I was stopped in traffic because a few cars ahead of me someone was stopped to turn left. I was rear ended by someone in a nissan rogue suv which hit me with enough force to push my car forward and smash me into a ford explorer. I was hit twice and my airbags did not deploy and my car sustained substantial rear-end and front damage. So much so that the car was declared a total loss. My air bag did not deploy and from the damage done should have. If it had, i would of sustained less injuries from my accident.

Driving south bound on ballplay rd. Madisonville, tn our side air bag curtains deployed at the same time. There was no impact causing them to deploy. Causing us to leave the road. With some damage to the bottom sides of the car.

The contact owned a 2015 honda fit. While driving 22 mph in traffic, the contact's vehicle was involved in a crash on the front end and front driver's side. The driver's air bag deployed, but the side air bag failed to deploy. The contact sustained burn injuries from the air bag that deployed and was taken to the emergency room for medical treatment. Police report number: 19008011 was filed. The vehicle was totaled and towed to an impound lot. The manufacturer and dealer were not notified of the failure the cause of the failure was not determined. The failure mileage was 62,046.

And around 17,000 miles the car developed an extremely loud squeak that sounded as those it was coming from the dashboard. I took it to the dealerwho discovered that were loose bolts from the factorycausingthe front bumper to squeak. In the process of looking for the squeak they dismantled the dash board. Now the dashboard has come apart around the passenger airbag and cannot be put back to original factory specs. This is an extremely dangerous situation for a passenger in the event of the airbag deployment.

When my wide was moving into a parking slot in front of a grocery store, at the moment of complete stop, the car suddenly accelerated and jumped forward hitting first the concrete block in the parking slot, then the edge of the sidewalk, kept moving fast forward onto the sidewalk and finally coming to an stop when it hit the wall of the grocery store. This is known as "sudden acceleration" or "unintended acceleration". About 175,000 2015 honda fit have been recalled for this very issue in japan. Also, the air bag didn't deploy either causing the bodily injury to the driver (headache, neck and back pain, she has seen doctors and physical therapist).

Possible takata inflators: car in motion hit a large, unexpected, recently fallen tree limb on a public street and rolled over it.the front bumper completely removed and the side airbag went off.however, the front airbag did not deploy causing a visual (ct scan) crack in the driver's sternum.please note my name is [xxx] and i am writing this on behalf of my mother.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

When faced with heavy impact the vehicle do not active the air bags. However, the damage of the vehicle were of such magnitude that it broke the transmission, the clutch housing, the front body kit such as fog light , front bumpers and other parts.

The contact owns a 2015 honda fit. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 15v697000 (air bags, structure); however, the part to do the repair was not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

Car (fit) was hit right behind driver side front wheel and airbag did not deploy. Fit was traveling 25 mph when hit by car who ran stop control.

While parking the car in the parking space, it suddenly self-accelerated, jumped the curb, and crashed into the wall in front of the car resulting in injuries to both the driver (2 fractured neck vertebrae, 3 fractured ribs on right side, and broken left foot) and passenger (laceration to right hand and bruised ribs on left side).the acceleration was too fast for either the driver or passenger to respond.airbags did not deploy, and the car was considered a total loss due to the extensive damage to the front end.

My father was in a collision at 55 mph when another vehicle illegally pulled out in front of him, the airbag deployed but did not inflate. The accident resulted in injury to his rib cage and fracture of his lower vertebra.

The instrument cluster began showing nothing or gibberish.no odometer, no clock, no fuel gauge, no time display, no temp display.once the car warms up, it usually returns to normal.

The fuel gauge display intermittently goes out on my 2015 honda fit, especially on cold mornings (i live in minnesota). It started about 3 years ago, and has been an inconvenience, but i now have a courier job that requires photos of my odometer every day. If this goes out while working, it will be much more than an inconvenience. I also feel like this is a safety issue, not knowing how much gas is left in the tank. I'm hoping enough people with this problem report the issue, and hopefully a recall or class action lawsuit can happen. Thank you!

Fuel/odometor guage display is blank / flickering when in use. Sometimes it is blank the entire time.

Fuel gauge, odometer is glitching. Sometimes just doesn't show anything

My key ignition light went on starting 9/2019. I went to the dealer and had to get the electrical panel related to the ignition and starter replaced. It might be related to the recall of the 2013-14 model where the front panel had to be replaced.

Electronic cluster failure affecting fuel gauge and engine temperature display. This can cause an accident if the vehicle runs out of fuel or engine overheats. After looking into this, it's a major issue affecting thousands of honda fit owners and a recall should be put in place for this.

My car began lurching as soon as i pressed the accelerator to leave my driveway.cars go 50 mph on my road despite the 35 mph signs, i was scared i was going to be rear ended and had to yank the car over to the side of the road immediately.i was afraid i was going to be rear ended. What if the wires had been only mostly chewed and they came loose while i was on the parkway??

Vehicle has had two episodes of stalling and not starting.the first time it happened was less than six months ago when driving on freeway about 70 mph car stalled then restarted a few seconds later.we had hoehn honda carlsbad, ca check the car and they replaced the alternator.not sure that was the real problem. Today the car exhibited symptoms of a low battery.twice today it stalled after driving for 15-20 minutes and would not restart immediately after parking. I had it jumped both times.i immediately took battery to auto shop who tested it at 100% charge.i put it back in the car and it started right up.when i got home ten minutes later the system again sounded low on power when i tried to start immediately after parking. I checked recalls on 2015 fits and one came up for "plug top ignition coil damage." wondering if that is what we are experiencing.note that the temperature was 93 degrees today in carlsbad. My wife recalls it being a hot day when it stalled on the freeway.just went out after sitting for 30 minutes and it started a little weakly, drove it around the block, parked, turned off car, then restarted it. It started more weakly than three minutes prior.all peripheral systems were off (radio, a.c., etc.).

In colder weather, gas gauge does not work. When car warms up comes back on. However, could take up to ten minutes. When driving, could run out of gas without knowing.

I have a honda fit 2015 ex with about 58k on it. I bought it pre-certified used 2 years ago this month from the honda dealership.i am now experiencing the disappearing of the fuel gauge and odometer display for up to 5 min + intervals, especially upon starting the car in the morning but also while driving (on streets and highways). At first i thought it was a fluke, but now it's happening daily.i've gone to the service dept. At the honda dealership where i bought the car and at first was told they couldn't find anything wrong. I pressed them with my photos and after meeting with the dir. Of service, who then did the diagnostics, he said that the whole unit, called the 'combination meter assembly' would have to be replaced, for about $800 not including labor. That's $$$. American honda has so far refused to admit their fault and liability here.there is no negligence on my side.when i researched this malfunction online, it turns out that there are many people and many forums documenting this particular problem for my exact honda fit 2015 model.it's very disconcerting to be saddled with this problem.it is not only a safety issue but it is a liability issue, re: odometer readings, being insured, future resale. . if for any reason the display is not reading correctly, and not correctly displaying the proper # of miles, it's a more serious matter. Of course, not knowing how much fuel you have in your tank is also a serious matter!an investigation and recall should be started for this issue.it is dangerous to drive with a faulty display and illegal not to have the proper odometer readings.no way should any of us who own this make and model have to pay for this repair.it's honda's fault.

The gauge display that shows mileage, fuel indicator, oil level, temperature reading and other important information that is needed to maintain your vehicle in good condition may come on sometimes.if it does come on, it is so scrambled that you cannot read it and then goes blank.i am very insecure driving the car and not knowing how much fuel i have or the mileage reading to know when maintenance needs be done.i contacted honda concerning this matter and was told that they were nor aware of any problems with this and i would need to have it taken care of myself.i have read on many sites where several owners have had the same issue with this vehicle and i feel it is a serious safety issue.also when this happens, it doesn't make a difference ifi am moving or sitting still.please, if anyone else is having this problem, contact honda direct.if enough people make honda aware of the problem something may be done about it.

The dashboard electronic display containing the fuel gauge and mileage goes blank (blue screen) when it is colder than about 70 degrees outside. The information in the display reappears when the temperature outside is above 70 degrees or after i have been driving for about 45 minutes. This has been going on for 3 months. It is a safety issue to not know how much gas the car has. I have seen this issue appear in multiple forums online, all concerning the same electronic display in the fit going blank at lower temperatures. Clearly it is a faulty part, costing me about $700 plus labor to replace.

My car is a 2015... Less than 46,000 miles and car willl not turn on. After reading several threads, it appears that honda 2015 has faulty staters. Also, the display showing proper gas levels go in and out. This is a safety issue. Many people have complained. Please force a recall.

Have had to replace batteries every single year since purchase in 2015. Vehicle will function fine then struggle to start out of nowhere. Despite taking steps to avoid unnecessary power draining and trying different brands of batteries (which is a small selection) every year around october/november it starts to fail. The car can be jumpstarted without too much issue by another vehicle, but portable jumpstarting systems struggle to get it going. Issues will start without much correlation of how much the vehicle had been in motion prior. Car could've been stationary/turned off for 30 mins or a day with the same results.

The fuel gauge display has failed (it also displays time, odometer, temp, etc). It comes on intermittently, or not at all. When it does come on, sometimes it's glitched out/complete gibberish, with the wrong fuel amount. Many, many other honda fits have this issue (no recall, corporate refuses to acknowledge this manufacturing defect). Time, mileage, and temperature have no effect. Cost is $700+ for dealer to fix.

The display that shows fuel gauge, mileage, temperature, odometer and other important information may come on for awhile and then the screen goes blank.if it does come on the information on the screen is so scrambled and then the screen goes blank again.it doesn't make a difference if the car in motion or stopped.i feel very insecure not knowing how much fuel i have in the car or my mileage that i depend on for maintenance purposes.i have did some research on my issue and have found many owners with the same problem.

On the instrument panel, the fuel gauge very often goes blank for long periods of time. A driver may not know when gas tank is empty, and possibly leaving driver stranded in the middle of nowhere.also, the same gauge shows prompts when maintenance is needed on the vehicle.without visual reference to these prompts, again a dire situation could occur if not taken care of immediately.this situation has been daily, from the first time vehicle is started in the morning and throughout the day , several times a day, for at least a year.honda wants over $1000, to fix this problem. I believe this is a safety issue.photos attached.

