Fx35 2007 infiniti air bag light came on without an accident or any incident occurring on 3 november 2011. Vehicle was parked for about and hour with no incident occurring during that time. Vehicle had approximately 73,350 miles when air bag light came on. Took vehicle to inifiniti service location in alexandria, va and was told that code 1054 appeared and the driver side airbag, spiral cable and diagnostic control unit needed to be replaced and that it would cost $2202.50 to replace the items. He stated it was not a recall on this problem but from what they have seen in the past when it had occurred the only thing to fix the problem would be to replace the items mentioned above. They reset the airbag light as a 1st step but stated that if it came back i would have to replace the items because it is a safety issue. It could prevent the airbag from deploying if needed. The light came back on the same day that i picked up my vehicle, 18 november 2011. I researched and found several complaints online about this problem. It should a recall due to the safety issue and the manufacturer should be liable for this safety concern.

I've called infiniti and another number on a letter i keep getting 877-481-0083 many, many times and told them i have not owned this car for over 15-years and for them to take my name off the list. No luck and they are wasting time and money and not finding the real owner!!!

The contact owns a 2007 infinity fx35. The contact stated that while driving approximately 55 mph in inclement weather, the vehicle lost control and crashed into a rail. The entire dash of my vehicle is covered with bubbles because of an inferior product in production. These become worse every summer because of the heat and the dash becomes a gooey mess. How can i be sure that the airbag will deploy or deploy correctly when this mess is all over it? i was never made aware of any recall, but when contacting the company was told it was past deadline and they would do nothing. I want to be sure that if the airbag is needed, that it will work correctly.

My 2007 infiniti fx35with only approx 46,500 miles had severe electronic malfunction caused by ignition coil failure causing my car to lose power on the freeway, then eventually seize up the engine to a complete stop.

I was driving down i20 during afternoon atlanta traffic when all of the sudden the car started riding like a truck and then lost all power. The check engine and vdc lights came on then the car completely shut down on the interstate. I had to navigate 3 lanes of traffic with no power to pull off on the shoulder. The auto repair shop said that the car is badly misfiring on 3 cylinders and in order to fully investigate, the electrical grounds need to be replaced and maybe some other electrical components. This is a five year old, well maintained car, with only 90k miles. I wouldn't expect to have major electrical problems that result in having to navigate rush hour traffic with no power.

I purchased vehicle less than 90 days i traded in cadillac esv certified vehicle could not at the time afford warranty was told had 90 days. Vehicle one day smoke came from hood would not go faster than 20mph and smelled like gas and electrical burning. Towed to bob moore infinity in oklahoma city was told ground wire plastic melted and burned up 6 coils and ruined 2 catalytic converters totaling $4500 in damage was told then no service records on car and this is common issue but not fixed before it sold to me. I could not afford to fix so they offered to buy back car i agreed they gave me $12000 but this car was appraised at by bob moore $20200 i fell that they shorted me $3700 asked about this was told final offer had no choice to take but wanting this company reported because this is not the first time they have done this had spoke to a few but they did not report. I am very frustratedabout this and no one will listen nor help me. Just want fair offer. And this issue over with.

My 2007 infinity fx-35 steering wheel is stuck in the locked position. Many attempts to get it to unlock has failed. Therefore, i had it towed to the infinity dealership in montgomery, alabama for repairs. I disagree with having to pay over $400 to have what appears to be a factory defect with the ignition switch and steering wheel locking systems. It is my understanding that this is an on-going problem with other infinity fx-35 owners.

I was driving and the car began to lose power and seemed to idle rough and the service engine light turned on.when i was able to pull over the car was on fire near the catalytic converter. The dealership said they had to replace the electrical coil and wiring before hey could determine any further damage. My vehicle is the awd 2007 fx35 with only 69750 miles.

The speedometer and odometer in my 2007 infiniti fx35 do not tell speed and mileage correctly.the speedometer error is a function of the vehicle's speed.in other words, the faster you are driving the larger the error.at 75 mph the speedometer reads about 82 mph.

The "vdc off" "slip" error light comes on as soon as steering column is moved, thus traction control is shut off for use in slippery conditions.the vehicle get squirrelly on wet pavement.if i raise the steering column all the way up and in, it is ok.once you try to adjust the steering column the error light comes on.we drove the vehicle for the next 5,000 miles (9 months) without adjusting the wheel, ie. Turned off memory self-adjusting feature.it is obvious that there is a loose or broken wire in the steering column from all the automatic moving up and out of the way when car is shut off and back on again.then about the same time, the seat quit retracting every time.it still does automatically retract and moves forward from time to time, but not often anymore.now 5,000 miles later, after trying to adjust wheel, the "vdc off, slip" light stay on always.it won't go out no matter what position the steering column is in.also, the supplemental restraint light is now always flashing. This means that in an accident the air bags or seat belt tensioners will not work.

