2018 hyundai sonata was in motion, with a speed of approximately 20 miles per hour, when a vehicle in front of the hyundai sonata stopped suddenly and the 2018 hyundai sonata rear ended the other vehicle. The 2018 hyundai sonata's airbags did not deploy. Days prior to the motor vehicle accident, the the owner discovered the driver's side seatbelt would not retract to create tension after initial application to secure seatbelt however, tension of the seatbelt was identified with application of the brakes, while leaning forward, and while 2018 hyundai sonata was in motion. Concern is the fact the airbag did not deploy appropriately during a front end collision while in motion at approximately 20 miles per hour; possibly related to nhtsa action number ea19001, april 19, 2019, regarding the'air bag acu electrical overstress' that is currently open andunder investigation. See pictures attached.

Car will not start when key turned in ignition with no sound when the weather is under 30 degrees.had it in the dealer last week and they could not find the problem. Still happening so its back in the dealer for 3 consecutive days and i cannot talk with anyone in the service department.phone just rings then cuts off.have done research and found other 2018 sonata es owners with the same problem and thesolution has been the ignition starter and solenoid.when replaced the starting problem was solved.three days now and have not heard form the hyundai repair shop in bowie, md.still have my car.such inefficiently with mechanics now days.

They have caused me tons of money parts jumps travel time loss of work and do not care or reimburse me the car sits x time won't start again without jump i sent numerous emails asking my yearly receipt all i've paid still not given it to me

I took my 2018 hyundai sonta se in for its first oil change with 3564 miles on it. They did a computer update as part of a recall. I drove less than ( miles from the dealership, went to pull out from a stop light. It started miss firing and the check engine light started flashing. I went back to the dealer. They said it had a code and tgey had to call hyundai to find out what to do. They gave me a loner and told me the wiring harness had too much interference/static in it and they had to order a new one. Very hard to believe a computer update would cause the wiring harness to go bad.
The contact owns a 2018 hyundai sonata. While driving 60 mph, the vehicle became sluggish, decelerated, and failed to accelerate above 40 mph. In addition, the check engine indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to napleton's valley hyundai (4333 ogden ave, aurora, il 60504, (630) 851-2500) where it was diagnosed that the wire harness needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and case number: 15704477 was provided. The failure mileage was 19,000. The vin was not available.
Check engine light came on;engine error code 1326. Car began stalling. Got it to dealer who knew it would need a new wiring harness possibly a new engine. This is dangerous will get someone killed. This happened right after exiting the highway pulling onto the service road.
I was exiting the freeway and lost power, could not accelerate, blinking engine came on and on my screen it said "a possible condition with you engine control system has been detected. A full system check recommended to be done when convenient. Please contact you local dealership for an appointment" i was able to get to an area and have it towed. This could of been very scary and dangerous if i had still been on the freeway doing 70! i could not have driven it, it was missing and wouldn't get above 20-30 mph. I had the knock sensor software update done at the dealer the week prior to this happening. The dealer is saying the wiring harness needs replaced and will not be available until the end of the month! many on here have waited months i hope that is not the case. I've read numerous complaints on here and other sites that this is happening after the update. My car seemed fine before they did the update. Some people need new engines! how do i know that my engine doesn't have damage, i assume that hyundai knows something since with the sensor update they extended my 100k warranty to 120k. It said the sensor is to help catch possible rod bearing wear and extends warranty must mean they expect engines to have problems! what is going on here and why isn't there any official recall? my car only has 20k i don't expect this kind of problem. I leased cars for many years but since i'm close to retiring i bought this wish i was still leasing so i could get out from under this in 2 years!
Entertainment screen turns off after a while and will reset or i have to tap it and make sure it goes back on and does this over and over at times. Smoke comes out exhaust when passing a car sometimes
My 2018 sonata will not start when temp drops below 20 deg f.it has happened 3 times this winter and when it warms back up to 40 to 50 degree it will start. When i turn the key on all the lights on the dash light up like normal. I can move hear selector and turn wheel. But the starter will not engage nothing is heard not a click or a shirt.is this common problem?
Car has keyless start. Will not start in temps below 20 degrees f. Has happened 4x in 2 weeks. Car is 8 mos old / less than 6k miles. 1st 3 times eventually started by running engine. The warning lights that show are charging system (ran itself down to 57% battery this time); engine oil pressure and mil light. The immobilized indicator is on but then goes off. The tank is full of gas. The blue link app can't remotely start the car. It states that the request was not processed.
The contact owns a 2018 hyundai sonata. While exiting the interstate at 60 mph, the vehicle went into limp mode, jerked, and failed to accelerate. In addition, the check engine warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was towed to auffenberg hyundai (located at 1300 central park dr, o'fallon, il 62269, (618) 622-9001) where it was diagnosed that the nox sensor failed and needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the vehicle was repaired for the third time. The contact also stated that the technician reset the computer, the wiring harness was replaced, and the nox sensor was cleaned; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was also taken to an unknown dealer in tx, but the failure code could not be recreated. The dealer reset the computer and replaced the nox sensor, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified and provided case number: 15894913. The approximate failure mileage was 15,000.
On five separate occasions while driving on the highway the vehicle will loose power and ability accelerate with a flashing engine light. These incidents have almost caused me to be rear ended three times because you are not able to accelerate above 60mph in rush hour traffic on a busy interstate and the ability just stops quickly with no warning. The vehicle also has been having the rpms drop to 0 and shoot back up while braking, and while driving it is tough to accelerate and then you will feel a noticeable 'kick' and the rpms will shoot up drastically before it will accelerate. I have had 2 software updates done, a new wire harness, knock sensor cleaning and a knock sensor replacement. The engine code is always the same 1326.
June 2019, at about 11,500 miles took car in for an oil change and was told due to a recall, a software update needed to be done. At about 13,500 miles, engine light came in, car was jerking in motion on highway and lost power. Car would not accelerate last 62 mph. Car was serviced and block sensor wire harness was replaced. Car was returned and again while in highway engine light came on, lost power, car was jerking while child was in the car and while car was in motion. Car was serviced and block sensor was replaced. At about 18k miles, engine light came on while on highway and again with child in the car and car lost power and also was jerking while in motion. Car was serviced and engine replaced. 3000 miles later, again while in the highway, engine light came on, car lost power and was jerking and would not accelerate. Car was serviced and the following day, while on the expressway in chicago, the engine light came on and the car lost power and was jerking hard while in motion. Car was towed to dealership in rockford il. After the 4th attempt to repair, lemon law claim was filed with hyundai motor america which they denied due to mileage. This car isunsafe to drive. When it loses power there is no warning, no brake lights come on to notify cars behind, and while in the busy expressway in chicago was very dangerous. Also dangerous to have children in this vehicle. Hyundai motor america refuses to do anything but repairs and is ignoring the dangerousness this problem. This occurred all 5 times while the car was in motion. The code that reads for this is 1326 per the service records.
"multiple warning lights are coming on the dash for abs failure."cause: 5891r00 hydraulic module assembly replaced. "scan test codes c1741, c2402, c1360 diag system. Line case number 2019080600434 perform voltage and ground test per tech line found abs hydraulic unit internal failure, replaced abs hydraulic unit, perform all calibrations and variant coding clear codes, reset adaptives. Problems of yellow light coming on on dash was during accelerations and turning cruise control on
I was driving my car at about 45mph on my way to work on a highway road and out of no where it jerked and the check engine light started flashing. Car would not accelerate above 2,000 rpms. When the car jerked, it was so sudden it injured my lower back. My back has been very sore since this incident. I then took to dealer and they said it was a known issue and hyundai had not recalled my specific car. Dealer was able to replicate the issue. The cleared the check engine light and sent me on my way. One mile down the road exact same thing happened. Car is currently at their shop with no eta of repair.
While driving my vehicle at nearly 70 mph on the freeway, my car suddenly felt like i hit a brick wall and my check engine light came on and began flashing. I was then unable to accelarate past 55 and felt my car had a very sluggish response when stepping on the gas pedal. I was nearly hit by another car because there was no warning (break lights) when my car immediately slowed down. I then had to have my car towed 50 miles from where i was to the dealership near my home. When i brought in my car they said they had anothercar with the same exact issue. I called after my car had been there for approximately three days to get a status update and they said they still didn't know what was causing the issue, but that a third vehicle had now been brought in for the same issue.today a week later, i called to get an update and the other two vehicles they are fixing with a new wiring harness; however mine they stilll are unsure what the issue is. This is now the third issue i've had with my car in less than 13,000 miles. Previously my car was having trouble starting the dealer said everything was fine. Also my front running light burned out at nearly 7k miles.
This car has a mind of it on when i turn on heat the radio station goes static very bad engine light keep coming on go to dealership they keep on reset instead of fixing it yesterday my starter burn out .just out the blue with no warning sign it was going out
I was one of the first people to drive off with this 2018 sonata 2.0t trim in ending of 2017. Fast foward to now, i have been having electrical, lighting and engine problems. When driving at night, it is hard to see what's 30 feet from you on the ground because there's some parts that the light doesn't illuminate very well. When i have my car's interior lights on auto meaning to turn on, whenever i open the driver's door, it doesn't turn on. Sometimes my headlamps won't turn on neither, when i press the unlock button from my keys. Couple of months back and still is happening to this day my cars engine will start up funny or start up a couple of seconds late after pushing the start button. It even happens when i let my car sit for a day without driving. I've been to the dealer now and told them about the issue with the interior lights and i am waiting on them to get me some new lights for the interior (pretty sure that's not the problem). I know now that it's something electrical seeing all these comment/issues left on here. I paid too much to have this happening to my car. Maybe i should of just stuck with japanese smh. Help please.
On 03/23/2019, when i was leaving a parking lot my car started to hesitate and would not rev up.i just turned out the parking lot when this happened.message came on stated it need to be serviced. At the same time the engine light came on.i was not able to press the accelerator because it would jump like crazy.i was able to get back to the parking lot safely.i have been in a rental for a month now and as of 04/23/2019 i was told the part is on back order. The wiring harness and the computer has to be replaced, but the tech stated since the car went into limp mode the engine will need to be replaced.i was told the part will be in about 3 to 6 months.if the wiring harness does not work god only know how many more months it will take for a new engine to arrive.this car was only 9 months old but now 10 months old with one of the months being in the shop waiting for repairs.