Hello, the car won't start.it's a keyless start button.button, panel, music, lights and all start.everything's normal but the car won't start or turn over. I lower the handbrake, press down on the brake and press the starter button but can't get the engine to start. It has started after numerous tries.but the problem persists.i can't reliably expect to start the car.please advise as i see many complaints posted on the web.

The fuel and odometer gauge goes in and out intermittently. It's lit without displaying any information, the display will go on and off.

Dash board freezes and blurrs, when this happens k cannot see my current mileage or fuel levels. Low tire always ln even when i put air on tires. I got my tires checked many times and stays on.

The instrument cluster that shows the odometer and fuel gauge randomly doesn't appear when i turn on my car. It usually happens when it is cold outside (less than 55-ish). The screen will turn on sometime after driving 4-10 miles. At first the screen will look garbled, but then it will be fine. It looks like a ton of people are reporting this problem.

Electronic starting issues.constantly fails to start. I put a new battery and also changed the battery to the key fob but still having starting issues.it intermittently fails to start.sometimes it will take multiple tries before it will start.the vehicle has only 30,572 miles and this should not happen.a few times i actually had to attach a jump start power system to start the vehicle, everything in vehicle comes on normally with power just doesn't start constantly.happens constantly no matter how far i drive.

Vehicle intstrument lcd where it displays fuel gauge, odometer trip meter is going out intermenttly. Vehicle is too risky to drive if you dont if you dont how much fuel you have left.

Rodents chewed through wires due to soy wiring. Car would not start, but had some issues with acceleration previously that were likely also related to chewed wiring.

Fuel and odometer gauge failure. In cold weather and occurring more frequently with vehicle age, the gauge will go blank for some time. After some time, it may blink on/off with unreadable characters. 31,000 miles on the vehicle. The photo attached iwas taken with the vehicle running.

The gas and speedometer gauge went blank, there is no way to tell how much gas you have left in the tank, you cannot track down your oil service maintenance, you cannot track your milage use. This is becoming a safety issue, i don't trust the car, i can be left stranded anytime and i am doing the maintenance blindly.

Have problem with the computer and already changed the dealers spent a month with her and after two days i handed it back to do the same.

Similar issue to the others, have the right hand circular lcd panel of the dash which has progressively become worse and is locked, glitched or completely out most of the time when driving or stationary.started when the car was just out of warranty in 2018 but is now unbearable. Includes odometer, fuel gauge (safety issue), fuel economy and other trip information.also have had the often mentioned intermittent non-starting issue which was solved with a new starter with less than 35,000 miles on the car.

My 2015 honda fit lx with only 22,000 miles has 4 system lights all came on at once ' tpms, check engine, electric power steering (eps), vehicle stability assist (vsa).the mechanic recommended that all 4 fuel injectors along with fuel pipes will need to be replaced after ruling out ignition coils and spark plugs as potential issues.he stated that there are known issues with direct fuel injectors with honda of this model year.a search on the internet and nhtsa website confirmed this is known issue of this model year honda as reported by many honda owners with similar problems.the estimate cost to replace all fuel injectors is $1700-2000.this is a known defective design by honda but they will not recall or cover the repair.

The small screen behind the steering wheel that displays the fuel level and odometer will occasionally display gibberish or just display nothing. The backlight will stay on while this happens. It so far clears itself after a few minutes and seems to be more common on colder days, but im noticing that im not the only person affected by this issue and would like this to be addressed by honda.

Mileage/gas display goes blank, then flashes some gibberish intermittently. This issue started after i had a new honda battery installed a few months ago. Happened while driving, but continued while parked. Computer seeems to keep accurate records once display returns. Stayed on after car was warm.not sure if itā’s related, but the usb and bluetooth have also been intermittent for several years.

My assist stability system is defected.. I had my car 2 years as of dec15, 2015. The first problem 4 months after bought it noise in the engine.. Now from dec 2, 2018 to january 22, 2018 in this short period of time i had all this work done to that defective car which gaplin honda dealership located at 11151 laurel canyon, mission hills, ca knew all about, because if the service director [xxx] would not have ordered all this work to be done and the assist stability system lights are still on as we speak. Let me tell you all the work done in a 50 day period (that's ridiculous) a brand new.battery sensor (i paid) a new honda battery,(i paid) a new alternator( told them i was not @#$% paying because you know its a defect) they said they, cleared pcm ecm, tighten ground connectors if needed, installed powertrain control unit(they know i wasn't paying , they text me "you don't have to pay " bs . The problem still exist all three lights stay on tire pressure, stability light, power steering light (assist stability system) honda knew when they sold me the car it had a defect , only one owner leased it for 12 months honda put it up for sale dec 10, 2015 i bought it dec 15, 2015 five days later with only 29, 416 miles on it ; nothing should have been wrong with this car. Honda has a class action suit against them regarding their "defective assist stability system " same problem like minds honda knew that's why they were praying the lights wouldn't never come back on so they can stick me with this defective car i still have it as we speak with all 3 lights on. Look on "gotclassaction.com/honda defect assist stability system i comment on it in dec this year ([xxx]). Honda was just throwing [xxx] up against the wall to see if it will stick. I have all my documentation, videos , pictures and text from my honda advisor to back every word i stated up to the "t" thank youinformation redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

The guage that reads the mileage and gas level in the dashboard is glitching excessively. There will be times the screen is completely blank. Other times it is unreadable. It happens whether the car is newly turned on, being driven, or if i restart the car. Was also not fixed with a new battery. It began a couple times in 2017 and it is now turning into a daily occurrence.

The speedometer and gas register either goes blank or shows gibberish several times a day.you cannot deduce speed limit on highway or see how much gas you have.

Dash screen goes blank and can not read amount of fuel left or current mileage.

2 huge issues when i bought my car. I bought it used with 45k miles on it and by 60,000 miles i needed the entire fuel rail replaced due to lurching on the highway and roads. Honda paid for it after a lengthy argument between dealerships. Now, a year later, i am continually having problems with the no-ignition keys. When i first got the car, it told me "low key battery", "no key" or just wouldnt register them. I replaced both the car battery and the key batteries. The dealership told me it was an issue with the pcm module. They said they fixed it and less than a .month later the same problem was happening. Now they are telling me it may just be the batteries in the keys. Today i could not start my car. Even with the key in the car, and even pushing it right up to the ignition button which usually works.

The right side of the instrument panel display, that includes the fuel gauge, odometer, fuel economy readout and service reminders, has started to display intermittently. Sometimes it displays gibberish. Sometimes the screen is blank. Sometimes it is okay. Problem started about one year ago, presenting a mixed up display. It has slowly worsened, to include the totally blank display happening some of the time. Happens with car stationary or moving. Changing direction or speed has no effect. Initially seemed to occur when air temperature was cold ( @ 30 degees f ), and improved as air temp and car temp warmed. Now has happened when air temp is @ 50 degrees f..

At 1700 thousand miles rotors need resurfacing.starter needed to be replaced.transmission was replaced.all under warranted

While driving, all gauge lights turned on at once.

The gauge cluster that includes the odometer and fuel gauge intermittently go blank or glitch when the weather starts to get colder. It happens every time you turn on the car lately, however. This leads me to believe that the gauge cluster is degrading faster now.

The contact owns a 2015 honda fit. While driving approximately 20 mph, the tire pressure monitoring system, electric power steering, check engine, and stability control indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to lujack honda (3707 n harrison st, davenport, ia 52806) where it was diagnosed that the fuel injectors failed and needed to be changed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided case number: 09535823. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 32,161.

The dashboard display of my mileage and fuel levels is often blank when i initially start my car, or the display is gibberish (e.g. Numbers and letters where there shouldn't be any). This happens frequently (3-4x/week) and tends to be worse when it's colder outside.

The lcd screen that has your gas gauge mileage trip milage. Tempture stays blue when it below 43 degrees but goes back after driving it for 10 minutes only in the morning

Ignition button and hazard button are placed too close together and are similarly colored. Twice, i have reached to engage hazard button and hit the ignition button instead. When the ignition button in engaged, the engine turns off. The first time i did this, i was going 65 mph on the interstate. I had to come to a complete stop, put the car in park then re-engage the ignition button to get the engine started again. The second time this occurred, i was on a small side street and was able to stop/re-engage much more easily. I do not know, did not know and did not find information in the owner's manual about what to do if the engine is disengaged at speed. This was extremely dangerous. The engine absolutely should not be so easy to turn off when driving.the first time this happened was about a month after i purchased the car, it happened again about 6 months later. I have only just reported because i finally had my vin number and my computer in the same place at the same time.

Faulty fuel gauge unit:unit containing fuel gauge, odometer, maintenance minder, etc. Would "blue out" on cold mornings and take 10 to 15 minutes to return to activity. Upon returning to active status, it would either be clear and readable or totally garbled with all info displays showing at once on top of each other.took it to honda who could not reproduce the failure but suggested a new fuel gauge unit as a fix.once the unit was replaced there have been no further problems.mileage at initial occurrence: @80,400.cost to fix: $547 for the unit, $89 labor.

Digital gas gauge includes odometer. Last winter, at about 32 degrees or colder, gauge often either did not work (went blank) or scrambled its info, which was then unreadable. Now, the gauge has begun malfunctioning in july. I fear running out of gas or missing maintenance due to unreliable odometer reading. Both situations could leave me stranded at the side of the road. It doesn't matter whether car is moving or not.

While driving on the interstate at appx 65 miles per hour during the evening of 2/14, all the warning lights on the instrument panel briefly lit then shut-off. The engine also shut down causing me to pull to the side of the road and attempt to restart. After depressing the electronic ignition button about 10 times, the vehicle finally started. This vehicle has been experiencing issues with not starting since 02/02. The dealer replaced the start button on 2/5 and replaced the starter on 2/12. Even after those replacements, the car still has issues starting.

Frequently, with the motor running and the car either stationary or moving, the right dash pod displaying led readouts of the odometer, fuel level remaining, running miles per gallon, trip odometer, time and outside temperature will intermittently blank out, sometimes to return as lcd gibberish in anywhere from 10-30 minutes, after which time information may or may not come back in accurate form during the course of a trip.documented by many others on honda fit website www.fitfreak.net (2015 honda fit fuel gauge display failure).

