Takata recall- i was involved in an accident, where i rear ended another vehicle and my vehicle was deemed totaled, but my airbags "failed to deploy", therefore it is obvious that they are faulty and this was not a good experience, please can you help me because my vehicle is not in your list of "recalls" and why not if this occurred to me???

Recieved 2 recall notices, one in feb 2016 (driver side), the 2nd in july 2016 (passenger side).the 2nd notice stated to avoid placing persons in the passenger seat.contacted our local dealer late july- at our request they supplied a rental car pending receipt of repair parts.i have now been contacted that repair parts for the driver side only have been received, and that honda will not cover the replacement car once driver side is repaired, with no firm eta on parts for the passenger side.i contacted american honda to open a case but was told not to expect to hear back from anyone anytime soon.so i will be expected to continue driving a car with defective passenger side airbags, and the band-aid solution is to not have full use of my vehicle for an indeterminate period of time.

Today may 3rd 2018 vehicle traveling on city street when all icons tire pressure maintenance a malfunction codes all the cute little icons are lit up on the dash the performance of the vehicle was impaired and then the whole system shut down as i'm still traveling in my vehicle moving. I came to pawn someone in my vehicle with a computer laptop hooked up to my controls of my vehicle i ran after him he left so fast he fast transfer data chords. I did get my cell phone out and video record him and i chase him to his vehicle which i got the license plate type of car vin number and video of him running. Cannot release photo video until fbi confirms

The fuel guage has stopped working at 35,000 miles. It is backlit but no information in the display. The car was stationary when the display quit working. I took it to the honda dealer where i purchased the car and they changed the oil and reset the maintenance log and it started working again. When i got home, the display went blank again.

While driving on a highway in 18 degree weather at night, the odometer and fuel gauge display (the furthest right section of the 3-instrument panel in front of the driver) blanked out. It came back, but blanked out again. Total time out was approximately 4 minutes. With this trim version (lx) is it not possible to obtain an odometer or fuel gauge reading through any other method. A later online search indicated this was an issue for 2015-2016 models, but no recall has been issued. I did not obtain photographic proof because i was traveling at highway speeds and it would have been unsafe to find my phone in the dark and fiddle with it to take a photograph.

The led odometer display, which includes the gas gauge and other vital information geos blank or is garbled and unreadable. This happens every day when i first turn it on and stays that way most of the day. Sometimes it will start to work and sometimes it stays that way all day.

I'm reporting a common problem with the 2016 honda fit which hasn't yet been listed as a recall issue. The dealership i visited advised me to wait to fix the issue assuming that a recall will be issued soon, or to wait until the problem is untenable. On the right side of the dash board ( from the driver's seat)next to the steering column there is small digital gauge in the shape of a circle.this gauge includes a clock, fuel gauge, oil life indicator, etc.upon starting the vehicle or when the vehicle is in motion, this gauge will suddenly flash and then go completely blank. After a few minutes, the gauge returns to normal. When the gauge is blank i do not know how much gas i have in the car, the mileage of the vehicle, oil life, etc. I am assuming that once the digital information repopulates the mileage is accurate.this has happened twice in the last month.the honda dealership quoted a price of $1,000 to fix this problem, butthey advised that i wait to fix the car, either until the gauge becomes permanently blank, or when a recall is announced.the dealership explained that this is common problem for which they are anticipating a recall. I wish to take this car on a long trip, and i am hoping that a recall will happen soon.i don't want to be on the road without knowing how much gas i have in the car. I believe this is a safety issue.

The digital display in the dash that shows fuel gauge, range, odometer, etc.. Will intermittently not display properly. It will either display improperly in a way that is unreadable, or the entire display will go blank while remaining backlit. It happens more often when it is cold out. I also noticed it initiate more during hard acceleration or braking, but it can also remain when the vehicle is parked after i have finished my commute. When the display comes back to working properly, it seems to read accurately again, but i don't want it to go out completely to the point where i no longer know how much fuel is in my vehicle or how many miles i have driven between maintenance.

Our honda dealership has informed us the the check engine light is the result of rodents chewing on a wiring harness. This is an issue with honda using soy covered wires. Honda is reported to have known about this issue for years. Honda will not cover it under warranty. Although our insurance covers the repair, we have a $500. Deductible. This should be a class action lawsuit. Our vehicle has only 612 miles on it. This is outrageous.

