On 5/15/2013 my daughter was involved in a 1 vehicle accident on interstate 40 east in amarillo texas. She was driving a 2013 hyundai accent leased new in february. This was a violent crash in which the car rolled numerous times. Not one airbag deployed and the car was a total loss.neither hyundai nor the dealer seemed worried about the situation. I spoke with both hyundai and amarillo hyundai and was blown off. Safety apparently is not their priority, just the sale of an unsafe product.

The contact owns a 2013 hyundai accent. While driving 15 mph, the vehicle crashed into a wall. The air bags did not deploy. A police report was filed and there were no injuries. The vehicle was towed. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 68,000. The vin was not available.

My daughters were in a three car accident on 13 june 2019. They were rear ended which caused them to hit another car in the rear; no air bags deployed. They suffer from neck pains, shoulder pains, back pains, and headaches. Why install airbags if the are going to be no use during an accident?!? i'm very disappointed in hyundai!!!

Vehicle was stopped in traffic on city street.an suv driven by an 86 year old driver crashed into the rear and pushed the vehicle into a truck stopped in front of the vehicle. Vehicle was a total loss. None of the air bags inflatedevery one of the airbags in the vehicle that hit mine did inflate.

On monday, october 14, 2013 i was traveling east bound on us17 in suffolk, va at approximately 8:30pm at the posted speed limit of 50mph when i struck a full-sized male deer head-on. He came out of nowhere - he was notin the road or my line of vision prior to me striking him. The vehicle came to an abrupt halt, but no airbags deployed. The deer flew into the median, where it died. I immediately contacted the local police and i have an incident report. I then contacted my insurance company and arranged for the vehicle to be repaired. No one can tell me why the airbags did not deploy. I have pictures from all sides of the vehicle detailing the damage. I would think that a head-on collision at 50mph would warrant an airbag deployment. I no longer feel safe in this vehicle, and am now afraid to drive at night. I have filed a complaint with hyundai directly, and they have sent me a laundry list of items that they wanted me to provide to them. Per my phone call with them this morning, that information was received on 11/04/13. On 11/24/13, the "independent investigator" contacted me regarding a visit to my vehicle to make a download for hyundai the next day.he did so, and took a lot of pictures and was with the vehicle for over an hour.i also forwarded him the photos that the repair shop took.last night i called again, and was given the name of "[xxx]" as the one assigned to my case.to date, i have yet to have any correspondence with this [xxx].i am very dissatisfied, i fell unsafe, and am completely frustrated with hyundai right now.the airbags, per their own manual, should have deployed at a head-on 50mph crash.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

The contact owns a 2013 hyundai accent. While driving at an unknown speed, another vehicle ran the stop light and crashed into the front passenger side of the contact's vehicle. As a result, the contact's vehicle spun and collided with another vehicle. The air bags failed to deploy. The contact sustained head, neck, shoulder, back, hip, and knee injuries that required medical attention. The front passenger sustained left ankle, head, right arm, wrist, hand, back, neck, and chest injuries. The rear passenger sustained neck, back, pelvis, ankle, and head injuries, which required medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing of the air bag failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and opened case number: 11439414. The approximate failure mileage was 55,000.

As i am driving my air bag light keeps popping on- i am scared the air bag will deploy as i am driving.

The contact owns a 2013 hyundai accent. The contact stated that the clutch was depressed inadvertently which caused the vehicle to crash into a cement pole.the air bags failed to deploy. A police report was filed and the contact sustained lacerations to the forehead and knee which required medical attention. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vin was not available. The approximate failure mileage was 18,000.

The contact owns a 2013 hyundai accent. The contact stated that shortly after stopping and parking the vehicle, the vehicle suddenly accelerated and crashed into the rear of a parked vehicle. The contact indicated that although the brakes were engaged the accelerator pedal erroneously went to the floor and the air bags failed to deploy. The contact suffered injuries to both knees and to the neck during the crash. No police report was filed.the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was unavailable.

I was in an accident on october 14, 2013 where i struck a deer head on at 50mph and the airbags did not deploy.i wrote to hyundai and complained, and after their "investigation", they determined that i was not entitled to any assistance.well, two nights ago, on wednesday, december 18, 2013, i struck and went under a ford f150 truck.i was pinned in the vehicle.my airbag did not deploy - again.how am i to feel safe in this vehicle?their "investigation" said that the airbags were in working order and that simply hitting a deer would not make them go off.well, this time i hit and went under a vehicle and was pinned in my vehicle and they still didn't go off.i am so disappointed in hyundai.this was my first new car.and it has lasted me 1 1/2 years, not even.i was not cited for the accident as the officer said it was not my fault.my insurance company is considering totaling the vehicle.i am beyond upset.i'm opening another complaint against hyundai, maybe they will "get it" this time.this is unacceptable!!!!!