2015 honda fit (with approx. 24k miles). Battery will lose charge after car is not used / sits for three (3) to four (4) days with all lights / radio / accessories turned off. Battery has been replaced three times, most recently august 2020. Replacement battery is properly sized for the vehicle. The electrical issue is causing a parasitic drain on the battery. Dealer reps have stated this is a well-recognized problem with the fit model. Recommendation is that the car be driven at least 10 to 15 miles every day or 2nd day. The recommendation drive the vehicle every day /2nd day is not only expensive in terms of gas costs but also needlessly contributes to pollution and (perhaps by design) early vehicle obsolescence. This important safety defect is most likely caused by a defective electrical load detector (eld) unit in the fuse/relay box. This eld reads the amperage load directly from the battery and sends a varied voltage signal to the pcm which regulates the signal to the alternator. The eld is directly connected to the pcm. The pcm is connected to the alternator, not the eld. The eld monitors the amperage requirements and informs the pcm as to what to do. The eld will vary the output between .1 to 4.8 volts to the ecu. This reference voltage is what tells the ecu to increase or decrease the field strength in the alternator. As the current is ramped up or down the eld ratchets the output voltage to the pcm to compensate for the load.i was told that a honda bulletin stated: symptom: the car will not start after sitting for a week. Probable cause: the eld is faulty or has a faulty solder joint. Solution: - replace the under hood fuse/relay box. This is not covered by warranty.honda motors should be required to recall these cars to fix the eld / pcm parts / alternator computer program and up size the batteries to handle the parasitic draw.

Fuel injectors failed at 104,000 causing a $2k+ repair.routine maintenance was followed per the manual.the push button start also failed at the same time. I believe these issues speak to the poor build quality at the plant in mexico and represent a small portion of the issues inherent in this vehicle.

While merging onto the freeway all the lights on the dashboard lit up and then the car began to sputter as if it was out of gas (but the tank was full), then the car died and would not restart. Was able to pull over on the side of the freeway but it was a very scary place to have this kind of issue.

The contact owns a 2015 honda fit. While driving 25 mph, the transmission warning indicator illuminated and the shifter light was not functioning. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified. The failure mileage was 58,400.

Fuel guage display blanks out, then returns garbled. See attached image.

The digital display that contains information on mileage and fuel levels frequently malfunctions, either going completely blank or rapidly flashing random characters (letters and numbers). This seems to happen in colder weather but for my vehicle has also been happening in warmer (up to 75 degrees f). Issue happens while parked or in motion- any time car is on. A quick search of vehicle owner forums online returns multiple complaints of the same issue. Honda has made no attempts to remedy this despite it being a known issue. Not being able to check the fuel gauge is a safety issue. The flashing is also extremely distracting while driving. This has been happening to my vehicle for years and i finally took it to get fixed at honda now. They charge $179 just to 'diagnose' the issue even though it seems they should be aware of it.

Fuel gauge and mileage display malfunctioning - flickers on and off with incoherent numbers and symbols. Will go off completely and remain blankly backlit, sometimes comes back on and flickers and off again. It was flickering when i started the car in the morning and while i was driving.

Three issues rod nocking at start uppaint peeling on top roof by windshieldand starting to rust windshield safety is compromised buy the rust and should be recalled i was denied a recall for the paint blue low temperature coolant light is on dash with a ambient temp of 55degrees when cold for first couple off minutes of driving can be a problem with the temp not reading right to warn driver of the true coolant temp and or can cause excessive emissions for the engine not to read right and enrichen the mixture which could be the cause of the rod nick possibly gas washed the main bearings in engine

The part of the dashboard that shows the fuel levels, mpg, and odometer keeps shorting out and only showing a blank blue screen. Sometimes it will try to come back on and show random lines and symbols. It's impossible to know how much gas i have, which makes me extremely uncomfortable driving it. This happens when i first start the car. Sometimes it will come back on correctly after about 20-30 minutes of running the car. There has been no correlation in any conditions of when it works verses when it doesn't.

When i turn on my car, the odometer no longer displays information. Every once in a while, it will flicker and glitch and sometimes come back. However, most of the time, i am unable to see my fuel gauge, which is a safety issue. This started back in november 2019, and it now happens every day.

Unable to start car.battery not dead.not a problems with starter.dealership unable to find problem.auto has low mileage. Problems occurred in november 2016 and now in march 2017.

Fuel gauge cluster is a blue blank when the car is cold and i cannot see how much fuel i have. Once the car is warm the gauge displays my fuel level and other information contained on the screen.

The starter in my 2015 honda fit died. I purchased the car september of 2014 and the starter died september 2017, that's a three year life cycle on the part.

With the motor running and the car either stationary or moving, the right dash pod displaying led readouts of the odometer, fuel level remaining, running miles per gallon, trip odometer, time and outside temperature will intermittently blank out, sometimes to return as lcd gibberish in anywhere from 10-30 minutes, after which time information may or may not come back in accurate form during the course of a trip. Purchased the car on 1/24/2020, has happened 3 times since then, most recently on 2/5/2020. Documented by many others on honda fit website www.fitfreak.net (2015 honda fit fuel gauge display failure).

When starting the vehicle, a noise could sometimes be heard when the engine was turning over. Here is a video of the noise (i did not make this video, this came from another person who has the same issue with a 2015 fit. His is a push button start. Mine is a key start.): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dihldjfgqja recently, the noise has stopped, but when starting the car, the dash will turn on, lights, ac, etc...but the engine will not turn over. I sometimes have to attempt to start the car multiple times before the engine actually turns over. This appears to be a common issue in the 2015 honda fit, with many people starting to experience it between about 35k and 50k miles. The car not starting has been going on for a couple weeks, the engine noise was going on for months.here are links of others complaining of the same issue:https://www.carcomplaints.com/honda/fit/2015/engine/premature_starter_failure.shtmlhttps://www.fitfreak.net/forums/3rd-generation-2015/97575-intermittent-starting-problem.htmlhttps://www.fitfreak.net/forums/3rd-generation-2015/97325-2015-fit-wont-start.htmlhttps://www.fitfreak.net/forums/3rd-generation-gk-specific-diy-repair-maintenance-sub-forum/96769-starter-replacement-2015-ex-l.htmlhttps://www.carcomplaints.com/honda/fit/2015/electrical/starter_failure.shtmlhttps://talk.dallasmakerspace.org/t/2015-honda-fit-lx-random-no-start-issues-resolved/27746http://www.carproblemzoo.com/honda/fit/starter-problems.php

The car is progressively getting more difficult to start with about 15 tries.i had it diagnosed for the starter and it tested fine.also the alternator, batter and fob battery checked out fine

Dash screen goes blank and can not read amount of fuel left or current mileage. Took the car to honda dealership but they were not able to replicate and fix the issue. This is the faulty part and need to get it fixed

The integrated odometer+fuel gauge display on the dashboard instrument clusterfails intermittently but regularly.display failure has occurred sporadically many times during several years of car ownership. Frequency and duration of display failure has increased significantly within last 6 months resulting in increased safety hazard since driver is blinded to vehicle fuel status and/or distance driven when display fails. Display failure occurs partially or completely as shown in the attached photos, and sometimes the failure lasts for many miles or multiple days before it self-corrects until the next failure occurs. Display failure occurs sporadically regardless of vehicle being stationary or in motion, but happens much more frequently (almost every other day) during cold weather when air temperature is below 50 degrees.

The contact owns a 2015 honda fit. The contact stated that the wires in the vehicle attracted rodents, who chewed through the wires. The contact was concerned for his safety. The vehicle was taken to a dealer who diagnosed that the casing of the wires was made of a material that attracted rodents. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was not available. Ma 10/21/15

4 warning ligghts glowed. Saftey breaking, steering, tires, engine lights.aug. 21,2018took to honda dealer. Found misfire cylinder #1. Replacement of cylinder was done replaced ignition coils. Car was fine. On oct 28,2018 again same lights came on again ! found online there was a saftye recall done for this issue. But my car had no recalls. Please help. This is expensive and frighteing.

The speedometer and gas register either goes blank or shows gibberish several times a day.you cannot deduce speed limit on highway or see how much gas you have.

I have owned this car for three years, it has 81,166 miles on it and is having so many problems. The engine burns through oil faster than it should and has cause permanent damage. I always took it in to the dealership for oil changes and always brought it in when the oil life was at roughly 20%. I constantly checked the oil level and it was always low even after a recent fill up but had no leakage. I now need a new engine which will cost roughly $5000 including labor maybe more. Every time i started my car for the past year it would make a rough loud sound and would usually go away once i got an oil change. My car will also take roughly 3 tries to start and will most likely need a new starter. This is the second time i have had to have the starter fixed in the past 2 years. The back up camera is also way off with depth perception and has almost caused many accidents.

Electronic cluster failure affecting fuel gauge and engine temperature display. This can cause an accident if the vehicle runs out of fuel or engine overheats. After looking into this, it's a major issue affecting thousands of honda fit owners and a recall should be put in place for this.

When using the econ button, my vehicle engine often dies at a stop. I've checked it out several times and it only does this when the econ system is activated. Taking it to dealer on multiple occasions, but it never happens for them and it never throws a malfunction code. Works fine during normal operation. One other problem, when this issue arises is that i cannot restart the car without getting out of the vehicle and taking the key fob out of range for at least 30+ seconds. Once the electronics reset, i can once again start the vehicle. As you can visualize, this is sometimes a dangerous situation out on a bust road or street.

My car makes a horrible grinding sound when it turns on. It's done it since i got the car and my dealer would not fix it when it was under warranty.

