I received takata recall letter mar 2016.the letter states the local honda dealer will resolve within 60 days.local honda dealer is honda of bay county, panama city fl.i have called three times, in may, june and july to have my driver and passenger airbags replaced.each time i have been turned away by the service reps.this is extremely unacceptable.i was not informed of the free use of car rental.my last call i was connected to a regional call center which verified there are parts available for my passenger airbag and scheduled me for service on 7/1/2016.when i arrived at the honda of bay county service desk i was turned away again.the service reps and honda are not concerned for customer safety.this is extremely bad business!

Takata recallwe have been told by honda our cr-v is unsafe to drive but have not been given a replacement vehicle - despite numerous attempts to arrange for this at the local dealer (schomp honda, littleton, co). The dealer said they would try to arrange for a sedan of some type however this is not acceptable, as we must have an all-wheel drive vehicle due to the nature of my work (i drive for uber and lyft). I opened a case with american honda on 3/25/16 but as of this morning (3/30), despite being told someone would get back with me by no later than 3/28, our case has not even been assigned to a case manager. So we are forced to drive, and my passengers are forced to ride in, what honda calls an unsafe vehicle.

Takata recall - filing a complaint regarding time frame to fix the air bag issue. I received a letter back in april about this possibly deadly issue, only to be told it won't be rectified until late summer/early fall of 2016. I drive a dangerous, very busy highway in miami, 4 times a day with 2 children in a car that's basically a time bomb. And the fact that a fix to this issue wouldn't be available until months after i was notified is not acceptable. I contacted a local dealership (braman honda) twice about a free loaner (as i was told this was an option) and no one got back to me. I then asked about having my airbag disengaged so it wouldn't be a threat. I was told they wouldn't do that. So still no help, and i was left with one option, buy a new car. I traded my cr-v in at a different car dealership for a used one. I'm disappointed with honda, with the airbag manufacturer and the local dealership for not helping. I feel like they are getting away with murder. I am filing this complaint as part of a safety recall letter that was sent to me by honda, where it states to do this if you are dissatisfied with the amount of time the repairs took in relation to the receipt of the letter. Thank you.

Takata recall. - i've been waiting since we received a june 2016 letter from american honda that there was a recall for our front airbags.it said parts would be available by the end of summer or fall.we have heard nothing & are planning to take a cross country road trip in early january.when can we expect to see replacement parts.have we any other options such as exchanging the vehicle for one without an airbag recall?or selling it without losing a dime to any honda dealership?

Takata recallon 08/22/2016. For oil change auto nation costa mesa ca.advisor mentioned recall, he orders the parts and it will take two weeks to sixty days and will call once parts arrives.after i got in my car i read the paper copy that i signed and it stated that'while they wait for redesigned parts to become available, customer has elected to retain possessionof their car and has signed the 'honda takata airbag inflator retention/storage owner indemnification agreement'i said does agreement mean that i am willing to drive my own car? he said yes.i said if i feel uncomfortable to drive my car because of safety issue what can be done. Then he said you can get rental car for me.why not mentioned that i am signing an agreement about recall fix and explain it to me?why customer automatically gets signed to agreement when they sign for regular maintenance service without knowing what options are available to them?why mentioned about rental car before i signed agreement?what happens to other customer who don't even read their oil change service paper that they signed?i left with my own car, as i didn't want to change into rental car, thinking they will call me within sixty days.3-4 days before sixty days i called the dealership.they never called.made an appointment for 3-4 hrsof recall work. Asked him does honda provide rental car for a day?he said no honda stopped renting car for airbag recall from september 15th.since last i was there on august 22nd they might have stopped rental cars for recall fix after that.went there for recall 10/26/2016 i asked same person rental car honda stopped providing rental from august 1st !!i was here on august 22nd for my oil change and they said yes.why not contact me within sixty day if the part was there? why flip-flop on rental car? not providing transparent information.

Takata recall.replacement parts still not available and honda refuses alternate transportation.

Takata recall - i was provided a rental car to be driven for 3 plus months until part are available. This is ridiculous. I do not want to drive someone elses car for 3 months or more. I have a crv for economic reasons and the rental is a big gas guzzler mini van. I can't put my pets in or i will be charged a $150 fee when the rental is returned so i am uncertain of how i am expected to get animals to an from the vet or boarding during our planned vacations and work trips. Why is there not a trade incentive offer toward a unit without these issues. Seems it would be a win! win! win! for the customers dealerships and the manufacturer. Move inventory, new car for the consumer, less rental fees to the manufacturer and put more honda's on the road. This would be great for brand loyalty also.

Takata recall. I have gotten yet another recall notice and to date i have not been contacted by honda about my previous inquiries about fixing the airbags. Most of my maintenance is done at the honda dealer at 621 battlefield blvd in chesapeake va and at least 2-3 times last year when visiting for maintenance i asked about the airbag recall and was told the parts were still on back order and i would be contacted when they arrived. Today's recall notice says to file a complaint if your local honda dealer has been unable to make repair within 60 days of initial contact.

Takata recall.received a recall notice in march 2016 indicating replacement parts would be available in "summer 2016."called local honda dealer today (7/27/16) and was told part was ordered on may 7, 2016 and still has not been delivered.no estimate of when it might be available, told i would receive a phone call to schedule service when the part came in.meanwhile, i have no choice but to drive around in a vehicle (my only vehicle) that could result in my death in the unfortunate circumstance that i were to be involved in an accident that caused the airbag to deploy.this is unacceptable! honda has known about this since march-it is now almost august and i have no idea how much longer i will have to wait to have this fixed. Praise god that i have not been involved in an accident yet and i will continue to pray that i am not because i have no other vehicle to use in the meantime. My local dealer has done their job by ordering the part-it shouldn't take over 2 months to have it delivered.

Takata recall- i have been contacting my local honda dealer to have my takata airbags repaired since april, and they keep telling me they ar waiting for parts. Takata recallhonda refuses to assist me with this recall. They have no loaner for me at the dealership and wouldn't "allow" me to use it if they did because i have a pet and they don't allow pets in their vehicles. They have paid for a rental that also does not allow pets and refuse to pay for the associated pet fees with it and get's terrible gas mileage. This has impeded my ability to work as i have no way to bring my dog on jobs with me any longer and can't pay for daycare for him. Additionally, honda refuses to suspend off my car payments temporarily, so i'm paying for a vehicle i can't drive. Honda has told me i need to take "personal responsibility" on several occasions. Me. I do. The consumer who purchased their rolling death machine. I have spoken with agents at the local dealership and at honda's call center (aaron, sahara, winona). Winona was bold enough to tell me that this is my problem since i encountered financial difficulties last year and even inquired twice as to why i was in debt. The audacity has been astounding.

Takata recall - my car was added to the recall list in february 2016 and i was notified by mail in march.i only heard through another customer in april that if i contact honda, a rental will be provided because the parts are not available until "probably" late summer 2016.honda did not notify me that a rental car could be provided but rely on the customer to call them. This defect could cause injury or death to the driver or passengers of our car.i have called 8 dealerships in the nyc area multiple times this week.2/8 said they could help me rent a car, but only up to $35/day and the difference/ insurance and storage for my defective vehicle is my financial responsibility.although the honda website claims to provide rentals at no charge.honda is providing false information in their recall campaign, and i can not afford a rental car in my area because of the difference in price and limited availability.honda is failing to provide a safe car for me to drive my toddler to daycare in every day. I'm scared to drive my car but have no choice for at least the next three months.

Takata recall- my eighteen year old daughter's car has been on the waiting list for a new airbag since march 2016.now there is a recall on the passengers side airbag.we checked with our local honda dealer (heritage honda in rome ga) and are told not only that we have to rent from enterprise because they have no loaner but that we have to supply our own insurance and that our daughter can not drive the rental car.there is no date given for when the repair can be executed!i have read on the honda/acura website how teens can now drive loaners or rentals but this was never mentioned by our local dealer.we have always thought very highly of honda cars and have owned a 1998 cr-v for many miles.this unfortunate issue with the airbags should not have such an impact on the loyal honda customers. I would like for someone to make this right.contacting our local dealer and having them loan my daughter a good car until her's can be repaired will be an enormous jester of good will from honda and i will let it be known but i also intend on pursuing other avenues if we are having to adjust our lifestyleto adhere to the issues related to this recall.please contact me at [xxx] or [xxx].information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

I had both airbag inflators replaced. However i recently received a notification from dealer saying the passenger bag needed doing. I thought this was weird, and checked the honda recall site, and it says "nothing needs replacing". However, today i doubled check with the dealer, and they said there was a "bulletin" associated with a potential faulty installation. I have no idea now if this is dealer [xxx] or a legit safety concern. Please make sure honda knows about this.parts of this document have been redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Honda describes airbag to be unsafe...could kill or injure driver...a loaner cr-v will be provided, however i would have to pay $250.00 unpon return of the car for "detail" cleaning. This is because i transport a therapy dog (through therapy dogs international) to facilities in the back of the car.if i opt to take a risk and continue driving the car, my car will be one of the last to be repaired, as all individuals with leased cars will be given a priority.i feel this is unfair, as i was not responsible for the defect in the airbags.

Last spring time at the end of april 2016 i received a notification from honda saying that my vehicle was in the list of "recall" for defect of the air bag. The letter says that the part " will be available in the summer of 2016". It never happened, later at the end of august, i called honda complaining about thepromise they told me torepair my car airbag on summer as they l said in they letter.the she promise to do in the month of september 2016, it never happen. Today 11/01/2016 around 11.45 i called again and the customer service told me now they don't know when they will have the airbag available. I told her i need my car, especially now on winter is when i need it most because i suffer from asthma and it's too difficult to me going around walking. She proposed i take a car from a honda dealer free of charge but i have to pay the insurance cost. I refuse to pay any money for any other expenses except for gas usage. I'm paying already insurance for my car sitting in a garage without usage.please see what could you do in order to speed the waiting process that is taking longer than what the promised.thank you.note: i writing a date of the honda notification.

"takata recall" i received a recall letter from honda in march 2016 stating they would not have the parts for my car until summer 2016.i have decided not to drive my vehicle and have gotten a rental from my dealer.they gave me a ford focus which i am not happy with. I had to put my name on a list for a suv.i feel this is not being handled in a timely manner by the honda corporation.i also don't trust even driving my car after they fix it.is there any other action i can take.i am very concerned about this because i drive my grandchildren in this vehicle.also in the meantime while my vehicle sits in my driveway i still have to make my car payment and pay my car insurance for a vehicle that i cannot and am afraid to drive.i am not satisfied with honda's response to this.i did go to the dealer and my next step is to call honda itself but do you have any suggestions to help me.thank you for your help in advance.sincerely [xxx] my email address is [xxx].information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Takata recall - please see the attached letter which explains my predicament related to the announcement of the takata recall for 2011 cr-vs.today, honda corporate's response to my plea was to dismiss me with no reasonable remedy.they are not willing to help me trade in my 2011 for a 2012 so that i replace my business delivery.at this point a rental is not even an option - neither hertz nor enterprise (verified byscott jordan - gfm of greenwich honda 203 622 0612) will rent a car to be driven by young delivery drivers.so i am stuck with a 2011car i cannot use and no way to replace it unless i buy another car out of my own pocket! this seems that the entities that created this awful situation are not willing to make amends.what other recourse do i have? can you help me?

Takata recalli received a notification about my car from honda usa in the spring. I contacted the honda dealership and they told me that the parts would be available in the early summer. I contacted them again yesterday,8/9/2016. A service tech scheduled an appointment for 8/14/16 and told me that the repair would take about 90 minutes. Less than a hour later i received a message to call the dealership back. The man did not leave his name. The receptionist told me his first name, peter. He did not anwer his direct line. I was transferred to someone else, nancy. She told me that honda had not yet provided the part and that "summer" was a vague timeline. She told me that the reported incidents all took place in the south where it is hot and humid and that i had no reason to be concerned. Massachusetts has been very hot and humid this summer. I commute in and around boston, ma where traffic is terrible. I am very concerned about my safety in the event of an accident. The woman told me to call around other honda dealers to see if they had the parts. She said that the dealership will not notify me when the parts are available, i have to keep checking. I know other honda owners who have had their cars repaired 2 months ago. They were provided loaner cars until the parts were in stock without question.

