Wild drive in the city if i drive over a manhole it sounds horrible what can be installed new skerkenshowbers and it still does the same thingi am a new owner of this vehicle are there any recalls on this vehiclethank you my name is [xxx].information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Air bag light is on when key is in on position. It stays on with or without person in passenger seat, in motion or parked,

The contact owns a 2007 hyundai entourage. The contact stated that as he attempted to change lanes, the vehicle abnormally accelerated. The contact was unable to stop the vehicle and crashed into a tree before rolling over. In addition, none of the air bags deployed. A police report was filed and the driver sustained injuries on the knees. The passenger sustained a concussion and had to received stitches. The vehicle was declared destroyed. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and filed a report. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and the current mileage was 32,000.

Control arms rotted out and while i was driving. I was doing 25 on a side road when the vehicle started to slide and was unstoppable. I had to put the vehicle into park while it was still moving to get it to stop. When the tow truck driver and police arrived they said the control arms rotted out and snapped. Had i made the left to go down the hill they said i would have ended up in someone's house. The car seat driver side mounts are snapped as well.

We bought a new hyundai entourage in 07 the front tire will not hold air. The key less remote entry has been replaced and is still not working. The van was in a accident involving apole. The van was going about 35 slide on ice and smashed the hole front end of the van. The airbags didn't deploy but the lightfor the airbags is on. Possibly indicating they did deploy but didn't. We think this could be all electrical. Someone for hyundai motor america will be out to look at the van in 45 days. We would like the van totaled. Due to not feeling safe with the airbags.

2007 hyundai entourage slowed for a school bus was rear ended at high speed by a pick up truck.the car is now listed as totaled.no airbag in the back of the van went off. If my daughter was in the rear back seat she easily would have been seriously injured if not dead.why didn't the airbag above her head (where she normally would have sit if she was in the car) go off?

Air bag light has come on 4 times. 1st time repair was covered under warranty. 2nd time paid over $300 to repair. 3rd time was able to fix issue by removing items from under seats. 4th time light remains on currently. After searching online many other hyundai owners have similar problems. This should be a recall issue and safety issues should not have an extra fee! unethical!!!

The contact owns a 2007 hyundai entourage. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 20v061000 (service brakes, hydraulic), 13v555000 (air bags) and 16v843000 (latches/locks/linkages) however, the parts to do the recall repairs were not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The vehicle was taken to hyundai on perryville (343 n. Perryville rd, rockford, il 61107) and was rejected to be service due to the parts not being available. The contact stated that while attempting to move from a stop sign, the vehicle made an abnormally loud noise. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but offered no assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 150,802. Parts distribution disconnect.

Airbag light has been on for a couple of years, no recall and gosh wants us to pay for diagnose and then estimate for repair. ($175.00 plus $ for repair)

For several months now the vehicle continues to display the "airbag" light on without going off. I have been to numerous mechanics who have all told the same thing that the vehicle has a manufacturer malfunction in the electronic system. All mechanics refuse to touch the vehicle due to this serious error. This light appeared without warning while the vehiclewas parked and when turned on the airbag light appeared. I am uncertain as to when. In addition, there is a very serious concern with the drivers seat where it is suppose to be welded together, has broken causing the drivers seat to rock freely while driving. This is also and clearly a manufacturer welding error that occurred while driving on an even road. There was no force or extra weight that caused this incident and also all mechanics has said this to be a manufacturer welding error cling for immediate attention that is a serious safety risk to my family and myself. The seat belts are also a safety risk as they do not function properly when fastened. Some are too tight causing uncomfortable driving and often stick into the sliding grove causing non-managability leading to possible incidents while driving. Again, mechanics have stated this is a manufacturer error which is reason we find it necessary to file this complaint with our trusted vehicle manufacturer. Thank you.

Air bag light is on when key is in on position.it stays on with or without person in passenger seat, in motion or parked,

The contact owns a 2007 hyundai entourage. While driving 55 mph and getting off an exit ramp, the vehicle suddenly accelerated, pulled to the left and became out of control. The vehicle crashed into a tree. The air bags did not deploy. The driver and passenger were injured and transported to the hospital. A police report was filed. The manufacturer stated that they would send someone to inspect the vehicle. Prior to the failure, the vehicle had not been repaired on the front suspension and steering mechanism; when the contact went to pick the vehicle up, he was told that the tie rod, ball joints and control arm were also replaced. Other parts needed to be repaired but were on backordered. The failure mileage was approximately 32,000.

My van wrenched into a power pole breaking the pole going over a large curb and down an embankment. Air bags did not deploy. I have had previous problems with the air bag light staying on and dealer service stated that it was from low voltage. Replaced battery at that time.

"air bag" light remains on.i am informed that i so not have airbag protection.

Power doors won't open or close completely

Rear lift gate will not close when power button is pushed has to be shut by force. Hard to open gets stuck when depressing handle.

The contact owns a 2007 hyundai entourage. When the ignition was turned to the on position, the engine failed to start. In addition, while driving 10 mph a month later, the accelerator pedal was depressed but the vehicle failed to accelerate and shook violently. Also, the vehicle did not shift into park and the battery had to be disconnected in order for the vehicle to turn off. The failures recurred numerous times. The vehicle was taken to a dealer. The technician was unable to diagnose the failure.the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that the vin was not included in nhtsa campaign numbers: 13v556000 (suspension) and 06v356000 (electrical system). The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.

When applying the brakes, lights dim, radio goes out , heat or ac goes off, while driving. Have complained out over a year ago. Have had new alternator put on and new washer pump. Tips replaced, stop switch? replaced.

Dealership had me make an appointment and come in for the 188 recall (abs relay installation), kept me for 2 hours, tried to sell me about $2,000 in unrelated maintenance, then told me that they did not have the parts to perform the relay service.they therefore wasted my time when they had no intention of performing the recall work.the recall work has not been done, and i've wasted a work day.dealer rep was also intimidating with regard to the maintenance he was recommending.

The contact owns a 2007 hyundai entourage. The contact stated that the brake lights illuminated constantly without depressing the brake pedal but failed to illuminate when the brake pedal was depressed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnosis. The technician stated the brake light switch would have to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. There was a recall under nhtsa campaign id number: 06v356000 (electrical system) that could have been related to the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated the vin was not included. The approximate failure mileage was 65,000.

The contact owns a 2007 hyundai entourage. The contact stated that the vehicle had numerous electrical failures. The contact stated that the interior light, the power sliding doors, and the power locks all failed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnosis and was informed that there was an electrical short. The vehicle was repaired. The failures recurred. The air bag light began to illuminate and the contact was afraid that it too was an electrical issue and felt very unsafe driving the vehicle. The vehicle was due to be diagnosed at the time of the complaint. The failure mileage was 114 and the current mileage was 111,000.updated 01/05/13*ljupdated 2/6/2013

The contact owns a 2007 hyundai entourage. The contact stated the driver informed him that the esc and check engine lights were illuminating on the instrument panel. The contact also stated the brake lights would not illuminate when the brakes were engaged. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer to have the failure diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer notified the contact thevehicle was not included in the recall associated with nhtsa campaign id number 06v356000 (electrical system:wiring). The contact also stated the vehicle was experiencing a recurring sliding door failure where the door would open after being closed. In order to keep the door closed the contact would had to manually close it. The failure and current mileages were 76,800.

We have an 07 entourage limited with a number of electrical problems ,left side sliding door wouldn't open with the remote, dealer repaired with a new door sensor, now the dealer is keeping it over night because of a problem with the same door when closing and then reopening as soon as it latches, put a new latch on and still having problems so they are keeping it over night, radio and seat looses memory but it's sporadic so no way for the dealership to find the problem, rear hatch closed then reopened but hasn't recently .the trans. Has a shutter when shifting at times but have not reported at this time due to being sporadic. The dealership has been great .but this limited entourage has some electrical problems that could become serious. Msrp was $33,620.00 when we bought it in july 06 now selling for about $29000.00 the first problems started surfacing about a month after buying it now jan. 07 still having problems.

As iopened rear lift gate it opened half way then started to close i was almost hit in the head when it started coming down.on2/4/14 same incident happenedlift gate opens half way then closes on own.

2010 a/c not working properly. In 2011, again a/c not properly working.both times took into dealership and they said it just takes the system a little longer to get cold.then in 2011, 2 more times the same problem but module fan control circuit and wiring was melted.took it to auto tech since the warranty had expired for the repairs.auto tech said this could have been a fire possibility and a safety issue. Battery just dies i.e. Becomes fully drained & dead. Has happened three times so far.

The contact owns a 2007 hyundai entourage. The contact stated that the vehicle was repaired under nhtsa campaign number: 20v061000 (service brakes, hydraulic) at herb chambers honda of seekonk located at 185 taunton ave rte. 44, seekonk, ma 02771, 508 366 7880. The contact stated that while attempting to start the vehicle, the vehicle started slowly with several unknown warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken back to the same dealer where the mechanic cleared the unknown warning lights. The contact stated that the failure persisted. Additionally, the key became hot after it was inserted in the ignition. The manufacturer had not been informed of failure. The failure mileage was 123,800.

When driving the car it unexpectedly does not allow acceleration to occur. The car stalled while pulling out into traffic causing a near accident. Had to turn off the car and restart it.

We purchased '07 hyundai entourage in 2009.we had several minor problems that year, which we overlooked as result of normal maintenance. However, we now think otherwise as the electrical system seems to be faulty!issues:replaced battery three times within 1 year. Remote entry stopped working for sliding doors, they lock/unlock but do not open/close. Sliding door on driver's side doesn't work via switch inside the door or ceiling console.at times our doors slide open while driving!from beginning,a large quantity of watery like substance leaking from engine area. Mechanic tightened a gasket during an oil change which temporarily lightened the problem...but it continues to this day.every mechanic has mentioned this leak but cannot determine origin.engine light came on 2 years ago, we were told to replace electronic throttle control ($1500!).however, light turns off for extended periods of time (loose wire? poor battery? faulty computer?), so we're hesitant to order that part...feel like the computer is faulty.couple of week's ago the air bag light came on and will not turn off, even though we have not been in a collision. Driver's turn signal burns out within three weeks of replacement, it's been this way since day one.a few days ago the driver's side door wasn't responding to the keyless remote...it remained locked even as all other doors unlocked...curious to see if this becomes a recurring problem. Additionally, the latch on the driver's side sliding door broke off several months ago, followed by the passenger sliding door latch one month ago, with regular use.not happy with this vehicle!we got a lemon, we believe the electrical system/computer is faulty, and we feel it should be the manufacturer's responsibility to repair...this is the first step that we're taking towards a complaint.any feedback/assistance welcomed.

On my last visit to the dealership service department, i was told the front valve cover gasket was leaking and needed to be replaced. I was unable to have the repair done at then due to time constraints. I now have an appointment in three days (august 8, 2014) to have the front valve cover replaced. The cost estimate is $653.00. Nhtsa recently sent me a notice of a recall on the hyundai veracruz that has virtually the same engine compartment layout as my vehicle. The recall on the veracruz is to replace leaking valve cover gasket and the alternator for free because oil is leaking onto the alternator and causing a safety hazard. I think that hyundai of america should do the same fix for my vehicle free of charge. What do you recommend that i do? i believe that odi should verify this complaint and contact hyundai to issue the same recall for my vehicle.

