I'm having problems with theair bag in the drivers side , it happen after to i stop to put gasoline
The contact owns a 2005 infiniti fx35. While driving 20 mph and approximately 200 feet from the driveway, the driver and passenger side air bags deployed without warning. The vehicle crashed into a utility pole. The contact sustained head and upper body injuries that required medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle restarted and was towed to an independent facility. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 135,000.
The contact owns a 2005 infiniti fx35. The contact stated that while driving approximately 50 mph, the air bag warning indicator began to illuminate continuously. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer, who stated that the front driver's side air bag module would need to be replaced. The contact was uncertain of the type of repair performed on the vehicle. One year later, the failure recurred. The vehicle had not been repaired for the most recent failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 110,606.
I have not experienced any problems with the airbag and my vin has not been specifically identified for the takata recall.that though is the issue.in view of the inifinti recall of similar model cars in high humidity states, and nhtsa's call for a full recall of the takata airbags, as well as toyota, gm & honda's recent expansion of the recall,i do not understand why infiniti has not taken similar additional action.i live in virginia - an area of high humidity for at least 3 months per year.a recent death occurred to a virginia resident related to the airbags.i drive to florida several times a year spending as many as 4-6 weeks there annually.it seems quite reckless for the company not to be acting on this recall.as it stands i have been reluctant to drive the vehicle for my safety and that of my passengers, especially since toyota is advising consumers to have the airbag disabled and post warning not to sit in the passenger side.while i could do a similar thing until infiniti wakes up and acts, i cannot see why i should have to absorb the cost for it.please help if you can.i appreciate the opportunity to vent regarding this issue. Car was involved in a partial head on collision ( 20 mph), drivers side airbag and seatbelt didn't deploy, passenger side did. There was not a passenger in the car. Deal will not fix free of charge, even though there is a recall effecting part of this system.
Takata recall.i received a notice from infinity about recall 16v-349 in august or september of 2016. I called my local dealer and they said they were expecting the new airbags by the end of the month so i set an appointment, because they did not receive the air bags i have made new appointments each month since september through january of this year but they still don't have the parts. They called other dealers but they only had parts for 2007 and later, not 2005.it appears that my local dealer has made every effort, and it's the corporate office of infinity that doesn't send the dealer the parts to complete the recall. Can you help my dealer get the parts needed to complete the recall?
The airbag was recalled on may 23, 2016 due to the takata defective airbags. Till today infiniti has failed to provide a replacement for the defective airbag citing no available parts. Their advice is only not to sit in the seat where the defective airbag is present which is not an acceptable solution. I am not sure how much longer i need to wait or if they are just playing the waiting game for my car to be retired before they need to do work on it.
Car was in a small low speed front end impact. Passenger air bag and seat belt deployed, although no passengers in car. Drivers side air bag and seat belt did not.clearly there is a problem with the drivers side air bag seat belt and detonator. I now have a car with a deployed passenger side airbag and seat belt. Also acar that the drivers side air bag will not deploy if in another accident.*dsy.
The contact owns a 2005 infiniti fx35. While driving approximately 55 mph, the contact attempted to make a turn and all the air bags deployed except for the frontal side air bag. There were no warning indicators or an impact. The contact called the insurance company and the police and remained in the vehicle until the police arrived and instructed her to move to the side of the road. The contact sustained minor cuts and burns that did not require medical attention. The insurance company arrived, but referred the contact to the manufacturer who stated that the failure was due to a manufacturer defect. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, but referred the contact to the insurance company. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 143,000.updated 05/25/16*ljaccording to nissan, a technical specialist conducted a detailed inspection of the vehicle and found no evidence of a product problem, failure, or malfunction that may have caused or contributed to the incident. Updated 06/06/16.
The air bag warning light came on. Took the vehicle to the dealer and was told the driver's side air bag control module had failed and it would be $900 to replace it. My husband's volkswagen gli was recalled for the exact same problem, and was fixed for free. Why not the infinity? was told none of the air bags would work without replacing the driver's side module. Still driving without air bags...

Safety recall 16v-349: the front passenger airbag could rupture unexpectedly, "causing injury or death." my infiniti retailer has failed to resolve this issue, and told me on my most recent call that it was the airbag manufacturer's issue, and i should contact them. Instead, i am contacting you.

