Front tires were very unevenly worn with less than 18,000 miles. Another set of front tires had to be purchased with 55,000 miles due to again, very unevenly worn tires. Driver's side glass window would not roll up and down. Repair made by service dept. Of dealer. Headlights suddendly completely went out. While driving consumer was locking the doors and it was discovered that the doors did not lock from the inside or the outside. Consumer took the vehicle to the dealer, and dealercould not determinewhy the doorswill not lock.

Have ownedthe 9195 accent since 2000.drivers window handle broke within 2 years, requiring replacement of window assembly.outside and inside drivers door handles broke; making getting in and out the drivers door now impossible unless i pay $300 to have them both replacedas with the passenger side outside (which there is enough handle left to at least get in the car).i will not be buying another accent in foreseeable future.cheap quality all around.

When driving at any speed and applying the brakes, the brakes go straight to the floorboard, causing the consumer to pump the brakes and bringvehicle to a stop. Also,noise is coming from the brakes, and when applying the brakes, they feel like consumer isdriving on iron.consumer states brakes have been replaced four times. Transmission has also beenreplaced.in addition,some of thewindows won't roll down all the time.dealer fixed the windows, butthe problem reoccurred. Only one window goes down, the left front passenger's side window will go down. Dealer can't determine problem.

My car has been brought in several times for failure to start. This problem occurred initally after the car stalled and failed to start in an intersection on 11/12/96. At this time the map sensor was replaced. Since then several trips to the dealer have not diagnosed the continuing start-up failures due to the fact that they occur sporadically. The car does eventually start. I have contacted road side assistance several times due to this, and now just "live with it."my automatic transmission has not been able to release from park without depressing the inner override switch. I have not brought this in due to previous disapointments and loath of leaving my car and arranging transportation, again. My drivers door has been adjusted and readusted, however the gasket was not replaced when it began to sag as they felt that i should pay for this on 9/16/96 with 7675 miles. Neither side window cranks up or down, rather must be pulled or pushed. One window was adjusted just after my purchase, the drivers side was fixed when the driver's door was replaced following an accident, and that window now does not work! i replaced 4 tires within 20,000 miles due to unusual problems such as a "broken bead" the tire replacements were in addition to when i replaced all of the original tires at @ 35000 miles. The tires that i replaced were high quality 70,000 mile warenteed tires from sears. I have 5 payments left to conplete my sales agreement, and i am unsure if my car will make it!!! i am very unhappy with my experiences with this vehicle. ( dot number: tire size: p17570s13 )

During summer months, the high tempature effects my 1995 hyundai accent. The transmission has trouble shifting from first gear to second. This problem only happens when it is hot outside or i have taken a long drive, like on the highway. I have had transmission specialists examine the transmission and test all the sensors twice. They have not been able to find the problem.

The control arms were severely rusted, when the mechanic removed them, they snapped inhalf.hyundai fixed it under a recall.also the oil pan and transmission pan had completely rusted.

While driving about 65 mph all of a suddenvehicle began to swayback and forth all over road. Vehicle was driven to a body shop, wherelower control arm was replaced. Thiswas the second timethat control arm was replaced within one month. Please provide any further details.

Received manufacturer's recall # 058 concerning front lower control arm: vehicle was taken to the dealer.dealer inspected the vehicle , and despite a crack along the lower control arm, theonly actionwas to spray a rust retardant on the lower control arm.the vehicle was taken to a certified mechanic, who informed the consumer that the recall work was not completed on the vehicle. The dealer claimedthat recall repairswere done and that they were no longer obligated to do work for free.the manufacturer had been notified of the problem.

Request for reimbursement for replacement of control arms.*mrthe consumer replaced both control arms after a minor car accident. After reading therecall noticeit was highly probable that the defective control arms caused the accident. As a result of that, the consumer felt that hyundai should reimburse for the amount of $1989.73 for repairs and replacements. The consumers claim was denied, because the consumer was unable to produce the control arms for analysis.

While driving the car, the lower front control arm corroded through and broke. Car was very unstable and tires wore down fast. There was a previous recall on this control arm it was campaign number 02v341000. Service was done by hyundai in 9/2003 and part corroded and broke in 1/2007. Either service was not done correctly or poor quality parts were used.

While making a slow turn there was a loud cracking sound, vehicle was inspected and lower control arm on right had rotted out and broke in half.