The contact owns a 2016 honda fit. The contact stated that the vehicle it failed to start. The vehicle was taken to all star honda (6141 s 27th st, greenfield, wi 53221) where it was diagnosed that the vehicle was manufactured in that manner. If the vehicle were parked for several days, the battery would fail, which was an ongoing failure. The manufacturer was contacted and did not acknowledge a manufacturing failure. The approximate failure mileage was 2,000.

The fuel gauge and odometer are not visible due to an electrical issue. The screen will glitch making it unusable and dangerous because it is not clear how much fuel is remaining. Due to the way the car's displays are laid out, there is no other way to calculate out many miles have been driven. Nothing has happened to the car to make this issue more than a defective part installed by the manufacturer. I do not feel safe using this car. I am not the only one that has experienced this issue with a 2015-20 honda fit. This has been a continuous issue.

Car would not start intermittently for about a month. Several times it took over 15 minutes to get the car to start. Dealership states after analysis that it is the 'starter'. They said it is not the starter switch, alternator or battery. A new starter installed will cost over $700. This is happening to many honda cars that i've researched on the internet, but honda has no recall on this issue. Something fishy about that.

Fuel gauge display which also includes mpg and odometer shows gibberish. This happens in all driving conditions.

Odometer/fuel gauge have started to display random characters. At first it was intermittent and in really cold weather, and would sort itself out after 5-10 minutes. But it has become more common as soon as the car starts and now will not sort itself out. There is no access to the car's mileage or to even know how much gas is left in the tank. This seems to be an issue with the 2015-2016 honda fits, but honda is not regarding this as an actual issue/under warranty even though there is a defect.

2016 honda fit with approximately 44,000 miles. Problem started to occur in early december of 2019 and has continued for the past 2 months. Problem is that the car is unable to start. On numerous attempts to start the car, when the key is turned all systems are powered, but the engine won't crank. Battery has been replaced twice to ensure it's not the battery. There is no corrosion on any of the electrical cables. There are multiple accounts online of other honda fit owners encountering premature starter failure. Contacted honda and they informed me it was my responsibility to repair the vehicle despite the vehicle being relatively new.

Bought a 2016 honda fit ex used last year. Took it to the dealer because of multiple check engine warning lights.they told me that rats eat through the electical wiring in the engine compartment.they are clearly aware of this issue of rodents becaulse of the soy based wire coating.if honda is aware of this issue than why do i have to pay hundreds maybe thousands to apply a new wire coating.i have another sitting next to it and never had a problem.honda, needs to fix this problem because i believe that this is a bearing a class action law suit. Ill be talking to my attorney about this issue.please get the word out about this.

The dashboard display goes blank randomly so i don't know how much gas is in the tank or how many miles are on the odometer.

The odometer/gas guage fails in cold weather. This creates a safety hazard when the driver can not accurately guage mileage (needed for maintenance and reporting), and can not accurately guage fuel levels which can strand the motorist and create a bevy of safety issues.

The digital information display on the right side of the speedometer goes blank in cold weather.the display will alternate between blank and gibberish, where you cannot read.once the interior of the car warms up, the display will return to normal.

I need a new starter. I bought my 2016 honda fit used 5 months ago. It now has 43,900 miles. A 3 year old car with this mileage should not need to have the starter replaced. I tried 2-3 times to start my car but it wouldn't start. No clicking noise, no noise at all.i thought it was a dead battery and when jumped it started right away. Several more times it wouldn't start the first time but the 2nd and 3rd time trying it turned over and started. My neighbor told me it could be electrical.this has happened at least 10-15 times and after trying 3-4 times it starts right up.i finally took my car to my mechanic when tested he said it was the starter and said i needed a new one. It will cost $500.00 for the new part plus labor. Well over $700.00 dollars. Thank goodness i purchased the extended warranty. I will have to pay $44.00 because the extended warranty only allows "at cost" for parts.another thing, after going through the car wash or after a rain storm the inside of the door panels are full of water but luckily the water doesn't enter the car as i've read on other complaints about this model honda. One more thing while i'm complaining...a lot of highway road noise. For the price honda could and should be making a much better vehicle. On the plus side, it is easy to drive, maneuver and park.

Once the low tire pressure light is set by the tpms the vehicle owner cannot clear it since honda has removed all manual and electronic reset options for the owner. With this light remaining on the owner effectively has no low tire pressure warning system. Correcting tire pressures and driving the required 60 miles or more does nothing.

One dial on the instrument panel that shows mileage, etc.. Is displaying improperly.this happens more often in cold weather.it typically is malfunctioning when i first start the car.the dial can be completely empty or have some digits.the data is incorrect.this seems to go away after driving for a while.it doesn't happen every time but most times.

