Takata recall / i received my first notice about this airbag recall in march 2016. The remedy is not yet available and the local honda dealer advises me that they are being told late fall or later. I am not driving the car due to the risk severity. I am now encountering annual vehicle registration hassles if i don't complete the smog certification and registration by the deadline. The offer of a rental car by honda doesn't solve this issue. The airbag and car manufacturers are being given too much time to resolve this recall. Please accelerate the remedy.

Takata recallafter it became clear that our car was included in the recall, i contacted our local dealer (manchester honda, manchester, ct) on february 9, 2016, to schedule the requisite repair.i was told that the replacement inflators were unavailable, with no timetable for arrival, and that we would be contacted by the dealership when the inflators were received.we have yet to hear from them.from what i can tell, we are in the relatively low-danger "zone c", but 14 months still seems an inordinately long time to wait for so critical a safety-related repair.beyond that, it remains unclear whether both front airbags are to receive new inflators or just that on the driver's side.the dealership representative to whom i spoke seemed unable to even understand the question, let alone answer it.

I purchased this car on 3/26/10 based upon performance ratings boasted by honda.there have been manufacturers defects from the start. Currently about 118,000 miles. Early on i started hearing pinging sounds under the hood. Honda dealer said i was low on oil, put a quart in, and the sound stopped.he advised to put oil in whenever the sound occurred. This was before my first oil change. I continued to add oil as the sound re-occurred, 2-4 quarts between oil changes.i repeatedly questioned the consumption but no malfunction was found. July of 2011 honda acknowledged the problem with (tsb#11-033). In november 2011, the dealer did an oil consumption software update. At this time there was no recall.the continual cost for synthetic oil remained and the oil light never came on. An oil consumption recall issued in 2015. The car failed the oil test honda didrequired service as per recall protocol.the tech indicated the catalytic converter needs to be replaced but was out of warranty. Honda agreed to pay 50% of the cc repair.i declined since i have no money for this due to unemployment, nor should i put one cent into a car that has been defective from the start.my car was also recalled for takata airbags. Honda provided a rental car for 2.5 months. I picked up the car and now the engine light is on, brakes malfunctioning and compromised cc. It is not safe to drive.i have been driving a car with a substantial defect from the day one. I have spent countless dollars on oil. There have been two recalls. The car is no longer safe or dependable due to cc and brakes. I am concerned about engine longevity. I will never be able to drive this vehicle without being fearful.i feel it is honda's responsibility to make me whole and provide the type of vehicle i signed up for.please advise next steps to bring about a resolution in the immediate future.

Takata recall was supposedly corrected at price honda, camden de on 12/17/16. On 10/27/17 i was traveling on us rt 13sb at approx 30 mph when i unsuccessfully tried to stop and rear ended a 2008 gmc pick up truck. My front end sustained major damage but the air bag did not deploy. Both the emt and the police officer noted that the airbag should have deployed given the impact of the accident. I was taken by ambulance to kent general hospital dover de, where i had a ct scan and an mri and was diagnosed with a t1 compression fracture and injury to ligaments of c1,2,3. I am scheduled to see neurosurgeon 11/1/2017. My car was towed to chambers tow co viola,de 302-284-9655.i will attach photos for documentation.

The driver side air bag symbol lights up by itself and goes off by itself; sometimes it remains on for as long as 15 mins or as short as few mins. It is random and not reproducible on demand. There's nothing one can do on a highway if the airbag fails to deploy as one would expect.when i called the dealer, they wanted a diagnostic fee of $125 to find the problem, and if its not reproducible on demand it may take several tries.this is a manufacturing / design defect and honda should own and resolve this issue, as its not even a part that's subject to wear - like the tires/brakes, etc.

Takata recall - driver's front airbag inflator. We have been waiting over 60 days for parts and replacement of driver's front airbag inflator for our 2010 honda crv. Watermark honda in paducah, ky put us on waiting list for parts and repair on 07-07-2016 but they still do not have the parts. We received takata recall letter in march 2016 saying parts would be available in summer 2016. On 07-07-2016 we were put on waiting list and have called twice to ask if parts were in. Takata recall: honda is doing a poor job of notifying customers of their airbag recall. I received only one letter when their airbag problem was announced, but no notifications since. I have been tracking the recall status on their website using my vin#, however it continues to indicate "recall incomplete. Remedy not yet available. Frustrated by this safety concern, i finally called my local honda dealer for update and they casually stated they would order an airbag and install it in two days. What?? why is honda not notifying owners that a fix is available? this is outrageous and irresponsible!

I received a notice more than 60 days ago stating that there was a recall on my car with regards to the airbags. I called the dealer and they said they would call when they had the parts. They never did. I called and got the drivers side bag fixed, however they did not fix the front passenger side. I am a carpool driver and i am required to have over 4 people in my vehicle. Someone has to sit in the front passenger side. I called the recall center multiple times and would be told that someone would call me. No one has called me. I was told a supervisor would call me and that never happened. Honda sold me an inferior product and they are not concerned about my family's safety.

I was in an (4) car accident on 1/30/18 (car #3) and my airbags did not go off. I was buckled but my body the steeringwheel. Please refer to photos below.

Takata recalli am beyond scared to drive my car. I travel on the pa turnpike everyday to and from work. The part is still not available to replace my airbag. I am demanding a rental vehicle until my car is safe to drive. There was just another incident where someone was killed because of the defective airbag. Providing me notification of the recall will not save my life. The airbag must be replaced immediately. Other manufacturers have been able to replace their defective airbags. What is taking honda so long. I can't continue to live in distress thinking what is going to happen to me every time i drive my car.

