Driving west bound on interstate 10 fwy approximate time 2:30a.m. I had a tire blowout. The blowout in turn made me lose control of the vehicle and i went into a spin causing me to crash into a post on the side of the fwy. Upon crashing into the post my head hit the steering wheel at which time the airbag did not deploy. I have never had an accident in this car before, my assumption was that the airbag functioned. The airbag feature in my car proved to be totally non-functional.

I had a 2006 tiburon hyundai. On june 25th i was in a role over accident and not one air bag deployed. I feel hyundai has given false advertisement. Now the insurance is claiming it a total loss and hyundai is wanting to take over the vehicle and use it for salvage with out recognizing there was an issue with the air bags not deploying. Due to information given by police hyundai is fighting for the release of the vehicle. However they continue to refuse to acknowledge their was a defect with their air bags.

The contact owns a 2006 hyundai tiburon.the contact stated that the passenger side air bag deployed while the vehicle was parked.the passenger sustained bruises on his shoulder.the manufacturer inspected the vehicle, but could not determine the cause of failure.she stated that the manufacturer would not release the vehicle until she signed a release form.the current mileage is 15,700 and failure mileage was 15,600.the consumer stated hyundai hired an outside investigator to inspect the vehicle. The consumer stated hyundai will not repair the vehicle unless she signs a waiver stating that they are not liable and the vehicle is under warranty. The consumer provided copies of the disclaimer letter from hyundai. Updated 09/05/07

The contact owns a 2006 hyundai tiburon. While driving 35 mph, another vehicle merged into the contact's lane and came to a stop. As a result, the contact rear ended the vehicle. The air bag failed to deploy. The contact sustained neck and back injuries that required medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 126,000.

On friday, august 25, 2006 my son was driving in a residential area when he attempted to turn left and the steering locked up and he had no control and could not get his car to stop and he hit a tree.he and his passenger were fortunately wearing their seat belts and did not get thrown out of the car.the air bags did not even deploy.none of them.car taken to body shop for repair as it was undriveable.driver and passenger did not go to er, however, they did have whiplash-type injuries and passenger jammed his finger.

While at a complete stop, the front airbags deployed. Causing driver to inadvertently accelerate into stopped car in front of him.

The contact owns a 2006 hyundai tiburon. The contact stated that while driving approximately 55-65 mph, the fog lights were activated and the vehicle suddenly shut-off. Additionally, the speedometer suddenly changed by increasing and decreasing. The contact stated that once the fog lights were turned-off, the issue went away. The contact also stated that whenever the hi-beam headlamps were activated, there was static in the radio. The contact had not taken the vehicle to be diagnosed nor repaired. Neither the manufacturer nor a dealer were made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 86,000.

Brand new car and engine went out. Dealer said i didn't have the oil changed which caused critical failure with engine. After almost 2 years fighting with dealer i gave up. I saved 5k to have a new engine installed with an outside dealer with the same year make and mileage. Todaycar is overheating and acting like the original engine i had. Guess what..this engine just turned 34000k ...you can tell i don't drive much which is even more reason why i think there is a problem with this year model 4cyl engine.100k mile warranty my [xxx]. I am fed up with this car.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

The kenwood cd player is defective.got another replacement one from dealership and it is also defective.

My daughter has a 2006 tiburon and has been having trouble with the wheel bearings going out of it. It was in the shop to get the front left wheel bearing fixed about 2 months ago.the month after that she started hearing the same noise coming from the back of the car the passenger side . Well i was in front of her in my car when the passenger side wheel just broke off of the car and made her crash into a guard rail head on she was hurt and is having back problems from the impact 2 of the airbags deployed.this car is a hazard to have on the road .the sunroof also fell apart and the radio does not work half the time.i wouldn't recommend this car to anyone.

I was stopped this pass weekend and told my brake lights are not working, was told by the state trooper that there was a recall on tiburon models between the yrs of 2006-2008 on stop lamps during brake don't illuminate and to get them checked out...sure enough i found the recall online, i called hyundai and they explain that my car isn't on the list for recalls...but i see the recall notices all over the internet...please explain ???thanks

Brake light switch malfunction causes brake lights to not illuminate when brake pedal is depressed.

