My vehicle has been presenting problems with the air bag several times the air bag sensor is coming out.

I was involved in a frontal crash on the freeway and my airbag did not deploy. My car was totaled with extensive front end damage in which both doors could not open all the way due to structural damage. I am still awaiting the police report. My nose was bruised and had lacerations.

Takata recall does my honda have a takata air bag.

Pulled the car out of the parking lot and shifted the gear to drive.even before i pressed the gas pedal, the engine roared and the car sped out of control.the brake failed.fortunately was able to avoid other parked cars and the car came to a stop in a ditch at the edge of the parking lot.the car may have traveled about 100 yds before coming to stop.the airbag was deployed and the damage to the front of the car may be extensive.reporting this failure to the nhtsa in case there are other similar events happening with the 2016 honda cr-v model.

The contact owned a 2016 honda cr-v. While reversing at 10 mph, another vehicle crashed into the rear driver side of the contact's vehicle. The contact's vehicle flipped over on the passenger side without warning. The side air bags deployed and a police report was filed. The contact in the other vehicle sustained injuries to the knee that required medical attention. The vehicle was towed to a dealer and deemed destroyed. The vin was unknown. Yesterdaynovember 7,2019 i was driving and the passenger side airbags was came in off and on constantly, no one was in the passenger seat. I'm concern and worry as safety .my warranty just expired in may this year. What should i do?

Started the car in the parking lot. The engine was idling a bit rough.put the car in drive. Suddenly the engine roared and accelerated. Tried to apply the brake.itdid not work.fortunately did not hit any other cars in the parkinglot. Thecarjumped over the curb at the edge of theparking lot, went into a ditchand hit a tree. Came to a stop.theairbagwasactivated. The engine was still running at high rpm. Fortunately this malfunction happened in a parking lot and not on abusy city road !!!!!this bizarre incident points to potential malfunction of the computer controls.forensic investigationis needed to ruleout this possibility.

The contact owns a 2016 honda cr-v. The contact stated that while driving down a small mountain at 50 mph, the contact heard a loud bang as her air bag deployed without incident. Due to the air bag hitting the top of the contact's head, she veered off right shoulder of the road and scraped the bottom oil pan of vehicle. Despite the failure, the contact was able regain control of the vehicle and drive home. Her daughter was contacted and she was taken to the hospital where she was treated for the cut to the top of her head. A police report was filed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and an investigator was sent to yreka motors(1545 s main st, yreka, ca 96097) to inspect the vehicle. The inspector determined that the yard sensor was hit at a thirty degree angle with caused the air bags to deploy. The vehicle was repaired by the dealer. The failure mileage was 36,000.

Takata recall

Honda cr-v 2016 touring vehicle travelling at 55 miles/hour on a 57 north freeway with a driver & passenger started pulling to the right (out of carpool lane), uncontrollable and erratic behavior. Immediately both front airbags (driver side & passenger side) and driver side side-airbags got deployed (curtain airbags). The driver tried to control and steer the vehicle towards the left curb/divider to avoid getting into incoming traffic to stop the vehicle. The vehicle hit the divider and took a 180 degree turn and stopped.accident location: 57 north california, 1/2 mile from katella avenuevehicle condition: front both tires flattened, rear right tire flattened, front both airbags and driver side side-airbags deployed, vehicle front and side damaged

Takata recall my car contains defective airbags made by takata corporation and its affiliates takata.

Takata recall:i am putting in a claim for the car, honda cr-v 2016.the car was recalled for air bag defects.i got into a car accident and the airbag did not deploy.

Takata recall

Vehicle was stopped at a light, and received front crash from incoming vehicle. Air bags did not work, and seatbelt broke. Passenger received significant bodily injury

The contact owns a 2016 honda cr-v. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the passenger's side airbag warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to honda kingsport (2217 e stone dr, kingsport, tn 37660, (423) 888-0194) where it was diagnosed and determine that the passenger's side seat sensor was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vin was not under recall. The failure mileage was approximately 75,000.

Takata recall.although my car not on recall list. On sat 11th may, my vehicle hit a ditch and a tree head on and the airbag did not deploy. My car is being totalled from this collision for extensive damage. Speed was 60 mph prior to collision on i 95 in martin county fl.

Tamara recall...on may 26, 2019 we were traveling down from our mountain home in sequoia mountains above porterville. It was starting to snow at 4 pm. Going between 10 and15 mph, rounding a curve, in low gear the car lost traction went down a 200 foot embankment. Smashed head on more on the passenger side, into a large boulder the car flipped on its driver side and landed in a creek. The front airbags did not deploy, side airbags did however. My wife and i suffered injuries she suffered a fractured sternum, i suffered a lower fracture in my vertebrae. From the impact of the car i would have thought at least the driver side front airbag would have deployed, it did not, and if they had i'm not sure my wife would have suffered the injuries she did.

Takata recall. I hace problems. I notice the air bag no working.ligths are off all the time. I am a driver for uber.when im driving the light is off. Turn off.i dont know what happen in case of an accident.i am very worried. Please contact me.i prefer talk in spanish.

Did not deploy in accident 2016

The contact owned a 2016 honda cr-v. While the contact's vehicle was stopped at a traffic sign, it was struck on the driver's side front fender by another vehicle. The air bags failed to deploy. The vehicle was destroyed and towed to an independent mechanic. A police report was filed. The contact sustained a minor injury to the head, which did not require medical attention. The manufacturer and dealer were not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 12,136.

Rear backup camera failed after less than 5 years of very light use, i only have less than 9,000 miles in my vehicle. Backup camera is completely off, for example, wide angle is now displaying ground angle, normal angle is now out of alignment. I bought and replaced it with a brand new backup camera, but the problem persists that tells me that the problem is something else possibly related to the software if it wasn't hardware. This is potentially a safety hazard because i now have to turn my head to backup rather than using it together with my backup camera. I asked dealer to take a look, but they quoted me $605.00 for a potential fix, did not make a guarantee that the problem will be resolved. At first, the problem happen intermittently, but now seem to be permanent. I google about this problem on the internet, seem to happen to a lot of honda vehicles, but there was never a clear solution as to what caused it. Attached a photo, wide angle view went to the ground instead, even normal angel view is completely out of rack and out of alignment.

Ignition started making a zapping noise upon starting.i would then have to try to start again.one day it finally didn't start at all.they stated my battery was no good after approximately 28k miles.fast forward 7 months later and the ignition is making the same zapping noise yet again.after looking online, there are several other people having the same issue with this make and model

Electric power steering completely broken, car brought brand new, only 6k miles - owned 6 months. Car completely undrivable. Wires are coated in soy so rodents eat wires, honda admitted to this happening to many people but will not take fault.not safe to drive, can not turn wheel. Had to get car towed to dealership, they will not provide rental.

Ntsb: 2016 honda crv: consumer stated the car will stop while in drive, and it will also keep moving with the engine stopped without someone driving. *ssthe consumer stated he was able to bring the vehicle to a standstill on a slop., while the vehicle was still in drive, he was able to press the button to turn off the engine.the consumer stated in doing so, the vehicle could possibly roll away.

Inability to start car after being parked needing to be jump started.

The contact owns a 2016 honda cr-v. The contact stated that the vehicle was at stand still and when shifting gears from park, it stalled twice with an hour. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact called local dealer moon township honda located at 5802 university blvd, moon, pa 15108, (412) 269-4100, were made aware of the failure. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or been repaired as of yet. The manufacturer had not been informed of failure. The failure mileage was 15,000.

Oem battery failures. Car would not start. Stopped on city street. Safety issue. Failed at home too. Manufacturer defect.

On multiple occasions for the past year, this car has stalled when you press the gas pedal. You press the gas, the car "chugs," and either slows down and has to catch up to itself, or it completely shuts off. It happens pulling out of the driveway, at stop signs, and intersections. We've brought the car to the dealership multiple times, and they can't find the problem. It even stalled on their tech once, but they still couldn't fix it. They suggested replacing the battery, so we did, and nothing changed. This is incredibly dangerous, and nobody at the dealership or the corporate office did anything to address the issue. I believe this car should be recalled and off the road immediately.

The contact owned a 2016 honda cr-v. While driving 15 mph and making a left turn, the contact crashed into another vehicle. The air bags did not deploy. The contact stated that a spark was observed near the floorboard on the passenger side and a fire ignited. The fire department extinguished the fire. A police report was filed and there were no injuries. The vehicle was not diagnosed for the failure. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was destroyed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was awaiting a call back. The failure mileage was approximately 1,200.

Lock-out with key fob inside the car, car was not running, parked at work. The car basically 'locked' me out when i put my purse and keys into the car, opened the hood so i could fill the wiper fluid reservoir , closed the door to get wiper fluid out of the back and the car locked the doors. According to the locksmith that opened my car, this is a well known problem - and not just with honda cars. Thank goodness i was still at work and in a safe location.

Car frequently won't start. Dash light comes on and engine cranks, but doesn't fully turn over. After driving 60 miles, was left parked for 3 hours and this occurred. Has also happened after shorter trips. No lights or accessories were left on.

Dashboard low tire pressurelights up for no reason, service dept..writer at barber honda in bakersfield, ca toldme that's it's a major problem with many other honda models and have told the honda headquarters but they ignoreit and don't do anything about this problem. I hired a lemon law attorney about this issue now.

After sitting in vehicle with radio playing on accessory for 20 minutes the vehicle would not start requiring a boost from aaa.after returning home and in my driveway i checked the voltage on the battery with the engine off and it read 12.31. I started the vehicle and the voltage read 13.22 after a few seconds it went down to 12.25 indicating it wasn't charging. I turned on the headlights and the reading jumped to 14.11 and remained there about until i turned the lights off whereupon it returned to the lower part of 12 volts.

Electronic trunk system/hatch back door switch does not operate in cold conditions . Honda dealer is required to open hatch back to gain entry. There is no way for a consumer to manually open hatch back door. Expensive repair of $300.00+.part number 74810-t0a-a02 .

On 6/18/17 pulling into parking spot doing 3 mph car accelerated jumped over concrete sidewalk and hit a brick wall. No brakes worked car struck brick wall and would not shut off. No air bags were deployedbut sensor stated air bags deployed after vehicle was restarted. Continuousincrease in rpms while driving the vehicle. Previously car was taken to the dealer who stated car was fine and that i had to get used to the transmission. Vehicle also had surging when going downwards on a hill. Vehicle loaded with every safety feature but none worked!!

For the 4th time a dead battery. System show all good, battery, alternator.jump the car and wife mad as can be. I don't need this from a honda car.

I got into my parked car monday morning may 10, 2021 to find a large burn hole in the passenger seat and back of seat near the belt buckle. I took it to my daytona beach honda dealership where they determined an electrical failure in the heated seats caused the fire. The car is one year out of warranty and approx cost to repair is 4500.00.

Rear trunk / hatch will not open when temperatures are below freezing. Has occurred many times. Dealer duplicated the issue and replaced the switch stating that they verified communication was lost to the switch when cold. The issue still occurs even after replacement, but dealer states all they can do is replace again because no recall has been issued by honda.

When temperatures get cold, the button to open the rear hatch will not work. This causes the owner to not be able to access the trunk

In less than 3 years of my 2016 honda crv ownership, i have gone through three batteries. As such the car is very well maintained, driven about 25k miles and mostly on highways. Crv would not start and required jump start, to say needed twice in the last week itself. Luckily since i was still under honda warranty, i did not pay for the batteries but thinking about getting less than a year on honda 's original battery is insane. Something must be seriously wrong with this make/model of the vehicle.

2016 honda cr-v.consumer writes in regards to vehicle transmission hesitates, fail to accelerate and cut off.dealership stated nothing wrong with the vehicle/

This is an intermittent problem. The electric driver seat adjusts on its own--this vehicle does not have 1 or2 position memory option. Several times when the car has been driven and parked (such as at a store, or overnight in the driveway) when returning to the vehicle the seat is in a different position, having moved itself completely forward.this has happened when the car is not running and is not in accessory mode.yesterday while the car was running, but not yet moving, the seat adjusted itself completely forward, pinning my husband to the steering wheel. The pressure was so great that he could not breathe. It was extremely difficult for him to reach the seat adjustment button to free himself. This could have been a fatal incident if no one was nearby to assist.this is certainly a safety issue!! there were no warning lamps or messages displayed at any time indicating a problem of any kind.the vehicle has not yet been checked for this specific issue, however it had been through a routine service and dealer safety inspection one week prior to the incident.the dealer is unable to service the vehicle until 7/13/2021. I have an appointment scheduled for that day.