The takata recall for my car has taken over 6 months now and probably more since the parts are not available. I was alerted of this recall back in march 2016 and it currently august 2016. I have an infant that could be affected by this issue not to mention myself or my husband. I am appalled at the lack of attention and service by the honda corporation. This is unacceptable.

Recall air bag inflator defect.i received recall letter which states that: "past ruptures hike this have killed and injured vehicle drivers.the letter also states that replacement part for recall is not available and "will become available in the summer of 2016". I do not feel safe, i asked for a courtesy vehicle similar to my own crv, which i need specifically for a family member 's needs. The honda of toms river do not have any courtesy cars available and will only allow a rental which they get from enterprise.they said i would have to pay the security deposit and they would only pay up $35 per day, (but enterprize has no rentals at that price, as per enterprise) and then they said they would up it to $44 but that does not allow me a similar vehicle which i specifically need for family member. I called and spoke to corporate spending hours over 2 days, i went to toms river honday, got a complete run around wasting another half day, and left there with my own vehical with a recall for air bag inflator that can kill me, as i wait for parts to come in sometime this summer.i am attaching the notice which supports my statements above.i did speak to the manager there, rich hoffman.i need to have a courtesy vehicle that is a crv or similar, but they will not pay allow it.

Takata recall, not issued for my vehicle passenger side airbag per honda motor corp, honda has refused to replace my airbag at this time.honda motor company has provided information that my passenger side air bag was made by takata corp. As of this posting honda informed me that the nhtsa has not issued a recall for my vehicles vin number.honda knows the takata air bags are defective but will not replace my passenger side airbag which was made by takata corp, because the nhtsa has not issued a recall for my vin number of my vehicle. It took honda over 2 weeks and a call to their corporate office to find out who the manufacturer was of my passenger side airbag, and they said it was takata, but the nhtsa has not issued a recall for my vehicle. Now, the dealer could not tell me who manufactured the airbag nor could the 800 customer service number at honda, it took a phone call to corporate to find out, and yet the nhtsa has not issued a recall for my vehicles passenger side air bag based on vin number.i guess they will wait until somone gets hurt, and then issue a recall.

Takata airbags - since the recall was announced and the first letter received, november- december 2015, the date upon which the parts would be available to replace the airbags hascontinued to be pushed back. It is now august 2016 and my daughter, who drives the car, leaves for college in 8 days, and she will be driving her car. Meanwhile another letter arrives last week saying that the passenger side airbag is also recalled in addition to the driver's side. Why a company such as honda would have hid this knowledge from the very first recall is appalling, my daughter is not eligible for the rental car they are offering because she is not yet 21. Again, she leaves in 8 days for her first year of college.initially, i used the honda website to enter the cars information and very the recall. I provided a place to click and choose a dealership to replace the parts. Only problem is the even though it let you choose a dealership, it did not share with the dealership the cars info so that the parts could be ordered. I suppose this should not matter since the company can not repair the airbags and leaves my daughters life in danger. Et, their honda website was not as efficient as they would like it to seem.

Takata recall.i was told i would have to wait for at least another 4-6 months to have my vehicle repaired.honda is not offering any cars to use in the interim so it's basically drive at your own risk.their rental policy costs more than they say and they do not even offer a vehicle of comparable size.i wish to be part f a class action.

Questionlast year or so, honda issued recall for airbags, i had my airbag replaced with that recall.today, i went to your recall site, just checking vehicles, entered my honda vin, and your site states no recalls for that car?how come the airbag replacement does not show up?is that because i had it replaced, and you track whether a repair was done to my car or not?thanks for clarificationno new incidents happened, this jst relates to confusion with your website information

Takata recall - i have contacted my local dealership several times with concerns on getting my vehicle in for this recall. I work in insurance and we currently have two claims due to this recall, one involving a fatality.i am extremely disappointed in honda. Honda keeps telling me they can't help me.communication is a one way street on this issue. I just want to know why i received a notice recall and then the ball is dropped.i received the notice march 2016 expecting some kind of communication by the end of summer as stated in the letter.the letter indicates this matter should be remedied in the summer of 2016. I called honda'so phone number printed on the recall on june 15th and was told the parts are available so i called my local honda dealership and was told parts not available.

Takata recall-our 2010 cr-v was involved in a 3-car accident on a city road with speed limit of 35 mph.a car entering the city street from another road cut off the driver traveling on the road in vehicle #1 and v#1 came to an abrupt stop.the car that entered the road, sped off and was not hit by v#1.vehicle #2 rear-ended v#1.our vehicle (v#3) rear-ended vehicle #2. There is significant damage to the front end of our cr-v. We are concerned that the driver's airbag was not deployed.the police officer called to thescene also commented that he was surprised that the airbag did not deploy.thankfully, our daughter did not hit the steering wheel, but the force was significant enough that we are concerned that this airbag is not functioning properly.we were not aware of any recalls on these airbags until we received notification in the mail literally the day following her accident. We would like the airbag replaced in case something should happen in the future.we do not want to have our daughter driving in a car with known defective airbags.

Takata recall. Have been checking vin for months and finally my search indicated that i should call dealership for replacement of driver side airbag. When i called, customer care person said no parts available and i should be careful driving. This is ludicrous! i can't control others driving. Retired, would like to travel! want it fixed!