Brake light switch malfunction causes brake lights to not illuminate when brake pedal is depressed.

Approximately one month after purchasing this car new (and less than 1000 miles on odometer), i started experiencing slipping in the clutch with severe lack of acceleration.the dealer replaced the clutch and flywheel under warranty, and state at that time that the had already performed similar repairs on that make/model.now in august, 2012, (65,000 miles) the car has had a similar problem requiring replacement of the clutch and flywheel.extreme lack of acceleration had made the car unsafe on a city street, let alone on a freeway.the mechanic has stated that he has never seen a flywheel scorched this badly.i have been driving standard transmission cars for 30 years, and have never had a transmission problem.

I own a 2006 hyundai tiberon bought it brand new it has 22,000 miles on it and the clutch and flywheel are shot. I've been driving standard for 13 years and have never had a problem with a clutch. I'm very disappointed in hyundai for not replacing a bumper to bumper warranty which i have. A car that i've had for 2 years shouldn't have 2300 dollars of work and if it does it should be under warranty. And i am shocked to see the number of hyundai's with the same problem. Hopefully something is done about this matter .

Vehicle had premature clutch failure. Repair cost 2700. Thousands of complaints on identical failures. Hyundai refuses to admit there is a problem, despite 2006 lawsuit in california concerning the 2003 models. Updated 05/12/11

Gears became hard to shift then impossible to shift replaced wit new clutch and had to replace again at 97000.

I'm from arkansas city kansas. I was driving in wichita ks on my way back home. I was driving about 55mph. When i engaged my clutched to go into the next gear nothing happened. The transmission seemed to go into gear but the car wouldn't move. I slowed down and stopped on the side of the road. I put it into first gear and tried to drive. The car moved nowhere. I wasn't sure what happened so i towed it back home. I looked online everywhere to find nothing that related to my problem. My car still wont move and i have no idea what is wrong with it.

I have a 2006 hyundai, tiburon gt with the 2.7 litre v-6 and 5 speed manual transmission.i have had a recent problem with the clutch slipping.i have looked on line and read about the problems with this issue.before i bought the car (new in 2006) i read about the clutch issues on line and thought that with the class action lawsuit settled, that the issue was resolved from the earlier model years.when you get some rpms on the vehicle (about 4000), and just before you up-shift the clutch starts slipping.the car has also started grabbing and slipping from a standstill.i guess i have been lucky, i have been driving mine since may of 2006 with very little to complain about.

I have a 2006 hyundai tiburon v6 5-speed.the manual transmission broke at 49,000 miles - not just the clutch, but all the major components of the transmission.this is a very common problem with this model - there has already been a class action law suit involving this model, but earlier years (03-04 - same car as the 06).hyundai will not fix the problem and has not recalled the vehicles.

After a couple months of owning my vehicle, my clutch went out. I took it back to the dealer and they told me that it was the way i was driving and that the clutch would not be covered in the warranty because it was a wear and tear issue and not a manufacturing defect. So i had to pay to get a new clutch and flywheel installed. Now after about 5 years, my clutch went out again. After this time however, i decided to do some research and was appalled at how this problem has affected so many people. Something needs to be done about this.

I bought the car and looked at the vehicle repair records and the clutch had been replaced about 12000 miles ago and i can push the clutch in and it is slipping horrible, i can push the clutch all the way down and it will slip and grind every gear as if i'm trying to shift without the clutch. I even stopped downshifting because it wouldn't go into gear without horribly grinding! i get so worried about it sometimes, that i almost wreck trying to keep my car in gear without breaking the trans, it is like learning how to drive a manual car again and i have driven one for a long time now.