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2005 infiniti fx35. The contact stated that the air bag warning light illuminated for longer than a month. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified. The failure mileage was not available.
Takata recall. I received a notification that my passenger side airbag was recalled and infiniti should be able to make repairs by the end of april 2017. To date, i have not received notification that the repair is ready to be made.
The contact owns a 2005 infiniti fx35. The contact stated that the air bag warning indicator illuminated. The contact called infiniti of williamsville at (716) 633-9585 (located at 8137 main st, williamsville, ny 14221) where it was confirmed that there were no recalls associated with the vin. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The approximate failure mileage was 115,000.
Nhtsa recall number:16v-349 recall date: may 23, 2016 manufacturer recall number:r1618summary:continued exposure to areas with high levels of absolute humidity may cause the front passenger air bag inflator housing to rupture and deploy abnormally. Safety risk:if the passenger air bag inflator ruptures, it may result in metal fragments striking the vehicle occupants causing serious injury or death. I am still waiting to complete this recall but there are still no parts - 10 weeks into the recall process.
The air bag warning light came on during may 2016 after istopped for gas. The dealer replaced the passenger air bag inflator during 2014 (no charge under a manufacturer recall) but indicated i have to pay 715.00 to repair the air bag sensor. I have read about the takata air bag problems and am very concerned about my family and my safety but this is not a movable part and i think this should be a mfg recall.
Some time ago, the power locks stopped locking or unlocking. When it gets hot and the vehicle is in the sun for some time, the doors do not want to open. Some times it could be all the doors or just some. We had to climb over the back seats to unlock the doors because the lift gate is the only one that got unlocked. Some times we need to wait for a while pressing the remote hoping to get lucky and one door will unlock. Not even the key works to open the driver side door. It has got to the point that now we need to leave one door unlocked so that we can enter the car and hope that the alarm will deter any body other than ustrying to get in. This has become a serious security problem.searching the internet, they saythat the door actuators are the culprits to this issue, but there is many nissan/infinity owners having the same problem. All of the actuators going at the same time? hmmmm and atabout $400 a pop per door? double hmmmm!!!i just hope that nissan/infinity, do the right thing and find out the real solution to this problem. Other wise, the will be loosing a lot of costumers. Thanks..
The contact owns a 2005 infiniti fx35. While driving, the vehicle would not properly accelerate and the rpms and speedometer increased although the accelerator pedal was not pressed. During the failure, the vds and slip warning sensors displayed. The cause of the failure was not determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure.the failure mileage was 161,000.
How many letters and complaints across north america must there be before a recall on defective door lock actuators becomes a reality? at first the locks only failed on very warm / hot days and mostly just the front passenger side and the problem spread to the drivers door the one of the back doors and to the other back door. Infiniti !!! listen up !!! you made a bad door lock actuator design and it is way past time to admit it and start replacing tens and tens of thousands of nice folks door locks. Just google it for a few and will find out what we are talking about. I am glad i don't have kids in the back seat. I cannot open the car door for my date. I have to hold the remote button until the windows roll down so i can reach inside and unlock my doors. I have to lock them all by handthen set the alarm. I have owned six infiniti's. I will not own a 7th if you don't fix my locks on your dime.
Please see the attached file.
Started in 2008 for first time, but was intermittent. By summer of 2011 none of the doors/rear hatch unlock or lock automatically. Neither using the fob clicker, or pressing any of the interior lock/unlock buttons activates the locks. Since there is only one key hole, for entire vehicle, on driver's side, i am unable to access rear hatch area, and this is where i keep my dog as well as caged pet birds when transporting. To unlock hatch, i have to use key to unlock driver's side door, then reach my arm back to the rear passenger door and unlock manually. Then i can enter through rear passenger door (driver's side) and crawl over seats to climb into rear hatch area where i can finally take off protective cover for manual hatch release. I then have to exit vehicle through rear hatch to keep it from shutting closed due it's motorized closing system. I also transport children, and i am extremely worried about something going wrong if the driver's side door fails, or key breaks. Only way to enter vehicle is to smash through windows. Dealership and manufacture claim this is not their problem even though this issue is extremely common for the infiniti fx35.
The door lock actuators are failing in a "lazy" manner in my 2005 inifiniti fx35.it started with the passenger side lock and now includes the rear hatch.when unlocking or locking the doors either with the fob or with the switch on the driver side door, these doors intermittently will not lock or unlock. The frequency at which it does not work is increasing with time.the danger is that i have to manually check if the door are locked.even when they are locking i can never be sure if they are locked because i never know when they will stop working again.this is a common problem described on nissan and infiniti forums, which indicates a design issue either in the electrical system or the actuator itself.the cost of replacing all actuators is around $2000, which many owners have had to do.