Upon entering and attempting to start the suv, after closing the door and buckling the entire system will not start intermittently. Stranding the passengers and requiring a boost from another vehicle or tow truck. The lights come on when you attempt to start the vehicle but the engine only clicks and failes to start. A certified mechanic has investigate the alternator, and battery, both were functioning correctly. There have been numerous complaints about this same issue.

Rodents chewed through the wiring for the electric power steering causing it to fail. Fortunately this happened in the parking lot at the appartment and was able to be manuvered into a safe parking space.

For the 3rd time in a year my car battery was drained after parked in the garage for the weekend.very frustrating when you have a new vehicle that is not dependable. I took it to the honda dealership and they tested the battery and said it was fine. After a little research i see that honda has been aware of this problem for years, i guess more people need to file a complaint before they are forced to offer a recall and fix the problem.i will not buy another honda!

The car will not start. It blinks 'accessory mode' when you try to start it and you cannot get the car out of it without having someone jump the car battery.this has now left my wife stranded two times and both times we had to find someone to jump her.

The ambient temperature has an effect on the switch that opens the rear hatch on the car. If the temperature is in the 30's it will not open until the cars heater warms the interior of the car sufficiently.this is an electric switch that may be depressed on either side. Pressure on the switch is not a factor. I have held the switch for 30 to 60 seconds on a cold morning with no results. This happens when the car has been parked for several hours even in a garage. Temperature seems to be the only factor. There is no other way to release the hatch latch other than the pressure switch on the rear gate. This has been a constant problem since the car was new and continues to date.i have seen similar complaints on blogs from crv owners with no solution from dealers.

Tire pressure sensor keeps going/staying on even though tires are properly inflated. Dealership won't cover cost to find problem and repair it.it is a known defect reported by many users.

Hi everyone, i had a few typo's.1). The electoral didn't pass and american honda wouldn't help.thanks

The rear trunk release switch does not work once the outside temperature falls below about 40 degrees fahrenheit.and there is no inside trunk release so the trunk cannot be accessed for about 3-4 months of the year due to cold weather.

The contact owns a 2016 honda cr-v. While driving 30 mph, the engine shut off and all the warning indicators illuminated on the instrument panel. In addition, the power steering and brakes failed to operate. The vehicle was coasted to a stop on the side of the road and towed to community honda (8340 w 159th st, orland park, il 60462, (708) 364-2600). The dealer diagnosed that the water pump, gasket, and alternator belt needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and provided a case number. The failure mileage was 41,000.

The headlights turn on randomly and off while driving in full sunlight.the lights have come on without input while the car is parked and the ignition is off.american honda has authorized and replaced both the wiring harness and the fuse box in an attempt to fix this issue.they have refused to do further work on this vehicle and the problem still exists.once the battery was completely dead in the morning when i tried to use it.it was driven the night before.the lights have turned themselves on with no input from the key fob or the driver when the car is parked. Multiple people have witnessed the car doing this.i have many mp4 files documenting the headlights coming on and going off at random while driving.under the description of "when did this happen" i put the reported date to the dealership.it happens most every time that i drive the car for any extended period over a few miles.

Vehicle was sitting idle at a stop light, after being driven for approximately 15 minutes at speeds ranging from 25-50mph.the instrument panel flashed, then went dark, though the vehicle was still running with no other issues immediately noted.driver pulled into a parking lot about 300' away, put the vehicle into park, and upon exiting saw fire coming from the front of the engine compartment.the fire department responded, but the vehicle was fully involved by the time they arrived on scene 7 minutes later.

Vehicle was driven to a restaurant, placed in park and turned off. It was turned onto accessory mode with the only radio playing. Within 10 minutes of the vehicle being in accessory mode, the touch screen turned black and the radio went silent. The dome lights came on when multiple attempts were made to turn accessory mode back on, but the touch screen and radio would not turn on. Attempts were made to start the vehicles engine, but were unsuccessful. The car was then jump started successfully. Several days later, the vehicle was taken to the dealership for testing. The battery was tested (4 year old original batter) and still had substantial life remaining. No other testing was completed.

The back hatch will not open especially when it is cold out

The ac system has suddenly stopped working. Going into the hot summer months the ac system occasionally blows cold air but quickly switches to hot air when driving for extended periods (over 10 minutes). This is not only a huge inconvenience in 80+ degree weather, but also a safety concern with excessive heat circulating in the car in the hot summer months. I have tried to remedy the problem by checking freon compressor and condenser but nothing gives. This seems to be a major issue on 2016 manufacturing for civics and crv's.

On 02/12/2016 i was pulling out of my garage and everything was fine at that moment, them i went to turn my 2016 crv it was only going about 1 1/2 miles per hour, but the crv would not stop, the car only had 3,924 mile too.so i hit my neighbors garage door and side of her home and the car stop after it went over her foundation of her home.i looked down and saw that i was pressing as hard as i could on the brake but it didn't work.this all took about 20 seconds, to fast.i had the brakes check which mechanically pass all test 100%.but on the electoral did pass.2 code came up. 1). U300616 - power source failure for ecu (low voltage) for the anti-lock brake and the same code for tire pressure.so it not the mechanic of the crv it's the ecu box the box which everything goes thru.so it's electrical not mechanical.and you never know when it will happen again.the 2016 crv should be recalled on the ecu box.i never will drive the crv again.you could really kill someone.the national highway traffic safety administration should look deep into this and have a recall.i did contact american honda corporation and they did research it, but i was going on that it was mechanical not electrical.american honda would help.something needs to be done, so i hope the nhtsa looks into this.

The car operates on a keyless ignition, and uses push button start. The issue is, once the car is running, it will stay running without the computer fab key in the car. This is a safety hazard, i can leave the door open and walk out of the car with the key in hand and it stays running, a child or someone can get in the car and shift the gear lever causing serious injury. Also there was no warning when i left the car with the computer key in my pocket and no flashing of lights or blinkingor horn noise. This is a violation of the nhtsa laws that no vehicle should be running once the key has left the car. Well this vehicle continues to run without the key in the car, this is very dangerous. The vehicle should shut off after the key has left the car. This push button start is cheap and can cause serious injury. The car should shutoff without the key in the car. I left the car with the door open and key in my pocket, the car failed to shut off because the push button has to be pressed to shut off. The car is suppose to shut off without the key in the car per nhtsa rules and regulations

While driving on the interstate, the steering wheel and brake pedal both locked up, so i was unable to control the car in any way. After the vehicle drifted across several lanes, it hydroplaned, spinning several times. At no point did any of the vehicle's many automated stability features activate, including abs. Had i collided with another vehicle i likely would not have survived. I was lucky instead to wreck in a ditch, at which point the vehicle returned control of the wheel and brakes, but still the abs did not seem to activate. Further, the side airbags deployed a second or two late, after the car was already uprighting from having rolled on its side.i suspect this scenario might be explained by a defect in how the software responds to sensor readings of slick road conditions.

On 4/7/17 & 1/8/18 multiple warning lights appeared on dashboard - brake system; some features might not function.vehicle moving at highway speeds in snowy weather. Told by dealer will occur when slushy outside. Doesn't seem reasonable way to drive in snowy weather. On 1/9 /18 camera for right turn signal stuck while driving on highway. Told by dealer just an glitch

Performed normal and regular maintenance, oil use light is at 30 percent, 120k miles, when coming to a hard stop check oil light comes on. Checked oil level, low, smell of fuel on dip stick.

Fortunately this malfunction happened in a parking lot and not on abusy city road !!!!!this bizarre incident points to potential malfunction of the computer controls.forensic investigationis needed to ruleout this possibility.

When sitting at a red light in drive/idle with brake engaged, the car vibrates severely. This was known defect on their 2015 model crv's as well. Dealer says no fix available because honda north america has not acknowledged the problem. I have seen multiple similar complaints from other 2016 honda crv owners all over the internet.

The contact owns a 2016 honda cr-v. While the contact was performing a routine oil check, he found fuel mixed in the oil. The vehicle was taken to larry h. Miller honda murray (5808 state st, murray, ut 84107, (801) 590-0572) to be diagnosed, but no failure was found. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 50,000.

I have returned to the dealer twice because i have seen an increase in my oil level and a gasoline smell on the dipstick.twice the dealer changed my oil and filter--at no charge--but no fix.there may be significant safety issues if the diluted oil fails to perform properly and the engine seizes.

Vehicle stalls when driving, power steering, tire pressure, and check engine light all come on, but when mechanic checks thereā€™s no codes popping up. Then vehicle stalls again.

Excessive vibration at idle when the car is in drive and car gets to around 600 rpms after vehicle is warm.you can increase idle speed and vibration is not felt.very annoying for a relatively new vehicle.don't agree this should be a normal idle vibration condition.first noticed this condition in january 2019 and asked dealer to check out this issue.at the time my car had 30,377 miles.since then this issue is worse.honda should have a fix for this issue.

There is a distinct gasoline smell in the cabin while driving and also sometimes while parked in the garage.the first time we noticed the odor was in november of 2016.we have noticed it at least a dozen times since then. After taking it to a honda dealership, we have been told that honda is aware of the problem, but there is no fix.

The contact owns a 2016 honda cr-v. The contact stated that while approaching a stop sign, the brake pedal was depressed however, the rpm revved up and the vehicle independently accelerated. The contact turned off and then restarted to the vehicle and drove to his destination. The contact stated that the failure was experienced twice. The vehicle was taken to tony honda hilo (124 wiwoole st, hilo, hi 96720, (808) 961-5505), however, the mechanic was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 13,500.

While braking car accelarated and ended with hitting a tree.. Extensive damage was done to front end. Had to be towed and estimate for damages well over $7000. All i have is a quick pic with my phone so i can tx to you if you need..

I bought a honda crv 2016 and has 35,0000 miles on it. However, there is a sudden shake as soon as you put the vehicle to drive.in other words, the rpm drops on drive but increases in park. The car is fairly new and it should not do this. Also, my car has never been in an accident. This becomes a cause of concern everyime i am at a traffic light, even my seat and my side mirrors tends to shakealso, 2015 crv were recalled because of this issue.

The contact owns a 2016 honda cr-v. While turning onto a busy street, the vehicle would not accelerate with the speed of the traffic. The failure occurred frequently. Hendrick honda (8901 south blvd, charlotte, nc 28273, (704) 552-2090) stated that the failure was caused by a throttle position sensor failure. An independent mechanic also inspected the vehicle and stated that the manufacturer was aware of the failure. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 43,000.

Engine vibration at idle and engine noise when starting in the cold. When hot, whining noise inside by timing chain area. Sent 5 times for repair at paragonhonda and the situation was never fixed and every time sent, they keep the carin the dealer for one week and an extra week in hillside honda. My car has 23,700 miles and have all services done at paragon honda and at hillside honda and the noises continue. I contacted american honda and the situation is never resolved yet they know about the issue.

Noxious fuel/ oil fumes in cabin causing headaches and lightheadedness. Also heater will not blow hot air. Honda refuses to acknowledge problem. Instead blaming it on short range driving and cold weather environment. Honda america insists that fuel in gas is normal despite evidence to the contrary. According to honda, this (our crv) was the first time they had a complaint. Please please please investigate and issue a recall. We have resorted to driving our 2003 model vehicle and parking this newer crv which only has 12000 miles but has been to dealer for these concerns 4 different times for fumes and 2 times for heater.

Gasoline smell in cab. We have had a strong gasoline odor the last few months in the cab of our 2016 honda cr-v. The honda dealer has not heard of this happening but there are quite a few class action lawsuits against honda for this same issue. Honda, please figure this out so we don't die!http://www.crvownersclub.com/forums/98-2012-2016-official-specs-features-etc-gen-4/110761-2016-honda-crv-gas-smell-fills-cabin-very-strong.htmlhttps://topclassactions.com/lawsuit-settlements/lawsuit-news/343631-honda-class-action-filed-unfixed-cr-v-gas-odor-problem/

When crv is stationary and idles, the cabin fills with gasoline smell and is nauseating and gives my wife headaches. It has been an issue since we bought new in december 2016 and the honda dealer said they would look into it and nothing has been done to fix the problem.we have young kids and are concerned for there health and safety.from reading on-line this issue seams to be a common problem with the crv.can you guys and gals help? thanks

The contact owns a 2016 honda cr-v. The contact stated that the water pump seized causing the fan belt around the metal to get hot and fractured, smoke and flames started to come from the engine. The fire was extinguished by the contact. The vehicle was towed to the contacts residence. The contact later called honda cars of rock hill dealer, (located at 686 galleria blvd, rock hill, sc 29730, (803) 366-8161) and wasadvised to bring the vehicle in. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer and was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 38,000.

I consistently experience severe vibration felt in both front seats when the car idles. This occurs when the rpm is about 750 or less. It occurs any time i come to a stop at a traffic light or stop sign.

