Takata recall taking way too long !i do highway driving 100 miles a day & need it fixednow or arrange a loner free of charge asap! i hear a squeeking noise coning from the front of the vehicle at the speed limit of 65 - 70 mph !

Takata recall - received notice from honda in march 2016.when i tried to set appointment told late summer.it is now 8 months and still no appointment.the odds of my having a major accident with the airbag gets greater each day goes by.this could make for one bad law suit!!!!!need your help on this matter now.enoughsaid .thank your. Kennedy

****revision to previous complaint**** i was recently involved in a frontal collision in this vehicle. I am fine, however, the seat belt did not hold me to the seat properly. As the impact happened the seat belt locked and held me midway, from the back of the seat to the steering wheel, and did not 'pretension' me properly (pull me back and hold me sung to the seat. Because of this, while the seat belt was holding me midway, the air bag came out at full force and the center of the airbag impacted me in the middle of my chest, more specifically my sternum. If i was going to come into contact with the airbag it should have been after the airbag was fully deployed, instead, the airbag deployed and impacted my chest.

Takatarecall, i was involved in two driver sidecollisions, the first happened july thesecondseptember 13th this year.my airbags did not deploy in either instancesboth direct impact with driver's side. The firstincident my car had a powersurge forward over a curb into my property demage to the car and house the airbags did not deploy. Police asked if my airbags deployed i was justgratefulthey hadn't. On september 13 2017 my car wasstruck by semi trailerwhichpushed car into the intersection- demage from my gas tank to head light on driver's side i was stopped at red light light turned green i tried to get away from the semi but the cab of thesemismashed into the driver's sidewhy didn't in both incidents the airbags deploy i was hit by a semi? did correct the recall are there airbags?

Note: this is the second frontal based crash listed on this site for a honda 2011 crz perhaps the driver that was involved with the previous crash did not realize the brakes failed.at approximately 17:17 i noticed the vehicle in front of me was stopped in traffic i tried to apply my brakes and pushed the brakes and the car did not slow for at least 1 1/2 car length. In a panic i tried to press harder with but nothing happened the car never slowed. The crashed into the vehicle in front of me with the full force of forty-forty five mph and totally collapsed the engine into the drivers cab both of my knees were bleeding and swollen from the impact of the engine being in the drivers compartment. The police officer told someone that helped me out of the car it looked like i never pushed the brake pedal. How can i honda charge a premium with results like this and expect people to come back. It is worse feeling in the world to realize you do not have any brakes and your safety equipment you paid a premium for fails to work. Honda has lost a customer for life and i should have listened to the accord owners complaining about the recurring brake repairs.the air bag did not deploy until the vehicle was fully stopped and i hit my head on the drivers side window. Consumer reports was right this car doesn't deserve to be rated!

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2011 honda cr-z. The contact received a recall notification for nhtsa campaign number: 16v061000 (air bags); however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Takata recalli received a letter from honda regarding this recall in march of 2016. I consider myself a reasonable man but its been more than 5 months and still no parts available. The letter states the parts will be available in the summer of 2016. My dealer has been less than helpful. Honda corporate has been even less helpful. I am making payments and paying insurance on a vehicle i can't drive. Now the vehicle won't start without a jump and the battery doesn't hold a charge. This recall is a huge financial drain on my family, not to mention an inconvenience and no one seems to care. I have a case number from honda. It took 44 days to finally get [xxx] my case manager on the phone and she hung up on me. It would be nice if honda would compensate the owners of its vehicles for this. But that seems highly unlikely based on how i have been treated thus far. If you can do anything to expedite the completion of the recall i would sincerely appreciate it.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Takata recall. The letter from honda came early in the year. It said contact the dealer. Dealers say there is nothing they can do. Need a replacement car until they can fix my car. Call dealers many times.

I purchased my car from fletcher jones 1100 n clark st, chicago, il 60610 in mid january 2016. The recall was made in early february 2016. I was never notified by fletcher jones nor honda in no way or form. I found out by fletcher jones in june 2016 when i went in for an oil change. If i would have gone for an oil change elsewhere i would have never known. They said they had yet to receive the part and they would notify me when it arrived. I called fletcher jones today 8/10/16 and they still have not received the part. I am concerned and upset with the lack of communication and the delay in obtaining the part.

The contact was unable to determine when the vehicle would be repaired. The manufacturer was unable to provide a specific time frame that the parts would become available. The contact had not experienced a failure. Vin tool confirms parts not available.