The contact owns a 2005 infiniti fx35. The contact stated that the door latch on the rear driver's side door ceased and was unable to be opened from inside or outside the vehicle. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic and was informed that there was a design flaw on the door which caused the defect. The contact had taken the vehicle infiniti of memphis (3060 n germantown pkwy, bartlett, tn 38133) where he was informed that there were no recalls on the vehicle regarding the failure. The contact also mentioned that the fuel gauge was inoperable. The manufacturer had not been notified of the failure. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 200,000.
The fuel cover locking/unlocking system does not work. This has also happened on a 2003 nissan murano i owned.
The contact owns a 2005 infiniti fx35. While traveling approximately 60 mph, the slip warning lamp and the voc warning lamp flashed randomly. The failure progressed in inclement weather and when the accelerator pedal was depressed. The vehicle was not responding. The contact had to maneuver the vehicle off the road each time the failure recurred. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The vehicle was also included in nhtsa campaign number: 14v701000 (air bags). The contact had been waiting for the dealer to supply the part for months. The contact was unable to determine when the recall repair appointment would be scheduled.the vin was not available. The failure mileage was not available.
I own a 2005 infiniti fx35. Within this last year, i have had problem with all 4 locking mechanisms including the rear hatch of my vehicle. This first began with the rt rear passenger side and has now affected the remainder of the door locks. The failure is that when the door lock button fails to either lock andor unlock any of the doors. This is a constant problem. When the door lock button is depressed there is a locking sound heard, but the action doesn't take place. When disarming the alarm with the key fob, and entering my vehicle i find it does not open my driver door. I must use the key to unlock the door. When manually attempting to lock the vehicle from the interior the door actuators fail to lock, thus i must manually lock each door. Currently there is no recall by infiniti for this type of problem. It will cost upward of 1,000 to fix. This has not been the only problem. 1 month ago, the warning light on the airbag restraint system turned on and has been flashing. I do not know if this i will affect the deployment of the airbags in case of an accident.researching and speaking to mechanics, the faulty part may be the body control module. As this part controls the signals sent to all door lock actuators as well as the airbag restraint system. My vehicle being out of warranty, infiniti will not fix this issue and instead intends to charge for repairs. This should not be charged by them and should be stated as a recall item of the bcm, since it is unlikely that all four locks would fail at the same time. My biggest safety concern is for the airbag system, as i do not know if its useless in case of an accident. As for the locks failing, it is a great safety issue, as anyone could be a victim of a carjacking, and automatic locks are essential for personal safety.i live near the border and events like this are far too common. I would expect a basic item on a luxury vehicle to perform to its standards, as i would expect this company to honor repairs.
I own an infiniti fx 35, 2005.my front passenger door and hatch door locks have failed ( the actuators).i called my local dealership, expressed my concern as it is a safety issue, esp since there is no key hole entry for either the passenger side or the hatch door.they did not feel this is an issue that infiniti should be responsible for.i brought my car in to the local dealership to have examined, and fixed (because again, this is a safety issue)....they told me that all my locks are failing (actuators) and it will cost $1700.00 to fix.i can get this fixed by my local mechanic for a lot less, but i will have to buy after market products.however, i absolutely can not have all my locks fail on my car.my car only has one key access, the driver side.which i understand is for most cars that are newer, but i also understand that most cars locks do not fail.and all cars have a key hole in there hatch.this is a safety issue in every way, and infiniti absolutely should take responsibility.also, i have tried contacting a manger at infiniti usa with no luck.
Infinity fx35 with unreliable power door locks mainly in warm weather. This seems to be a wide spread problem and is a safety concern.
All of my door locks don't work. I have short arms and can't unlock my doors. First it only did every now and the. Then one door stop working now all four door locks don't work.
I changed the camshaft sensor because it gave me an error code since my car was taking too long to turn over. Than the slip and vfc off light came on and my car would jerk and the brake light would come on and it would just stop completely. Than i changed a coil and the oil. Now the oil is completely empty within 2 weeks. And i'm constantly putting gas and it's like the gage doesn't work. Because sometimes it's completely full and the gage will read half tank. Now it's giving me another code and saying there is a misfire. If i turn the ac on the shaking is worse and it smells horrible.