On thursday oct. 9. 2014 i went to my car parked in driveway to go to work. I went to turn key heard radio come on then an explosion. I went back into seat left hand forward. I did not know what was going on. I realized airbag was out in steering wheel, did not know if car was on fire, got out called 911.by divine intervention my injury's were minor burn on my arm which was cleaned up at site, my home in driveway, fire report stated noticed minor burns on face, i was not aware, upset and in shock. I went up with tow truck driver to dealership where i purchased car brand new only year old, under 11000 miles on it.i demanded a car to use, i was crying at dealership. Manufacture tried to say it was an insurance problem which it is not, car blew up in my face when i started it.dealership came thru and has let me use a car for time being.i am trying to deal with manufacture and it is not easy.i do not want car back and i want them to pay it off. They agreed to outside inspector and now i find out i will not be aloud report. So now i demanded that i hire someone and we all go investigate car at same time, they agreed, still a work in progress at this moment in time, i do not know what type airbags they use but i have a right to know exactly what went wrong and for other people. I am lucky to be able to tell this story.

Cpsc: i1370075a. 2013 hyundai accent. Consumer stated his daughter was involved in a one car accident. Which the car rolled numerous times. Also, not one air bag deployed and the car was totaled. *ln

I was hit on the left front quarter panel area so hard the car spun around.the side airbags deployed but not the front ones. I had my seatbelt on however wasslammed against the steering wheel and my hands impacted the passenger windshield.i was rendered unconscious and had a temporary lapse of memory.i know have a pinched nerve in my lower left back and severe pain and bruising in breast right should area.i have been told that it could take weeks or months to heal.my daughter bought the car brand new a few months ago and was never advised of any recall/safety issues.

The driver seat belt will unbuckle on its own while driving. The light will go on to check the electrical wiring, the speaker on the passenger side goes in and out.

Car would randomly shut off or stall while being driven; car would not start up or turn over right after the incident occurs. Happened multiple times after bringing it to the hyundai dealership; getting the car back and saying that they can't replicate the problem while it is unsafe to drive. The cause of this incident is unknown.

Occasionally, when going to usr my vehicle, i will try to unlock the car with my fob and notice it won't respond. Upon starting my vehicle, the engine turns over but my electronics don't fully activate. My clock is off, the radio doesn't turn on, and i can't use the dome lights. However, my dashboard information panel does display my odometer, fuel, and temp gauge, and i can scroll through the display options, but they have all reset. My telltale warning lights come on briefly like a normal start, and when they go away my tpms telltale remains flashing, indicating it's not getting a signal from my tires. Finally, though my engine sounds like is running, i can't put my vehicle in gear. My only fix has been to let the vehicle sit with the engine running for any where between 2 and 20 minutes, turn the vehicle off, and retry. Once it finally decides to turn on normal, the clock will display, although reset, my tpms no longer displays, and i can get into gear. Time sitting seems to not effect it because it can sit for days and work normal or hours and act up. My only possible explanation seems to involve the weather after getting very cold or excessive precipitation, but even that isn't necessarily going to guarantee this problem. It may just be pure randomness and it doesn't seem right at all.

While driving the car it loses electrical power and the vehicle stalls, which causes it to lose lights, gauges, steering, etc. The car will not restart immediately after stalling out, sometimes up to an hour. This is a very dangerous situation and has happened over 8 times now. The local hyundai dealer said it might be the ip junction box or it might be a lose grounding wire and they will not give us a definite answer for a fix. The car continues to lose electrical and stall and is now unable to be covered under warranty due to the fact of the mileage is at 60,100. I see this as a manufacturing fault with the electrical system and hyundai should take care of this major safety issue at no cost to the consumer.

All three brake lights went out. We tried every basic fix but our personal mechanic says power is not going through the control module and we will need to have it specially repaired by a hyundai professional. We recieved a citation because our brake lights unknowingly went out and none of the obvious fixes such as bulbs, fuses, or brakes switch replacement ammended the issue. We are at a loss as to how to fix this but saw recalls on other hyundai models but not this one. We are thinking this is a similar problem. This has literally ruined our lives. We 100% depend on this vehicle and now we have nothing.