The vehicle was towed to titus-will hyundai (255 carriage loop sw, olympia, wa 98502, (888) 287-9396) where it was diagnosed that the engine and wiring harness needed to be replaced; however, the parts were on backorder. Since the year 2017 when using a portable audio device connected to the power outlet the system turns on and off.drivers fog light been repaired twice in july 2018.left fog bulb been removed previously installed found burned grease was added to socket grease was also put on sensor on driver door because radio system was staying on after turning vehicle off, closing driver door and after clicking the alarm to lock door radio was still playing. Driver brake light had to be replaced. September 2018 removed and replaced the fog lamp/drl assembly the socket for the bulb melted, causing the plastic to warp and the connector with new bulb would not lock in.now the wipers are bad. I'm also having other problems with the brakes and gas mileage but because it can not be detected i'm been told it's nothing wrong with it.just like when i told them it was something going with the lights but it was nothing they could do. No i'm not a mechanic but i know that i'm not supposed to have all these problems with brand new 2018 model i didn't have do this much repair on use car. I been complaints about this car since i bought it and they just been giving me the run around telling like the gas mileage reading is not going to accurate you sometimes have to just estimate or things go out. I have two hyundai sonata the difference is one just another color and i'm not having all these issues with it.at least not yet.

I was driving began my sonata in moderate to heavy traffic.without warning the vehicle began lurching. I was unable to control it. The hyundai had a mind of its own. I got the "check engine" light on & some message on the screen that i could not read because i was driving. I pulled off the road & had the car towed to a hyundai dealer. Upon return of the car, the dealer explained that hyundai took control of the car as a "safety precaution" for the engine. This is an unsafe safety precaution. They not i controlled the car.

My daughter was driving on the highway when the car started to buck and wouldn't accelerate.the check engine light came on and she pulled off the highway.she called hyundai and they told her not to drive the car and to have it towed to a dealership.we were then told by hyundai that this is a known problem.they installed a knock sensor wiring harness and said they hope that does the trick but it could need a whole new engine.expected repair time is 6 weeks since parts are on backorder.we have since spoken to several dealerships as well as consumers and there are so many complaints that some people have been without their cars for months.
Had oil changed on 1/24/2019, they did the ecm update for the knocks senser and afterwards on the way home the car went into limp mode and check engine light came on. I also received an email from hyundai blue link saying that an engine component had failed. Took back to dealership and they gave me a loaner. They said they would have to hear back from hyundai in ca?? sounds like nobody knows what is going on??