Minivan was parked at night in our home garage and spontaneously went on fire. All recommended factory maintenance was always performed. No recall for our vehicle existed. Significant risk to property and loss of life. Pushed it out of garage to save family and home.

We purchased our 2007 hyundai entourage in 2015 and 2 months after we bought it both doors motors stopped working. The driver side passenger door will only open about 10 to 15 inches. We've had to use the handles to open both door and the handles broke. I can only assume that they broke because they were not made to be used since the doors are supposed to be used with a remote and are motorized.we've also had to replace our head lights and back lights about 6 to 8 timesthat's more than i've changed any lheadlights on all my vehicles in my entire 44 years of owning cars. This vehicle has had 6 recalls since we purchased it in 2015. Please just recall and replace the whole vehicle to make up for how poorly this vehicle was made and thrown together. Ty

Front wipers stopped working while driving in rain.

In very cool weather(30 degrees or lower ) sliding doors freeze shut, can t open from out side or inside this has happened before 2/2011 some part was replace ia wasok until now. Is this a safety issue? i feel that it maybewhat happens if someone has to exit fast?

Passenger electric sliding doors do not latch properly. Latching the door make take several attempts.shaft humming while on gear on active gas pedal. The noise disappears when the gas pedal is not used while in gear.

2007 hyundai entourage. Consumer writes in regards to abs modules safety recall. *ldthe consumer stated when attempting to have a recall repair completed the dealer charged a diagnostic fee. The consumer stated while the key is not in the vehicle, the locks would click locked and unlocked, the headlights and dashlight turn on and off, and windows roll up and down. The emergency brake system light was illuminated. A burning scent came from the vehicle.

Valve cover gasket is leaking oil all over the alternator.other hyundai's with this engine have been recalled but the entourage has not.that makes no sense at all since by hyundai's one admission in the other recall this is a safety issue.why is nothing being done about this???

Driving down the road and when letting off the gas and vehicle starts slowing down head lights , brake lights, inst. Panel light, radio would cut out for a second or two and come back on. Started off doing it 1 a week , a couple days , now it does it constantly when car is slowing down. Don't go off while at idle. Other drivers flash their lites at me or blows their horn' especially cars that are following me.

Beginning in august of 2013 our entourage started experiencing episodes of randomly not starting, with episodes occurring about every two weeks, sometimes more often, sometimes less.for awhile we suspected it was an issue with the battery, but after replacing the battery twice now, we know it is not an issue with the battery.we do know now that it is a condition known as an intermittent, no crank/no start.we do not know for sure why; however, we suspect, per a technical service bulletin put out in august of 2007that we found (#07-90-009), that it is due to a faulty ipm module.hyundai refuses to acknowledge that bulletin or to cover the repairs since it is not under warranty, and a diagnostic is proving futile (per our experience of having a diagnostic performed that turned up nothing) since the problem resolves itself after sitting for some time, therefore, by the time the mechanic is able to see it is no longer exhibiting the problem, so we are left not only not knowing when our vehicle will start on a recurring basis but unsure as to what to do about this problem.

Since this first incident we have had problems with our power sliding doors on our van. The doors have done the "dinging" the crunching and grinding noise, opened when turning a corner. Often comes unlatched and makes the light come on and the alert. This has happened mostly on the passenger side but we have had issues with both doors. I'm tired of fighting with it and have run out of warranty so now i have to pay to get it fixed and haven't had the extra cash to do so. Maybe if someone dies from this hyundai will take notice, guessing that's what it's going to take. They realized they had a lemon on their hands, why do you think it was only made 3 short years.

Turn signal intermittent/total failure, symptoms are typically seen when a bulb fails. Replacement bulbs do not correct issue as this issue is related to a faulty bcm (body control module). Vehicle doesn't use a relay style signal indicator system. Note: that the rear turn signal blinks fast during failure.multiple forum post state that it can appear on either side.

I have called hyundai and asked about recalls, they say there are none. But my brake lights continue to stay on and my cel is on and it shows a bad computer.i feel the computer should be replaced by dealer not at my expense.

Van's electrical suddenly cut off in the middle of traffic losing power - thankfully a parking lot entrance was nearby and was able to barely steer it into the parking lot. I had my children with me. Found out it was recurring problem with the valve cover gasket leaking oil onto the alternator. Similar problem with recalled hyundai veracruz - same engine layout - but no recall on the hyundai entourage. This is the 4th time the alternator died and the local hyundai dealership will do nothing since it is out of warranty.

The power sliding rear doors began to intermittently fail to properly close and latch during the first year of ownership.after numerous attempted fixesby the dealer (one under recall) the problem has still remained and even gotten worse.now these doors almost always fail to properly latched closed and have slid open on several occasions when the vehicle was moving.

When i took my car in to comeback hyundai to repair recalls 03/28/2018 the car was purchased 10/28/2008 first owner and i purchased the car 02/15/2018 i was told to take the car in for recalls 03/20/2018however the dealer gave me a complete on recall only to find out they never did the work they invoiced. I called hyundai head quarters but was told only the first buyer is covered. Ashley 09/19/2019 09:59am 714-965-3828 i was told it was 10 years from date of first purchase not the first buyer. On saturday september 15,2018 i went back to the dealer ship because the latch that was told that was fixed was in fact not they then admitted there error then was telling me they could not fix my car right then. I lost trust in there dealership and call there corporate number 1-800-633-5151. How can i trust a mechanics who claims they fixed something when in fact they did not.

My van wouldn't start on 2 separate occasions on this day. Had to turn the key 3-4 times each. Over the next 2 years it happened periodically, becoming more frequent, sometimes twice a day, twice a week or once every 10 days or so. Van can't be jumped because there is power, tried putting it in neutral then park again but still wouldn't start. Tried for 20 minutes then walked away for 30-60 minutes & van started immediately upon trying. Dealership "thinks" it's the ipm. Finally got that replaced because we were told their top mechanic put those notes in the computer so that's what the problem is. Immediately notified service supervisor that my rear sliding door lock isn't working before i ever left the lot (never had a problem when i dropped it off). 3 days later van wouldn't start. Hyundai technical says to check ground wires. 2 days after getting van back it wouldn't start & another 2 days later both slider doors & rear hatch locks stopped working (never had a problem when it was dropped off). Now they want to charge me several hundred dollars to replace all 3 failed lock sensors. They messed it up!!!! i'm not paying for the repair!!! they claim they've never had anyone in their 2 stores with a problem like this. The service supervisor is patronizing, lies about things my husband has said, lies about not getting my voice mail when i dial his extension directly & probably doesn't tell the manager everything & contradicts himself. Found this website & it's amazing to see several people with the same problems i've been having. Nobody has time for this inconvenience which is a major safety hazard. Who wants to sit in the hot florida sun trying to start their vehicle for an hour? been there done that too many times. Tired of this crap! i want my vehicle fixed! they just want to sell you something else.

Brand new 2007 kia sedona ex.various electrical components would fail to work sporadically.the issue started almost immediately after having bought the car.after not driving car for three days, car would not start.would jump the car and it would hold the charge for two days, then die. Then it would hold the charge for one day and die.took the car into hyundai on 7/14 but they could not find any problem.also complained about the electrical panel in the roof having a leak. Hyundai ordered a part but it's been over three weeks and it hasn't arrived.

The contact owns a 2007 hyundai entourage. The contact stated that while driving at 45 mph, the rear driver side door swung open independently. The door ajar warning light illuminated. The contact pulled to the road side to close the door. The failure recurred intermittently.in addition, while driving at various speeds, the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the vin was not included in the nhtsa campaign number: 06v356000 (electrical system). The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 142,000. Updated 09/30/16*ljupdated 06/18/18

I am contacting you because i see that hyundai has issued a recall for alternator failure because of faulty valve cover gaskets. I believe that this should also be extended to the kia sedona minivan and the hyundai entourage that use the same configuration of engine. I noticed on my 2007 hyundai entourage that the front valve cover gasket is leaking and that it is leaking on the alternator. A quick google search will provided many other examples of this happening on these vehicles. I believe that hyundai is not willing to research this because of the many more minivans it has sold. This is a very serious defect and i believe it does warrant looking into.

Are doors fly open driving down freeway. Doors don't close or latch half the time and are battery and alternator light constantly comes on and battery and alternator is good had them tested. U ask for a date and only let us put one date in this happens so often we're scared to even open drivers side sliding door. And something wrong with the brakes

Driver side power sliding door opened while driving and will not close manually or using the power button.

My 2007 hyundai entourage se minivan suffers from a intermittent start issue. We bought the van used in 2012 with 82,000 miles on it. We have had door issues, where they do not latch correctly and engine issues, electrical issues, and tires wear unevenly. It has not been a great purchase. The van not starting is the real issue, here is what happens. When you put the key in the ignition it either starts the engine or there is no ignition. The lights and fans still work just no ignition. The fix, i read online that if you hit the fuse panel below the steering wheel that resets this error. It works, it shouldn't but it does. The closest dealer is 30 miles and they have quoted me up to a 600.00 to fix. I feel that this is such a widespread issue that it should be covered by hyundai. It also seems like a safety issue. Please check into this. Thank you.

Power sliding door and other electrical problems on a 2007 hyundai entourage.multiple replaced parts to include battery (after 24 months of use), horns, power window switch, ac/fan clutch, blown engine oil seal, tensioner, ecm with relay, brake light switch with brake lights, etc.no help or concern from dealership other than "we have never seen this issue before" or "all of these parts are under warranty, what more do you want use to do".

I have been experiencing several electrical issues with the van.the van has been to the dealership several times for motor issues with the sliding side doors. About 5 months after purchasing the van we had issues with the side doors popping open while driving 70mph down the expressway.this was an ongoing problem. Was told by the dealership that the issue was fixed. Upon the last visit to the dealership for a sliding side door that does not function properly i was told that the motor needs to be replaced despite the several complaints i have had about the sliding doors.the cost was over $150 to replace the motor for the door. Current issue is the brake lights do not illuminate at all.i called dealership after learning of recall online and they stated this was vin specific and no recall was issue on my van and i would have to pay the cost.after reading several reports of the same issue with the brake lights the issue does not seem to be vin specific.

Electrical problems, with my 2007 hyundai entourage, day one the battery had to be replaced, then at 39,000 plus miles, the power door on the left side quit working,it was bad about re-opening after being shut. Then when it was returned another problem was created ,the first time my wife locked the doors the door lock notification horn was very faint.they reordered a new horn ,no change. The ex-service manager said that's the way it should sound. My wife and i and children, family members all said it sounded strange. We didn't make a big deal out of a horn sound.then the battery again went bad, had to be replaced. At 76,000 plus miles both power doors quit working, i asked for a quote, and to keep all replaced parts. The quote was given, the parts weren't given to me. I was told they were to be sent back as a warrenty. Two power door motors and a module, all went bad at one time. When these doors quit working,no child can open them from the inside. Three -four days later after this repair a light comes on saying esc off and engine light comes on. I researched recalls on google and it said there was a recall on the adjustable brake petal and switch. The dealership and hyundai of usa both deny that it was a recall. I am afraid this van is dangerous at this time.

The contact owns a 2007 hyundai entourage. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to start when the key was turned in the ignition. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to ganley parma hyundai (located at 7115 brookpark rd, parma, oh 44129, (216) 749-2525), but the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, but the failure could not be duplicated. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 15.