I have a 2013 hyundai accent gls , on 5/18/17 after parking andturning off the car for about five minutes i got back in and tried to start it up, and it would not even make an attempt to turn on, it just shut down completely. This happened again a week later on 5/26/17, i stopped at a gas station shut off the car, and after filling up i got in my car tried starting it up and again it would not start up, it seems to shut down completely.the second time this occurred i put the car in neutral, and it started up. I am afraid to drive it on the interstate for fear that it may shut down while driving it. This is a serious safety issue that can cause the loss of lives.

The contact owns a 2013 hyundai accent. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to start without warning. The failure occurred on several occasions. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who stated that the shifter was not reading correctly and the shifter needed to replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacture was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 70,000.

I was driving on a street when i went to make a stop. I was going about 15-20mph and had 3 car lengths room ahead of me. I tried to press on the brakes to make a stop, and the brakes did not work. The brakes ended up shaking and the brake pedal kicked back at me. It seemed as if abs kicked in prematurely, or esc kicked on prematurely. My wheels locked up causing my car to slide into the car ahead of me. I am not a mechanic so i am not sure which. I hit a vehicle in front of me. I took my vehicle to a third party dealership who ran a diagnostic on my vehicle and said without a doubt that my primary pressure censor malfunctioned, as well as a brake switch error occurred. The mechanic said this is without a doubt the reason the brakes malfunctioned. I tried to call hyundai, who told me they couldn't get the vehicle in the shop & to keep driving it for another 2 weeks until i could get it in their shop. I called hyundai of america & they keep passing me off. Finally i got a hold of a claim person, who said i needed to get certain paperwork in within 30 days of the incident in order for them to investigate. Now that the paperwork is in, they say it will take another 6-8 weeks to make a decision (they have said nothing about inspecting the vehicle). I am now terrified to drive and will never ever own another hyundai again! worst customer service ever, and i do have proof from a mechanic that this is not my fault. Per the service guys in hyundai, they said they can not duplicate the issue (they only drive it for 2 miles) so they will not be putting more time or money into figuring it out.

As i go up a hill or rapidly accelerate on an incline the check engine light will come on. The problem points to the knock sensor (code p0326) being at fault. This does not happen often but when it does it is disconcerting. I replaced the knock sensor with a new oem part, but it too acts the same as the old one. I called the dealer and they want to charge me $90 to diagnose the problem and then any labor/parts needed to repair it. However, i have read several reports online about a software update, flashing the ecu has fixed the problem. If this is so, shouldn't this be a reason for a recall?

I experienced theft in my vehicle which was parked in front of my home due to a malfunctioning remote anti-theft alarm system.i have a hyundai accent 2013 that contains the following security features: power doors and locks, wheel locks, airbags, hyundai roadside assistance, remote anti-theft alarm system, theft protection decals on windows.

I have had a problem with the right turn signal for over a year now. While driving at night when ever i flip up the turn signal to make a right had turn the high beams on the headlights go on. This always happens now. When the turn is completed and the turn signal goes off the low beams go back on. As mentioned this first starting every so often and has deteriorated to the pint it happens all the time now.

I was driving down the street to my sister house, when i got to her house i pulled up behind her carapproximately 10 to 15 ft. On the curb and on the street, i stopped the car, put in in park while still running, when i touched the switch to turn the car off, the gas pedal went to the floor and the car ran into the car in front of me not ejecting the seat belt.

Driving, all road conditions the car drifts left or right and the steering wheel feels like it hits a stop point and correction has to be made constantly. Dealer gave me another 2013 elantra to test drive and it drove well without the problems of my car.and it had more milage than mine.

On several occasions the car acts as if we have turned off the ignition and completely stalls except that the motor is still going in spite of our attempt to accelerate.the car has no power.needless to say this has resulted in near accidents.this has been an issue for over a year and has been at alexander hyundai four times for the same driveability issue.we have requested the throttle positioning switch be replaced under warranty and were told it could not be replaced until the unit fails.the unit failing could result in an accident and/or injury to ourselves or others. This problem was first reported to alexander in september 2016 and continues to the present time.

I notice my car had a 'knocking'/ 'pinging' sound and took it to the dealer to get serviced about 7 months ago. The dealer claimed they 'couldn't replicate the noise' which is false because i took one of the service representatives for a ride to show him the noise. They decided to clean the intake which helped, but the pre detonations are back again, this time they are more noticeable. I've read several accent owners in forums complaining about pinging, knocking, and pre detonations. Hyundai must act on this issue!

Knock sensor messed up and is causing the crank sensor to mess up also. My car will die in the middle of the road while drive and it's very dangerous. It will take roughly 15 minutes to start sometimes.