Takata inflators. Dealer contacted on 2/6/2016 for airbag replacement and was told they are not available. Contacted dealer again today 7/25/2016 and was told the airbags on on backorder.

Takata recall: upon returning to our local honda dealer to retrieve our cr-von 6/17/2016 after having the recalled driver's side airbag replaced, we learned the passenger side airbag is also defective. Despite being aware of the issue, honda is presently refusing to service the vehicles or to provide rental or loaner vehicles; instead, they are simply advising individuals not to sit in the front-passenger seat until they can fix it (months from now). This is completely and horribly unacceptable; the defective airbags have already resulted in numerous fatalities and honda is exercising willful negligence in sending these vehicles back out on the road. These are family vehicles, and are marketed as such; without use of a front-passenger seat the cars become slightly classier regular cab pickup trucks. Moreover, the owner's manual cites in multiple locations potential problems which could undermine the sensitivity of the pressure monitors which are to monitor the presence of a passenger in the passenger seat, meaning that all passengers and the driver of the vehicle are still in danger of flying metal shrapnel decapitating them in an accident.honda's position (as stated both at autonation 385 in memphis, tn and via there customer service complaint center at (888)-234-2138) is that they can do nothing, and that no one should sit near that airbag. Living in the south, my family is precisely in the middle of the zone in which this defect is expected to be most likely; honda's position is indefensible and deserves immediate attention and response from the nhtsa.

Passenger side airbag recall.honda dealership said there was no option for replacement car per nhtsa's agreement with honda.service manager says airbag can be disabled by unplugging, but they will not do so per nhtsa agreement.i purchased a 5 passenger vehicle for a reason.this is my families primary vehicle.one fourth of my vehicle is now unusable.if airbag does inflate, even with no one in the seat, it is likely that shrapnel will hit driver or possibly back seat passengers. Also, airbag will deploy if passenger seat is used to place other items on.honda needs to be more concerned about their customers safety than the dollar amount.even with nothing in the passenger front seat there is no guarantee that airbag will not deploy in an accident per the service manager as well as personal observation of accidents involving other vehicles.called corporate honda and am now waiting on someone to contact about getting permission to use rental vehicle.cs employee cannot provide any information as to how long that may take.meanwhile my family and i remain in danger.

2010 honda cr-v.consumer writes in regards to replacement parts not available at dealership to repair airbag recall.

"takata recall"l waited almost 4 months for the part to come in for the airbag recall. I called numerous times to honda corporate and the local dealer. First call was march they said by summer the part would be in. I called in july and they said now it would not be until fall that it comes in. I finally had to make a complaint with nhtsa and within a week the dealer called and said the part was in. It has been repaired. However because they required me to sign a paper saying i would keep the car parked and not drive it, my break rotors front and rear got very rusty. The car shakes and shimmies when braking now. The dealer said the rotors need resurfaced. But they wanted to charge me $420 to do that work. I feel honda should pay for it since it is not my fault that i had to let the car sit for 4 months. The dealer said he could not do anything, but to call honda corporate. I called one week ago and they said someone would call back. No one has called back . I need the rotors fixed now. I feel it is a safety issue that is hondas responsibility.

I received a recall notice nhtsa recall 16v-346 dated july 2016.i called honda on july 28 to get a loaner car.today, august 3, i called again and was told only a case manager could authorize a loaner.i asked why i hadn't heard from the so-called case manager.when i was given the bureaucratic run around, i asked for the number of the department where the case managers were located.i was told that the department at 888-234-2138 had no way of contacting the case managers in chino, ca, except by an internal software process.they had no phone number.i have been driving a defective produce since 2010 and i have to wait for a case manager for an indeterminate length of time in order to get a loaner car.meanwhile, everyday that passes, honda is saving the cost of a rental car.i believe that honda is dragging its feet, in order to outwait customers and save on rental cars.they should be fined for their duplicity.on anther matter, i called nhtsa 800-424-9153, today.the phone rang about twenty times and i was told to call back.your system needs attention, too.

Takata inflators honda motor corp, has an engineering report that showed the takata inflators are unsafe, but yet honda only recalled my drivers side airbag. They have not recalled the passenger side airbag on my vehicle.why hasn't honda recalled the passenger side of my car. This needs to be inspected to to confirm which parts are used , and honda does not even know what inflator or propellant was used on my car. The least they can do is inspect the vehicle to see if takata parts were used and if so recall the passenger side airbag.

Takata recall...honda's misleading instructions regarding, denied temporary workaround for, and liability release waiver requirement....in march 2016 i get a letter from honda corporate informing me of the recall that said do nothing and that i would be contacted when parts were available in summer. When i called the dealership today (august) to follow up, i was told that because i hadn't called the dealership in march, they never ordered my parts. I read them the letter, verbatim, and asked where does it say i was suppose to call the dealership before you'd order parts? rep had no answer. The letter also spoke of a provision for "temporary alternative transportation," yet when i asked the dealership what that was about, i was told they didn't know anything about that. I called national honda to complain about this. I was told that the letter that would have told me to call the dealership had "been delayed" but that the dealership should have offered me a loaner. I called back, and was told that to get a loaner i must drive the unsafe car to them to have the mileage verified, then, sign a waiver releasing honda from liability if something happened when i drove that unsafe car home. If the vehicle is so unsafe to drive that i must sign a waiver to take it home, then why do they require me to drive it there so that they can see how many miles are on it? also, to pick up the loaner car, i'd need a passenger to drive it home while i drove the unsafe vehicle home, but this would put the passenger at risk when we drove to honda so that they can see the mileage and to pick up the loaner car. The logic escapes me. Have someone drive a loaner car to my home, have them look and verify my mileage while they're here, and then no one has to drive the unsafe car!