My leased infiniti fx 35 has a design flaw admitted by my service manager that the condenser does not drain , thereby creating bacteria that creates an odor. The dealer has told me therewas nothing that couldexcept to spray air freshener in the system. I decided to get the air tested by an air quality company and my car tested positive forbacterial diseasemolds that were unhealthy. I have told the dealer and infiniti and no response. My doctor told me not to drive the car.
Vehicle began to exhibit white smoke on start up through exhaust.brought vehicle in for service, was informed that a cleaner and some parts were required but vehicle was ok to drive.upon waiting for parts, experienced more smoke and then engine noise.immediately stopped vehicle, checked oil and found oil level too low to continue.returned vehicle to dealer, waited and was informed that after 40k miles, vehicle required new engine.we have been waiting three weeks for infiniti to warranty the engine.they have requested service records, but will not make a determination to warranty the engine.
Condensation in the headlight assembly, probably leaks/cracks in the seals.
Condensation in the headlight assembly causing headlight to short out.
Consumer complaint regarding false advertisement. Consumer was told infinity gets 17 mpg and only gets 8 mpg.
I own a 2005 awd infiniti fx35.i was driving on the highway to work and i heard a loud noise indicating that the car was kicking up something underneath it.i did not see anything in the road but it became apparent later that i must have driven over some small debris in the road.i was close to the exit i take for work and i proceeded to drive off the highway.as i exited the highway i noticed that my car was leaking some liquid.the smell of the liquid appeared to be gasoline.i watched my gas gauge go from almost full to 3/4 full at a more rapid pace than normal.i brought the car immediately to the nearest infiniti dealer and when they put the car up on the lift they confirmed that there was a significant puncture in the gas tank on the driver side of the undercarriage of the vehicle.i have been told by infiniti that i need to have my gas tank replaced.i have done a bit of research and determined that earlier this year there had been an nhtsa campaign id number 06v003000 relating to the 2005 nissan murano fuel system, gasoline storage: tank assembly.the nissan murano is the equivalent nissan vehicle to the infiniti fx35.it appears to me that the campaign identified above describes the situation i encountered with my vehicle.i provided this information to the dealer who contacted infiniti and i am continuing to follow up with inifniti consumer affairs to attempt to have infiniti address this issue but i have had no luck so far.