Our 2013 hyundai accent caught on fire was burnt so badly that the passenger front ttire melted. The fire started in the engine compartment. The vehicle had been parked for approximately 7 hours in the parking lot at work when it was reported to be on fire.

Car owners will have to take matters into their own hands. After 3 dealers, contacts with hyundai motors america corporate, and at least two contacts with the better business auto line, others and this manufacturer could care less about their cars and even less about the car owners. I think the ftc and nhtsa are bull. November 19 inglewood california small claims court case [xxx] judge ruled marina automotive llc dba la hyundai at laxengaged in "concerted failure to provide warranty service and constitutional public accommodation" did not have an"anti-discrimination policy" and "did not honor rights" of a car owner. Judge found hyundai dealer liable for $609 repair costs plus $115 court costs after owner of a 2010 had to go elsewhere for inspection after no inspection by the dealer. And a better business bureau complaint is pending against hyundai and its dealer asking for the license revocation of both and equitable damages of $25 million dollars each after dealer and hyundai motor america refused to inspect 2013 hyundai. The dealer la hyundai at lax's agent [xxx] said on august 15 voice mail to car owner after refusing to inspect: "...we have consulted with hyundai and we are completely within our rights not to service your vehicle....we read your blog of yesterday...and all the claims you made...we have already verified with hyundai that we do not need to accept any clients...please don't come to buy a car or to do any other type of shopping here ....for servicing it is probably best you go back to [the dealer] where you bought it from....we are under no obligation to service any vehicles for any customer that we are not able to satisfy." note that none of what the hyundai employee alleges here is stated in any of hyundai's advertisements or warranties. The warranty says a car can be taken to "any authorized dealer" for warranty inspection and repair.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

September 2020 the car would not start after sitting for awhile, i recently had replaced the battery. Once i got the car to start, when. I slowed the car cut off while i was on a busy street, it's not the alternator everything was still on in the car. The check engine light appeared before the car cut off. Got started again, was able to drive. I've replaced fuel pump, cam shaft sensors, new battery. Any time i drive it the car cuts out when i am at a stop light, the car loses power while driving on the highway, and have to change the oil more often than 3000 miles. I find that i have to top my oil monthly. My check engine comes on randomly and goes off randomly. When i took the car to hyundai regarding the check engine light, they stated it was a sensor issue.

On february 24, 2020 i was traveling on i-495 south during peak hour traffic at approximately 8am when my 2013 hyundai accent began to lose power with no warning. I managed to negotiate through two lanes of highway traffic to the break down lane where the car went completely dead. I waited a half hour on a busy highway to be towed to the closest hyundai dealership. They checked the car and found metal debris scattered all over the engine crankshaft.they informed me that the engine was irreparable and i would need a new engine for $5000 which i could not afford.

My car has less than 30000 miles on it and i have taken this car in for service 6 times for the same problem. The engine will not accelerate. All engine lights come on. No power steering. The happens when i take off from a light or will trying to accelerate at any given time. The first two times dealer stated it was from having a remote starter on it. I removed it and the problem still happens. I was almost in a car accident on friday2.17.17 as the problem happened in the middle of rush hour. I tried to work a situation with the dealer but they did not want to help me at all. The car is not safe to drive and i am not getting any answers with the dealer.

The contact owned a 2013 hyundai accent. While driving 45 mph, the vehicle came to a stop and the engine caught fire. The fire was extinguished by the fire department. The cause of the failure was not determined. A police report was not filed. The vehicle was towed to a tow yard and deemed a total loss. There were no injuries. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 92,000. The vin was not available.

Takata recall: i had took my car into the dealership multiple times while it was under warranty because it gets stuck when shifting gears and won't pick up the power when accelerating. While the on the highway it drives horrible and the steering is unpredictable. Each time that i took it into the hyunadai dealership they can't figure out what wrong with it. While it was still under warranty i did take it to other places to see what they would say and they all noticed the issue and stated that it appears that it's with the transmission. I did contact hyuandai directly and they refused to fix the problem and now the car is out of warranty and i am screwed!

Was religious on my 3000 mile oil changes. And one day the oil light cam e on and put a quart in and went for oil change at dealer next day...bone dry. It srarted night night before and was told its it storing oil or getting stick somewhere since no leak. Now new engine is needed.

The engine make a noise when is started in the morning. The noise sound like rubbing metal part like timing belt. The dealer recognized the problem on those vehicle also on other with the same mileages but up today does not have any solution for this problem. The dealer also inform that they tried replacing oil pump, timing belt and tensionerbut they still having the problem.the noise now could be hear during day use and the engine oil looks dark only with 1,000 miles of use.