I was driving in another city and my car went into limp mode. I had it towed to nearby dealer and they said i was low in oil, after having it changed an month before. They did oil consumption test and found it to be 1 quart per 1000 miles and left there and 2 months later had another consumption test done after seeing my car was one in the class action on engine and bearings. They found this one to be 1.1 qts per 1000 miles. Dealer said no way will they send info to get a new engine under warranty. A qt a 1000 miles seems very excessive. Dealer said that you need to be at 1.5 qt per 1000 which would be almost no oil when i go have an oil change. The vehicle is only 3 years old and 100000 miles. This seems like too much oil to be burnt. And they know they have engine issues and will not rectify
I took the car for his first oil change and they applied a recall "software update" right after going out driving in the highway the engine started stalling not going more that 22mph, check engine on and problem in screen saying to return to dealer. I did right after and they said it was the engine wiring harness.. They game me a rental car because the harness is not in "stock" so lets see how long it takes..i just noticed there is a lot of the same problem reported to this car with the same problem. 4221 miles brand new sel+ model...
Dealer installed download #953 pursuant to a hyundai recall. Afterwards the car went into "limp" mode as if there was a problem, and cannot be driven. Dealer does not know how to fix this, and is holding my car and waiting for hyundai in california to come up with one. Mine was second car that morning that this happened to.
The contact owns a 2018 hyundai sonata. The contact stated while driving 55 mph, the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the change the oil was changed every 3,000 miles instead of ever 3,500. The contact stated that there was no oil leak found. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 37,291.

On friday, may 31, 2019, while driving home from work, i noticed my vehicle began to shake while driving.(car has 14k miles) i called gossett hyundai at covington pike and was told it was probably a rotor or a spark plug and to bring it in saturday morning. Saturday morning, while driving to the dealership, the bluelink lit up saying my car needed to be serviced.i drove the vehicle to gossett hyundai at mt. Moriah.after going back and forth (in front of the tech) they agreed to run a diagnostic (because i told them i was worried about driving my car to the covington pike location), and the tech informed me that he was a tech and he could run the diagnostic.after running the diagnostic, i was told that one of my cylinders was not firing.after some period of time, they located an ignition coil in the parts room and replaced it.the car still was not running correctly, i was informed that the car needed a spark plug but they wouldn't have one until tuesday, june 4, 2019.after the dealership received the spark plug and installed it (i guess?), the car was still shaking and not running correctly.sometime june 5 or 6th, they called hyundai manufacturing and have been receiving instruction from the manufacturer directly to run leak tests.i was informed that they also used a camera to look down in the cylinder and that it has 'scarring' which could be from fluid getting inside?i have also been told that it is probable that my car will need a complete new engine.it has been 2 weeks and the dealership is working closely with the manufacturer to see what needs to be done.
Everytime i acceleratemy suv makes a very loud grinding / ? noises and sometimeswhen i slow from accelerating.talked with hyundai mechanicthat said their may be a engine problem.only had it 1 month. I am afraid that it will become very dangerousto drive it.
I had a recall performed on my car. 'hyundai campaign 953 product improvement '. 10 miles after the recall was performed my car went into limp mode and is barely driveable. The recall is supposed to place the vehicle in limp mode due to rod bearing wear. My car has 5,560miles on it and the engine is already failing.
My 2018 sonata went to the dealer for the champaign 953 software update, for engine knock sensor enhancement . After the update was completed the car immediately went into to protection mode causing the car not to accelerate when pulling out of the dealer onto a 4 lane highway, nearly causing 4 people to injured.i have been told by the dealer and by hyundai that they have never heard of this happing before, but there are numerous complaints about this same instance happing to people on complaint sights.hyundai needs to male it mandatory that these cars get test driven after the updates before turning the cars back over to the owners.it has now been 3 weeks since our sonata went in for the 953 update, we still have not received our car back, the dealer states they are waiting on a wiring harness to come in.so they are performing a software update to detect engine noise related to the knock sensor, because metal debris are coming off the internal motor parts causing failure and fires, that causes the car to go into protection mode. When a car immediately goes into protection mode after the 953 update is done, they say its a bad wiring harness picking up to much noise.isnt that a sigh of engine wear that they want to cover up with replacing a harness that will not detect the noise.it does not take a engineer to see t.hat this is a major cover up