Takate recall - i want to make you aware that the honda corporation has not effectively ensured that its independently owned/operated dealerships are addressing all affected drivers of the recalled vehicles.drivers who are under the age of 18 are not able to rent cars from enterprise rental services, which is being used as the sole alternate transportation option by hendrick honda, woodbridge, va.hendrick honda does not have loaner vehicles.therefore, anyone under the age of 18 who drives one of the affected vehicles has no options to get alternate transportation.obviously, there are other dealers in the nova area, but in a call to three dealers, they have run out of loaner cars.my family is affected because my daughter, age 17, cannot drive the other family vehicle due to her small size and the large size of the other family vehicle.it would seem to me that since a 17 year old was a person who was killed in the airbag incident that, in part, prompted this airbag recall, that the honda corporation and all its independent dealers wouldbe expected to have appropriate alternate transportation options for all drivers, not just those over the age of 18.i have filed a service claim with the honda corporation and have requested that the service director from hendrick honda, from whom i purchased the vehicle, to whom i was referred to get the alternate transportation, and with whom i have done business for well over 5 years, call me to discuss this problem in more detail.however, i feel that the larger issue is that honda and its dealers have not looked at its entire customer base to ensure that all potential drivers of these cars are covered.

Recall notice dated march, 2016 but no repair date yet available.

Propellant wafers may degrade over time, which could lead to over agressi've combustion in the event the airbag is activated. I am suggested not tohave a front seat passenger. I need the seat, but honda will not give me a rental unless i pay for it. Honda is telling me for the person to get in the back. The back seats are already filled. Where is this front seat passenger going to sit? i am in need of a rental so that seat will be returned to me. Thank you

Takata recallin the wake of the recent death of a teen in texas because of a faulty takata airbag, i wanted to take this opportunity to inform you about my experience with the recall. I received numerous notices from honda informing me about two airbags that needed to be replaced in my honda crv. With the first notice i contacted my local dealership and was told it would be two months prior to my passenger airbag repair. I felt that wasn't an issue since my wife had another car and i hardly had passengers in the vehicle. I recently received notice that my driver airbag is now in need of replacement and since moving to san diego after the birth of my daughter my wife and i now use the the same car with my daughter in her car seat. This recent notice was disconcerting so i took it upon myself to call american honda motor co. Directly to secure temporary alternative transportation per their recall notice. This issue with my vehicle is potentially deadly and with my new daughter i did not want to take any chances on her safety. After speaking with jessica on 03/19/2016 at 10:45am i was given the case id# 04523834 and told i would be contacted early the following week to have someone discuss my options. It is now almost a month later and i have received no call nor any response from my messages.

Takata recall! takata air bag recall on my car's air bags since may 2016. As of december, 2016, i am told that no parts are available. We live in florida - hot and humid and the car is 5 years old. I am told that the risk of catastrophic failure and injury increases with the age of the car and in hot, humid climates. I demand that the car be fixed immediately.

Almost more than six months now parts are not available. For rentals car when we call company-we directed to dealer and when to dealer we are directed to company-vice versa. Cannot afford to risk life and also cannot afford to keep on different people and hanging the phone for hours wasting my work hours and pay

"passenger airbag inflator" and "takata recall". This is regarding the recall numbers 16v-346 and 16v-061 for cr-v 2011 model. I have received two recall notices one in march 2016 and other one in july 2016. Since it's clearly indicated in the safety recall notice received from honda that it's risky to have passenger in the front passenger seat, i am very much worried with accompanying my family and friends in this vehicle with safety. Even i am not sure if same risk applicable for the driver as well. The fix for this issue taking so long even though it's very clear that there is a high risk for death or body injury if airbag is inflated. Please have the servicing facility provide an alternative arrangement until these parts available. I am a common man who has only one vehicle for day to day use and if any major injuries/death happened to me or my family due to this airbag issue, i would like to know if honda would be ready to take the responsibility for that. Please consider it as a high priority issue.

I need my airbag to be changed as per the public notice

Takata recall, i received a letter from american honda about a safety recall related to the airbag of my honda crv 2011. This car was in the state of ri where my daughterwas going to college so the closest honda dealer had the car towed to there closest location and gave me an smaller car with the excuse that i was going to receive a car with similar cargo space than the crv as soon as we have to move our daughter out of once she finished her semester and also that the car was going to be towed to nh when we move to nh but now their customer service department is denying that they made such promises and asking us to cover the towing back to nh and borrow others peoples car to move out of ri. In fewer words they are running away from their responsibility and lying to their customers. Now i am in nh and they are holding the car against my will unless i pay the towing myself. Now i have 30 days to register my car in nh but thanks to american honda i won't be able to do so.i understand that accidents and fatalities are more important than my case but american honda should not take advantage of the gravity of other cases to abuse and lie to their customers.

Takata recalldriver side and passenger side front air bags have been replaced. Since replacement i have noticed that the dash warning lights indicate that the bags are not working and the side air bags also are not working, these warnings happen every time i start the car! i returned the car to the local dealer (the one that replaced both bags) and paid an additional fee to have the vehicle checked. At that time i also mentioned my complaint from purchase that the ignition key gets very hot and that the auto battery must be replaced every two years!their response was that they could not find anything wrong or unusual!the auto had 34849 miles on the odometerat the time (2/13/17) and contiues to date!

Takata recall the dealership has not provided a safe temp transportation and has not fixed my vehicle after receiving the notice in march 2016. They have not fixed my vehicle in a timely manner and winter is approaching in mn.

Honda has issued a recall (nhtsa 16v-061) in march 2016, stating that parts would be available in summer of 2016 it is now almost fall and parts are still not available and my honda dealer has not been able to fix the issue

During a fairly low speed collision (~25 - 30 mph) the airbags deployed. However, they did not fully inflate. Car was a total loss and title was transferred to the insurance company.

As instructed in the recall letter i received, i called my local dealer.i spoke to sam in the service department.i explained my concern about the air bag recall letter and told him that i was fearful of driving my car as the letter stated that i could die if the air bags deployed.he assured me that i would receive a call back today.i did not receive a call.when i attempted to call again they were closed.i am very concerned about driving my car and would like to know what my next step is.

Takata recall - i purchased a 2011 honda cr-v for my daughter as her primary vehicle.in early 2016 i received a letter from honda information me of the takata airbag recall.the letter advised that the car should not be driven due to faulty airbags that have resulted in fatalities.the letter included a phone number to honda.i have called honda america countless times trying to resolve the issue.initially i was directed to the dealer who i purchased the car from, then to the closest dealer to where my daughter lives during the school year. Next i was directed to follow up with honda america. I have been going around and around with honda america because they are willing to rent cars for vehicles affected by the airbag recall since the impacted cars are so dangerous to drive.the problem is that my daughter is 18 and major car rental companies do not rent to 'under age' drivers in california. Honda has a website dedicated to this recall and on more than one page they state that they commit to ensuring that young driver have a seamless experience obtaining rental cars until their car is safe to drive again.that is not what is happening in my case. Here are the pages i am referencing http://hondaairbaginfo.com/news-updates/a-message-to-our-customers-about-takata-airbags/http://hondaairbaginfo.com/takata-airbag-inflator-recall-fact-sheet/#drrpi am asking for assistance because honda is discriminating against their younger customers. They are only providing safe and reasonable solutions for mature drivers.this is unethical, immoral and putting many younger drivers and passengers at risk for serious harm and death.

We pulled our honda crv 2011 into a parking lot at bonefish grill in canton ohio on november 30, 2014.my mother was pulling into a parking spot and the accelerator moved to the floor and the car could not be stopped by slamming on the brakes.we ended up running into a car parked in front of us then a car to the left of us and then the car was finally stopped when we ran into the side of another car parked in the lot where it finally came to rest.the air bags did not deploy, and we were not injured.we were very scared and there was substantial damage to the 3 other cars as well as our own.we have read online the stories of others that had very similar situations with this particular make and model vehicle.we do not plan on ever getting in this vehicle again and will not trust any vehicle that honda builds as well.this incident luckily happened in a parking lot.if we would have been in an intersection we or someone else would likely have been killed.this vehicle needs to be recalled and customers should be compensated for the negligence on the part of the company.it looks like from the stories that we have read that honda is claiming no responsibility for this issue and blaming it on driver error.this is not acceptable and honda needs to own up to their incompetence and dishonesty.

I can document several additional times since the original recall repair was performed that the air bag light has come on, with the honda dealership giving various explanations, while not solving the problem. If you include the original recall notice, i have 10 service repair records over 2 years showing the srs light coming on because of a problem or defect. My wife drives the car primarily, taking our son to and from school and other activities. She no longer feels safe driving this car and we now do not trust the local honda dealership, which has provided often-changing answers or explanations for the air bag warning light issue. We hope you can help us.

1. Air bags should have been changed @ the same time! when takata's dangerous airbags were discovered they bith should have been removed & replaced immediately! instead my family has been @ risk for far too long! i bought my honda crv ex-l brand new! i've been driving in a death trap ever since! why was honda not required to change both airbags? 2. I've read multiple complaints on the ac compressor/clutch's that honda has known (for 10 years) were dangerously placed, create malfunction of costly ac systems, (children die in hot cars far too often)from heat strokes, etc. As posted on your website! the ac/compressors pick up hazardous materials/waste that is then pushed throughout the ac unit! airport honda has had knowledge before my warranty expired of this problem in crv's. They did not disclose this costly issue, neglected to fix it, & it did malfunction. I paid for costly repairs, & i paid honda for a platinum vehicle warranty! i'm concerned that nhtsa has not held honda responsible for this stating it's not safety issue when it very clearly is! as a nurse & parent i put my child in a carseat which automatically increases his temperature. Then you add ac issues in tn record heat & humidity (which also affects the airbags) & it's a deadly combination! this is a serious issue,& it is nhtsa's responsibility to hold honda accountable for their choices not inform their customers & continue putting them in danger. Tn is known for brutal heat, humidity, asthma, & allergens! this is a public safety issue. I have my paperwork to legitimize my claim! investigate this, make honda notify customers! most people can't afford these repairs! we have had 90 degree days this october, ,& my crv is blowing hot air again! please contact me immediately & investigate this as a safety issue! okease forgibe the all caps, but this is ridiculous! i expect more from honda & more from you

There is an "air bag" warning light on in this vehicle.when hooked up to computer it reads "air bag inflater" problem.older models of honda's have had recall notices for this problem.i called billion honda in iowa city, ia and they responded "no recall" on this vehicleand "not covered under warranty" and were rude on the phone. Warrant states 15 years or 150k mile warranty on "safety restraints".with past history and warranty coverage i would think they would correct this problem before the liability becomes greater.

2011 honda cr-v.consumer writes in regards to replacement parts not available to repair defective airbag recall notice.

Takata recall:after being notified by honda only in early 2016 regarding the defective airbags in our vehicle, honda has provided zero efforts in remedying the situation.honda has yet to receive parts to replace our airbags (and did not even place an order for them until we reached out to them) and has failed to offer a loaner vehicle despite the serious "injury or death" that may be caused by our continued use of our vehicle.also upsetting and frustrating is the fact that we have not even received a response after alerting our local honda dealership manager (jaime arreola at honda keyes woodland hills) that we have an upcoming cross-country road trip that we must take for business.our numerous follow-up calls to determine the status of the airbag replacement parts have also gone unanswered / unreturned.

We have spoken to honda usa & dealer a few times, the dealer has stated that they have ordered our parts for the recall. After waiting 6 weeks for the equipment we have heard nothing from the dealer. I don't believe they are trying to resolve our situation.

Takata recall7-21 - we scheduled to drop off our vehicle at valley honda regarding driver and passenger airbag recall. Received rental. No contact with anyone from honda until 7-30 - received message in the middle of the day saying the vehicle is repairedarrived at dealer at 3pm, where they minimized the fact that only the drivers airbag was replaced, and advised "there was nothing they could do" and i had to contact honda directly, (hondas dept that handles this, is closed weekends)was forced to take unsafe vehicle or pay for the rental at the end of the day on a saturday. Contacted honda and spent an hour on the phone, was told it would be escalated and i would hear back. 8-2- called honda, no resolution, was told it was not escalated, had ticket escalated. 8-5 - still no contact from honda, called them, was told nothing has changed, but they will escalate to management8-5 1pm - heard back from honda that someone will review it and get back to me possibly in the next 1-2 weeks. Honda is intentionally misrepresenting the repair process, pushing my family into a corner and forcing us to take our vehicle, dealers are doing nothing to stop this nor to resolve the issue. They are hoping by prolonging this process that customers will go away. Hondas own site advises that loaner or rental will be provided if the driver airbag needs to be replaced, and only separates out if the passenger only needs to be replaced. My situation was both driver and passenger until i was forced to take it. Service manager signed document acknowledging delivery of unsafe vehicle.i currently have a toyota passenger only airbag recall, that they are providing alternate transportation no questions asked because i also do not feel safe driving it.