Digital lcd instrument cluster blanks out or displays gibberish under certain weather conditions. Possibly condensation near fuse box or bad solder joint. This is being reported by multiple owners for models 2015 and up. Problem causes blind driving without knowledge of remaining fuel level or mileage.

Instrument cluster display stops working or displays gibberish randomly. This prevents me from knowing how much fuel is left in the car, sometimes for days. The instrument cluster is also the only place to see the odometer and keep track of mileage for service intervals. This lack of information affects my safety. This occurs when starting the car, other times in the middle of driving, on city and highway. It stays off or unreadable for hours to days.

When temperatures outside are cold. The gas gauge cluster which also displays odometer miles starts off as lit but will then go blank. As the vehicle warms up the cluster will flicker on /off until ultimately resuming back to normal. Defective fuel/mileage gauge cluster is a manufacture defect caused by temperature related issues, usually during outside temperatures of 45 degrees or less. Numerous complaints have been file against the manufacture but the issue has yet to be resolved. It is not a wiring or car computer related issue and the problem has been narrowed down by a number of honda dealer mechanics to be a defective gauge cluster. Replacing the cluster would resolve this issue however, parts and labor are over $500. Vehicle is a 2016 honda fit with less than 11,000 miles.

The gauge that shows miles, oil life, gas gauge, and all other functions does not come on all the time when you start the engine. You can be stationary, in motion on any street or highway. It seems to show a bunch of japanese writings at times. Then lo and behold it comes back on. It was stated that the cluster needs to be replaced, which is ridiculous for a newer vehicle. You need to make it right! there are more and more complaints, so your site is posted to file a complaint. I do not posses the technology to take a photo and upload. Please recall or make good on your cluster replacement. It is an on going problem that started about 7 months ago. Mileage cannot be seen nor oil change, fuel amount, or any other function on screen when it is out. It had about 41,ooo or so when it started. The dealer says my warranty has expired.

They said it is not the starter switch, alternator or battery. A new starter installed will cost over $700. The contact owns a 2016 honda fit. The contact stated that while his daughter was driving at an undisclosed speed, the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact's daughter took the vehicle to an unknown dealer in denver co, where the vehicle was diagnosed with a defective catalytic converter. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 52,000.

While in motion, the instrument panel lights came on (check engine, stability assist, electric power steering, etc.) . Immediately pulled over, called a tow truck, took to dealer, and later found out the fuel injectors were bad. This is the second time! first at 27,000 miles and now again at 44,000 miles. Just grateful i wasn't on the freeway! several tsb's regarding this and customer complaints. Why is there no recall?

I noticed some insulation missing from my engine in july 2016. I didn't think it was important until i went to my dealer in april 2017. They said it was mice and removed a nest. I came home which is 3 hrs away and noticed much more damage the next morning. Out of desperation i put 2 snap traps in the engine. I bought this 2016 honda fit brand new in nov 2015. I'm not sure the extent of the damage but i have lots of chewed insulation and some wires chewed on.

Fuel injectors prematurely went out leaving me in limp mode with 4 lights flashing on the dash at 10mph on the interstate until i gave up and pulled over and just got a tow home

Fuel injectors failed (known issue) causing me to be stranded with kids. Car was under warranty. Dealer refused to cover under warranty even though federal emissions warranty required it for the mileage at the time. Next year catalytic converter failed causing me to fail emissions test. Dealer refused to cover under federal emissions warranty , claiming that fuel injectors cause the catalytic converter to fail and it the catalytic converter itself had no defects. Causing pollution, safety, and performance issues. Stranded with infant. Company violating clean air act and profiting on it.

2016 honda fit. Consumer writes in regards to unintended acceleration. *ldthe consumer stated the dealer could not duplicate the failure. Also, the volume would elevate loudly on its own.

Moisture build up in headlamps. Honda claims that moisture buildup inside the headlight housing is normal and not something that needs to be replaced/addressed. Per honda anytime there is a reduction of temperature outside the headlamp it will cause condensation inside the headlamp. Moisture inside the headlamp causes refraction of the light and reduces nighttime visibility. So anytime you drive at night after the temperature has dropped your visibility is reduced due to the moisture.