The cabin is filling with engine/fuel fumes.i purchased 11/2016 and began having debilitating headaches, nausea and chest pains off and on in 06/2017.i have incurred a lot of expense going to neurologists, cardiologists, opthamologists to try and diagnose the source of the problems.i was finally told it was migraines.i have never believed this, and think they just settled on that because all of the mri's and ct scans came up clean or inconclusive.and they couldn't come up with anything else.2 days ago on my way to work i was overcome by a wierd smell and suddenly felt very ill.i made it to work and started looking for any other reports of problems.its been years of misery that had a sudden onset and drastically affected my quality of life.i can't fly or go for a long care ride because of the headaches.

As other owners have reported, when the car is in drive, idli ng (at stops), the whole body/engine/transmission are vibrating really hard. Symptoms identical to technical service bulletin (tsb) 15-046, driving mode 1: the vehicle is stopped, but in gear.

Smell of fuel in cabin and stalling when in reverse

Hesitation when trying to accelerate. Happens anytime- step on the gas and it takes a few seconds before the acceleration starts. Happens when starting out at a traffic light or when you first start accelerating after slowing down or at a stop.

Engine suddenly overheated and stopped running. Car is 4 months old with 1,600 miles on odometer. No advance warning. Had car towed to dealer. Ourisman honda bethesda md diagnosed as pinhole in radiator hose. No cause provided. On downtown washington dc street but could have been on high-speed highway.

The contact called on behalf of his wife who owns a 2016 honda cr-v. The contact stated that while stopped with the brake pedal depressed, with the vehicle idling, the vehicle vibrated abnormally. The contact stated that the issue was evident since the vehicle was first purchased. The vehicle was taken to culver city honda located at 9055 w washington blvd, culver city, ca 90232, where it was determined that the vehicle operated as intended. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 22,000.

Vibration at idle in gear.i found the vibration on the second day i got the car with only about 100 miles on it. It vibrates at idle in gear. It only happens when the car is at 600-700 rpm. When i turn on the heater to max so it goes to 800 rpm, the vibration stops. But once the heater is off and it drops back to 600-700 rpm, the vibration comes back. Very disappointed since honda just claimed that they fixed this problem. Apparently not true.

I purchased honda crv in september 2016, the engine fault code p0741 today, i have been to diamond honda for repair today, i checked the warranty plan: powertrain limited warranty, your powertrain is covered for 5 years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first.i am still under warranty.vin: [xxx]vehicle mileage: 20,000description: engine failure.i have already left my car to 17525 gale ave, city of industry, ca 91748.the engine is lighting up.only drove 20000 mile, why lighting up? i request to waive all of repair the engine fee. I purchased a honda crv in september 2016.the transmission /gearbox has repeatedly failed.1. I drived my crv at 8/18/2018,it was the case at that time, the transmission suddenly jumped to the "n-gear" position during forward movement, and then the car suddenly stopped due to inertia during the forward process , and then the oil pan cracked. So i i told this to the person who picked up the car in diamond honda, but the person who picked up the car at that time said that it was impossible for the gearbox to suddenly jump into gear. So i have to pay the repair fee $469.89.2.the engine fault code p0741 at 5/23/2020, i have been to diamond honda for repair 5/23/2020.the engine is lighting up.only drived 20000 mile, why lighting up?diamond honda confirmed the transmission hasdefected. So they changed aremanufactured transmission to me at 6/2/2020.a remanufactured or refurbished product is one which is not new but has been tested, often repackaged and sold with a "remanufactured" or "refurbished" label. A remanufactured or refurbished product may not look new, but it will show only limited wear and it should perform as new. These devices might have been opened and returned, or they could be demo models, trade-ins or items returned at the end of a lease period.3. I picked up my crv on 6/2/2020. But it did not repair and could not work sincediamond honda changed aremanufacturedtransmission, not a newtransmission.when i drive, i can't accelerate smoothly, and every time i need to increase the throttle for a long time to speed up. And when driving, there will be a serious sense of frustration, the body will involuntarily lean forward and backward with the speed of the vehicle.1.i request to change a new entire transmission2. Refund the repair fee $469.89 to me.3.i request to extend the engine warranty to 6 years.

Car vibrates/shakes when sitting still in idle

My feet get tangled between the brake and gas. I had unintended acceleration due to this problem.the car idle is set at 5mph once you take your foot off the brake the car assumes you are going forward and does seek to go 5 mph no matter your intentions. The brake and the gas are only 2.5 inches apart. When trying to brake my foot was pinned under the brake pedal and causing the car to go 5 miles per hour. I have avoided any number of untended crashes due to this problem.

I am concerned about the smell of gasoline in the engine's oil.when checking the oil level, the smell is strong.i am concerned about fire safety and engine wear.

Hesitation when trying to accelerate.happens anytime- step on the gas and it takes a few seconds before the acceleration starts.

Excessive oil(no oil leak) engine oil disappeared 2 quarts after only 3000 miles from last oil change. No towing, racing, mountains, etc. Contacted honda, they say according to honda policy only honda vehicles that consumpt 1 qtr oil per 1000 mile are consider abnormal. Since my cr-v consumpt about 1 qtr per 1500 mile, honda say it is normal and will not honoring their warranty.

Oil issue..there seems to be a recall on honda vehicles in china due to gasoline flowing into the oil..my son was checking the oil and it smells like gas...i hope this does not case a fire hazard as my oil now has become gasoline. Yet no recall in america why?

When stopped (for instance, at a traffic light, or at a stop sign) and idling with foot on the brake, the car begins to shudder. It is so strong, it hurts. Even the children in the back seat noticed it. If i shift to neutral while waiting for the light to change, it mostly stops shuddering. What is the fix? this is a new car.this is almost all the time !! it is an ongoing condition.

2016 honda crvvibration at 50 and 70 mph speeds and shakes even on a smooth roadway.

Honda crv e-xl bought in 2016 from coral springs honda, fl and always maintained at honda dealership died on freeway on 08/06/2021 in approximately 5 years. When towed in nearest firestone they routed to honda as they suspect the coolant has breached into 4 cylinders. Honda dealership (first texas honda austin ) is quoting around $10000 for a new engine replacement for 3 - 4 grand for an older engine of similar miles. My question is does honda engines typically dies at 50k mile marks. I trusted honda to last for 200k plus. Does honda need to instrospect the engines manufactured for 2016 crvs. What went wrong to this engine does it requires honda to recall 2016 honda crv as i would have met an accident due to my car dying all of sudden on a freeway. The car started giving fumes from ac vent and all the warning light flashed on the dashboard. Please please help me getting my car fixed as i cannot afford that much of money.honda case number: 12418365.

My honda crv several times randomly after right turn, resists / hesitates to accelerate.pretty much looses complete acceleration even if i press accelerator.but it picks up after few seconds. Couple of times i had been in close situation as after i make right turn since it doesn't pickup speed, the traffic came close to my vehicle.i took to honda dealer 2 times so far and they said since this cannot be reproduced at will, they cannot do any thing.but this is a very dangerous issue.

I own a 2016 honda cr v with the 2.4l earth dreams engine.. I took a long trip and do some city driving however checked the oil level after about 500 miles of mixed ciry and highway and the oil level was way over the full mark and smells like gasoline. The car has 83,500 miles on it and this is quite concerning to me...

The engine started making a knocking sound in q1 of 2020. A tech stated that the sound happens because of the low oil level in the engine.i had noticed the knocking sound especially when driving up or down at an angle and also on turns.the dealership performed several oil consumption tests and the knocking persisted.in q3 of 2020, the dealership replaced the vtec thinking this would be the fix.then in january 2021, when the oil indicator was at 35%, the knocking began again.the dealership opened up the engine and found that the spark plugs, pistons and piston rings are all fouled, and that oil has seeped into these engine parts.honda corporate has offered to pay for a portion but not all of the repair cost which is $5400. They have not offered to extend the warranty to 8 years and 125,000 miles which is what was provided to cars in the offer for 2010-2011 crvs and 2011 accords were given by honda according to a may 15, 2015 article for this same defect.class action lawsuit - similarly a class-action lawsuit concerning this same defect was settled in 2013 covering several honda models.plaintiffs were [xxx] and [xxx] with u.s district judge [xxx] in san francisco.honda agreed in the settlement to extend the powertrain limited warranty for up to 8 years.from; [xxx] in dallas, texas[xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

When the gear is in driving mode, d, my vehicle starts vibrating so much that all passengers can feel it. According to honda, it is a well known problem to 2015 crv (http://owners.honda.com/vehicle-information/cr-v-2015-vibration-settlement.html). However, it doesn't seem that they fixed the problem in 2016 crv. According to honda, my problem is very obvious at driving mode 1, which means that vibrations may be present when stopped with vehicle in gear, for example at a stop light. The problem has been there for a long time, and it comes more serious nowadays.

The contact owns a 2016 honda cr-v. The contact stated that there was an abnormal engine oil odor in the vehicle. 2016 honda cr-v. Consumer writes in regard to vehicle failure to start then stalls, and also intermittent engine hesitation. *as

Excessive vibration - the engine is at 600 rpm when idling.this creates a noticeable vibration throughout the car at idle.this is also a problem when driving in heavy traffic. This vibration is causing me dizziness and sometimes i have been unable to continue driving (and i needed to be picked up).i told the service department at my honda dealership. They said that all 2016 honda cr-v idle at 600 rpm.they offered no resolution to this problem.

24,000 miles. Rough idle while at a stop, rpm fluctuates while at stop , vibration can be felt in the drivers seat, while at hiway speeds (65-70 mph) vibration can be felt in steering column/ steering wheel, all required servicing done on schedule and these issues have been pointed out at service appmnts, honda dealership reports no issue found, all above problems have increased in intensitywish to be on record as to these issues

Car has stalled numerous times when accelerating. If it does not fully stall then it pauses and accelerates. I took the vehicle to a mechanic who found no code problems with it at all. I need assistance as i feel it is a recall issue.

The contact owns a 2016 honda cr-v. The contact stated that the engine would not start after several attempts. The vehicle's battery was jumped and the contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic. No defects were detected. After experiencing the same failure multiple times, the vehicle's alternator and battery were replaced by the independent mechanic. The contact's wife was driving 60 mph, the battery indicator and the air bag warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle then shut off, which caused her to lose complete control of the vehicle. The contact's wife was able to slowly steer the vehicle to the side of the road where it completely died. The vehicle would not restart and was towed to the same independent mechanic where the battery and alternator replaced. The vehicle was diagnosed again, but no failure was found. The vehicle continued not to start after multiple attempts. The contact was able to attach a component to the vehicle, provided by the mechanic, that would prevent the vehicle from failing. The contact was able to take the vehicle to an independent mechanic from where the vehicle was purchased. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 23,000.

From new, the cabin fills with noxious gas fumes. Honda dealership says honda is aware of the problem but will not do anything to fix it as they are unaware of a fix. Unacceptable from honda

2016 honda crv vehicle shakes/vibrates when idle. Vibration is felt in steering wheel, seats, floor board on both passenger and driver side. Improvement when you move the vehicle to drive, but annoying.

Car engine **under warranty** is burning excessive oil which can eventually lead to catastrophic engine failure.[warranty: 5 yr/60k miles; have owned just over 3 yrs w/ 38k miles]1) having worked on my own cars 30+ years i noted it was burning far too much oil between changes. Took car to dealer for 'engine oil consumption test' 6/29/19; dealer denied car had burned any oil despite stick showing engine had in fact burned oil during duration of test. 2) sent email to honda reporting this issue ('honda automobile customer service case # 09925699 dated 10/3/19').honda replied that i should talk to the very same service manager who denied the engine was burning any oil let alone excessive oil; in the alternative they suggested going to 'another certified honda dealership'.since the issue has not been repaired the defect & internal damage is ongoing.i am concerned that driving the car without appropriate repair is dangerous.a simple 'google search' reveals mine is not the only vehicle in this model year with this issue.i note that for prior model years honda has acknowledged this defect & at least extended the warranty or effected repairs. (see honda service bulletin 12-089)consumer reports says 'it's normal for cars to burn a little oil as they age toward 100,000 miles and beyond. But consumer reports believes that for an almost new car to burn that excessive amount of oil is unacceptable.' ('excessive oil consumption isn't normal: automakers say adding oil between scheduled changes is acceptable. It's not.' consumer reports 6/30/15 https://www.consumerreports.org/cro/magazine/2015/06/excessive-oil-consumption/index.htm)

Seats have severe vibration at idle.most pronounced after warming up, or, highway drive. (that's why test drives don't show it!). Also, door armrests vibrate.most intolerable; makes one nauseated.also, gas mixed in with oil!gas fume smells noted in cabin while driving.

