 infiniti g35 and the idler pulley on the car has failed once before and it is occurring again. The car has 10,500 miles on it. The first one failed at 7500 miles of use. The dealer told me that this is a common failure in these cars. They replaced the first one under warranty and the car is now out of warranty.

Clutch pedal does not return to proper placement under normal driving.clutch pedal sticks and changes engagement point.suspected faulty clutch master cylinder.

Clutch on vehicle 2006 g35 coupe with 19,300 miles went bad. Read online and researched and found that under 20,000 miles is very low for this to be happening under "normal wear and tear" conditions. Dealership was not willing to cover 4yr - 60,000 mile factory warranty, and was told this was considered normal wear and tear similar to brake pads!! clutch?...brake pads? same?!?! they would only cover if part was found to be defective. Had to order replacementparts that were tested to be more durable than oem version of clutch. Seems to happen often in this model car and very early on in the vehicles life.

The contact owns a 2006 infiniti g35 coupe. The contact stated that when driving at various speeds and shifting gears, the clutch pedal would become stuck in the open throttle position and the rpms would increase tremendously. The failure would occur intermittently. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer yet they were unable to duplicate the failure. The failure continued and the vehicle was again, taken to the dealer. The dealer advised her that the clutch would need replacing. The vehicle was not repaired. 2006 infiniti g35 coupe & sedanother models may be affected, and from research there is.hydraulic clutch fluid boils and contaminates similar to gm problem.this results in the clutch not coming up from the floor all the way.i've searched a lot on the internet seems to be a common problem and as of right now inifiniti claims no knowledge (allegedly).the clutch uses dot3 brake fluid which is being contaminated and turning brown resulting in clutch problem.the fluid is somehow being overheated.it seems replacing the fluid and using dot4 might render a fix.

Infinity g35 coupe 2006 model:seat belts do not retract properly.they come out of the guide, get tangled and the door closes on them. The seat belt when in use cuts across my neck instead of the shoulder and there is not way to adjust it.i am 5'6" and of normal height and weight, this problem makes driving very uncomfortable.i have taken the car to the dealership and was told that it is a "design flaw".the dealer was unable to do anything about it.not being able to use the seat belts properly can result in people not using them at all.

My car is burned to much oil i have oil consumption

The car is having tons of electrical issues with climate control , radio and passenger air bag sensors. Body control module and seats. Car won't start and i have taken to 3 different shops and experts and cannot figure out issue with car. Car is not operable and won't start. Contacted infinity and they told me they don't have any open recalls.they don't offer any information or help on major car issues for a 2006 model. Please assist on this matter.infinity is refusing to acknowledge all issues with electrical and bcm issues on g35's.

The contact owns a 2006 infiniti g35. The contact stated that the front passengers seat failed as the air bag light warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the front seat switch needed to be replaced. The contact mentioned that the vehicle was unable to be repaired under nhtsa campaign id number: 10v175000 (air bags, seats). The vehicle was not repaired.the failure mileage was 116,000 and the current mileage was 121,000.

The driver side seat track on my 2006 infinite g35x has broken on 3 occasions and has rendered the car undriveable without expensive repair.there is a technical service bulletin dated on july 2007 as seats bulletin 02080.this tsb should become a recall because it is extremely dangerous and almost caused me to get into an accident. And is very costly to repair for the consumer.this is a wide spread problem for the make and model of this vehicle and infinite needs to do a recall.

2006 infiniti g35 coupe was driven 10 miles and parked.driver returned 7 minutes later to find interior of car on fire.nyc fire department responded and found the fire had extinguished itself.air bags were deployed and interior of car was burnt.fireman suggested that fire may have been caused by a defective seat heater.

The anti-lock braking system module (abs) has burned out and is happening so often, infinity is unable to supply the demand and there is a nationwide back order for the part.after waiting 2 weeks for the part beginning 10/31/13, my mechanic disconnected the abs module, so that i can have transportation because he does not know when the part will be available. I no longer have use of abs and this also keeps vehicle dynamic control from functioning.as of today's date 12/09/13, i am still waiting for the part and driving without the use of safety features during this wet winter months.it may be worth noting that the low end of this repair at an independent shop is $1400 and high end $2100.a cost many people may not be able afford leading to more disconnected anti-lock braking systems on the road.

The contact owns a 2006 inifinti g35 coupe.when he applies pressure on the brake pedal, he hears a squeaking noise. Sometimes when braking he feels grinding. The dealer was contacted, but they could not identify the cause of the failure. He been in contact with infinite consumer affairs, but no assistance was provided.he was also advised that the failure was a normal characteristic of the vehicle. The vehicle has been traded in for a 2009 infiniti.the failure mileage was 25. The current mileage was 52000.