I bought honda fit 2015 on jan 11, 2015. Last year i got the problem with the engine start/stop button. The engine did not start when i pushed the button many times. On june 13, 2020, i brought my card to honda dealer. They said they have to replace the starter. I left the car at dealer and come back to pick up the same day. At dealer parking lot, i started my car and it did the same problem again. I came back inside the office and let the technician knew. So, i left my car again at dealer for them to fix it. At that time, my car was 29,221 miles only for 5 and half years. I not drivemy car a lot justabout 12 miles per day. Dealer told me they had to fixed something else and charged me for total $750. I think it is not fair for me to pay defective product. I file the complain with honda company on june 2020 and did not receive any reply back. Feb 20, 21, i received a letter from honda about warranty extension for 2015-17 fit keyless start system error with dtc b12c5. Honda would reimburse if i fixed that problem before. I filed paperwork with all receipts on 02/23/21. Today, i got the phone call from honda claim department 03/11/2021 they stated i did not qualified for reimburse because the part they replaced not qualified. I still don't understand why? because of the problems, one day i had to stay on parking lot for 30 minutes tring to start the engine. I was late for work and late for my appointments twice.the reimburse claim number: 11377164. The claim department told me my case was closed because i am not qualified for this situation. I am not a technician, i don't know what did they do with the car. The only thing i know is with 29,221 miles honda engine start/stop button not working. This is the 2nd honda car i have. For this experience i will not buy any car from honda anymore.

Valve timing control (vtc) actuator is defective and can cause catastrophic engine failure. The issue manifests itself as an occassional innocuous rattle at cold-start (after sitting overnight). American honda has issued service bulletin 16-088 (february 2017) to address defective variable valve timing control (vtc) actuators on the 2015 honda fit (https://testing-public.carmd.com/tsb/download/118695/a16-088) and many more service bulletins for defective vtc actuators in other of its vehicles over the years (e.g. Https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2016/sb-10088283-2280.pdf).we were lucky enough to video-record one of the episodes and get the car to the dealer - where they diagnosed the issue and performed repair. It is unsettling that honda is not being proactive in addressing this issue before an exploding eying causes harm.

My vehicle began running roughly and all the dash lights came on.i was told there is a misfire in one of the cylinders and this could be an extremely expensive repair.my vehicle has 48000 miles on it and this shouldn't happen.from doing some online research, this seems to be a recurring complaint by several people.

Vehicle has 48,000 miles. Check engine light came on, took it into dealership for diagnosis. All four fuel injectors needed to be replaced due to gumming (not due to quality of fuel). The vehicle received a safety recall servicing in 2016 that could affect the fuel injectors, but no issues were recorded by the dealership.the vehicle is under a service bulletin on faulty fuel injectors for all vin's of the honda fit 2015, and the ntsb number for that is: a16-034.both service techs and customer service at honda found the issue to be abnormal especially because the issue effected all four injectors, not just one.

The contact owns a 2015 honda fit. The contact stated that the engine splash guard separated several times after the vehicle received routine maintenance at spreen honda (25050 redlands boulevard, loma linda, ca 92354, phone (909) 799-7070). The dealer replaced the engine splash guard; however, the contact was charged for the engine splash guard replacement. The manufacturer was not notified. The approximate failure mileage was 13,000.

P0303 misfire cylinder 4; checked live data, all cylinders misfiring. Recommended to replace all fuel injectors and fuel pipe due to "known issues with direct fuel injectors" as stated by honda dealership. Car idles roughly. Car lost power while accelerating to highway speeds, causing stall on highway. Additional engine codes indicate fuel problems - p2906 and p0172. Replacement of damaged ignition coils and sparks plugs also required.

I could've died!!driving down the interstate all of sudden all the warning lights flashed & my car wouldn't go. Was told it was catalytic converter & fuel injectors needed to be replaced. $2900. Had them replaced & same day i got my car back no check engine came on, was driving down the interstate & just stopped going. I couldn't give it gas & the rpms revved up, cars flying past me trying to make it to the shoulder! it was terrifying!!! read there have been a lot of issues with the fuel injectors, but honda making customers pay for it. I bought the fit so i could have a reliable commute & now i don't feel safe at all.

A couple of days ago i went to turn my car on, while stationary the dashboard lights lit up out of nowhere.the tpms sensor began flashing, the check engine light came on, along with the eps & vsa lights. The car just got to 68k miles. I went to get my car scanned and the result was a misfire on cylinder 4. After doing more research, i found that many other cars (of this exact model) had this same issue & have been recalled, but mine hasn't. I'm worried it may become a bigger issue to my safety.

I took the car into the honda dealer in bellevue, wa for an oil change and a buyer's inspection with leak down test.the next day, i could hear a loud rattling noise when i started the car.i took it back to honda and they say it is the vtc actuator, along with timing chain, serpentine belt and water pump, which they did not list as issues during the 1st appointment, which was supposed to be a total inspection of the car.not sure if they missed it or caused the additional issues.i took it to a 2nd mechanic, told him my whole story, and he said it was the vtc actuator too.i researched online and apparently many people have this issue, and most catch it before their 60k mile warranty is up.however, my car is at 74k miles.apparently honda was redesigned the vtc actuator, because it was such a big problem.however, they have not gone back to fix all the cars that had the issue.the mechanic says if i drive with this condition it could cause engine failure, which if it happens while driving, could pose a safety risk. I strongly feel that this is something that honda should recall or at least extend the warranty to 100k miles for this issue.

While in motion, the plastic engine splash guard came off and was dragging on the road at 80 mph. Only 1 pin was left in on inspection. It makes a horrible noise like a tire went flat. This guard must be removed to change the oil and it was changed by dealership 2 weeks prior. This is the 2nd time it has happened in the 14 months i've owned the car. The clips that hold it in are plastic, they do not hold and have to be replaced after every oil change. This is a safety and road hazard to other drivers. There are many, many complaints about this in hand fit forums. It is a design flaw and many owners have taken to putting on zip ties after oil changes.

Plastic engine under cover will not stay attached due to design flaw using plastic screws to hold it on. Have had multiple mechanics re attach and the item has the same issue. Issue has occurred 3 times since car purchase in 2015.panel comes unattached after an oil change and makes unexpected sounds and impairs driver safety.

The contact owns a 2015 honda fit. While driving 55 mph, the accelerator pedal was depressed and failed to respond. After several seconds, the vehicle independently accelerated. Parker honda (located at 5327 hwy 70 w, morehead city, nc 28557, (252) 247-2488) was notified of the failure. The contact was informed that the coils needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The approximate failure mileage was 42,000.

Starter started having problems after less than 60,000 miles.finally failed at 65,000 and required replacement.online blogs indicate i'm not alone, but that this is a known honda fit issue.

When starting the vehicle, a noise could sometimes be heard when the engine was turning over. Here is a video of the noise (i did not make this video, this came from another person who has the same issue with a 2015 fit. His is a push button start. This appears to be a common issue in the 2015 honda fit, with many people starting to experience it between about 35k and 50k miles. The starter in my 2015 honda fit died. I purchased the car september of 2014 and the starter died september 2017, that's a three year life cycle on the part.

Dear nhtsa,my 2015 honda fit rattle's on cold start initially when you start the engine.after about 6-8 hours after letting the engine cool the noise will reappear.the issue is the vtc actuator.being a fairly new vehicle for it's age it's very disappointing to hear such disturbing noise every time i start up the car.i have been experiencing this for the past year, starting in june 2017.at first, my understanding was that it was the engine splash guard.last year i was driving on the freeway (70mph zone) and all of a sudden i hear a scrapping noise.the road was completely free of debris, and when i pulled over the engine splash guard came up, along with breaking both tabs on the front bumper.i had engine splash replaced 3 months ago using brand new clips (plastic which actually ends up breaking) and screws.even after fixing the engine splash guard, the vtc rattle noise still appeared.recently, the engine splash guard still managed to pop off on the freeway.at this point, i'm fed up with the terrible disappointment this vehicle has given me along with its build quality.another thing to note is the door panel making a rattling noise.after taking off the door panel, i noticed the the plastic lining is detaching from the black glue that is keeping it in place.possibly, the heat is causing the black glue to melt.

My car has approximately 60,000 miles on it and has only ever been used for transport from home to school. I was driving at approximately 20 mph and the check engine light came on while i was in motion. A couple minutes later, the power steering, traction, and tire pressure light came on all at the same time while i was in motion. My car jerked and i lost control for a brief second. The lights will flash on and off at random times while i'm in motion and is especially terrifying when trying to drive at a highway speed. Many people with 2015 honda fits have had similar issues and i would encourage you to explore this danger. A car that new with relatively low mileage should not be experiencing mechanical issues that put their drivers at risk.

At 56,000 miles this car needs a starter replacement.according to research, these cars shouldn't require this until at least 100,000 mikes. This is a great disappointment as i have been a honda owner for about 20 years, and expect much more. The cost to replace this is from $609.00 -$1100.00.

My 2015 honda fit with 50,000 miles had defective fuel injectors.i've always serviced the vehicle regularly.a cylinder started misfiring (fault code po301).i had to take it to the dealer to get fixed.they charged me $2000 to change all the injectors.the injectors were out of warranty (3 years or 36,000 miles).my car is 4 years old with 50,000.i had to pay out of pocket.

Purchased car new from dealer 7/2015. In 2/2018 all warning lights came on while driving. Honda replaced the fuel injectors. Same issue again in 4/2018 & honda replaced injectors again. Service rep (richfield- bloomington honda) told us they were seeing this problem in fits that were low mileage & "not driven much." rep could not tell us how much driving would be "enough" or how to avoid future problems. 4/2019 same problem --all warning lights came on while driving again & this time honda replaced the cylinder head. Service director told us that, while the car is "currently fixed," he "sees no reason this problem won't continue to happen" bc we don't drive much. He stated that 2015 fit has direct injection technology & needs to be driven more at high speeds to burn off carbon, but he acknowledged that he didn't "know how much was enough & it's not in the owner's manual." he stated "you'll have this problem again next winter or spring."i asked the service director what the risks are driving when the injectors & engine have build-up & he said the "car can seize up if it gets bad--it has to be cleaned off."i called honda customer service (manufacturer, not dealer) & explained this and that they have a service director telling me the problem will happen again.honda refused to take a report "because the car is operating right now."all these repairs have been under warranty; these repairs are thousands of dollars. This is not what we want or expect from a new vehicle. Honda will not make this right.