Driving and engine light started flashing and i could not keep up with the speed limit as the car would only go about 20 mph.the car says "possible condition with your engine control system has been detected"car was in motion on city street.
The contact owns a 2018 hyundai sonata. While driving approximately 55 mph, the vehicle shut off without warning. The vehicle restarted itself and would not exceed 20 mph. The vehicle was driven to the contact's residence and later towedto johnson hyundai of cary (919-439-2059, located at 5000 old raleigh rd, cary, nc 27511) where it was diagnosed that there was a knocking sound in the engine and the engine may need to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and ordered the dealer to perform more diagnostic tests. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 22,000.
I purchased the 2018 hyundai sonata 2.0t on 8/27/18.after we were able to experience different driving conditions and situations, my husband and i noticed that (1) at night, while driving on the highway, the windshield appeared very dark as if it was heavily tinted, and making it difficult to see the road.(2) when driving on highway or road, with normal beam headlights, we noticed that the line of demarcation from headlight to dark road was very close to the front of the car.the reason given by the maintenance dept was that this was so cars in front wouldn't be blinded by the headlight. To us, it seemed that the headlights were aimed too low.i should be able to see more than 20 feet in front of my car.we were told that nothing could be done.also, when making a turn, the area opposite the direction of the turn is completely dark because of the way the headlights work on a turn.this is extremely dangerous-should someone decide to walk there or if there is an animal, i will not be able to see anything.again i was told there was nothing they could do.(3)my husband put rain-x on all the windows of the car.it worked on every window except the windshield.we thought there was some sort of coating placed by the manufacturer.i was told no there was not.they could not understand why the rain-x didn't take.they told me that they spent quite a bit of time "scraping the windshield", but nothing came off.we still do not know why it should do that. (4) i noticed. Whether i was driving in smart or sport mode, their is an annoying hesitation when i step on the gas.when the stoplight turns green, it takes several seconds before the car is able to move at normal speed.we were told that they received lots of complaints about that, but no offer for a fix.
The contact owns a 2018 hyundai sonata. The contact took the vehicle to fuccillo hyundai of syracuse (2601 erie blvd e, syracuse, ny 13224, (315) 445-7900) for a 4,000 and 8,000 mile check up. The dealer performed a computer check on the vehicle. The following day, the vehicle began hesitating and sputtering. The contact managed to drive vehicle home with the check engine indicator illuminating. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer and a loaner vehicle was provided. The dealer diagnosed that the vehicle may need a new engine and was waiting to hear back from the manufacturer. A month passed and the contact called the manufacturer. The manufacturer stated that the delay was caused by a large amount of people having the same failure. The contact researched the failure online and requested a buy back. After a few days, the manufacturer called back and offered a repurchase review and promised to call back. The contact received a call back and was informed that a repurchase review would take another month to review. The manufacturer stated that they needed to conduct research to see if it fell under therepurchase review or lemon law. The contact was still waiting to hear back and contacted his state's attorney general's office. The failure mileage was 8,087.
While driving 30mph approaching a red light, my 2018 sonata cut off once i came to a complete stop at the red light. I was in city limits approaching a hwy intersection. The check engine light came on and the car restarted after one attempt. Once the vehicle re started it was sluggish, sputtering and would not accelerate over 20mph... I made it home safely nonetheless. I left the car parked for approx 10 mins and it restarted easily. I then drove it directly to the local dealer where the car was purchased.i was told the car stopped because the engine system required an update. The update was completed and i drove the car home. The next day or maybe two days later i received a letter from the dealership saying my car required a free recall and to schedule a date to have the car serviced. Over the phone i was told something along the lines of the engine harness needed to be replaced. When the car's engine cut off in traffic i was en route to picking up my toddler. I no longer felt safe driving the vehicle and i traded the car in and cut my losses, which were substantial. Other problems i noticed in the time i had the vehicle were that the back passenger seat belt locked or anchored if i leaned forward slightly and low visibility at night through the front winshield.
2018 hyundai sonata sport. Purchased vehicle 03/20/2021 and it has been in the shop 5 times for the same issue. Car starts to smoke and make a loud knocking noise, when checking the oil, it appears to have no oil in the engine at all. Every single time they have changed the oil and replaced it and within a 1,000 miles the oil has completely dissolved in the engine. They performed a consumption test and stated that they did a top engine cleaning for the combustion and that it should not happen again and if it did that they would reach out to hyundai to start the process of replacing the engine. Took it back at the 1,000 mile mark and they stated that it was fine, but after only a few weeks to a month the car started smoking and knocking again, took it back and yes the engine was bone dry again no oil at all on the dipstick. This vehicle has been in the shop more than i was able to drive it. The oil light keeps jumping on and off and the dealer is aware of this issue and they stated that the manufacturer is aware of this issue as well. But it seems that they are refusing to rectify the issue with a new engine and just keep patching the problem, that i would have to keep taking back every 1,00 miles for a consumption test. The oil ight was present when they sold me the vehicle but the dealership stated that they had performed an oil change and it needed to be reprogrammed but that did not fix the problem.
The contact owns a 2018 hyundai sonata. While driving approximately 15 mph, the vehicle would not accelerate properly and the check engine indicator illuminated and continued to flash. The contact indicated that the vehicle was serviced by brown daub hyundai (1650 butler st, easton, pa) the previous day for an engine computer update. The vehicle was towed back to the dealer, but the cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 3,050.
Purchased new 2018 sonata sel model in california. While driving, the transmission starts to hard downshift when the brake is applied.i found out that this hard downshifting and jolting/thumping of engine and transmission only occurs when coming to a stop at speeds between 10 to 15mph.it can be described as follows, after the brake pedal has been gently applied and lightly released but then the car itself applied its brake again.it terrifies the driver's driving conditions, mentally and physically.
The car buck going threw lights it had no power. It would bog down when you lease expect it. This doesn'talways happen. But once happen at 1:30am. The light been on for awhile. I go threw a green light the car went lip and the semi laid on his horn at 1:30am. Because he didn't know i been having this problem for months.the next morning i went to the dealer just as they got there no appointment i just walked in. I was pissed. They changed the knock switch.it almost worked for two weeks.
The oil consumption is out of control for their vehicles i've had more oil changes that i've ever done on a vehicle i've done oil construction tests and they always say it's just at the 1 quart that they allow who's is bull i've checked my oil cold and it's hardly on the stick and the oil light has come on numerous times i'm no genus but i do know it's more than a quart low when your oil light comes on. At 1,100 miles it was 2.5 quarts low and i was forced to do another oil change when i only had 1,100 miles on this one. The first pic i've attached is cold oil level at 1,100 miles after oil change. The car only has 53k on it and i want to know how many times do we have to do oil consumption tests to get it fixed under the lifetime engine replacement and forget about the roadside assistance from hyundai they tow 20 miles that's it and the rest is on you how is that fair when it's not your problem to begin with.
On 2 different days the car killed on the highway.both times the hyundai service dept. Looked at it. The first time, they said the software update that was worked on a few months previous, had a glitch in it.the second time they said they didn't know why it happened.while driving the rpms will race up but the car doesn't move much. They said it didn't do that when they drove it. Also since the first software update was done , if i drive 80mph (on the interstate hwy.)the seats shake.
