I was driving on the highway and i ran out of fuel and had to maneuver to the side of the road safely. The fuel gauge read that there was still one quarter of a tank of fuel remainingand there actually wasn't. I spent about $350 to replace both sending units and that did not work. Then i replaced the fuel pump for $450 and that didn't work either.
Fuel gauge stuck on empty. Warning light on.
The contact owns a 2013 infiniti fx37. While driving at any speed and when accelerating from a stop sign, the vehicle failed to accelerate when the accelerator pedal was depressed. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The failure recurred multiple times. The dealer diagnosed the failure as gear searching and/or surfing. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 42,000.