Driving home last night my esc off/on light came on. I didn't know what this meant, but kept driving. Upon arrival at home my brake lights would not come off. The only thing that would make them go off is disconnecting the battery cable. Upon further test the brake lights stay on while driving as well so the individual behind me would not be able to tell whether or not i was about to stop. I called the dealer and the 800 number in regards to a recall that i saw on the nhtsa website that may be related to the issue and they say my vehicle is not impacted by this recall and that i need to take it in to the dealer. The issue seems amazingly similar to the 2009 recall.

My 2007 entourage limited has several quality deficiency issues and recurring maintenance issues. The rear sliding doors (both) have been worked on several times, yet they continue to malfunction, i.e come undone/re-open, not fully latch, and consistently beep as a notice of failure. This is where my babies sit, both of them. The dvd screen has been replaced because it quit functioning properly. The van shimmies or rattles at speed around 70 mph. It causes the center console to shake vigorously. The wheels were balanced on a special wheel balancer but this only reduced the problem. The tire pressure monitoring system has had malfunctions multiple times. There is a whine from the steering column when the wheel is turned, the alternator is creating a whine over the stereo system intermittently(really annoying), the side mirrors have both had problems with the reverse/angle function where the mirrors' motor fails to return the mirror to its user preset setting when transmission is placed out of reverse(drivers side) or fails to tilt the specified degree in reverse(passenger side). The roof leaked when the van was completely shut and had to be resealed by a specialist to correct an existing deficiency, the seal around the glass for the sunroof is degrading and cracking. The sliding rear door on the drivers side has a crimped window channel seal. This shop also stated that they "had not seen one of these [entourage] vans with so many problems". The door handles and rear high mount stop light had to be replaced due to the packing/shipping poly wrap ruining the chrome and plastic lens. The gasket for the high mount stop light had to be replaced later due to workmanship or material quality. The windshield cracked/failed (1/2" chunk of the windshield) when my wife adjusted the rear view mirror. The idler pulley has been replaced because the bearing failed. Stripping around the sliding doors are fading already and yellowing. More not enough space.

Valve cover gasket is leaking oil all over the alternator. Other hyundai's with this engine have been recalled but the entourage has not. That makes no sense at all since by hyundai's one admission in the other recall this is a safety issue. Why is nothing being done about this???

We purchased our 2007 hyundai entourage new in july '07.within 2 months we began having problems with the electric sliding doors on both sides.sometimes the doors do not close all the way, or close and reopen.sometimes the doors won't open with any method, keyfob, buttons, or manual.the doors sometimes make a sound like there is grit in the track.we have taken this to the dealership multiple times and even showed them video of it happening.since they can't reproduce it there has been no work done to fix it.we also have intermittent battery drain.the battery has been dead 5 times for no apparent reason. The passenger side mirror will often not adjust unless it is moved to the bottom outside corner first and then it can be adjusted.the memory for the seats/mirrors are often lost.to me these all indicate a problem with the electronics in this vehicle.dealership has not been able to find anything to fix.we also have experienced a shimmy at highway speeds.replaced the tires and had them road balanced to remove the worst of the shimmy.independent garage did this and said the tires and the rims are fine.it's been close to 3 years and we are still experiencing all of these issues.

Sliding passenger side door opened on its owngoing around a turn, speed was about 25 miles per hour. Alarm bell sounded, i stopped car checked door reclosed and locked it.

Driving a 2007 hyundai entourage van on the morning of december 30, 2011 we came to a stop for a red light. My foot was still on the brake pedal when two seconds later we were reared ended by another vehicle that was traveling at approximately 45-50 mph. My spouse and i experienced severe whiplash. The driver of the vehicle that crashed into us claimed she never saw our stop lights. After the incident, i discovered there were two recalls for our van (06v356000 & 09v122000) related to intermittent brake light switches. We purchased the entourage in 2009, but never was told or notified of either recall. Although the other driver was a fault, i believe that she may have been telling the truth about not seeing the brake lights. There are other recalls on the 2007 hyundai entourage since then (13v113000and 13v556000) but we received a notice ofeither. I plan to submit a separate complaint regarding the other recalls issues. What worries me is that were are not told about or receive recall notices or defective part issues. I'm guessing that nhtsa/odi would receive more complaints, but people are not aware of the shady non-disclosure practices of dealerships. There are other issues that i haven't submitted, but will talk with you about if you so desire.

In june of this year, we received an 'important safety recall' from hyundai, instructing me to park my car outside and away from structures and other vehicles until a repair is completed.i brought the car to russell westbrook hyundai in garden grove on june 15th of this year. We were told that it would be ready later that day.then the 16th. Then the 17th. Then the 18th. Then the 19th. Then i was told the parts would arrive in a couple of days and did i want to leave the car there. I declined. On june 22, i called the parts department and was told the parts would arrive in the middle of july. I called at that time and i was told it would be the end of july.i was advised that i would be contacted within 3-5 days. Two months have gone by with no further word. I'm 77 years old and i'm uneasy driving this car.

My wife and i recently took a 5,000 mile road trip. The first 4,000 miles we had no problems. However, when we were about 900 miles from home, we started having problems. We got ready to leave the hotel one morning and the esc "off" light was on as well as the check engine light. You could floor the gas pedal, but only got 1,000 rpm's. The engine would run, but it had no power. I turned it off to go check it out, and when i came back the esc light was gone, but the check engine light remained on the rest of the way home. The first day this happened, we got to 250 before it went into coast. After that, we could only drive about 70+ miles before it would start coasting again and we would have to find a place to pull off the road, turn the engine off and then restart it. It would run another 70+ miles and would do it all over again. The tms light would come on intermittently as well. At one point, i called our local dealer and he stated that it would be ok to drive it home in this condition. The main problem was in big cities (finding a place to pull over with the traffic) also, there was a lot of road construction with one lane traffic and nowhere to pull off. You can imagine the stress we were under. The reason for this letter, is mainly to make you aware of the problem. Needless to say, it could have been tragic. But, we were definitely lucky and were always able to pull over out of traffic going 75 mph. Updated 10/20/11

While driving to work yesterday morning, i was turning off a side road onto a main road. As soon as i turned on to the main road the van sounded like maybe it had a flat, it did not.both esc lights came on and stayed on. The steering and braking was erratic and there was no pick up. I could not get the wheels to turn the same direction as the steering wheel for a short period of time moving into on coming traffic. Luckily i was able to get short period of control, enough to barley turn into a parking lot. I am so fortunate this didn't happen on the highway at 55mph or could have been horrific. I did call hyundai and there are several recalls for the van including the front control arms. I asked if they can tow to the nearest dealer considering i just avoided an accident and had no control.hyundai will not tow to the dealer. They did offer to reimburse me if i tow it, but that does not help me currently. This is a very serious situation and needs to be rectified by hyundai before a driver is not able to avoid an accident due to having no pick up or control of the steering.

As i was pulling out of a parking lot, the esc light came on steady and there was no power/pickup when depressing the accelerator.top speed may have been 10mph.i was able to get the car off the road without incident as it was early in the morning.this is a known problem that presents a safety issue but has not been recalled (see hyundai technical service bulletin 10-fl-010 for specifics).a loss of ability to accelerate when trying to join traffic could increase the chance of an accident and should be a general recall for replacement at hyundai expense.

On a night going home from work, when it have sleeted a co-worker was following me and noticed i had no brake lights and then my esc light would go on and off and i didn't realize it was a huge problem until the brake lights stopped working again i had my car tested and it come back as a brake light switch malfunction and when i was searching to find out about the part i noticed hyundai had a recall on that part but because the recall has been closed they will not replace it on my van for me and i did not own the van until 2011 so i had no idea about the recall and the dealer also never mentioned anything, i am upset that a recall can close i believe they manufacture should make sure all of there vehicles have been fixed so now before i have a accident for having no brakes lights i have to figure out how to replace this switch..

When driving the car it unexpectedly does not allow acceleration to occur. The car stalled while pulling out into traffic causing a near accident. Had to turn off the car and restart it.

Vehicle brake light switch failed. Esc light remains on. Brake lights stay on.hyundai refuse to fix free of charge, even though part of recall#09v122000.

We were recently driving on the high way, when the esc off and check engine light came on.my engine wasstill on, but i lost acceleration and had to pull over and restart the van.i had to do this three times before the esc off light turned off and i regained the ability to accelerate.for the last two weeks every morning i will start the van and the same problem happens, i have to leave the van on for a few minutes and then turn it off and on again multiple times before the esc off lights turns off and i regainacceleration.this is dangerous since we're now afraid to drive on the high way and lose power.

The contact owns a 2007 hyundai entourage. While driving various speeds, the vehicle suddenly shut off and the electronic stability control and tire pressure monitoring system indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to capitol hyundai(2820 eastern blvd, montgomery, al) for repairs, but the failure recurred. No diagnosis information was available. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who replaced the transmission, but the failure continued. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 35,000. The vin was invalid.

Noticed cruise control was not activating and then not deactivating when manually braking. Upon arrival at destination, when engine was turned off, brake lights are remaining on and draining the battery. Unable to get the lights to turn off. Been having intermittent occurrences of esc indicator going on at inappropriate times and remaining on. During those times, vehicle feels as if brakes are being applied even while i am attempting to accelerate on a straightaway. Vehicle seems to be so slow as if brakes are engaged. Found that stopping the vehicle and turning off the ignition completely will sometimes reset the car. Hyundai customer care was awful!!!! said the stoplampswitch on my vehicle has already been replaced through a previous recall so they cannot replace it again even though the exact same problem is still occurring again. They want me to take it to the dealer and pay for the diagnosis and replacement of the same part and problem! i've done that twice before (paid for diagnosis of faulty sliding doors which is why i came in to begin with) only to be told the erratic automatic sliding side doors will cost me $600 each to be fixed. Unacceptable customer service. Doors should open and close but we have had to live with non-working doors for over 5 years because hyundai would not fix them for free as that was not a recall issue for them. Shameful service.

I was stopped behind a vehicle turning left, and a line of cars came through the intersection behind me. The car directly behind me was unaware that i was stopped because apparently my brake lights were not on and the driver had to swerve quickly into the lane of oncoming traffic; the car behind him swerved into the right breakdown lane. We are fortunate we were not hit and that no one else was hit. Assuming the fault was with the other driver, i continued driving our entourage unaware of the ongoing problem, only to discover on the highway last night after dark that the brake lights were not working. I had been driving the vehicle for close to a month this way--the esc light has also been on that long--not realizing that the problem was also affecting the brake lights. There was a safety recall issued for this problem in 2009. Though every website i've consulted includes the entourage in the recall campaign, hyundai maintains that it is not included. It befuddles me that a known safety issue that is affecting the 07 entourage is being completely ignored by hyundai customer service. The safety issue is particularly troubling because owners will not know that their brake lights are failing to engage, unless an accident or near accident occurs. Even then, (like our family) they may not realize the problem. Unless a recall is issued/honored, the only way to discover the problem is to have it while operating the car.in our case, my children ride everywhere with me in the entourage. I spoke with customer service twice, and got nowhere. I will not be purchasing another hyundai in the future.

In very cool weather(30 degrees or lower ) sliding doors freeze shut, can t open from out side or inside this has happened before 2/2011 some part was replace ia wasok until now. Is this a safety issue? i feel that it maybewhat happens if someone has to exit fast?

