This vehicle has an international dt466 egr motor.while driving down the road during the morning route at 55 mph, the driver stated that the vehicle suddenly started smoking from underneath the hood and it immediately shut down on her.this left the bus full of kids stranded on the side of the road as far onto the shoulder as the driver could coast. The cause was a blown high pressure oil line which comes from the high pressure oil pump and leads to the high pressure oil rail.
This complaint is for a school bus.two of the double pane window panels on the service door have some condensation between them.the condensation will not go away.this started in june 2011.all the same school buses in our town have had the same issue.when the condensation does dry, it leaves a white coating on the glass between the panes which is difficult to see through, creating a safety issue. The windows must be replaced ---at a high cost.it seems the windows are defective.
Owner operator of school bus states that four (upper-lower-right-left) dual pane door windows have fogged due to water entry between the panes.owner has removed the panes in an attempt to correct and found that (at least one of) the panes had completely separated from the pane "sandwich."owner was unable to remove coating from the glass with solvents, etc.this owner is part of a group of eight purchasers who purchased a portion of "on-site" inventory of busses which were all equipped with the same glass feature (i.e. Purchasers did not specify this option).owner of a related vehicle previously filed voq 10416533...updated 10/19/11the consumer stated he was unable to see children approaching the bus from the rear, due to the fogged glass. 01/23/12
