I was involved in a crash, i was cut off and rear ended a car going about 35 miles an hour. My airbags did not deploy, despite the fact that my car appears to be totaled, and was struck in the front end, which is when they should deploy. I now have pain in my neck, shoulders, and head, and am dizzy but unable to sleep because of vertigo.
My air conditioner compressor had blown out and the dealer is saying it will cost $1200. I live in a state that has 100 degree weather. There has to be some accommodation for this. If i owed my chevy they have a special policy for their customers. I will never buy another hyundai their cars are crappy.i have a case number with consumer affairs 11380579. When the representative did cal we played phone tag for her to tell me i was basically out of luck
My 2011 hyundai tucson stalled while driving on a busy city road . I was going straight with 40 miles/hour when my vehicle suddenly lost power for unnown reason, and started slowing down, then completely stopped. The engine stopped, gas pedal was not responding. The check engine, oil pressure, and battery light came on at the same time when car stalled. Battery is a couple of months old, everything seem to operate normally except the vehicle does not start. Fortunately i was able to pull over to a turning lain to avoid any accident and called my insurance company to have the vehicle towed to safety. I have received a recall letter from hyundai a few months ago, and immediately called the nearest hyundai dealer to have the vehicle checked. The representative said they do not have the parts yet and they will contact me as soon as the parts are available. I have yet to receive a call and now my vehicle stalled. It is inoperable.
The car would not start when i went to start it up.it was parked outside overnight in 20 degree weather and just clicked when i went to start it.i had to call hyundai roadside assistance to come and jump the car.they did and it took them a couple of tries and they had to use their vehicle, not the portable starter.they said that the battery was drained.there was no reason for that because there were no lights lefton.i took it in for service and they checked the battery and said it was it happened again on february 3, 2013 and i had to do the same thing.i had the dealership check the battery and it was fine.on march 15, 2013, the dealership checked the battery and it registered a strong charge.the dealership wanted me to leave the car there overnight to duplicate the conditions of the car not starting up, but were not willing to let me use a free loaner.as the temperature warmed up, it was not an issue.however, today i went to start my car and leave for work, the vehicle did not start up.it just clicked, the radio worked, lights worked, but the engine would not turn over.i am taking the vehicle to the dealership later today and they will let me use a loaner for free.i hope that they are able to diagnose and fix the problem as i need my vehicle for transportation.
I parked the car 6/12/19 wed that evening and everything seemed ok. At 1030am the next day, 6/13/19, i tried to use electric key to unlock to go to work and realized it wouldn't unlock so i noticed black soot above driver window and tried manual key to unlock.i could barely crack to see the seat exploded ondrivers side.called 911 and firemen and politics arrived. The fireman completely opened the door and after examine said the heated seat device had exploded or malfunction and the back of seat was blown in a reclined to the back seat position and all windows completely covered in soot, and a very strong electrical fire smelll was observed. Below are photos of car which was parked and it happened during the night.
The downhill brake control (dbc) indicator and the electronic stability control (esc)lights come on while car is in operation for no apparent reason - driving normal speed - about 45 mph, in normal dry road conditions.when i go to stop the car, the shift lever gets stuck and cannot put in park. It takes a few tries at jiggling the shift lever and jiggling key in ignition to get it to go into park.after shutting off engine, restart is normal with the dbc and esc lights no longer on.this has happened at least 10 times since original time i noticed it a few months ago.due to death in the family and other issues, have not been able to take it into to dealer since the first occurrence i noticed in march. I'm taking it in tomorrow and will advise.
I recently reached 115000 miles on my tucson.it started 2 weeks ago, the alternator needed to be replaced for higher output than it should.it caused the vehicle not to start since it wouldn't hold a charge.once replaced, the engine light came on again not long after so i took it into a shop.they found that i needed to replace two of the cam shaft sensors.a couple of days ago, drivingmy husband and kids, the rmp gauge went out and the vehicle would not accelerate.once stopped and restarted, the rpm gauge re-engaged and drive fine. No engine light came on.driving home today, 66 miles away from home on interstate 78 in new jersey, the rmp gauge went out again.i pulled over on the shoulder, put on my flashers and shut off the vehicle.i waited about 5 minutes and was able to restart the vehicle, this time the check engine light engaged.i was a few miles from my exit, and the rmp gauge again went out, at this point, i was not able to accelerate the vehicle and there were tractor trailers all around me.while reviewing other hyundai issues, i see other models having similar issues, yet no recall for the tucson.i am now not only fearful of driving it, engine light or not, but do not have reliable transportation to work.