Changed 1 engine coil and all 6 plugs, ran good for 2 days. Then started running rough, hesitates and cuts off. Then changed all 6 coils, ran good 2 days then started with the same problems. Internet research says possible ecm, ipdm or ecu relay causing the coils to over heat and burn up. No recalls on 2007 fx35 but other models have exact same problems. Infiniti should step up and recall the 2007 fx35 model as well.

I was driving on a highway at 55mph and started to brake to make a right hand turn and the engine died. This happened twice in two days. The check engine light along with the slip and vdc light came on. This turns out to be a common problem with nissan and they recalled some cars for it. It's either the camshaft or crankshaft position sensor. This is a very serious situation. Im just glad i wasn't driving on the interstate when this happened. Should be a fix or recall on all cars affected by this.

Vehicle was driving at 55-60mph, immediately lost all power and rough engine shake on the highway. Managed to pull off to the side. Opened the hood to find the catalytic converters both smoking and glowing red from excess fuel being dumped into them due to a very common and well known bad grounding issue. Worried they would cause a fire i evacuated my family and call a tow truck. After having the car examined the fx35 has destroyed all 6 ignition coils which was causing gas to be dumped into the catalytic converters. It also destroyed both catalytic converters and possibly the computer, the car is still being looked at. Had we not stopped i fear the car would have started a fire from the excess fuel and burning/melting of the catalytic converters. Not to mention is was very dangerous to have the car lose all power on the highway. This is a very commonly known problem and very unacceptable to have an issue known like this not be fixed by a simple grounding wire issue.

Vehicle dashboard is melting defective.radiator fan assemblyarm rest top compartment.

Front driver's side door lock jammed -- door unable to open or unlock. Driver had to climb in and out of car from passenger side. This is a huge safety hazard especially with small child in back seat. Defective door lock randomly occurred--no damage to door. Car in great condition and still under warranty by date.we took car to infiniti dealer for repair. They had to break the door lock mechanism to replace it which cost $760.

The car will not stay in gear during reverse. It seems like it will pop out of gear and engine just keep revving. Have to put in drive and put back into reverse continuously to get reverse.this car is not safe to drive and can produce a car accident.

Transmission goes out it was repaired and one year later the transmission went out again

Driver seat detached from floor causing great risk to operator, passengers and other vehicles or pedestrians.seat frame broke previously and was reported to jackie cooper infiniti.they requested i report it to corporate infiniti which i did but any relief was denied.the broken frame was a cause for concern but last evening the seat became loose to the point where the rear can be lifted now from the floor.

Dashboard is melting.concerned about dangerous chemicals.the dashboard is a known problem to infiniti and warranty was extended without our knowledge or notification but has expired.i think a formal recall is warranted for safety from fumes of melted plastic

Infiniti fx35 2007. Dash bubbling.vehicle with less than 40,000 miles and kept garaged.complaint sent to dealership and infiniti without response. *ln

Bubbling dashboard

I have had my car for 4 years now and it was garage kept with one previous owner so i'm told. Since i've had the car i have not been able to provide a covering for the vehicle. For the four years i have had the dash feel like it's melting. It's stuck to anything i've put or laid on it and causes cracks and run lines where the cracking has taken place. During cold months it shrinks and during the summer months expans and started feeling sticky and melting. Has made some buttons stick that are close the the dash before so having an inconvenient of being stuck on shuffle for music is a thing thru the summer. Over time is getting worse and i can't use anything to clean the sticky stuff because i'm afraid to make it worse. Will send images when someone contacts me about the problem thru email. Thank you for taking the time to read this. We go to the nilly dealership in atlanta ga. They are really great.

Infiniti has a recall for the speedometer and odometer. The speedometer reads 3 to 5 miles per/hr more than what the suv is really going. The odometer reads 3% to 4% more miles driven than it should be. I brought the suv in for the recall. The speedometer and odometer were corrected. But now the cruse control is reading 3 miles per/hr faster than what the speedometer is registering. Infiniti told me this was in range. This is crap!

Melting dash-causing extreme glare. Had bubbled dash replaced 2011. Now it's melting when warm, after 7 years. Infiniti denies that there is any other issues. Simply, not true.