Clutch fails to disengage.this is most dangerous when vehicle is parked in gear(as when parked on a hill with the rear of the front wheels turned to curb, and an attempt is made to start vehicle by pushing clutch pedal down and activating ignition, the vehicle may start with clutch engaged, and propel the vehicle into street and into th e lane where traffic is approaching from behind, and therefore out of sight.other dangerous situations are attempts are made to start vehicle are made in crowded parking lots where pedestrians might be walking behind car, and vehicle is propelled rearward.additionally, if attempts are made to stop quickly as when a car pu;lls out in front of you as in an intersection, the clutch might not disengage, and the inertial power of the engine might overpower the brakes, and vehicle will continue forward until engine power is overcome by brake powerincident each of these situations has happened to me, but i have managed, so far, to avoid the suggested results.

My tiburon was fine a few days ago but recently started giving me problems when shifting gears while the car is in motion or shifting into reverse while the car is stopped. I did some research and found that this is a common issue with these cars and that it seems to be a faulty model of clutch. According to my research this is something that is a safety issue and has not yet been brought up by hyundai for a factory recall

After i shifted from 1st to 2nd gear, i tried to accelerate but the clutch slipped. When i completely took my foot off the accelerator i felt and heard a mild clunk as it was finally engaged. The rpms were at about 2000 and i was only traveling 5 mph when this first occurred. I continued to shift through the gears with the same symptoms. Once engaged after a while, in each gear, i pressed down on the accelerator pedal approximately halfway to see what it would do. The rpms shot up and no power got to the wheels. The clutch slipped immediately. I could not maintain speed going up some hills without the clutch slipping. I am looking in my rear view mirror to make sure i don't get hit from behind. This happens every day but not consistently. I have to shift at a maximum 2,500 rpm for it to not slip. I don't believe the vehicle could maintain any speed above 50 mph without the clutch slipping. There is a progressive groaning since this first started. I can feel it in the pedals and steering wheel as well. Nothing is dragging and the fluid level is at manufacturer's recommendations.i have been driving manual transmissions for over 26 years, imports and domestic. I never had a clutch fail before 150,000 miles. There are three ways to avoid an accident; hit the brakes to avoid, steer to avoid, and accelerate to avoid. I have lost 33% of my capability to avoid an accident due to pre-mature failure of the clutch. The owner's manual states "ideally, corners should always be taken with gentle acceleration." this is currently impossible because the clutch slips when i try to drive that way, on both left and right hand turns.

I was in fairly heavy traffic traveling 65-70 mph and another car swerved in front after passing me (on the right) and when i went to apply brakes they went to the floor and the car started to accelerate. I again applied brakes and not only did they not work they also didn't disengage the cruise control. I started to panic and applied the clutch and tried to downshift. I had seconds to respond and a gap in traffic behind me so i needed to get over to right shoulder as quick as possible (i was in the left lane) i put the car in neutral and started to apply the hand-brake slowly at first. As i entered the right lane and neared the shoulder (out of traffic) i applied the hand brake as hard as i could and simultaneously turned off the ignition when the car had slowed enough.i should also mention that upon coming to a stop the check engine light was solid and stayed on even after shutting down and restarting the car. It remained on until i got the car to the nearest dealer.i'm ok and it could have been much worse (no damage to me or car) but the dealer who serviced the car told me they confirmed that the computer was sending erroneous codes to multiple 'systems' at once. I have their report and the documentation on the software update they applied to the car's computer. They didn't replace the computer just the software!this could have been much worse in another situation. It was scary as hell and i'm still somewhat shaken. I'd rather be proactive about bringing attention to this than ignoring the incident and the fact remains that i have no idea if the new software patch that the dealer applied to the computer is able to protect my safety.

At steady 40-mph on level road, a sudden downshift from 4th to 2nd with first effect -- felt like sudden braking and then very fast acceleration as rpm's went from 1500 in 4thto 6000 in 2nd before hitting accelerator pedal stopped the process to return to 4th and normal operations did this several times, very intermittent, starting at, roughly 35,000-miles on odometer and in late 2008 into 2009.

I have a 2006 tiburon and have already had to have it in the shop four times.for the sunroof, which still does not work right and the transmission.now it is starting to be sluggish again.i don't trash my car or hot rod it either.the motor in the sunroof has been replaced.the transmission has just been reprogrammed each time so who knows what will be done this time.