The brake lights of my2007 hyundai entourage do not illuminate when the brake pedal is depressed.also the electronic stability control (esc) light won't go off, and the cruise control will not engage.contacted hyundai customer assistance, little to no help.they confirmed the online alldata repair notice that said there is a recall for this vehicle with the exact problems.however, they couldn't tell me if repair was covered under recall.they suggested i contact local dealer and have car diagnosed at my cost.

The contact owns a 2007 hyundai entourage. While driving approximately 40 mph, the battery and brake warning indicators illuminated independently. The dealer diagnosed that the oil gasket cover was leaking and caused oil to come in contact with the battery and the alternator. The oil gasket cover, battery, and alternator failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The vin was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 14v415000 (engine and engine cooling). The manufacturer was notified. The vin was unknown. The approximate failure mileage was 99,900.

I purchased a used 2007 hyundai entourage june of 2016 since buying the vehicle i have had issues with it failing to startturn the key lights fan radio all came on engine would not crank it happens now and again but enough to be an issue i returned to the dealer were it was purchased they replaced the starter one week later same issue we had the battery tested told the battery was almost new since buying the van i have had it towed twice called road side assistance twice and i have been stuck at work and at the store for hours even missed a day of workbecause of this i contacted hyundai and was told that i have to have a certified hyundai mechanic look at the vehicle however they are not willing to swallow the cost i have been doing research since this problem occurred and it appears that hyundai has an intermittent no crank no start issue with some vehicles the entourage being one that they wont acknowledge i even found a you tube video where a mechanic explains the problemmy husband has owned two elantra'si thought we could rely on hyundai which was the reason i brought the entourage but clearly that are not as reliable as we thought . I even found 6 complaints of the same issue on this site

We have been having trouble with our entourage not being able to start. Two months ago we had an oil leak from our valve cover and was told it had been leaking onto our alternator for awhile and could cause our alternator to stop working. We had to pay an exorbitant amount of money to get the valve cover fixed. The mechanic i have been talking to says that their is a recall on the veracruz which uses the same engine an valve cover for my vehicle. I think that our 2007 entourage should be included in this recall in case this should happen to more people and more accidents happen. Because of this leak happening we will now have to get a new alternator soon.

When driving the car it unexpectedly does not allow acceleration to occur. The car stalled while pulling out into traffic causing a near accident. Had to turn off the car and restart it.

The contact owns a 2007 hyundai entourage. While the vehicle was idling at a red light, the engine began to rev on its own. The vehicle also began to roll forward. When the vehicle was placed in park, the revving subsided. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to allstar motors, inc. (9201 st charles rock rd, st. Louis, mo 63114, (314) 427-6550), but no assistance was provided. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 133,000.

The contact owns a 2007 hyundai entourage. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to start. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who replaced an unknown module. The contact stated that the failure recurred three days after the repair. The vehicle was taken back to the independent mechanic where the vehicle was to be diagnosed. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 96,000.

I was driving on the clear view expressway in ny when the car engine shut off no warring at all just died. I was lucky i got to the shoulder of the high way called for a tow truck took 4 hours two tow trucks to get me home to ct took it to the hyundai dealer in milford they said the engine froze had plenty of oil was not burntit just stopped working the engine had 113,000 when it just stopped no waring at all they said because it was out of warranty they could not help me at all will never buy one again not good customer service now i have a big paper weight in my yard.

Minivan was parked at night in our home garage and spontaneously went on fire. All recommended factory maintenance was always performed. No recall for our vehicle existed. Significant risk to property and loss of life. Pushed it out of garage to save family and home.

Thank you.

Valve cover gasket is leaking oil all over the alternator. Other hyundai's with this engine have been recalled but the entourage has not. That makes no sense at all since by hyundai's one admission in the other recall this is a safety issue. Why is nothing being done about this???

This vehicle was purchased new in august of 2007.the car battery has gone dead 3 times for no apparent reason.all the doors were closed and no lights left on.it would just be dead.the dealership has replaced the battery and supposedly tested all of the electrical system and found nothing each time it was brought back to a hyundai dealership.

There has been a consistent whine coming from my somewhere within the engine for the last 3 months.upon researching the cause of the whine we were able to narrow it down to the power steering oil pump.when we went looking for possible known issues, we came across a techinical service bulletin - dated august 2008 - addressing a whine noise in the power steering oil pump.i called the service department where i purchased the vehicle to ask about having the power steering pump checked, based on the tsb - i was informed by the service manager that "he" was the specialist and he would determine what the problem was - but first he would have to do a complete check on the engine (to the tune of about $450) to determine the problem.he then asked the mileage on the vehicle and when i told him, he informed me that since it was over 60k - it was outside of the warranty and i would therefore have to pay all out of pocket.regardless of the fact that the tsb was dated august 2008 and that the tsb info was never sent to the customers - (was told tsb information was strictly for service technicians and the consumer did not need to know anything about it)since the problem began, my power steering has seize up three times - locking my steering wheel in place.so far, i have been fortunate that at the time i was just pulling into a parking space.but if this should happen while on a sharp curve - the car could very easily not come out of the turn and cause a severe crash.my main complaint - if there is a tsb and regardless of the mileage on the car - the service department should be responsible for correcting the problem.it should not fall to the consumers to be hit with a hefty repair bill because the vehicle is faulty.

I bought my entourage in november 2006.on wednesday, july 18, 2007 my 18 m.o. Son and i were running some errands.we stopped at the bakery, then proceeded to our play group.on the way, i noticed that the gas tank was less than 1/4 full, so i stopped to get gas.as it was a hot day, i left my son in the car with the windows rolled down and proceeded to fill the tank.went in the vehicle to start it--it would not turn over, no clicking or anything.called roadside assistance who transported it to dealer.dealer had it until friday afternoon.said it started right up for them, computer didn't show anything wrong.sunday july 22, 2007 we went to ohio for a family get together.drove back towards home and stopped at a store to do a bit of shopping.son was fussing after 10 minutes, so my husband took him back to the vehicle sitting there with windows rolled down and radio playing.i came out 10-15 minutes later, loaded the vehicle and it would not start again.had to call hyundai roadside assistance again.since it was sunday, vehicle could not be taken to dealer until monday.dealer got it monday and surprise, surprise, it started right up.there is something wrong with this vehicle and they tell me that if they can't duplicate the condition, there is nothing they can do.that is not right.i have a 1 1/2 year old plus i am pregnant.i don't want to drive this vehicle not knowing when it won't start up again, which i am sure will happen again.i've always liked hyundai vehicles--i still have my 01 elantra which runs great.this vehicle has dissuaded me from ever wanting another hyundai.

Ty

I have replaced 10-12 headlights since purchasing this vehicle.dealership where i took it during warranty claimed there was no problem, just usage.it is now blowing a light every 4 to 6 weeks.

The right front signal light stopped working.it was replaced and a few weeks later, it stopped working again.we are getting it replaced again tomorrow.

Brake lights failed due to a faulty stop switch.seems similar to issue found/covered by campaign 110.

I have called hyundai and asked about recalls, they say there are none. But my brake lights continue to stay on and my cel is on and it shows a bad computer.i feel the computer should be replaced by dealer not at my expense.

Vehicle brake light switch failed. Esc light remains on. Brake lights stay on.hyundai refuse to fix free of charge, even though part of recall#09v122000.

When i researched the recalls for the hyundai entourage 2007 i found a recall (internal recall campaign 110) and when i called i was informed that my van was not part of the recall, even though i am having the exact same issues listed on the recall, intermittent operation of the push-button start feature, affected the operation of the brake transmission shift interlock feature, preventing the shifter from being moved out of the park position and cause the electronic stability control (esc) malfunction light to illuminate.they were unwilling to assist me in fixing this issue and told me that i would have to pay out of pocket to fix the problems. 2007 hyundai entourage service brakes, hydraulic:switches:brake light, exterior lighting:brake lights:switchnhtsa campaign #13v113000.

Two failures of the brake light switch since purchase of 2007 hyundai entourage on oct 20, 2006. First time, brake lights did not work, next time brake lights would not turn off and completely drained battery. Third switch now installed.

We purchased a new 2007 entourage limited in october 2006.the fuel consumption on this minivan is horrid averaging 16.8 miles per gallon.the advertised range was 18 mpg in city and 25 in hwy.with mixed city/hwy driving we are experiencing fuel consumption that is not come close to the city fuel consumption advertised by hyundai.fuel consumption was a big part of our decision to buy this vehicle and it seems the information provided by hyundai was completely deceiving. The dealer told us there is nothing that can be done and we are stuck with this inefficient vehicle. Many other owners reporting the same complaint as shown in various websites i.e. Edmunds.com

The hyundai entourage has been driven for roughly 30k miles now with the sliding doors used daily.now each time the doors are closed they hit the side of the vehicle and are chipping away at the paint, and to a lesser degree the doors will not lock in the open position which can be a major problem on inclines.nothing has been done to correct the problem, the dealer reports that the doors are within specs, but i don't see how the door can be within specifications and be hitting the side of the vehicle.

Issue:malfunctioning passenger side sliding door on my 2007 hyundai entourage.the door occasionally does not shut properly when closing the door (while in the power mode).the hyundai dealership has tried to replace a computer module on one visit and the latch assembly on another visit.the first visit they indicated they could not duplicate the problem, so they did not do anything.please help.it is of real concern to my family because our 20 month old son rides in that seat.we see this as a safety issue.

1. Driver side sliding door has not worked properly since purchase.also happens on occasion with passenger side sliding door.herculean effort needed to open them. Very risky in emergency situation.2. Tire pressure monitoring system failure.in replacing all 4 tires at 47,000 miles (10-25-08) , the valve stems containing the tire pressure monitoring system were not removable without tremendous effort. Once reinserted, the valves proceeded to flatten one of our new tires and seriously reduce inflation in another.result:need another new tire and replacement of valve stems.

2007 hyundai entourage power sliding door failure.power door has been spotty working for several months on a vehicle with 25k miles and is 2 years old.will not open properly, will not close properly.

Have had numerous issues with the sliding doors of the hyundai entourage.just today the door is stuck in the open position and neither the automatic nor manual way of closing will work.i am sick of climbing with my two kids through the back of the mini van to put them in their seats.dealer suggests that i drive it in with the door open..

Both of our hyundai entourage sliding doors failed after approximately 65,000 miles. At first they wouldn't close all of the way or lock when using the electric door feature.then, the problem occurred when closing the doors manually.then, the electric feature totally stopped working all together and the doors still didn't fully close or lock when closed manually. We had it fixed and were told that the motors on the doors had burned out.this is surprising that these doors don't last longer given that it is a highlighted feature of the minivan; they should be able to withstand more use.i am suspect of this characterization of this problem.

Power doors do not ooperate properly. If on an incline when i shut them they automatically open back up. Also, the automatic door opener when there is an obstruction does not work when a child's hand is the obstruction.

Power sliding door failurethe power door will not open and shut automatically.it is very difficult to open manually.my service dealer mentioned these doors have had a lot of problems.

2007 hyundai entourage.purchased in spring '07.both side/sliding doors are automatic and within a few months of purchase they began to have difficulties closing.they would not be able to close and immediately open again.the right side more so than the left.it can take up to 20 attempts to close the right side at times.when it became an annoyance, meaning it occurred almost everyday we brought the vehicle in to the dealer early this spring.the first visit they needed a special order part and we returned several weeks later when the part was in.they replaced said part on both sides.since the replacement, the doors are still having difficulties closing, right side more often than left.it became more than just an annoyance but an actual major safety issue last week when the right side door closed (after 15-20 attempts), but as my wife was pulling out of the space, the door opened on its own with my toddler son sitting right there.fortunately she was not driving in traffic yet.

