When consumer stepped on theaccelerator vehicle had no power. In order to get transmission to shift gears consumer had to remove foot from the gas pedal.when starting to drive and stopping at a stop light it turned green and the vehicle resisted, it had no power.once starting to drive, 60 mph was the fastest it would go.then, smoke came from under the hood and consumer could smell transmission fluid.she pulled to the side, lifted the hood, and saw transmission fluid all over the vehicle.transmissionburned up.consumer reported it to manufacturer, who told consumer that they could not help her because vehicle was not on recall.
While driving the vehicle veered abruptly to the right and hit a tree, upon crossing a grille in the road the right front wheel suddenly loosened and did not respond to steering.*nlm
Consumer received recall campaign 01v346000 regarding pvc hose replacement. Consumer made 5 attempts to have vehicle serviced. However vehicle was never repaired.
Hyundai accent.consumer writes in regards to rental vehicle sudden acceleration.the consumer stated as he backed out of a parking space, he noticed the vehicle turned slightly, not backing out directly.while in reverse, because the vehicle wasn't going exactly straight as he began to back out, he stopped in order to keep the vehicles right front side/fender from contacting the left side of the vehicle on his right and drove forward a little to straighten out. After correcting the backward direction and stopping, he began to reverse, resuming a slight turn movement, then all of a sudden, while doing so, the vehicle suddenly raced backward uncontrollably, seemingly increasing in speed in a wide curving manner. With no time to straighten out, he shifted the gear into park, but to no avail. The vehicle crashed into another car, which was parked in a nearby stall stopped.