On june 11, 2007 at 26,577 miles, i experienced on my way in to work while driving, a slight stick and a definite "click" sound from my clutch pedal. While at a traffic light i experienced complete clutch failure, the car would not go in to gear. The invoice from the dealership states "internal part on master clutch broken-remove and replace master clutch". On october 15, 2007, at 37,500 miles, there began a similar clutch pedal problem, later the rpms of the engine were increasing, however the gears were not engaging fully, another clutch failure in less than six months. After doing some research, i have found that there is not only a class action lawsuit against the hyundai corporation for a defective clutch in the 2003 hyundai tiburon.(us district court orange county, california; case number 06cc00052) i have also found quite a few complaints not only of the clutch, but the hyundai corporations refusal to honor it's own warranty with it's customers. It is in my opinion that this corporation lacks the integrity to monitor itself and i am asking the nhtsa to investigate this problem.

I have 2006 hyundai tiburon and at 9440 miles i started having clutch problems and was told that this is normal and now the car is not even a year old and has 17000 miles on it and it is in the shop to get a new clutch witch is about 900.00 dollars. This seems to be something that is happening a lot. The warranty is 5 years bumper to bumper. Or the clutch is 12000 miles but i see why they just brushed me off at 9440 miles so the could get the money in 2500 more miles.

On december 15, 2005 i purchased a 2006 hyundai tiburon gt. After only 2500 miles the clutch went out. I have plenty of experience driving a manual transmission, so they couldn't blame me for riding the clutch. I'm now at 5400 miles and the clutch has gone out again. There is no reason for this, it just causes me frustration, and money that i pay for a car that doesn't work.

2006 hyundai tiburon clutch failure.we noticed that the clutch was starting to slip.shifter started to get stuck in gear.took to dealership where purchased and was told that it was going to cost 2000.00 to replace the clutch, they also proceed to question me saying that it appears that the car has been raced.we do not race our vehicles.in reading other complaints, this seems to be an on going problem with the standard transmissions in the hyundai's.i am to wonder if this make and model of vehicle should continue on the market.in order for the dealership to uphold the warranty, you have to have the vehicle maintenance done at a hyundai dealership and at the specified mileage.the maintenance is not cheap on this vehicle.our vehicle is at 32,000 miles maintenance was to be done at 30,000 miles, we were unable to afford the almost 600.00 for the maintenance.now they want 2000.00 to replace the clutch and fly wheel.someone really needs to check into the manufacturing of this make and model.

2006 hyundai tiburon se clutch malfunctioning and failure.poor quality and deformed parts used.warranty classifies parts as "wear parts."i took my car in for its scheduled maintenance visit to r.c. Hyundai in roswell, ga.after 2 days i experienced acceleration issues and went back to r. C. Dealership. On dutytechnician informed me the clutch was the source of the problem and it would cost me 2,000.00+ usd.when i asked why i was told this was covered by warranty during the original sales processireceived inconclusive answers.after a little internet research i discovered: a class action pending stemming from 03-04 hyundai tiburon's choice of clutch parts (fly wheel to be specific) and numerous post on edmunds car space ( over 5 pages of enraged hyundai tiburon 03-07 owners')hyundai refuses to acknowledge the faulty, deformed and defective parts that make up its clutch and continue charging hard working, honest people 2,000.00 to fix a problem they know exists and will continue to fail.blaming it on how the car is driven is both a shameful business practice and crime against consumers everywhere.

Clutch master cylinder was found to be falling apart. Replaced by dealer in dec. 2006. Clutch failed oct 2007. Vehicle inoperable. Dealer and manufacturer refusing to repair under warranty. Quoted $2,000 to repair clutch.

I recently purchased a hyundai tiburon 2006.at 3500 miles the clutch has gone out, completely.i have owned approximately 4 stick shifts and have been able to drive a stick for 20 years.two of the manual transmission vehicles i owned (one a saturn, the other an audi) had more than 100k on them when i sold or replaced them. The dealership is replacing the clutch for free, but i am concerned, after reading of similar and numerous other stories on the web, that this will be a continual problem.