The fuel cover locking/unlocking system does not work. This has also happened on a 2003 nissan murano i owned.
Inoperative fuel sensor ,indicates half a tank when it is full, it then slowly rises to full and then back down to empty, causing the low fuel light to come on. At times it indicates a full tank when it is not .i have contacted infiniti about this issue because i have ran out of fuel, this is a safety issue. I was told that the recalls are set according to the vin. At the moment there aren't any recalls for this vehicles fuel sensor, but there is a recall for the exact problem on the infiniti qx model.
The contact owns a 2005 infiniti fx35. The contact stated that the front passenger, driver side passenger and rear hatch door locks failed. The electronic lock would not unlock and the contact had to manually unlock them. The failure was intermittent. The vehicle had not been inspected by a dealer nor had it been repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.
Power door wont unlock or lock on passenger side. Dealer quoted $500 for parts/labor.

I have a 2005 infiniti fx35.the automatic door locks on all four doors have failed to function properly.i have contacted the dealer, and even the manufacturer, and neither offered to make things right.instead, they both said i was responsible to pay for the repairs for their obviously malfunctioning equipment.this simply is not equitable.
I have a 2005 infiniti fx 35.it only has 62,000 miles on it and every one of the door lock actuators have failed.i feel its a safety issue, because you cannot get in the vehicle from the outside except for the drivers side door with the key.the other doors do not have a key to gain access so you have to go through the inside of the vehicle to manually unlock it.each door has to be manually unlocked or unlocked from the inside.i had to replace each door actuator which range from $270 dollars to over $300 not including labor.it seems that there is some type of defect going on with these actuators for them all to go bad.infiniti's response was that it's fairly common with those models.
Automatic door locks will and will not sporadically open the door locks. My wife drives alone and enters her car in a dark undercover parkade for employment daily. When leaving it is a coin toss as to whether the door lock actuator will or will not unlock the door. Upon taking it to the local herrin gear dealership they gladly fixed the problem for $600.00 per door, i only did one first as i do not believe in throwing money in a pit and hoping that it will work.. After further investigation through speaking with other infiniti owners locally and looking at the different infiniti blog sites the number of people with the same problem is endless and probably will total the entire group of people who purchased a nissan murano or a high end car like me the infiniti fx35 full load package and you have repeat problems like this. This is a well known factory problem and nissan america/infiniti america needs to recall this product for a complete actuator replacement. I do not want to get the call from the police that my wife has been raped or beaten or purse stolen while trying to get the actuator to work. The design team took the keyhole away from the passenger side of the car and the actuator will not open either the front or back door, where does she run to??????this is serious she works in s a multilevel parkade and when she finishes work she often has to walk to her car and load up the passenger side with important documents and the door won't open. I just spent 600$ to have the r-f door done to see if that is the be-all fix all before i go out and spend another 1800$. This should be a safety recall with all of the 100's of complaints logged on the websites and all of the dealership complaints. I would have rather they spend the money to fix a safety hazard such as the locks rather than the dashboard that was just replaced or the 4 light systems front and rear.
Vehicle : 2005 infiniti fx 35 37,000 milesissues with the door locks on the vehicle. According to the dealership all 5 actuators have failed at one time and this has rendered the vehicle at times with no entry access> this poses a hazard in the event of emergency personnel needing access to remove occupants from vehicle. A lesser danger is the inability to insure doors are in the locked or open position. The quote for repair on this was $2800.00 this is an unaffordable amount.. The dealer refused to help, infiniti us customer service refused to help.

At 4:30 pm parked car at walmart, got out and tried to lock doors but they wouldn't lock. I locked driver door with key but wouldn't unlock with remote. All of the doors are acting like this. It's a shame that the u.s allows nissan vehicles in this country, but when hundreds of infiniti fx 35 owners complain about this problem they like toyota initially did, ignore this safety issue! is someone going to have to be pulled out their unlock car and raped or killed for nissan to recall these cars?
My door locks on my 2005 infiniti fx 35 work sporadically.it started with the left front door and is now affecting the right front and well as the rear hatch.it is hit or miss with the issue on the rear hatch, but for the front doors i must manually lock and unlock the doors.

The car will not stay in gear during reverse. It seems like it will pop out of gear and engine just keep revving. Have to put in drive and put back into reverse continuously to get reverse.

Car was involved in a partial head on collision ( 20 mph), drivers side airbag and seatbelt didn't deploy, passenger side did. There was not a passenger in the car. Deal will not fix free of charge, even though there is a recall effecting part of this system.
2005 fx 35 driver seat track failure - driver seat does not move on track. 1100.00 - 1400.00 to replace entire track.infinity only replaced the entire track - there is an option to replace the plastic gear head which is bad at a cost for part of 65.00. Infinity is not replacing the broken part forcing you to buy the entire track.the seat does not move causing back pain and improper position making the driving of the car dangerous with pedal and leg issue to use properly.
The dashboard has bubbled and is very hot to the touch. I have been trying for years to get this replaced. I want to start a class action suit. I see many cars with the same issue.
On monday, june 20 as i was driving up the ramp to go to the gw bridge, there was a lot of traffic and we were in a slow motion. I was pressing the brakes to avoid hitting the other car but my car kept on rolling and therefore it hit the bumper of the acura car in front of me.what i do not understand was the brakes were serviced 3 months before, but still it did not work and i was very sure that i was pressing the brakes and not the gas pedal but still it did not stop!