This vehicle does not appear to be on the recall list, however the owner's literature indicates it has takata airbags.are the dealer's required to replace the airbags even if they are not on the recall list?

Takata recalli called honda dealer and honda automobile customer service regarding the safety recall notice. The notice mentions "honda suggests that you avoid having a passenger sit in the front passenger's seat until the recall repair has been performed". So, i talked tohonda carland at roswell, gaservice department hoping to get a loaner. But the lady at the repair department told me that it's a suggestion but it's upto me if i drive with someone with front passenger. And the loaner is only for the driver side of the airbag and doesnt apply to passenger side of the airbag replacement. Few days earlier, i was told that i have to only worry if the airbag light comes on and should be ok driving around. In my opinion, this is ridiculousas not all of them have a privilege not to use certain part of the car, while we wait weeks for it to get replacement. Isn't' honda required by law to provide the loaner in this case? is one's health and life is less important for honda than saving few bucks?

Takata riecall--nothing has happened yet! that's the problem . I used to be able to enjoy my car and i really liked driving it. Now, because i have received these recall notices from the dealor and other agencies, i have been expecting premature expansions or a failure of it to expand when needed. This has changed everything for me and now i see i'm not even on the list. If you think i should consider myself lucky then you don't understand the feeling of driving a car at all. I've been stripped of that fundamental excitement of my new (used) car and now i'm exposed everyday to the uncertainty of getting safely to my destination or worse yet, hurting somebody elsedue to faulty equipment! what a tragedy this has become for everybody involved but please consider the emotional loss i have sustained not counting the financial burden from loss of services i expected and paid for in good faith. I didn't pay 20 thousand dollars to become a nervous wreck from the thoughts of having a wreck!

Takata recallhello, i just received a replacement vehicle while honda waits to figure out how to fix the inflators. Fortunately, i did not get to test whether my vehicle was affected. However, instead of receiving a replacement small-size suv, they gave me a mid-sized sedan in the interim. This is a poor trade, and i will incur additional costs as i have to move. Is there anything that can be done about it? i feel ripped off since i was apparently driving a frag-grenade around for the last few years.

Door lock actuator failed: key fob would only lock/unlock drivers door.manual key lock/unlock onoutside drivers door would only lock/unlock drivers door.attempted to lock/unlock all doors using button on inside drivers door: could only lock/unlock drivers door--no affect on other doors.today, honda dealer tested and then replaced door lock actuator: problem persisted unaltered.then more diagnostics showed: "diagnosed to find the unlock relay inside the micu is not providing power to unlock the remaining doors.the noisy driver front actuator, or any of the other 3 may have caused the issue in the relay.orderd the under hood fuse relay box and customer will return."

When unlocking the doors using the key fob the right rear door unlocks momentarily then relocks. When using the driver door lock button to unlock the doors the right rear door unlocks then relocks. When parking the vehicle and placing the shifter into the park position the right rear door unlocks then relocks. When using key to unlock vehicle from driver door handle the right rear door unlocks then relocks. When transporting children this is a safety issue that honda should address. Reviewing complaints from other sources this is an ongoing issue with honda crvs since 2003.

When starting vehicle car turns on with no problem sometimes and will run with little to no problem. When all of a sudden vehicle begins to lose power and all lights on instrument panel lights up car shuts off. This can happen randomly at any given time, weather condition, speed, parking or pulling out of parking spaceon the highway or multi-lane streets within city limits; and or one-way streets, back roads or country roads with inclines and higher elevations or not. Incidents have been happening since march 15, 2017, april 2, april 15, april 18, april 20, may 2, may 4, 2017.all maintenance work done on vehicle was done by honda dealership where purchased.all inspections including may 2017 inspection have received passing grades, done by honda dealership as well. Took vehicle to dealership twice and was informed they could not find a problem.diagnostic test was not done because check engine light would need to be on and shut off needed to occur while at dealerships service centers. Car was purchased april of 2015 as a pre-owned / pre-certified vehicle. Manufacturer warranty for power train will end november 2017. All other warranties have ended.

It appears honda has a known defect concerning the driver door locking and unlocking mechanism and they choose to make the consumer responsible for the cost of repair and if damage caused by their efforts to repair the customer's responsibility.thankfully the 1,800 quote to replace the door panel was avoided; however, i was charged $839.74 (391.15 parts and 360 for labor at duval honda). The driver door would not unlock, which effected the trunk inability to open and i had to get in and out by leaving the passenger side unlocked and manually unlocking the passenger side to get in and out of the 2011 crv-ex. If i wasn't flexible i would have been trapped in my own car, which is a safety issue. It is disappointing of honda's lack of accountability.

The vehicle was towed into the dealer where the technician diagnosed that the battery needed to be recharged. The manufacture was not notified of the failure. The failure and current mileage was 30,000.

Doors are not unlocking on my 2011 honda cr-v. This is very dangerous. Iparked the car overnight and the doors won't unlock. On further investigation, i saw that driver side door lock is stuck. It won't unlock with key fob nor with the key. Very very dangerous. Meaning, now i either i have to keep the windows down and fear the car being stolen or fear i won't be able to come out of the car in the event of an crash. I saw online that there are countless complaints about lock actuators being faulty but honda still did not issue a recall.

Rodents caused extensive damage to my car causing over $4,000 worth of damage to my car.my insurance covered most of the cost and i only had to pay $500 deductible.rodents also caused damage to my home which was also very expensive.i had to have my attic insulation replaced, my dishwasher needs to be replaced and numerous kitchen plumbing problems.

Within the last month, my 2011 crv has had a recurring issue with the door lock. When i hit the unlock button, the driver's door remains locked and will only turn manually. Likewise, it will only lock manually. The other day i couldn't open my trunk because of the locking issue. Because of the unlocking, the sensors affected my dome light and my battery died after 3 years. I have read that this is a common problem, but no recalls yet. It doesn't make sense.

I have a crv that i purchased new in 2011. During the warranty period and several years after that i had all the maintenance work done at the dealership. Recently i had two doors that i cannot open with the remote or key, the passenger side rear door and the hatch back door. Honda wants to charge me over $800 to solve the problem. What if all doors lock up and i cannot get into my car; will i have to pay over $3000 to get into my car? even if had extended insurance with 3rd parties, this is not covered, i checked. Isn't this on honda?

On sunday march 30 i was coming out of the grocery store and i went to my car to put my things away but when i tried to open my car with my key fob it would open so i kept trying for a few minutes until i decided to use the actual key itself to unlock and even then it only open one door. Also when i tried to open the locks manually with the buttons in the inside that didn't work either. Later that day i tried opening all the doors with my key but by the time i get to the next one it locks by itself.

The contact owns a 2011 honda cr-v. The contact stated that after exiting the vehicle and locking the doors and walking away, the security alarm inadvertently activated. The contact was unable to lock the vehicle without the alarm being activated. The cause of the failure was not determined. The local dealer honda of mansfield was notified of the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 147,000.

In may, 2014, the right rear power window quit working and would not go back up after having it completely down. I toggled the window switch a few times and the window eventually went back up, so i thought it was just a glitch.we live in arizona where the summertime is very hot, so the window was never used again due to air conditioning. The window was used recently because the weather has cooled down from the summer heat. This time, toggling the switch did not work and the window stayed in the down position completely.i took the honda cr-v to a local honda dealership which diagnosed the issue as a faulty master power window switch.i've researched and discovered there have been numerous issues with faulty master power window switches on several different honda models. There are several recalls affecting just under one million automobiles manufactured and there is a potential fire hazard according to honda. The company's recall statement says, "water, rain, or other liquid may enter the driver's window and reach the master power window switch, resulting in impaired function of the switch...switch is damaged as a result of the liquid intrusion, it may result in failure of the switch and overheating...an overheating switch may cause smoke, melting or, potentially, fire."the national highway traffic safety administration opened an investigation into a fire hazard with the master power switch on the honda cr-vs. Also, [xxx], a honda spokesman, said one person died in south africa in a fire attributed to the problem.it is apparent honda still has not properly corrected the master power window switch issue. Please continue your investigation of this issue. Honda's engineers need to re-design the switch; it's housing, and replace all potential faulty master switches to ensure consumers safety from fire/death and financial responsibility. The low tire pressure sensor comes every month or two sine november 2011. I purchased the vehicle new in january 2011. I have taken it to the honda dealer at least 5 times and get different reasons such as tire pressure is low, tire was repaired due to a nail , we couldn't find nothing wrong and we just reset it, and since you were driving in cold temperatures the light has a tendency to one. However, i took the car in just to weeks ago and was told that the tire pressures were low and somebody at work must have been deflating my tires which i find burden. Three days after this reset the light came on again. It just seem that they aren't willing to check the problem out thoroughly because i have 32kplus miles. I m willing to file a class action if possible.

The contact owns a 2011 honda cr-v. The contact stated that while parked, the vehicle became engulfed in flames. The police and fire department reported to the scene and a report was filed. The fire department was unable to determine the cause of the fire. According to the report, there were flames coming from the front driver's side wheel compartment, under the hood and from the driver's side interior door panel, under the dash board area. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure.the vehicle was destroyed. The approximate failure mileage was 9,000.

Dead battery in 4 months.

Passenger door and rear hatch door would not unlock.dealer replaced front door latch assembly.cost: latch assembly: $69.72: labor: $340.00; shop supplies: $25.00: total cost: $438.42.

Front passenger side door cannot be locked using the key fob or the central lock button on the driver's side. The only way to lock/unlock it is to do it manually. The trunk cannot be unlocked if the front passenger side door is locked. Trunk can only be unlocked when the front passenger side door is unlocked.

Vehicle in motion in all accounts. Tpms warning light intermittently on and off signaling faulty tire pressure monitoring system. Central computer replaced. Again tpms warning light intermittently came on and off. 3 wheel sensors subsequently replaced. Again tpms warning light intermittently came on and off. Told by dealer there is signal of failure to transmit to rear sensors in history - however system functioning normally at this time and there is nothing they can do now. They recommended not plugging any phone chargers or anything else into the car power jacks that could cause interference. This sounds like overall faulty electrical system to me.

The contact owns a 2011 honda cr-v. In cold weather, the vehicle failed to start. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the battery needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where the diagnosis was the same, but the dealer refused to provide a replacement battery. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 17,000. The vin was not provided.

Automatic door locks have failed on numerous occasions. All 4 doors are affected at different times, but dealer could only replicate one door failure.i am reporting only the most recent failure date but this has been intermittent problem for 3 years.

Door locks:locking mechanism unreliablelock and unlock while drivingfailure to lock (have reviewed manual to ensure all in order, including battery in key and settings for auto lock and un lock).

Driver door lock stopped working and could only be operated manually. All other door locks work fine with the power lock button and key fob. This has been an issue wi previous years of theirs same make and model.

The air bag has a problem and check enginecomes off and on

Door lock actuator problem: drivers rear door lock is in open mode to lock and unlock. Honda dealer tested and then replaced door lock actuator. Due to the same actuator problem honda settled a class action law suit for class vehicles (2007-2008 honda cr-vs and certain 2009 honda cr-vs) on september 19, 2014, by and between american honda motor co., inc. (honda) and plaintiffs in davitt v. Honda north america, inc., case no. 13-381 (d.n.j.) (the litigation). (http://settlement-claims.com/doorlock/index.aspx).

The contact owns a 2011 honda crv. The contact stated that the vehicle was started and the air bag warning light was illuminated and remained illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where he was advised that the electrical line for the heated seats had illegal ally been sliced into the air bag electrical line. The contact stated that the vehicle was purchased without heated seats and the dealer was to install the heated seats. The dealer used a sub contractor to install the heated seat and repair the wire. The failure mileage was 9 and the current mileage was 1,000.

On 15 november 2014 at 9:09pm my check engine light came on, i have a garmin gps hooked into my computer and this unit can read the diagnostic codes. The code for this check engine light occurrence was a (p2422). The problem i have with this is that this car is 3.5 years old and has 91k miles on it and this is the 6th (yes sixth) time for this failure. This code has to do with the emissions/fuel system. The car has been to 2 different dealerships to be resolved and is still not resolved. I am again taking it to the dealership for this occurrence but am running out of warranty and patience.this car has also been through 4 batteries, a water pump, fuel pump and all power steering components replaced. The message associated with code p2422 is "evaporative emission system vent valve stuck closed". Is there anyone else out there fighting these issues that can give me any insight??

