The airbag light came on while driving. Has remained on since. I am terrified that if i were to get into an accident the airbags would fail to operate. Took it to mechanic and i was told that a sensor may be bad and to take to dealership.
Air bag light appeared on and remained on the dashboard until the vehicle was turned off. The driver took the vehicle to the dealer for analysis, and mechanic noticed connector wire underneath seat needed replacement.1999 hyundai sonata air bag light appeared on dash and remain illuminated until vehicle was shut off.vehicle was taken to the dealer where the connector wire underneath the seat was reconnected.repair has not corrected problem.*mr

Hyundai sonata.consumer writes in regards to vehicle engine issues.the consumer stated she was on the express way, when she stepped on the accelerator, the vehicle shut off.the consumer learned there was a recall on the engine. However,it is on back order.