When emergency braking, my vehicle's abs system dips hard and pulls heavily to the front right of the vehicle, causing a harsh right side pull to the steering wheel.has occurred at speeds between 60-65 mph and 30-35 mph, dry and wet roads, highway and surface streets.tires were nearly new and properly inflated during one occurrence.have reported to the dealership multiple times but refuse to investigate further as they are unable to "duplicate" the issue.dealership claims vehicle is "too sophisticated" to do any further inspection.

The contact owns a 2006 infinity g35 coupe. While driving 70 mph the wheel started to shake when the brakes were depressed, this made it hard to control the steering.the problem occurred intermittently. The failure mileage was 90 and the current mileage was 6,000.the vin was unavailable.

Routine service of the 2006 infiniti g35x sedan at 18,000 miles required new front brake pads and rotors at a cost of almost $600.when i questioned the replacement of the brakes, especially the rotors, at this early stage i was told by the dealer this was normal for this model at about 20,000 miles.my research showed that this was a historical problem with this model, the company even extended the warrantyto cover front brakes on the 2003-2005 models.complaint filed with the manufacturer but was told this was considered normal maintenance, there was nothing they could/would do.

My service station notified me that i needed new brakes on my 2006 infiniti g35x at 9,000 miles.having been through the extended warranty on my last g35, i feel that this is unusual.infiniti claims usual replacement at about 20,000 miles.

While driving, wheels started shaking. When i took the vehicle to infiniti they said the compression rods went bad and that this was a common problem in g35s. Service guy even told me that the part is defective and if it breaks while driving your tire/wheel can fly off. If it is defective then why hasn't infiniti issued a recall?

The steering column adjuster to move the steering column into a position not only of comfort for the driver but the position to drive safely has stopped working. The adjustment can no longer be made for each specific driver. The column is stuck in its lowest position. The column can move in and out for distance, but will not adjust for the vertical up and down positions. The switch does not make any noise for the vertical alignment. You can hear the motor running for the in/out movement the column does however, there is no noise for the up and down adjustment.

The car makes steering wheel noise whenengine is cold and they couldn't find the problem! as a result i have that noise increasing every dayand technicians said to keep driving since problem is not significant!the car has 18000 miles under warranty!

All switches for radio, horn only work when steering wheel is in approximately 180 degree position. In normal driving position, no horn or other steering mounted controls function.

I am unsure of the original date that i noticed. I did call my local infiniti dealership to inquire about a recall and they stated that there was none. My dashboard has melted and is cracking in several spots. I cannot clean it and it is extremely sticky so everything gets stuck to it.

The contact owns a 2006 infiniti g-35 coupe. The contact stated the exterior pant was chipping from the hood near the headlights and the roof. The manufacturer advised that the failure was attributed to environmental factors and would not provide any assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileages were 31,114.

The dashboard is cracking and melting. The dashboard is melted so bad in some spots that the dashboard can't even be cleaned. The cracks in the dashboard are starting to get worse each day. I am afraid that the cracks will become so severe it will eventually affect the driving safety of the vehicle.

While i was traveling on the highway at 70mph, the glass from my sunroof flew off of my vehicle onto on coming traffic. There is no active recall for this and it seems that may other people have had this same issue.

Was going down ramp onto interstate 85 northbound. I had a bus in front of me, i was switching lanes, he switched lanes right i front of me. All of a sudden a piece of metal from the back end of the bus flew up and hit my bumper. Pulled over and inspected. Bumper paint is scratched off. I have the license plate of the bus.

Both outside and inside door handles on driver's door failed thus making door mechanism impossible to activate and driver's door impossible to open from inside or outside under any conditions.door cannot be pushed open from inside because latch mechanism is in closed position securing door closed and handles do not work. Contacted dealer and dealer said it is probably a failed handle cable and that it is not uncommon on this model and is not covered under any recall, reimbursement, or safety program. This is a serious safety issue because the complete failure of the door latch mechanism traps the driver in the car; it is almost impossible for an adult-sized driver to get out because they cannot effectively crawl over the center console and gear shift to the passenger seat, assuming the passenger door is not blocked.a recall of this known defect is required immediately to save lives and allow trapped drivers and passengers to get out of car in reasonable time and way.

The contact owns a 2006 infiniti g35. While driving at various speeds, the driver side seat reclined and moved forward independently without warning. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 125,000.

