The contact owns a 2007 honda shadow spirit.while driving 65 mph, the vehicle shook then shut off without warning.the contact stated that she had to wait ten minutes before she was able to restart it.the dealer was unable to diagnose the failure.approximately a week later the failure occurred again.as of may 5, 2008, the dealer had not inspected the vehicle.the failure and current mileages were 600.

I had my master cylinder replaced when my car was at 40,000 miles in the clutch. Now at 68,777 miles the clutch has something wrong but still shifts into gear at this point. Now they are guessing that the clutch fork is wearing out which is over $2,000.00 to replace. I was also told by another mechanic that my master cylinder doesn't look like a honda part. I can't afford to have to have this replaced right now so i was told i could drive it by honda. If it goes out on the freeway i won't be able to shift gears. My car is not been driving hard and it's well taken care of and serviced properly along with being garaged always. I put around 8,000 miles a year on it and i know how to drive it well. I don't race it or speed shift ever. I feel that this car has faulty parts in the clutch and plates along with the master cylinder. I'm not a mechanic but i do know a little about cars and did my research on honda's. They are suppose to have long time running cars. I even took out a 7 year warranty so i didn't have to pay so much out of pocket. If it was different things happening i wouldn't question it but this is all transmission things and i'm very worried that they were faulty to begin with. When i press the clutch down it sometimes catches at the top part. If that doesn't engage i can't slow down or stop.
