Note: model is new for 2011...g25 (not in your database).when an iphone is connected to the ipod interface in the vehicle the playback skips and is intermittent. It occurs every time the iphone is connected and is continuously intermittent throughout the play time. This problem causes undue attention to be paid to the problem sited and not the task of driving safely. The manufacturer has not corrected the problem. This is a new vehicle (<600 miles).

After normal use, and with no warning indications, the vehicle failed to start after being parked.it was observed that the steering wheel failed to lock, and the intelligent key indicator illuminated from the dash when the push-button ignition was pressed.according to the 2011 infiniti g owner's manual, when the intelligent key indicator light appears, it indicates a malfunction with the electrical steering lock system or the intelligent key system indicator.the vehicle had to be towed to the infiniti dealer, and the defective steering lock had to be replaced, in order to return the vehicle back into an operable state. This mechanical defect poses a safety risk to unexpected vehicle owners, as it could leave them immobile in insecure surroundings, and prevent them from reaching immediate help when threatened or harassed, and in the event of emergencies, medical conditions or adverse weather conditions.what is more disturbing, is that infiniti is aware of the steering lock defect.this is evident from the numerous complaints of infiniti owners, published on the nhtsa website, consumer advocacy websites, online forums, message boards, and social networks.in addition, nissan (infiniti's parent company) addressed this problem with a voluntary service campaign on specific my2009-10 nissan altima, altima coupe, altima hybrid, and maxima vehicles, with the replacement of the existing electronic steering column lock (escl) with an electronic steering column box (escb). However, infiniti (the luxury division of nissan) has refused to take ownership of this known defect with their steering lock and will not make corrective actions on the behalf of their customers to ensure the quality and safety of their product.

The steering lock unit failed on my infiniti g25x. It was was stationary at a grocery store and when i came out it would not start so i had it towed to infiniti of lynnwood. I see their was a recall on this part by nissan but infiniti refused to honor it even though it's the same part. Infinitihas a great scam going as only the dealership can fix this problem so they charge outrageous prices. $2,264.14 is what the infiniti dealership wants to fix this. Please help.

This happened 9.03.19. I ran some errands then proceeded to head home. Everything was fine. I was parked for about 2.5 hours wheni went back to my car. It let me in as usual so i didn't think anything was a miss. However, when i tried to start it. It didn't start. I tried changing the battery on the intelligent key fob and nothing. On the dash was yellowish key light appeared every time i tried to turn the car on. I took it to my mechanic and he originally thought it was the battery because the light didn't come on. He tried to give it a boost and still nothing. We brought it to the shop and it turned out to the steering lockbox.this issue could cause someone to be in a dangerous situation. Luckily i was home, however, i could have been anywhere with my 5 yr old child. I was not prepared for anything to go wrong as i received no indicators that something was wrong. I keep up with all maintenance on my car because i rely on it to get me to point a and so on along with my precious cargo with me. I called infiniti and check this website to check for recalls and nothing was listed.

I was turning left at an intersection. The other driver ran the light and hit me in the front quarter panel at an estimated speed of 40 mph. He also left the scene of the accident with 2 flat tires and a broken radiator. My car was spun into the opposite direction about 200 feet. The airbags did not deploy. I was smashed into my driver side door and window. I have multiple broken bones. I do not plan to put my child in this car once it is repaired. My insurance would not total the vehicle. Do we know if takata airbags were used in the g25 models?