I have had consistent problems with infiniti. My brakes constantly make a squealing noise at slow speeds. I've spent about $2,000 to try to correct the problem with numerous visits to the dealer, only to be told that this "happens with all the fx models". I've contacted infiniti executive dept and they sent a technician to the dealership to take my braking system apart. I was told in the end that it was my driving habits and because i live near the beach, the salt water air interferes with the brakes. What!?!? infiniti did nothing to try to research when i said other owners have this same problem, they basically left me hanging. I will never purchase another nissan or infiniti. I've been trying to get my local news station involved to get some media coverage on this, i know i'm not the only owner with this problem. I would like other people to speak up to infiniti so they could possibly be overwhelmed with this issue and be forced to recall the vehicles until the problem is solved.
2005 fx 35- i was t-boned, proceeding to stop and had no brakes at all.car has been checked and found no damage to brakes/lines everything checked out fine.i could not stop the vehicle and went through an intersection. I finally stopped the vehicle by hitting the side of a tree. Prior to that i turned key off and placed into park, i couldn't take my eyes off road i was approaching another major intersection.i did not want to hit anyone or be hit again.i am concerned, i have 2 children and even after vehicle is fixed, will my brakes fail again. I did slam on my brakes after being hit, they went down to floor, i kept trying and trying....no brakes.i have read that some of the 2003 have had break failure.please help.
I made the mistake of buying a 2005 infiniti fx35 believing i was getting a luxury brand. Almost immediately, i started hearing this pig squealing noise from the brakes whenever i am backing up. I reported this to the dealer who told me to drive it around some more just for the brakes to "settle down". Well, it never got better! after more complaints, i had someone at the dealership tell me that this noise "was normal" for infinitis! unbelievable! over the past 3 years, i have reported this noise at every service i have taken the car in for. Infiniti (at their own expense) have replaced my pads and rotors once. I still have the noise. The dealer is now telling me that there is nothing else they can do for me as they have performed everything recommended by infiniti! my car still makes horrible noises every time i back up. To add to my woes, my brakes also make a horrible grinding noise going forward for about the first 5 minutes after getting into a cold car. Guess what? the dealership is again telling me that i am on the latest brake pads recommended by infiniti so once again, there is nothing they can do for me! this is ridiculous! from talking to mechanics and reps at the dealership, it is obvious that i am not the only one having these problems and infiniti does not seem to care about us! with several reports of poor dealership dealings, i am convinced that the "infiniti experience" is no better than what you can expect from buying a nissan! needless to say, i will not be buying any more infinitis in the future and would not recommend them to anyone!
I purchased a 2005 infiniti fx35, on october 2004 from miller infiniti in the city of van nuys, ca and ever since the brakes on this vehicle havebeen squeaking, 3 months after i bought this vehicle, i called miller infiniti (somebody in the service department) was aware of such issue for this vehicle, and he's only suggestion was "quote on quote" to drive the vehicle really fast in reverse than brake really fast - and that was supposedly the solution to the problem. I took his advice and still no results until this day my brakes are still squeaking, i called miller infiniti today and spoke to carl (service manager) his suggestion was to get on the freeway and on the way out of the exit brake really fast - supposely the solution to my problem. He mentioned that infiniti are high performance vehicles and this is normal. I abundantly disagree, i think that when you drive abrand new luxury vehicle like infiniti you should not have this type of problems and expect the customer to drive like a maniac just to have a normal driving experience (without the squeaking of brakes on a vehicle that has less than 10k miles) and brake like maniac in the middle of the street. I think there is something seriously wrong with the brakes of this vehicle. I told carl if he could check my vehicle, he said that if i were to bring the car in, he would tell me the same thing (basically, just send me back home). Suggested to additionally, suggestedto brake like such a maniac once a day, everyday... I mean, what kind of advice is this coming from a manager standpoint. If this problem does not get resolved, i will never again buy from infiniti. This is such a poorly made vechicle (poor engineering).i truly beleive this is a safety hazard and of all this models should be re-called. I think lexus and acura are looking pretty good right now.

