I was doing a 75mph in the state of colorado and suddenly i lost all the power in steering. The brakes were jammed. The steering wheel won't budge. I got rattled in this situation but adrenaline took over and i could slightly swerve the car off the highway and then on the shoulder. I had to use the emergency brakes often, just to slow down the speed and hence to a full stop. The parking brake was my only resort in this incident. I was fortunate to not have met with an accident. It would have been fatal. Upon diagnosis, i found that the timing belt had broken down and this resulted in the loss of power to motors and hence the entire breaking and steering assembly. There was no warning sign for the same, no check engine or any sign that this might happen. Had there been an indication, i would have got the issue sorted out. There are plenty of cars on road which are not aware of this possible issue. This can cause sudden loss of control over car and hence catastrophic/ fatal accidents. I had to tow the car for 200 miles to repair shop. It broke down at a lonely spot.the official position of the company is "we have not seen this issue for a lot of similar cars and hence we won't be taking any action". This is unacceptable. There must be someone who is accountable for such kind of issues. At least a warning should be sent to current car owners so that we can save some lives.

When trying to brake as the truck in front of me was braking, my brakes would not work at all. I slammed into the truck at approximately 47 mph. My airbags did not deploy and my seat belt did not tighten. Nothing worked the way it was supposed to.

The car was in the process of stopping for a red light, the tachometer showed and increase to about 2,000 rpm. I put the car into neutral and the engine throttled back to a normal 800 rpm. The rest of the short trip was uneventful. The second time my wife was in the car; she is afraid to drive it as she said if that happened to her she wouldn't know what to do. I will take it to my mechanic.

Interior systems, front seats and head rest assembly, the seats in front i drive my car all day for my business and my neck shoulders are so stiff and causing headaches and my back is very sore and mostly cause the sitting on the front seat is very hard, and the head rest is in a very strange angle even when i put the seat back a bit it makes me hold my neck forward and it is not good. That is the only complaint i have for this vehicle.

The headrest on the vehicle is causing neck problems / headaches.

While driving this car on a highway the brakes became stuck and the car had to be towed because it would not move any direction. It was temporarily fixed but was told this brakes will cost over $1000.00 because of an abf? needed.

I was driving when informed that both break lights went out at the exact same time an i no longer have any break light to signal if i was breaking. I took car to the mechanic and was told it was not the fuses nor was it the stop switch that is causing it to malfunction. It has to do with the wiring issue of the car. Rear subframe of my 2007 hyundai tucson rusted through. The rear subframe was treated for rust in march 2017. October 2019 the rear subframe rusted to the point of not passing inspection. Considering this is a known issue with other hyundai models, hyundai wouldn't stand by their safety awards and help me with this because my car was not part of any recall pertaining to rear subframes rusting.

2007 hyundai tucson on 10/22/2019 the car was parked stationary at my wifes work within a hour of her being there someone ran into the building stated a vehicle was on fire which was the hyundai tucson this vehicle had no issues and was a great loss.

The 'check engine' light came on.the next day as i was turning into our driveway with my foot off of the gas pedal, the car accelerated at full throttle.i immediately shifted into neutral and the engine roared.i then turned it off and restarted it and it was fine then.i took it to the dealer and they replaced a temperature sensor for the transmission.i have had no incident since then.i could have killed someone with the car lurching like that.

After driving the car and the engine is turned off it will not crank again immediately.it takes approximately 15-30 minutes for the car to cool down before starting again. In starting the car again, fuel smell is very strong and the car shakes with black smoke coming from the exhaust/tail pipe.the dealer was able to duplicate.in addition, when feet is on brakes, the transmission revel up as if the car is going to take off.this happens when applying the brakes and coming to a stop.the dealer has duplicated the cranking problem.i was told several components were being replaced only to find out that if the fuel pump, fuel pump wiring, cleaning of corrosion from the wiring harness was done, the car still would not crank after driving the car and turning it off.after calling the consumer affairs office several times and was told that a case manager would call, the case manager never called.the dealer requested a field engineer.after the fuel smell continue to worsen, telephone consumer affairs for the fourth time.this time, the first responder answering the phone laughed when i told her that i was afraid of driving the car and feared that it would catch on fire or blow up according to mechanics.the representative snickered! she told me that the field engineer determined that the wiring harness had been damaged when i supposedly pre-wired the car for an after market alarm system. He decided to void the warranty so the dealer stopped trying to figure out what is wrong with the car. I was told i had to fix the wiring harness.the problem with this conclusion is that i never had an after market alarm put on the car nor did i buy a car with an after market alarm system.i have experience the problem from january 2011 and continues to experience.i called for the ceo of hyundai who never responded. The case is with regional who has yet to call.

2007 hyundai tucson with only 22,000 miles on it is now experiencing sudden unintended acceleration. Hyundai is in total denial and squirted some lubricant on a linkage and sent me on my way. After not being able to drive this vehicle due to safety concerns i demanded that the same tech come out and drive it for his self. After getting on an interstate the same issue happened to the tech and now they are stating that something is wrong just not saying what.sporadic sudden acceleration is experienced with no warning. The gas pedal will actually fall rite from under your foot or more precisely is sucked out from under your foot. The engine tacks out at top end and if driven for a while this will slow down to normal driving conditions.braking is impeded by some mechanism and does not stop the car and after standing literally on the break pedal i was forced to shut the car down and coast wildly into a break down lane.this issue has been experienced now for 3 months.car has been to the dealership 3 times now for this issue. The described set of occurrences above have taken place a number of times and with varying degrees of severity. When will these car companies get the message? how many people need to be killed by these kinds of engineering flaws before real action is taken?

While accelerating, the pedal fractured and fell off. The car decelerated to idle speed.

The contact owns a 2007 hyundai tucson. The contact stated while sitting idle at a traffic stop, there was an abnormal increase in engine rpms and the vehicle suddenly accelerated without warrant. The vehicle crashed into a preceding vehicle. The contact confirmed this was the third crash resulting from unintended acceleration in the vehicle. The vehicle was left with the dealer however, the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The failure mileage was 50 and the current mileage was 28000.

After 3 hours of highway driving after buying certified used car check engine light comes on. I drive for another hour and then have the code scanned. The code reader says "torque converter solenoid".as well as transmission temp sensor car has 87000 miles roughly... As well as sitting at a stop rpms are all up and down engine revs with foot on break and not even touching gas. Vehicle jerks forward when driving on highway and occasionally while parked

I was driving the car when it was raining the rear windshield wiper motor stopped working about halfway up and has been stuck there cents

I purchased a 2007 hyundai tucson in november of 2006 and while driving it on a city street on 2/8/07 when i was pulling from a stop when my back window exploded.the police were called and determined that there was no object thrown at the vehicle - there seems to be no explanation of why this occurred.