Since shortly after i purchased the car on june 13, 2014, bad to awful odors have been emitted from the hvac system. The service department at the dealership from whom i purchased it has serviced it three times (2014/09/17 @ 4,982mi, 2014/09/27 @ 5,254mi, 2014/10/31 @ 6,589mi). Each time, foaming ac cleaner was used. The third one also involved removing the blower assembly (they cut away part of the dashboard to get it out) so they could spray cleaner directly into the evaporator box, though only the inlet side of the evaporator coils is accessible.after each service, air coming out the vents would smell of cleaner for a few days, then the bad smells would be done for a few days and then return. The third service was the longest-lasting, but bad odors and now mold spores started coming out again, first noticeable in early december 2014.it has gotten so bad i have had several severe symptoms of mold exposure, including itchy throat and eyes, sinus headaches, sharp sinus pain, bloody nasal discharge, sometimes with large clots. I've started using n95 or n100 respirators, driving with windows open and minimizing use of the hvac. The interior of the car smells moldy/mildewy without using the hvac system; i think mold is now in the rest of the interior, and this car is kept overnight in a de-humidified garage!i submitted a complaint with american honda early february 2015, a complaint with the ohio attorney general's office mid-february and submitted a lemon law claim on 2015/03/06 to the arbitration program honda makes owners use. Honda has been unresponsive thus far.honda's celaya, mexico plant, in addition to labor issues, had transport trains hijacked, with parts stolen from many cars. If this is true, these cars should never have been sold as new! it would explain the loose driver door trim and rear hatch trim i found on my car and snapped into place.

Entertainment system loses contact with smartphone plugged into usb port. Sometimes turning off and turning the audio system restores contact, sometimes turning the car off completely is required. Unplugging and re-plugging the smartphone does not fix the problem.this occurred first months ago (don't recall when or at what mileage as it's not a safety or health problem), but has started to occur more frequently the last couple of weeks. The increasing frequency has increased the irritation factor.

When faced with heavy impact the vehicle do not active the air bags. However, the damage of the vehicle were of such magnitude that it broke the transmission, the clutch housing, the front body kit such as fog light , front bumpers and other parts.

The contact owns a 2015 honda fit. The contact stated that the head lamps failed to illuminate. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the harness wire was melted and needed to be replaced. The dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 89,000.

Attempt to start car, will not start - has new battery, new plugs, gas; it's a manual - check engine light has been on for about 6 months - intermittent starting problems.today - tried to start, nothing.has been diagnosed with engine light - p 105 - 1st fuel injector not functioning properly, running lean.disgusting - first honda in 4 that i have owned that is broken. This is way beyond simple wear and tear.5 year old car should start - every time.

My 2015 honda fit ex started experiencing technical issues at 25k miles. My alternator was replaced and now at 45k miles i need the fuel injectors replaced. The honda dealership is asking for $2300 to fix it. Non-powertrain warranty has expired

Unintended and sudden acceleration. November 2015 the car was making a right hand turn into a parking space, while pressing the brake the car suddenly accelerated the brakes did not work, the car traveled about 70 feet before stopping.took it to tom wood honda all they checked was the brakes and said it was fine. Update: february 2016 making a right hand turn into a parking space at a panera bread gently tapped the brakes the car accelerated and went thru the door at panera bread.tom wood honda checked the brakes says its fine and released it to the collision center.i am making lease payments on this car but when it's repaired it is staying at the lot. It accelerates on it's own and is going to kill someone. I cannot allow anyone in my family to drive it. I also cannot afford insurance wise to drive a car i know accelerates when it decides to.

Our 2015 honda fit, with only 56,000 miles on it, suddenly stalled right as i tried to accelerate after being stopped at an intersection. I tried restarting the engine multiple times, but after turning over and running for maybe 1 second, the engine would quickly shut off and was completely inoperable. This is an extremely dangerous problem, stalling us in the middle of a busy 8-lane avenue and the car had to be pushed up a hill and off to a side road as there was no shoulder. With my spouse and four month old daughter in the car, it put my family in a great deal of danger.the dealer finally cited a faulty fuel pressure sensor inside the fuel rail. With so many others reporting failures with either the fuel injectors or fuel rail, this is obviously a faulty part(s) and will hopefully be resolved by honda. I could see this happening if the car were 10 years old or more, but on a car with only 55,000 miles and four years old? that defeated the whole purpose of buying a supposedly reliable car from honda.

My car suddenly started to shimmer and have a fluctuation in power as i was driving on the interstate at 60 mph. I had to move over two lanes to park on the shoulder and turn off the engine. The following warning lights were on: malfunction; traction control; power steering and the tire pressure light was blinking nonstop (it was on solid prior to the incident). I was not safe on the shoulder with cars flying by on the interstate. I pressed the start button and after a slight hesitation, the car started. I was able to drive a half mile on the shoulder and get off the interstate so i was in a safer location. The car's power was inconsistent as i drove this half mile. All the warming lights remained on. I had the car towed to the honda dealer's shop. The honda shop was able to replicate the same problem and warning lights that i reported. They said the high pressure fuel pump had failed and replaced it. They did not provide any explanation what the part failed. The car only has 12,000 miles on it and has had all the scheduled service and recalls addressed, now that the high pressure fuel pump has been replaced the car runs normal again. Exactly two weeks before this incident, the same honda dealer shop changed my oil & filter and performed the scheduled maintenance checks and they replaced the plug top ignition coil per a safety recall. I have wondered if there could be a relationship between the failure of the high pressure fuel pump and the dealer shop having replaced the plug top ignition coil. I have the honda dealer paperwork supporting my reports. The car's shimmering and loss of power on the interstate put me in serious danger of a car accident.

Car had a little over 48,000 miles on it.check engine light came on.took it to dealership, they said the fuel injectors all needed to be replaced. The vehicle is under a service bulletin on faulty fuel injectors for all vin's of the honda fit 2015, and the ntsb number for that is: a16-034. But the dealership said there was nothing they could do to help cover the costs.looking at $1800 in repairs for an issues that shouldn't be happening this early in the life of the car.unbelievable.

Vehicle intstrument lcd where it displays fuel gauge, odometer trip meter is going out intermenttly. Vehicle is too risky to drive if you dont if you dont how much fuel you have left.

Car stalls when warmed up. Then will not start until the engine cools down. This fit was made in 8/14 and i believe it should have been included in recall number 15v559. Car hesitated as we tried to enter at a yield with a car approaching causing a serious safety issue for us. Dealer said it was all 4 bad fuel injectors, but that doesn't seem to match the symptoms. I suspect the coils are at fault once they heat up and fail.

Four warning lights came on while driving. I could hear and feel a cylinder misfire. Dealer service diagnosed fuel injector failure and replaced the injectors and related parts. Car driven only 50k miles and well maintained.

Fuel injector issue.

My check engine light has been coming on a lot recently. Took it to a dealer in lacrosse wi. Today to have it checked and they said that all the fuel injectors need replaced. I asked if it could still safely be driven. They said that it could become disabled, stranding me wherever it happens. I don't feel safe driving the car after what i was told by the dealer today. I have done some researcing of the faulty injector problem and it seems to be an issue that honda has known about for a long time and their only solution is over a $1700 replacement cost.

After only 48,000 miles i had to replace the fuel injector set, part # 16010-5r1-315 and the fuel pipe set, part # 16012-5r1-315 for a total cost (including labor) of $1,760.00..dealer found check engine code p0171 - fuel system too lean.the check engine code appeared when the vehicle was stationary and in motion.

In colder weather, gas gauge does not work. When car warms up comes back on. However, could take up to ten minutes. When driving, could run out of gas without knowing.

Fuel injection system failure at 47,000 requiring all four injectors needing replacement.

Driving honda fit with approximately 65,000 miles. No prior issues with regular maintenance being done on it. All dashboard warning lights (check engine, tps, traction control sensor and steering wheel with exclamation mark) went on in the vehicle while driving on a city street to work. Vehicle did not operate well and did not feel safe drive. Took to local honda mechanic and was diagnosed with a p0420 cylinder misfire code. Was told this was a known issue with this model of hondas and have found multiple reports online as such. Was told my engine could be damaged and it is unsafe to drive. Called honda dealership and was told them would not cover it and was out of warranty.

Yesterday (9/14/18) while driving home from work four of the malfunction lights came on. I was on city streets in sarasota, fl. The lights were tpms, emissions, power steering and traction. The attached photo was taken when i arrived home. I made an appointment with the dealer i purchased the vehicle from, venice honda, for this morning 9/15/18. They informed me the fuel injectors needed to be replaced at a cost of $1400. The estimate is attached. I balked at the cost of the repair after they informed me this issue is known by honda and the dealer would not provide me with any financial assistance. I found that honda has known about this problem for about two (2) years but did not issue a recall. This is a safety issue because it happens without warning and the vehicle could stall resulting in an accident. I filed a complaint with honda and would like them to reimburse me for at least 50% of the cost of the repair.

Car is stumbling on acceleration and riding ruff. Dealer states all injectors need to be replaced with a new style injector (part number16010-5r1-315).one injector going bad i can understand but all 4 injector in 50,000 miles and replaced with a new style injector, this is a defect.

I had all emergency lights come on while driving my properly maintained 2015 honda fit which currently had 26,000 miles. I immediately took the car to the nearest honda dealership and was told there was a code p0301 misfire on cylinder 1. I was told that all fuel injectors and joint pipe would need to be replaced. I was also told i needed to upgade the pgm-f! software as well as adjust engine valves. Despite the powertrain warranty still being in effect, i was told this would not be a warranty covered service.

At times the car will stall when going around a corner. It seems like the fuel injection stalls out temporarily. I have taken the car to venice honda in florida twice. I was informed that nothing more can be done. I have the recall letter from honda. Nhtsarecall 15v-559. When i wrote to american honda motor company in california they replied that they need lots more info before they can reimburse me. Apparently whoever wrote this does not know that customers do not have to pay anything on a safety recall. I don't want money, i want the problem fixed before i get hit from behind. It mostly stalls in city traffic making a turn and sometimes taking off from a stop light.

I was driving 75mph on the highway, under cruise control. I accelerated to pass a truck. The engine hesitated. A tire pressure monitoring system, vehichle stabbilty assist, electrical power steering and a flashing check engine light, came on. The car began slowing against my inputs to 45mph (limp mode) on a busy highway many miles from anywhere.i was able to reset the code by disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it. This got me a few more miles, the it (limp mode) happened again. I disconnect/reconnect battery once more and this gets me 35 more miles and to the nearest town.taking it to a shop, they identify the issue as the fuel injectors by researching online. It turns out this is fairly common on this year (2015) of honda fit, and still seems to persist despite a redesign of the injectors from honda.the repair was horribly expensive ($1,000 for parts from honda), both for a cheap and cheerful car, as well as what appears to be very ordinary solenoid fuel injectors. I'm very surprised that this know issue by honda hasn't spawned a recall, but either way, i'm very disappointed in this car.

