Had just paid for parking garage at booth- gate opened and as i began to move forward hit curb with front drivers side wheel- airbag deployed and hit me with stunning force (lacerations on forehead- hand and forehead bleeding - black and blue eyes later). The overall length of curb starting from gate was only 4 feet( i went back and measured later) at the end of curb was a 2 ft high concrete block.there was zero damage to my bumper and obviously had not accelerated since i had less than 4 ft to do so and was pulling out from a stopped position.called infiniti where i got my car- said they had never heard of such a thing- never got any answers and the airbag recall doesn't apply to my vin according to my research. Filed a claim with my insurance as airbag replacement very expensive and it fried my electrical.

The passenger airbag light stays on constantly. We had the dealership do a diagnostic on it and came back that the occupant control sensor unit in the passenger seat is bad and they want 6400.00 to fix it!! ironically, other 2007-2008 infinity ex35 models were recalled for the same issue, except mine due to my vin! why were 200,00+ other cars from same year and model recalled but not mine? even if new part was used, it still has the same error and should be recalled. This is a safety issue and totally unresponsible of these auto manufacturers to not take responsibility of this!

Takata recall

The contact owns a 2008 infiniti ex35. The contact stated that the air bag sensor illuminated, indicating that the air bagsmalfunctioned. The vehicle was not included in nhtsa campaign number:08v521000(air bags, electrical system). The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer who diagnosed that the front passenger side seat needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 112,000.

The dash board airbag warning light started flashing.it stayed flashing for a few weeks, so i took it to an infiniti dealership.the dealership told me there was some type of communication problem between the acu and ocs units, located under the passenger seat. They said they couldn't tell any more than that, and would try replacing the acu first (this cost me over $1000).they then said if the flashing light came back, the next step would cost me over $3200 (replacing the ocs, i guess).i then looked online for others with this problem, as this part is inside the car, and wasn't damaged in any way (i have the old part, looks in perfect condition), so i was suspicious that this was a manufacturer's defect.to my surprise, when i searched for 2008 infiniti ex35, i found not one, but *three* recalls for passenger seat acu/ocs problems!when i asked the dealership why my repairs weren't covered under one of those recalls, they insisted there were *no* recalls for my vin.thus started my education about "vin specific recalls".so naturally, i asked why my vin wasn't included in any of these recalls - they answered "we don't know."so, i asked, "who knows?"they then directed me to you (the nhtsa), which puzzled me, as i expected it was nissan itself which decides what vin's are covered and which are not - the nissan representatives i spoke to insisted this wasn't the case.so, my complaint is: my vin should be covered by (one of) these recalls.i find it extremely unlikely that my acu failed because of "wear and tear".i believe there is a common problem(s) underlying these recalls, which also affected my car.a manufacturer's problem.

Passenger side airbag light started flashing, took to columbus infiniti who told me faulty electrical system and to fix over $3000.i said no went home and looked up on internet 2 recalls feb 2008 and oct 2008 for the same problem, 08v521000 and 08v066000. I called back dealer and they told me even though it is the same problem my call was not involved in these recalls.i contacted infiniti corp and filed a complaint.result was my car not included in the recall but they would be half the repair or $1500 and give me a discount if i bought a new infiniti.i don't want a new infiniti even though i have owned 5 after this poor service.i feel this is a serious safety issue but i don't feel i should have to pay for a repair for a problem that has been involved in 2 recalls but saying even though i have the same problem my car isn't involved.[xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

The occupant classification sensor does not always function properly.even with an adult passenger in the front passenger seat, using the seat belt, the passenger air bag status light occasionally is illuminated(indicating air bag is off).this appears to occur randomly.i cannot find a pattern on what causes this to happen.we first noticed it more than 2 years ago, but didn't think much of it until now, with another recall on our qx60.

Airbag sensor in passenger side seat is not working ,other 2008 ex35 recalled for this, but not mine!!!???dealer wants 4600 dollars to repair it!!

While driving, and i'm getting ready to slow down or stop. The car completely shuts off. I have to put it back in neutral quickly in order for it to start. Also while at a complete stop. Once i accelerate, the car just cuts of in the middle of the road! this week alone i've almost had three accidents because of this. My car has been at numerous repair shops. They've all stated the cannot find anything wrong. Once my check engine light comes on. Bring it back. Really?! it cuts off daily, while in motion at least 6-10 times.

Radiator cracked at the junction of the aluminum and plastic causing the car to overheat and stall. It was explained to me that this was not uncommon due to the use of plastics in the cooling system now. There is no repair able to be done because of the plastic and the radiator needs to be replaced.

While driving in a parking garage looking for a parking space, my car just stopped. I was hit in the rear and there was no reason for my car to stop. It just stops while i'm driving. I called infiniti and they said once they replace the fuel pump in a previous recall they are not required to replace another one. Even if they are at fault it's my burden to fix the issue.

I have an ex 35 infinity that has smart cruise control. I had been using the cruise control for the previous approx. 5 hrswhile i was driving on the expressway coming home from fl at about 75mph., the cruise control suddenlystopped working and started flashing with limited power going to the car..this resulted in a sudden deceleration of the car and i almost was hit by the car behind me. This happened 2 more times-with me again starting the cruise control and the resulting deceleration. I did not use the cruise control for the rest of the trip. I had experienced the same problem a year ago. Both times i took the car back to the infinity dealer.the 1st time, i was told that the sensor was dirty and they cleaned it-but really didn't find anything.this time i was told that they did notice that there was a cruise control stoppage in the electrical data-but that again the problem was that the sensor was dirty. I had just had my car washed and found this explanation strange. This dirty sensor is under the front grill. It can not be cleaned by a car wash-nor is there any warning that the sensor is dirty and that the cruise is not working properly.this "intelligent" cruise control also slows you down suddenly at times when you are trying to pass another car due to the side sensors.i have been told by the infinity dealer that there is nothing that can be done.i have no idea if the cruise control, is now working property.i am very hesitant to try it again for fear of an accident.it is extremely scary to be going 75mph and suddenly your speed drops unexpectedly.please try to help me.