While traveling on a two lane highway, at about 45 mph, the hood of our van flew up without warning and completely covered the windshield.i signaled and slowly moved right and eventually to the grass verge of the road.the hood was dented and flat against the windshield.i got on top of the engine to pull the hood back down but it would not go past the stops on the hinges.i then loosened the hinge bolts to the hood and was able to close the hood and strap it down.

The contact owns a 2007 hyundai entourage. The contact stated that the passenger sliding door would not latch properly and would slide open whenever she was making a turn. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who advised her that they would need to replace the latch. The vehicle was repaired for the passenger sliding door latch. The failure and current mileages were approximately 40,000. The vin was unavailable.

Power sliding door failed to lock resulting in it opening on highway at 65mph. No way to secure door had to tie it to keep from opening failure has occurred 4 times dealer replaced latch under warranty first time 2nd time failed on trip to canada dealer stated my warranty was not covered in canada but i would be recompensated if i sent the invoice to hyundia. Sent all paper work they requested and was advised that it was a maintenance problem and not covered.even though it had only been 5 months since the last repair the slider has now failed again and there is no question that hyundai has aserious safety problem with the entourage lt van as the number of complaints on this vehicle is huge and always on the passenger side slider. Hyundai stop production of this model after only 2 years and it is my feeling that they realized theyhad a design flaw and did not want to chance a recall if they continued making them. The hyundai entourage with power sliding doors should be recalled before some one falls out on the highway and killed.sent all.

Power doors open on their own, have to put the car doors in manual to keep it shut, this happens on and off. This has been happening since we got the car, i have taken it to hyundai for repairs more than 5 times and they always say nothing is wrong. I showed them a video i took with my cell they still could not reproduce it they did admit several people have complained about this.

The contact owns a 2007 hyundai entourage.the contact stated that the power side doors would not open if they are wet or if ice accumulates on the door.the sensors automatically lock the doors and prevent them from opening from the exterior or passenger compartment.the dealer could not correct the failure.the manufacturer was not notified.the failure mileage was 4,000 and current mileage was 4,100.updated 01-15-08.updated 01/15/08

The contact owns a 2007 hyundai entourage. While driving between 45-50 mph the rear sliding doorsremained ajar.the vehicle was taken to the dealer several times , and multiple repairs were made to the doors.none of the repairs have remedied the failure. The contact owns a 2007 hyundai entourage.the contact stated that the sliding doors on her vehicle would not remain closed.on one occasion, the driver's door opened while driving at an unknown speed.she pushed various buttons on the door in an attempt to keep it closed.the vehicle was taken to the dealer several times and they replaced the latching mechanisms and sliding door lock modules; however, the failure continued to persist.the manufacturer stated that they would bring in a mechanic from california who would determine the cause of the failure and they would not return the vehicle until it was repaired.the vin was unknown.the current mileage was 23,017 and failure mileage was approximately 100. Update 10/01/08 *cw the power sliding door, did not open or close. The steering wheel vibrated at highway speed. Updated 10/02/08.

Soon after purchasing a 2007 entourage limited in may '07 we began to have trouble with the passenger side sliding door.the door will reopen after being closed.this was first noticed in a restaurant parking lot.fortunately this did not result in anything being stolen, but now have to confirm door will remain closed before leaving the van.there is no pattern but problem usually occurs when other power door/tailgate is open.taken to dealer multiple times but door worked fine.dealer was not very helpful.a personal call to the national service center had to be made before anything was done by the dealer.on the same day as the call the dealer readjusted the door.that was about three weeks ago and the problem is still happening.we have an appointment with the dealer this week, but i still get the impression they don't know how to fix the problem.

The contact owns a 2007 hyundai entourage.the contact stated that the rear driver's and passenger side doors would not remain closed.while driving various speeds, the doors opened automatically.the contact had to stop the vehicle and turn off the engine.when he restarted the engine, the doors reset themselves.the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure.the dealer stated that the failure must recur in order for the doors to be repaired.the failure mileage was 29,000.

2007 entourage se, purchased in july 07.1.doors would fail to remain closed when operated electrically.tech stated that the doors were out of alignment.kept car over night in september and stated it was fixed.this is october and it's beginning again!2.ignition failure.when key is turned nothing happens!repeat process several times and maybe it starts.kept car for 3 days.tech stated that first the module was installed backwards, then there was a recall on one of the parts.again the system is failing!

While the vehicle was at the dealer being repaired per a recall for the hood latch, the contact was informed that the lower control arm needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the dealer would not perform the recall repair. Additionally, the contact was informed that the recall was expired. The manufacturer opened case number: 10003703. The nhtsa campaign numbers were not provided. The contact had not experienced a failure.

Passenger electric sliding doors do not latch properly. Latching the door make take several attempts.shaft humming while on gear on active gas pedal. The noise disappears when the gas pedal is not used while in gear.

The entourage began running like it was not getting fuel, jerking, hesitating, etc.took to dealer they said the oil was the issue.oil change and flush.1 week later began with issues again, dealer refused to look at it.went to outside mechanic said misfire code was bad coil.changed, 1 week late symptoms recurred.hyundai dealer still refused to look stating it was an oil issue.went back to same mechanic diagnosed same misfire code and then said a second came up and was the pmc was corrupted.

My entourage exhibits intermittent significant low-speed engine braking when driving in the auto 'drive' position.this braking effect is similar in effect to the actual light application of the brakes.this was immediately reported to the hyundai dealer upon purchase delivery of the vehicle.dealer has attempted to fix by performing transmission re-programming.this has modified the behavior to make the occurrence of this much more intermittent, but still not fixed it.i have two safety concerns with this.the first is i have almost been rear-ended by another driver once, and that was on dry pavement.this vehicle actually performs a braking function without the benefit of the vehicles brake lights being displayed.we live in wisconsin where the road conditions get icy during the winter.the braking is significant enough that i'm concerned about it causing the vehicle to enter an uncontrolled skid on icy roads, particularly in conditions of approaching intersections requiring a stop or yield and also when exiting highway ramps which can become very slippery.hyundai and dealer have both now decided this is 'normal', even though it is very intermittent.hyundai will no longer address this.the vehicle operates to coast in a safe manner about half the time the gas pedal is released, which leads me to believe it should be capable of doing so all the time.this appears to be a design flaw with the engine/powertrain that can be affected by programming, but hyundai will no longer address and has left me with no recourse for resolving as they will not recognize this as a valid problem.the engine/transmission modules do not display any problem codes for this, so hyundai's stance is it is not a problem.

I purchased a 2007 hyundai accent se from a dealership in chicago.they drove the vehicle from madison wisconsin, so when i purchased it, it had 240 miles. Within the first day of driving, i came to a stop sign and the car would not move.when put into gear, it would not accelerate or move anywhere.it was towed to the dealership, and the clutch has failed, and possibly damaged the transmission.

We have a 2007 hyundai entourage in which the seat belts consistently lock up and choke the passengers.they lock when the vehicle is in motion, not while stopping.the dealer and corporate offices claim this is normal operating procedure for the vehicle.they lock up and do not release unless the seat belt is unfastened which is unsafe while the vehicle is in motion but needs to be done or cause injury.

12 yr. Sitting in 3rd. Row passenger side got "middle" seat belt tangled around his neck.he was unable to breath, i couldn't get belt untangled and the seat belt didn't have enough slack to get it off of him.i had to cut the seat in order for him to breathe. I was unawarethat it could be released with a pointed object that can be pushed into a tiny silver area which releases it.he is fine, but it was very scary.

The contact owns a 2007 hyundai entourage. The contact stated that the middle passenger side seat belt failed to retract properly. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer and the manufacturer was contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 60,150 and the current mileage was 62,000.

3 out of 7 of my sear belts are faulty. One has ripped in half, one is peremently locked and the other one is fraying. It's a 2007 hyundai entourage. We have contacted hyundai and the dealership and they don't want to do anything about it. I have 5 children so i need all the seatbelts. This is clearly a safety issue that no one is willing to address.

Air bag light is on when key is in on position. It stays on with or without person in passenger seat, in motion or parked,

The drivers side seat rocks back and forth which started today.after looking under the seat, two bolts from the seat frame had broken off.don't understand how a seat has this problem.

Front driver seat broke underneath, now wobbles back and forth.

Air bag light is on when key is in on position. It stays on with or without person in passenger seat, in motion or parked,

The contact owns a 2007 hyundai entourage. While operating the vehicle, the driver's seat inadvertently reclined without warning. The dealer stated that the seat frame was fractured in two different places. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 74,000...updated 10/08/14 hyundai agreed, to fix the vehicle. Updated 10/2/14

Was taking off from stop sign and see broke off metal frame and about threw me in the back seatlooked under seat and saw metal seat frame was broke on both sides very scary.

The contact owns a 2007 hyundai entourage. The contact sated that the driver's seat separated from the metal base and caused the electrical system to malfunction. The driver side seat would move freely while the contact driving. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who advised that the driver's seat would need to be replaced. The driver's seat was replaced. The vin was not available. The failure and current mileage was 110,000.

The contact owns a 2007 hyundai entourage. While driving 25 mph, the driver's side seat detached from the base. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the seat needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 158,000. The vin was not available.

Front mounts on drivers seat have broken, now the seat rocks back & forth.

The contact owns a 2007 hyundai entourage. While the contact was driving approximately 20 mph approaching a traffic light, the front driver's seat unexpectedly collapsed in a backwards motion as a result of a fractured frame bracket. The vehicle was maneuvered to a safe location and the contact re-attached the frame with a rope as a temporary repair. The same day of the failure, the contact welded the frame bracket for a permanent repair. The manufacturer was not notified of the defect. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000.

I was driving the speed limit when all of sudden my hood flew up, smashed my windshield, thank god i was able to pull over and no one was hurt but, my hood was crunched and my windshield shattered, set up an appt. With hyundai dealership as they told me the latch for hood had been recalled.on my way home stopped for gas, pulled in behind a man with his young child in a car seat when the van just started to accelerate, i couldn't stop, even holding both feet on the brake peddle, my husband reached over and turned the van off.we slammed into the back of the car with the baby in it, again, thank god no one was hurt but had these been different circumstances who knows what would have happened.have no idea what caused the van to accelerate, and am really afraid of driving now.

The contact owns a 2007 hyundai entourage. The contact stated that while driving 35 mph attempting a left turn, he heard an abnormal knocking sound. The contact exited the vehicle and noticed that the frame was rusted. The contact also stated that the brake lights would not activate. The vehicle was taken to a certified mechanic where they stated that the struts, frame and control arms needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 180,808.