Comment:i have brought in my tucson for the clunking transmission issue 5 times now. Each return to the service center results in a cannot duplicateresponse.1. On the morning of 28 march 2013, approximately 20 seconds after starting the vehicle the transmission was shifted into drive, a loud mechanical clunk was heard and felt from the driver's seat, the transmission did not respond, the vehicle would not move when the gas pedal was depressed, and the p,r,n,d indicator in the dash board display went blank. The car was shifted into p, a loud mechanical clunk' was heard and felt followed by a loud crunch'. The ignition was turned off, and the vehicle was restarted with no issues once the vehicle was warmed up.2. Recall service for the transmission cooling line coupling performed, the vehicle began exibiting the transmission disengage and reengage symptom while driving under acceleration. This occurs approximately once a day under any incline or flat condition while accelerating.3. While accelerating up hill, specifically up hill while accelerating up to 45 mph the vehicle will down shift to climb the hill. Under 2 conditions 1. Cruise control engaged, 2. Constant accelerator pedal application.the vehicle will not re-upshift once the hill has been completed and keeps an elevated rpm range of approximately 3000 rpm even while on level ground while passing tax and revenue. The rpms do not lower and the transmission will not up shift until either the brake pedal is depressed (to disengage the cruise control), or the accelerator is lifted. Note: the entire time this situation is occurring the econ green light is illuminated..the safety issue is that the transmission intermittently disengages while driving, sometimes while departing intersection.the transmission roblem has continued and grown worse with exapnding problems.
Incline and traction control lights illuminated on dash, signaling an electrical problem.discovered that exterior brake lights failed to illuminate upon depression of brake peddle, or would work intermittently.also discovered that while the vehicle was in this condition, the car would not allow the gear shift to go into park.this was a very dangerous condition for this vehicle and could have resulted in the vehicle being rear ended due to the inoperable brake light indicators.
Today i was out in my 2011 hyundai tucson.two of the lights came on the dash, one is for traction control and the other had to do with hills(sorry my car is at the dealer and i don't have the book to tell you the exact light description; one is orange with a vehicle and little skid marks after it the other is red with a vehicle going down a steep hill).i went to stop at a store and my car would not go into park from drive, the farthest i could get it was in neutral.after messing with it for 5 minutes i finally got the car into park.after leaving that store i went to go to another and had the same issue.i immediately called the dealer for service and took my vehicle there.i have done some searching online and see that this is not a new issue with tucsons as people with older models(2010 and back) have also had the same issue and some of them report it's due to a bad brake switch and once it was replaced they didn't have the problem again.my car was purchased in feb of 2011 and has approximately 6600 miles.
2011 hyundai tuscon speed sensor wires located behind tires. Wire is fully exposed to any road debris, easily severed which effects abs and traction control. Wire sticks out 3 inches in open air of the under carriage, also located close enough to the tires that if they kick up any debris it is in the direct path of the wire. Not heavy duty rap over the wire and could be broken by gripping by hand and pulling on it.
When driving to and from work (am/pm) the dbc (downhill brake control) and esc (electronic stability control) indicator lights will turn on and remain on until i stop and turn off the ignition.
Both the downhill brake light and stability track control light came on at the same time.my car wouldn't get out of park, or when i got it in drive, it wouldn't go back into park.taking it to the shop today, noticed it might be from a brake switch.
While driving at approx. 45 mph, i noticed that the electronic stability control light was on and the downhill brake control indicator (red) was on. I returned home, shut down the engine, restarted it, and the problem seemed to go away. Upon returning home the next day from a trip, while parking the car, both indicators came on, and the vehicle would not allow me to put the transmission into park. I left the transmission in neutral, and shut the engine down. I then turned the key on, put my foot on the accelerator pedal (to the floor) for 3 seconds, turned the key on, and the problem was gone....for now.
When driving to and from work (am/pm) the dbc (downhill brake control) and esc (electronic stability control) indicator lights will turn on and remain on until i stop and turn off the ignition. When i stop, i am unable to shift the gear into park. While in a panic, i made several attempts to put the vehicle in park and each attempt was unsuccessful. So i put it in neutral to turn the ignition off, waited a few minutes, then restarted it and put it in park in order to remove the ignition key. I may have to try this several times before i am able to shift into park. It has happened several times since the first date. Also, when i shift gears a loud mechanical clunk sounds which jerks the entire vehicle. This even happens when i start off driving and it is very annoying and scary. I have to restart the vehicle several times before it finally stop. Then after about three days it start all over again. I see this as a danger because i commute 56 miles one way to work and i thought i was purchasing a dependable vehicle but apparently not.