I smell gasoline while sitting in the cabin driving. My car has sat all night and i'm parked in the driveway with the car running and i smell gasoline. It smells like when there is a small can of gas in the car a lawn mower. Speaking of which, the smell is not unlike the smell you get when you spill gas on your lawnmower and start mowing the lawn. Honda refused to do anything. I was supposed to take the car to a dealership but then they wanted to charge me. I can't afford it.my son read of this problem in honda cr-v forum where they talked about the oil pan being an issue. But the car model was not a 2016 and is is supposed to have a class action lawsuit against them foe this issue but it is coming.i can't live with this smell.

Honda crv has this vibration when i stop for a red light.

Engine oil level increased by 1/8 in on only 20% oil life used (approx 2200 miles used). The dipstick smells as if fuel is in the oil. Engine components increasingly are getting louder-- the rattle of the cams atop the engine. Oil used was synthetic mobil one + new wik filter. The car had the pcv valve replaced, by owner, on a maintenance recommendation at 30,000 mi. Car has 57,879 mi.car will be investigated by dealer on may 19. Car still under full power train guarantee.

Gasoline smell comes into a cabin:-while driving, -when the engine starts after 5-10 min of restinggasoline smell comes outside out of the engine. The car was inspected at honda authorized service and the issue was confirmed. The issue is not repairable on march 2017. There are followingconcerns:- the car may blow on a rode while driving- may cause a fire while stored in a garage- may cause health issues due to breathing gasoline fumes

Tire pressure monitoring system light comes on frequently and has been checked out by the dealer service department six times since the end of october, 2017. Was told honda has to work on a fix for this problem.was told to visually inspect tires to make sure they are not low on pressure.how canyou tell if there is something really wrong with the tire monitoring system if the system isn't checked properly each time the tpms light comes on which would be frequently.

Strong fuel odors inside the car while parked or driving. Happened few times now. Took to dealership to have them take a look. They said they have found nothing out of ordinary. Told us there is no problem.

Often there is a strong fuel odor inside the cabin.this seems to occur upon starting the vehicle when warm after recently being driven; noticeable both when stationary after engine start and upon starting to drive.

Engine misfiring

Strong gasoline odor in cabin upon entering vehicle, while driving, or while idling.happens when stationary, in motion, on city street, or highway.can be dissipated by turning on the a/c or opening windows but will return after car is parked or vent fan is used.

Recently my car has been stalling every time i try to accelerate after making a complete stop.my car will sputter then it will start moving again. Sometimes in the morning after i start my car it will stall after a few seconds

The cabin of my brand new vehicle fills with gas fumes randomly while the engine is running.the fumes fill the cabin while idling, starting, and driving down the road. The fumes are very strong and i do not feel safe driving this vehicle for any distance.the honda dealership service department and the honda tech center are aware of the problem but do not have a remedy.

I am concerned about the smell of gasoline in the engine's oil.when checking the oil level, the smell is strong.i am concerned about fire safety and engine wear.

Fuel fumes in the vehicle and out of the vehicle. Very noticeable when parked in garage. We will not park in an enclosed area any more. When you first get in vehicle the fuel smell is strong; also strong when backing up. At highway speed the smell dissipates. Honda states its a known issue with no fix in sight! (they were able to duplicate the smell with no issue found!) this is a safety issue and we do not feel safe driving or parking this vehicle near our house.

The contact owns a 2016 honda cr-v. At various times, the contact encountered a strong fuel odor coming from the vehicle. The dealer was unable to duplicate or diagnose the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 1,000.

My crv has a drained battery 3 times in a year, after parked in the garage for as little as two days. Very undeniable for a new vehicle. I charged it over night, took it to the honda dealership and they told me the battery was fine!

At random times there is a strong fuel smell/ exhaust smell in the interior of the car when vehicle is running.smell is noticed on some start up coming from vents. Other times while in motion or stationary, a strong fuel smell/exhaust smell in interior of vehicle. Odor first notice around august 2016 andstill continues. Mileage on veh when first noticed around 15000

On start-up and when backing up intermittently the vehicle has a strong smell of raw gasoline inside the cabin. The car has not been recently fueled (currently has 1/4 tank). Dealership says that honda has issued no service bulletins or communications for this issue. Online postings, and nhtsa complaints, show other 2016 cr-v owners are reporting the same issue.

From new, the cabin fills with noxious gas fumes. Honda dealership says honda is aware of the problem but will not do anything to fix it as they are unaware of a fix. Unacceptable from honda

The vehicle is emitting a very strong gas odor! it is most noticeable when i open the door from the house to the garage (every time.) the entire garage smells like gas. It is noticeable when stopped at a traffic light. It is noticed when coming back to the car after having gone into a store for a quick errand(s). I took the car to a honda dealer. They kept it overnight and for most of a day. When i came in i was told that it was a just a new car smell. However, the smell continues and seems to be getting worse.

The contact owns a 2016 honda cr-v. On three separate occasions, while driving, the contact was informed that fuel was pouring out underneath the vehicle. The contact stated that there was an abnormal fuel odor coming from the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to joe morgan honda (located at 176 n garver rd, monroe, oh 45050, (513) 360-2700) where it was diagnosed that the fuel line needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The contact stated that the vehicle had been repaired twice within the past thirty days. The contact stated that the failure was due to part of the fuel line being constructed with soy bean oil. The contact stated that the dealer placed a rodent sleeve on a six inch section of the fuel line. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 36,000. The vin was not available.

I was getting on to the highway about to merge and my car just went into a sudden decreased power and no power over 2500 rpm.

Cr-v cabin intermittently fills with gasoline fumes, stong gasoline ordor causes extreme respiratory distress, including burning, coughing, and choking.honda said they are aware of the issue and there is no fix at this time. I am afraid to drive the car and they offer no solution. It happens upon starting, idling, driving, it circulates through the cabin, closing the vents helps slightly, strong gasoline smell also very prominent coming from under the hood at times.you can also smell it outside the vehicle.it is so strong it forces you to open the windows to breath, and pull over and open the doors.i have had the vehicle in for service to fix the problem and contacted another honda service department the dealerships and honda america are aware of the issue but have no fix.i was told to call honda america, i did and i was told they are aware of the issue and have offered no solution. The car is new 3900 miles and at first was told to drive it to burn off the smell, part of being a new car, but it is getting worse.

I bought my vehicle a year ago.for the past 4 weeksi have now been smelling fuel odor in the passenger cabin. There is no particular pattern and at times it is so strong that i have had to open the window to breathe while driving. This only happens when the car is driving.

Upon initial start the entire cabin of the vehicle smells of raw gas, coming in through vents. This is especially worse when in reverse such as backing out of the driveway, also this is present when idling in park or drive, such as sitting at a stoplight. The smell is so strong you are forced to open the windows until the vehicle is moving again.

When we were reversing the car brakes stopped responding. The car wouldn't turn off and it kept rolling backwards so we had to use the emergency brakes. We put it into drive and the car still rolled backwards and the brakes wouldn't respond.

Vehicle smells like gas inside the cabin at idle. Also fills garage with the odor when parked overnight.

Vehicle vibrates at idle speed. The same problem with 2015 honda crv

The vehicle has a very strong smell of fuel (gasoline) in the passenger cabin after the engine has warmed up.it is especially strong when the car has been refueled, when the engine is warm and you are making frequent stops or are backing up.honda service staff state honda america is aware of the complaints with the 2016 crv but they have not identified a problem nor do they have a fix.they did have me complete a questionaire at the dealership regarding the problem and they said honda is having engineers look into the problem.in the mean time, the smell of gasoline can be so strong that it makes me nauseous and gives me a headache.i am quite sure breathing in the smell of toxic chemicals in a confined space is hazardous to a person's health and i am quite sure the head of honda would not ride in a vehicle that wreeks of gasoline inside.i have had this vehicle 3 months and it has 2156 miles on it.in the beginning, i thought it was exhaust from cars in traffic around me.then i thought i must have spilled gas on the gas when i filled the tank, but clearly it is not either of these issues.the gas smell is coming from the fuel system of the car and it not safe to ride in it. The garage smells like gasoline after the car has been sitting in it and turned off. The car does not usually smell like gas when i first turn it on or if i drive it a very short distance.when i drive to work (2 miles) and get out and it sits for 8 hours, i do not smell gas when i go home at the end of the day.it is when the car has been driven for 15 or more minutes and making multiple stops.the dealership said they have had other customers with similar complaints but no idea how to fix it.meanwhile, i have a 3 month old $28,000 vehicle i cannot drive safely.is there a way to meausure noxious fumes in the passenger cabin?

In late november/early december, i began to smell gasoline fumes in the cabin of my 2016 honda crv. The problem has replicated after the vehicle has been driven for at least 20 minutes and then left idling. On january 7th when my car was dropped off at lia, i received a phone call within an hour stating that they replicated the smell. Lia honda had my car for 35 days. On february 10th, they contacted me and told me they had not been able to replicate and i needed to pick up my vehicle. On february 21, i met with the district manger who stated that it is a known issue with 2016 honda crvs but there is not currently a fix.after speaking with his field engineer, the dm said they currently have 46 cases of gasoline fumes entering the passager cabin.honda corporate also admitted that they currently do not have a fix for the fumes being released into the passenger cabin. Lia honda replaced the charcoal canister in an attempt to fix the release of fumes into the vehicle. On march 18, the fumes returned after an attempted repair. On march 20, lia refused to service my vehicle.

Smell of fuel in cabin and stalling when in reverse

When crv is stationary and idles, the cabin fills with gasoline smell and is nauseating and gives my wife headaches. It has been an issue since we bought new in december 2016 and the honda dealer said they would look into it and nothing has been done to fix the problem.we have young kids and are concerned for there health and safety.from reading on-line this issue seams to be a common problem with the crv.can you guys and gals help? thanks

My 2016 honda cr-v recently got 21 mpg on a 300+ highway mile trip.from day 1, the advertised mileage of 32 mpg has never been reached.it has steadily declined till i am getting 21 mpg. I recently read an article where honda admitted that vehicles produced in the years 2016-2019 cr-v's were experiencing significant mpg declines due to a defect that was allowing oil to mix with gas. This defect affected autos in cold climates, including nebraska where i live. This article explained that honda was not regarding them as recalls yet, but that they were being sent back to the factory for repairs.i contacted honda and they played dumb, suggesting that i take it to the dealer on my dime.i want answers, and now.

Strong fuel smell in the cabin of the car when i first start driving. Been noticing it daily over past several weeks.

There is a fuel smell which is very noticeable when idling.the dealer said it is the winter fuel blend but winter is over and the smell is still there.this sounds like it could be dangerous at many levels.

Gas fumes in passenger cabin. We get gas fumes in the passenger cabin on a regular basis. No gas leaking on ground that we can see. Happens more often after car has been idling for a bit. Gas fumes stay in cabin while driving.

The vehicle cabin smells like gasoline while driving. There are no leaks anywhere, this is persistent. I looked on a honda cr-v forum and saw many people have the same problem. The dealership isunable to fix it, honda has done nothing. There was a class action law suit filed forthis problem.

Strong gasoline smell in cabin of vehicle, causing head ache burning eyes and nausea while operating.

The contact owns a 2016 honda cr-v. The contact stated while driving with the cruise control engaged at 75 mph, the vehicle stalled. Additionally, the vehicle spontaneously downshifted from 75 to 0.there were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer (classic honda of texoma 2020 n hwy 75, denison, tx 75020 (903) 328-6024) where the failure was unable to be duplicated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted on 5-14-19. The failure mileage was 20,000.the contact menioned that the failure was similar to nhtsa campaign number: 17v305000 (engine). *pm

I am hearing a vibration when accelerating and decelerating. I took it to the dealer and was told that the heatshield was kinked wrong and replaced rear body heat shields. Still hearing and feeling vibration!

The contact owns a 2016 honda cr-v. While driving at an unknown speed, the vehicle intermittently accelerated even when the brake pedal was depressed. The vehicle was taken to port charlotte honda (1252 tamiami trail, port charlotte, fl33953), but the failure could not be diagnosed. The manufacturer was notified and provided case number: 08806070. The failure mileage was approximately 7,802.