Static electrical shocking when existing the vehicle after the second day of owning the vehicle.static electricity shock is more painful then ordinary static shock.visited the dealer, stated that happens with the cloth seats and no real remedy for the static electricity problems.suggested i buy anti static spray for the seats.anti static spray helps the shock to a lesser degree, but does not last long. Painful shocks come back quickly after antistatic spray no longer working. During the rain season, the shocks were less, but the dry season is back and the shocks are becoming unbearable.concern with intense shocks if they may place a person with a pacemaker defibrillator implant in danger.

The contact owns a 2011 honda cr-v. The contact stated that the locks malfunctioned and would not engage manually or by using the electronic key fob. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the technician diagnosed that the actuator was defective and needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The vin was not available. The failure mileage was 29,000 and the current mileage was 31,000.

Wife had purse in the car and the doors locked on their own.this locked her out of the vehicle.this has occurred a number of times since.

This car has killed 6 batteries in 5 years.the dealer just keeps saying everything is fine, but it frequently needs jump starts and battery replacements.there is no pattern as to weather conditions, just frequent failures at different times of year. I am reporting the most recent occurrence, but it has happened many times in 5 years. My son has been stranded many times.

Door lock acuator.doors lock and unlock rapidly while driving down the road.

I'm leaving target a basket full of groceries around 7 pm march 13-2021, using my key throb and key hole on the door i was unsuccessful unlocking the door or trunk. I managed to unlock the passenger door to get over to the driver side door to manually try to open the door and the lock did not move. I scheduled an appointment 3-23-2019 the dealership i purchased the crv and they did not seem to be aware of my door issue being common and i was never informed during any of my service appointments with them. I spoke with neal the service dept director and was told the warranty for my car ended in 2017 so i am responsible for my repairs. My service advisor charges $60 for diagnosis, then calls back and says the cost just went up to $150 because they were having a hard time opening the door, then states they will have to keep my car another day and that i would be responsible for repairs of a new door panel if they damage it in their effort to open the door and that the cost would be $1,800. I need my transportation, my car is paid in full, i'm understanding why they chose not to reveal or be dumbfounded when i mentioned according to the lawsuit it was to repair the doors rather you were experiencing the problem or not. It's their product but they don't want accountability for a known issue. I drove home with my windows down in case i needed to climb out the window. I was having an anxiety attack afraid i would be trapped in my car inside or outside. Neal says it wasn't a safety issue so it was an extended warranty vs a recall. It is definitely a safety issue on so many levels. I'm just surprised i never knew about the issue until i started experiencing the problem.

When i unlock my car with the key fob my door locks immediately by itself. Most recently my passenger side door will not lock. When i locked it with the key i was able to get it to stay locked. However when i returned to unlock my car i was locked out . No doors would unlock! i had to use the key fob and push unlock while the key was inserted in the lock. I can hear them clicking randomly while driving. There was s class action settlement but of course the deadline to make a claim was nov of 2015. My locks just started this issue 2weeks ago. You would think if it's an issue for certain years and models that honda would make it right!!

The contact owns a 2011 honda cr-v. While driving various speeds, the vehicle stalled and all the warning indicators illuminated. While in traffic, the contact powered off the engine. The vehicle was restarted and the contact was able to drive; however, the failure recurred several times. In addition, while at a stop light and attempting to depress the accelerator pedal, the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was taken to flow honda (2600 peters creek pkwy, winston-salem, nc 27127, (336) 785-3380) where a diagnostic testing was completed, but no failure code was found. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and did not assist. The approximate failure mileage was 96,000.

Intermitten noises from the right rear lock motor/window while driving.

I purchased my 2011 honda crv brand new from our local honda dealership. I have been happy with it until last month. I began to notice that whenever i came to a stop or slowed down below 10 mph and then accelerated, my doors would make the locking sound even though they were already locked. It happens repeatedly as i slow down/stop and then accelerate. Then today (3/4/2014) the problem escalated. I came out of the grocery store and couldn't unlock the cargo door with my key fob. I noticed that the left passenger door didn't unlock as well. I pressed the button a few more times and they wouldn't unlock. The driver door, front passenger and right rear passenger doors did unlock. So then i pressed the unlock button on the driver door armrest but the cargo door and the left passenger door still didn't unlock. I had to put my groceries in through the right rear passenger door since the cargo door doesn't have a way to open manually from the inside, nor manually with a key from the outside. If this problem gets worse, this can pose a very serious safety problem. What if there's an emergency and your car doesn't unlock? i just did some research on the problem to see if it was something simple that could be fixed.a quick online search brought my attention to countless complaints of door lock failures on crv's. Seems this is an issue that's been going on for years (at least 2007-2011). I was shocked to find out honda hasn't issued a recall. This is a widespread and serious problem!i called my honda dealership to find out the approximate cost to replace the door lock actuators. This isn't a cheap fix!they would charge $180 labor for each door they would need to fix on top of the cost of each door lock actuator which ranges from $59 to $75 each, depending on which door the part is for. I would need 2, possibly 3, replaced so that would be about $500 to almost $750.

Tpms system on a number of occasions thetire pressure monitoring system (tpms)has faulted out while driving on the highway. Each time the fault resulted in the traction control system turning on with no way of turning it off which essentially means you are in all wheel drive mode even on the highway. I brought it in to the dealer who basically said that the problem is due to the tpms system faulting out due to radio frequency interference caused by a cell phone charger cord plugged into 12v accessory outlets in the front of the vehicle when the car is driven more than 49 mph for over 20 minutes . The radio interference affects most honda cars. Honda warranty does not cover the cost to reset the tpms system.

Back in october 2015, my husband was driving me to the airport at 5 am. As we approached to turn onto the highway, the power steering died and the electrical system turned off. We were stuck in the middle of a dangerous intersection with no way to fix the car.we could not shift the car into neutral to push it off the road. The police came and some good samaritans. Someone found a way to manually pop something off to force the car to shift and that's how we got the vehicle off the road. I had my 3 year old son with me at the time too. It was an incredibly dangerous situation. While i was away, the mechanic shop looked at my car and said it was the computer. They said it was like a 2k fix. We had it towed to the millenium honda because that's the dealership of purchase. Millenium honda fixed it and said it was the ignition fuse. Now it's april and out of normal use (my car is 2011 and only 54k mile), the car won't start. It was fully functioning the night before and nothing was left on.stationary in the driveway, it would not start.it's not the battery because that was changed in march. No sound when you turn the key. Nothing was left on. Today, waiting for dealership to come to a conclusive resolution to the situation.this has shaken my belief in the reliability of my car. Whether it's a computer problem or whatever, it is putting my family and i in danger if it does not function properly. Power steering or electrical failure is not ok. It could have happened on the road. What then? first incident 10/31/15 and now this one 4/17/16.

I was pulling out of parking spot in reverse in a crowded movie theater parking lot when my 2011 honda cr-v accelerated at full speed into the cement pole behind me.confused, i put the car in 'drive' to pull myself away from the pole, when the car once again accelerated at full speed forwardtoward the spot i was original in hitting and continually pushing a parked mini-van, which in turn pushed and kept pushing the parked car next to it.in an attempt to stop the car, i put the car in reverse and once again went in reverse, crashing into the same cement pole. Despite the fact that i bore down on the brakes repeatedly, the car did not stop until i put the car in 'park".immediately thereafter, i turned the car off.this all occurred in seconds and was terrifying...i had no control of the vehicle.witnesses in the movie theater parking lot were stopped in their tracks hearing the loud roar of the engine.

Takata recall. I took my vehicle in to have the airbag replaced and the day i got on it back, 29jun16, the abs/vsa system had shutdown on me. I took it back to the dealership immediately and wasn't able to get it taken care of since the technicians were gone. Two days later they were able to take a look at it and they said it seems to be a faulty sensor or wiring issue. After having the sensor replaced the system still shutdown on me. As of yesterday, and several trips to the dealership, they determined that the vsa module had failed. I did some research and discovered that vsa module failure has occurred before that led up to a lawsuit and recall on vsa modules. I don't believe i'm the only one out there still having vsa module failure issues. Is this still a problem you guys are getting complaints about? is there any information you guys can provide to me regarding this matter? i've already notified honda of usa about this and am now notifying you guys of the problem. The system has shutdown on me at random. Sometimes it happens when i first start the car up and it's still in park and other times it has happened while driving down city streets and highways whether i'm braking or not.

I was driving my 2011 honda cr-v last night and was slowing to take an exit off of a freeway.it felt as though the brakes were failing as i was having to step on them really hard to slow down.as i approached the stoplight at the end of the exit ramp, i felt as though i was not going to stop.i put the cr-v in neutral and heard the engine rev really hard and saw the tachometer reading jump over to 5000 rpm.within seconds, the engine slowed back down to idle speed and i managed to drive the last mile to my home without incident.

I have a honda cr-v 2011.in october of 2016 i took my car to the dealership because the oil light had come on.they told me my car was 4 1/2 quarts low.they told me to come back after a bit and have them check the oil again.when i took it back they told me my car was using oil with no leaks.they have two options to rebuild existing motor with new pistons and rings or a rebuilt motor.i have talked with mike who is a rep from honda.he has told me that i am out of warranty and that there are no recalls for my vin number.i came across a recall from an article in consumer reports back in 2015.this article describes exactly what my car is doing and says honda is extending the warranty for eight years or 125,000 miles from the original purchase.i bought my car brand new in november of 2011. It has 85,000 miles on it.this article also sites honda service bulletin 12-089 for cr-vs (12-087 for accord).

Vehicle bought new in 2011 and only one owner. In early 2015, my vehicle went from having my oil changed between 5000 and 7000 miles to barely making it to 3000. Vehicle manufacture recommends synthetic oil and is the only type of oil that has ever been used for this vehicle. No oil was leaking form vehicle and no evidence of oil leakage under hood when checked. Oil changed multiple times with same result. Information was received from honda regarding extension on warranty due to possible high oil consumption & was stated that oil consumption test could be completed at honda dealership. Honda dealership began test in october 2015 and was completed in february 2016. .8 quarts used after first 1000 miles, 1quart used after 2000miles and .8quarts after 3000miles. After each check, 1 quart oil was added by honda dealership. After third check, i was told by service manager that this did not honda specifications to warrant rebuild to correct problem in engine causing high oil consumption. Was told that this was not normal but vehicle was still safe to drive. In fall 2016, i contacted dealership again regarding issue & also had two lights (check engine light & traction light) come on at the same time. Honda agreed to complete another oil consumption test & check lights. Was told that timing chain had been stretched and needed to be replaced. Honda service manager would not confirm that timing chain was stretched due to high oil consumption even though research & other mechanics suggest otherwise. Honda corporation was contacted multiple times & will not comply with returning calls, answering questions, etc. Different answers are given from different people within honda (honda corporation & dealership). Was told that car should not be driven until timing chain fixed, but oil consumption test can not be done if vehicle not driven?

The car was sitting on a hill, and i turned the key in the on position. I then turned the key to start, and the engine did not turn over, and the cab lost all power. So i took it to auto zone, and they said that nothing was wrong with it.

Hi. I have a 2011 honda crv. Vin # [xxx]. It has a little over 98,500 miles on it. I bought it from schlossmann honda city 3450 s 108th st, milwaukee, wi 53227.it was a leased vehicle before i purchased it. I have noticed since owning it that it consumes oil. I have been doing some researching on this problem and have found out that honda motors have been reported with this such problem. My question to honda;1.how long is this warranty on my vehicle for motor and drivetrain? 2.how do i prove that it consumes oil, since i have no prior records of service from the past? i do all my own work on vehicles, ie; oil changes, air filter changes, brakes & rotors replacement, spark plugs, and even adding air to the tires and pumping gas. You don't need to be a certified mechanic to do any of this work. I'm not saying that everyone is capable of doing this kind of work, but i feel i am. I have always worked myown vehicles since i was 16 years old. I have 42 years of experience with maintenance of vehicles.i have proof that it consumes oil, as i have been documenting it myself. It is (1) quart of oil down in 500 miles since i just changed it. I usually have to add (3) quarts before my oil change is even at 50% life left on the oil life maintenance display on the dash. I end up changing the oil early, (before 3000 miles or 0% oil life) of recommended schedule oil change. I use quality valvoline or mobil 1 oil, sae 0 ? 20wfull synthetic oil. I also use fran oil filters ph7317. I don't use cheap oil, oil filters, air filters or inferior products in my vehicles. The same goes for my harley davidson.i look forward to your response on this matter.sincerely,[xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

The vehicle has been running rough in the highway and rough when idling. We have chosen to keep it because we have trust in honda's reliability. Five days ago, the car was running and the whole family was in it. All of a sudden, its engine sounded like 'junk' which never happened before. We were all nervous and confused and we were about 20 miles away from home. Our safety in the car was uncertain and the roads going home had varying speeds between 30 to 65 mi/hr. We know today that the engine has severe problem due to high oil consumption which is extremely disappointing.