I may have to try this several times before i am able to shift into park. It has happened three days in a row.the dealership is unable to duplicate this problem. They did tell me that this is a known problem with the brake switch for some models but my vin# is not showing a recall.i will need to bring in the car when it actual locks in gear.
Hydraulic tensioner failing resulting in timing slip and catastrophic engine failure. Our car had stopped working while travelling on a residential neighbourhood, and needed a tow to the dealership. Upon investigation, we found out that the timing belt tensioner failed, likely due to lack of oil pressure. There was oil in the engine at the time set at the correct level. We later found out that this similar motor on other models has had a large recall. Pluggage could have led to lack of oil pressure causing it to fail. Luckily no other damage occured during this incident but this could have potentially high consequences if travelling on the freeway. Hyundai has shown no support or recognition in this issue so far and it should be reported.

At about 99,000 miles my hyundai tuscon began making a ticking noise in the engine.it progressively has gotten worse. Now at 103,000 it is much louder and i'm being told it is a lifter problem. I'm reading about recalls on the 2.0 motor but tuscon not included with the santa fe and sonata and many other people having the same issue

There is a recall out on my vehicle. Manufacturer recall number 181/nhtsa recall number 19v063.the problem is that there is no remedy yet available for this and they issued the recall in february. I took my vehicle in for p.m. Service at the hyundai dealership, and they told me my vehicle was indeed symptomatic of the nature of the recall (leaking fluid between engine block and oil pan), but that hyundai did not yet have a remedy. When i look up the recall on the nhtsa website, it says,"if the manufacturer has failed or is unable to remedy this safety recall for your vehicle in a timely manner, please contact the nhtsa..." i feel as though, given the potential risk (failure at high speed/possible engine fire) and timeline (recall issued in february - no remedy yet available in mid april), hyundai has indeed failed to remedy this safety recall in a timely manner. Furthermore - i have received no official communications from hyundai regarding this matter which i find unprofessional as well.
Highway, bridge, following significantly far back.car stops ahead and i brake in plenty of time (my son was in the front seat and can attest to that).car brakes but very slowly, not in time so we hit the stationary car and then we were hit much harder from behind.airbags deployed.the car immediately filled with smoke which i attributed to the air bags because i did not know any better.very scared, i screamed for the kids to get out of the car.smoke was gone by the time police arrived.we were ok, my son and i had sore ribs and while talking with police my left hand was burning from something.nothing was visible so i saw know point in telling anyone.it left a rash and within time it peeled and now is back to normal. A few days later, had some headaches.went to the athletic trainer at our school (i am a teacher) and was put on concussion protocol.car was totaled.the front looked like an accordion as we were pushed significantly into the vehicle in front by the car who hit us from behind.i was so relieved that everyone was ok that ireally did not think about it until recall notice came for the car which of course was already gone.engine problems with "oil leaks and possible spontaneous fires, increasing risk for accident" is the wording on the recall.
Takata recall : i have to drive 47 miles on a fast paced highway in southern florida in order to get to my job, daily. Multiple times a week i experience a stall while traveling at high speeds on the highway. I took my car to a local hyundai dealership recently and they did not even know about the upcoming recall. For months, i have been having to drive my car and feel unsafe. I have to go to work, and i do not have another vehicle option. I feel unsafe and am incredibly upset that hyundai has not found a resolution yet. If this problem is not fixed soon i will be forced to get another vehicle, regardless of my financial situation. My next vehicle will not be a hyundai, solely because of the amount of time this recall resolution is taking.