The vehicle vibrates very rough when idle in drive gear. Specifically, the issue happens when the vehicle is stationary and in drive gear and all accessories turned off and when the engine temperature has reached its optimum (fully warmed up engine). The issue goes away if the rpm is raised (when stationary and in drive gear) by turning on any accessory like fan or rear defroster etc. This was a known issue in honda cr-v 2015 and was admitted as "mode 1 vibrations" by honda. Honda put out a fix for cr-v 2015 by tsb 15-046. A lot of honda 2016 cr-v including my vehicle is showing exactly the same symptoms but honda is refusing to provide a fix for 2016 cr-v vibration issue citing it as a "normal characteristics of the vehicle".the excessive vibrations during idle are causing headaches and significant jitters in the body during excessive stop-and-go traffic conditions. Also, the owners of these vibrating 2016 cr-vs are concerned about longetivity of transmission mounts, engine mounts and other mechanical connections due to this high engine vibrations. Nhtsa should definitely look into this issue and hold honda accountable to providing a fix for this issue. Following are the links to videos on youtube and google search. You will see that i am not alone.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hyj_q-7yeghttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okquu5kldf0https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nuvoss97_dw&feature=youtu.behttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=smvtcln2utehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgkw_ujh7kshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_brqyzpaxihttps://www.carcomplaints.com/honda/cr-v/2016/engine/vibration_at_idle.shtmlhttp://www.crvownersclub.com/forums/11-shoppin-test-drivin/96506-2016-crv-vibration-issue-fixed.html

The contact owns a 2016 honda cr-v. While driving approximatley 40 mph, the vehicle started to hesitate and lose power. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (north shore honda located in glen head, ny), but the failure was unable to be duplicated. Several weeks later, while driving in stop and go traffic, the transmission suddenly failed and would not shift into gear. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer who replaced the valve body assembly. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 7,797.

I have a problem with a lag in the take off in my vehicle caused by an issue with the honda cvt or constant velocity transmission. It occurs at the most inconvenient times and is not predictable. The lag or pause happens when merging and when trying to avoid being hit. The situation i am told by honda service center is caused by an oil pressure issue to the cvt transmission. Honda is aware of the issue and has not fixed it. I has been to d patrick honda on 04/17/2019in evansville indiana.this is adangerous situation because you dontknow if the vehicle will accelerate or not.

Dies when in reverse has happened multiple times at startup

When my vehicle was about 45 to 55 mph, i can feel that the vehicle started vibrating. The vibration came through the steering wheel, so i can feel on my both hands. It may affect body as well because my body can feel it as well. Below 45 mph or above 55 mph, the vibration is gone. Since this sept, the situation persists.

Over the past year or so, after i back my car out of my driveway (slight incline) into the street, i place my car's gear in drive.on two occasions, the car hesitated going forward regardless of the amount of acceleration to the engine; in other words, the car basically sat in the street requiring me to nurse it forward until the drive gear fully engaged.i am the original owner.i have taken the car to the local dealership and left it with them for a week.the dealership claims that they could not replicate the problem and, therefore, they can't fix it.my frustration is that both honda and the dealership leave me with the belief that i am the only owner of a honda experiencing the stated problem; it is especially of concern to me should the stated problem occur after backing out into a busy street/intersection.

Bad vibration while the car is stopped in gear shakes the occupants.this vibration happens when the engine rpm falls to 500 to 550 on the tachometer.honda refuses to do anything to fix the issue based on a fear of the epa and fuel economy ratings for the vehicle.honda calls this a normal characteristic of the vehicle but our family currently owns 5 honda vehicles and this is the only on to exhibit this abnormal vibration characteristic.the vibration was not as pronounced until the cvt software update (recall) was performed on the vehicle.honda has tried several things to remedy this vibration but has been unsuccessful.

2016 honda crv hesitates when going from stop believe to be the cvt

The contact owns a 2016 honda cr-v. While driving approximately 10 mph, the vehicle accelerated uncontrollably. The vehicle was placed in neutral and then in park. Also, the battery and check engine indicators illuminated and turned off. The vehicle was taken to an unknown honda dealer in san leandro, california where it was stated that there was no failure with the vehicle. The technician stated that the failure was due to driver's error. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was not provided.

Car has stalled numerous times when accelerating. If it does not fully stall then it pauses and accelerates. I took the vehicle to a mechanic who found no code problems with it at all. I need assistance as i feel it is a recall issue.

Engine stall after a few seconds backing up.possible transmission problem from what i have read. 22,000 mile vehicle, purchased new 3-16-2016starts fine, the after i back a few seconds later, motor abruptlystalls.very intermittent, happens only upon starting in am,once every few weeks

2016 honda cr-v.consumer writes in regards to vehicle transmission hesitates, fail to accelerate and cut off.dealership stated nothing wrong with the vehicle/

Vehicle "stalls" when:backing out of drivewaywhen accelerating after slowing down when making left or right turns after stopping or slowing downstalling does not occur every single time but occurs regularly.one one occation stall occured while making a left turn resulting confusion between driver in oncoming traffic and myself as i could not control the vehiclestall duration is between 1 to 3 seconds and it seems to be getting longer as the parts or system components are wearing.stalls occur mostly in city drivingi suspect that the trouble is within the "drive by wire" or the cvt

2016 honda cr-v driving highway with only 38,000 miles and cut off. Got tow home scan obd2 computer say fuel pressure i saw there was a denso fuel pump recall for honda trying see if crv are effect please call contact me back i pictures of mileage tow truck pictures

The contact owns a 2016 honda cr-v. The contact stated that a buzzing noise was heard when the accelerator pedal was depressed. In addition, while driving at various speeds, the vehicle vibrated severely. The failure recurred whenever the vehicle was operated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed, but the cause of the failure was not found. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 136,000.

The car vibrates like crazy when i come to a stop while the car is in drive or reverse. The vibration is coming from the engine and it goes in and out constantly. For example standing on red light and or stop signs. I reached out to honda and they have informed me that there is nothing they can do about it. In 2015/2016 honda crv they put the new engine and new cvt transmission which is garbage and is making these vibrations. Please help as honda is not willing to do anything about it. Thanks

As other owners have reported, when the car is in drive, idli ng (at stops), the whole body/engine/transmission are vibrating really hard. Symptoms identical to technical service bulletin (tsb) 15-046, driving mode 1: the vehicle is stopped, but in gear.

Vehicle was stopped on a sloped driveway, motor running, in park. Driver was standing outside the car with driver door open attempting to adjust driver seat position. Passenger reached over and pushed start/stop button(did not contact the shift lever). Vehicle started rolling backward, across street into neighbor's driveway and then came to rest in the middle of the street. Driver dropped and rolled and sustained minor injuries(scrapes and bruising) no police report filed.

2016 honda cr-v vibration issue - more than two months ago, i started to notice a slight vibration under my driver's seat when at idle, e.g. Sitting at a traffic light. Shortly thereafter, i received a notice from ahmc regarding a software update that needed to be done asap on my vehicle. The notice mentioned that, "the software in the pcm causes a low pressure problem in the cvt. This may allow the belt in the cvt to slip. If the belt slips, you may see a surge in rpm when driving at highway speeds. If the belt slips the transmission will be damaged and dtc p1890 (the cvt speed control system) will set." the software update was completed about a month ago and since then, i have experienced a more pronounced vibration under my driver's seat and even into the front passenger seat. The intensity of the vibration varies, but it has not gone away. Now that i have hit the 5k mile mark and had my first service done, i am afraid that the older the transmission gets, the worse this problem might become. The service advisor told me that the software update had nothing to do with the vibration issue, but i am not convinced. Before buying this vehicle, my research indicated that many customers with the 2015 model started to report the vibration issue right around this time (5k miles + or around the first scheduled service) and for most, the problem became worse. I am convinced that these issues are related to the new cvt transmission. I have always been loyal to the honda brand and i really like this vehicle, but i am starting to regret my purchase!!! :-(

The contact owns a 2016 honda cr-v. When the contact depressed the brake pedal, the rear driver's side seat belt loosened and the passenger went forward in the seat. Vans honda (2821 s oneida st, green bay, wi 54304) was contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The contact stated that the seat belts were previously repaired under a warranty. The failure mileage was 55,000.

My vehicle has been presenting problems with the air bag several times the air bag sensor is coming out.

Vehicle was stopped at a light, and received front crash from incoming vehicle. Air bags did not work, and seatbelt broke. Passenger received significant bodily injury

Two seat belts in back seat have frayed for unknown reason. The seat behind the driver has completely frayed. The middle seat was originally frayed about half inch and then, after bringing it to hondas attention, it has frayed at another spot almost completely. Honda does not want to call it a defect and wants to call it wear and tear. This vehicle is only used for work commute and only has 16k miles. There havent been any passengers in the rear for 95% of those miles.homda refuses to inspect the car further and has only relied in phitos that were taken at the dealership to make their decision in saying its not a defect and therefore will not repair it under warranty.

The contact owns a 2016 honda cr-v. The contact stated while fastening the driverā€™s side seat belt, the seat belt failed to fully retract or secure the contact in the driverā€™s seat. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where the contact was advised to rub the seat belt mechanism with rubbing alcohol. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure and informed the contact that he would receive a callback. The failure mileage was approximately 46,564.

2016 honda crv vehicle shakes/vibrates when idle. Vibration is felt in steering wheel, seats, floor board on both passenger and driver side. Improvement when you move the vehicle to drive, but annoying.

After spending 20 minutes driving i get numbing pain in both legs.i don't have issues sitting on anything else or other cars.i have visited a chiropractor numerous times and he doesn't see anything misaligned in my back. I have tried various pillows to help aliviate the pain with no success.my wife usually has to drive for me.

Upon driving the vehicle 30 - 40miles i get leg cramps and my toes get numb. I encountered this when i drove the vehicle home from the dealer. I did not encounter the problem on the test drive as it was relatively short. I tried several seat positions to re-leave the pain to no avail(note this is a leather power seat with several adjustment positions).i researched the web for this problem and found it to be pervasive. I hate the vehicle and want to return it. It is causing sever leg and back problems. Honda should be fixing this problem. Note i talked with my local mechanic who previously worked for honda and he agreed this is a serious defect / design problem that is not on other similar suv vehicles (i.e. The seat cannot be adjusted sloping downward to relieve blood circulation problems in the legs above the knees).

The 12 position electric drivers seat adjust by it self.this vehicle does not have driver 1 or 2memory seats.after the driver seat is adjusted the car is driven and parked.upon returning to the vehicle the back of the drivers seat will be in a different position than it was when i exited the vehicle.this is intermittent issue and happens maybe every 3 or 4th time in the past year.on two separate occasions after entering the vehicle and starting the vehicle, the back of the drivers seat will adjust forward pushing the driver forward towards the steering wheel.this is a concern especially if it were to happen while driving down the highway.

After turning on the heated driver's seat switch, i began to smell burnt plastic. Didn't expect that turning on the heated seat might start a fire.this occurred while driving.

Seats have severe vibration at idle.most pronounced after warming up, or, highway drive. (that's why test drives don't show it!). Also, door armrests vibrate.most intolerable; makes one nauseated.also, gas mixed in with oil!gas fume smells noted in cabin while driving.

While idle at traffic light, front two seats shake quite a bit to make us nervous. But when turn headlight on, that shake reduced by 80%.but one headlight turned off/daytime, its shakes again after once break applied

The inside of my 2016 cr-v smells like gas, my former 2015 had the same problem.the dealership has no clue what is wrong, they told me to switch brand of gas, it did nothing.also the seats vibrate while idling, again the dealership doesn't know what to do.

The contact owns a 2016 honda cr-v. The contact stated that while driving and approaching a stop sign, the brake pedal was depressed and the contact stated they felt a vibration in the vehicle. The contact stated that the vibration ceased when the accelerator pedal was depressed. The failure recurred several times. The vehicle was not taken to be diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 63,000.

The contact owns a 2016 honda cr-v. The contact stated that when reversing out the driveway and attempting to apply the brake pedal, the brakes failed to stop the vehicle. The contact had to immediately turn off the vehicle and shift the vehicle into park in order to stop the vehicle from rolling. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer where the vehicle was unable to diagnose the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure recurred. The contact mentioned that the failure mostly occurred during cold weather. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 650.

The contact owns a 2016 honda cr-v. The contact stated while driving 45 mph, when approaching a cross road another vehicle coming form the right side failed to stop. The contact stated she merged to the left to avoid an impact and crashed the front passenger side of her vehicle into another vehicle. The contact was unaware of any warning lights illuminating. The contact stated that the cmbs system engaged however, the vehicle was unable to immediately stop when the brake pedal was depressed. A police report was filed. The contact stated she sustained a concussion and neck injury. The contact did seek medical attention.the contact stated the driver from the other vehicle was taken by ambulance. The vehicle was not drivable and was towed to independent mechanic. The vehicle cosmetic damages had been repaired by independent mechanic. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired as of yet.a dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer had been informed of failure. The failure mileage was 20,000. Consumer statedi was unable to stop my car for about 1/4 mile after the accident. The car controlled itself and i could feel it slowing down. But i could have run over a pedestrian, driven into a river, or an intersection because i could not stop the car.