Takata recall- i received my first notice in early april, april 8th called my local dealership and was basically told that the recall was nonsense and there was no reason to worry about anything and they would have parts in 2-3 wks. April 19th called corporate with concerns after talking to dealership. I received an additional recall for the passenger side airbags now are included in the recall. I now have a 2 wk old baby, a 2 yr old, and a vehicle that i am still paying for that i am not comfortable safely putting myself or my family in and no repair dates in the near future. The 2nd recall has the same timeline of summer/fall, i understand this is a huge recall and the number of deaths compared to the number of effected vehicles "isn't that great" but all it takes is 1 accident to destroy my family.

I recently received a notice from honda corporate regarding the airbag recall.this reminded me that about a year ago my dealership sent me a letter about it and asked me to sign a form that said i would not drive my car until the airbag was replaced if i forfeit the daily $15 they would give me for transportation, which was not a reasonable amount at all.at that time they had me on a waiting list and never contacted me when parts became available. Each time beginning july 2016 that i attempted to schedule the vehicle for immediate replacement, this message appeared on the official honda recall web site after entering my vin number. The message was as follows: ""recall status:recall incomplete. Remedy not yet available"this message never changed and as of nov 16,2016, honda added the following:"if the manufacturer has failed or is unable to remedy this safety recall for your vehicle in a timely manner, please contact the nhtsa vehicle safety hotline at: 1-888-327-4236 or tty: 1-800-424-9153 or file an online complaint with nhtsa."the original notification from honda, (available upon request), intimated that due to the replacement airbags (not being available until early summer 2016),that owners who were overly concerned of driving their vehicle during the next few months, should contact their dealer and they would attempt to accommodate the owner.the letter did not list a specific remedy.attachmentthis is gross negligence on the part of the nhtsa!!

Takata recall--i first received the front airbag recall in april 2016 and immediately put my car on the wait list at dch honda to get replaced. I got a second recall notice for the passenger side airbag on july 22.we are a family of four with two large carseats and my crv almost always has a passenger.an adult is not able to sit in-between the car seats in the back.i was told by the dealership that the parts were still not available and that the wait list for both airbags is months long.i requested a rental car and the next day, miraculously there is a part for the front air bag.they told us we could no longer receive a rental for just the passenger airbag.i guess the passenger's life is not as important as the driver?when i put my vin in the recall website, even today it says "remedy not yet available."i am concerned that the part that they put is in really intended for a 2010 honda crv and not for another car just so they don't have to pay for the rental.why were we not told yesterday when we called to confirm information about the rental that the part was in?our appointment was first thing in the morning, so is it really possible (after being told about the long wait list and the parts were not in just the other day) that the part we needed came in right before we picked up the rental?just because the receipt says it is the part, i feel uneasy that it is the legit replacement (part number 04770-swa-405).i also feel that it is a safety concern that the recall notice for the passenger airbag (nhtsa recall 16v-346) states "honda suggests that you avoid having a passenger sit in the front passenger's seat until the recall repair has been performed," yet we have no choice but to sit someone in that seat when we need to drive anywhere.

Takata recall - in march, 2016, we have received the recall notice that the part will be available in summer 2016. In june, 2016, i called andersen honda (palo alto, ca) for repair appt, then they 'placed' the part order.now in october, 2016.there is still no eta on when the airbag part is available.this is beyond the 'reasonable period of time (60 days for repair appt). What is the reasonable time for the recall to be addressed?

The contact owns a 2010 honda crv. When the contact started the ignition, the front passenger side air bag warning indicator illuminated. The warning indicator would illuminate until the engine was turned off. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer for diagnostic testing. Takata recallcar is sputtering, and then stalling, alarm system goes off unexpectantly, check engine light and other lights go off - reads as misfire and has to deal with emisions system. Appears to happen in other model hondas and some type of switch. Dangerous if car stalls in traffic

My 2010 crv sometimes doesn't start the first time. This happened more frequently over the last 6 months.what happens is when starting the car there will be a "click sound" but not the sound of the starter.....turn the key to the off position and try again and the car starts normally. Always starts normally on the second try. What i heard was a clear buzzing sound coming right from the steering column, near the ignition switch when the key was turned to the start position. No sounds from the engine at all. The sound was like an electrical buzz. After turning the key on and off three times, then the car started normally with no buzzing coming from the steering column.in searching the web, there are other crvs that report the same thing--abnormal sound at first start and then perfectly normal starts on the second try.this is the third time i took my crv to honda dealer for the same problem. First time, battery was replaces. Second time, relay was replaced. No problem fixed.

The contact owns a 2010 honda cr-v. While the vehicle was parked, all four doors locked and could not be unlocked electronically or manually. The contact called aaa to get the doors open. The failure occurred numerous times. The dealer (ourisman honda of laurel, 3371 laurel fort meade rd, laurel, md 20724) was contacted and informed the contact to call nhtsa.the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 110,000.