My car had a recall that was going on for about a year with my car stalling and smelling of burning oil. Early this year a letter was mailed stating recall in being investigated, (campaign 181) the end of september i got the official letter about the recall and what i needed to do. It took a 1weeks to get the car in. My car stalled twice during that time. Days before my car got fixed my car stalled twice, and i start hearing a loud noise in which i found out after the recall was fixed that my valve covers needed replaced. The technician said that it could not be fixed because engine was bad. I had a corporate representative who did nothing, and i had to call 500 times to have it escalated to a corporate manager. After i got a corporate manager is when grayson hyndaui decided to give me an estimate. My car has been parked at home since 9/24/2019 and i have paid to rent a car since that day an till this day. I want this resolved asap.

Engine has a very bad knocking sound as described in recalled cars that catch fire with the same engine.i can't drive it in this condition and the mechanic says repair is very expensive and might not fix the problem.there is a concern that there are no good engine parts from which to ever fix it.the sound just keeps getting worse.

However upon restarting the car check engine light is gone and it masks a serious problem in the car thatcan be life threatening.

The contact owns a 2011 hyundai tucson. After attempting to move forward from a stop, the vehicle suddenly stalled and completely shut off. The contact could not restart the engine. The vehicle was towed to an authorized dealer but the failure could not be duplicated. The manufacturer sent out a district manager to inspect the vehicle but could not find the cause for failure. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 600.
2011 hyundai tuscan. Consumer writes in regards to cooling lines, transmissions and brake switches replacements more than once. *tgwthe consumer stated the vehicle would nt accelerate when the accelerator pedal was applied, the transmission would buck and bang when it was shifted from park to drive. The dealer found the transmission was worn internally and the cooler hose was cracked, which caused the transmission fluid to leak. The esc light illuminated, due to an open circuit in the brake switch. The consumer stated the vehicle was taken to the dealer for the same problems seven times.
While driving in stop and go traffic to and from work (am/pm) the dbc (downhill brake control) and esc (electronic stability control) indicator lights will turn on and remain on until i stop and turn off the ignition.however, when i stop, i am unable to shift the gear into park.i am forced to put it in neutral to turn the ignition off, wait a few minutes, then start the car and put it in park in order to remove the ignition key. I may have to try this several times before i am able to shift into park. It has happened three days in a row.the dealership is unable to duplicate this problem. They did tell me that this is a known problem with the brake switch for some models but my vin# is not showing a recall.i will need to bring in the car when it actual locks in gear.
I've been having a serious, reoccurring problem, that the service team continues to miss-diagnose. While accelerating, my car will suddenly lose all power. The engine continues to function just fine, and the rpm's continue to rise (very rapidly), but no power is being transferred to the wheels. The service team has decided this is an issue with my tire pressure, which is clearly not the case. This issue is either software related, or is symptomatic of a drivetrain problem, transmission, transfer case, or front/rear differential.this is a serious concern for my safety, and the safety of my family. I'm reporting to the nhtsa.i have been driven off of the road twice because of my inability to accelerate when needed.today was the second time i have ended up on the side of the road, shaken, crying and afraid. I have been taking this car in for this issue since 2012.this happens on all roads but is more likely when trying to accelerate on the freeway.
While driving my 2011 hyundai tucson manual stick shift on the freeway in 5th gear, the clutch came apart.according to the service tech, the clutch had no significant owner wear and tear.he informed me that the clutch was defective and that it fell apart while driving because a piece fell out, which, according to him, should never have happened.pictures of defective clutch available.*four months prior, the clutch sensor went out and the vehicle would not start.i was informed that the vehicle had a faulty sensor, again due to product defect.
The contact owns a 2011 hyundai tucson. While the vehicle was at an independent mechanic for routine maintenance, the contact was informed that the transmission had a leak. The contact stated that the vehicle exhibited the same symptoms as listed in nhtsa campaign number: 16v057000 (power train). The dealer was not notified. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified and did not assist. The failure mileage was approximately 115,000.
When returning home from store i couldn't put the car in park. Only could get to neutral. Turned the car off and started it up again and it moved into park. This has happen now three(3) times in the last week. I have called to get it looked at next week.