I pulled into a parking lot going about 2 or 3 mph.when i pulled into the parking space to park, i pressed on the brake pedal but the pedal didn't seem to move.it felt solid and there were no brakes.my car jumped the small curb and hit a vehicle in the adjacent parking lot. My driver side airbag deployed. The car was towed to the body shop and the body shop owner said the brake system light was on.honda agreed to have the car towed to the dealership to have a honda certified mechanic check out the brake system. A honda representative came to the dealership to check out the brake system and said they can't replicate the problem so there is nothing they can do.they said i should drive it and monitor the brakes.with the possibility of the brakes failing again, i don't want to drive that vehicle again.

I bought honda crv 2016 on august 2016, but in october 2017, i figured out the there iscorrosion onright rear caliper, and i afraid that can cause malfunction for the brake. So i went to the dealer, they said that is the poor quality of the honda crv, the corrosion is normal, and refused to do any repaired. Please see attached picture.i only use my honda crv to go to the church, supermarket that near my house, the mileage only1097 miles when i reported this problem to the dealer, and i usually park my car in the public city street, in queens, ny.

My back breaks (pad and rotors0 need replacing at 35,000 miles.noise started and made appt. For two days later.auto master where i purchased the care said i was lucky i got 35k out of them, they have seen them go around 22k. I have never had breaks go on a vehicle at 35k.i have read many other people complaining about this problem on their crvs.replacement cost from dealer is outrageous.and the dealership could have cared less that i only got 35k out of the breaks.this will be last vehicle purchased from them and the last honda.may even look at trading it now after the breaks are done being fixed.very dissatisfied with honda and the dealership.i always believed honda to be great vehicles but am learning it is not so.very unhappy customer.

On 8/10/2016, my wife was driving the vehicle slowly on a street with a downward slope towards a crossroad. My daughter (a kid) was sitting at the back seat. When she saw the traffic light was red, she tried to stop the vehicle by pressing the brake. But the brake did not work. She felt that she was pressing a rock.she was planning to go straight across the juncture, but in order to avoid running into the red light and a potential accident, she turned the vehicle right towards the street on her right side. Then she turned off the engine, and the vehicle stopped. It was a very scary experience for my wife. Clearly the brake failed. So the next morning (8/11) we took the vehicle to our local dealer, and asked them to check the brake. After checking, they told us that they could not replicate the incident, and could not do anything. Therefore i called american hondamotor co. And requested that they send somebody to check the vehicle. After a long delay, their district services manager visited the local dealer, and instructed the dealership to bleed the brake fluid. This is not the right solution to the problem. If there is air in the brake fluid, you need to bleed the brake fluid. But that's not the problem my wife experienced when the incident happened. The problem was when she pressed the brake, she felt she was pressing a rock. The brake failed at that time. So we requested american honda motor co. To replace the brake system, but they declined on the basis that they could not replicate the incident. It has been one and a half months since we took the vehicle to the local dealer. American honda motor co. Did not solve the problem, and the dealer now asked me to take the vehicle home. How can we drive the vehicle again if there is a potential risk of this incident happening again. The brake may fail again, and somebody may die.

Did not deploy in accident 2016

I believe a sudden unintended acceleration issue caused an accident with my 2016 honda cr-v as i was driving to work on december 12, 2019. At that time, i had been driving for over 36 years both on maui and as an air force officer in the conus.in all that time, i had never driven recklessly or even sped as is evidenced by my driving record. That morning, my vehicle had reportedly been driving at a high rate of speed and ended up flipping over several times leading to my hospitalization and surgery for spinal fusion.unfortunately, due to the resulting concussion, i can't remember anything from the morning of the incident until waking up in the icu after surgery, not even driving to work. Knowing that i would never purposely speed, i hired someone to download the black box data. To my shock, it showed constant acceleration, no steering inputs, and no braking inputs for at least five seconds. The only reason i've decided to put this out there now is due to the parallels i've read about with tiger woods' recent accident.i don't believe anyone who has driven for decades would ever mistake the accelerator for the brake pedal.moreover, if they did, their instinct would be to quickly release the accelerator then brake, definitely not to continue to floor it for several seconds.i'm not expecting to get anything personally out of this complaint.my main hope is that investigation will be done to prevent further injuries and deaths. Please investigate to see if many other black box reports from similar accidents show accelerator floored with no braking or steering inputs for several seconds.perhaps there is some combination of inputs causing wrong signals to be sent to the electronic control module.i believe the reason there aren't many more reports of this is due to the unfortunate fact that in most cases, the driver ends up either dead or having a concussion.

Driving in neighborhood at 20-25 mph, going down small hill, vehicle suddenly accelerated to about 40 mph.applied brakes, with no result.continued up gradual incline and was able to stop.after a couple of minutes, determined that brakes were again responding, continued slowly to destination (two or three blocks).honda arranged tow to dealer.dealer has not been able to "duplicate customer concern," and states that the vehicle is ready for us to pick up.do not want to drive this brand new car again.

When we were reversing the car brakes stopped responding. The car wouldn't turn off and it kept rolling backwards so we had to use the emergency brakes. We put it into drive and the car still rolled backwards and the brakes wouldn't respond.

The contact owns a 2016 honda cr-v. While pulling into a parking spot at 3 mph, the brake pedal depressed completely to the floorboard. The vehicle crashed into a concrete wall without warning. When the contact turned off and restarted the vehicle, the brake indicator illuminated and the brake pedal depressed to the floor again. The air bags did not deploy. A police report was not filed and there were no injuries. The vehicle was towed to a dealer, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 2,552.updated 11/07/16*ljthe consumer sold the vehicle back to the dealer as a trade in on another vehicle.

The contact owns a 2016 honda cr-v. While driving 10 mph and making a right turn, the steering failed and the power steering indicator illuminated. The vehicle was towed to honda of ithaca (315 elmira rd, ithaca ny, 14850) where it was diagnosed thatrodents had eaten the soy based wiring. The contact stated that the wiring and rack needed to be replaced and the codes needed to be cleared. Additionally, the contact was advised to purchase mouse magic, peppermint candy, and moth balls to repel the rodents. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the issue. The failure mileage was 10,911.

My vehicle has been presenting problems with the air bag several times the air bag sensor is coming out.

Vibration in steering wheel, at 70 to 80 mph on freeway, youdon't want to hold steering wheel, car was brand new took in at 1,200 miles honda dealer balanced all 4 tires, vibration is still there . I went back to complain, the service writer said, you now have 11,000 miles on the vehicle why did you wait so long i said i've had over10 major back operations and my wife is the main driver, she does not drive at 70 mph, when i drive at 70 mph it is because i have to keep up with traffic in the fast lane and the vibration in the steering is still present, the service writer started making excuses for not fixing the problem, now being a vietnam war vet and i had a 60% hearing lost at the time, so i talk a little loud, i went out to sit in my car to wait to get my car fixed, the service manager came out to my car and be-little me, not realizing i've been a car mechanic for 30 years, he said you can take your car where ever you want to, but we at manly honda santa rosa, ca. Will not fix your car even though it is still under warranty. Then he says get off the property and don't come back. I paid to have the tires balanced again at a tire shop, the vibration in the steering is still present !!!!!.

Just picked up new to me used vehicle 8/21/20. 8/22/20 the eps light came on and extremely hard to drive. Took it straight to the dealer's. I did receive a loaner car.picked it up on 8/26/20. Got about 1/2 mile from home and the eps came on. This means you have no power steering.very difficult to turn. Called dealer back. They are bringing me a loaner and taking my crv back to try and get diagnosis.very upset as i need this vehicle for work saturday.

2016 honda crvvibration at 50 and 70 mph speeds and shakes even on a smooth roadway.

Complaint: safety problem with my 2016 honda crv ex-l.electronic power steering(eps) has gone out on me two times on freeway (once turning into a curve on freeway, second time on freeway driving straight) and once on surface street (leaving an establishment and trying to get out of a parking space).when eps went out, steering became extremely stiff and barely movable making any maneuver of the car challenging and dangerous. Honda is under warranty. Honda dealership has had car in shop 3 times attempting to repair.they have sent me out two times saying car was repaired but each time car had to be returned with same problem.dealership has attempted to repair car and have replaced 2 parts (unknown) pertaining to eps with no success.now they are ordering a 3 part (unknown) in attempt to repair the eps.i have expressed my fear of the car to honda corp. Office as well as dealership.i am afraid they will give me my suv back saying it is fixed and again i will find myself in a dangerous situation when the eps goes out for the 4th time. Information selected for speed limit at time of incident only reflects surface street drive.when on freeway, speed was between 40-65 miles.

On october 22, 2018 while driving on a freeway, the sun roof glass exploded. The sunroof was closed and not being used at the time.

Purchase the honda crv 2016 in december 2015 notice that the clear coat started chipping away at the hood of the car and when i brought it in for repair i was told that it was rocks that cause this and proceeded to pull off pieces of the clear coat without even asking me andit's in multiple spots it's now 2019 i have 30,000 miles on my vehicle honda refused to fix the clear coat it is not from rocks or any other normal wear and tear i've purchased three hondas over the last 10 years and this is the first time this has ever happened to me

1.car is too much bumpi from day1 2.every time star withshake 3.gas paddel need to push twice to run the car 4.all injectors and spark plugs are changed new (bought from honda} 5.still giving code p0172 system too rich bank 1, 6.went honda servicecan not guaranteethe can fix but they took 140 dollar fee. 7.something like unknownbecause even honda can not fix it 8.car miles 126000

Back hatch- every year in feb - when temps drop to single digits the back hatch on the crv will not work. Considering there is no internalk release- this is an issue if access is needed. The car has been brought ineach year to a honda dealer but it doesnt seem to get fixed. The issue is also prevelent on the web going back to 2012 on this vehicle model. Most recent occurance listed below-

I was a victim of a head on collision on 3/19/2020. I suffered a broken leg and numerous bruises and contusions as a result of the collision. After i was transported via ambulance to the emergency room for treatment and surgery, my car was towed and then assessed by insurance inspectors as "totaled." i was driving on a city street going 35 miles an hour when a saw a vehicle coming towards me veering wildly from one side of the road to the other. The weather was sunny and dry at the time. I remember wondering at the time of the accident why my front air bag did not deploy. It surely should of, i would think, and maybe would have prevented my broken leg.

The right rear mold became loose for no reason. I have seen many honda crv's with the same problem.

The contact owns a 2016 honda cr-v. The contact stated while driving65 mph, the driver's side sun visor clip fractured causing the sun visor to detach from the roof, causing a visibility hazard to the driver. The contact used duct tape to secure the sun visor in place. The vehicle was taken to shockley honda (7400 shockley dr, frederick, md 21704, (301) 329-8801) where the mechanic confirmed the fracture of the sun visor clip. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 45,000.

The contact owns a 2016 honda cr-v. While idling at a stop sign/ light the vehicle vibrated roughly. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to braman honda of palm beach 5200 lake worth rd, greenacres, fl 33463 (561) 790-8570 where the failure was unable to be duplicated. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was contacted but no further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 5,000.

The contact owns a 2016 honda cr-v. The contact stated that the vehicle vibrated heavily while idling at a traffic light. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 14,900.

Rear wheel misalignment causing noise in rear of vehicle and rear tires to wear out. Became obvious at about 45,000 miles.

Rear wheels are bent inward, was like this when i bought the vehiclein 2016.

The contact owns a 2016 honda cr-v. The contact stated that when he took the vehicle in for servicing and an alignment at 10,000 miles, northside honda (9100 san pedro ave, san antonio, 78216, tx (210) 729-5619) informed him that the rear wheels were bent inward. Due to the failure, the mechanic was unable to get the rear wheels to align properly. The mechanic stated that the vehicle just barely met the manufacturer specs. The rear driver's side strut was damaged and the contact was informed that there was a charge to replace the part. The contact stated that the dealer admitted to a factory defect in the service visit since the initial alignment check in 2017. The manufacturer had not been contacted yet. The repair was pending at an unknown dealer. The failure mileage was 10,000.

My wife and i bought a brand new 2016 honda crv se on feb 16, 2017 that was manufactured on 07/16. Three days later i found both front steering knuckles covered with rust. The service department in anchorage alaska continental hondawould not fix the issue and told my wife it was a coating. Sooner or later the bolts on these knuckles will corrode amd can brake.