I went into purchasing dealer for first oil change at 5100 miles, they flashed computer and loaded update hyundai campaign 953 product improvement.about 50 miles after the recall was performed my car went into limp mode and is barely driveable. Car was also hesitating, and bucking a bit. Took it back to dealer they stated the code didn't apply to my car and flashed it again.it again went into limp mode after 50 miles or so. The recall is supposed to place the vehicle in limp mode due to rod bearing wear. My car has 5,400 miles on it and it now at a different dealer.got information from that dealer regarding a tbs #19-01-002 and looks like engine replacement or wiring harness.
The contact owned a 2018 hyundai sonata. The contact was alerted by the police and fire departments at 4:00am that her vehicle caught fire. The vehicle was destroyed. The fire department extinguished the fire. A police report was filed. The contact wanted to obtain a fire report to verify if the fire originated from the engine. The insurance company was not notified. The contact later received notification of the manufacturer's service campaign number: 953 (ecm & cluster update-engine monitoring logic product improvement). Rogers auto group chicago (2720 s michigan ave, chicago, il 60616, (312) 620-1340) was contacted and was waiting for the manufacturer to provide guidance within 48 hours. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was not available.
6/5/21 2018 hyundai sonata - less than 20k miles turning left into parking lot at very low speed car completely lost all power and brakes - all dashboard lights etc went out no warning of any kind - nothing evenly remotely like this has happened before was able to glide into parking spot and stop but only with extreme pressure on brake key was still in on position - put car in park, set parking brake, turned key to off car started again and was able to drive about 1/4 mile back home immediately called dealer from whom we purchased and had car towed no diagnosis as of yet
I want to have all changed after the oil was changed the engine light came on in the car i wanted to stall
While driving car on an interstate highway engine power suddenly declined and vehicle had no pickup. I was unable to keep up with the highway traffic,i had to tow the car to the dealership for repairs. I was informed by the hyundai service department that my car required a computer software upgrade to correct the condition. Apparently they are aware of this problem but there are no recalls concerning this problem.
I turned on my car and the malfunction indicator light turned on my dash board. I put the car in reverse and ignored it. Kept driving. The car turned off completely when i was turningin in a busy intersection. I turned it on again and it didn't want to excelerate.
I have a 2018 hyundai sonata. I bought it on 12/26/2018. I now have 4,000 miles on it. Last month the dealership performed the computer software upgrade. Today i got a message: a possible condition with your engine control system has been detected with your 2018 sonata [xxx] on 03/30/2019 at 04:24 pm est. A full system check is recommended to be done when convenient. The car feels like it is going to die. Is this a common problem? update 04/01/2019well i just got back in from taking my 2018 hyundai sonata to the dealership. They informed me after running some test they were going to have to replace the wiring harness. That'll take about a week before they get it. In the mean time they gave me a rental from enterprise which was a 2018 hyundai elantra .'information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).
I own this 2019 sonata since 1/16/19. Was runing good at the first. But couple times start showing the engine light for seconds. But on april sunday 14 2019 my car shows the engine light and the tire control stabilizer at the same time then the car start shaking lossing speed, the brakes getting hard and power steering. . lucky i went at 10mph to 15mph.the vehicle will be placed in a temporary engine protection mode with reduced power and acceleration. No speed no acceleration then i park in a parking lot for towing at the nearest hyundai dealership. Technitia found code( p0638 ) active code and (p211935002a00 throttle body carbon cleaning- adjustment and found rubber grommet stuck in the throttle body roved grommet. This cause trouble with the intake and injectors making the car limp and state in protection mode. I have lucky i wasn't in the freeway at 55,60 to 65 mph. O can be a different risk and dangerous for me and others drivers. Please take this note seriously before something worse can happen to others drivers . Thank you so much.
In feb 2020 my sonata went into safe mode after exiting highway and dealer ended up replacing "knock sensor".in december 2020 my engine "stuttered" throwing me forward as if i had hit brakes hard.no warning lights or messages occurred and after a few seconds car acted normally mostly.a few days later after exiting highway again the engine warning light (orange) came on along with error message "possible condition with engine control system" has been detected.car did not go into "safe mode" and seemed to be operating normally.i contacted dealer who assured me safe to drive over hundred miles back to dealership in this condition to check. I drove back from east coast fl to west coast fl to turn car in.i believe engine issue experienced is related to the theta engine issue and repair would be covered under settlement.dealershipdisagrees and has indicated issue is with fuel pumps (both are being replaced) and charging me $2300.
January 2019, vehicle to dealer for recall for engine failure.march 2019, went to start vehicle.flashing engine light.could not get above 2000 rpm.dealer advised to tow vehicle.dealer advised car is in limp mode.dealer advised possible engine replacement.two weeks later, car is still not repaired.now they are possibly replacing 'harness'.advised that they would have vehicle another two weeks.
The contact owns a 2018 hyundai sonata. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to hyundai of kirkland dealer (11706 124th ave ne, kirkland, wa 98034, (425) 821-6611) where a software update was completed. The contact stated that when leaving the dealer while driving at 40 mph, the vehicle stalled as the check engine and the engine control system failure detected warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle speed automatically decreased to 10 mph. The contact stated they slowly drove back to the dealer, where it was determined that a new engine was needed. However, a week later he was informed by the dealer that the wire harness had failed and needed to be replaced.the vehicle was repaired. The contact had spoken to the manufacturer via email and was provided a case number: 15658545. The approximate failure mileage was 3,713.
This car has a mind of it on when i turn on heat the radio station goes static very bad engine light keep coming on go to dealership they keep on reset instead of fixing it yesterday my starter burn out .just out the blue with no warning sign it was going out
The contact owns a 2018 hyundai sonata. The contact stated that the check engine warning indicator illuminated shortly after the vehicle was purchased on march 5, 2019. Hyundai of kennesaw (2878 barrett lakes blvd, kennesaw, ga 30144, (678) 809-6990) diagnosed that the knock sensor harness needed to be replaced. The vehicle was still at the dealer receiving further testing. The manufacturer had not issued a recall for the 2015-2018 models, excluding them from nhtsa campaign number: 17v226000 (engine and engine cooling). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 5,000.
I had an oil change on friday 1/18/2019 the next day i'm driving on the interstate using cruise control and my car cut my cruise control off and the check engine light started flashing and my car would not go over 20mph even with the pedal all the way down to the floor. The screen in my car popped up a message that said the engine control system had some type of failure. 2 days in at the dealership and no one knows what the problem is. It's not even a year old, idles fairly hard, and now won't accelerate.
The projected angle of the headlights do not project out far enough when driving this vehicle.the headlights only project out one vehicle in front of the driver, leaving a vast amount of darkness in front of the driver in the hyundai sonata.this is a safety hazard for the owner of this vehicle.
The lock for the trunk , open automaticly , it stay lock and wont open....
Distinct shadows with notches on top affecting night vision with low beam headlights on. Very distracting especially when turning.
I just bought this car and the low-beam headlights are set way too low and there is a definite line between the lit and unlit upper area. . it is not possible to see more than 1/2 of a city block ahead. It is a great concern to me because i could easily hit or run over something that appears to late to react to. I also live in an area with a very high number of deer accidents. I absolutely need to be able to see better at night. The high-beams are very good.