Takata recall my brake light switch it's not working i was driving and when i stop to get something i parked and turn off the van that is when i see that

Brake calipers come losefaulty suspension of shocks, arms, etc. Become lose regularly

My wife drives a 2007 entourage se that currently has 96,000 miles on it. A short time ago the brake pedal got 'soft' or what some people might call 'spongy' or "mushy" accompanied with gradual 'leak down'or "fading" of the brake pedal. As this is normally a symptom of a failing master cylinder, i replaced the master cylinder. This did nothing to solve the problem. Next, i replaced the rear brake pads (although they were probably only half worn) to push more fluid back into the reservoir in hopes it would 'tighten up' the pedal feel. This also did not improve the situation. The front brake pads are relatively recent and not in need of replacement.i next took the vehicle to a dealership for diagnosis.the dealership indicated that what i was experiencing was a failure of the abs module (pump and control unit) that they don't see very often.based on the dealership advice, i replaced the abs module. This had no effect on the problem.in a final effort, i replaced the vacuum booster which also did nothing to correct the situation. After each of these repair efforts the brakes were bled manually and with the "auto bleed" function of a scan tool.note that there are no abs, ebd or etc diagnostic codes present in the vehicles diagnostic system.i've come to realize is the van is basically "unrepairable" by mere mortals. Perhaps a kia/hundai vehicle braking system designer with all the time in the world, following the 143 pages of brake system diagnostics present in the 2006-2007 service manual might stumble on a solution but i don't know anyone like that.thus, it appears that i'm going to have to donate this vehicle to a charity for the tax writeoff with full disclose that i would not recommend it be driven in it's current condition. This is a real shame as we've had this van for 10 years since it's 2008 purchase and it looks great inside and out.

When approaching cross traffic on a busy state highway from a business parking lot at low speed, my 2007 hyundai entourage experienced a sudden unintentional acceleration (sua) and was unable to be stopped on dry pavement.even though the foot brake was depressed with as much force as possible, the vehicle was slowed but still uncontrollably moved into cross traffic without my opportunity to stop and prepare for clear and safe entry onto the highway.the oncoming driver from the left, although not able to stop while sounding his horn, swerved to the left ahead of my vehicle thereby avoiding a broad-side collision with my vehicle.speed limit on this straight section of road was 45 mph and my car was still moving straight ahead at a 'walking pace' but still unstoppable.my car narrowly missed colliding with the vehicle that was passing in front of me to avoid the broad-side collision.after the car passed in front of my vehicle, i had maybe 12 feet until hitting the guard rail unless i turned sharply left which i did.once heading left on the highway in the proper lane, the sua ended on it own.the entire event was over in just seconds.fortunately there were no collisions and no injuries.nevertheless, this sua represent a dangerous safety concern which was reported to hyundai usa.

Brakes lights stay on even when brakes aren't activated

Driving auto at a slow rate of speed to stop at designated stop sign.brakes failed temporary until brake pedal was pumped rapidily.auto taken to independent repairman.found a recall on this auto-recall 09v122000 --hyundai recall no 092.part affected is the stop lamp switch.local hyndai dealer was called by repair shop and told that auto was not covered as it was made in korea?from the summary on the recall, we have also some of the malfunctioning problems:stop light stay on, shift interlock so the transmission shifter would not be able to be shifted out of park.in september we had a problem which was diagnossed as a defective master cylinder, which was replaced.now a determination has been made that the master cylinder may be defective again.i called hyndai customer service and was informed that this auto, by vin number, was not on recall.thank y ou for your consideration.

The contact owns a 2007 hyundai entourage. The contact stated the brake lights stopped illuminating. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing where the technician stated the brake lamp switch had to be replaced. Nhtsa recall campaign number: 09v122000 (service brakes, hydraulic) may be related to the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated the vin was not included in the recall. The vehicle was repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 75,000.

The contact owns a 2007 hyundai entourage.the contact took the vehicle to the dealer for a routine repair.the contact then noticed that the external brake lights would illuminate consistently, causing the cruise control to deactivate.the dealer told the contact that they repaired the vehicle under the nhtsa campaign id number: 09v122000 (service brakes, hydraulic:switches:brake light) recall without the contact's consent.the contact called the manufacturer, but denied any assistance with repairs to the failure.the vehicle was not repaired.the failure mileage was 35,000 and the current mileage was 68,160.

I bought a used 2007 hyundai entourage in july 2009. When we test drove it, there was no highway to take it on and it seemed ok on local road.there was a slight shimmy but we were told it was just from it sitting on lot.after purchase, when we took it on the parkway, we noticed a strong vibration in steering wheel at highway speeds.had front and back brakes and rotors replaced, and tires balanced as well - all non warranty repairs.the problem still exists and is occurring while going down steep hills as well. I am very nervous driving this car and will not take it on the highway not knowing what is wrong with it.

What is wrong with my hyundai is below, however, the hyundai dealer will not acknowledge since they say my vin is not included - help.report receipt date: apr 15, 2009nhtsa campaign number: 09v122000component(s): service brakes, hydraulic summary:hyundai is recalling 532,633 my 2006-2007 accent, entourage, sonata, my 2007 azera, elantra and santa fe, my 2005-2007 tucson and my 2007-2008 veracruz vehicles. The stop lamp switch in the affected vehicles may malfunction. A malfunctioning stop lamp switch may cause the brake lights to not illuminate when the brake pedal is depressed or may cause the brake lights to remain illuminated when the brake pedal is released. A stop lamp switch malfunction may also affect the operation of the brake-transmission shift interlock feature so the transmission shifter would not be able to be shifted out of the park position. It may also cause the electronic stability control (esc) malfunction light to illuminate, and it may not deactivate the cruise control when the brake pedal is depressed.consequence:any of these malfunctions, alone or in combination, may lead to a crash.remedy:dealers will replace the stop lamp switch free of charge. While driving approx. 30 mph (moving straight; not turning) a noise was heard, the front of the vehicle seemed to drop, and both steering and brakes became erratic.the van, still acting up, made it to a parking lot, where a visual inspection of the front driver's side wheel well indicated what i believe to be a broken control arm (see photo).this is a known issue with this vehicle, and late in 2013 there was a recall (# 13v556000).vehicle owners were advised to take the vehicle to the dealer for and inspection and either rustproofing or replacement of the control arms.on 1/20/14, the vehicle underwent this process and reported "inspected, waxed, and undercoated as per campaign" (see excerpt from invoice).no damage to the control arms was reported by the dealer's service shop.had i been informed of a damaged part during the "inspection", i would have chosen to replace it, as this is apparently vital to keeping control of the vehicle.over the past several weeks, i have done a lot of highway driving.had this happened at 65 or 70 mph, rather than at the 30 mph in the city, the outcome could have been disastrous.a police officer showed up to help and took down my name - i do not know if a formal report will be filed..

My wife was driving with children in the car and right hand side suspension control arm snapped in half. Car was able to be driven home but wheel was pushed up against the wheel well.

The contact owns a 2007 hyundai entourage. The contact stated that the sub-frame was rusted. In addition, the rack and pinion shifted which caused the power steering to leak. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the sub frame needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure and current mileage was 132,000.

Purchased this new hyundai entourage on 6/12/ 07 and reported to the dealership on 6/14/07 that this new vehicle has a serious front end vibration and pulls to the left. This vehicle has now been at the dealers service department on 12 occasions for 33 days and the vibration has not been corrected.we consider this vehicle unsafe to drive at highway speeds. The steering is very sensitive and you have to over steer the vehicle to prevent it from drifting to the left. My wife almost lost control of this vehicle when she relaxed her grip on the steering wheel when negotiating a long bend in the road. The car veered sharply to the left. If another car had been in the other lane a very serious accident would have occurred. My wife will no longer drive this vehicle on the highway.the dealership has replaced and balanced four new tires, skimmed the brake rotors and verified that the vibration and pulling to the left has not been corrected.internet web sites complaint pages for the hyundai entourage revealed at least 100 complaints for this vibration problem and hyundai has not resolved the problem.

2007 hyundai entourage.consumer writes in regards to front lower control arm and frame corrosion issues.the consumer stated the rust issue has been going on since the vehicle was three years old.

Dt*: the contact stated on the console, a chrome plate covered the section where the gear shift lever was located.when the sun shined, it reflected into the contacts eyes making it hard to see while driving.the vehicle was driven to the dealer who determined it was designed that way. Updated 11/0/906.

Automatic van doors fail to close and rebound open.the van has been in multiple times (over 10) the door assembly has been replaced at least 5 times and all recalls have been fixed.this van is not safe.they all need to be recalledto avoid serious injury.hyundai is not making this van any longer and has given consumers little hope to fixing the doors once and for all.i sat in the parking lot single digit temps, snow and wind chills with my young daughter while i tried and tried to close the door.they will not even close on the manual setting at times.this van is dangerous!

Driving approximately 56-57 mph down a state route rd when the hood came unlatched and flew up and shattered the windshield and breaking the hoods hydraulic lift arm. I found out the hood latch was recalled by hyundai prior to this happening and we didn't know. Hyundai was contacted and they are refusing to assist with getting the vehicle to the dealership and telling us that they are only responsible for the hood latch and not the other damage that was caused by the hood latch failing while driving.

Power doors won't open or close completely

I was driving in the left lane of a local highway with no median, at approximately 40-43 mph. It was about 7:30 in the evening on a friday and traffic was heavy. The hood of my entourage suddenly popped open hitting my windshield and obscuring my view. Luckily i was able to steer the car over to the right lane and then onto the shoulder, which is also minimal in that location due to a ditch. I am very grateful that my daughter and i are safe, that i didn't hit anyone and no one hit us and that i didn't hit any other stationary objects or end up in the ditch due to my inability to see where i was going. There is no reason why the hood should open by itself. No one had opened it for months. I had been driving up and down that stretch of road, sometimes multiple times daily without incident. There was no trauma to my car. No accidents, nothing hit the car prior to this occurring. It just suddenly flew open. It was bent out of shape, difficult to close, detached from the side support arms that hold it open when servicing the engine.a wrecker driver pulled over and offered assistance, we were able to close it together and he had to use a large wrench (i think i am no mechanic) to adjust the latch in order to even close the hood, let alone secure it.

Rear door latches are defective.they were due to be replaced under a recall.after the dealer could not get the parts for a year they finally replaced them with the same part on one side and only inspected the other side.the recall was to replace both with a new style latch.latch still fails and hyuandai claims the recall is complete.the dealer has told hyundai that they only inspected the latch which is not the scope of the work to be performed.i have tried to resolve this with hyundai and they just circle me back to the dealer.

Coming into my driveway, which i had done thousands of times before, pushed the open button on the van's mirror, my foot on the brake waiting for the garage door to open, my daughter to get out. However, before she could remove her seat belt, the van lunged forward with such speed, we were both screaming in shock. It smashed thru the garage door lunged with such force tearing down the closet in the back of the garage, running over lawn mower and power tools, and smashing everything in its path. My daughter, who is a professional driver, slammed it into park, and i turned off the key, still in shock. My foot felt like it went thru the floor i was on it with such force. My husband heard the crash (he is nearly deaf)so he rushed to pull me out as i was stunned, my daughter got out, called 911 as she smelled gas. The fire dept came and turned off the gas, did a meter reading and there was no natural gas leaks. In all my 60+ yrs of driving all types of vehicles, all over the world, my husband is retired military, i have never had anything like this happen. We were planning on packing the van to leave on a trip, if i would have been on a hwy or school zone or at a busy section of town, i shudder to think what would have happened, perhaps we would have been killed or worse, others would have been injured or killed. I've driven with the same insurance co. For 59 yrs and have a super good driving record, to this day, i can not get into a car or van and drive...this has really made me realize, that cars/vans are unsafe today. When my husband talked to our mechanic's, they told him, it happens often, that a garage door opener can set off the electronics in a van or car and it will lunge forward out of control. Omg something needs to be done to make them safer not more gadgets.

