I purchased a 2006 hummer h2 at cerritos hummer.i currently have almost 55,000 miles.today i was parking my car and noticed the steering was extremely hard to turn.also the brakes were really weak.i used all the energy i had to get into a gas station driveway.i drove about 1 block because i needed gas where i noticed oil dropping under the car.i checked under the hood and the oil was coming out near the power steering pump.i opened the power steering reservoir and saw that there was very little oil because it had dropped under my car.my steering is too hard to turn and the brakes are almost non existent pulling into the gas station.i called cerritos hummer and talked to their service manager and he said i was past warranty.i told him that there was a recall on this exact problem, but he said no and got very loud and mean to me.i told him he did not have to get mean because he can only do what the computers and protocol suggests, but he did not do enough research prior to rejecting any recalls.he said i would have to tow my car there and they would have to inspect and the charges could be high depending on the problem.i said there was a recall but he rejected it again in a strong tone.i did not want to argue in case they have to repair my car.i think that this problem is a serious health issue because a weak person would not have the strength to pull into the parking lot as i did.i pulled various muscles in my arms and shoulders steering the car into the gas station.i do not have another car and i don't think i can pay the cost to have my car towed approximately 25 miles to cerritos hummer.they said they would not pay any tow charges nor inspection costs nor costs to repair the problem.i spend way too much money at their dealership to be treated this way.i am usually an easy going guy, but the treatment he gave me really angered me.my back arms and shoulders hurt because the steering was so hard.

Vehicle had been driven approximately 2 miles from start time, was stationary and unoccupied for approximately 10-25 minutes.vehicle interior caught fire at the base of the top sitting area of the rear seat, flames from fire melted the over head interior light and ignited a fire on the head liner, which caused the fire to spread under neath the headliner and roof of the vehicle, melting the exterior paint.there was no prior indication of burning when driving or after parking the vehicle prior to the fire.fire department advised it was believed to be related to rear seat heaters malfunctioning causing combustion that lead to an interior fire.doors were locked prior to the fire, and store surveillance didn't show any signs of exterior tampering with the vehicle.

1. Normal driving in town and highway 2. Failure of the drivers side & passenger side exhaust manifold bolts; causes exhaust gases to fill engine compartment and bypasses the catalytic emissions equipment. 3. Drivers side head had to be removed, broken manifold bolts extracted from the head, new manifold and stronger manifold bolts installed.

Exhaust bolts broken, leaking exhaust fumes into vehicle , engine fire ???? city driving

The air filter covers on my h2 get hot and start deforming "ripples" in the plastic. The plastic molding between them where the wipers go through deforming also. I have replaced 4 air filter covers in under 6,000 miles. And 1 wiper molding. I am not sure of the consequences. Hummer says it's no problem. Ihave 1 of the air filter covers that has failed in my possession. According to gm/hummer there is no problem. They will just keep replacing them.

Heavy fumes are present inside and outside the vehicle after the fuel tank is filled and persists until the fuel gauge reads 7/8 of a tank.have not determined what is causing the fumes other than it only happens when the fuel tank is full.current solution is to not fill up the fuel tank completely.

The other day i took a ride in my truck and upon driving approximately two blocks from my home the steering control of the car totally failed. Imagine driving your car and at some point, you lose the capability of controlling your cars direction while holding your steering wheel.one can only imagine if i was going 65 miles an hour and driving on a highway then losing the ability to turn your wheels. I am blessed this malfunction happened when i was only traveling 10 miles an hour.after calling a tow truck and having my car towed to a local repair shop, it was determined the control arm bolt had broken off therefore losing total control of the cars steering capability. This is unheard of and something like this should never happen at all during normal use.with all of this i continue to think about how lucky i was to survive a mechanical problem of this sort and how i could have fatally injured someone else with this defected control arm of this vehicle.so, i decided to make a call to gm and report this issue and to advise the company of a problematic issue with the design or engineering of the hummers control arm steering componentthe company representative acknowledged my complaint and recorded my description of the events and the issues of the cars steering system. I reiterated my concerns about the issues and how not addressing this in some sort of a recall may result in deaths.i am attaching pictures of the part which the bolt had broken so you may consider a recall of the vehicle's control arm. I guess people need to get hurt before your company acts and takes this seriously.copy to browser https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10219081735095616&set=pcb.10219081750456000&type=3&__tn__=hh-r&eid=arbbiwleqebkoinfzrahtjt9y10vzur38f7wzeiwrinijl6kfvt5hc8_wo8pcpfcdelskfkiuerthou3please be aware of potential hazard.

Steering is very sloppy and vague at higher speeds.there is too much non active movement to correct direction.i have to move the steering wheel at least 6 inches constantly to even keep the truck straight.i hear gm has weak pitman arms etc..also the steering judders and vibrates and sometimes it gets stuck and goes when colder usually.sometimes brakes are strong, sometimes they are wooden and lack grip almost resulting in an accident.i keep much distance to the other cars so i did not crash.but i get a scared sensation when controls don't work correctly.