Dim headlights are very weak, not aimed correctly or poor design. Not enough candle power to see dividing lines on highway. With bright lights things are good. I have talked with 3 other people who have sonata's, different year models, they have the same complaint. Not safe! i would like to know how this high safety item passed the ntsb!!!!
The headlights on my 2018 hyundai sonata limited have condensation in them. It has been there from the day i bought the car on 10/1/18. That day the dealership took pictures to send to hyundai and 1 month later replaced the headlights. But the new headlights were worse than the original and the day after they were installed i returned to the dealership where the parts manager took more pictures for hyundai. I spoke with someone from hyundai directly who is my contact regarding this problem. I was advised hyundai is trying to figure out the problem and while they do i am still waiting for new headlights. I have found other cars in my area with the same problem. At night the moisture covers a good portion of the glass giving a distortion to the projected headlight beam.i feel this is a safety issue not just during good weather, but especially in bad weather.
Defective headlights.a black projection protrudes down into the middle of each headlight in the line of sight. Very, very distracting. Must use hi-beams at all times to eliminate this sight hazard, which then can become a danger to oncoming vehicles. Hyundai says "sorry about that, nothing we can do". They should at least be required to offer a replacement headlight, which would eliminate this hazard.
The low beam headlights are useless can't see 30 feet in front of vehicle when turning can't see anything or limited in front of you. Have to drive with high beams on in order to see. Dealer says headlights adjusted correctly. There is definitely a problem. The vehicle is not safe to drive at night causing this to be a danger to drivers and pedestrians. When turning it's impossible to see in order to make safe turn.
From the time of purchase in june 2018, the low beam headlights are aimed very low and project only 15 to 20 feet in front of the car. When traveling on dark roads, it allows for no reaction time to any hazards, such as animals our pedestrians. Hyundai claims it is designed to not blind oncoming drivers, but this poses a danger to the occupants of my car and anyone that may be near the car.
When driving at night with low beam headlights there is very distinct shadows in front of car. It is very distracting and hyundai tsb 18-be-003 says it is normal with led and instructs dealers to nottry adjustment
There is a black line across the road with two bumps in it when you are driving at night.it also seems that there is limited field of vision compared to my other car.also the headlights fog up inside occasionally. Brought it in to dealer, they said nothing is wrong.it occurs when driving the car, when it is stationary you can see the black bumps when shining the lights against a wall.
The headlights on my 2018 hyundai sonata show two black notches and a black line about 30 feet in front of the car in low light conditions.it is very distracting and dangerous as these shadows dart across your path as you make turns or go up hills. Hyundai service could see the notches, but said "the system is working within specifications at this time".something needs to be done before someone is killed because of these unsafe lights.
The contact owns a 2018 hyundai sonata. While driving 50 mph, the headlights flashed and the brake and reverse lights went out. The contact could not see the road and smelled an abnormal burning odor. The vehicle was taken to stanley parma hyundai (7115 brookpark rd, parma, oh 44129, (216) 749-2525) where it was diagnosed that the knock sensor needed replacing. The vehicle was repaired five times; however, the failure recurred each time. The vehicle was then taken to elyria hyundai (845 leona st, elyria, oh 44035, (440) 374-8700) where it was diagnosed that the computer needed an update. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and provided a case number. The failure mileage was 70,000.
Headlight lens has a projection in the middle of the lens that interferes with and is very distracting to the lighted field of vision.hyundai mechanics have tiold me they've gotten many complaints from drivers, but hyundai refuses to correct it.i filed a formal complaint with hyundai, and they gave a very dubious and weak excuse for the defect. They responded in writing to me "the black half-moon triangular image is designed to prevent glare to the vehicle traveling in the opposite direction. Hyundai motor america is unable to replace the headlamp assembly for concerns related to the half-moon/triangular shadow." this response defies logic and it appears to be an after the fact fabricated response so that they don't have tocorrect the design flaw. This flaw is obviously only observable during night driving.
I have a 2018 hyundai sonata. I took it in for service because my headlights look like they are partially shaded and each light has a notch hanging down over it. The service manager told me the lights have an anti glare system and that's how they are supposed to work! this is a very dangerous feature. When i drive at night on a dark road i can see about 15 - 2 feet in front of me. This is an accident waiting to happen. Please do something.
The contact owns a 2018 hyundai sonata. While operating the vehicle at night with the low beam headlights failed to illuminate beyond two vehicle lengths in front of the vehicle. The failure was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer and local dealer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 1,700.
The contact owns a 2018 hyundai sonata. The contact stated that the early detection, forward warning, collision warning, and automatic braking features were inoperable. The vehicle was taken to great lakes hyundai (9630 oh-14, streetsboro, oh 44241, (330) 422-1212) to be diagnosed, but the mechanic was unable to retrieve a fault code or duplicate the failure. The contact was also informed that the early warning sensors could not be re-calibrated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 300.
Throttle response: feels like the old vehicles with a flat spot in the carburetor accelerator pump.the "three second' rule applies when the throttle petal is pushed. There is a serious hesitation as the engine tends to fall flat before accelerating. Has to due with the six speed automatic transmissions duel clutch which acts as if a person were operating a standard transmission clutch. I have discussed this problem/concern several times with the service department where the vehicle was purchased. The service department indicated they receive numerous complaints. It is indicated the drivers either love the vehicle with this problem or hate. We were never told of this situation. And there is no fix for this. This situation can occur when leaving a stopped position, when turning right or left from a stopped position, accelerating up a hill in moving traffic or on a street. This all depends on the drivers reaction to the throttle pedal. When one needs to accelerate while in motion there tends to be a shuddering/stuttering of the engine. This problem has occurred shortly we purchased the vehicle in february 2018 and has been on going. I set the "when did this happen" as starting date. Can be vary concerning when entering traffic for older drivers. I cannot find any more descriptions for this situation. There are no documents at my disposal at this time. Thank you.

