Problem appears closer to recent recall of hundai sonata cars w/ steering wheel bags.while traveling down busy 4-lane highway, sensor light came on associated with seat and airbags.roswell infiniti , roswell, ga had to completely tear apart steering wheel column, work on airbags, sensors, and other items.i had just purchased vehicle from another dealer, but has only a little over 105,000 miles.did not expect almost $4,000 in repairs due to this problem.i think it is a problem associated with other japanese models and should have a recall.please investigate as soon as possible.when light came on i was very scared because i wasn't sure whether i should keep driving and i was over 25 miles from dealership by that time.brought it in next day but took over 3 days to repair due to parts, etc.
I took my car in on oct 5th for the takata airbag recall. Soon after the infiniti technician completed the work my airbag light came on. I contacted infiniti and took my car back and they will not repair my car. They are charging me $2388 to repair it because they said the two airbags are not connected. I explained that the airbag light had never been on until the technician did the work and now infiniti is refusing totake responsibility for their actions.
Takatarecallis there a reasonable time frame for service that the manufacturer must adhere to?
I have received the notice of the march 2016 recall, notice on 10/3/2016.i have contacted the 800 ~ on the letter and also my closest infinity dealership.both have said they do not have air bags at this time.two people in my area of houston, tx have died recently due to their air bags exploding and sharp pieces it them on the head, neck & upper body.i use this car everyday and want it fixed now!! traffic in houston is dangerous and i do not want to die because infinity will not replace my airbags.i am sure the dealership has air bags.they repair cars damaged in wrecks everyday and replace their air bags.i think this is terrible that people are dying and infinity does nothing.hopefully you can help me.also when i called the dealership, they transferred me to a salesperson.he tried to talk me into trading in this car.i am retired and the car is just about paid for and i hope to keep it for many years to come.help!!!
Takata airbag issue. My 2008 infiniti fx35 was recalled due to the takata recall passanger side airbag. After it was repaired by an infiniti dealership my airbag light came on the dash within the first day. Dealership now claims the drivers airbag all of the sudden needs to be replaced at a cost of $1900. Recall replacement is causing this, no way it is "all of the sudden" needing tom be replaced.
I responded to a request to bring my car into a dealership for recall correction related to the airbags. Since then, the airbag light indicator stays on perpetually. I keep receiving notices of "urgent airbag safety recall" from "infiniti recall resolution team" atmt rcd 3/4/2020. I am afraid to go to the particular dealership because my car is never right after leaving. Note: i have 2 colleagues that have the same sentiment about the dealership.it is located in bethesda, maryland. - again, the indicator light never goes off, even though they claim to have fixed the issue.
Not sure if related to takata airbag, but the passenger airbag sensor went out and only certain vins were recalled. When i started my car, the airbag sensor light illuminated and remained illuminated. When i spoke to the service guy, he said as long as it's not flashing, you can drive it. So i turned car on again to go to work, and the airbag sensor light began to flash. Service guy said bring it in, it's more urgent now. They ran the computer scan and noted the passenger airbag sensor has failed. Close to $5000 to replace entire seat with sensor. He said it's okay to drive you just don't have passenger airbag protection. I'm very concerned and disappointed that only some vins with the same issue has been recalled at this time.
Airbag light as well as tire light will not go out

Takata recall...recall number 16v-349still awaiting replacement parts since the first notice arrived in the mail last summer and have been told by the dealership that they have no idea when the parts will be available and refuse to offer a loaner. This car needs to be used for work with occupants sitting in the front seat.

Takata airbags! many months ago i contacted infiniti in sacramento to schedulehaving new airbags be installed! i was put on a "list" have not heard and i am still waiting.
In feb 2016 when i saw the recall on the news for airbags, i called to see if the infiniti fx35 2008 was recalled. I was told no recall the truck is fine. Now in july 2016 i receive a letter for a passenger airbag recall. Do you know if the driver airbag is being investigated? i'm curious to know, because my mom was killed in an auto accident, while she was driving the truck in dec. 2015. She had injury to her face, neck and more. What makes the passenger airbag inflate? is it normal for the driver seat to come off the track? thank you for you attention to this matter.updated 12/04/17
Takata recall driver clock spring and air bag should be replaced.

