The air bag warning stayed lit the remainder of the time that vehicle was being operated. Dealership was notified, but did not resolve the problem.

The airbag light stays on. I have read numerous other complaints about this. There appears to be no solution to prevent the light from coming back on, despite different attempts to fix the problem. I understand if my vehicle is involved in an accident, the airbag will not deploy, which could result in a serious injury to someone in the passenger seat.

The driver owns a 2003 hyundai xg350. The owner of the vehicle received a recall notice for the suspension (09v124000). Prior toreceiving the notice, the driver stated that the vehicle was hard to control and the brakes began locking which caused her to hit a curb. The passenger front tire was damaged. The identical failure occurred when someone other than the owner was driving the vehicle and the rear passenger tire was damaged. There were no injuries during the failures. The dealer stated that the driver side air bag deployed while the vehicle was inoperative. The contact stated that there were various electrical malfunctions before the suspension failure occurred. The contact filed a complaint with the manufacturer who stated that there were no mechanical problems. The current and failure mileages were 4,162.

Passenger airbag light goes off due to something getting touched under the seat.many times when under warranty, they reset it. But it is no longer under warranty i called to hyundai to see if this is a defect and to see if the light on means their is no airbag working and complain that if my kid put his foot under the passenger chair or if a book went under it, it shouldn't trigger the airbag to shut off but no one ever got back to me.i called up the dealer and found out that the light on does mean the airbag is off and they are not aware of a recall but this happens a lot.i think it is a defect .why would make it so that anything can get under the seat to trigger wires to turn off important things.. I would hate to get in an accident and not have a passenger airbag... I am not sure when this first started and if st charles hyundai kept track of each time they fixed it for me.

Struck on drivers side.damaging both doors, roof, and b pillar.side impact airbags did not deploy.sideimpact airbag sensor had to be replaced when the auto was being repaired. Sensor was breaking away from it's mount.*la

My inlaws' car accelerated on its own causing an accident.*la

Car stalls on first start of the day. Rpm"s race over 2000 then down to stall. Problem occurs only on inital start.car has less than 15,000 miles.

My vehicle has been having a hesitation problem for some time now.i have taken it to several mechanics and have not found the problem after spending several thousand dollars.i took it to the local dealer (brown hyundai) in laredo tx and they point to the catalytic converters (3) and the oxygen sensors.i have had a mechanic remove the catalytic converts and tell me there is nothing wrong with the converters.the vehicle exhaust system reaches over 500 degrees.i have measured it with a heat gun.while i do not know what the proper temperature should be i know over 500 degrees is way to high.while i went to pick up my hyundai at the dealer he told me they had just had 2 other vehicles xg350's with the exact problem.if you go on line and read some of the codes they refer too "band 1 and bank 2 system too lean", this is a very common problem without an exact solution.i believe the code is p0174 and p0171.both the mechanics i have hired and the dealer have checked the list of possible problems which include:intake air leaksoxygen sensorsignition misfiringfuel injectorsfuel pressuremass air flow sensor.

Dt:the doors were locking by themselves, with the key turned off and being parked. Took the car to the dealer, and they realigned the doors. The car doors locked with the key in the ignition and left running.made 5 complaints to the manufacturer already. The manufacture sent someone to look at the car and said that there was nothing that they could do about it, the time limit for the lemon law has already passed. The manual says that the doors will not lock with the key in the ignition.

I have a hyundai xg350 2003.i had three incidents with it:two summers ago, i put the car in reverse and backed up few feet and stopped to look if it was clear to continue. My foot was on the brake, the car wasstopped, then suddenly it lurched back, stopped then lurched back again and again, finally it stopped.i reported it to the service people and they said no way that would happen.last summer, it did it again, but this time it lurched back only once.last september, backing out of the garage, i stopped, pressed hard onthe brakes to let my wife in. She opened the passenger door half way and thecar lurched violently backward, with my foot still pressed hard on thebrakes. That caused the door to pin my wife against the chimney, then slidand pinned her against an old refrigerator stored in the garage. Luckily the car stopped but not before it caused injuries to my wife.i researched the internet and found several owners of hyundai xg350 reporting the exact same problems.

I was recently the victim of a near catastrophic mechanical failure while operating my 2003 hyundai xg350l. I noticed the steering pulling hard to one direction, which made me take it for a tire inspection. The inspection revealed i needed a wheel alignment.the mechanic pointed out that the entire sub-frame was corroded and that it needed to be replaced, while investigating parts and prices, i discovered that there is a standing recall on this model hyundai for the exact problem i discovered.i called the recall line, received a confirmation number 11209268 & 3a249831; an an appointment for repair at happy hyundai.on my drive toward the dealership, the tire began to rub into the wheel-well each time i hit a bump, but i was on the expressway so i had to keep going to my exit. As soon as i came out of the exit turn, the car failed and i narrowly avoided a serious crash!!!! the motor was still running, but it would not go into gear. Each time i tried it would make a loud noise. I called a tow to take it to the dealer. When i looked underneath the car, i could see where a piece of the frame failed.i checked the car into the dealer and i was told it would be a week for the repair. I waited a total of two weeks without a call or email. When i initiated a call they told me the person who i was dealing with had quit. The new person said he was not even aware my car should have been serviced. He further said that someone else would have to call me before they would complete the repair.sir, i work as a driver. I have not been able to earn my living for more than two weeks based upon poor customer service. My car is there based upon every symptom described in your recall, but after over two weeks i still do not have my car. My interview of other mechanics informs me that the repair takes no more than four hours even if its worst case scenario.

Consumer states while entering a turnaround the front end of the car collapsed *tgwthe consumer stated when he exited the vehicle, he discovered the left front tire was askew and the axle was detached.the consumer stated the left front ball joint had sheared off. My inlaws' car accelerated on its own causing an accident.*la

The car has aproblem withlurching/accelerating/jumping while the foot pressed firmly on the brake. I had this happen to me three times within a period of two years and 17k miles and i was able to duplicate it intentionally after a dozen tries.the third and last time it happened it almost killed my wife. I had the car in reverse and the car completely stopped with my foot pressed hard on the brakes. When my wife opened the passenger door to get into the passenger side of the car, the car lurched violently backward and pinned her between the door and a chimney, then pushed her further back and pressed her against an old refrigeratorwhich is stored in the garage. Luckily the car stopped. We had to take my wife to the emergency room. She suffered several bruises extreme swelling and needed surgery to drain the fluids in the swelling areas.