When accelerating from a stopped position the vehicle shudders or stutters before proper acceleration is achieved. I owned a ford fiesta that did the same thing and it turned out to be the clutch. Is that a possibility with my sonata?
I get a hev warning telling me to shutdown my car. When this happens my vehival no longer engages the gas part of my motor, the car gives me multiple distracting noises. After turning the car off and back on immediately the gasoline side of my motor is working again.. P2600 pops up on my scanner and the check engine light remains on till about 4 ignition cycles with some drive time. Almost once, and sometimes twice a day for the past three days this has been an issue.

Originally, the seat belt would lock up and not release as we were driving. No sudden stops, it would just tighten up and lock. Service dept finally replaced the entire unit (so they claim). Now when passenger pulls belt to attach we hear a clicking sound and belt locks and will not releaseand allow passenger to lean forward like the drivers belt does
2018 hyundai sonata was in motion, with a speed of approximately 20 miles per hour, when a vehicle in front of the hyundai sonata stopped suddenly and the 2018 hyundai sonata rear ended the other vehicle.
Since day of delivery two years ago, the aeb system has malfunctioned in that while driving vehicle on any road type, the brakes come on with no warning or reason, have almost been rear ended three times.dealer has never found anything wrong and insists the system functions as designed. The radar or camera systems have to have a defect. Toyota and honda have had this issue but made efforts to correct either by recalls or service bulletins. Pedestrian detection has also never worked on this vehicle..
The contact owned a 2018 hyundai sonata. While driving approximately 5 mph, the vehicle independently accelerated. The contact depressed the brake pedal, but it failed to slow down or stop the vehicle. The vehicle crashed into a palm tree. An incident report was filed, but not a police report due to the fact that there was no immediate injury. The contact suffered a sore neck and a possible whiplash. The vehicle was towed to an independent facility. Kearney mesa hyundai (4797 convoy st, san diego, ca 92111, (858) 278-7100) was contacted and a voice message was left. The manufacturer was not contacted. The cause of the failure was not determined. The approximate failure mileage was 500. Consumer stated brake pedal was pushed multiple times andshe did seek medical attention.

Rough vibration slowly coming up steering when braking to stop.could be rotors or tires. Started a few months ago.
1. Accelerator malfunctioned as i removed my foot to hit the brakes.the speed increased.when attempted to hit brakes, would not brake.the brake hardened up and car went through bank glass door and window. 2.it malfunctioned. 3. 2018 hyundai sonata. Consumer writes in regards to rusty brakes. *ldthe consumer stated the vehicle had issues start during cold weather. It would take about 15 minutes or longer for the vehicle to turn on. The battery needed to be replaced prematurely.
The contact owns a 2018 hyundai sonata. While operating the vehicle, the automatic emergency braking system malfunctioned. On several occasions, the vehicle failed to automatically stop when a second vehicle was present. The failure occurred while driving in reverse and while driving at highway speeds with the cruise control activated. The vehicle was taken to napleton hyundai glenview (1620 waukegan rd., glenview, il) and the contact was informed that the failure was normal. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 400. Consumer stated braking works when car has cruise control activated, when relying in "aeb" nothing happens. Vehicle purchase date should be on or before incident date updated 9/21/18
I had stopped my vehicle, putting emergency brake on, but still in drive. I stepped out of the car and it began to move forward on its own and i was not able to get back into the vehicle.it traveled quite a distance before running into some inanimate that caused it to stop.it was in a driveway behinds buildings and did eventually cross over a side street before stopping.i don't see why the emergency brake did not hold, even though not in park?
The contact owned a 2018 hyundai sonata. While driving approximately 35 mph, the accelerator pedal became stuck. The contact could not stop the vehicle due to the stiffness of the brake pedal. As a result, the contact crashed into the front passenger door of another oncoming vehicle. All of the air bags deployed. A police report was filed. Both drivers sustained injuries that required medical attention. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was deemed a total loss. A dealer and the manufacturer were not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000.
Everytime i acceleratemy suv makes a very loud grinding / ? noises and sometimeswhen i slow from accelerating.talked with hyundai mechanicthat said their may be a engine problem.only had it 1 month. I am afraid that it will become very dangerousto drive it.

Driving north on interstate 530 in arkansas, about 40 miles south of clinton library there was a sudden explosion of glass from the sunroof.the internal visor was open and glass began to pour into my lap, shirt and the other seats in the vehicle.i screamed in fear and pulled over to the side of the road.there were no other vehicles in front of or behind me at the time.
The outside antenna completely came off and disappeared... Not broken, but literally came loose and blew away down the interstate
I was i a parking and i opened the trunk, after that it was impossible to close it. The trunck latch failed.it has a plastic part that broke.i had to purchase a new one.
Was driving a brand new hyundai sonata 2018 vehicle for a week with 300 miles on it and was about to exit on a freeway ramp, but suddenly lost control of the steering. The vehicle had to be towed and when the mechanics at the hyundai dealership took a look at the vehicle, they were unsure of how the lower arm assembly on the front driver's side (front suspension control arm) with the ball and joint connection was disconnected, without having any scuffs/scratches on the arm assembly or front bumper if something were to have been run over, but hyundai refuses to admit any fault and disregards any possibilities of product issues and puts the blame on driver. The pictures taken show no scratches or scuff marks directly to the control arm, nor the bumper of the vehicle, which denies that a collision could have resulted in the damage, yet hyundai believes that there was a collision per the driver that caused the damage. This is a serious issue especially since it occurred while the vehicle was in motion. Have been trying to understand how this happened, but hyundai only provides vague responses to claims and questions and fails to provide any solid explanations regarding the actual issue of the lower control arm assembly and simply dictated the results of their inspection as "no issues with the braking or steering systems" when i specifically had an issue with the lower arm assembly part. Currently have an on-going case with hyundai consumer affairs (#10727408) with no helpful or accurate explanations or acknowledgment of the safety issue at hand from hyundai.