The contact owns a 2016 honda fit. The contact stated that there was condensation in the headlamps. The vehicle was taken to young honda (1855 n main st, logan, ut 84341, (435) 222-0589) where it was diagnosed that the vehicle was operating as intended per service bulletin: a-15-060c (exterior lighting). The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and the contact was informed again that the vehicle was performing as intended. No further assistance was offered. The contact was concerned that as per fmvss108, page: 718 under humidity test procedure, that the vehicle failed to meet vehicle safety standards for headlamp manufacturer. The approximate failure mileage was 26,500.

The contact owns a 2016 honda fit. While the contact's daughter was driving at unknown speeds, the vehicle stalled, restarted, and the check engine warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to piedmont honda (4011 clemson blvd, anderson, sc 29621 ,(864) 305-4173) where it was diagnosed that the fuel injectors needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and provided case number: 10082125. The failure mileage was 43,000. The vin was not available.

At only 37,000 miles, my 2016 fit started having trouble upshifting and downshifting efficiently, and my check engine light came on.i took it to the honda dealership, and was told my fuel injectors had failed, and there was significant carbon build up on the engine valves that needed cleaning. At my persistence, honda eventually decided to do a goodwill repair since it was only 1,000 miles outside of factory warranty.however, this is a known problem with 2015/2016 fits and honda should issue a recall for their fuel injectors.

I had 4 emergency lights come on while driving in motion leaving a gas station. I then drove on the interstate and had to pull over due to safety concerns. We took the 2016 honda fit to a trusted mechanic and honda dealership and both agreed that after just over 58,000 miles, all of the fuel injectors are bad and need to be replaced. Both the honda dealership i purchased from and our trusted mechanic agree the fuel injectors should not be going bad at this time. The car is 2.5 years old, has had all routine oil changes and no crashes or issues. Honda wants to charge $1,600 for me to get this fixed. Many others online have complained of the same fuel injector parts going bad! this must be recalled immediately! honda knows this is an issue and is trying to rip customers off who did nothing wrong except trust their brand.

The check engine light is on constantly because of faulty fuel injectors that need to be replaced with a new part number (all 4 of them). The mpg has declined. This issues seems to be widespread from what i read online. Honda has a tech service bulletin regarding this common issue of faulty fuel injectors.

I recently took my fit into my local honda dealership to address a check engine light. That day in particular, the vehicle had a delayed acceleration when i was hitting the gas pedal on a local city street'something it had not done ever.at the time of my service, it was explained to me that i would have to have a diagnostic test run to determine the cause. I received a call later that day informing me of a 'cylinder 3 misfire' that would require a coil, spark plug and fuel induction service. We proceeded with the repair and the following morning i received a link to view an inspection of my vehicle that reported my vehicle as 'overall still like new''and that was great until later that afternoon i was now told that upon further inspection i needed more repairs. I now needed fuel injectors and was told that honda would not just replace the damaged one in cylinder 3 but would proceed to change them all'something i thought was odd and costly ($2300) to say the least! my service associate stated that nothing was under warranty so the expenses would be out of pocket. After looking into documents on honda's website, it seems that eventually honda improved the injectors on later models of 2016 fits. The frustrating part for me is that it feels like honda wants us to be out of pocket for an issue founded on craftsmanship that is not to par with honda's typical quality. When i asked why do all 4 have to be changed when only one is bad, i was simply told that ' we will not just replace one, all four will need to be replaced'

Cylinder misfires due to poorly atomized fuel.defective direct inject fuel system began failing at less than 40,000 miles on the vehicle.continuous appearance of check engine light.car accelerates weakly and occasionally loses power

Had the same fuel injector issues as every other honda fit owner. Honda redesigned fuel injectors but did not recall all honda models with this issue.

New 2016 fit with approx 5500 miles started developing an audiable ticking/clicking noise when releasing the clutch pedal going into 1st gear from a stationary position.much more pronounce when on an incline and has progressively worsen since approx 3500 miles. No vibrations transmitted through the pedal assembly noted. Did not have this noise when the car was new. Dealer removed transmission, replaced clutch assembly and throwout bearing and returned car under warranty. Clicking noise persist. Brought back to dealer a second time , shop foreman spoke to honda techline and concluded audiable clicking/ ticking during clutch release is a characteristic of the new 6 speed transmission/gearbox, & documented all is normal. Been driving manual vehicles for over 20 years with all transmission/clutch components lasting 80-90k miles before first service/ component replacement. This including a cable actuated clutch that was quieter than this. Never encountering thisbefore. Guess time will tell if it is a design or assembly flaw, or infact a " normal characteristics" of this new 6 speed manual gear box. Atleast all is documented in honda database.