The passenger rear (slider) door fails to latch closed, either in power-assist or non-power-assist mode.as a result, the door may open spontaneously while parked or while driving.the motorized door's control protocols cause the door to open fully after the failure to latch is detected.if the latch electronic actuator fails, there is no access to manually close the latch while the door is in closed position.

Both of the rear door handles snapped off for no reason. We were stationary and i went to open it, no excess force or pulling. Tried to open and both broke off in my hand. The back windshield wiper hook also snapped and threw my windshield wiper off. I was stationary, i had taken off the old one put a new one on and it broke and lost my windshield wiper while on the highway! cheaply made handles and windshield wipers!

When the sliding door is closed it pops open again about 2 seconds after closing. This happens when the door is closed either manually or electrically. Vehicle is stationary when this happens.

The sliding door on the passenger side don't stay closed..when i'm driving the door slides open. Specially when i make left turns. It is very dangerous..specially when i carry 2 small kids..mechanics cannot find whats wrong with the sliding door..please help..

Passenger sliding door opens on its own.after parking vehicle on the street or in my garage i will watch the door shut and latch, and later it will be open.i have confirmed that it closed and latched at night, and in the morning it will be open.it has never opened while in motion, but this is a definite possibility.

As i ramped on to a busy interstate, the front hood latch gave way. The hood flipped up smashing my windshield and blocking all front vision.i was able to get over to the shoulder without getting hit by another vehicle.i was going about 60 mph when the hood latch gave way. About two weeks ago, same thing: the front hood latch gave way, but that time i was going only about 25 mph as i slowed down on a secondary road to turn in to the subdivision where i live. No harm done to the windshield the first time.first time i assumed i had not properly shut down the hood.second time, the hood latch and safety failed.

The contact owns a 2007 hyundai entourage.the contact stated that the driver side sliding door fails to open only when the exterior handle is being pulled.the failure occurs intermittently.the vehicle was taken to the dealer two times and they stated that the failure had to be duplicated more than once.the current mileage was 18,060 and failure mileage was 17,050.updated 12/12/07.

Power sliding doors sometimes open by themselves while vehicle is driving.

The contact owns a 2007 hyundai entourage. The contact stated that the side sliding doors came open whenever it rained. The contact had the door tied shut at the time because of the failure. The door would not stay closed even when the vehicle was turned off. The dealer mentioned that it was a technical service bulletin related to the failure and the vehicle will be repaired. The failure mileage was 30000 and the current mileage was 45000.

Driver side sliding door opened spontaneously and would not stay closed. It didn't matter which button i tried (driver control, door jam, or key fob), door would not stay closed.i powered it closed to drive to dealer - stopping several more times to re-power it closed on the way.part had to be ordered, so i repeated the above to return home.i was concerned about the safety lighting on the doors draining the battery while unlatched door sat in garage.by the time the part arrived (after christmas), car battery was at '0' charge (battery is only six months old).i had to contact aaa to get the car started to drive it to the dealer.my concern is that there is no manual override for the automatic doors, and no off switch for the automatic door lighting that drained my battery.i could have been on a freeway, i could have had passengers or goods in my back seat - serious safety issues!of course i need to have the problem repaired, but for safety's sake, i should have had the option to switch off the automatic door and manually close it.if i had not been in my neighborhood, this could have been much more serious.the next safety issue is the fact that the broken door drained my battery to zero!again, what if i had not been home?my 2007 hyundai entourage has only 53500 miles on it, i have no small children who abuse the doors, and i responsibly maintain my vehicle.the doors have already been serviced on two previous occasions.please create a manual override for the automatic sliding doors.

I have a 2007 hyundai entourage gls (base model with manual doors). I have talked with the dealership and the manufacturer to no avail. My concern is that if the 2nd row windows are rolled down and you open the 2nd row door(s), there is nothing to stop the door from rapidly bouncing back and slamming shut. In other words, if you are on an incline what so ever (hood lower than the tail), the door will come slamming back-possibly crushing your hand or a small childs head!! it will happen on level ground as well, but is more pronounced on an incline. This could definitely lead to significant injury, especially in a small child.

Sliding passenger side door opened on its owngoing around a turn, speed was about 25 miles per hour. Alarm bell sounded, i stopped car checked door reclosed and locked it.

In very cool weather(30 degrees or lower ) sliding doors freeze shut, can t open from out side or inside this has happened before 2/2011 some part was replace ia wasok until now. Is this a safety issue? i feel that it maybewhat happens if someone has to exit fast?

Power sliding doors do not stay closed, even if car has begun moving.sometimes reopen and close rather than latching shut, and have to be closed manually.one side has stopped operating all together and must be used manually.door being used manually is to heavy for children to operate safely and makes a grinding noise.issue started shortly after bumper to bumper warranty expired and has been persistent over the past 6 months to a year.is a safety concern for doors opening and re-closing on children exiting or entering the vehicle or door opening on a child while the vehicle is in motion.**date and mileage are approximate.

Driver side power sliding door opened while driving and will not close manually or using the power button.

Power sliding door failurethe power door will not open and shut automatically.it is very difficult to open manually.my service dealer mentioned these doors have had a lot of problems.

Power sliding doors do not close properly.the doors will intermittently try to close too far and an alarm will sound to signal that the doors did not properly close.in some instances, the door will open again.this occurs with both the right and left sliding door.it does not seem to matter if the vehicle is on level ground or uneven ground.we have had the van in for this fix on three separate occasions.

Rear lift gate will not close when power button is pushed has to be shut by force. Hard to open gets stuck when depressing handle.

As iopened rear lift gate it opened half way then started to close i was almost hit in the head when it started coming down.on2/4/14 same incident happenedlift gate opens half way then closes on own.

We noticed the front right side of the vehicle was almost resting on the tire. Had a mechanic take a look at it and the front drivers side spring was dropped down. Found a recall for hyundai santa fe amd sonata with exact same problem.hyundai refused to acknowledge problem could also be in the entourage.

The contact owns a 2007 hyundai entourage. The contact stated that when driving over a bump at 15 mph, there was a loud abnormal noise coming from the vehicle. The contact inspected the vehicle and noticed that the drivers side coil spring was fractured. The vehicle was towed to the dealer. The technician diagnosed that the coil spring fractured, puncturing the tire and brake line. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 75,000.

The contact owns a 2007 hyundai entourage. The contact stated while driving 40 mph, there was an abnormal sound coming from the engine compartment. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact pulled over and upon investigation noticed that the front driver's and passenger's side wheels were pointing in the opposite directions. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed with needing driver's and passenger's side control arms to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with nhtsa campaign number: 13v556000 (suspension). The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 122,000.

The contact owns a 2007 hyundai entourage. The contact had received a manufacturers recall on the corrosion in which they coated the frame of the vehicle. The contact was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 13v556000 (suspension), the dealer provided coating as the solution from the manufacturer, which caused a failure. The contact experienced the front driver side control arm and the front passenger side control arm fracturing shortly after the recall repair. The contact has not yet been referred to a dealer. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and they refused to provide a solution and indicated that the vehicle would need to be repaired by a dealer. The failure mileage was not available.

The contact owns a 2007 hyundai entourage. The contact stated that nhtsa campaign number: 13v556000 (suspension) had surpassed a reasonable time for repair. The dealer was made aware of the failure and stated that the part was not available. The manufacturer was not contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact had not experienced a failure.

The contact owns a 2007 hyundai entourage. While undergoing routine maintenance, the independent mechanic advised the contact that the front lower control arm was severely corroded and needed to be replaced. Prior to being notified of the corrosion, the vehicle was remedied under nhtsa campaign number: 13v556000 (suspension). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 92,000.

While making a slow right hand turn a loud noise was heard.a grinding noise from the left front wheel area continued while driving slowing thereafter whenever the wheel was turned slightly.this could have been catastrophic if this failure occurred at highway speed, resulting in a possible loss of steering function. Upon disassembly of the left side strut assembly, it was found that the upper spring mount had corroded to a point that there was insufficient material remaining to sustain the load levels exhibited by the vehicle on the strut. The mount had literally broke into 2 main pieces.it appears failure was due to excessive corrosion due to road salt use during the winter months.it was also determined that the left side wiper pivot had a rubber diverter under it which actually let the water from the cowl area drain directly onto the top of the strut mount.this might have also contributed to the amount of corrosion present.right side strut was also repaired as a precaution.there was less corrosion of the upper spring mount present and imminent failure probably would not have occurred for a period of time.

My wife was driving with children in the car and right hand side suspension control arm snapped in half. Car was able to be driven home but wheel was pushed up against the wheel well.

Vehicle was moving at 50 mph on a county road. Failure of drivers side lower control arm. Loss of control of steering and damage to tire and wheel well.

New vehicle with front end vibration/shimmy..extremely unsafe to drive above 70 mph, the entire steering wheel shakes. All contents and passengers in minivan vibrate or shake.brought to dealership 2 times. Total of 12 days. The 1st 4 days they changed tires and re-aligned all 4 tires.drove vehiclle back 3 days later. They kept the car for 8 days and changed axle with a used vehicle with over 5000 miles on it, hoping that the axle was the problem. Drove for 10 minutes, still vibrates entire vehicle from 10 mph and higher. Test drove brand new 0 miles...went 30 miles and it also vibrates/shimmy.

The contact owns a 2007 hyundai entourage. While driving 30 mph, the front driver's side control arm fractured. The vehicle was previously serviced per nhtsa campaign number: 13v556000 (suspension). The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the cause of the failure was undetermined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

I feel that something as importantas a lower control arm on my 2007 hyundai entourage shouldnt rust and break into in 11 years when the ball joint is still in good shape

We received notice of the recall of the control arms on our 2007 entourage in december 2013, and immediately took it to the dealer to be repaired. They inspected and "rust proofed" per the instructions in the recall; however, that repair is not sufficient. Yesterday, while driving on a residential street, one of the control arms completely snapped. While it's inconvenient for us to be stranded 3 hours from home and work while our van is being repaired, i'm more concerned that it could have happened while driving on the interstate today, where we could have been severely injured or killed, and possibly have injured or killed someone in another vehicle on the road if a crash had occurred. The only fix for this should be replacement of the control arms.

Passenger electric sliding doors do not latch properly. Latching the door make take several attempts.shaft humming while on gear on active gas pedal. The noise disappears when the gas pedal is not used while in gear.

In april 2013, our entourage was serviced to repair the front stabilizers that were causing the vehicle to shimmy at high speeds.i took the vehicle back again today (may 22, 2014) because the same part is causing the same problem. I am convinced this is related to recall 13v556000 suspension nov 06, 2013. They refused to look at my vehicle unless i agreed to a $95 fee. After complaining to a manager about it, he agreed to inspect the vehicle at no charge. I was asked to wait while they looked at the vehicle. Ten minutes later, the service advisor came into the waiting room and said they didn't have enough mechanics today to look at the vehicle in a timely manner. I was asked to bring the entourage back at a later date when i could leave the vehicle there because the vehicle had a few recalls for non-suspension and non-safety related issues. When i asked him what the recalls were for he just said it was for a heater core and a few other non-safety issues. Not once was the above suspension recall mentioned or eluded to. I have received a number of letters from the dealer stating they would give me a great trade-in deal on the entourage van because it was a highly sought after vehicle. I now believe there are ulterior motives for wanting me to trade-in the van. They don't want to deal with all the recall and technical issues related to the entourage. What worries me is that were are not told about or receive recall notices or defective part issues. Nhtsa/odi would probably receive more complaints, but people probably aren't aware of the shady non-disclosure practices of dealerships. I have also submitted a separate complaint about other recalls for which we never received notice and may have been responsible for a crash back in december of 2011. There are more issues on this vehicle that i haven't submitted a complaint for, but will talk with you about if you so desire.