Bought a 2006 tiburon, i drive the car to work and back lightly (no hard acceleration, racing etc).after 9000 miles the clutch suddenly went out, leaving me stranded on the road, needed to be towed into dealership, took 6 days to get the car back on the road, they replaced the entire clutch assembly.dealership repaired under warranty.i'm having other issues with the car including uneven acceleration and high idling.the car isn't even a year old, wouldn't recommend this model to anyone.

Approximately around 18,500 miles on my purchase-new 2006 hyundai tiburon se, i began to notice some clutch slippage when accelerating from a stand-still. Weeks later i had taken my car to the local dealership i purchased the car from to get the oil changed, and a routine inspection. At this time they found a small leak in the transmission, so they put some dye in it and asked me to come back a week later so they can track where it was. A week later i brought my car back and they said they wanted to replace the entire transmission, under warranty. I gave them the okay to do this. During the replacement process the clutch and flywheel was found to have 'hotspots' on it and was recommended to be replaced. I was already aware of possible clutch problems with the car before i purchased it, and was informed by the salesmen that they don't think there will be a problem and i would be taken care of. Regardless i was weary because of the many problems described on an online tiburon enthusiast message board (www.newtiburon.com). In which it is suspected poor design of the hydraulic system including but not limited to the slave cylinder valve spring to be the cause of these common, premature clutch failures.due to costs of the replacement parts, and limited time to take further action, i authorized the dealership to replace the clutch and pressure plate only, leaving the current flywheel in the car. This only cost me about $375, since the transmission was already being replaced that dramatically reduced the labor costs. Regardless it is still money i had to spend on a part that should not have to be replaced after only 18,500 miles on the car. I can only guess as to if this problem will crop up again, some 15,000+ miles down the road. Now at about 20,500 miles i have not had any problems yet, but the day is not over.

I just recently purchased my vehicle. I'm in the military so i put a lot of miles on it driving home all the time. After a month and a half and 5000 miles roughly, my clutch started slipping and then gave out. It was sudden and complete. The tech's at the dealership i took it to stated that my clutch had been severely fried like i was racing it. Fortunately they didn't remove my warranty but they did charge me $900 for it.

Car started to have a clutch pedal problem around 5000 miles, so i took it to the dealer and they said it was normal nothing to worry about.then at about 10,000 miles the clutch began slipping so i took it once again to the dealer. They said "yep the clutch is pretty worn out it should be replaced but we aren't sure if it will be covered under warranty" so they told me i need to authorize the payment for the clutch repair which was $1100. Well i am a college student and working to own this car and i didn't have the money to authorize that so i pursued the consumer affairs department and after a bout a month driving the car with the slipping clutch. I got approval to have the clutch inspected at no charge by the dealer they then told me that the clutch is so worn that i looks like it was severely abused and therefore not warrantable and it even seemed as though you were racing your vehicle so we has permanently removed the warranty on this vehicle. So as of today 11/6/06 the car is still at the dealership waiting.

2006 hyundai tiburon clutch failure at 17,000 miles. Manufacturer say it is driving habit failure and not covered under their warranty. Seam to be a problems with many other customers.

Clutch on 2006 hyundai tiburon has loads of problems.car barely functions and i have been driving manual transmission my whole life.full warranty will not cover because they claim it is "wear" related.it is not.started at only 25,000 miles.

2006 hyundai tiburon se v6 has 32,000 miles on it.never beat or raced.clutch was working fine one day.i went to go for a ride in my car the next day and couldn't get out onto the road.i barely made it to the side of the road to have the car towed!now the dealership is quoting me $2600 for a repair. The clutch is not covered under warranty but my gut feeling is that this isn't a problem with the clutch! it has to be a problem with the design.please help![xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Events leading up to the failure: acceleration is dangerously slow.engine output is low while the input of gas is high.gear shifting is normal but, results are mediocre.