Tamara recall my car has started burning oil at about 82,000 miles. I am putting a quart in about every 1500 miles. It seams like it is gradually burning more oil i just had to add 2 quarts and this is the second time adding between its last oils change. I have oil changed at dealership every 4-5 thousand miles. I have seen this is a problem with this year cars but mine has not fallen under any recalls i am wondering why? this car is in michigan i warm the engine up before driving. I have had the car in and looked at it is not leaking oil it is burning it.

The contact owns a 2011 honda cr-v. The contact stated that the vehicle was burning oil excessively. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The technician performed an oil consumption test and diagnosed that the pistons rings and v-tec actuator needed to be replaced. The failure mileage was 66,000.

My honda is rapidly burning oil daily.i am obligated to check and fill my oil daily to avoid any damage to my engine.

Interstate highway driving at highway speed 70mph up an incline or hilly area would cause the 2011 crv engine to hesitate accelerating, causing a high rpm rev but no speed increase, i.e. The engine would struggle to keep the same speed requiring the driver to drive at lower speeds like 60mph to avoid the excessive rpm. This potentially is a danger to other vehicles on the highway interstate. Honda is already aware of this and has issued a technical service bulletin #10-077 for dealers to update the pcm pgm-fi software to the latest version.however given 2011 vehicles are no longer in warranty, the owner is often forced to pay dealers 1 full hour of diagnostics fee instead of the 0.3 hour flat rate labor outlined in honda's tsb for in-warranty vehicles.

Excessive oil consumption.check engine light came on and vehicle required 2 quarts of engine oil.vehicle only has 62,000 miles on it.honda claims that 1 quart per 1,000 miles is normal oil consumption!

We purchased a honda certified vehicle in jan 2015.after 4,000 miles the oil light flashed on periodically.we checked the oil and the dipstick was dry.i added two quarts of oil,it still showed only half on the dip stick and we took it to honda.they charged us for an oil change and said they needed to do a consumption test.after two 1,000 miles consumption checks, it was burning a quart of oil in each check.the last check, we took a picture of the dipstick after sitting overnight before we took it to honda.it was a quart low and the service department told us that it was barely low.they lied to us.they also told us this is normal consumption.we called honda directly and can't seem to get anyone to listen to us.

Compressor not working for air conditioning .

The engine light is always on i brought to them and it and they return it to me its still on i dont know whats wrong. No my ac i also blowing hot air instead of cold many complains but they dont do anything we need help.air bag i called they said they will call but nobody called fir recall.

The vtc actuator is an issue on this car.the "recall" listed for this vin is 36,000 miles or 3 years, whichever comes first. This is criminal as no one will experience this issue within that time frame.it lets the manufacturer off the hook.honda knows this is an issue as it affects many makes and models of honda cars (there is even a class action lawsuit for this particular issue for the 2014 honda crv).the car grinds at the start, sometimes not starting at all, due to high oil consumption because of the faulty vtc actuator.the cost to replace this part is $750 and does not even solve the problem.it has been documented that the problem can often reoccur after another 10,000 miles.we were once planning on staying loyal honda customers, but this fraudulence has convinced us to switch to a different manufacturer and tell everyone we know to do the same.

Liberty honda is refusing to perform work under a warranty extension notice titled "sticking piston rings resulting in high engine oil consumption."i received the notice in august of 2015.since then i have been given the runaround by liberty honda employees over and over about why they won't fix the problem.despite proven oil loss, and a lit up oil light liberty honda service crew continues to fabricate reasons why they cannot perform the work in the warranty extension.today, the service manager luis/louis was very unsympathetic to my 2-year long ordea.he said, " you haven't dealt with me yet"which not only sounded like a threat, but also sounded like code for: "i'm just going to put you through more never-ending tests and not fix the problem."that proved true.despite a svc rep named shanice arce promising me (on 10/26/17) that they would implement the warrantyext/pison ring fix, this proved to be another lie. When i contacted them today, after driving another 1,000 - per liberty's neverending test demands, liberty honda's service dept. Once again told me i would have to undergo more tests.it never ends!when problems surface pertaining to oil consumption, liberty's service people always come up with an excuse why they won't do the work required under the sticking ring warranty extension.on 7/13/17, another svc rep (in a very perfunctory, unfriendly manner - wish i had his name)told me that liberty would not perform the work - even though my crv was at least two qts down.additionally, they seem to be bringing me in just to charge me for something else.i've had to needlessly take off time from work for liberty's runaround.and their shuttle service once did not pick up me up at the end of the dayhttps://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/vehiclecomplaint/# - - until i spoke with sales 2 hours later (8pm).

I was fully stopped with my foot on the brake at an intersection. My engine accelerated and the car bucked. I pushed my foot harder on the brake to keep from entering the intersection.

My car used to run 24mpg. Now drop down to the 15-18mpg. I don't know what is going on? also the air conditioner run on summer will be hot air out.

Our 2011 honda cr-v is part of the extended warranty issue with honda vehicles for excessive oil consumption.we have our car serviced regularly at a local honda dealership and go by the oil life monitor when it reaches approximately 15-20%.we had the car serviced in december, 2015.on a relatively short trip in early april, 2016 we noticed something odd about the car.took the car into the regular place when we returned to find out it was completely out of oil.we had oil changed again in august, 2016 -- again completely out of oil.we took the car numerous times to honda for protocol testing of oil usage at measured mile markers.was told repeatedly that the car was not within protocol limits for fixing, even though it completely went through the oil twice in a span of eight months.the car was serviced again on october 17, 2016 and we have put in 2.3 quarts of oil since then.in the protocol testing starting august 10 to october 17, the car used 2.07 quarts of oil.we are getting very close to the 125,000 extended warranty level and it is so frustrating to know there is a problem, but honda will not stand behind its product.we also have a 2004 honda cr-v that we have never had to put a drop of oil in -- just regular service to it.we don't know who else to talk to about this, and have been completely dissatisfied with the answers from the local honda.we were loyal honda customers -- now we aren't.

At times when i lightly apply the brakes, it feels like it is trying to accelerate instead of slow down. It does this for a few seconds. It's kind of like a quick rev of the engine. Also when i lightly apply brakes, i feel a small clunk or a quick grip. Then it lets loose. It feels like it is coming from the rear right side. It happens at various times.

Was at very low speed and attempting to park my car in a mall parking spot.as i tried to slow down further and park the car and turning into the spot, the car accelerated even though i applied maximum pressure to the brakes.the car continued to accelerate and i side swiped one car on my left and rammed the car in front of my space---my car continued to accelerate. The car finally stopped because of the impact to the other vehicle and i finally could turn the car off as it was still running. This is the second time this has happened.both instances were very similar as i was parking the car in a space at low speed. The first instance was very minor (occurred in mar 2013) but this instance is very major--serious damage to my car and the other cars--i was lucky i did not get hurt in either case--something is wrong with this car and maybe 2011 cr-vs.

Rodents ate wire and split harness.

I was positioned at an intersection, waiting to make a left turn in heavy traffic. Since this vehicle is more powerful than the one i had, pulling out into traffic didn't concern me that much. Well, it does now. It went just enough into the intersection to get me into a near crash situation. It just totally bogged down. Throttle position sensor maybe? i have talked to four people with 2010 and 2011 crv's and they say the same thing. I love this car, but this has to be addressed. I have had no other problems except for this. This is a real downer for me in relation to this car. Help us honda.

On march 11, 2018 i backed into my driveway, turned off the engine and parked next to my porch. Before going into the house, my grandson told me to look at the car which was smoking under the hood. Within seconds the smoke turned dark gray. The fire department arrived in 3 minutes. I could see fire underneath the engine on the bottom at the driveway. The front door windows were busted to put out the fire on the dashboard, too.

Our 2011 honda crv is using 1.4qts of oil per 1,325 miles.we have had it to the dealer 3-4 times checking for leaks and cracks and found nothing and stated that this within normal honda ranges in oil consumption.the dealer finally did an oil consumption test on the vehicle and asked honda corporate if they would cover the repairs to replace the pistons and rings under the 8 year, 100,000 mile exteneded warranty that honda has purposed as a "fix."corporate denied the dealer's request to fix the repair under the warranty.i called corporate myself and the case manager took the information down, but was denied again by the same executive that talked to the dealer with the same response. I questioned the "warranty" and stated that if it was a true warranty, they would correct the problem.my guess is that they don't have a fix for this issue and they chose the route of ignoring the problem.this is unacceptable for a 4 year old vehicle to keep adding oil at the owner's expense and just plain frustrating!

Poor acceleration and pickup when applying gas. Worse in hotter weather.there is a honda service bulletin for thus problem on same year vehicle for computer firmware update to fix the problem, 10-077 tsb, but my local honda dealer refuses to do it. Says my vin doesn't fall into it, even know the symptoms are exactly what it fixes. Frustrated.no pickup is really dangerous when trying to get on interstate and it is my daughter's car.

The contact owns a 2011 honda cr-v. While driving various speeds, the wrench warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the sloane honda dealer located in philadelphia pa, for a third oil consumption test. The contact was informed that the levels were perfect and did not need rings. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the technician used a dipstick and informed the contact that there was no oil in the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that she needed to provide a two year history of the oil consumption. The approximate failure mileage was 78,102.

The contact owns a 2011 honda cr-v. While driving approximately 15 mph, the check engine indicator illuminated. The contact checked the oil and discovered that there was none in the vehicle. The contact took the vehicle to heritage honda belair (1800 belair rd, suite a, fallston, md 21047, (410) 343-5644) where it was diagnosed that the piston rings needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 89,000. The vin was unknown.

Oil consumption problem - took my car in for routine oil change.96662 miles.oil life at 15% per manual oil maintenance.exclusive honda (not a dealer) found no oil in my car.sent me to a honda dealer immediately to take care of.since they are not a honda dealer they cannot do anything to my car or may negate the extended warranty.the honda dealer found a seal oil leak stated it was probably due to the high miles.i went back after 1000 miles per the requirements for oil consumption problem.they told me that the oil level & use was correct for 1000 miles.oil life was at 80%.i planned to change my oil every 5000 to avoid this problem.however i am on my 3rd time to have the honda dealer to check for oil consumption problems.i will be sending all the complaints separately.i am notifying all that i can in hopes to have this problem fixed by honda.

I was driving the vehicle on my town's streets around 35 mph as usual when my vehicle's check engine light started flashing and i was unable to accelerate past 20 mph.i immediately took the vehicle to the autozone in town and they stated it was an engine misfire.the vehicle was taken to the nearest car repair shop as a honda dealership was over 25 miles away and i was told that it was an engine misfire in cylinder 1.they are still trying to find out what caused the misfire.why was crv's not included under the class lawsuit with honda?

Safety issue with 2011 honda crv engine periodically maintaining revs or speeding up when trying to stop. Must hold brake down hard, go to neutral, turn car off, and restart car to fix problem. Honda says no fault codes are reported and so does nothing.

The engine suddenly accelerated in a parking garage. The brakes slowed the car on the first acceleration, but almost immediately the engine again revved-- to a shrill, loud sound like that of a jet engine. Result : car rammed into a support pillar in the garage; airbag deployed, and i was wearing my seat belt. Car may be totaled, still awaiting estimate from insurance. I spent 4 days in the hospital for surgery on my broken arm, multiple bruises and swollen face, and will not be able to drive for 3-4 months.

