2009 fx35 infiniti more than 80% of the time i experience electrical shocks after exiting my car touching the door to close it. I contacted an infiniti to investigate and was told they found grounds o.k. And suggested before exiting the car i should touch the inside of the door frame to discharge any electrical current especially if i were to gas up the car. I contacted infinity usa to see if they had a solution to this problem and after checking with there technical staff they said there was nothing they could do except recommend i go to another infiniti dealer and have them investigate the problem. The bottom line is nothing was found and there was nothing further the could do.i don't like being shocked touching the exterior of my car but even a greater concern is the potential for a fire or worse yet explosion gasing up. Just to expand a biton the shoes i wear at the time of these shocks it doesn't seem to matter if the souls are leather or rubber, either way it happens. Please advise me.
My car started rather violently lurching when i accelerated. This was followed by an apparent electronics failure in the car.the speedometer stopped working. Turn signals stopped working. Brake light came on by itself. Air conditioning went off. Various icon lights that i did not recognize came on. When i stopped the car it would not turn off.after a while the ac came back on and i was able to turn off the car. When i came back to the car to drive again later, after a short period of time the incident started again.i called the dealer in san antonio, gunn infiniti, and they could not help me on the phone. I called their road number and they arranged to have the car towed to san antonio. They have had the car for over a week and have not figured out what has caused an apparent defect in the car's computer affecting the electronic syster. At no time did i feel that i was in danger while driving, although without a functioning turn signal and speedometer i could not have driven for long.as of monday, march 8 they still have the car and have not been able to determine the cause of the failure and have not given me an estimated time when they think they will have the car back to me.
This vehicle randomly and suddenly has engine failure. This alone should really not be much of an issue except this advanced technology vehicle looses steering and brakes as soon as the engine quits. I have had 3 near misses with accidents as a result. The dealership is not able to find the problem even though there is a service bulletin out about this problem. There are no computer codes left behind to detect why the stalls are occurring. The only thing that has saved me is that the vehicle can be started again in neutral which restores steering and breaking power. It is a scary and unsafe vehicle at this time and no body seems to be able to find a cure.

While driving on the highway, the gears stall on the 2nd gear and power cuts off from the engine. This has occurred 3 times on highways. Turned off the car and restarted with no engine response. Did this 2 more times and engine restored power. Engine stalling is common with daily driving and cuts off when in 2nd gear. Infiniti dealership has attempted to reflash the transmission but nothing has been resolved.

In november of 2019, while driving my son to school. The passenger door locks wouldn't allow the door to open. He had to climb over my seat in order to exit the vehicle. The door has not opened since. I've called several infiniti dealers since last nov and they all have referred me to a body shop to fix the problem. All 3 body shops i've contacted had no idea how to fix the problem or how to get the door open without doing major damage to the vehicle. I ha e filed a complaint with infiniti customer relations, they told me that since the car is out of warranty they will not help w any repair cost. I have also spoken with a design engineer from nissan about this issue. He confirmed that this is a major safety hazard that needs addressed immediately. Upon research in the infiniti forums and other websites i notice that i am not the only one with this issue. Several people have experienced the same issue. Today i was finally able to contact a head tech at louisville infiniti. He said the only way to open this door is to take a let bar and destroy the inside of the door in order to break the latch. This will break the window as possibly damage the internal frame structure. There is also no guarantee of the fix nor could he estimate the cost of getting the door to even open.
I have my car wash that day, and when i was cleaning inside a notice something sticky on my dashboard. ..and it is melting down front of my eye's and i don't know what to do ...i am afraid to call the company because i have no more guarantee in the car...

This item is called the rear cross member that attach's the rear shocks, drive axle and brakes.the sway bar on the driver side has already dislodged from the vehicle therefore when you apply the brakes, the rear axle seems to be shifting because the sway bar is used to supply a stationary support to the rear drive shaft. I discovered this when braking i noticed that the vehicle dived to the right as if the rear axle had shifted. This vehicle is not safe to drive now.
I was driving my car on the expressway today and my sunroof exploded. I did not experience any falling debris or other issue that would cause this to happen -the roof simply exploded. Glass went everywhere. The sound of the explosion sounded like a gunshot and i immediately pulled to the side of the highway to determine what had occurred. There was no visible damage to tires or the body so i slowly began driving on the shoulder to reach a exit near by. As i began moving i could hear the infiltration of air overhead and opened the inside door panel of the sunroof, the entire window was missing and the frame for the sunroof was mangled. The highway is 65 mph and at that rate of speed, an unexpected explosion on the car could have led to a significant accident. Furthermore, anyone in the back would have at a minimum been covered with glass. I have contacted my insurance company and am in the process of having my car towed to a facility to have it repaired. I will be able to provide photos and insurance evidence of the event if needed.
Dashboard very shiny, sticky to touch, feels like its melting, in other words like a chewed up gum.
Cracking dashboard in multiple areas: around entertainment center, around each air vent, where knee touches dash (near steering wheel).and now i'm feeling the driver's side arm rest begin to crumble.i believe there is an inferior product behind the fancy dash material and it is now crumbling. Vehicle is parked at home in garage or in shade.
The car stalls. The power steering no longer works when the car stalls. I have been in traffic, multiple times, when the car stalled. It creates an unsafe situation because the traffic behind me has to apply the brakes or swerve around me. Long ago took the car to infiniti and they did a $300+ 3 point fuel injection clean, etc. They could not duplicate the problem and there was no code, so they said they couldn't help but the 3 point service might resolve the problem. They also told me i needed some updates, 3 i thing at $165 each!? when i asked if that would resolve the problem, they couldn't say. I see this issue on infiniti forums but no recall. This problem does not produce a code and no warning signs/lights. I really like the car but these issues don't make it fun or safe to drive. I'm hopeful to get this problem resolved. Thank you.
The contact owns a 2009 infiniti fx35. The contact stated that as she depressed the brakes, approaching a traffic stop, the engine exhibited an abnormal increase in rpms. The contact had to abruptly apply the brakes and down shift in order to correct the failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who inspected the vehicle and could not duplicate the failure. The manufacturer was notified and an investigator was sent to further inspect the vehicle.the investigator was unable to locate a failure within the vehicle. The vin was unknown. The failure mileage was 30,000.
My infiniti fx 35 was parked on a summer day and i took the sun shades out of the window (the ones that keep the car cool) and the rear view mirror forked off and cracked the window and tiny shards of glass went everywhere.
Hi. My car has a sticky smelly dashboard. I contacted infiniti but i was told that my car is not under warranty. It smells like burnt rubber and it hard to see threw the windshield. How can i get this fixed?