The contact owned a 2010 honda cr-v. The contact stated that while driving 50 mph and approaching standing water, the brake pedal was depressed and the vehicle shut-off. The contact loss control of the vehicle and crashed into a tree. The air bags deployed on impact. The contact stated that he initially suffered back pain but refused medical attention at the scene. As the pain persisted, he went to his personal doctor who treated him for pain to his right knee and lower back. A police report was filed. The vehicle was initially towed to a tow yard however, the insurance company retrieved the vehicle and towed it to their location. Upon inspection of the vehicle, the insurance company deemed the vehicle a total loss. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer were notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 82,000.*dt

Vehicle was rear-ended by a faster vehicle.the impact forced the transmission into "park," which automatically locked the doors, trapping any occupants.had there been a fire or water submergence situation, there could be unnecessary injury or even death. Vehicle door locks need to be re-designed to let occupants escape in an emergency.

The contact called on behalf of the owner of a 2010 honda cr-v. The contact stated that on multiple occasions, the key fob failed to operate as intended. The contact had to call a tow truck to have the vehicle unlocked. The contact had not notified the dealer. The manufacturer was not notified of this failure. The failure mileage was 80,000. The vin was not available.

My complaint is the same as the one that owners of any 2007-2009 honda cr-v had to put up with: door lock actuator failure.driver's side rear door failed to unlock.will only unlock manually, is not responsive whatsoever to the key fob, or the lock/unlock button inside of the vehicle.the tailgate also will not unlock by any means, which poses a serious safety hazard to the vehicle.i am asking for an extension of the door lock actuator recall from 2007-2009.who is to say that once i replace this costly part for $350, that i will not have to then replace any of the existing 3?there are multiple reports online of 2010 cr-v owners having the same issue and the recall should be extended to encompass the 2010 cr-v vehicles.

The contact owns a 2010 honda cr-v. After the contact exited the vehicle and locked the doors, the vehicle would inadvertently restart. The contact called ohio valley honda (532 n 3rd st, steubenville, oh 43952, (740) 283-3435) and was informed that diagnostic testing was needed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer and manufacturer were not made aware of the failures. The failure mileage was approximately 83,000.

Both the brake and vehicle stability assist (vsa) warning lights are lit up on instrument panel, even when parking brake is not engaged and vsa not being used.especially in cold weather (below 40) these warning lights turn on when the car is running; but sometimes also in warmer weather (below mid 50s).issue just started nov. 2016, so not sure if lights will go on in warm weather.dealer could not correct.there was no accident preceding the faulty warning lights.

My heater is blowing out cold air also not able to use defroster which is a saftey hazard - i have had several cars in the past not a honda and never had problem wth heating

I wish to complain about my 2010 honda crv. I am having issues with my air conditioning unit. When it is hot, it blows hot air even when it is set on the lowest temperature. However, when it is nighttime it will blow cold air. Honda evacuated and recharged the system only for me to experience the same issues two months later. I was then told that i needed to replace the ac compressor, coil set, clutch set, etc. I went to get a second opinion and i was told that the ac compressor would not even power on due to electrical issues. In relation to electrical issues, my car also stalled about a year ago and i was able to have that issue rectify without taking it to honda.

There has been several stalled engine incidents while driving on a city street and also stationary at a red traffic light. No engine light has turned on leading to a wiring issue perhaps. Not so much a mechanical issue more so electrical of software related. It is unknown when the engine will turn off. There are two recall associated with stalled engine for honda cr-v 2010. There are the ignition circuit coupler failure (11v004000) and the automatic transmission control module software (11v395000) however my vin is not apart of that recall. I am scared and fear for my life that this stalled engine issue will cause my car to get into an accident or even worst have someone else and i get killed.

Pull into my garage, applied brake, brake went to the floor and accelerate at the same time. Hit my garage wall causing damage to the wall and car. Turn of car.drove the car next day, every thing was ok. Check out the brakes on my long drive way, every thing seem ok.when over to a friends house, monday, again same thing happen, went thru a gasoline station, and the electronic stability controls accelerated, was finally able to stop it, when the brakes return to normal.when we were leaving our friends house, the battery was dead. Had to jump start, every thing was ok driving home. Trying to set up a appointment at the honda dealer today.

The power locks are not working properly. I first noticed that the locks would cycle locked and unlocked after i had the car for about a year. It would happen randomly but while i was driving. Within the last six months, i couldn't get the car to open using the button on the key, i have to use the key in the driver's side door and, once inside the car, reach over to the door that i want to open to manually open it with my hand. The trunk will open if i cycle the driver's side door electric lock/unlock button several times. When i am driving the doors will cycle locked/unlocked until i move the manual indicator several times. I am seeing a problem where all of the doors at one time or another have been in the opposite position than the other three doors, so it is a problem with all of the doors. I'm seeing a lot of complaints about this problem and even a lawsuit online. I spoke to honda today at 800-999-1009 and said there was nothing they could do since the car is out of warranty (it's 4 years old with about 60k miles on it). It seems like this is a bigger problem for many models of honda vehicles.

I am deaf.passengers note sound of door locks locking and unlocking continuously while driving.also passenger door will not unlock from inside, a severe safety hazard.

Hot sunny and humid day heading to work when turning on the air conditioning it blows warm to hot air as the car is already warm from the sun it doesnt blow cold air and if it does its rarely and wont last long. I have seen a lawsuit was filed and settled but my year of the car wasnt mentioned but seems to be more than just mine as well.just purchased october 2016

My engine would stall right after all electrical components would shut off then come back on right after. Intermittent spark firing.exact same thing as in the #11v004000 recall

No access to spare tirecannot access spare tire in hatchback - unable to open hatchbackdue to lock actuator failure and vehicle is not equipped with an external unlock mechanism at the hatchback.unsafe if a tire fails.no access to the spare tire.