2016 honda fit.consumer writes in regards to fluid/ transmission leakage underneath vehicle .*ldthe consumer stated the dealer has been unable to correct the problem. The dealer replaced the transmission pan gasket.

Rear seat belts become twisted and will not retract.

Seat belt buckles in center rear seat and left rear seat are reversed.honda dealer says that honda designed them to be used this way.this makes it difficult to buckle.

The contact owns a 2016 honda fit. While inspecting the vehicle, the contact noticed that all the seat tracks and bolts were corroded. The dealer was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 1,400.

2016 honda fit ex drivers seat safety issue: the design of the drivers seat makes driving this car for any distance unbearable. The car dealership i purchased it from has no solution to the issue of the poor design of the drivers seat. I can slightly modify the seat cushioning by adding pillows and pads but this changes the position of the driver and could potentially alter some of the safety features such as airbags if deployed. Currently the vehicle is undriveable any distance due to problems with the drivers seat which may create driver response issues to an emergency situation due to distractions and physical pain caused by the seat. This safety issue happens at all time while driving this vehicle.

Brakes feeling "mushy", peddle going to floor when using brake to take car out of park. Took car to dealer # 1.after anhour of waiting told car ready.(mechanic) and service adviser were both there, had hard brake ,i asked what the problem was and they said the mechanic said he did not find any wrong.took car on test run took it back ten minutes later still had same problem. Asked service manager to "bleed " brake lines he refused at first saying i would have to pay for it,i said no and i am not leaving until brakes are bled,he told service advisor to use some coding so i would not have to pay for it. After waiting about an hourcar ready brakes felt gooddrove home. The next morning (saturday) brake pedal down to floor ,same problem. Took car to another honda dealer they could not take me right away ,made appointment for another day. Service manager met me upon arrival ,i asked him to verify pedal down to floor ,he got in and drove car off. About two hours later car ready brakes "fixed" he said all that was done was to "bleed" brake lines again, said first time done was 'piss poor".took car home the next morning same problem ,pedal down to floor,"mushy brakes".calledhonda corporate and reported problem and took car back.got loaner car. They had replaced a vsa modulator.this was on 7/13/17. On 7/19/17started carput foot on brake pedal down to floor ,"mushy brakes. Took car back on 24 july ,room-mate had to go to hospital.picked up car on 26 july nothing has been done to fix car. I think they are covering up a problem.i think it kind of strange that a mechanicwould meetwith you along with the service advisor and also strange that a service manager would personally take care of you.

I was in reverse backing into my parking space and all of a sudden my gas petel accelerated driving my car so fast over a curb and into a stone wall. This is not the only vehicle that reported to honda american, but the same malfunction of gas petal causing the vehicle to accelerate at a high speed. Reported to my insurance and honda american. My car now if i put it in drive it starts driving on its own. Also in reverse it starts driving on its own. I don't have to step on the. Gas petal it moves on its own. I am awaiting for honda america to send a representative to my honda dealer with me to inspect. I am asking honda american to pay repair of my vehicle. $1,082.00. Honda is willing to tow my car, but can't promise me a vehicle while being repaired. Honda america sent someone to tow my car, without notification to me. I canceled the tow, for i had fractured my elbow and needed to speak with honda america. I am waiting for a return phone call to so we may get my car inspected by a honda representative. I will not pay to have my car repaired, for it was a malfunction of the gas petal. Others have reported this problem, but it is not listed as a serious problem which is unsafe to drive.

After 10,000 miles several deep concentric grooves are worn into the front brakes. My dealership, walsh honda (laura meeks), responded to my email concern (with pictures) that these are "not uncommon and no safety concern". Walsh honda scheduled me to replace my rear brake shoes on 9/5. Walsh honda offering to replace rear brake shoes (which are perfectly fine) to fix deep front rotor grooves is not acceptable obviously.

The gasket on the front doors came loose randomly which resulted in rain and wind to enter the car.i have to manually push the gasket back in every now and then because they do not stay in place.

Water randomly leaking into the driver side floor mats when raining

Loud rattling coming from driver side dash when driving, especially on bumpy roads.the problem seems to stop when it is hot out, which makes me think that the plastic clips holding the dash panel may be loose or ill-fitted.the dealership replaced the original dash panel due to a misalignment of the piece (big gap between the side airbags and left front panel).the new dash panel still rattles.took the car back and they said they "cannot" diagnose the problem. Took the car to another dealership and they said "it happens in some cars but not enough to issue a recall".