Customer states that there is a rattling noise upon start up. It is more noticeable when the engine is cold, upon starting. Customer states that the noise can be heard in speeds lower then 40 mph. We have not serviced this vehicle in over a year and the vehicle has gone 25,000 miles since that time. Customer states that she recently went to the hyundai dealership complaining about this noise (rattling noise which is louder when starting the engine when cold). The dealership looked it over and said that there is nothing wrong with the engine. She again told them that this noise is noticeable to her. The dealership again told her that they did not find any fault with the engine.when started first thing in the morning has a knocking noise sounds like piston slap. Remove all spark plugs and bore scope cylinders and found that # 3 cylinder walls haveheavy cylinder wall scarring and oil is on the top of the piston (see pictures) .engine is damaged and will need to be rebuilt or replaced.oil looks clean. Did compression check and all cylinders were at 125 lbs except cylinder #3 which was at 100 lbs.has been into the shop for knock sensor codes and was sent to the dealer for reflash to correct.(tsb 15-fl-003) damage has occurred.

The contact owns a 2013 hyundai accent. While driving 55 mph, the contact heard an loud abnormal noise. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who stated that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired and was unable to be driven. The dealer and manufacturer were not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 120,000.

Was driving down the interstate and went to get off on an exit and pressed the brake to slow down and pressed the clutch in to start gearing down and as soon as i pressed the clutch something broke in the clutch and it would not engage anymore. I coasted over to the side of the off ramp and cut the car off. Roadside assistance came out and towed my car to hyundai of decatur. My car sat for three days before they would even pull it in. When they finally did, they didn't even get permission from the owner to tear the engine down. All he did was take off the valve cover and automatically tried to blame the engine being locked up on it having low oil which it did not considering it had an oil change on the 20th of june and the car broke down on the 29th. The mechanic did not even look at where the problem originated. Oh, and no check engine light or low oil light came on so that tells me that it has nothing to do with the oil. It tells me that there was faulty parts in the clutch and now they are trying every way they possibly can to get out of repairing my car under the warranty. So if you could please do all you can to get this out there that hyundai of decatur are hateful and treat their customers like trash and don't abide by their warranties. I advise anyone to never purchase a car from them ever.

My engine is always topped off on oil and fluids now all of a sudden a have a rattling and am terrified to go anywhere because i feel like my engine is going to blow up.

Se model. Supposed to get 29 mpg city. Getting 17-20 city. About feb 28 i applied for online appointment for hyundai's los angeles dealer open to the public. Hyundai handbook page 4 says, "regular maintenance and inspection by skilled hyundai technicians is the key to more efficient operation of the vehicle." since a past visit saw the dealer and police threaten me with arrest because of my [color] and demand for service, i wrote them in advance i might bring armed guard for protection. My online appointment asked them to check the mpg, steering wheel vibration, motor mounts, carbon in exhaust etc. Arriving mar 30 about 10:30 am with my own uniformed armed security, a man claiming to be hyundai security would not give his name, claimed the president of the dealership banned me from the property, that the police were on the way. I showed him my confirmation but he disregarded it. Since he had shut the gate in my face, i was not able to drive my car to the service area.i had planned to look at other cars for purchase at another car dealer next door. I went there withmy guard who was withme for meals at two fast food places andno workers or customers complained. About 11:00, still at the other dealer, i was surrounded by six inglewood police cars. The officers said they responded to call of a [race] black man with a weapon. The officers told me if i came back to the hyundai dealer they would arrest me and charge me with trespassing. Editor:if you read the ca. Trespass laws, i was not trespassing. I feel the dealer made a false police report to endanger me. I also had letter from corporate and the warranty telling me i could go to the dealer for service. Hyundai needs to fire some workers if they do not know how to provide warranty service that car owners are entitled to. Hyundai officials claim they will sue and arrest those who post on youtube about hyundai.

My wife and i, both over sixty, were driving back from ohio to connecticut on the penn rt 80, it was snowing and the road surface was slippery but drive-able.about five miles before the milesburg, pa exit, the car began to loose power and the windshield and the wipers iced up such that our visibility was impaired. I had to stop on the unplowed shoulder of the highway to clear the ice. It was very dangerous as large speeding trucks and cars were passing close by. The traffic included an irate penn state plow driver who beeped and yelled at us. When we restarted our trip, the hyundai accent would not go faster than about 15 - 18 miles per hour. We managed to get off the exit while riding on the snow covered shoulder after a very long and strenuous ride.the next day we drove the car, which ran perfectly, to the hyundai dealer at state college. The car checked out fine. The dealer guessed that the car went into a "limp home" mode because of the road conditions.i concerned that this car company would design a system that would put a couple of senior citizens in such life threatening peril. I feel that we were very lucky, any one of those big rigs could have easily crushed us. Other drivers, put in the same situation, may not be so lucky. Why was this unsafe "limp home" approved by the government?