The airbag sensor light on the dash goes on and off intermittently for past 2 years. We took it to the dealership to get inspected on 8/18/20. This what was was explained on our paperwork: found dtc 32-10 open in the front passenger side airbag inflator. Performed stimulator, found dtc not returning. Found intermittent failure with floor harness. We were told by the dealership service staff that if not repaired the airbag could possibly fail.

The rear lock has become faulty and is making a loud noise.

Year after having the car i had to replace the interia light 3 times. I also had to replace the brake lights, and the tag light. When taking it dealer they said it was ok.the dash lights for the abs and slide control comes on when backing up and stays on until i restart.the dealer said it is ok as long as it does not stay on.

While traveling a very busy interstate on a holiday, my battery cable came off (erosion). This happened while going slow due to a normal traffic slowdown. I was in the middle lane of a 5-lane freeway. After my car stopped, traffic backed up as far as the eye could see. I had no electrics and, as a result, i could not get out of my car, open a window, turn on emergency flashers, or use the manual door locks. If the car had caught fire, i had no way to get out. Breaking a window from inside, without a tool for that use, is beyond my abilities. With a slightly different set of circumstances, my life could have been in danger. I think the inability to exit my car is a very serious safety problem.it was very warm and the car quickly heated up. Traffic backed up as far as the eye could see. A few people stopped to help and ended up getting very angry with me. "stupid" and "idiot" were the names they used for me because they could not understand why i would not manually open the door. I hope this complaint results in a reply. Thank you

We were driving on highway about 65 mph and without notice the dashboard light disappeared and the speedometer indicated 0 mph even though we were going about 65 mph. We decelerated and the speedometer remained 0. We pulled to the side turned engine off and restarted and every thing was normal after that. Called the dealer with no follow up.

Issue 1: when i am trying use the heater it seems like my side (drive side) is stuck on blowing cold air. While the passenger side seems to be adjusting fine and the temperature changes just fine. But on my side, eventho it says it's on hi heat. Or 85 degrees. It's still just blowing cold air on me.i'm doing something wrong. Also, when i press the duel button it still just blows cold air on me, but not on the passenger side.

Gears began to crunch and the car began to shake.slowed down at a light and lost the power steering.pulled over and the engine stalled.could not re-start for 10 minutes.engine then re-started, traveled approx. 10 meters and stalled.re-started again - no further problems.2 similar occurrences, 2 months apart.for the first event, the car went off the road.on each occasion the dealership stated they had checked everything and there was nothing wrong with the car.took it for a second opinion.dealership had not checked recall 11-001 (january, 2011).they checked it, but again found no issue.

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2010 honda cr-v. The vin was included in nhtsa campaign number: 16v061000 (air bags). The contact stated that neither nhtsa nor honda were doing anything to expedite the recall repair. The contact was offered a loaner vehicle by honda, but it was up to the contact whether or not to pay for the insurance. The manufacturer was notified. The contact was informed that it would take up to eight weeks to receive the parts. The contact had not experienced a failure.updated 06/29/16*ljthe consumer also stated the battery had to be replaced, after three months of driving. . updated 06/30/16.

Drivers side door actuator failed, could not unlock or lock doors, very scary. Could not figure out why i could not get out of car. The door lock actuator failed. Also passenger door lock actuator failed as well. This was really scary that honda has a class action lawsuit that was settled but did not include 2010 cr-v.had to get this fixed as it is an extreme safety concern that honda did not want to include fixing this issue in there settlement and now maybe the nhtsa might look into thisthis is a safety issue.

Driving into 2 car garage located on circular 1 way street.garage angled opposite way.have to make a u turn and have car fully braked to enter garage.park on left hand side;car completely stopped and was going to change from drive to park.car revved up and headed toward right side of garage and crashed into house wall.took out 8" of wall and destroyed part of foundation & wall.fire dept. & ems called.i have preexisting conditions including cervical fusions, spondylothesis, artifical knee.both knees hit dashboard.after air bag popped, i looked to see my foot was still on brake.car totaled.

The contact owns a 2010 honda cr-v. While the vehicle was parked, all four of the doors locked and could not be re-opened electronically or manually. The vehicle's hood and trunk also could not be opened. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. An independent used car dealer was contacted and stated that the issue occurred with many honda vehicles, but the failure could not be diagnosed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. There were no recalls related to the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 150,000.

Driver side door actuator is malfunctioning.unable to lock door with key fob, have to manually lock it.class action lawsuit was for the 2007 and 2008 model, however the company is still using the defect part in newer models.waiting for the other door to malfunction and if it persist it might cause a fire in the door.big safety concern, guess the government will wait until someone dies before recalling this problem.this is a known problems for the crvs, look at the class action lawsuit.

Driver-side power door lock in my 2010 honda cr-v ex-l periodically stops responding to both the interior lock button and the remote key fob button. This could potentially create a dangerous situation where the driver unintentionally opens the door while the vehicle is in motion by pulling the lever from the inside, while under the assumption that the door has been locked.note that in honda models, pulling the interior release lever while the door is locked should prevent the door from being opened altogether.this problem could mislead the driver into thinking that all doors have been locked while, in fact, they have not; this also creates a security issue because the door can be opened from the outside as well.another related problem is the potential for the driver to unintentionally leave the vehicle with an unlocked door, even after pressing the lock button on the remote key fob, which increases the probability of theft and break-ins.a quick internet search reveals many user complaints about power door lock problems in this generation of cr-v, showing a clear pattern of problems with the 2007 - 2011 cr-v.honda should address this immediately by issuing a recall and warranty extension.