I bought a new 2011 honda cr v and have a serious safety issue. The engine maintained its speed or accelerated on four separate occasions when i applied the brake and tried to stop. The worst incident occurred when i tried to come to a stop at a red light with cars in front of me. I applied brake and car stopped but engine raced. I had to apply very strong pressure to brake to hold car in place. Engine was racing and car was pulling forward. I shifted to neutral, engine continued to race and then i heard a loud knocking sound come from engine like a washing machine makes when it is out of balance. I was very scared. I turned engine off and then at green light turned engine on and it was ok. This happened four separate times when the car had just over 200 miles on it, just over 400 miles, 723 miles, and 819 miles. I did not have my foot on both gas and brake, the mats are the honda mats that come with car and are fastened to the floor and were not on the gas. This really happened, very scary. Reported to honda and took car in twice. Honda said there were no codes and the brakes looked ok. They said to call american honda which i did. I reported it as a serious safety issue.honda said someone would get in touch with me the next day. Its been a week and no one has contacted me. I have owned the car for 40 days and driven it less than 850 miles and this has happened four times and been in the shop twice. Honda says they cannot reproduce and that i should just let them know when it happens again. They have not tested anything with the idle or the throttle sticking are not concerned with my safety.

The contact owns a 2011 honda cr-v. The contact stated while driving various speeds he heard a very loud noise coming from the engine. The vehicle was inspected by a road side assistance mechanic who advised him that the engine bolt had detached from the engine. The vehicle was inspected by a dealer who advised him that the engine bolt needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and offered no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 5,000.updated 07/08/11updated 07/18/11

I was driving out of a parking lot of an outdoor shopping mall, suddenly the car did not move at all. I shifted to l1 to see how it would react. No movement. Shifted to l2, still the car did not budge at all. Finally, i shifted to r, then, it moved backward. I put the shift into d, and then o.k. I remember, in the past, the car hesitated to start out after a stop at intersections. I contacted the local dealer. They say they cannot do much because the problem has to be replicated to diagnose it. I told them, i or any one could replicate the problem. Anyway, i told them i am bringing in my car tomorrow. But i am afraid if the same problem happens on the busy street on my way to the dealer.i will appreciate to let me know if any one had experienced the problem. If no one has reported so far, i would like this problem registered on your data base. Thank you.

Three times dangerous and unwanted acceleration when braking at stop light.engine severely revved up, had to put vehicle into neutral.took it into honda dealership where we purchased the vehicle.they had their mechanic check it out and could find nothing wrong.the next day we had a meeting with the district service manager and he had it rechecked and he took it for a test drive.he could not recreate the problem and therefore couldn't do anything more.since they couldn't diagnose a problem, he said to continue driving it to see if the situation recurred.i am now afraid to drive my new six month old car and have lost faith in its reliability.

The contact owns a 2011 honda cr-v. The contact stated that hot air emitted from the air conditioning vents. The air conditioning clutch and coil were believed to have overheated and failed. Once the clutch and coil cooled down, the air conditioner began to function correctly. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 71,000.

The design of the headlights do not allow visibility on the roadway at night more than about 150 feet.i have changed bulbs several times but that is not the problem.the cr-v housing configuration does not allow lighting to be adjusted for any distance.this problem has been well documented in forums all over the internet for years and nothing has been done.(just google "honda cr-v headlight problem")i own a tundra truck, and a ford escape, and the lighting going down my alley at night is perfect, but when i make the same drive down the alley with the honda cr-v, i can only see 3 houses in front of me!for years i have refused to drive this car at night, and it is about time that honda remedy the headlight design so that one can drive this car safely.i wish i could prove this simple fact to someone, but no one at honda will take me up on this simple test to prove there is something drastically wrong with the headlight design.i have considered aftermarket headlights, but this is something that should be seriously addressed.i really wonder how many accidents and fatalities have occurred from this problem.i have brought this to the attention of several honda dealerships (san antonio and san angelo), and they just suggest putting in a brighter type bulb, which has done nothing to remedy.it is entirely the design of the headlights.please, this is a legitimate and real safety hazard, and it is something honda has been ignoring for years on several of the cr-v year models.call me [xxx].been complaining for years, but for the first time, someone told me about reporting this to you.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

The contact owns a 2011 honda cr-v. The contact stated the low beams were defective. The low beam do not give enough light and have made it impossible for the contact to drive the vehicle at night. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who performed a diagnostic test and stated that the low beams were adjusted by the manufacturer and they were unable to correct the failure. The manufacturer stated the low beams meet the department of transportations standard and could not be adjusted. The vehicle was not repaired. The day after i bought my cr-v, the check engine light came on, approximately 50 miles on the car. The dealership tested the light, and found it to be a faulty ftp sensor, which they replaced off of another cr-v on the lot. Since the day after i bought my car, i have had the phantom check engine light coming on and off about every month. I brought my car into another honda dealership in march 2012, and they found theftp sensor was causing the check engine light to go on, but could not identify where in the sensor was bad. They cleared the code, and all was fine for about another month. The light came back on again a few weeks later, but when i got to the dealership, the light had gone off as i pulled into service. April 6, the check fuel cap light was flashing(which seems to happen everytime the light is about to go on) and the check engine light went on april 7. Took it back to the dealership again for the 4th time.they said i had yet another bad ftp sensor, and replaced it again, this time with a new part in stock. This has been an ongoing issue since the car was bought, and is effecting my gas mileage. Right before the light goes on, my mileage goes from 27 mpg to around 22mpg.

The car was in an indoor parking lot.driver backed up out of its parking space at a low speed and bumped into a wall behind the parking spot.at that point, the car jumped into drive and began accelerating without driver doing anything.driver applied the brake, but the car continued to accelerate and hit a cement pylon.the car bounced off the cement pylon and the car continued to accelerate forward, even though driver was applying the brake.the car hit the cement pylon again and then another car.the car only stopped when driver put it into park and turned it off.

The car was sitting on a hill, and i turned the key in the on position. I then turned the key to start, and the engine did not turn over, and the cab lost all power. So i took it to auto zone, and they said that nothing was wrong with it.

My car used to run 24mpg. Now drop down to the 15-18mpg. I don't know what is going on? also the air conditioner run on summer will be hot air out.

Door locks:locking mechanism unreliablelock and unlock while drivingfailure to lock (have reviewed manual to ensure all in order, including battery in key and settings for auto lock and un lock).

Wife had purse in the car and the doors locked on their own.this locked her out of the vehicle.this has occurred a number of times since.

At 125,000 miles my transmission went out. $3,600 for a new transmission??? that is way above other model suv i have seen. There are six versions for this one model of suv, that is crazy. Not to mention to remove it adds a ot of cost vs ford or chevy ( this is the word of the repair shop)

The manufacturer was made aware of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was unavailable.

Thank you.

The factory supplied seat belts are not long enough to fit our son and honda refuses to provide an extender. Consequently our son must ride (illeagally in iowa) without a seat belt on.

I am getting a seat belt code 27-10 and 28-10 which i am told could affect the air bags going off.

Front passenger seats rocks. It is not seated firmly in tracks. Honda and dealer say this is a "characteristic of the vehicle" and not a defect they can or will fix.

Takata recall , air bag inflator replaced at dealer. Drivers seat sliding when taking off or stopping.dealer diagnosis said front drivers seat needs upper and lower bushings.noticed this problem close to the end of first two years, only if husband drives it.later with all drivers.paid $53.32 on oct 27 2016 for diagnostics.

The front seat head restraints in the 2011 honda cr-v are tilted too far forward, resulting in severe neck strain followed by headaches.while honda suggests positioning the seat tilted back, this does not alleviate the problem and results in a safety issue since my wife then has difficulty seeing over the hood and grasping the steering wheel.a re-design of the head restraint is required so it does not force the head forward and down.

At 2 years, after 19,000 miles of normal suburban driving, loud grating and clunking noises and repetitive vibrations came from the brakes when driving at a low speed [3-5 mph] and became louder when brakes applied. Dealer said rotors severely rusted and had to be replaced [oem] for $1,000. Said resurfacing could not be done due to severity of rust. 30 days later same thing happened. Again all four brake rotors were replaced [oem]. Now 12 months later again have rusty brake rotors with harsh grating and clunking noises. Car is routinely parked in large garage in high-rise apartment building more than 99% of nights. This makes three full sets of four rotors after 19,000 miles.dealer asks if i park in damp location, but the second floor garage is never damp and not near window. Dealer says he has no idea; maybe chinese use bogus materials. But these are honda oem. Brake rotors should certainly last more than 19,000 miles [first episode] and three full sets should last more than 28,000 miles and 38 months. Brake rotors that rust so quickly when not abused and are so damaged that resurfacing is not even possible must surely be considered a significant safety issue. If the rotors become this thin this fast, the brakes may very well fracture during emergency braking.

I hit brakes hard due to a hole in the highway that was hard to see. The brakes locked down and the car violently went side to side and became difficult to steer-almost impossible. I finally got it to go right to the shoulder and onto grassy area and got it to stop. At the time was traveling about 55 mph-the posted limit.

When braking for a stop light, the engine suddenly accelerated. Eventually, it stopped. This has happened multiple time intermittently.

Pulled into turning lane off highway. In preparing to turn, i pressed on the brakes but instead of slowing down, the car accelerated.pressed brake to floor but felt no resistance (soft brake). Pressed emergency brake to the floor and threw car into neutral. Luckily i was going slow enough and there were no other cars coming so i was able to make the turn even though brakes were not working. I turned the wheel quickly onto a straight away and released the emergency brake. I pressed the brakes and they worked fine. Second time this has happened where car accelerated instead of stopping.

This is in reference to what we believe is a product defect in our 2011 honda cr-v ex that has occurred two times to date. One occurrence was july 13. 2012 with my husband and i experienced the second while driving the car on may 23, 2013.summary of the occurrences to date, almost identical in both cases:while going to park the car, the car accelerates dramatically while we were braking. The car would not stop until they hit something, i.e. Our garage door and a concrete wall in a parking lot.on the first occurrence, we contacted both honda and our insurance companies.after their inspection, the claimed there was nothing that they could find wrong with the car. We had no choice but to take the car back because it was leased and their trade proposition was cost prohibitive.we drove it and the second incident occurred. Now the car is parked and we do not know exactly what to do.if we take it to honda, we are fearful that they will not acknowledge there is something wrong with the car or make another temporary adjustment to the car and we will again be in a similar situation while driving andcause serious injury to ourselves and/or others. We asked for legal advice only to be told if there is no injury they cannot do anything!please advise if there is anyaction we can take in regard to this serious problem.

I was accelerating from an on ramp to enter the highway.after i was in the flow of traffic, i hit my brakes to keep pace with the traffic.my brake pedal would only move slightly and the engine was reving.i moved the shifter to neutral and the engine was still revving.i then hit the button on the side of the gear shift to put the car in d3 and continue to try the brakes.the brakes finally started working i put on my 4 way flashers and moved to the side of the highway and put the car in park.as i sat there i kept testing the brakes to insure the pedal would move toward the floor and kept revving the engine to be sure it would slow down when i removed my foot from the gas.i did call the local honda service center and they said unless they were able to replicate the problem, they would not be able to say what the cause was.they did ask if i had floor mats.i do have floor mat, but i do check them to be sure they are pulled back and not under the pedals.

The contact owned a 2011 honda cr-v. While stopped at a stop light to make a left turn, the vehicle suddenly accelerated to approximately 20 mph while the brake pedal was depressed. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle crashed into a nearby fence and came to a stop in a cluster of bushes. The air bags deployed. The vehicle was towed and deemed destroyed. A police report was filed. The contact sprained her right hand and received medical attention. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure; however, a case was not opened. The approximate failure mileage was 20,000.

While driving, the air conditioner unit quit.at 70k miles, the air conditioner pulley, belt, motor had to be replaced

Car was at a full stop while waiting for the light to change to proceed and while my foot was on the brake the car jumped forward hitting the car in front of me causing damage.i contacted honda in california and was advised they had complaints but not enough to warrant a recall on the situation.i do check to see if any recall has been issued.car facts has many of similar complaints on file and nothing has been acknowledged yet.

Left rear caliper pin stuck resulting in catastrophic failure of pads and brake drum. Dealer unable to explain how or why and upon completion of repair stated a new pin was not needed.

Very early failure of power steering rack and pinion. The dealer/honda did not provide a better mechanism to identify the issue. I think honda power steering is a very defective part that they are selling to customers and charging hefty dollars $1750 to repair at the customer's expense.

Within 30 days from buying my car from a dealer it started making a sound like it was going over a really loud rumble strip and it shakes the steering wheel and can be felt in the passenger seat. I bought this car in september 2017 and to date 4/22/2018 i have had it back to the dealer 6 times with the same issue. I have been told it is just trying to shift between gears or there is nothing wrong with it. It dose not do it all the time so i dont know it they have heard it or not they have only let me go on one test drive with them. The only way to make it stop is to speed up or slow down. This isnt safe at all.it will happen on all road surfaces so it's not just the type of road i am driving on.