The speedometer on my 2008 infiniti fx35 is off by 5mph upwards.
I think that my odometer may have been tampered with.
I purchased an infiniti fx35 from a local dealer, at the time of purchase, i noted some condensation in the driver's side headlight, which i quickly pointed out to the dealer. I also purchased an extended warranty on this vehicle. They instructed me to call my salesman to schedule an appointment for repair. He was always conveniently unavailable. I could never get an appointment for 45 days, at which time they would not repair the vehicle. The condensation is so bad that you cannot see the light or roadway ahead of you.i cannot drive this vehicle at night. They have refused to do anything about this. Meanwhile they have placed a state inspection sticker on this vehicle. Other inspection stations have told me that they could not pass this vehicle because of this condition. This is in total violation of state and federal safety laws and local inspection criteria. I am responsible for an elderly parent and cannot take her to any doctor or hospital either when it is dark or overcast. The dealer keeps repeating 30 days. In addition the vehicle has since developed a further electrical problem with the passenger side headlight leaving me with no night time illumination, rendering the vehicle unusable at night. No high or low beam on one side and a dispersed and diffused light on the left.
My car dashboard had recall only for short time and now the defect is showing up badly. Pulse can you check and make one time exception.

Right rear brake caliper seized causing the liquid to spew all over the wheel causing it to smoke and burning smell; the vehicle also rumbled and vibrated while in motion like it had a bad flat tire..also, tire sensor on the same wheel had gone bad.the light on the dash flashes when the car started and stays on the whole time.in dash tire pressure gauge shows "**" rather than the actual pressure amount.

The contact owns a 2008 infiniti fx35. The contact stated that the dashboard melted. The dealer and manufacturer were not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 157,000.
Melting dashboard makes reflection on the front windshield
The infiniti's first generation fx35 are know to have melting dash because infiniti used inferior materials. Its melting and poses a safety hazard while driving. Infiniti, nissan has acknowledged there was a problem, but did not do a proper recall such as toyota for their same issue with their melting dashes.
Visibility challenged as a result of dashboard bubbling.i just saw that someone else filed a similar complaint.
The dashboard of the vechile is melting and is starting to do so at a rapid pace.
I'm one of many experiencing the bubbling/sticky dashboard problem that has become sononomous w/ infiniti/nissan autos from 04-2010. The sticky/bubbling area has become a safety hazard from glare & distraction that could result in injury/death to others. There was an 8 yr warranty extension from date of manufacturing but some of us purchased vehicle outside of that timeline & have been turned away by corporate during many attempts @ getting resolution. The part itself is very expensive along w/ labor. There have been numerous times where the bubbling/stickiness has caused a distraction & i'm asking that infiniti/nissan do the right thing & include an unlimited recall to fix this issue that has become a major concern.
The dashboard on my car became sticky several years ago.it became increasingly worse this summer such that it causes a glare on the windshield impairing visibility.i began researching and discovered that infiniti extended the warranty on the dash for this problem for 8 years, but i was not made aware since i was not the original owner. It has only recently become a safety hazard for me with the glare. It seems this is a known problem with infiniti and owners like me who were not made aware of the 8 year warranty extension or who have had issues after warranty are faced with a hazardous condition.although i am not the original owner, i purchased my car in 2009 from an infiniti dealer well under the 60k drive train warranty and i received other warranty and recall related information so i am not sure why infiniti would only extend this warranty to original owners (what i was told by infiniti customer care in a phone call) and leaving those who purchased used with a safety hazard.
Entire dashboard bubbled/blistered all in one day. Contacted infiniti and was told this problem was not covered. - the problem is the reflection from the blistering.