Engine/power trainthe engine went out on my vehicle while i was traveling from houston to dallas texas on a major highway.i had it towed to hyundai dealership who diagnosed the engine problem.i was asked to provide documentation that showed oil change maintenance was being performed from 70k-82k miles. I provided that information to the dealership and they conducted a pre-approval and sent it over to hyundai corporate.after several days waiting and stranded in dallas, i received the news that the claim was denied for improper maintenance.unfortunately, i was not told what type of maintenance was needed since i provided the documentation requested that showed i did have maintenance. I called hyundai corporate to file a complaint and get a better reason for denial. I was told i should have received a call with more information and i still have not received any feedback.i visited a hyundai dealership back in november who told me my engine was going bad and provide paperwork. I was not informed by the dealership when this information was needed and how soon.i took the care for an oil change after visiting the dealership as it was time and the engine light went off. I feel hyundai is not honoring their warranty for my car although i provided the information they needed to show i was keeping up with oil changes.i have no vehicle and purchased this current vehicle under the impression they would honor their 100,000 warranty.my car is under 100,000 so i'm not understanding why they are not fixing my engine.

Spark knockdue to timing error in ecu dealership needs to send recall notice to do free update

Auto lights continue to stay on causing the battery to die

The contact owns a 2013 hyundai accent. The contact stated that water was entering the headlight assembly. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection where they stated that the failure was normal and advised the contact to turn on the high beam headlights for 45 minutes in order for the water to evaporate. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was 11.

Headlight bulbs keep failing in a rapid and repetitive succession, first incident occurred few weeks after purchase and now while i'm writing this on 2/21/2014 i'm on bulb number 7.i've had the car in at the dealer twice, each service took 2 hours and they were not able to find anything, independent tests confirmed that a voltage spike was occurring which could be causing the bulbs to fail, perhaps from faulty voltage regulator.this is a safety issue at this point because twice the headlight bulbs failed at night, both times on a highway, once with pouring down rain and other time was while passing throughout appalachian mountains. I should mention that high beam was not affected.

If this is so, shouldn't this be a reason for a recall?

...by may 11 2018 when the car have 58433 milesleft me on highway because fuel pump failure...and by april 20 2019 when the car have 71043 miles left me again on highway...both times in motion on highway.

The contact owns a 2013 hyundai accent. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked and unoccupied, both the front driver and passenger side automatic door locks activated independently. The failure recurred whenever the vehicle was in operation. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 8,000.

The contact owns a 2013 hyundai accent. While driving 65 mph, the hood flew open and slammed into the windshield. The contact was able to exit the highway and forced the hood closed. City auto park (4395 us-130, burlington, new jersey 08016, (609) 871-2800) stated that due to the fact that the hood was able to open and latch closed during inspection, there was nothing that could be done to repair the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that a certified hyundai dealer must inspect the vehicle. The failure mileage was approximately 90,000.

August 2011 purchased 2010 hyundai accent auto. 4 door sedan. Vin [xxx]. As previously reported to the nhtsa, in march 2012 a better business bureau arbitrator ruled that the car had suffered manufacturer defect transmission mounts. The dealer did replace the two mounts which substantially reduced a front end and passenger compartment vibration and shaking. Some vibration remained; i took the car back to the dealer. At two dealers i was told by about six hyundai employees that the remaining vibration was "normal". But i went for another inspection, the mechanic noted the vibration and said it was normal. But thirty minutes later, the service dealer wrotevibration "cannot be duplicated". So the arbitrator and hyundai corporate consultant [xxx] in writing witnessed the constant vibration and made such ruling after hyundai dealer said "could not be duplicated." october 2012 hyundai's [xxx] said vibration had been fixed; this was not true. The defective mounts need to be the subject of recall for the safety of other hyundai owners. The 2013 accent. Purchased august 2012.the owner manual says check for vibration in the steering wheel; and have loose bolts checked at 15,000 miles. By online appointment i asked the dealer: "engine idle is erratic, not smooth, please adjust; with air conditioning running, car idling in park, vibration felt thru steering wheel, please adjust; when put in gear, engine moves, please adjust motor mounts." la hyundai at lax cancelled the appointment and with corporate [xxx] refused to inspect the vehicle august 15 in person on.see site http://youtu.be/zaklz5_rrwi .

