Brand new car 2017 honda odyssey with less than 300 miles driving on a winding road uphill and the check engine light starts flashing. Manual advises to pull over to turn off and let the car cool down. Did that and then the vehicle stability assist light also goes on. Car starts to shake when you accelerate. Honda dealership said it was a misfire and covered under factory warranty. How can a new car already have engine problems??

My very new 2017 honda odyssey (ody ex-l 6at) was 1307 miles driven. When i was driving on the highway the car suddenly showed low oil pressure light andthe engine temperature gauge needle was at the h mark and then smoky fumes with smell of burnt rubber came from the engine hood. I immediately stopped the car and towed it back to the dealership. Honda dealership said it was a manufacturing defect related to coolant leak at thermostat housing resulting in blown head casket that caused extensive damage to engine.the honda dealership repaired the car under factory warranty. My question is how can honda sell such defective family cars to their customers and now how can i trust their workmanship in fixing this car ??
The vehicle was in motion on a street and normally decelerating from 30 mph towards a stop light. Without warning the car suddenly decelerated and stalled the engine. It was as if the transmission shifted into park. This happened three other times and eventually, the car would not shift into reverse despite indicating that it was in reverse. Only on the 5th trip the car had a warning error light appear. The car had to be towed to the dealership and they found a catastrophic transmission failure. The car was about 1 year old and had less than 11k miles on.
In november 2017 honda announced a recall with their odyssey vans regarding a safety defect with the second row outer seat. I especially took note of this recall because i have a child car seat attached to it. I called my local dealership asking about it. The dealership told me the replacement parts were out of stock and to wait for honda to contact me.in december 2017, i received a written letter from honda telling me about the recall and putting the responsibility on the owner to bring it into a local dealership to have the seat fixed. I brought in my odyssey in february 2018 to have it maintenance and ask about the recall. The service center addressed all the issues i paid for except for the recall issue. The agent printed out a booklet for me to read and said i can fix it myself. I told him about the honda recall noticed i received and he said they do not have the replacement part in stock. I told him that my friend owned the same van and it was recently fixed at another service center. The agent said i had to contact honda or wait for honda to contact me directly because it wasn't my "turn" yet.recently, i received another recall notice from honda in april 2018 telling me about the recall. It doesn't seem like honda's dealerships are equipped to fix the safety issue and they're sending out these notices only to protect themselves. The notice referred me to your website for complaints. My complaint is that i reached out to a honda service center twice and they refused to fix the recall issue.
At 25,000 miles on my honda when i applied the brakes the front end started shaking severely, toke the car to the honda dealer for service, they told me that the brake pads got hot the fixed the pads cost $200 another 25,000 miles sure enough the same problem this time i complained to the service mg he gave me a discount and said this size pads where on all the honda cars, honda did not make any effort to place larger size front brake pads on their odyssey, now at 77,000 mile its vibrating again. Major problem if you have to stop fast the vibration is so severe you could lose control of the car . Went to the internet found a number of complaints from other odyssey customer. I have service records for my odyssey if needed
Soft and non-responsive break
I need to replace my honda odyssey braunability wheelchair accessible entervan.because it was destroyed in the february 7th chain accident at the mario cuomo /tappan zee bridge in westchester, new york. Your recall for the second seadt row prevents honda dealers to sell me a new vehicle, even if a wheelchair accessible van cannot possibly use a second row seat,. Accordingly i kindly ask you to issue a waiver that i can submit to any honda dealer. Deadline for submitting my order for converion is feb 28 and chassis has to arrive a braunability no later than march 16, 2018.
I was driving about 45 on a side road and i heard a pop and things start rolling down the roof and off the back of the car. I found out that the sunroof exploded and the air was pulling the sunroof apart. Luckily i had the visor closed, so the glass didn't fall into the car.
Driver entered car in grocery store parking lot. Car was started and put into drive. Car then spontaneously accellerated rapidly into the concrete base of a light pole. Cause unknown. Driver suspects problem with computer that controls the accellerator. Car towed to dealer 1 who found nothing. I called honda and they are sending me to another dealer.
2017 honda odyssey. Consumer writes seeking reimbursement for lost wages while waiting for recall repairs to be performed. *ld
Sudden unexpected acceleration. On two separate occasions. The second resulted in a collision. After collision dealer inspected and said no problem with throttle system, but refused to release test results claiming "proprietary."next took vehicle to independent expert who tested vehicle and reported that vehicle's event data recorder had been wiped clean.
While the original owner of the vehicle was driving on a side road at approximately 40 mph with a child in the rear seat, there was an abnormal noise. Upon investigation, the sunroof was found shattered with glass on top of the sun shade and a hole in the glass.photos are attached showing the sunroof bulging upwards (indicating that it may have burst outwards?).upon inquiry, the local dealership where this vehicle was purchased new identified that honda does not have an active recall, nor do they support glass breakage.secondary extended warranty was also inquired as to covering this repair without success.
So recently my 2017 honda crv has a crack in the very lower bottom of the windshield. It was 23 degrees. I was driving home 35 miles per hour, no vehicles around and it began cracking.i have owned crv's all my life. I saw online where this is happening quite frequently and for no reason. I contacted you guys and was told the windshield is 1700.00. There is no chip in the crack it just started spreading, which to me means there is a flaw in the design. I contacted your service dept. And spoke with randy who is the advisor. He told me quite rudely , to contact honda customer service. I asked for the number, which any decent corporation will provide off hand and he told me it is located in the front of my owners manual.
The contact owns a 2017 honda odyssey. While the contact was inside the vehicle with his grandchild seated in the back seat, the sun roof exploded without warning. There were no injuries. The vehicle was taken to fisher honda (6025 arapahoe rd, boulder, co 80303, (303) 245-6417), but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made awareof the failure and stated that the warranty was expired. The contact was provided with case number: 09920815. The failure mileage was approximately 23,000.