Was told by honda that the power steering rake is leaking and needs to be fixed or car could lose power steering.

Upon taking this vehicle in for its 90,000 mile maintenance service, the honda certified mechanics informed us that the power steering rack was leaking fluid and would not pass new york state safety inspection.the exact mileage of the car was at 91653.we had to replace the rack system at a cost to us of over $1,000.00. This system failure should not have occurred at this stage of the car's life.i would like an investigation initiated to see if a recall is warranted. Some online research has shown me that other 2011 crv owners have experienced this exact same problem.

The contact owns a 2011 honda cr-v. The contact stated that while driving approximately 50 mph, the steering wheel began vibrating excessively. The traction also diminished when the contact was driving over a wet surface. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and the dealer for diagnosis. The mechanic stated that the tires had worn unevenly due to a vehicle failure. The dealer was unable to diagnose the failure. The technician suggested replacing the tires. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 19,000.

2011 honda crv 4x4was going at 52 mph and trying to brake and steering wheel was shaking really bad.also when driving at 65+ mph this car steering really shakes badly.-complaint it to honda motor / dealer where car was purchased but no real help from anyone to fix the problem.- all 4-tires are worn un-evenly at 19000 miles - dealer / honda motor is not willing to response back or send us email back to acknowledge our complaint about the tires.- they are saying that this is not their problem, i should be complaining to the tire company.

After making a right turn the car pulls to the right, honda calls this memory steering but in bad weather the front has a loss of traction.vibration starting around 60mph.tires were change, front end aligned but the vibration still remains.feels like a shaft problems.a complaint is file with the bbb.

I have noticed the steering becoming more and more stiff. It will not return to the straight position unless you forcefully turn the steering wheel. This occurs while in motion on highways or city streets.

With 28,000 miles now on our 2011 crv that we bought new all 4 tires were worn out with 13,550 miles on them, and had always had a very slight front end bump. After replacing all 4 tires the bump was so bad we went straight back to the tire dealer and tire pressure and balance was rechecked and was fine the tires are firestone. At 100 miles on the tires we went back and had the tires rechecked and rotated with no improvement in the bump. The honda dealership could only say the original tires were a very soft compound as the new ones are a better tire and does not ride as soft. This dealership has since changed owners and there is no record of them checking the car. He crv exl now has 25000 miles and tires are wearing great but still have the bump.

My car was 10 days old and the bumper started peeling. Took me a lot of jumping hoops, phone calls, letters, and days off work to get it repaired.it was really a nightmare.6 months later 6/22/2012 the rear bumper started peeling.they fixed it without any problems .less than another month now it is peeling at the lift gate under the handle to open and they want to see it and see what it is doing then see if they approve it and back to jumping hoops on a vehicle that is less than 9 months old.there is something wrong with the paint on these.i understand that the paint doesn't stick well to plastic but i have lots of dings i have had to fill it chips very easily also.i have a toyota with almost 300k that doesn't have the looks of my new car that stays parked due to me being scared to drive b/c it might peel or chip.this is nuts.i want it fixed and or traded and don't want to have to keep going back and forth this is ridiculous with a new car to have to lose pay to go 150 miles to have my car looked at then schedule the appt 150 miles and then 150 miles to get it, but also take a day off work for both.it is loss of pay, cost of gas, time and is getting really tiring!

While driving on un-crowded highway sunroof loudly exploded and rained glass into and outside the vehicle.highway speed of approximately 65 mph outdoor temperature approximately 40 degrees.passengers uninjured but very scared.glass was blown out from inside to out.no indication of an impact was present.no other vehicles were present to cause impact.vehicle was taken to local dealership where they explained it must have been a "tiny rock"that caused the impact so they would not repair or replace the defective part except at the owners expense.serious safety issue with refusal directly from american honda and local dealership to remedy.

The left rear door and the trunk of my honda crv 2011 won't open anymore.they are completely locked despite trying multiple times to unlock them manually.

I was parking my car and while applying brake, the car accelerated very fast and fortunately there were hedges which stopped the car. This is scary and we stopped driving this car for now until we fix this problem.

Rust hole found in unibody at passenger's side rear where trailing arm bolts to vehicle in front of passenger's side rear wheel. Because this is so close to the bolt for the trailing arm, this is an immediate safety issue.hole originally there but rust caused it to enlarge significantly.the trialing arm could break at any point and cause a severe crash.i was about to go on a long road trip and very likely this could have broken.the issue was discovered by my local mechanic during a routine oil change and tire rotation.there were no warnings, messages, or symptoms.after researching i found that this exact issue is being recalled in canada but not in the united states.i live in vermont and experience the same harsh winters and salted roads as canada.shocked that this is not a recall in my area.

Excessive corrosion to the rear frame as i live in ma with high salt usage state. In canada, transport canada (equivalent to us nhtsa) has already opened recall bulletin 20190250 as due to this excessive rear frame corrosion could lead to frame stiffener perforation and, in extreme cases, cause the rear-trailing arm to separate from the vehicle's frame structure. A separated rear-trailing arm may cause the vehicle to be difficult to control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Separation of internal headliner from rubber lining at rear in a new vehicle. Possible serious driving hazard if not repaired or corrected. Dealer is unwilling to take care of manufacturer defect in a timely & reasonable manner. Dealer claims manufacturer has inventory & shipping problems.

Car lock actuators failed. Locks unlock while driving, and now the locks have completely failed and i can't unlock my car.

Passenger door and rear hatch door would not unlock.dealer replaced front door latch assembly.cost: latch assembly: $69.72: labor: $340.00; shop supplies: $25.00: total cost: $438.42.

The contact owns a 2011 honda cr-v. While driving 40 mph, an abnormal noise was heard from the front and rear of the vehicle. As a result, the tires were rendered unusable. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or independent mechanic. The vehicle was taken to jensen tires and the tires were replaced with a different brand of tires; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 20,000.

This vehicle started showing premature wear at 20000 mi on tires and cupping of tires now have 31000 mi and have to be replaced.very sad.

Unusual wear (interior edge cupping) and noise developed on the right-rear tire during the first two years of ownership (purchased new - january 2011) resulting in an unsafe tire condition.mechanic (using computer alignment method) discovered that camber alignment was not within the specified range, however, there is no camber adjustment option on the vehicle.without the proper camber alignment, tire destruction (in this case interior edge cupping) occurs resulting in an unsafe tire condition.an after-market part is available to provide the necessary camber adjustment, however, it is not a honda oem part and honda does not acknowledge responsibility related to the issue.a vehicle should have routine adjustment mechanisms to avoid destruction of parts which creates an unsafe condition without having to replace an original oem part to accommodate a necessary (and honda recommended - vehicle alignment) adjustment.

I filed a claim/complaint april 6, 2014 for premature wear for continental 225/65r17-102t tires equipped on 2011 honda cr-vto continental &honda. Continental advertises tires are warranted for 65,000 miles or 6 years. It became necessary to replace all 4 tires 3/19/14 at 31,013 miles or less than half the expected life of the tire.the vehicle and tires consistently were serviced by accredited honda dealer & tire pressure maintained. Additionally, on april 6, 2012 the right rear tire went flat with no cause provided and replacedat a cost of $193.00. I have received no compensation for that tire.subsequently, on 4/22/14 honda representative [xxx]responded to my letter of 4/6/14. He referred me to continental tire & denied any compensation from honda. On 4/23/14, ?[xxx]? with continental tires called to confirm they ?never guarantee or warrant mileage on tires?.she specifically directed me to adjustment policy, #3."tread wearout up to a predetermined mileage is not covered under this policy."she, too, refused any adjustment or resolution to the premature tire wear. Additionally, she would not consider the tire replaced 4/6/12 because the dealer did not file a claim.honda corporation unilaterally contracts with continental to provide the 225/65r17-102t tires for their cr-v product. The customer cannot substitute the brand of tires. Honda continues to equipcr-v models with continental 225/65r17-102t tires even though they have been on notice of poor tread performance for years and continue the relationship knowing continental does not warrant theproduct. Continental will not give an adjustment and honda claims they are not responsible. Neither continental or honda will provide, in writing, their basis for denial nor would they allow meto speak to a supervisor. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

I was driving to work on the freeway and heard a noise like air rushing.my tire pressure light came on and i pulled over. The tire blew out in two places on the inside of the left rear tire.road was clear, didn't hit anything, tire just blew out.i was amazed when i saw others with honda cr-v's had the same problems. I am going to replace all the tires tomorrow.i will not buy another one of bridgestone tires..ever.i just had the tires rotated at honda last friday and the car serviced.honda wanted to sell me another bridgestone for 183.00.they can keep their bridgestone tires.

I called in a claim/complaint around june 8 2012 for premature wear for continental 225/65r17-102t tires equipped on 2011 honda cr-v to continental &honda. Continental advertises tires are warranted for 65,000 miles or 6 years. It became necessary to replace all 4 tires 0608/2012 at 31,463 miles or less than half the expected life of the tire because the tires cause my vehicle to fail inspection. The vehicle and tires consistently were serviced by accredited honda dealer & tire pressure maintained.both honda and continental refused to honor the warranty.

My air conditioning went out.honda place said it needs a compressor, clutch and coil and it cost 1800.00.i've looked online and this is happening to hundreds of honda crvs.what is the honda company doing for this issue?there is no way we have 1800.00 to fix an issue that should not happen.we bought this vehicle brand new and have had it taken care of by a honda dealer.please let me know how you can help get this repaired.

The a/c compressor and condensor has known defects and should be replace my honda.

Window rubber seals are melting and deteriorating. Rain or water may get in and damage the car and electronic system. Or may be short circuited

Parked car in parking lot and came back after a couple of hours and noticed all car doors were not unlocking either automatically or manually. After, couple of hours of continuously trying to get it unlocked i gave up and left my car in the parking lot and is still present there. I gave a call to honda dealer and they refused to repair my vehicle without inspecting it. I bought the vehicle early december 2016 and was told i will be under warranty for 36 months or 100,000 miles in the amount $2500. After, arguing with the dealer they told me i am not covered and should contact 3rd part warranty company directly and told me it expired 11 month after date of purchase which was not stated to me when buying the vehicle. I feel this is a significant safety issue because god forbid if i was in a accident and this issue occurred who would help me get out or if i left my kids in the car.

Passenger side doesn't open from the inside or outside.

2011 honda crv. The door lock actuator stopped working. I was not able to open the doors in manual with key or wirelessly ( remote). This is alsoa known problem with other crv model years and a legal case was won in favor of consumers of certain model years to have it repaired by honda free of charge.

Drivers side door lock actuators failing inconsistently and randomly.sometimes vehicle cannot be locked or unlocked.when drivers side rear actuator fails the trunk also fails to open.

Takata recall-i went to paragon honda service station after receiving a notice from dmv about the airbag recall.that was back in august 2016 they took down my information and said they would notify me.since then i have called them and checked the website and nothing has happened. I'm am afraid to drive the car because in the event of an accident this could prove to be fatal. I contacted honda corporate since contacting paragon has proven to be useless.the provided me with a case number 05807660 spoke someone named dani very snotty.

The a/c has worked fine until now. Its spring 2018, and i have tried the a/c a few times, and i dont hear the compressor turn on and its blowing warm/hot air. I've read online this is a common issue in cr-v's. There needs to be a recall!!

I drove with my husband to a grocery store.after stopping the car in the parking lot and turning off the engine, i was unable to open the driver side door.we were able to open the passenger side door, so i slid out over to that side and exited the vehicle.we locked the car and went into the store.when we returned to the car, none of the doors would open.i went back into the store to call aaa while my husband continued trying to get the doors open.he was eventually able to unlock a passenger door, so i entered on that side, slid over to the driver seat, started the car and drove home.this was on sunday 8/20/2017.on monday we took the car to the honda dealer to have this problem fixed.again, the driver's door wouldn't open.we went inside to talk to the desk people.the honda service man wanted to see this for himself, so he took a key out to the car and started trying to lock and unlock doors.he ended up getting all the doors locked and none would open.the honda people worked on the car.they were eventually able to get a passenger side door open, but could not get the driver side door open until they removed that door panel while working on the inside of the car.the got it fixed.their "labor and parts" description says "driver door lock actuator failure."this is a very dangerous situation.fortunately we were not locked inside the car, like we were on 8/6/2015 (see complaint number 11018955).