Aug 2011 bought 2010 accent automatic with 38,000 miles . After i complained of vehicle vibration [a known problem to hyundai] dealer and manufacturer replaced two transmission mounts as defective but refused to fix erratic idle and passenger area vibration at idle. Non-hyundai mechanics said vibration caused by defective upper engine mount. Now about 1000 miles and 2 months and there is play in motor mounts, vibration in steering wheel with compressor on, erratic idle, rough ride and bouncy floating suspension, and other small items, but vibration in passenger area 90% gone. Fuel economy not as advertised. I took car for inspection after online appointment with most conveniently located dealer l.a. Try to start car and it would not turn over. I had it taken to a mechanic and they diagnosed it as a faulty neutral safety switch. This has happened to me several times and has left me stranded.

This vehicle is extremely dangerous driving in the snow. I have driven a number and variety of vehicles in all types of weather across the country. I have certainly driven in worse conditions and in lighter vehicles in worse conditions. There has been a light snow all day 3-6 inches. I was driving on both the interstate and county maintained roads, all paved. Traffic was medium heavy, it was around 6 pm. The vehicle has no traction (it was not icy out) and kind of "bounced" through the snow, like it was going to stall. I started out at 45 but when i realized i had no control, i slowed down to between 35 and 25. If i accelerated in the least, the vehicle didn't really respond. It felt like driving a boat in the water where there is a delay. The car went where it wanted to go. I could keep it somewhat straight, but there was no responsiveness. I was at the mercy of the other drivers. I stayed in the outside lane with my hazards on. I don't know how to describe it, but it was like it wouldn't slow down when i tried to take my foot off the accelerator in response to it drifting, it choked like it was going to stall. It behaved like a stick but its an automatic. And it was like the tires "bounced" in the snow. Its those little tires. The reasons to not own this car just keep adding up. I'm terrified how i'll get through the rest of the winter based on driving last night. I've never felt so out of control in such conditions. It wasn't that bad out. I should have had more control. This vehicle should not be allowed on the road in the winter time. They should recall the vehicle or have to buy them back at the cost owed. I can't believe it's legal to allow a vehicle that performs so poorly in moderate winter weather to be on the road. How will i get through the winter? i now want to get rid of this vehicle asap before i end up dead.

The driver side seat belt on my 2013 accent is defective. Although the dealer and the manufacture agree the car is under warranty both state i must pay $110.00 for the repair. This car is unsafe to drive.

The driver seat belt will unbuckle on its own while driving. The light will go on to check the electrical wiring, the speaker on the passenger side goes in and out.

(my car has been driven modestly since purchase on 1/15/16) there are roughly 40,760 miles on my car.1/31/16i turned out of my work parking lot, made a left.my steering became uncontrollable at less than 15mph.i have a steady hand.i remained calm.but when i tried to break to prevent a possible collision into anything after the steering seemed to have gone out, i braked harder than normal, but not slammed.the car jerked uncontrollably as i pressed on the break, itfelt like the breaks were jumping/hitting the ground.on the same3-5mile drive home this happened several more times, drove half the speed limit and still persisted. This is cause for anxiety for any future driving. If panic had of taken over because such issuesthat alone could have been my life. I had quick thinking when this happened, not everyone does. My car is definitely not okay and i had several "almost" collisions on this one drive home when i was alert and aware something was wrong.granted it periodically worked as it should of, it never shouldn't have. Had this not happened at low speeds when the first profound lose of control occurred due to a mechanical issue, not driver error.and had i not been on alert with my hand awaiting to use the e-brake after it became very apparent something was not okay..i undoubtedly would have totaled my car and would like to stress the risk of injury that happened at low speeds.granted, i handled myself well, and made it home in one piece i fell apart after i was safe at home ,after it sunk in what could have happened to me.my car is not safe for driving. There is a service bulletin(service bulletin no.: tsb-13-at-008 )(nhtsa id number: 10052147)(hyundaiaccent2012-2013) that i believe this is related to and i very much would like to know if the repairs needed to make my vehicle safe again will be at no cost to me.

I own a 2013 hyundai accent, the rotors on the vehicle and brakes are giving me difficulties, the vehicle makes a load noise while driving which is very annoying, my spare tire was taken from the vehicle.i thought i had a warranty on the vehicle, i would like to know if this warranty covers the vehicle.i am disappointed that i purchased a new vehicle with issues like this i am unhappy with the vehicle at this time, i had other vehicles and never had a issue like this.i would like to get this matter resolved as soon as possible.