Trunk latch locking arm can break with few miles on the odometer. When the arm breaks due to it being plastic connecting to metal via a strong tension spring, the emergency trunk release lever is defeated and the trunk cannot be opened, or closed if it broke while open.
While driving crash warning, abs, track and check brakes warning lights would come on. Hyundai dealer initially reflagged eco but lights came back. Dealer had car for several days and after checking with hyundai tech center and got test codes c2402 c1741 and c1360 and system found connection at absmodule. Alleged fix was to repair abnormal connection / connector at abs module.caris hyundaisonata 2 liter turbo with 19639 miles when brought to dealer for diagnostics and repair. We have pictures of error lights on our cell phone.
I was driving on an open interstate using smart cruise control when a message popped up on the dash screen:smart cruise control disabled.radar blocked.weather conditions were dry and my car was clean.there had been no snow accumulation in my area nor any in the area in which i was driving.there were a few cars around.the car that was in front of me made an exit about a minute after the message and indicator lights appeared.the message and indicator lights returned to normal after about 5 minutes.an hour and a half later, the same message and indicator lights appeared. The sky was darker with a few flurries in the air but no accumulation.i turned off smart cruise to finish the trip.i did not experience any problems with smart cruise on the 5 hour return trip.weather conditions then were gray and raining.the trip is mostly interstate but the destination is mountainous.i made the trip several times over the last 3 years with no problems.
I was traveling on the highway with no existing problems.i drove off my intended exit when suddenly my vehicle jerked really hard, check engine light started blinking and my car started slowing down almost to a complete stop. Didn't know what to do so i just kept driving as the car kept jerking and slowing down on its own!i stop by an auto zone where the guy comes out and uses his device to find out the potential problem he says the problem seems to be the knock sensors.
I rent this car from tower rentals i paid 1300$ day before easter no one would come get it fix it i'm in queens i got money tolls and gas took to their repair shop in bronx yesterday after 4 hours they told me nothing wrong sent me home after they did 50 min inspection which it failed. The lane departure warning sound does not have adequate volume and there is no option or software adjustment to increase this volume according to hyundai corporate or my local dealer service department.with increased age our hearing ability may be less than when we were younger, mixed in with fluctuating road noise, this safety feature may not inform (audible sound notification to low) a driver of lane departure at the early desired notification time.in my opinion, this non ability to adjust the volume up or down on the lane departure safety feature is a gross engineering failure.
I can not get hyundai to give me an adequate answer
Trunk latch broke. Its a known issue by hyundai on 2017 & 2018 models.
One of my continental pure contact tires failed at highway speed at 4,926 miles. All four tires were purchased new from my dealer on 11/25/20. Mileage at that time was 47,314. On1/21/21 with an odometer reading of 52,240, one tire developed a leak at the intersection of the sidewall and tread -- there was nothing stuck in the tire indicating a puncture -- yet there was a hole in the tire. The tire could not be fixed so i had to buy a different brand tire to replace it because the tire shop did not carry continental tires. With the recent recall of many tires by continental, i am concerned that my three remaining continental tires may not be dependable. I contacted continental directly and was told that the pure contact tire in my size (215/55sr17) is not included in the recall while other sizes are included.
I bought my 2018 sonata in january 2018. I have noticed that it tends to hesitate when making turns especially right turns. This problem occurs randomly when accelerating from stop or slow motion. Last week, i slowed down to take a near 90 degree left turn. The speed limit is 25 mph on this road. There was a vehicle in front of me - so, i maintained a safe speed and distance. After taking the turn, my car skidded very suddenly as i was coming out of the curve, and it was all i could do to correct it and prevent it from hitting a concrete pillar of the freeway passing above. The road appeared dry and the car in front of me did not have any problems. While i cannot rule out the presence of black ice, i was concerned that one of the wheel may have locked up either due to hardware or software problems. I took the car to the dealer today. The service department checked out car and they did not find any problems. I am reporting this incident since i noticed that some other owner complained of engine hesitation when taking turns. Perhaps, other owners may be experiencing similar issues.
Entertainment screen turns off after a while and will reset or i have to tap it and make sure it goes back on and does this over and over at times. Smoke comes out exhaust when passing a car sometimes

We were driving the car last night on city streets and the highway, when we encountered a bad smell coming into our vehicle.we first thought it smelled like natural gas coming from the outside area we were driving, but then concluded after another 5 minutes of driving the car that it was our car that was making the bad odor or smell.i pulled off the road, and shut the engine in the car off.i looked under the hood of the car to see if anything was burning or if something looked like it was very hot.i did not detect anything wrong under the hood.the coolant was fine, and the motor oil was good.so then we got back in the car, and the smell was still there.we noticed the cell phone was sitting on the "self" charger that this car has as a feature.we took the cell phone off of this area where it charges, and noticed the top rubber area was very very warm or hot to the touch.so we concluded this had to be the area that was causing this caustic smell that we were breathing for about 15-20 minutes of driving.the top surface of this rubber pad area did not look burnt or destructed, so it must be underneath this area that whatever is recharging the cell phones, maybe a battery of some sort, is no good.we were afraid it would start a fire the smell was so strong.so after a few more minutes, without the cell phone recharging on this area, the smell started to go away.so that is why we are deducting this must be the problem area.and it could be a serious one.i drove the car today, and the "strong" smell did not come back.but you can still smell the residue smell from last night's problem that occurred.
Rough vibration slowly coming up steering when braking to stop.could be rotors or tires. Started a few months ago.
Driver states vehicle decelerated while driving, pulled off the interstate and over to side of the road vehicle caught fire in engine compartment.
I have been notified my wife's car needs the hyundai service campaign number 953 performed on her car.see below link. Https://autoservice.hyundaiusa.com/campaign953/micrositetemplate/micrositetemplatevinvalidate/3402my concern is if this software update is performed on her car what will happen when this car goes into the safety mode? if this car slows down and reduces power with no warning what may happen?what if my wife is pulling out in traffic and the car goes into the engine safety mode with oncoming traffic?i fear once the car goes into the safety mode with reduce power and no adequate warning she me be hit by another vehicle. What measures has hyundai taken to ensure a driver has adequate warning of the vehicle going into safe mode so they can get out of harms way of the flow of traffic to ensure they will not be hit before the vehicle goes into safe mode and reduces power?all i am trying to do is prevent a potential accident when this car goes into safe mode.

The low beam headlights at night have very distracting dark line and half moon dark spots that seriously hinder the driver's view of the road.there are many complaints by owners at cargurus.com. Just do a search for 2018 sonata limited healights.many have reported this to hyundai and to nhtsa but so far our complaints have fallen on deaf ears.just have some test drive at night on dark country road and see for your self.this is going to cause someone to be killed.