After several hours of online research, i figured out that my car's front lower control arm rusted and eventually broke.i called a few hyundai dealerships to set up an appointment to get my car fixed.most of them were nice until i mentioned the fact that i thought it was a recall item.then of course they couldn't get me an appointment for a few weeks or i had to supply them with all my information over the phone.i didn't feel comfortable giving a stranger such information so i chose not to.once the car was at the closest location from my house, they told me that it was not a recall item based on the vin number.personally, i don't understand how else a front lower control arm can just rust out and break.so now what do i do.do i just sit back and pay alot of money to get it fixed or do i persue finding a way to get my vin number on the list of recalls?

Consumer complains that coil spring recall repair is not acceptable.repairs is to prevent broken spring from contacting tire, consumer feels spring should be replaced altogether. (98v-245)

Consumer received a recall to have shields placed onfront coil springs to prevent the springs from popping of the tire.the springs were already broken when the letter was received.dealer has been contacted, will repair at owner's cost.*ml

Consumer wants to knowif dealer should replace front coil spring, as well as installing a spring guide. Can you help in this matter?

Vehicle was involved in an accident in nov 97, inwhichwheels locked up after tire were blown; as of 12 of dec,consumer received mfr. Recall notice concerning front coil spring which she believed was cause of the defect. Would like to know how can one be reimbursed for this problem.

Rear wheels would make a rumbling noise when coming to a stop.also rear of car would sway when coming to a stop.when traveling from 45 mph and up, would hear a whining noise from rear wheels.

While having the recall for the front control arm donedealership noticed that the rear control arm that controls the steering for the rear wheelsnapped off. This could cause the vehicleto lose control andrear endorfish tail while driving.

Front tires were very unevenly worn with less than 18,000 miles. Another set of front tires had to be purchased with 55,000 miles due to again, very unevenly worn tires. Driver's side glass window would not roll up and down. Repair made by service dept. Of dealer. Headlights suddendly completely went out. Recall no 96v113000, the vehicle was fixed on 8-15-96. The vehicle will not align properly, and a severely pulls to the left,also excessive tire wear.

My car has been brought in several times for failure to start. This problem occurred initally after the car stalled and failed to start in an intersection on 11/12/96. At this time the map sensor was replaced. Since then several trips to the dealer have not diagnosed the continuing start-up failures due to the fact that they occur sporadically. The car does eventually start. I have contacted road side assistance several times due to this, and now just "live with it."my automatic transmission has not been able to release from park without depressing the inner override switch. I have not brought this in due to previous disapointments and loath of leaving my car and arranging transportation, again. My drivers door has been adjusted and readusted, however the gasket was not replaced when it began to sag as they felt that i should pay for this on 9/16/96 with 7675 miles. Neither side window cranks up or down, rather must be pulled or pushed. One window was adjusted just after my purchase, the drivers side was fixed when the driver's door was replaced following an accident, and that window now does not work! i replaced 4 tires within 20,000 miles due to unusual problems such as a "broken bead" the tire replacements were in addition to when i replaced all of the original tires at @ 35000 miles. The tires that i replaced were high quality 70,000 mile warenteed tires from sears. I have 5 payments left to conplete my sales agreement, and i am unsure if my car will make it!!! i am very unhappy with my experiences with this vehicle. ( dot number: tire size: p17570s13 )

The control arms were severely rusted, when the mechanic removed them, they snapped inhalf.hyundai fixed it under a recall.also the oil pan and transmission pan had completely rusted.

Owner states that her front defroster dose not defrost properly, she also notes that about 1\4of the window gets defrosted,dealer said it was a design flaw.

When driving at any speed and applying the brakes, the brakes go straight to the floorboard, causing the consumer to pump the brakes and bringvehicle to a stop. Also,noise is coming from the brakes, and when applying the brakes, they feel like consumer isdriving on iron.consumer states brakes have been replaced four times. Transmission has also beenreplaced.in addition,some of thewindows won't roll down all the time.dealer fixed the windows, butthe problem reoccurred. Only one window goes down, the left front passenger's side window will go down. Dealer can't determine problem.

The windows fall from the tracks very easily when raised up.repairs have been made on the rubber tracks and the problem still continues.

On my car window they have replaced so many times and it never has worked,the windshield wiper caused me to have an accident and that has been an ongoing problem

While in parkfront driver's side window shattered which can cause injuries to the occupant.also the front passenger's side window and the rear passenger' side window shattered while in park position. Dealer cannot determine the problem.

While traveling on the highway and without prior warning tie rod broke/ front end broke, causing the windshield to collapse.

Windows stick.

Purchased car new, two months after having car, the windshield started to crack from the bottom. Please describe .

Rim rusted through causing tire to go flat.

Vehicle in for repair, due to wheel lug nuts and bolts failure, after replaced caused vibration in the vehicle when brakes are applied vehicle pulls to left.