Dashboard bubbling and melting, glare from sun dangerous.
The dashboard has extensive bubbling.the bubbling started about 4 years after purchasing, was told by dealership that nothing could be done about problem because car was out of warranty.then several years later when we took the car to the dealership they mentioned that an extended warranty had been issued.dilemma the car was now outside this period as well and we never received notice of extended warranty.tried to work with nissan/infiniti to no avail.noticed in paper an article dated 5/24/2014 that jury orders nissan to pay damages for faulty dashboard on infiniti's 2003-2008 model fx35.called nissan/infiniti about the dashboard again.still nothing. Please note that the dashboard bubbling problem is due to inferior glue.please note as incident date is required i picked a date not necessarily the first date we noticed the problem.
The contact owns a 2005 infiniti fx35. The contact stated that the dashboard melted in high temperatures over the course of a year. The contact stated that the area where the air bag was located was melted and the contact believed that the air bag would not deploy in the event of a crash. There is a recall not isted on this site to do with the melting/bubbling dashboard.there could be a health hazard with the adhesive and infiniti closed the recall and it is not for the life of the vehicle
I opened the sunroof while driving about 60-70 mph on the highway and the glass of the sunroof completely flew off the car and went up in the air about 30-40 feet.the break or separation of the glass from the roof was clean so there was no damage to the sunroof mount/bracket which still operates like it should without the glass.this is vary dangerous as it could kill someone driving behind me.my insurance company said that the sunroof glass should not break apart from the mount of any vehicle, that i should contact the manufacture.i called infiniti consumer affairs and they do not want to do anything for me.
Ok this complaint is about the melting dashboard on mi vehicle is not only dangerous to drive when the sun is in front of you because of the glare but cosmetically looks disgusting, every time someone gets in my car asks me if my car has some kind of deceased or they even mention chickenpox as a joke. I contacted infiniti about the issue end they told me that i just missed the recall and they couldn't do anything about it. Well the problem is still there and is a factory defect that not only me but thousands has the same problem. I ask you for your help to see if this problemcould be resolved. I heard that mazda has recall all their defective dashboard and i think that every other company such as luxury infiniti should stand behind their product. I am a family man with two kids 12 and 7 and i would hate to think that something can happened while driving with this dashboard that maximizes the glare due to its condition. I took a few pictures to show you the glare and the defect.also this happened in new york where i reside and every summer it gets worst and worst.

Door locks do not open or close by using the remote controls.
The dashboard of my 2005 fx35 suv melted from the radiation internally. Was there a recall that i had missed?
Rear passenger door lock actuator problem. We had been having issues with the door not being able to open. There were times that we had our 7 months old daughter on that side and we couldn't open the door. We can hear it clicks but not opening. This is a safety hazard especially if all doors can't be open because of the faulty actuators!
I noticed the locks on both back seat doors, passenger front seat and back doorwere not locking/unlocking using the remote. The only way to lock and unlock all doors (excluding the driver's side door) is manually. Intermittently, the rear gate does not unlock.apparently this is a common problem with that make, model and model year.is the dealer responsible for this repair since it's under 500 miles and it started happening after purchase, if not before.
Please see the attached file.
I currently own an 2005 infiniti fx35. On july 22, 2015 i was leaving the red light my vehicle was hesitate about pulling off. I almost got reared ended. I saw that my a/t (auto transmission) light was on. I found the nearest part stores. They said it was the valve body in the transmission. They next day i took it to the transmission shop. The cost was estimated at $3500. My car only has about 131000. I maintain service on my vehicle. I have done research online and there are numerous of infiniti owners that's having the same problem. The forum is overflowing with this same problem.i know my car is 10 years old but this seems to a recurring problem for the fx35 no matter the year. Infiniti cars are expensive to be made so cheaply. A person could be very easily rear ended due to the car starting off in high gear. This issue need to be bought to someone attention. I think the problem is being overlooked. What more can an owner do the timeline is flooded with complaints. Auto transmission should definitely be added to the recall list. They need to be held responsible. Feeling rip off.