I owned my hyundai accent since october of 2012, the vehicle did come with a spare tire, after a few oil changes i noticed my spare tire was missing from the vehicle.around 45,000 miles on the vehicle i noticed my brakes were making a noise along with the rotors, the vehicle is new and should not be having these vehicle issues.i am very disappointed with this vehicle and would like the rotor situation fixed as soon as possible, i will be checking my warranty on the vehicle.i am disappointed with the vehicle issue and would like this fixed as soon as possible.

Driving, all road conditions the car drifts left or right and the steering wheel feels like it hits a stop point and correction has to be made constantly. Dealer gave me another 2013 elantra to test drive and it drove well without the problems of my car.and it had more milage than mine.

The car is has a very low body. As such, it gets damaged every time the car goes over a bump. The car has not yet hit 100,000 miles and it is already falling apart. I reached out to hyundai and asked them to take a look but they declined.

Our 2013 hyundai accent caught on fire was burnt so badly that the passenger front ttire melted. The fire started in the engine compartment. The vehicle had been parked for approximately 7 hours in the parking lot at work when it was reported to be on fire.

The better business bureau and hyundai consultant verified the vibration was still there but hyundai refused to fix it.i read newspaper article that said hyundai engineers worked hard on models to fix the vibration and other suspension problems so i traded the 2010 dog in august 2012 for 2013 accent se 5-door automatic, thinking lightning cannot strike twice in the same spot. Hyundai at lax [not selling dealer] and manufacturer ; three employees including owner and service manager would not inspect the car , shouting match ensued, they called police to remove me and car from the lot. See youtube site legaladvocate71 for videos and site attorney-ethics-elderly-abuse.com. Police ordered me off the lot. Still have not gotten inspection. Hyundai does not back their cars and will lie, retaliate, and threaten you with arrest if you seek service. This is a horrible auto buying experience. This does not include what happened at the selling dealer. Without availability of warranty service, the car is worthless now and forever in all areas. Hyundai will order you arrested if you complain.

My car is a 2013 hyundai which came with kuhmo solus tires... The tires had to be replaced after a year and a half, because all four tires had multiple bubbles on each one.. Complained to the dealer more than (4) times, to no avail... All they would say is i have to replace the tires, and they weren't covered under warranty.i feel that something is seriously wrong with these tires...every hyundai i've seen with these tires have bubbles in them...as many cars as i have owned...i've never had to replace tires on any one of them in under a two year period..i feel this warrants an investigation..

Chrome tape on driver's side door handle came loose creating a sharp edge that is a cut hazard when attempting to open the door.my daughter is returning to longwood university with this vehicle so i had to superglue and tape the chrome tape back into place.the chrome tape is starting to bubble on the right side of the handle so that part of the chrome tape will also be separating soon from the plastic

My car is fairly new. I was pulling into my driveway and my car just stop accelerating. It no longer starts up. I took it to a hyundai dealership and said they can't figure out what wrong with my car. Please recall

There is a rattling/crackling noise when accelerating. Has happened since i had the car, sounds like a wire being blown around when accelerating under the steering wheel area.

Ignition light- catalytic converter

Once i am driving on the highway the car seems to loose power almost like if the car wants to shut off the rmp goes low then the check engine light has turned on. I have taken it for its service on time and no issues but the good year rep told me the error code they received was p0326 which is the knock sensor and now the engine light went away but it has happened twice so far within the last two months.

The contact owns a 2013 hyundai accent. The contact stated that while driving approximately 5 mph, there was a delayed response in acceleration after the accelerator pedal was depressed. The failure recurred at low speeds intermittently. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer who informed the contact that the vehicle operated as designed. The manufacturer was notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 150.

My front and rear windshields cracked simultaneously during 9 degree temps from only the defogger. The front cracked horizontally the length of the windshield at the level of the vent, and the back cracked four inches horizontally at the spot the vent blows at.

I also purchased a 2013 hyundai accent brand new less than one year later had 15000 miles onit and had to replace all 4 kuhmo tires because they all had bubbles in them contacted hyundai they did not care and did nothing for me!!!!

The car was sold to us with no spare time.it has an air can system to inflate a tire.this will not work on a blow out.the system is faulty and a safety hazard especially with a blow out on the interstate.the instructions are hard to figure out and having a flat tire is stressful and dangerous enough without having to try and figure out a faulty system.