Upon exiting my stationary 2016 honda fit in my driveway, my leg hit the door guard, which caused an injury requiring 19 stitches.

Driver door and left rear passenger door both let rain in resulting in puddling on floors.dealership has tried twice, both unsuccessfully to repair seals inside door panel that prevents leakage into interior of vehicle.interior rugs are soaked and hard to dry since air can not breath underneath.leads to mold and mildew within vehicle.interior windows fog up as moisture is trapped within body of vehicle.began on 7/27/18 and continues today 10/7/18.

The tire pressure gauge (tpmg) on the dashboard comes on randomly. When reset it stays off for minutes then comes on again. It stays on even with correct recommended tire pressure in all 4 tires. The spare tire is not hooked up to this gauge. This car is mostly highway driven at speeds of 65 mph when this occurs but also occurs randomly at other speeds. When the gauge comes on the tire pressure is always normal.

On 9/20/2018around 5:15 pm in west valley city, ut while driving down a fairly empty highway (mountain view corridor and 54th s. )the sunroof/moonroof glass of my 2016 honda fit shattered.there was no debris and no impact.there is no apparent impact fracture.

Mold thru out car on inside headliner health hazard and personal safety in car due to gap in cars hatchback.

My wife was driving the 2016 honda fit hatchback which is about 3 months old with 1245 miles on the speedometer. She was on a city street during a hard rain. The pressure from the rain water from the street splashing underneath the car seemed to strip the 4 plastic bolts off that were holding the front floor engine cover(the large black plastic engine cover that i call( the skid plate) causing it to fall and drag on the road all the way home. The part # is74641-t5r-a00. The wolfchase honda dealer charged us $418.37 to replace this part .i went online to car complaints.com and their were several nhtsa miscellaneous problems/ complaints on the 2015 and 2016 honda fit concerning this same problem with other honda fit owners. One owner said that 4 plastic screws were all that held this cover on the car. The plastic screws must not be strong enough to take the effects of bumpy rough roads or pressure from rain water crashing against the cover. They said that they had these covers replaced but they kept falling off.i believe that this is a factory defect and that the honda co. Needs to address this problem and stop charging owners 4 to 5 hundred dollars for this repair. The problem makes us scared to drive this car in the rain or bumpy rough roads. When these plastic screwsbreak and fall out they dislodge the cover from the car causing it to drag the street with very loud noises and ruining the plastic engine cover. I believe metal or steel screws could hold this cover onmore securely. Surely honda can design something better for this problem. When you pay around $20,000.00 for a new car and only have 1245 miles on it at the time of this problem and the car is less than 3 months old, you really expect a better saferand more reliable vehicle.

The odometer/gas guage fails in cold weather. This creates a safety hazard when the driver can not accurately guage mileage (needed for maintenance and reporting), and can not accurately guage fuel levels which can strand the motorist and create a bevy of safety issues.

2016 honda fit. Consumer writes in regards to unintended acceleration. *ldthe consumer stated the dealer could not duplicate the failure. Also, the volume would elevate loudly on its own.

In process of pulling into a parking spotin front of a business, i applied my foot brake after which my vehicle fully accelerated, jumping (an approximately 12") sidewalk into a plate glass window. Fortunately there were no injuries.

The contact owns a 2016 honda fit. While in reverse, the vehicle accelerated on its own. The driver lost control and the vehicle crashed into a brick wall. The driver sustained an injured neck and back, which did not require medical attention. A police report was not filed. Kelly honda (540 lynnway, lynn, ma) was contacted, but the cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was 11,000. The vin was invalid.

The contact stated that the tire pressure monitoring system warning indicator illuminated. The dealer checked the air pressure, changed, and rotated the tires, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 4,059.

The tire pressure warning light comes on periodically, about every 500 miles or so.i've had the pressure checked by professionals in each tire and on one occasion it was 1 unit less than it had been before, but not below the level that it should have come on for.after refilling, the problem soon repeats in a similar duration.

After two flats that essentially destroyed the tires. Unable to replace tires on car that we brought new because they are on longer made by firestone. Abnormal wear noted on tires after only 24,000 miles.

Pertaining to the tire pressure monitoring system (tpms) it is my understanding that if a tpms sensor is removed from the car, the car is supposed to alert the driver via a warning light. My 2016 honda fit had all four tires and rims replaced that didn't have tpms sensors installed and no indicator has illuminated in the vehicle. (it's been almost two months since the sensors were removed)