My car had unintended deceleration following crank sensor error. On freeway my car suddenly decelerated and i had to exit. Upon exit while diagnosing in the parking lot engine revved suddenly and car moved even though it was on neutral. All the fault codes were caught on torqueobd. However upon restarting the car check engine light is gone and it masks a serious problem in the car thatcan be life threatening.
The contact owns a 2011 hyundai tucson. While driving 30 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the transmission fluid cooler hose failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 16v057000 (power train). The vehicle was taken to another dealer where it was diagnosed that the transmission failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 95,000.
The engine on my 2011 hyundai tucson limited seized up without warning on february 6th, 2018 while driving down the highway at 65 mph on hwy 44 in st. Louis. The engine only had 78,000 miles on it and had received regular oil changes. Since it seized up completely i had to get a new engine for it. I had only owned the vehicle for about 10 months; it was purchased from suntrup ford in st louis in 2017.
Occurs intermittently, but on a more frequent basis now, the shifter becomes blocked and the car can't be put in park. Both stability control and down hill lights come on during that time. Same has occurred while trying to get car out of park and in gear.this has occurred while car is stationary. It became a safety issue while parked on a down slope hill. Had to use e-brake and eventually find a flat road to park and use e-brake while trying to find a solution to securingthe vehicle so it would not roll away.
The transmission/gears gets stuck when i want to put it in reverse.this happened 5 times in the last 3 months. I brought the car and complained to the dealer and they said it could be a brake light issue and could not fix it unless they see the problem when it happens. This problem occurs randomly. It happened again last week so i scheduled to bring it in to the dealer this week.
The rubber transmission cooling lines broke at 55 mph on rt 81s and instantly blew the transmission.my vehicle is the exact make, model and year of the nhtsa campaign 16v05700.i contacted hyundai for reimbursement of my repair costs and hyundai stated that my vehicle was not part of this "149" campaign. I do not understand why others with the exact same problem are being reimbursed and i am not?clearly hyundai is at fault. Documentation is attached
The contact owns a 2011 hyundai tucson. Without warning, the vehicle gradually reduced speed and an internal fracture occurred with the transmission. The vehicle was unable to be driven. Upon further inspection, the contact noticed an extensive puddle under the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the dealer for further inspection and diagnostic testing. The contact had been waiting for days for the dealer to determine the parts and remedy to repair the vehicle. The contact had not been notified, but the vehicle was included in nhtsa campaign number: 16v057000 (power train). The manufacturer was unable to provide a specific date to supply the parts to the dealer. The approximate failure mileage was 32,000. Parts distribution disconnect.
The contact owns a 2011 hyundai tucson. While attempting to accelerate from a stop, the vehicle failed to respond and the check engine warning light illuminated. The failure occurred twice. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the transmission fluid hose failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired per nhtsa campaign number: 16v057000 (power train); however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 67,000.
In may 2015, my transmission broke down while driving and i was unable to stop in the parking lot of a walmart.i had it towed to the local hyundai dealership (knoxville, tn) where i purchased the 2011 hyundai tucson.the automatic transaxle cooler hose had burst.i paid for the repairs.i received a letter of recall in march 2016, stating i would be reimbursed for the repairs.i submitted the "request for reimbursement".i received a letter from hyundai on march 25th, 2016, stating they would process the reimbursement in 90 days.they requested a copy of the repair sheet from the hyundai dealer, which i sent along with the cost documenting where i had paid for the repair.on june 15, (82 days), i received a letter requesting a "clear credit card statement showing name of card holder on statement".the credit card statement was sent the same day showing the name. Having heard no word, i followed up on june 27th (94 days).i received a response requesting the same information to which i stated i had already sent it and sent another copy.on june 29th (96 days), i received a call requesting my relationship with the name on the credit card statement, to which i responded it was my wife's name as we share the credit card account.i was told i'd receive an email within 2 weeks (110) days with a date the check would be sent.after day 110 (july 13th) i sent an email requesting an update.on july 15th (day 112), i received a call from gabriel asking my relationship with the name on thecredit card statement.i told him it was the same as the last time, she is my wife.gabriel said i would receive an email within a week (july 22nd).it is now august 2nd (day 130).i was supposed to receive the reimbursement no later than 40 days ago.my hyundai recall case # 2714-516150749-2658