2010 honda crv. 2010 honda crv.....instrument panel is not made out of non-glare glass, therefore, when the sun reflects on it, cannot read the speedometer at all!!!!! either the glass should be replaced, or the part of the dashboard that hangs over the instrument panel should be made longer....this is a driving hazard!!!!

The contact owns a 2010 honda cr-v. While driving approximately 60 mph, several warning indicators illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact noticed smoke under the hood and immediately pulled the vehicle over to the side of the road and called aaa road service. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who diagnosed and replaced the radiator, compressor, and belt. The contact drove the vehicle home, but the vehicle failed to start the following day. The battery was replaced by aaa road service. Seven days later, while driving approximately 40 mph, the engine stalled. The vehicle was pulled over to the side of the road and towed to the contact's residence. The dealer was contacted (ocean honda in santa cruz, ca, 831-661-8693) and the technician advised the contact to trade in the vehicle for a new one. The contact purchased a new vehicle instead. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failures. The failure mileage was approximately 118,000.

My 2010 honda-crv is mechanically out-of-control when i tried to make a turn and it escalated instead and i tried to maneuver to steer to turn and instead, continue to speedup and finally bring to a halt by slamming to a gmc jeep and is now totaled. Updated 04/22/10updated 05/05/10.

Takata recallcar is sputtering, and then stalling, alarm system goes off unexpectantly, check engine light and other lights go off - reads as misfire and has to deal with emisions system. Appears to happen in other model hondas and some type of switch. Dangerous if car stalls in traffic

I had an airbag recall on my honda crv 2014 at12943 jefferson ave, newport news 23608 there were suspose to fix my vehicle andi been have major problem with my car ever since the total vehicle problems and cost.

The driver side door lock buzzes for about 1-2 second when i lock the car. . it does not matter whether you use the remote or lock the car from inside. I also have it where the door locks automatically when the car is started.i think this is the honda broken door lock actuator. There's a small motor inside the actuator that gears to a small rack. When the rack reaches the end of travel, it hits a rubber bumper and shuts off the motor. When the rubber bumper wears out, the rack goes too far and the noise you hear is the motor gear grinding against the end of the rack. The problem with the car automatically relocking itself happens when the rack bounces backwards and hits the lock contacts. Contacted with the dealer, they said i need to pay out of my pocket to fix it. I think this is manufacturer's problem. They should fix it.

The vehicle stability assistance light wont come on.

Single owner of vehicle, bought brand new. For last 18 months or more...large oil consumption, about 1100 miles per synthetic oil change. Sounds like a lawnmower when starting vehicle. Terrible "pick-up". Very low gas mileage, used 87 unleaded for entire life of car.currently averging about 12 miles per gallon (highway/around town combined). Taken to local honda dealership many times with no real solution although posts all over internet with same problems.

Service documentation has been made regarding a complainant of a metal noise dropping from the vehicle as of nov 2010 and basically every year to follow. I did purchased the vehicle new. However, now i have just been advised it is an internal issue in the transmission and will be responsible to pay $1600. It seemed that most costly issues really began to surface after the 5 year warrantee. However it seemed that nothing is wrong, but after a third return and taking the vehicle out and reproducing the noise/problem i have complained of since my original purchase no has been "discovered". I have always done the recommended services on the vehicle at the time i have maintained its service since it has been purchased with garden state honda. They have been polite, tried to provide a reason for the noise which were not as i described. A metal clank/drop noise is not the same as the plastic flap rubbing on the tire. I have been engaged to a mechanic and clearly know this was a poor excuse.i do have an extended coverage until april 2017. I have also been provided an excuse that my car tires are wearing unevenly as the car must not have been driven in some time (the tires appear to have that stationary mark). The car is driven daily. It may not be far distances, but that's not a reason for why wearing unevenly.

Hesitation on hot days: from a standstill attempting to merge with traffic on a hot day can be dangerous.the car hesitates and then accelerates at a rate far slower than normal even with the accelerator pushed to the floor.car has been taken to two dealers, with no positive results.this happens daily on hot days.

In august of 2015 honda issued a warranty extension notification for sticking piston rings resulting in high engine oil consumption. In 2015 i began to add oil in-between required oil changes and reported the condition to manchester honda in july. The rate is approximately 1qt/2,500 miles. Honda agrees this is 'abnormal' but that the rate does not meet the 'excessive' consumption required to be covered under the warranty extension notification. That rate is not documented anywhere and reported to be 1qt/1,000 miles. For 'customer satisfaction' honda has agreed to fix the problem charging me $1,000. I object to this offer as i paid for a normal car and see no reason to pay addition money to make the car normal - i paid for and expect a normal car. The word argument - abnormal vs. Excessive - honda has forwarded does not impress me. The warranty notification states "... High engine oil consumption", that is exactly what i am experiencing. Whether it is abnormal or excessive is a philosophical discussion honda can have internally.the facts:my car is exhibiting high engine oil consumption; honda agrees the consumption is abnormal and in 2015 issued a warranty extension notification acknowledging the 2010 cr-v models potentially have a sticking piston ring resulting in high oil consumption.calling an offer to pay a second time for the normal car i purchased does not, in my mind, amount to customer satisfaction. Together the terminology excuse honda has presented, the hollow customer satisfaction offer and lack of support from the entire honda service team adds to my anger and frustration.my request is to have honda perform whatever repairs necessary to yield the product i purchased - a normal car that does not exhibit high engine oil consumption.