Takitarecall i took my 2011 honda to walser honda in burnsville mn. For the recall i was told that the car was on a salvage title and the air bag had deployed so that they would make no repair to my car they took some pictures and showed me the door

Takata recall have been waiting for my airbag inflator to come in since march 2nd. I have been in a rental for over four months. I have called gillman honda san antonio monthly for an update on it eta. It was first late may/early june, then it was late june, then it was summer, then it was "we don't know". The inflator has been ordered, but has yet to arrive after four months. I received the official recall letter in the mail in early june with an eta of summer. I'm tired of the rental and miss driving my car.

On 09/04/2018 my honda cr-z ima light came on, i took it to the honda dealership they said they never had an ima light come on without the check engine light be on. They took it for diagnostics, and came to the conclusion that my clutch sensor is bad and that is whats causing the ima light to be on. The person who i spoke to at honda said that they diagnose about forty cars a day for seven years and never ran into that issue. They said that i would be good driving it and would experience more problems in about a year if i don't fix the clutch sensor on 9/07/2018 my car had a light come on that said check fuel cap which i'm guessing my fuel sensor is out now, but honda is no help will not help me out claims the car is not under warranty when it has less than 100,000 miles on it.this can be a big safety issue due to the fact that if my ima battery fails on me my life can be in danger along with the others around me. Also for a company to claim they had never ran into these issues they do not show much interest in fixing it.

Door locks on driver and passenger side will not lock or unlock while using interior door lock button or key fob.parking lights will flash when key fob button is pressed.problem started with passenger door first then 2 weeks later driver door stopped. Dealership diagnosed the problem as failed lock actuators.

Check engine light came on when driving vehicle the motor started to sputter.when i took the car to the dealership they service manager stated that a rodent had eaten the wire that goes to the ambient temp. Sensor.per dealership this sensor control the ability for the motor to proper adjust fuel mixture based on temp.car only has 20018 miles and they state that the damage is not covered under warranty.when talking with honda rep he stated that the wires are soy based.

2011 cr-z passenger cars with automatic transmissions the engine stall while the brake pedal is not pressed, there is a possibility that the engine control unit (ecu) software may cause the electric motor of the hybrid system to move the vehicle unexpectedly in the opposite direction of the selected gear. Additionally the electric power steering is draining new 12v batteries with less than a 6 months use (see attachment). Vehicle movement caused by engine stall and lack of power steering could increase the risk of a crash or personal injury to the persons in the path of the moving vehicle.there has already been a recall on 2011 honda crz manual trans for the issue mentioned above.

The contact owns a 2011 honda cr-z. The contact stated that the vehicle would sporadically shutter and sway from side to side when the brakes were applied. The intensity of the shuttering would vary and caused the vehicle to stall. The contact stated that the vehicle was acting as if it were attempting to shift gears when the brakes were applied. The contact called the manufacturer and was awaiting a response. The vehicle had not been inspected or repaired. The current mileage was 2,157. The failure mileage was approximately 500.

The automatic air does not always turn on when the car is started.also, the rear hatch is always frozen shut in temperatures below 32 degress....

I have a 2011 honda crz hybrid.i have trouble with the headlights on low beams.the visibility is terrible. On a hilly, curvy road i can only see about 10-15 feet ahead.it appears that a daark shade is pulled 2/3s of the way down on the windshield. You can see the posts but not the sign on top of the post.the headlights are hid accordingto the information in my owners manual.i think this is unsafe. I have had 4 people dirive my car at night, and their reaction is the same.good lord, what is wrong with your headlights. I wrote a letter to hondacustomer service, and a lady called me back and said ther was nothing wrong with my headlights. I don't know how she knows, she hasn't driven my car.i just wantmy headlights fixed.

The contact owns a 2011 honda cr-z. While driving approximately 35 mph, the contact depressed the accelerator pedal and the vehicle jerked forward abnormally. Also, the contact stated that the vehicle would exhibit an unusual clunking noise when accelerating and was a constant occurrence.the vehicle was taken to the dealer where the technician was unable to diagnose the failure and the vehicle was not repaired. I entered i 40 w. From the entrance ramp at exit 150 in statesville n. C. And traveled approx. 23 miles to exit ramp 128 i 40 w. At clairmont n.c.i had the cruise control on and had actuated the econ. Button.as i exited the interstate i applied the brake but got no braking response.i applied the brake again but this time pushed the brake all the way to the floorboard, still no response.i tried this a third time and still had no brakes. The brake felt mushy as when the antilock system operates, but differently in that the break pedal went all the way to the floor board.as an emergency measure i was able to stop the car using the hand break.i noticed there was only about 300 feet to the stop sign at the top of the ramp so i decided to very slowly proceed to the stop sign and use the handbrake to stop the vehicle.at the stop sign the foot pedal began breaking the car once again.everything returned to normal.i drove the car on i40 e. Back to exit 150 and the foot pedal break operated normally.i tried to replicated the conditions when the brake failed, that is i drove at 70 mph with the cruise control on in the economy mode.at the exit 150 ramp the foot pedal brake operated normally and continued to operate normally on the 25th.as well as on the 26th. When i took the car to the dealership in statesville n.c.they listened, bled the brake line, replaced the break fluid, and test drove the car and could find no problem.the dealership reports they called honda headquarters and were informed there are no known brake issues with the 2011 honda crz.my concern is this incident might be repeated but with a more serious result.