I no longer own this unsafe car. I am short, and thus sit lower and adjust the driver seat forward to reach pedals. (tall friends sit farther back/higher, and don't seem to have problems.). This car has serious side blind spots caused by the decreasing size of the windows and the very thick side columns for the air bags. The driver's side column ended up right beside my face, and combined with the seat back/head rests, blocked my view. Neither side mirrors nor the rear-view mirror cover this blind area - and it can't be seen when craning one's neck to around... I was on the i-5 freeway near portland, orand wanted to change one lane to the left... I signaled, checked both side mirrors, the center rear-view mirror, and craned my head around to look, and then started moving over... I heard a beep!, and swerved back to my original lane, only then seeing a motorcycle which had been in my blind spot...my brother was killed in a motorcycle accident 7 years ago, and this incident terrified me so that i had to pull over because i was crying and shaking! it had been so close, and i decided right then i had to get rid of the car...there are also visibility problems when making a left turn across a large intersection (more gradual/slighter curve..). Turning left, the airbag column in the left corner between windshield & left window ended up in the center of my vision. I couldn't see where i was heading, and just sort of "judged" my destination lane by memory and/or cars beside me in the next lane turning...scary! i have a short friend with the identical car (1 yr newer), and the same trouble with blind spots and blocked visibility when slightly turning left. These are serious issues (and looking for a new car, this car wasn't the only one with this body style.) i bought a 2014 suburu forester, larger windows/much narrower columns, vastly improved visibility and no blocked view.
Both the downhill brake light and stability track control light came on at the same time.my car wouldn't get out of park, or when i got it in drive, it wouldn't go back into park.taking it to the shop today, noticed it might be from a brake switch.

The contact owns a 2011 hyundai tucson. The contact stated that when driving at least 5 mph over road bumps that the vehicle would sporadically lose braking power for one to two seconds.the vehicle was not inspected by a dealer nor repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 1,700.
Electric steering feels vague, lacks feedback at highway speeds giving you a feeling that you have momentarily lost control and going to crash.