1. The 2006 hyundai tiburon se that i am the original owner of has been driven almost daily to and from work. I was driving the vehicle today and the clutch starting slipping, i did not drive any differently than i do normally.2. I had the clutch for the first time ever start slipping today. I was driving up a slight hill and gave the car gas and it started revving up but not actually accelerating. I immediately let off the gas pedal and the rpms came down and reengaged the motor when the transmission should be. This was non-normal operation for the car and i was concerned that if i were to disengage the clutch that i would not be able to engage the clutch and drive the car home.3.i have taken no action to rectify the problem but was directed to this site fromhttp://www.newtiburon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=65973http://www.newtiburon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=64779and have been informed that my 2006 hyundai tiburon se may potentially have a clutch problem and has only been a lawsuit filed on the 2003 and 2004 tiburons with the six speed transmission.

July of 2007 i was having problems getting my car into gear. I brought it to the dealer i bought the car from and they told me that it was a pin that was bent relating to my clutch which i later find out was the master cylinder which was covered so their was no out of pocket expense however a little less than a year later in july of 2008 i was having the same problem so i bring the car back to the dealer and now they are telling me i need a clutch pressure plate release bearing and a flywheel which is not covered my car is less than two years old and has just over 27k miles i learned to drive on my permit using a manual transmission my first car was a manual and now this is my first brand new car and its also a manual i have never burned out a clutch.

Twice within a 3 1/2 years. There was no evidence prior to both clutch failures. Driving as normal and bam out of no where car will not accelerate. First time was on high in north carolina. Second time on lie in new york.each time car put in shop and coat of replacing clutch was $2000.00 the first clutch old parts are not available but this time the car is presently in the shop so old parts can be saved.

I bought a 2006 hyundai tiburon. The car now has only 32,000 miles and i started experiencing problems with the clutch. I brought my car to the dealership to have them inspect a loud ticking noise in feb.2008. They then proceeded to tell me immediately that it was the clutch bearing making the noise and needed to be replaced. I told them ok and asked them to fix it. Told me that it was a wear and tear item, and was not covered under the warranty. I left my car at the dealership and called later to check on the car. They once again said that the problem was the clutch bearing and i needed to replace the whole clutch for $900. After complaining to hyundai corporate. The dealer then stated that they did not have enough time to completely diagnose the problem, and could not tell me who the person whom i talked to. I left my car at the dealership on two different occasions. I recently took the car back in for the same problem. Only at this point, the clutch pedal was making a grinding feeling. I have to put about 20lbs. Pressure on the pedal to easily engage 1st gear or reverse for that matter. At my last visit, they mocked me and tried to change the topic. Then told me they would order the clutch bearing and replace it. But ensured me that they clutch still needed to be replaced. When i tried to explain how i do not race the car, the gentleman told me in the ten years he has been there, only one person admitted burning up the clutch. At this point i feel like i have been taken advantage of, called a liar, and denied the warranty services that should have been rendered to me. It seems like this has been a recurring issue. I have yet to have the bearing replacedwaiting on a phone call.

I have a 2006 hyundai tiboron and the clutch went after only 33,000 miles.absolutely unheard of!the warranty that's supposed to be so wonderful, is only for 12,000 miles or one year on the clutch!i have heard about many other people saying how badly made the clutch parts are on the hyundai's.they should be called out on it, it's a safety issue.

My clutch went out of my car after thirty five thousand miles. I understand that it is a wear item but i know how to drive stick and that is way to soon for it to go out. Now it has been another thirty five thousand miles and it is going out again. I talked to others who have had the same problem.there should be a recall on the 2006 hyundai tiburon. When the clutch went out it was fine one day and grabbing at the floor the next it didn't get progressively bad. Other tiburon owners were only getting twenty five thousand miles out of their clutches, so clearly this is a huge problem.

2006 hyundai tiburon seems like a high performance sports car. And it looks slick, but something about its manual clutch, fly wheel, master cylinder, presser plate, all that and more. Makes this 06 tibby a peace of bad engineering garbage! i bought this car jan 9 2007 with 3333 miles on it on july 24 2007 with 14,687 "i had to pay" 1,865.25 dollars to replace the mesh flywheel, presser plate, and clutch in my brand new 2006 hyundai tiburon! this is crazy, the factor, hyundai, car max, or my extended warranty wouldn't cover this! here i am again oct. 26 2008 with 44,000 miles my tibby is in the shop again. This time its the master cylinder, as often as i keep seeing this happen to other owners, of the 2006 hyundai tiburoni know its not just me or my car alone, its a big problem with every owner! if something isn't done about this, then my fellow 06 hyundai tiburon owners, my lawyer with dates and copies of repair receipt just waiting for my q to file something on hyundai, and i will try to have this problem taken care of because of until now nobody has! hyundai should not want ppl telling other ppl not to get a hyundai because they build bad vehicles should they? that's bad business all around!