Tpm light comes on after traveling 2 1/2 hours on highway at 75 mph. Checked tires and constantly shows pressure high. Tires checked day before trip at 32 psia with tpm light comingon during highway driving. Checked tires after tpmlight comes on and tire pressure was 35 psia. Happened three times on trips over 21/2 hours of highway driving. Dealer says nothing they can do. Annoying since i will have to bring a tire pressure gauge and check all four tires to see when the tpm light comes on and see if warning is due to tires heating up during long periods of highway driving resulting in higher tire pressure.

Car start shaking at low speed or idle the shaking stops at higher speed

The tire monitoring pressure system on my 2016 honda crv has alarmed 3 times in the past 10 days with no significant tire pressure problem found.i took it to my local honda dealer for an inspection of the problem. The service rep stated that because i had replaced the passenger rear tire with a different model, not size tire, the tpms is prone to frequent false alarms.due to some on-line research, i have become aware of a honda software tsb14-006 that should remedy my problem. Should honda notify me of this update?

2016 honda crvvibration at 50 and 70 mph speeds and shakes even on a smooth roadway.

The car was parked inside my garage. Yesterday evening passenger side rear doowr window shattered/exploded and glasses are on the seat and floor in the back seat.the car was never involved in any accident. It's less than 3 years old and under manfacturer warranty. When i called honda they said there is no recall or issue reported with them. However i searched online and lots of people complaining about honda's different modal where the door or back window just shattered/exploded. Fortunately no one was inside the car and no was hurt but it's very risky. I can imagine if my daughter would have been in her seat she might will have glasses on her entire body.

Rattling noise in the right side/ behind the dash board when the a/c and heater is on. In addition, the a/c and heater often go off and on while the vehicle is in motion.

I bought a 2016 crv touring two month ago, the next day i realized the entire car has a strong vibration, i took it to the dealer and they told me that issue it was for the 2015 crvs , i have the same vibration. I'm so frustrated they said its normal but is not! i searched on youtube and other owners are going through this too.when i. Turn off the a/c the revs goes to 500 and the vibration increase, the ac is not good it doesn't blow cool air ( i have a 2010 grand vitara andthe ac works better)

While driving on the interstate in warm weather i heard a loud explosion like something had hit the car.i pulled the car over and did not see any damage.later that day i discovered that the sunroof was shattered.i did not have it elevated or open while driving. Luckily the protector was closed so i was not injured. I have read in consumer reports that this is a issue with vehicles.i do not see how a rock or anything could have smashed my sunroom.it would have had to come down vertically.i found no foreign debris among the glass.it cost me a $500 deductible to have it fixed.

Car vibrates/shakes when sitting still in idle

Seats have severe vibration at idle.most pronounced after warming up, or, highway drive. (that's why test drives don't show it!). Also, door armrests vibrate.most intolerable; makes one nauseated.also, gas mixed in with oil!gas fume smells noted in cabin while driving.

Car loses complete power for 3-6 seconds at times while driving. This has been since i bought new. Dealer says everything tests normal.

When we were reversing the car brakes stopped responding. The car wouldn't turn off and it kept rolling backwards so we had to use the emergency brakes. We put it into drive and the car still rolled backwards and the brakes wouldn't respond.

When crv is stationary and idles, the cabin fills with gasoline smell and is nauseating and gives my wife headaches. It has been an issue since we bought new in december 2016 and the honda dealer said they would look into it and nothing has been done to fix the problem.we have young kids and are concerned for there health and safety.from reading on-line this issue seams to be a common problem with the crv.can you guys and gals help? thanks

Strong fuel smell in the cabin of the car when i first start driving. Been noticing it daily over past several weeks.

Rear hatch won't open or close by push button in cold weather and driver's side power window grinds going up and down (had this supposedly fixed 4 times)

The vehicle vibrates excessively when at a stop light. It starts vibrating intensely when idling. It will stop if i turn on the ac or heat to a moderate range and it seems to cancel out the vibration. It has been checked out and there is nothing they can do to fix it. This is a known issue with prior models, but it was supposedly fixed in the 2016 vehicle.

While driving all warning lights and indicators come on. West broad honda unable to diagnose or fix, diagnostic test showed 30errors. These incl. Brakes and steering. They have tried twice and now say they cannot try anythingelse until it happens again. I feel this is not satisfactory. The date started s the first time they tried to fix

Once my car hit approx. 15000 miles the tpms keeps coming on. I have taken it to honda several times and every time i get it back they say everything is fine, i.e no slow leaks etc.. Butshortly there after sometimes the next day the light will come back on. Most recently i drove for about a month with no issues but then this week it came back on.i went and the tire pressure checked and it was within a 1lb of where it should be.i am able to recalibrate , button on dash and thelight will go off. Honda insists it is just very sensitive.i have read about multiple complaints on the internet. Clearly there is something wrong with this tpms system. What is the point of having it if you can't trust what it is telling you.

Strong smell of gas in my new 2016 honda cr-v when i start it up and it smells for awhile while driving it then when i stop and start i smell it all over again. I'm worried about the safety of driving this car. Read online a lot of 2016 honda cr-v owners have the same issue with no resolve after taking it to the honda dealer.i'm taking mine to the dealer on monday but very worried this could be a safety issue that could involve a fire or worse.i'm planning on driving this vehicle on a long trip this summer now im very concerned for our safety. Very disappointed in honda and purchasing this new vehicle. I bought a new vehicle so i do not have car problems.

I purchased the vehicle in ec 2016 brand new. The car was never involved in any accident. The car was parked in garage and all the sudden we notice that the vehicle's passenger side rear door window exploded/shattered. I did not find any debries or anything inside. I googled it and i notice lots of people complaints on different honda vehicle with similar incident where read or side window exploded/ shattered.no one was in car so no one was hurt. But this is a risk because normally my daughters sits on that side. I can't imagine what it would be if this happened when she was in her seat in the car.

Car horn do not work, controls on car steer wheel does not work.

: i was jacking up my cr-v using the scissors jack came with the car. Then the jack failed on me. Luckily i was not under the car. The car pushed the jack to the opposite side from me. I was not hurt. The car had no visually damage. The jack was broken and the steel bar strike into my garage floor. It was a very dangerous moment. The jack was rated 1350kg. It should hold the weight of half of the car. The vehicle was stationary in my garage. I started the case with honda, but they only documented the information and showed very little care about life.

I bought a 2016 touring crv in december. The vibration issue that plagued the 2015 crv is supposed to have been fixed in the 2016 models. Well, it's not. I didn't feel it when i test drove the car, but the one i got clearly vibrates when at idle. I brought the car back to the dealer, but they told me it was normal. Well, i've driven lots of cars in my life, and it is not normal.

Air conditioner no longer works

Bought a 2016. Thought the fix was in. Drove 4.1 miles off the lot . I was so sick and numb legs and hands. I had to pull over. Dealership picked me up. Offered to only find me another car for same price. Said its my car but wont fix under warranty. Then said it's not my car. I have not signed any forms to release it. Paid 22k.

My 2016 honda crv was sitting in my driveway after being driven around all day. Later that day i went to put something in my hatch area when i noticed the rearhatch glass had exploded out. There was no apparent cause. The car has 30,000 miles on it

Driver's side rear door window exploded without cause and shattered while it was parked in the garage, with most falling to the ground and some landing on the back passenger seat and floor.there had been no damage to the window prior. No warning lights/messages, no undue stress to the window.

Hatch will not open in cold weather 40 degrees or lower

Seats are very uncomfortable. I cannot drive for more than 15 min and my right leg is numb and i have pain in the right buttocks. It is bad enough that i have to constantly move around to relieve the pain and discomfort.

At idle speeds (less than 800 rpm), the shake and vibration was so severe in the front dash and the front seat that i did not hear the sirens of ambulence going by as my 20 oz waterbottle was shaking and clacking on the sides of the cup holder. I did not hear the oncoming emergency vehicle as it sped toward me 90 degrees from where i was headed and missed the crash by a few feet. Plastics and dash covers steering wheel and are shaking vigorously inside the car and it only happens at low rpms. 2015 honda crv tsb states that the problems were fixed for 2016 models (exact same problems that i am having: drive mode 1 at idle speeds), but i am having this issue since day 1 of getting this car. It has been over 5 years and if the shakes continue to get worse, and i can not hear what is coming toward me, i will could be in dangerous situations that i just experienced, like not hearing the oncoming emergecy vehicles or someone honking at me to be safe. This only occurs for my vehicle when it is in drive and the car is not moving. As i give gas and rpm goes up, zero issues with vibration(s) occur.

Smoke from the car on the road in 2016 honda crv i purchased a brand new 2016 honda crv from a honda dealer.on valentine day (2/14/2021) , i was driving the crv and stopped at one place.when i started the honda crv lot of smoke started coming from under the hood.i could also smell some burning smell from under the hood.i was afraid and turned off the engine immediately.then i got it towed to a mechanic as no honda dealership was nearby after staying on road in snow for about 2 hours.he examined and told me the water pump has failed at the total mileage of 44526 in my car.the has not even reached 45,000 miles and the quality of honda is poor that the water pump failed.i had to buy a water pump, some assembly , main belt (which was burnt) and the coolant to be replaced.i had an toyota camry and didn't had any issue till 175,000 miles when i sold and purchased this honda crvplease look into the issue and contact me for any details

Relevant information: the car i'm referring to is a black mustang with white racing stripes, license [xxx] with a picture of an exit 32 sign next to these numbers. Driver was white obese male wearing glasses. Tried to pass mustang on one-lane 55 mph road with a dotted line in middle. When i had opportunity, mustang (who had been doing 45) sped up to try and block me. Made it in front while panicking due to worry about ongoing traffic. Mustang later got on same highway as me, i moved into left lane because i didn't want to be behind him (scared he would do something else dangerous). The highway speed limit was 65, so i started doing 65. Mustang waited until my front bumper was next to his back bumper and veered over to cut me off. Had to slam on brakes to avoid hitting his car while doing 65 miles an hour on a highway. Mustang seemingly was doing this just to taunt me, as he was waving his hands at me. After mustang exited, spent the next hour trying to drive while physically shaking and heart racing due to fear of how close i had come to being run off the road solely for trying to pass someone doing under the speed limit. While there was no physical accident i hope you follow up on this as this man seemed to think driving extremely dangerously for no reason was a hilarious joke.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

There is a rattle noise coming from the review mirror part. I had the recall done on the radio rattle but this is something new. Everyone i talk to has a rattle i'm hoping you do a recall on this so it can be fixed.

The contact owns a 2016 honda cr-v. The contact stated that there was an abnormal chemical odor coming from the vehicle with a visible unknown fluid leak. The contact took the vehicle to autonation honda at bel air mall (1175 east interstate 65 service rd s., mobile, al 36606, (251) 202-2023) however, the mechanic was unable to identify the cause of the failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 60,000.## 2016 honda cr-v.##the consumer stated the vehicle was parkedin the garage. The gasoline odor emitted through, causing the family to become sick. The consumer no longer owns the vehicle.

I was driving along and heard a loud pop, which startled my wife and infant son.there were no other cars around so i slowly opened the sunroof visor and noticed the glass was shattered.

Takata recall does my honda have a takata air bag.

The inside of my 2016 cr-v smells like gas, my former 2015 had the same problem.the dealership has no clue what is wrong, they told me to switch brand of gas, it did nothing.also the seats vibrate while idling, again the dealership doesn't know what to do.

My 2016 crv has a strong odor of unburned fuel. It is so strong it prevents us from driving. The odor can be smelled inside and outside the vehicle.

There is a strong noxious gasoline smell filling the cabin when operating the vehicle. Apparently honda has know of this issue for some time and has received numerous complains about the problem in the last year. Despite this, they knowing sold us the vehicle without disclosing this potential problem.i took it to the dealer we bought it from (hopkins honda in minnesota) and they confirmed the smell and acknowledged that this is a confirmed problem, but stated that there is no fix and that honda is trying to find a solution.in the meantime my family and i are forced to inhale this fumes while operating the vehicle which has resulted in headaches and nausea.i am extremely concerned about the health of my family.

Door lock on the passenger side door is locking and unlocking erratically on its own, and the event is randomly happening, making it thereby harder to reproduce.

Strong gasoline smell in the cockpit and in the garage.this is especially evident when starting or stopping.