Vehicle has periodically started exhibiting strange and dangerous issues with the electronic power steering (while stopped and at various speeds) and, of greater concern, when the computer is detecting issues it is not shutting down the eps system as it should but, instead, sporadically turns on and off even while in the middle of a turn.when this issue occurs it first starts by a momentary (or sometimes longer) flash of the eps indicator on the dash and there is a constant sound of relays clicking in the dash to the left of the instrument panel.this indicator light will randomly turn off and on with seemingly no reason and the steering becomes stiff, then light, and often will begin an assist in the middle of a turn which results in the vehicle veering deeper into the turn unless the operator responds quickly enough to pull it back to the correct position.these periodic issues can sometimes last 5 mins or can last an entire trip and occasionally the computer display will flash a message to check power steering but then usually immediately clear that message along with any errors.a mechanic was not able to reproduce the issue and was not able to locate any errors from the standard computer but did not have access to the proprietary honda protocols and a dealer wants $120 just to connect the car to the computer.additionally i asked if there was a way to disable the power steering completely so that the vehicle didn't over or under steer on me and the dealer said that this wasn't possible and that only the computer was able to disable the power steering if it detected a problem (which in my case it is only disabling momentarily which is creating an even greater hazard).my dealership seemed unconcerned with the safety hazard this creates and offered no reasonable path to investigate and repair.

I had just bought this car in september, and on the morning of wednesday november 26, 2014 it crashed.i was driving on the highway, i495-south.it was raining and i think the car hit a water puddle or sleet, and started fish tailing.i tried to get it back under control, and i did for a few seconds as it was trying to pull to the right.then it just suddenly took off to the left, very strange, almost like there was either a wheel/tire issue, transmission, electrical or steering wheel.. Whatever it was it seemed like it took over and just took off like a crazy horse to the left.i was lucky there were no cars to the left!the car just took off to the left as i held the wheel and couldn't get it under control, it drove through dividers into hov lanes and into concrete highway dividers.it was the scariest and most painful moment of my life, i have been physically and emotionally traumatized.emt, ambulance, firetrucks and police arrived, and they had to cut off the roof to get me out because of severe back pain i couldn't move, was dizzy and couldn't breath well.i was taken to trauma in er and was hospitalized for 3 days.i fractured my spine, and was out of work for 2 months.i had a surgery, kyphoplasty, been going through physical therapy and now chiropractor.i will never be the same athletic person i used to be, it ruined my life.i am filing this complaint because i know for a fact, as i was behind the wheel, i felt this car, it was not a safe car, it has issues.i noticed you have a recall for 2011 models, for similar issues, as it can cause crash and injury.the seats are not safe, the car is not safe.i advice everyone against the purchase of this vehicle. This was the first accident in my life!

In temperatures below 32 degrees, the rear hatch lock fails to open and freezes shut.

Door locks on driver and passenger side will not lock or unlock while using interior door lock button or key fob.parking lights will flash when key fob button is pressed.problem started with passenger door first then 2 weeks later driver door stopped. Dealership diagnosed the problem as failed lock actuators.

Driver door will no longer open from outside.problem started when vehicle was parked in direct sunlight, then got worse so that the door will no longer open from the outside no matter what.using passenger door now to get in, and it is now failing in direct sunlight, and i expect i will soon need to enter through the rear hatch.online search indicates this is a common failure on 2011 honda crz's.

Door knob on driviers side won't open and finally broke. Rust on inside of hatchback. Passengers side door is not opening like it should. Been having trouble since i purchased car. It is a defect.

Both door handles have malfunctioned and i have no way of entering the car!

Premature rear tire wear, cupping, scalloping. There is a technical service bulletin nhtsa reference #10053304 for this vehicle. However, the service department at pacific honda on convoy in san diego, ca looked at me like i had two heads when i suggested, during the warranty period, it was a problem with the vehicle. The tires were worn through to the tread wear indicators in some spots and had 60% of their original tread in others. However, the honda service representative told me it wasn't covered by honda and it would be virtually impossible to get the tire company to provide any repair or replacement under the separate tire warranty.

There is apparently a defective part in the door handle operation that does not stand up under heat. Our driver side door is not opening and the passenger is going quickly. Should we be involved in an accident and unable to open the doors ourselves. Rescue/emergency personell would not be able to get to us. Very unsafe. This is an ongoing issue for many honda owners according to our online research.