My car used to run 24mpg. Now drop down to the 15-18mpg. I don't know what is going on? also the air conditioner run on summer will be hot air out.

My honda cr-v driver side door started locking and unlocking the doors about 2 - 3yrs ago. Finally the driver side lock stop working.willet honda found the lock actuator to be bad and replaced the item for $313.68.i reported this information to american honda case04691393 & 03969708.

No heat when vehicle is operational (stationary and in motion) and heating controls are engaged. Thought at first it was the authorized operator having an issue with it on 8/15/2020, but when the owner tried it on 9/8/2020, problem was confirmed.

When cruising along at a constant speed and trying to accelerate to pass a car, the cr-v does not downshift to an appropriate lower gear.the car actually slows down as the accelerator pedal is further depressed.the motor bogs down.if the accelerator pedal is pressed down abnormally far, the car may then drop into a lower gear. When driving up a hill and additional power is needed the same symptoms occur.the transmission does not always downshift and the engine bogs down with minimal power.these are both intermittent problems.there is a honda tsb 10-077 which may address the issue. It can be potentially dangerous as the engine has very little power when this occurs.

The locks on the driver's side passenger's door and the back hatch have seized. I contacted honda regarding their campaign to replace faulty actuators and was told although my model and year does fall within the warranty extension, my vin is not included in the campaign.my problem is consistent with the complaints leading to the settlement and subsequent campaign.i was told by one representative that unfortunately my neighbor with same make/model may be included in the campaign, as if it was some sort of lottery.the locks seized when i started the car and my children were in the back seat, posing a significant safety threat.

Viper 4105 remote start system installed 11/19/2013 by an authorized dealer (waxwerks indianapolis, in).over the next three years the starter was used sporadically and the system was re-programed twice when malfunctioning. On 11/07/2016 the remote start function was tested in anticipation of colder weather and worked as required.on 11/08/2016 after being driven to the local library and turned off the vehicle attempted to start on its own with no one inside or near the vehicle and the remote controls three miles away from the vehicle.the same incident happened again several times a day on 11/09, 11/10 and 11/11.in all cases the remote controls were not in or near the vehicle and the vehicle had been turned off according to normal procedure.on 11/11 we went to dinner and following dinner went to a local music club.when parked outside the music clubthe vehicle attempted to start three times after being turned off and the doors locked. Following the music club the vehiclewas pulled into the garage and the garage door was closed. As we entered the house from the attached garage the vehicle started and continued to run even though the keys had been removed and the ignition turned off.the vehicle was immediately moved outside the garage until the problem could be resolved. On saturday, 11/12 the vehicle was taken to waxwerks(6816 east 82nd street, indianapolis, in 46250) and the viper 4105 was removed and the vehicle electrical system restored to ome.the viper 410 and the two remote starters are in my possession.in all the above cases the vehicle was stationary on a city street or a private parking lot/ drive way.i have the original viper documentation and the installation receipt.when the viper 4205 was removed on 11/12 waxwerks did not charge for the labor and did not provide a receipt.they did return the originally installed unit to me.

Un wanted acceleration at low speeds while parking or stopping ,car thrust forward without foot being on gas pedal ,especially when attempting to park ect.or pulling into a parking space at low speed with foot on brake.this is not a floor mat issue at all . Has happened 5 0r 6 times at random. Complained at dealership, they stated no one else has had the problem reported to them . Could easly run someone over or crash into something .happens very quick without warning...

While driving, the air conditioner unit quit.at 70k miles, the air conditioner pulley, belt, motor had to be replaced

Air conditioner went out. Seems common for these crv models

For some reason the car lost all electricity while we were stopped at a red stoplight.could not restart the car.could not open any doors, not the driver's side, nor passenger side.could not open any windows.car was stationary on a busy city street.it was dangerous.i could see cars approaching from the rear and they had no idea i was stuck.i had no way to turn on the emergency flashers, no way to stick my arm out the window to signal anyone of the danger nor of our distress.fortunately a nice stranger took it upon himself to push our car out of the roadway.this happened on 8/6/2015.- - - - - now something similar happened two days ago, i'll submit it separately.this 8/2015 incident was the first involving being trapped in this car.

My car locked from the inside so i could not get out of the drivers side of the car.i had to crawl through and exit the passenger side. Then after locking from the outside, i could not unlock my car again on any door to get back in.i had my child in the car and had i locked the doors after i got out before getting him out, i would not have been able to get to him.

My air conditioning blows hot air most of the time..i've had it looked at twice. For some reason they cannot figure out the problem..when i look it up there has been more than 500 complaints about the same thing..this sounds like a on going problem that needs addressed. When you pay 23000.00 thousand dollars an more for a vehicle you would expect it to work properly.

The contact owns a 2011 honda cr-v. While the brake pedal was depressed at approximately 3 mph, the vehicle independently accelerated. As a result, the contact crashed into a building. There were no injuries and a police report was filed. The vehicle was driven away by the contact. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vin and failure mileage were unknown.

When braking for a stop light, the engine suddenly accelerated. Eventually, it stopped. This has happened multiple time intermittently.

On december 13th at approximately noon i was stopped at a traffic light in mansfield, ma behind the wheel of my 2011 honda crv( with a little over 66, 000 miles), heading west on route 106 at the intersection with route 140, in the left lane. With my foot squarely on the brake pedal, the car began to slowly move forward. It felt like i was being pushed from behind. I immediately put the gear shift in neutral and the engine revved up to red line at which point i shut the car off.i sat there for a minute and decide to turn the car back on to see if the engine was still revving. It was not, so i carefully drove home with on hand on the gear shift. The car was subsequently inspected by prime honda and honda motor co (case no. [xxx]) and no defects were found. At my request ,they installed a new computer chip charging me their cost.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Car was being driven in a parking lot and as the driver pulled into a parking space and was pressing on the brakes, the car began to accelerate. The car jumped a curb, and continued to accelerate until striking a tree in front of a business. Driver smelled a burning odor just before the acceleration started.

The contact owns a 2011 honda cr-v. The contact statedwhile attempting to park the vehicle it suddenly accelerated while the brake pedal was depressed. The contact placed shifted the gear in reverse and the vehicle continued to accelerate which caused the contact to crash into the wall.the vehicle was towed to the abody shop. A police was available. The contact was not injured. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure.the approximate failure and current mileage was 23,800. Updated 8/5/13

While driving to work on major highway traveling approx. 60-65 mph passed a car and then touched the brakes.. Suddenly the car accelerated to over 100 mph with the r pm's red-lined. I have to stand on the brakes with both feet to try to slow it down and even when it did it was still revving off the charts. Had it towed to honda dealer who said they couldn't find anything wrong with it and most likely was "operator error". I'm too scared to even drive it now. Don't know what to do.

Honda crv 2011 unwanted acceleration on march 22 2018 as i was coming to a stop sign went flying in to traffic got lucky nothing coming. Again on sat 24 when i started my crv in park kept pushing brake then gas at slowed down so i could ,but still high idle.

In late august i pulled into my church parking lot as i do every sunday. My right foot was on the break pedal and i was going about 5 mph when the car suddenly accelerated. While i pressed down hard on the brake pedal, the vehicle shot past the parking space hitting a tree. The car barely missed a parishioner walking on the sidewalk. The driver side window and side of the car were smashed.the car was towed to a honda collision repair shop.american honda came out and inspected the vehicle and told me they could not reproduce the unexpectedacceleration and that what happened to me "is not known to be a problem with this vehicle." the damage was $5885. I was very upset because i loved the crv, but knew i could not chance a repeat performance. This meant trading it in at a significant financial loss to my family. We got nowhere trying to get american honda to reduce the financial burden.

The contact owns a 2011 honda cr-v. The contact stated that while approaching a stop sign, the vehicle accelerated independently and surged forward. The contact shifted into neutral and applied force to the brake pedal in order to slow down the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 40,500.

The contact owns a 2011 honda cr-v. The contact stated that while stopped, there was a rapid increase in the engine rpms. The failure continued until the contact shifted into neutral. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer and they were unable to diagnose the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and offered no assistance. The failure mileage was 14,210.

The contact owns a 2011 honda cr-v. The contact stated that while pulling into a parking spot traveling 2 mph the vehicle suddenly accelerated and crashed into a cement light pole. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who was unable to diagnose the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 29,417 and the current mileage was 29,427.

The contact stated that while driving 40 mph, the rear windshield shattered. The vehicle was taken to an independent repair shop and the windshield was replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and offered no assistance. The failure mileage was 915.

Our windshield wiper arm travels from right to left removing rain from the windshield, the air passing over and around the windshield arm as it returns, the wiper pulls the rain back across the windshield blocking the drivers vision.it appears that the design of the windshield arm and blade causes a vacuum that pulls the water back across the windshield blocking the drivers vision.here in florida with torrential rain storm this factor is extremely dangerous.a quick fix would be airfoil that snaps onto the windshield arm that would direct air into this vacuum behind the wiper blade, destroying the suction that pulls the water back across the windshield blocking the drivers vision.

While driving my wipers pull the water back across in front of me the driver this is a major hazard it blocks my view and at night it is almost to where you would rather stay home if its raining cause you are afraid you won't be able to see. I have complained to honda on several occasions they have said after changing the wiper blades and trying to bend the arm and multiple rain x applications they can not do anything to help me. They said that changing the windshield would not help, and to me by looking at the automobile if the lip down the side of the windshield was not there the water would be slung off the side verse being held on the windshield. I have expressed my concerns to the service manager etc and even had to go to another dealership while traveling because the raining issue and not being able to see. This is becoming a large problem and driving the vehicle is just unsafe. I would like to know what i can do to get this corrected if anyone could help. It was nice to see someone else has this problem they keep telling me no one else has complained. This has been happening continuously ever since i have owned the vehicle and every time i drive in the rain very unnerving and very hazardous.

Summary: our windshield wiper arm travels from right to left removing rain from the windshield, the wiper pulls the rain back across the windshield blocking the drivers vision. It appears that the design of the windshield arm and bladepulls the water back across the windshield blocking the drivers vision. This factor is extremely dangerous. Blocking the dealer was notify with no correction.

Said honda cr-v purchased 05/22/14 at port charlotte honda and was traded in about 2 hours prior to purchase.our 2007 lincoln town car was supposedly sold prior to our arrival at dealership. We wanted to drive our lincoln back home & leave the hondafor safety inspection and detailing per our agreement withsales person (mike homer) and finance manager (eric dane). They insisted we drive the honda home and return for the services the next week as promised. The front tires were very bald being the original tires that came on it in 2011. We insisted that at the least the front and rear tires be rotated so the better (not exactly true) were on the front since it was a front wheel drive vehicle. Upon returning for service i told mike and eric i wasn't at all happy with the condition of the 2 tires on the front, it was a real safety issue. They assured me the tires met the specs and were safethe service department said the tire specs were between 2/32th and 4/32th. This isn't a true statement & i was told by the general sales manager they couldn't spend any additional on the vehicle. Being the first honda we have ever purchased it was a major decision switching from ford (which we have never had a problem with the vehicles or the service department). Eric said we would be real happy with the honda cr-v which we are except for the safety issue with the tires. I've made numerous calls but the dealership still refuses to replace the tires without charging us for them. I refuse to pay hundreds for dollars for tires that should have never left the dealership. I took the honda to the local bridgestone dealership here in cape coral for evaluation and the measurement was 1/32 and he said he wouldn't drive 2 miles on those dangerous tires. The left driver's tire was flat every morning so we are now on a donut tire. We needed this issued resolved as soon as possible. Updated 05/7/2015

This vehicle started showing premature wear at 20000 mi on tires and cupping of tires now have 31000 mi and have to be replaced.very sad.

Original owner noted missing lugnut on rear driver side wheel-stud was broken off during routine tire check.unknown when this fell off.took in for service.mechanic noted that three additional wheel studs on different wheels snapped with minimal torque while rotating tires.auto with 40,000 miles, tires are aftermarket, wheel rim oem.wheels last changed (with new tire purchase) about 15 mo prior to this event.

I have 20,901 miles on the bridgestone tires that came with my vehicle when i bought it new in 2011.i have been told by the dealership when i take it in for servicing that my tires are need replacing.i was considering replacing them, but i have read that the premature tire wear will happen again after replacing.it is my understanding that this is a known problem with the cr-v.