1. Having a secure environment is paramount in certain neighborhoods. When locking the doors it's imperative nobody can gain access at will by walking up to the car. If anyone can simply open the door to gain access, carjacking, injury, or even murder is easier. If the doors locked properly this provides a more secure environment for this type of scenario. 2. Nissan knowing there is a security problem with their locking mechanism and not recalling them for safety concern is negligent. It's an open door to a lawsuit if someone were to be murdered due to a door that didn't lock, although the driver pushed the lock button and heard the locking noise. Remember, in this case there's no obvious indication the door isn't locked unless someone walks up and opens it from the outside. The drive "thinks" the door is locked, when in reality it's an "open door" for carjacking or robbery.this failure is an intermitance of operation. Sometimes the doors lock ok, other times they don't. In addition, sometimes the doors unlock ok, other times they don't. 3. In emergencies it's important to be able to unlock doors quickly. Since 99% of the time we all use the button to lock and unlock doors, using the manual locking lever is unfamiliar. In emergencies every second counts. The locking/unlocking solenoid malfunctioning is clearly a high risk in emergency scenarios. Some people who cannot afford the $1600 to have all the solenoids replaced (as quoted by dealers) will forgo getting them fixed, putting their family members at risk with the above mishap examples. This shouldn't be, nissan should recall them.it's only a matter of time till someone gets robbed, hurt or killed from a malfunctioning door lock.

Takata recallmy dashboard has bubbled and it is very hot when you touch it.i called them (infinity )they told me they can not do any thing for me .i need your help i want my car to get fixed.
The underneath of the car is completely rusted. Specifically the exhaust system and all of the underneath cover. There was a recall on or about 2009, it was supposedly replaced but the underneath is complete rotted. Pieces have become loose and fallen off.
My dashboard started to bubble 2 summers ago and i immediately contacted infinity.they told me that the company sent me a notice that this was an issue in specific models and would replace the dashboard.i did not receive any notice and when i called in 2014 the time allowed had expired. Infinity would not replace my dashboard.now the dashboard is completely covered with bumps from faulty materials (glue, leather, etc.).the value of my vehicle is at least $1000-1500 less due to this flaw. I would like to file a complaint against infinity for using inferior materials and not standing by their product.
I am a cautious driver, not a rabbit start-and-stop kind of driver. I accelerate slowly and decelerate slowly, and hardly ever revved up my engine. I have been driving since 1963, and was never involved in any serious accident, i.e causing injury to myself or others.i took delivery of the 2005 infiniti fx 35, vin: jnras08w95x 205810 on dec. 21, 2004. Since then, i have had a major problem with my 2005 infiniti fx 35 twice, that was unexplainable sudden acceleration, without my foot touching the gas pedal, once when the vehicle was still new (under 1000 miles), and once at 21,384 miles, on may 28, 2005. I was with my wife (only passenger) both times when this happened. Fortunately, both times, the car was at very low speed (about 10 mph), and without any car in front or behind us. It was a terrifying experience to try to keep the car under control, so in both times, i had to (1) put on the brake to control the car from surging ahead.(2) put the car into neutral, with the engine still revving.(3) shut off the engine.(4) started the engine again and continued to drive.i was very scared both times. I made sure, both times, that the gas pedal was not caught by a rug or similar external reason. The first time after this happened, i brought the car to the dealer, atlantic infiniti in jacksonville, fl 32225, and they said they could not find anything wrong with the car.note: i also do not use the cruise control, as it was suddenly decelerating the car without encountering any car or other object in front of it. This happened a couple of times before 5000 miles, so i do not use the cruise control at all.in summary, there seems to be some hidden problem with my 2005 infiniti fx 35 with uncontrolled acceleration and deceleration, most likely a defect in the computer chip controlling acceleration and deceleration.

The dashboard has become very shiny. The glare has on multiple occasions made it very difficult to see out the windshield. I have noticed the dash has also become very soft and almost gummy when the temperature warms up. I was driving facing the sun and i could not see the road for a number of seconds. This has happened multiple times.

Wheel bearings on both front wheels failed.noise does not appear at speeds under 25 mph but builds gradually from there.sounds exhibited are intermittent metal on metal squealing and a deep thumping sound, similar to a severely out of balanced tire.at highway speeds, noise will consume cabin.infiniti has acknowledged this issue by increasing their standard coverage from 50k to 70k miles.however, it should be escalated to a recall due to the high frequency of failures.a quick search on google of fx35 wheel bearing failure yields more results than a few isolated incidents.