Electronic cluster failure affecting fuel gauge and engine temperature display. This can cause an accident if the vehicle runs out of fuel or engine overheats. After looking into this, it's a major issue affecting thousands of honda fit owners and a recall should be put in place for this.

After 95000 miles, transmission failed with very little warning. For about 25 miles on city streets, the car bucked at speeds under 30 mph. Stopped at a store, and could not leave parking lot because transmission just stopped completely. I had done all of the scheduled maintenance at honda dealerships, and i purchased the car as new.

The contact owns a 2015 honda fit. While attempting to accelerate from a stop, the vehicle jerked and lost power without warning. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that an internal part of the transmission was fractured. The technician did not remedy the failure. The vehicle was scheduled to be towed to a dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that there was no record of a recall remedy performed on the vehicle. The manufacturer advised the contact to take the vehicle to a dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 89,000.

Vehicle would not shift out of park. This would occur randomly and became increasing more difficult. Override had to be used several times. When we reported this to the dealer, first question was "do the brake lights work?" dealer replaced brake switch p/n 36750-ty0-j11 as a repair attempt. Service noted the technician felt this was the problem and to let them know if it recurs. To-date (3 days after repair - ok at this time. 1st occurrence took 4.6k).question; does honda have a brake light switch issue?note: i was surprised that the dealer had the part in stock for such a new vehicle.

Driving down the turnpikeand the transmission stopped workinglike i was in neutral.i saw a recall on line for my exact make, model and yeardescribing the same symptoms.i contacted honda but they said that my car wasn't a part of the recallwhich doesn't make sense. Http://blog.caranddriver.com/honda-recalling-143000-civic-and-fit-models-for-cvt-trouble/

I was at a ramp meter entering the freeway.i started to accelerate and as i started to get ready to enter the freeway, my car lost acceleration mid way.when pressing the gas, my car did not accelerate.i quickly exited the freeway and found that the light that indicates what gear i am in showed both n (neutral) and d (drive) overlapping each other.when i stopped to the traffic light after exiting the freeway, my car would not accelerate even when i shift my car to d (drive).it acted as if it was in neutral.i turned off and turned back on the car and tried again.i shifted the gear to d but no acceleration.i was unable to move my car from the traffic light and was blocking traffic for those who were exiting the freeway. I am lucky it did not happen while i was on the freeway.at this time, honda dealership has stated that something in the transmission is broken.the honda representative stated there was no way anyone who has worked on my car nor the owner would have known or prevented this.i researched issues with honda fit 2015 and found "nhtsa id number: 11309296." although my vin does not say my car had a recall for the transmission, i am concerned that my car has the same issue as the recall as my car was likely manufactured during the time frame stated.

This started happening earlier this week and has recurred a few times.after backing out of my garage and moving the at from r to d, it takes a few seconds for power to be delivered to the drive wheels. Since i've been holding down the accelerator a little bit, expecting forward motion, when power is finally sent to the drive wheels, the car surges a little bit. I have learned to compensate for this by feathering the accelerator pedal until power is sent to the drive wheels, but this would make parallel parking or getting out of a tight curb-side space very tedious and may cause a slight accident.

The contact owns a 2015 honda fit. While driving 25 mph, the transmission warning indicator illuminated and the shifter light was not functioning. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified. The failure mileage was 58,400.

I was on the freeway and my vehicle started acting strange-it was having difficult accelerating and felt bumpy. I was able to exit off of the freeway. The vehicle stopped moving and would not engage into gear. I could not drive or reverse the vehicle. I had the vehicle towed to a honda dealership. They drained and inspected the fluid to find metal debris in magnet that looked like cvt belt parts. They said the cvt belt broke transmission and the transmission needed to be replaced. I found the nhtsa recall reference number 15v574000.the description of the defect is that software settings that control the transmission operation may result in damage to the transmission drive pulley shaft.i was told that my vin is not a part of this recall. My vehicle is just outside of warranty at about 72,000 miles but less than 5 years old. I was asked to pay a portion towards the transmission replacement.

Stopped at the rotary. Looked for clear traffic. Entered rotary. Loud metallic bang, no drive. Needed to use what little momentum i had to move from the inside left lane to the right side breakdown lane. Almost rear ended by a tailgating motorist. Called aaa for tow.

In spite of my repeated requests, the honda customer service representative located at torrance, ca (tel.# 800-999-1009) will not give me the part number of the drive pulley shaft (with low hardness) installed on my vehicle (vn [xxx])!in october 2015 i received the following ?important safety recall? notice concerning my 2015 honda fit with cvt transmission (vn [xxx]):during certain driving conditions, a combination of high stress exerted from the cvt programming along with potential drive pulley shafts manufactured with low hardness, the drive pulley shaft may break during operation.if the drive pulley shaft breaks the vehicle may lose acceleration or the front wheels may lock up, increasing the risk of a crash.the recommended cvt software update was performed by the honda dealership immediately upon receipt of the safety recall notice.however my vehicle had been driven over 18,000 miles prior to receipt of the recall notice and it is very possible that damage to the ?low hardness? drive pulley shaft has already occurred!for my personal safety it is important that i have this information ? please help. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

I bought a 2015 honda fit. It has 23,000 miles and it is out of the 5 year warranty. The transmission has failed and honda refuses to accept blame for a faulty transmission installed at the factory.my car is not the only one with this problem. Honda is aware of this and still allows an unsafe car to be driven without recalls or warnings.honda wanted almost $ 5,000 to repair this , but the local transmission shop gave me an estimate of $1754 for a used 2017 transmission...

While on a road trip in late 2019, i noticed a slight shudder at low acceleration. I found the nearest honda dealer and took the vehicle in for evaluation. It had 84,000 miles at the time. The dealer found that the transmission filler plug was missing. Apparently it had been missing for some time, as there was caked, dirty atf spilled down the side of the transmission case. The transmission (cvt) was coming apart internally and required a full replacement. Honda declined any financial assistance with the repair. I have found multiple other references in online forums to filler caps on 2015 honda cvts popping out during operation.

The contact owns a 2015 honda fit. While driving approximately 65 mph, the transmission failed without warning. The contact stated that the vehicle gradually decreased in speed. The contact pulled the vehicle over to the side of the road and had it towed the following day to rock honda (16570 south highland avenue, fontana, california 92336, (909) 770-8400). The dealer determined that there was internal damage within the transmission and that an unknown sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 8,460.

My complaint concerns the manufacturers "fix" forthe cvt drive pully shaft that is incorrectly surface harden/heat treated.honda tenders a software fix to reduce loads on the incorrectly manufactured part.i feel that the software fix is an economical response, that after the software is changed, still leaves my vehicle with an incorrectly manufactured part that couldfail, causing the an accident.i feel the correct repair would be to replace the defective part with one correctly manufactured.

When faced with heavy impact the vehicle do not active the air bags. However, the damage of the vehicle were of such magnitude that it broke the transmission, the clutch housing, the front body kit such as fog light , front bumpers and other parts.

I was driving on the freeway in the far left and all of a sudden i heard a engine rpms go high and then i lost the transmission. When it happened, the d on the dashboard became full with all the different letters. A distinct letter was not visible. Trying to accelerate and nothing happened. I pulled over to the emergency lane, i was lucky to reach it being on the i10 west in san bernardino. Turned off and on the vehicle and shifted, but it didn't engage. The only function that works is park. The vehicle doesn't move forward or backwards. Waiting to be towed to spreen honda in loma linda.

While driving on an interstate at a steady highway speed, i lost all control to accelerate. The vehicle had to be coasted to the shoulder to avoid the potential for an accident. Auto dealer confirmed the transmission had failed catastrphically and that a new transmission would be needed for the vehicle. The dealership also stated that i, as the consumer did nothing to contribute to this event - they could not explain how it could have happened so early on. The vehicle was well-maintained. At the time of this writing, it is currently owned for only 2.5 years and has 80,000 miles of which 90% are highway miles. The car was towed under owner's car insurance-provided roadside assistance. The repair process is not yet complete and thusdocumentation can and will be provided later if needed,

2015 honda fit.consumer writes in regards to unsatisfactory customer service at dealership with drive pulley shaft recall repairs.recall # 15v574000.

Transmission failed very suddenly at 77,600 miles with no prior signs that it was having issues. Luckily car was stopped at a stoplight, otherwise this could have been very dangerous. Car was immediately immobilized. Car was towed to the local honda dealer and then to a transmission shop where the attached pictures were taken. Hundreds of metal shards were found inside the pan.

Car makes constant humming noise from the transmission beginning at a speed of 25mph.

At 1700 thousand miles rotors need resurfacing.starter needed to be replaced.transmission was replaced.all under warranted

I was advised to file a complaint about my concerns by jennifer timian, chier of the recall management division office of defects investigations enforcement.this is not a typical complaint. It is not about an accident that has occurred, but rather preventive measure to keep them from happening. There is already a recall about the defect in these cars (15v-574). This complaint is about a safety issue and the fix that honda has implemented for it. It is my opinion that there is a serious flaw in how they are fixing the defect that leaves the operators of these affected vehicles(over 100,000 of them) in danger.the reason for this recall is quite serious. It appears that some of the pulley shafts in the cvt transmissions were manufactured with low hardness and this coupled with high forces in the cvt transmission can cause the pulley shaft to fail resulting in loss of all drive and in one instance locking of the front wheels (a very dangerous condition that can easily result in someone being killed). The solution that honda came up with was to change the programming in the cvt to reduce the force on the part. This in not the correct way to fix the problem. The flaw that honda is overlooking is that these cars have been driven and the part has been exposed to stresses that have caused it fail in similar vehicles. In the case of my girlfriend for over a year. The part can easily be weakened and close to failure. Reducing the forces applied to it can not insure that the part will not fail. I feel that the correct fix would be to replace the part with one that is properly hardened or at least inspect and test the part to insure that its strength has not been compromised.i will attached realted pdf's

While on daily commute, transmission randomly started violently shaking for approx 1/8 mile and a loud bang occurred. I pulled over to the shoulder to visually inspect underside of vehicle but nothing was out of the ordinary. When shifting out of park, the vehicle was unable to continue driving forward or reverse regardless of revving engine.