I just purchased this vehicle in july 2019.thank goodness it has been a mild winter because the heat on the drivers side is cold.i am very concerned about losing my heater and the inability to defrost my window driving in bad weather. I did some research and this seems to be a big problem.tsb 14-063

My sunroof suddently exploded and left a really big hole when i was driving on freeway and it was very windy outside. I checked and saw there was nothing falling down that can caused the glass broken. The glass was pushed up and outward. The slider was closed when it exploded

Purchased a 2016 cr-v in november 2016 and within a day the cabin of our brand new vehicle fills with noxious gas fumes from a cold start. The fumes are very strong, after driving the car the fuel smell will lessen and on occasion the smell will dissipate completely. The smell was so strong we had to roll the windows down. The vehicle has been in the service department three times. First time they could not duplicate the smell. This attempt was not from a cold start. Second time we left the car overnight so they could evaluate from a cold start. The service tech stated he could smell the odor in the cabin. Honda tech was called by the technician and i had to complete an online questionnaire about the complaint. The service writer said at this time there is no fix for the problem and we could take our car home and wait for honda to reply. Third time we basically said we did not want this car if you cannot fix it and they gave us a loaner car, a 2015 cr-v which does not have any odor. Still waiting on the dealership to call us with a solution. This was our first honda purchase. Really wish i would have stuck with my previous car manufacturer.

When sitting at a red light in drive/idle with brake engaged, the car vibrates severely. I have brought my crv in to the dealershipand the dealer says no fix available .i have seen multiple similar complaints from other 2016 honda crv owners all over the internet.

Air conditioning went out at 46,000 miles.honda knows they have issues with ac units on their cars, especially crvs and do nothing about it.can't believe a four year old car will need $thousands to repair after buying car new.i am spreading the word to not buy hondas.

Only when the vehicle is stationary, and the hvac system is on (a/c on / off is not relevant) does the cabin begin to fill with the smell of gasoline (not exhaust, but unburned fuel).

Since the date of purchase we have smelled fuel within the passenger area coming from the fresh air vents.we must actually air out our garage (which has no other sources of gasoline within)in order to get the smell out of the garage. This process becomes very difficult during our wisconsin winter.the dealership implied that they are waiting for a fix to the problem but american honda motor co. In california believes the vehicle is performing as expected.at no time is the odor of fuel or exhaust in the passenger cabin acceptable or safe.

Air conditioning is blowing warm air - the air cuts in and out and sometimes it doesn't work at all.

At the end of a private roadway, i stepped on the brake in order to switch to reverse and back up into a parking area.when i put my foot on the brake, the vehicle accelerated and would not stop. It hit a garage door, and the rear of two vehicles before finally coming to a stop. The entire time, my foot was on the brake and was on the brake when it finally stopped. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a local honda dealer to evaluate the cause of brake failure. Sealer stated they were unable to replicate the problem and the brakes checked out ok....updated 02/22/17

The contact owns a 2016 honda cr-v. While attempting to park, the vehicle accelerated inadvertently and crashed into a landscape timber. The air bags did not deploy. A police report was filed and there were no injuries. The vehicle was left in the parking lot and was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 5,000.

12/1/2017 car was parked on the street inside a neighborhood in plymouth, michigan. At about 6:30am on saturday 12/2/2017, here are the things i did in order:1.i started the car by pushing brake pedal by right foot and start button by one finger. 2.put control on 'd' drive position.3.pushed gas pedal by foot, car moved and jumped very fast.4.pushed brake, but car didn't stop and hit someone's garage door.5.put control on 'p' park position, car was stopped.6.front of the car was damage and leaked fluid. 7.no air bags were open. 8.my forehead was hurting. 9.car was towed to a collision shop to repair.10.12/3/2017 called honda recall line 888-234-2138, but honda said there are no recalls for my car. So honda recorded my accident information and said someone would call me back.

While pulling into a parking space, the car accelerated at a fast rate of speed and crashed into a tree driver and passenger had bruising.

Was driving on highway at 65 mph with cruise control on when vehicle suddenly accelerated. Moved hands and feet to make sure i was not causing it, then pressed cancel button on cruise to stop it. By this time i was going 80 mph. Luckily no cars were in front of me or could have had an accident. Took vehicle to dealer and they could not find an error code or replicate problem. Going on vacation for a week and will be using cruise again. Will pay extra attention to this problem while on highway. Have copy of dealer work order, but it is not available for upload. Will retain in case you need to contact at a later date.

Unexpected accelerationwhen pulling into parking at less than 5mph.foot on brake, not accelerator.had to stomp on brake pedal because carjumped curb, ran into bushes and parking sign.unexpected acceleration happened again one hour later going down an hill at 25mph with foot on brake so as not to exceed speed limit.had to put car in neutral and depress brake pedal again.front end damage

The contact owns a 2016 honda cr-v. After backing the vehicle out of a parking space, the vehicle accelerated without warning. As a result, a rear end collision occurred. The police was called and stated that they would not come out because it was a single vehicle crash. The vehicle was towed to the northwest honda dealer and was not deemed destroyed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact sustained a swollen foot and moderate pain, which required medical attention. The failure mileage was approximately 3,000.

Upon moving into a parking spot, i slowed down, and suddenly the car surged unbelievably fast.i ran into a brick wall about 4 or 5 feet in front of the car.no other people were around, but certainly, i was at risk.this problem has happened to me in this 2016 crv, and in another crv, 2015. Twice in the 2015. The dealer has not reproduced the situation.it is intermittent.this first crv happened around 15000 or 16000 miles.this car has around 44000 -45000 miles on it. Of course, the dealership says i had my foot on the gas.i did not!either of the 3 times.it has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police insurance reps, etc.no one is interested in doing do.certainly not honda.i have found numerous examples on the internet of people experiencing the exact same thing.they describe exactly what happened to me. There is no warning whatsoever.i know honda will do nothing, until it becomes impossible for honda to ignore.in the meantime, i wonder how many people will have to be injured or worse. I am asking nothing from honda.that is hopeless.i am going to junk the car.i cannot in good conscience sell it.i did sell the 20015 back to honda, as they "assured" me it would be checked, and this was just an anomaly.

The contact owns a 2016 honda cr-v. While driving various speeds, the accelerator pedal was depressed. The vehicle failed to respond without warning. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the failure recurred several times. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 4,000....updated 02/22/17

Hesitation when trying to accelerate.happens anytime- step on the gas and it takes a few seconds before the acceleration starts.

After buying a new 2016 honda cr-v last year, and then driving it for the first 75 miles at highway speeds, the engine, transmission, or onboard computer started failing to allow this vehicle to always accelerate smoothly and safely from a complete stop, or from slow-rolling speeds.when trying to accelerate in stop-and-go traffic, or when trying to accelerate to pullout into heavy and fast moving traffic after coming to a complete stop at a busy intersection, or when trying to accelerate to pullout into heavy and super fast moving expressway traffic after decelerating on an expressway entrance ramp, this vehicle will hesitate and almost stall-out when the accelerator pedal is initially pushed i.e., feels like a dead accelerator pedal, . . . And then, when the accelerator pedal is pushed harder, the vehicle will lunge forward at frightening, dangerous, and not always controllable speeds which could cause a deadly head-on, side-impact, or rear-end collision.another seriously dangerous situation is when this vehicle almost stalls-out and suddenly slows down, the brake lights do not come on to warn other drivers behind this vehicle, because the driver of this vehicle is not pushing on the brake pedal to cause the brake lights to come on.my wife became so seriously concerned about this vehicle, until she has been too afraid to drive it, and now she has become concerned about even riding in this vehicle with me driving. This is not just a problem that we alone are experiencing.there are negative comments all over the internet about this honda cr-v problem, and everyone we talk to who owns a 2015 or 2016 honda cr-v say they have the same problem and that honda dealers do not have a fix for it.the honda motor company needs to be held accountable and required to recall and fix all of these cr-vs to make them safe, or reimburse owners for the full purchase price.

The contact stated that the cruise control warning indicators illuminated. A police report was not filed. The dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. The vehicle was operable after the crash. The contact sustained minor pain, but dr prescribed rest and muscle relaxant meds and therapeutic massage. The failure mileage was approximately 11,000. Updated 10/19/17*lj

Chipped and/or cracked honda windshield seems to be a problem. This is our 3rd honda cr-v (2010, 2013, and 2016) and with each vehicle, the windshield would chip easily from a stone or pebble on the highway; try to repair but the chip/crack would spread; and so, each time the windshield had to be replaced. Safelite tried to repair it on our current cr-v since our insurance company recommended them but the crack spread. We normally go to norman's (burlington nj) as they do a great job. They replaced it with a ppg oem at about $300 total, which is far less than you wanted to charge. My complaint is why do honda windshields crack so easily? we've had other brands such as jeep and gm/chevrolets and they don't seem to get chips or cracks when a stone hits the windshield.are we unlucky with hondas or are their windshields weak?the replacement ppg oems seem to be stronger as well.

We were driving on highway 5 north around roseburg or at about 65 mph and suddenly the sunroof glass exploded outward.it was a sudden and load explotion and was very very very frightening.we are attaching a picture of the damage.note, we feel fairly confident nothing from the outside caused this and believe this has been caused by a defect in the vehicle.we highly encourage the appropriate authorities to investigate this further as we believe this is a very dangerous issue.feel free to contact us as we do have several more pictures.note, we're taking the vehicle into the honda dealership in portland or to have the glass repaired.also note, we informed our insurance company of the incident and they stated they have seen this same issue many times before.

Honda dealer and manufacturer claimed that the wiper of the 2016 honda crv stops 1.5 inch from the edge of the windshield glass.when you are driving, it seems to be a lot of blind spot.

I was driving in the rain on city streets with the wipers at one of the intermittent setting.without warning, the wipers disengaged in the resting position - stopped working.i tried repeatedly to restart the wipers, turning them off/on, changing the intermittent settings, changing from intermittent to full speed, different speeds, etc.i even tried using the wiper fluid to see if that would engage the wipers again - nothing worked.i tried repeatedly over a 15 minute period with no results.then i turned off the car, restarted it, and the wipers began working properly again.(even though the vehicle is under full a warranty, no dealership nor american honda will authorize repair because they've been 'unable to replicate the malfunction'; in other words, when i take it it, the wipers are working again and they can't/won't authorize more diagnostic work to identify the source of the problem.the case # with american honda is #09402884)

Vehicle parked on wednesday afternoon with no problems with the rear window, in my driveway .... Far off the street. My vehicle was not driven or touched since it was parked. Friday morning went out to my vehicle and rear window was shattered. I was on edmunds and apparently this seems to be a honda issue !!!!! i have pictures of the rear window. I called honda and was told my warranty does not cover it and they have no recall for it..... There is not scientific data to support the need of having tpms. Plus, the tpms design is bad since the replacement of the batteries require all tpms unit to be changed. The battery replacement should be done from the outside not requiring to deflate the tires. Also the tpms should be easy to install directly on the valve requiring the valve to be redesign to accomodate such new tpms.

Continental passenger car tire - cross contact lx 215/70 r16. After driving at modest speeds and with no known impact that would affect the tire, immediately after parking vehicle on grass at a slight angle -- downhill and toward the passenger side -- the front passenger tire went totally flat in approximately 30 seconds, with air rushing through two places in the sidewall that appeared to have no apparent trauma to the outside of the tire.

Rear wheels are bent inward, was like this when i bought the vehiclein 2016.

Tire pressure sensor keeps going/staying on even though tires are properly inflated. Dealership won't cover cost to find problem and repair it.it is a known defect reported by many users.

This vehicle has continental tires on it.the first side wall blow out occurred at about 16000 miles. This tire was replace by me at my cost. The second tire was a sidewall blow out from the inside of the tire at 40mph.after noting many problems with the tires i replaced all 4 tires at my cost. The tire inflation was checked both times before the blow outs and the tire pressure was good. These tires also have a problem with electronic tire pressure sensors. Checking the pressure manually, the tires had proper pressure in them. Dear would not replace the tires even though they are aware of the problem with the french tires. Bad customer service on honda's part.

The tpms turns on about very three months. I noted this to be happening while driving at 55 mph on a highway. I usually have to stop in order to find out if i have a flat tire. In all cases it was a false alarm that stays like that until i take it to be looked at by the dealer. They do get it fixed but it keeps happening over and over, and they say there is not much they can do to have it permanently fixed.

The tire pressure warning light keeps coming on even though the tires are properly inflated. My daughter also has a 2016 honda crv which she purchased new and just replaced the tires for the first time and her pressure light keeps coming on as well. I spoke to the honda dealer and they said the tpms system is sensitive. Never heard of this and wondering if you are getting alot of complain ts regarding the tpms system on honda vehicles?

A snowstorm on december 5, 2016 left me unable to navigate the road safely because the all season tires bought with the car became stiff with cold and hazardous in snow. Bridgestone dueler h/p sport as p265/65r17 are clearly not all season tires and do not belong on cr-vs sold in cold climate states. I attach my receipt for other tires i purchased to replace these and my letter to honda.

2016 honda crv vehicle shakes/vibrates when idle. Vibration is felt in steering wheel, seats, floor board on both passenger and driver side. Improvement when you move the vehicle to drive, but annoying.