Manual transmission clutch premature wear out or failure.see all attached web sites. Http://townhall-talk.edmunds.com/direct/view/.f0c9eb6; http://www.carsurvey.org/reviews/hyundai/tiburon/r72880/comments/; http://www.aboutautomobile.com/complaint/2006/hyundai/tiburon/clutch this is 4-6 years of complaints from different owners this should be addressed. If one person can find other people with different year vehicles of the same problem. Do we have to have people killed before you take action on any situation.a check valve and spring may be removed to remedy this dangerous situation.it causes the car to lurch of buck unexpectedly.possibly causing a rear end collision.

I own a 2006 v6 hyundai tiburon. At 28,000 miles my clutch began to give me problems. I went to the dealership they found a major hydraulic leak in my master and slave cylinders. They thought that might have been the problem and replaced them under warranty. It did not fix the problem and i have to replace the clutch and flywheel.

Clutch failure at 32,000 miles 2006 hyundai tiburon.

I was driving to a range site on ft.sill oklahoma and the guys behind me noticed my brake lights were not working on my 2006 hyundai tiburon. All the bulbs are good and the fuses are not burned out. It seems to be a brake light switch failure.

The contact owns a 2006 hyundai tiburon. The contact stated the tires would have to be replaced every 15,000 miles or the vehicle would not be able to have an alignment performed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer several times for diagnosis but they were always unable to find a failure. The manufacturer was notified and asked for arbitration but offered no assistance. The vehicle had not been repaired. The vin was unavailable. The failure mileage was 15,000 and the current mileage was 86,000.

Ever since i purchased my 2006 hyundai tiburon in march 2006, i have had an alignment problem. My car always pulled right. After spending money for alignment new tires, and rims a friend informed me of a service bulletin. I went to a dealer service department and had corrected my vehicle per the service bulletin.according to the national highway traffic safety administration (nhtsa) website, nhtsa item number 10015876, hyundai issued a service bulletin number 0550001, for ?four wheel alignment ?ex cam xr camber angle adjusting bolts.?this has still not fixed my problem. So far i have spent for four alignments, six new tires, and my vehicle only has 16'000 miles. Please ask hyundai to fix the alignment problem properly and also reimburse us for our expenses.

I purchased a new 2006 hyundai tiburon in february 2006. I have had an alignment problem ever since i bought it. My car has always pulled right. We have purchased new tires and alignments every six months and just recently had a bolt kit put on it also. I went to a dealer service department and had them look at my car after i had just had it aligned and had tires put on. The car was still pulling to the right. They put it on an alignment machine and said that nothing should be wrong withit because it was showing as being aligned. I have filed complaints with both the ftc and the bbb auto line. Please ask hyundai to fix the alignment problem properly and also reimburse us for our expenses.

I have a 2006 hyundai, tiburon gt with the 2.7 litre v-6 and 5 speed manual transmission. After shifting from 1st to 2nd gear, the car jerks (like when you 1st learn to drive a manual) on several occasions i have came very close to being rear ended when this happens!!! and sometimes it wont come out of 1st gear when car is stopped/parked, you have to shut the car off put it in neutral then it will go into whatever gear you want.

2006 tiburon 3 clutches in 3 months time due to slipping of clutch .

The contact owns a 2006 hyundai tiburon.while driving 25 mph, the vehicle accelerated without the accelerator pedal being depressed.the check engine indicator illuminated on the instrument panel.while at a stop, the vehicle performed as if it would accelerate.the acceleration returned to normal within five minutes after the accelerator pedal was depressed.the failure occurred on seven different occasions.the manufacturer was not notified and the vehicle was not diagnosed.the vin was not provided.the failure mileage was 72,000.