My car started making a jack hammer noise 10/2020 while driving, when it was 5 years old with 47,000. The honda dealership diagnosed my transmission was slipping and needed replacing. Apparently, there have been 143000 recalls due to transmission failure.

Seatbelt buckles in center of back seats are bolted into seat crossed, making the seatbelt buckles overlapping eachother in back seat. Could pose risk of breaking due to excess weight not supported by one bolt. Weight of two passengers are now distributed between the bolts, instead of one bolt per person.

Center and driver rear seat belt buckles are installed backwards causing the seatbelts to not function correctly. Honda fix is to invert the bracket, which changes the angle of the load applied to the seatbelt in the event of an accident.

Hello,my wife owns a honda fit 2015, just recently she went to pick my mother up from the hospital after a shoulder operation. When my wife arrived at my mother's home she stopped the car in front of my mom's home (on city street), she opened the passenger side door and to try to help my mother to exit the car, she pulled the seatbelt to release it, but it only got tighten more and more, to the point of being unable to unrestrained it, during that process of trying to unrestrained the seat belt, my mother had to be moved back and forth and to the sidesand she started bleeding from her shoulder, therefore my wife had no other choice than to cut it. The car was later taken to the dealer and they said that, was not a warranty issue because my wife cut the seat belt. They gave us an estimate of $685.00 to repair it, we said that we were not going to pay for it, so they gave us the honda corporate phone number. I called them and they agreed to repair the seat belt as a one-time courtesy. They sent us a letter that we had to sign so we would release them of any liabilities moving forward if the seat belt would malfunction again, is this legal? i need your help, whether to advise us to sign the letter or not, or if we should seek for legal counsel.thank you. Sincerely,[xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

I read online that rear seatbelts were being installed incorrectly in mexico honda plant (ceyla, mexico).so, i tried out the belts.one seatbelt does no work at all !! the left 'female' piece does not have anything inside of it that locks in the male belt piece, rendering it useless.it is empty inside, so no clicking noise as when buckling yourself in.also, the driver's seatbelt is akin to sumo wrestling to get the male belt part out of the female part.i have to really tug on belt, and i'm 54 years old with no arthritis in my hands or grip-strength problems.these seatbelts are awful.clearly, the rear-seatbelt issue is a major safety violation.

The seat belt buckles in the back seat on both the driver's side and in the center of back seat are reversed.it creates confusion.rear passengers have to cross seat belts to buckle. I worry this might affect seat belt tension with hard braking or a crash, thereby creating a safety hazard.

Rear left and center seat belt latches are reversed - the center base is on the left and the middle is in the center position - meaning that the rear left and center passengers would have to cross seat belts in order to buckle them.

Due to others reporting it, i also check the seat belt buckles in the rear seat of my fit lx, and the center and left-side rear passenger buckles are also reversed in my car.with a little bit of effort, i was able to twist them around, but now they don't come back through so easily when i flip the seat bottom back down. I sometimes have to push and pull them through, but at least they are now correctly oriented. However, this is something honda should fix in current production and repair in prior production.

Rear left seat belt buckle and rear center seat belt buckle are installed reversed, center is on left, left is center which makes for extreme difficulties for children to safely buckle and unbuckle their seat belts.my son is 11 and found it difficult. Also it's extremely uncomfortable for him to sit there with the center buckle digging into his hip. I've owned numerous cars and no car maker has ever done such a thing before, let alone try to pass it off as acceptable.

The seat belt buckles on the rear center and rear driver side seat are reversed.the buckle imprinted with the word center is on the rear driver side and the rear driver seat buckle is on the center.the bracket that holds both buckles is not symmetrical.dealer stated that honda corp told to rotate bracket 180 degrees.this changer the bracket for the belts from forward facing to rear facing along with shifting the belts 1.25" to the left if facing the front.this changes the bracket from being in tension in an accident to being a bending moment. The belts not longer go through the center of holes in seat assembly but wear against edges.i stated this was not acceptable and demanded the bracket be return to original orientation. Call honda corp 800 number they just took my name and vin number with out any solution. This needs to be recalled, there supposed fix is nothing more than trying to get by with using a defective rear seat buckle assembly.

There is an issue with the seat belt bracket for the center and left (drivers side) rear seats, the buckles are mounted backwards. So to use the buckle you would have to cross with the other buckle as they are not the same and cannot be interchanged . The buckle mounted towards the outside to be used by that passenger is even marked center. Creates a safety issue for rear passengers.

The driver and passenger seat of the honda fit is very uncomfortable.the seat forces the shoulders forward into a hunched position, just the neck out with the head restraint, and curves the back.i've had to flip the head restraint backward, add a pillow to my back, and i still aim to drive as little as possible.combined with the low shocks, each bump or pothole reverberates throughout my body which isn't able to absorb the shock like it is supposed to.after only a month of driving it i began to experience neck pain that caused me to go to the doctor, then massage therapist.currently due to the neck, back, and hip problems significantly from the car i am in constant, chronic pain which increases after just a few minutes in the car.i just finished 2 months of physical therapy and still have 2-3 massage therapist and chiropractor appointments a month, plus a doctor appointment to get out of the pain.the injury affects my work as well as time at home as i cannot sit or stand in most positions for periods of time longer than 30 minutes without increased pain.i had to cancel a business trip due to the pain and have seriously considered trading in the car to get a better seat.

Driver side seat iscause my neck and back pain.in addition, not enoughleg roomfor the left leg.it crammed in with little space.no back supportlow middle section of my back.i am only 5 7'. Body paintis starting showspot ofunclearclear coat. In addition, random nose coming fromcenter console and parking bark lever wiggles.parking lever does not feel tight, i canmove it side to side. The issue with the seat was present during test drive.i noticed this issue after three monthdriving the car.i thought need time to adjust to the car

Upholstery on both of the front seats is fraying (in spots) after normal use.

The front seats are really uncomfortable. The head restraints on the front seats force our heads too far forwards, causing neck pains and sometimes neck aches or head aches.the front seats don't offer sufficient lumbar support. After 30-45 minutes of riding or driving, our lower backs start to hurt. This pain can last a while after exiting the vehicle.the front seat cushion cuts off circulation below the waist after 40-45 minutes of sitting in them. This numbs my legs, which can reduce reaction time in case i need to try to avoid an accident.

Both front headrests on our 2015 honda fit lx cvt are tilted forward so they, in turn, tilt our heads forward - this causes neck pain and the tendency to have too low of a line of sight, hence this is a safety risk - many cars have this defect but it is rare in cars that are designed for those who love to drive such as porsche, corvette, ferrari, lamborghini, even f1 and indy cars - those manufacturers know that safety and performance demand a neutral driving position so have upright headrests - our first choice for a 4 door car this time was a mazda 3 but its headrests were extreme - the fit was the best of the cars on our list but it is turning out to be a "pain in the neck" - manufacturers should offer a choice of angle for the headrests (this angle and upright would cover it) - only those with kyphotic thoracic spines would find this car comfortable, and most people don't "fit" that description - this may not be the place for it but we don't get more than 25 mpg city driving (epa rating is 33) - dealer denies a problem with that mileage

The contact owns a 2015 honda fit. While driving approximately 35 mph, the vehicle accelerated unintentionally. In addition, the contact stated that the brakes failed to respond when the pedal was depressed. The contact was able to avoid a crash after the vehicle stopped abruptly. The vehicle was taken to a dealer. The technician informed the contact that the vehicle was functioning as designed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 373.

The contact owns a 2015 honda fit. While driving approximately 30 mph down hill, the vehicle accelerated independently and the brakes failed. The vehicle crashed into a building. The passenger sustained a cracked vertebrae in the neck that required medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was taken to a body shop where the insurance company deemed the vehicle destroyed. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 1,300.

I have owned this car 2 weeks. I parked the fit in front of the garage, left the engine running and set the handbrake. I got out to open the door. I was 6 feet from the car when i heard a metallic pop. I turned to see it rolling backwards down the drive. I ran to it but could not stop it. It was slowed by a mound of dirt and stopped by a small tree. I am very sure my thumb was not on the lever button. I worked the lever many times and can detect no unusual sound or feel.

Unpleasant smells started coming out of vents in early july 2014 (i purchased the vehicle new on june 13, 2014). They started as smelling like fresh mulch or dog poo, but became more like mold/mildew, sometimes smelling like wet dirty gym socks and getting as bad as smelling like rotting meat.several attempts (one by me and three by the service department where i'd purchased the vehicle) have been made to correct the problem. Chemical cleaners, replacing the cabin air filter have been done. I have inspected the cowl intakes, cabin air filter and blower box myself and the smells do not emanate from them.i was informed there was a worker walkout at the new mexico-based plant (the real reason for the launch delay in the us from mid-april to mid-june), where the 2015 honda fits for north america are made, and that many vehicles were left standing where they were when the walkout commenced, and the walkout lasted weeks. Someone should investigate this and see what else may have happened to these vehicles while they sat stagnant during the walkout.

The new car turns out to have been infested with fleas. I did not notice this when i test-drove the car on wednesday, june 11. During the drive home on june 13, i noticed what i though were fruit flies (or some other insect that size and are brown and oblong in shape) on my wrists, which i waved out the window.later that night, i felt intense itching on my lower legs. I found several above the sock line on each leg. I suspected fleas and confirmed it with flea traps (the flat type with strong adhesive).my wife insisted i take it back to the dealer, but i thought they'd just use a bug/flea bomb and do a worse job of vacuuming than i would do, so i decided to handle it myself with a bug/flea bomb and intense vacuuming for 2 weeks, which seems to have solved the problem. Over the course of the first weekend, before i started the treatment, i eventually got a total of 25 flea bites, mostly on my legs (higher than on the first day as i wore shorts during the weekend drives), but a few on my forearms as well. I have pictures of the bites, if you are interested. I didn't keep the vacuum bags or flea traps, unfortunately.while working to address a possibly related problem about bad smells coming out of the ventilation system (separately reported here and on carcomplaints.com), i learned there was a worker walkout at the mexico-based plant. I wonder if the fleas and rotting meat smell are related to that incident.

