Takata recall - dealer will not provide rental vehicle.

Takata recall - received notification of airbag recall on 2/19/2016 from dealer as part of normal service, as of 4/29/2016 it has been more than 60 days since notification and defect still has not been repaired.dealer indicates parts are not available to remedy this defect and can not offer a comparable vehicle for loan.recall notice indicates to submit complaint 60 days after notification if defect has not been repaired.this is my formal complaint.thanks.[xxx], denver coinformation redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Takata recall-contacted dealer regarding nhtsa safety recall 16v-061.informed me part would not be available for months/don't have room 4my vehicle on lot.told could not have it repaired thru another dealer as this was where was purchased.i did not believe that was true/called honda dealer that is closer was told that i could bring the vehicle to them for repair/that it would be 4-6 wks for part to come in/be repaired that they also were already housing too many vehicles.i told them that i would try to find a spot to keep it as i have assigned parking at my home.i made it known that i needed it back no later than 6/20 for moving.was offered a ford fiesta as a loaner.i pay $450/month for my ridgeline+$130/mo insurance.i pay to have my husband on my ins.policy yet he is not allowed to drive the loaner.we are now in 2nd wk of july/vehicle is sitting dead in driveway more than 12wks later.i feel that they are not doing their part to keep us safe&are not living up to their end of agreement.they should have notified consumers much faster of the fatality possibility&that each of us has been risking our lives, the life of our unborn babies&the lives of others daily, some of us for years because of this failure to communicate the problem.they should have done better to provide myself&others with safe comparable vehicles until they can fix this mess.the 1st loaner that i accepted was a nissanaltima which has also been affected by an airbag recall that i drove around in for a month unknowingly until i heard it was also recalled&brought it back to the rental place on my own without being notified of the issue.this is completely unacceptable&has gone well past the 60 days that nhtsa states for complaints&is also well past the 6 week estimate that i was originally given.this is now4mo's after notice of recall&still no parts available?they are putting undue hardship/stress on millions

Never received an air bag recall notice. Found out when i tried to sell the vehicle. Now i cannot sell it. I have been told part(s) are on back order. They gave me a rental car. It has already been one month and it is expected to be at least a year before it is fixed. I need to sell my vehicle now. Dealer says they have a lot full of vehicles waiting to be repaired with airbags so they cannot buy back my vehicle, yet they are allowed to take it on a trade...this is ridiculous. I need to sell my vehicle. Help!

Takata recall.i have been without my vehicle for greater that 3 months. I have a rental that my kids cannot drive despite the fact that i spend literally thousands more in insurance premium to cover them!!!.american honda of no help.they have no date certain when my airbag will be available.i even offered to return my rental and purchase a new ridgeline if american honda would just credit me the cost of the rental - for which they continue to pay - towards the best price i could negotiate on a new ridgeline at the local dealer.no deal.they continue to pay for the rental - not a truck - and i continue to be without my vehicle; continue to pay higher insurance premiums for a car that my kids cannot drive.please help in any way you can.thanks, ted calianos

Need some help moving this along. Thanks.

I was stopped in a left turn lane behind another car.a third car came from behind at approximately 40 mph and hit my car from behind, pushing it violently into the car ahead of me.my driver side airbag did not activate on impact.i suffered facial and arm injuries from striking the steering wheel.i was wearing seat belt and shoulder restraint.my car was subject to prior takata airbag recall and airbag was replaced by dealer.

Takata recall: the vehicle i need to function cannot be rented while i await by replacement airbag. I need witha truck with a hitch and trailer lights. Light state doff for approximately 5 seconds and came on again and remained on and is still on on 11/15/18.somehow i was able to travel approximately 30 miles to the next exit, tucumcari, nm, without traction and limited steering. No report to police was made as police and tow trucks were fully occupied.there was no option for turning around or stopping and waiting for assistance.body damage was less than expected.there were no injuries.

When starting in motion after a stop for a traffic signal, or making a slow turn the power from the engine stops.i am a left foot brake, touching the brake pedal to control speed in traffic to avoid a stop and go rear end collision situation following other cars, the engine power stops. Pressing on the gas pedal to increase power does not work, but having pressed the gas pedal and removing my foot from the brake pedal causes rapid acceleration. Often making a left turn into a drive i will touch the brake to control the transition speed from the street to entrance drive of a shopping center. The loss of power leaves me in a position of being hit by traffic in the travel lane.please do not say left foot braking is dangerous, a quick search will show that right foot brake mistake the gas for the brake far more often than a left foot brake will mistake the clutch pedal for the brake. I have been tolerating this situation since i purchased the vehicle. The dealer where i purchased the ridgeline basically says "it is your fault for left foot braking" i have driven many vehicles in my life and have never run into this situation.

If you press the brake and still have a foot on the gas pedal, you loose all power until you take your foot off the brake.i'm guessing its the computer that causes this to occur.it could cause a crash for people that don't know this.

Fuel cap light comes on. I replace the fuel cap from the the dealer. The light still comes on. Replace the sensor on top of the fuel tank by a certified mechanic light still comes on don't know what to do next is there a recall. The light is off when you start the vehicle but comes on going down the road 10 minutes later or 15 minutes later the light will come on and stay on. All the time.

The contact owns a 2013 honda ridgeline. While the vehicle was parked, the contact noticed that the antenna cover was not attached to the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that there was a heating failure that heated up the metal, causing the lens and antenna cover to melt. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 11,000.

I am not sure when it happened but at some time the 3rd brake light and assembly blow off of my truck.i tried to look up the part number and saw several other complaints of this happening to other ownersi am told by mechanics that the clips that hold the assembly in place are often bad i have a 500.00 deductible and the repairs will be 800.00.i am saving to have the repair donei don't drive on the highway because the sides are loose since there is nothing holding them in place since i don't know exactly when or where this happened the rest of my report is estimated.