I recently noticed rust popping through the upper door tape on both front doors on the 06 infiniti g35x.closer inspection showed that both front doors due to a design or quality issue was rusting from the inside out on both doors.my main concern, outside of how bad the rust looks is the crash and safety integrity of the doors in a crash. I brought the car by the dealer and they identified there was a known issue for 03-04 g35 and the 06 g35 and they could not assist further.i contacted nissan customer care and opened a case and the end result was a denial for indicating the cause was environmental and not there problem.i could not accept this and indicated both of my 2006 g35 front door are rusting from the inside and is clearly a design or part integrity issue and not a environmental issue. He again stated there was nothing else he could do and offered a service spiff instead. I indicated this was not acceptable and requested a call back from his supervisor. A call was received the next business day from his supervisor who stated their decision stands and doors are rusting from the inside out due to environmental factors and was not nissan issue and their decision was final.advised i still would not accept this and she stated this was end of the line for my file. I am posting this so all can be informed how nissan stands behind their products and how they really feel about their customers-they do not care. My main concern outside of the unsatisfactory look of the rust is the safety and integrity of the doors in crash.i often have my small children in the vehicle and now feel the doors integrity is clearly compromised as the doors are rusted out and getting worse.it is sad nissan/infiniti is not concerned about the safety and integrity of the parts used on my vehicle to assist further with this unacceptable rust issue that can easily be resolved.

2006 g35x sedan - when opening the hood a loud creaking sound is made and the front fenders were scraped by the hood of the vehicle. The vehicle was never in any kind of accident and worked just fine when previously opened.checked on the internet and apparently its a very common problem for the hood hinges to become bent or fail to be lubricated causing the hood to shift and in some cases even bend the hood/front fenders of the vehicle.there is no mention of needing to lubricate this part in the manual for standard maintenance. As it only just happened i have yet to find out if the local infiniti dealer will be covering the damages under the certified preowned warranty.

The infiniti g and nissan 350z have significant tire wear issues.these vehicles were produced without the means to adjust the tire camber.therefore, tires are lasting less than 20,000 miles.the tires are overheating and tire belts are breaking.i consider this a significant safety issue as i had a tire failure this last weekend due to a broken tire belt.a class action lawsuit is in the works, but i feel a dot investigation is needed.thank you in advance for your efforts.

While checking tire pressure tpms broke - filed by jiffy lube.

G35 sedan ,that the third brake light (the one in the back glass) either does not work, or works intermittently.

I first complained to a consumer affairs representative for infiniti in april, 2014, at the time the vehicle had approximately 42,000 miles. I am retired and don't drive very much, about 3,000 miles a year. I have owned infinities since 1990 when i bought an m class, i've had all the classes; j, g whatever. Until 2005 i would buy and or lease a new car every 2 to 3 years. However, since i've been retired the need to replace a good running car, which has been mechanically superb and with less than 49,000 miles would be an extravagant and unnecessary move. I have not had an accident in over 20 yrs. The problems are regarding the exterior paint, which shows minor rust and the fading of the color in areas that are not necessarily overly exposed to the sun, i.e. Bellow the roof and over the rear doors. However, my biggest concern is the interior door panels which have pulled away from the doors due to a skimping of perhaps as little as 1/4" of material under the horizontal strip which is supposed to keep the panel in place. I have attempted to re-glue the panels, however due to the shrinkage of the material; my attempts have been less than successful. Since this is the first vehicle that i have ever owned for a period greater than 4 years, i am extremely disappointed with the obvious lack of companies, infiniti and nissan with their seeming lack of action for a longtime loyal customer. Sadly, in my correspondence to infiniti consumer affairs, their response was a jolt to my sensibility and completely unacceptable.

I have a 2006 infiniti g35 coupe with manual transmission. While driving my vehicle for a long period of time or driving in heavy traffic i notice that when i switch gears my clutch pedal gets stuck to the ground and will not pop back into place unless manually pushing it back up with my foot. This has happened multiple times and several other g35 owners have complained about the same problem with their vehicle

Melting dashboard first noticed about 2 years ago.this year is has gotten a lot worse and many cracks in the dashboard expanding.difficult to clearly see out of the windshield due to the glare produced by the shiny melted dashboard.infiniti unresponsive.

This vehicle was imported from canada at blaine, washington in 2014.this vehicle still reports speed in kilometers and records mileage in kilometers even though it now has a washington title..

Service engine soon light came on and the car suddenly accelerated by itself from 40 mph to 55 mph without me touching any pedal. I had to push the brakes hard to get the car under control. Once i approached stop sign the car would not pick up the acceleration even when i am trying to accelerate, it picks up really slowly. I am going to take it to dealer tomorrow and if it is a manufactures defect i am going to consumer court to solve the issue. I was really terrified driving the car.

Driving slow in traffic jam, press on gas car died, just cut off. Without warning.no warning lights previously or during.