Splash guard between front wheels came off while driving down a completely clear freeway and was dragging. Had to drive 15 miles to the nearest exit to buy duct tape, in the process the entire loose side of the splash guard was ruined. No foreign object hit the splash guard.

After any significant rainfall, water collects within the doors and leaks into the cabin.this water accumulates under the seats and promotes the growth of mold and mildew under the cabin.after a 1-inch rainfall, approximately 2 cups of water collect under the rear seat on the driver side.this leakage occurs both when the car is in motion or stationary.

When faced with heavy impact the vehicle do not active the air bags. However, the damage of the vehicle were of such magnitude that it broke the transmission, the clutch housing, the front body kit such as fog light , front bumpers and other parts.

The clear coat on my car is chipping. There is spots all over the drivers side and then some around the rest of the car. I have involved the dealership that i got it from about the issue and involved honda corporation. They brought in 2 managers of honda corporation to look at my car. And they said it was definitely in an accident and there's nothing they can do and to just pay for my car to be repainted myself. I said that it was too much money i can not afford that. Then they said " well just keep waxing it then". I am very upset and annoyed from this. So i wanna write this complaint to find out information if theres anything else i can do. It has been like this since i got the car.

The air deflector under the front of my car has fallen down 5 times over the past 5 years. It has been replaced once. This has happened during highway driving.i have had to have it zip tied multiple times because either the clips that are used to anchor it are defective, poorly designed, or there are not enough to withstand the forces of the wind.

Rear window 'exploded'.i was waiting to make a left turn, no one was behind me, nothing was touching the window, the inside termperatrue was cool, and the front windows were partially open. I heard a loud noise and sawabout 1/2 of the window was missing and the rest was crackeled into little pieces.photo taken immediately after window broke.

Driving south bound on ballplay rd. Madisonville, tn our side air bag curtains deployed at the same time. There was no impact causing them to deploy. Causing us to leave the road. With some damage to the bottom sides of the car.

After two trips to the honda dealer, water continues to accumulate on the floor behind the driver seat, whenever the car is driven through heavy rains. We now have another half quart of water on the floor behind the drivers set, and believe there is a serious defect in our 2015 honda fit (a six speed). This much water on the floor can lead to rust, mold, electrical, and mildew/ problems and we feel a need to report the problem we are having. Dealers tend to suggest that car owners are dopes who leave their rear windows open in the rain when this type of thing happens, but that is not the case. We have documentation of our results from the dealer and can provide reports from an independent mechanic if needed. The 2015 fit was redesigned and this may bean early indicator that many more people are going to have similar experiences.

A year ago the white paint on my 2015 honda fit started peeling on the top of door and roof. I took it to a local dealer he said had not hear anything from honda corp about it and would cost $1500. I could not find anything on line about what to do.

The splash guard/splash shield came loose under the front of my car and started dragging while i was driving down the highway.i pulled over and was able to remove it. The honda dealership says it is unusable and have ordered one to replace it. It will cost $232 for the part and i don't know how much to install it.

My honda dealership told me that my car could not be properly aligned without a shim which the service department could not get their hands on.they had tried several providers.they stated "this must be a recurring problem with this make/model car."this, after being told that i must replace two tires due to excessive wear.i had replaced all four tires @ 34,520 miles, and now at 58,867 i was needing to replace two tires again.they said that because of the toe, i was essentially dragging my rear tires causing excessive wear and tear.not to mention reducing gas mileage.this appears to be a manufacturing issue after looking on-line at whether or not other's are experiencing the same issue.please look into this.

For the last several months my 2015 honda fitwon'tstart all the time.sometimes ihave to push the starter button 5 times before it will start. I have replaced the key battery, had the car battery checked by honda dealer. Went on line and a lot of people have starter problems. Bought brand new end of 2915, 4 yr old car seems to soon to replace starter. I don't want to get stranded somewhere, especially at night.. Once car is turned off i always have the anxiety, fear..".will my car start when i'm ready to go?"

The start/off button turns the car off while it is being driven. The car should have to be in park to turn off the engine. Twice now i've accidentally turned my car off while driving by pressing the start/off button instead of the emergency flashers. Once the car turns off, it won't turn back on unless it's in park. Since i was only going 30 mph and was in the right lane, i was able to get the car off the road. In a tense situation, i'm afraid i'll hit the wrong button again when driving on the freeway at a high speed, which would be extremely dangerous.

On 7/27/2017 my car was parked in the driveway and had not been driven since 9pm on 7/26. It spontaneously combusted. When it was noticed there were only flames coming from under the hood. It had been in the shop on 7/20/2017 for a right front strut replacement. All upkeep had been taken care of, and no modifications have ever been made. The car only had 46,000 miles on it.i have

Fuel injectors failed at 104,000 causing a $2k+ repair.routine maintenance was followed per the manual.the push button start also failed at the same time. I believe these issues speak to the poor build quality at the plant in mexico and represent a small portion of the issues inherent in this vehicle.

Notified of recall to replace "rear grab rail brackets may interfere with the side curtain airbag deployment".on phone, dealer said the parts were in stock. I drove 50 miles to have the work done.dealer then said parts were not in stock.dealer is straub honda

My car is a 2015... Less than 46,000 miles and car willl not turn on. After reading several threads, it appears that honda 2015 has faulty staters. Also, the display showing proper gas levels go in and out. This is a safety issue. Many people have complained. Please force a recall.

When i turn on my car, the odometer no longer displays information. Every once in a while, it will flicker and glitch and sometimes come back. However, most of the time, i am unable to see my fuel gauge, which is a safety issue. This started back in november 2019, and it now happens every day.

I purchased my 2015 honda fit ex-l 9 months ago and the splash shield over the lower engine had to be zip tied by the dealership twice. It ended up detaching a third time and was broken and dragging enough to start smelling like burnt rubber while on the highway. This is a safety hazard and this part should have been recalled.

Cpsc: the drivers side mirror on my 2015 honda fit has melted i have read that it could be caused from the high energy windows that were just installed on all the townhouses in the neighborhood. Updated 04/21/2017

The skid plate broke. I took it in the said i hit something like a pot hole, but i hit nothing. I took a look under their and it was only being held up by 4 screws. Their was no treading torn holes. It was not properly installed. I tried to get them to replace it for free, due to the manufactures fault, they wouldn't. I took it off myself, because it was hanging to one said. If they would put it on correctly it wouldn't have came lose. They tried to get tough with me at dealer ship and talk down to me. So much for the helpful honda dealers at valley hi honda.

I drove the car home from work (app. 15 miles) and parked it under our carport. Nothing was wrong with the rear window because i would have noticed driving home. My wife came home and didn't notice anything wrong either and she would have seen it if it was. I changed out of my work uniform and went outside and put it in the rear floorboard. When i shut the door, the hatchback window shattered in a million pieces. I don't know if it got too hot because it's in full sun all day or what. I do know that i feel a car's glass should never shatter the way that one did. If i was driving, it would've been extremely dangerous with all those tiny bits of glass flying everywhere. Obviously safety glass isn't required all over a vehicle but maybe that should change. I love the car overall but the ease with which this glass shattered really bothers me as i intended to give the car to my daughter in two years. Now i'm apprehensive about doing that. I have photos i can send if they're needed. My dealer hasn't responded back to me but it's only been two days. I am going to contact honda north america though. Again, this glass shattered into pieces as tiny as possible. There's not a one square inch piece that's left of the entire hatchback glass.

For an unknown reason, around october 2017 my starter began making grinding noises; it sounds like it would when you try to start a vehicle that is already started.it happens intermittently and without warning or explanation

A few months after purchasing the vehicle i was driving on the highway and heard a loud sound like something was dragging under the car. I pulled over and found that the plastic undercarriage had come loose and was dragging on the highway. I took it to the dealership and they insisted that i had hit something, which i had not. They put new screws in but they did not hold and it came loose again. I never hit anything and there was no reason that it should have come loose. I ended up having to take it off when it came loose after an oil change at the dealership and they refused to repair it.

Is there a tsb concerning the front bumper cover on this vehicle?

White orchid pearl paint is severely peeling on roof and doors. Vehicle was stationary.

Engine splash shield keeps coming off (the shield under the car). It has already come off twice in the past year. When driving the highway at 40+ speeds the car will create a disturbing flapping sound. The clips that hold the shield keep breaking off. My car is only 23k old.

The lower engine cover (front) continues to fall off due to cheap plastic screws. Even when the guard is hit by something very small it is prone to fall off, which is not covered under honda's warranty. This piece of plastic can only be purchased as a kit for almost $400 (sometimes $500 in other states). This is absolutely ridiculous seeing as though i purchased the car because of its low price point. The faulty screws and shield are necessary for the engine's safety. It's very unprofessional and greedy for honda to suggest i pay this amount for such a cheap product that is bound to fall off again.

My car accceilerated twice without the driver touching the accelerator.it happened while parking as the car was creeping forwardin the parking space and suddenly sped up.i had to stamp on the brake to stop it. I do not know why, but i found out that cars of the same make , model and year in japan were recalled for spontaneous acceleration and it was a software problem. I have not had an accident, but it is clearly dangerous and could result in accident or injury if the car hit and object or a person. If i had not been able to stop the car, i would have hitthe cement wall of a building.

The speedometer and gas register either goes blank or shows gibberish several times a day.you cannot deduce speed limit on highway or see how much gas you have.

Unintended and sudden acceleration.

I did not realize it when i test drove this vehicle, but this car has major blind spots out the driver's window due to design.on a winding road, i can loose sight of an oncoming car based on the angle of my curve.there are also times traffic coming at the driver perpendicularly is also not visible because of the car's driver side window and front end design.this is a major safety issue with this car.if i had realized it in advance, i would not have purchased this make of fit.

I have had 2 flat tires in the past month all showing a significant gouging tear on the inner facing side of each tire. The first one was replaced by aaa as a defective tire, but after the 2nd flat, my aaa repair guy mentioned it could likely be a manufacturing defect with some part of the car or axle scraping against the inner side of the tire. The first one was my front right and the current flat tire i'm dealing with is the rear left tire. There's nothing obviously visible as the cause of what could be scraping against the wheels. As the picture below shows, the scrape is in a clear circular line which seems to indicate a stationary part on the car scraping or cutting into the inner side of the wheel.