While driving on a flat road surface the rear subframe broke on rear passenger side and car was difficult to control. The car was recalled for corrosion and taken to the dealer march 2017 for this issue i feel this should have been fixed at that time so this wouldn't have happened and i don't think it was done! the car had 150,000 miles at time of recall. I also took my car regularly thru car wash to remove road grime from underneath!
The contact owns a2011 hyundai tucson gls. The contact was driving approximately between 55-65 mph, and heard an extremely loud road noise emitting inside the cabin. The clanging noise was coming from the suspension area and would occur whenever the vehicle was in operation. We were heading out on vacation from akron, ohio when the dashboard low air pressure tire light came on during our trip.we exited off at the next exit for gas and to add air to the rear tire.we heard air leaking from the tire tread area and had to go to a local repair shop in sissonville, wv for the repair.the repair shop reported that we had tread separation and that the steel belt made a hole in the tire.he changed our tire with a used one to get us to our destination in north carolina.in boone n.c. We had our tires looked at and they showed us the we had another tire with a 4 inch slit in the tread area and was cupped( a broken belt); this also was the rear tire.they remaining two tires showed signs of tire separation.all four (4) tires were replaced with new ones.our vehicle is a all wheel drive 2011 hyundai tuscon.

Tucson recall: the car seizes while in motion, and revs in motion without the driver pushing the accelerator/gas pedal - meaning the driver either is coasting or has a steady pressure on the gas pedal, and the seizing and reving of the car is more than and not equal to the pressure being applied to the pedal - so the car is "racing" even though the driver is not increasing pressure on the gas pedal. The car also stalls when first started, unless the driver revs the engine using the gas pedal in park. This has been occurring over the last year - despite the car being serviced every 3,000 miles - service provider cannot provide diagnosis or solution.

Hyundai motor america is conducting a safety recall to inspect, and if necessary, replace the engine assembly in certain model year 2010 through 2013 hyundai tucson vehicles equipped with 2.4 liter theta-ii engines produced from march 3, 2010 to december 31, 2012 by hyundai motor company at the ulsan plant in the republic of korea.safety riskthe subject vehicles may have an engine oil leak from the seal between the oil pan and engine block which, if left unrepaired and operated over time could eventually lead to engine damage. A damaged engine could lead to high speed stall and in limited cases, a vehicle fire.my air conditioner has stopped working and two of my doors locking mechanisms are no longer working.

Recall order 181 received last year.been checking but all i get is" remedy not available 'you claimed this is a dangerous defeat.what does this mean, "remedy not available ''. A year and keep thinking, is this defeat going to happen while i,m dring on the i-4 highway.?
My air conditioner compressor had blown out and the dealer is saying it will cost $1200. I live in a state that has 100 degree weather. There has to be some accommodation for this. If i owed my chevy they have a special policy for their customers. I will never buy another hyundai their cars are crappy.i have a case number with consumer affairs 11380579. When the representative did cal we played phone tag for her to tell me i was basically out of luck
2011 hyundai tucson limited, our vehicle has an acceleration problem.when entering an interstate i have noticed when i need to quickly accelerate to merge the vehicle hesitates and then decelerates with the pedal fully depressed.the technicians at the hyundai could not get the vehicle to repeat the defect.

I was heading southeast (inbound) on highway 290. It was clear, roads were dry, and no debris in the road.i had my 16-year old daughter with me.i was driving and she was in the passenger seat. I was in the far left (passing) lane. Out of nowhere, my sunroof shattered and flew off my car.it shattered mostly into a thousand pieces, but the person driving behind me indicated that a huge piece flew off and hit his windshield causing it to crack in multiple places.my sunroof had been closed. My interior shade was also closed. There was no reason this should have happened.
I was driving approximately 70mph down a highway when i heard a loud pop and my sunroof exploded.glass sprayed all over the interior of the car and with enough force to embed into the center console.i did not see any objects or other road debris that could have flown up and hit me, just the pop and rain of glass shards.i have minor abrasions on my head and face from the glass as a result of the sunroof shattering.