My van after sitting for a few weeks, i took it out on the road and the front suspension dropped on the drivers side.the whole suspension dropped and was sitting on my tire...i checked with our local dealer and they said their was a recall back in 2014 and supposedlywas coated with wax? well the wax did not work.they should of replaced this then.now i'm stuck with a van i can't drive.i want to have this fixed on hyundai.if i was on the highway going fast when this happened and killed my family i'd be asking for millions of dollars.this van is dangerous.i will have to talk with my lawyer regarding this.

We noticed a loud thumping noise coming from drivers side tire area, when we took it to the dealer they told us the left sway bar endlink and inner tie rod needed to be replaced and the car was out of warranty so we would have to pay for it. I told them that i thought that the car had to few of miles for something like that to go wrong to which they replied "welcome to the world hyundai they use cheap plastic parts", needless to say i was upset. I have since taken the car to firestone and they said the repair could run over a $1,000.00 which i do not have. I have gone on line and found many complaints about this same issue. I feel that this is a definite safety issue and should be looked into before someone gets hurt or killed due to the problem, that is if they have not already done so.

Other parts needed to be repaired but were on backordered. The failure mileage was approximately 32,000.

2007 hyundai entourage.consumer writes in regards to front lower control arm and frame corrosion issues.the consumer stated the rust issue has been going on since the vehicle was three years old.

Vehicle in motion and van out of control related to the corrosion of control arm.children (3) in the car. Recalled 2007 and 2008 vehicles!why not mine?live in nebraska with salt-infested roads and this van has many issues!my vin number not associated with the recall which is completely unfair.have put so much money in this vehicle which will not run.the dealorship wants to charge me 2700.00 to fix their error in manufacturing!not to mention the tires, electrical, latches!i paid 29,000. For this vehicle and it is the limited edition, the best they offered.they have made so much money off of us and do not stand by their vehicle.my mom was killed by a faulty airbag that should have never of went off!i am so angry as well as broke.why or how can this even happen?what can i do when i have no money left as well as a vehicle?they find every reason not to fix.i need help, not sure what to do next or what my options are.

Brake calipers come losefaulty suspension of shocks, arms, etc. Become lose regularly

The contact owns a 2007 hyundai entourage. The contact stated that the steering wheel was loose. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where a diagnostic was performed and located the failure at the steering bushing. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure.the failure mileage was 36,000 and the current mileage was 40,100.

I was driving on the street and heard a snap i then pulled over contacted a tow company and brought it to the nearest mechanic shop was told that my control arms are so rusted that they snapped on both sides left and right one cracked completely through the other 1 has just a crack but was not completely broke had to pay for the repairs at $2677 later to find out that in 2014 a recall was made recall 115. I just purchased this car however records don't show this as a active recall so either it was serviced and not properly fixed therefore still making it dangerous for my family and others or was never completed and being sold as a unsafe vehicle to my sister whom i brought this vehicle from. When she bought it nothing about this recall 115 was listed so she was not aware when selling this van to us.

Front lower arm was corroded and broke while i was driving it which could've resulted in loss of control of vehicle/crash. Seems this issue was recalled on every 2007 entourage except mine.

My 2007 hyundai sonata se has a serious front end shimmy at 44 mph. It seems, per chat rooms and websites, that there are other owners with the same problem. I drove another car and it had the identical problem. Dealer has checked and balanced etc.. But not help. I believe there is a design flaw in the 2007 hyundai sonata when equipped with the 17" wheels and low profile tires.

I own a 2007 hyundai entourage and have had front end vibrations over 68 miles p/h for over a year and have taken this vehicle to the dealer almost every month and still have had no luck with a remedy.we live in the mountains and this is very unsafe at times when traveling down hill and you steering vibrates like crazy.common maintenance has been done (balance, alignment etc).

The contact owns a 2007 hyundai entourage. While driving 25 mph, the front driver's side lower control arm fractured. The contact stated that the vehicle was repaired per nhtsa campaign number: 13v556000 (suspension) five years ago. The contact was concerned that the recall repair was insufficient and that there should be an annual inspection to ascertain possible damage. The vehicle was towed to gary rome hyundai (located at 150 whiting farms rd, holyoke, ma 01040, (413) 536-4328) to be repaired a second time. The manufacturer was contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 114,000.

The contact owns a 2007 hyundai entourage.

The contact owns a 2007 hyundai entourage.the day after the vehicle was purchased, the contact noticed ripples on the right side of the quarter panel.the vehicle was taken back to the dealer and they kept and repaired it for two weeks.shortly after she retrieved her vehicle, she noticed a severe vibration when driving over 55 mph.the vehicle was returned to the dealer and they stated that the failure was due to bent rims.the tires and rims were replaced, but the failure was never fully corrected.the vehicle has since been taken to the dealer on numerous occasions, but they stated that nothing else could be done.the powertrain was unknown.the failure mileage was 1,300 and current mileage was 18,000.

Power doors won't open or close completely

Hood latch recall

I would not recommend the 2007 hyundai entourage to anyone!!we purchased our new entourage in july 2006, my first problems started occuring in august 2006 and have yet to cease!i have been in a loaner car more than i have been able to drive my car since we purchased it.i do not feel safe driving long distances in my entourage anymore, not knowing what is going to happen next. Some of the problems i have had :lumbar support "blew out", door lock acuator went out, timing belt had to be replaced, button on upper console annoying rattle, abs light comes on, air bag light comes on, tpms problems, back of drivers seat falling off, check engine light has came on repeatedly and have almost been stranded twice (luckily i didn't have my three year old in the car at the time), was caused by different things each time. Dropped vehicle off this morning, since getting my car back the last time, which they had for over two weeks and i was able to drive for one day before problem occured again, my car has been vibrating a lot when slowing down or stopping at traffic lights, etc. (anytime i have to use the brake) i have to hold on tight to the steering wheel because the vibration is so bad.took to dealership today and drove with manager, saying that the problem is my rotors.when i asked what caused the rotors to do that, i was told that driving through a puddle of water or having to brake suddenly would do it and that was with all cars not just my entourage.well, this isn't the 1st car that i have owned over the years and i have never had this probelm.too many problems for a brand new vehicle to be having.i am very disappointed.everyone states that hyundai has the "best warranty" - i didn't know that meant i was going to have to have something fixed every month.if i didn't have the warranty, then i guess my entourage would be sitting on the side of the road somewhere.having to deal with bbb auto line. Not worth the hassle.

When i tried to pull out onto the highway, the accelerator wouldn't work. The van was coasting slowly, but the gas pedal had no effect, even pushed down to the floor. I was able to pull off to the side of the road, and the esc off light, and the check engine light were both on. I turned the vehicle on and off, and it started working again. The check engine light is still on. This is a major safety issue. I was lucky that day, because there wasn't any traffic coming, but if i was on a busier highway, it could have caused a major accident.

Took in my vehicle to a hyundai dealership to repair a recall (hood latch) and get inspected while i was there. They said i had a major oil leak and would cost 2,000. And it could be a fire hazard. Valve cover gasket was leaking on the alternator.my husband changed the oil and that had a small leak when we got the vehicle but over time it was covering the alternator. We left after we paid for an inspection that didn't pass. We never had a problem with it passing other year at local places. Then we saw online how other hyundai's had a recall for the same problem we were having. I feel like the dealership knew this and was looking to make a profit off of us regarding this manufacturer defect.

One day the automatic sliding passenger side door did not open. I turned power off and a few days later brought it to dealer for repair. That was june 19, 2008, today is august 11 2008 and i still do not have my car back. They have replaced the bcm, door assembly switch, reprogrammed key fobs, amongst the repairs. Now they finally brought and engineer in and they are working on replacing the floor wiring harness - still no guarantee the problem will be fixed.

Vehicle was on highway and had traveled approx 8 miles then while lightly braking from 50 mph. Hood flew up and broke windshield and damaged hood. I believe this to me a secondary hood latch failure similar to the recall forkia sedona which is nearly identical to the hyundai entourage.kia and hyundai produced these cars as a joint venture vehicle.

2007 hyundai entourage. Consumer states unintended acceleration. Consumer requests reimbursement for additional costs.*tgwthe consumer stated when she attempted to apply the brake to stop a stop sign, the engine revved at a high rate.the consumer quickly placed the vehicle into park. The second incident occurred while running errands and the same thing happened.the consumer drove to the dealer. However, they were unable to find anything mechanically wrong with the vehicle.

The contact owns a 2007 hyundai entourage. The contact was driving 40 mph when the vehicle stalled and the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact had to wait a couple minutes before the vehicle was able to be restarted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who advised that the accelerator position sensor and the throttle assembly needed to be replaced.there were no recalls for the failure. The manufacturer was notified who offered no assistance. The failure mileage was 80,000.

The contact stated that while the driver attempted to park with the brake pedal depressed, the vehicle independently accelerated causing the contact to crash into the residence. A police report was not filed. The driver and a passenger sustained minor injuries that required medical attention. The vehicle was destroyed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 46,000.

When driving the car it unexpectedly does not allow acceleration to occur. The car stalled while pulling out into traffic causing a near accident. Had to turn off the car and restart it.

Front wipers stopped working while driving in rain.

Was driving in the rain andwipers was working and all of a sudden stopped in the middle of the windshield was not able to see!!!

Takata recall my brake light switch it's not working i was driving and when i stop to get something i parked and turn off the van that is when i see that

The spare tire assembly was so rusted that you couldn't remove the spare donut. The front drivers side regular tire had a small nail in it resulting in some air loss. So town fair tire in tewksbury ma agreed to plug the tire because they could not remove the spare tire do to heavy rust in which they also said that this is a common problem to this model vehicle. Also i agreed with town fair tire that i would get it up to my dealership: jd by rider up in manchester nh asap for extra services. Jd by rider sent my vehicle to town fair tire in manchester nh & t.f.t. Also recommended a brand new factory spare tire assembly. I ended up having to buy 4 brand new replacement general grabber tires p75-65r-16 tires. Also jd by rider had to buy another spare donut tire for putting it in the way back of my vehicle. The original spare tire is still frozen underneath the passenger rear of my vehicle. I had to drive to town fair tire thinking that the front tire just needed some air put in it but tft took it off the rim & discovered the nail in it right near another plug. That was why they were hesitant on putting in the new plug.

I had for yokohama avid ascendblu earthtires installed at my local hyundai dealership on5/21/2016.cost was nearly $1000 installed!!vehicle mileage at installation was 171,500 miles. This vehicle has become a secondary vehicle and rarely gets used. The vehicle currently has 175,700 miles (5/1/2018).over the past two months, all four tires have hadinternal belt separation.all four tires had the same manufacturing date of 85d4015stamped on them. I have had to replace all four tires due to this very dangerous and possibly deadly condition.discount tire called yokohama to explain the situation. Yokohama declined to replace tires free of charge even though these tires were fairly new with 80% tread remaining. They agreed to cover 60% of thecost to replace the four tires.i paid roughly $300 to replace the four tires. Yokohama is manufacturing defecftive tires and getting away with itbecause the government has done nothing to alter theirdefective manufacturing process. Unfortunately, they are possibly killing people in the process.