Engine or transmittion begines to stall in the morning when driving at 50 mph or higher on highway.it does not happen in the afteroon.i tried to warm up the vehicle for 5 mins before driving, but the simpton remains the same.the software upgrade was done by dealers a couple of times, but the problem continues.

I bought my honda crv brand new 2010. By the time the car was 2 year old, with 10,000 miles, there was a grinding noise when i would start the car. The grinding noise lasts about 2 seconds. It has been into a honda dealership several times. I was told honda is working on a "fix" and that the problem would be addressed when the engineering department had the issue figured out. One year later (but still under warranty), the grinding noise is louder and longer than before, and happens almost every time i start the car. Upon doing some research, i learned that honda has been installing the defective vtc actuator since 2008, in accords. The defective actuator was also installed in 2012-2014 crv's.it appears that honda continued to use the defective actuator since 2008, yet customers are being told that a "fix" is in the works, 7 years later. American honda has advised honda service departments to not replace the actuator as it is likely that the replacement actuator will present the same grinding noise. A regional case manager also assured me that a "fix" was in the works but did not comment when i pointed out that honda continued to use a defective part from 2008-2014. Honda repeatedly emphasizes that this is not a safety or performance issue, to which i have replied that is likely the reason it has been 7 years with no fix -- it is a low priority and honda chooses to direct its engineering resources elsewhere.complaints information : https://www.carcomplaints.com/honda/cr-v/2014/engine/engine_rattles_on_cold_start_up.shtmlhonda service bulletin 09-010https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2014/sb-10056875-8211.pdf

This vehicle started burning oil early in 2017. It burns between 1.8 and .66 quarts per 1000 miles (based on honda's own test, attached).honda told us this is "normal" and that we should replenish the oil every time we fill the gas tank.this is unacceptable.no vehicle should "burn" oil at that rate.it is both a liability to the owner and a detriment to the environment.honda knows there is a problem (recall) and should fix it.

I first noticed excessive oil consumption in dec 2014 when driving across west texas (speed limits are 80 mph).my oil light went on and the car was making noise when i arrived in tucson.i went to a dealer who said i had run out of oil but he didn't know why.i then went to where i purchesd the car but no reason for excessive oil found.i went to another mechanic- again no reason.in august 2015 honda sent a letter explaining that 2010 and 2011 cr-vs had a problem with sticky piston rings that could lead to excessive consumption.i contacted honda and went through an oil consumption test.although i documented 1.5 quarts of oil burned in 1700 miles of highway, the average was less than honda defined as excessive.i feel that this level of consumption is excessive, especially on longer highway drives and i am worrying about damaging the engine.honda should do the warranty work.my local dealer suggested i continue to do my own oil consumption testing.the warranty is valid until nov 2017 and for another 35,000 miles.

The vehicle had a noise after i put 1000 miles and took it to honda service in danbury honda in ct, they told me to bring it back on 1000 miles due to engine was burning oil. Brought it back twice with the same result, burning oil.customer service sent documents and proof to honda for an approval to fix the problem, which is well known that the 2010 crv are burning oil in excess and i am waiting over a week for a response and nobody called me, i called them today and according to them, they havent heard from honda. I wanted to let you know about this problem that is well known in their internal circle, i asked someone from another honda service center and told me the same thing, and honda knows but they will make it difficult to admited. I am waiting for a possitive answer if not, i will never buy a honda again.

The 2010 honda cr-v was not driving properly, felt like the transmission was slipping/shaky.the oil light came on, so i took it to the dealer (less than 70,000 miles).it was almost out of oil, even though i had been properly maintaining service since buying the vehicle new in april, 2010.the honda dealer serviced the car.i went back shortly after service because we checked the oil and it was low again.they started 'oil consumption' tests.it was down a bit every 1,000 miles but they kept saying it was in the 'normal' range and that it is not unusual to need to add oil between oil changes (i have owned cars for 30+ years and this is the first car that ever need additional oil between changes).i kept taking it in for consumption issues.they would check the oil, top it off, and tell me it was 'normal'.the service person said the service manager presented it to the regional honda service, but they said it was 'normal' too.i started topping off the oil myself as the dealership is a bit of a drive and i wasn't getting anywhere with the complaints.at 86,000 miles, the check engine light came on.i took it to an acura dealership.they serviced the car and reset it.light came on again 3 weeks later.it needs a new catalytic converter @$1,100.bought honda care extended warranty at dealer with car, but it doesn't cover the part.honda is telling me the car is out of warranty and the honda care warranty is not a honda warranty, but 3rd party and they don't control it.i'm out $2,300 for the useless warranty and appealing to honda to replace the catalytic converter.i strongly believe there is a connection between the oil consumption (which the honda dealer said is not a problem with cr-vs) and the need for a new catalytic converter at 86,000 miles.

Excessive oil consumption reported to dealer when mileage was apprx 60k dealer said that it was normal aprox 1 qt in 1,000mi. It was not acceptable to me. I am now burning much more now @ 92,9255k i would like to have this resolved by honda because this is motor defect and should be repaired at honda's expense

My car engine stalled mostly in ther morning at 50 mph or above.it lasts about a few minutes, and disappears.it happens in the afternoon again.it seems that egine speed and transmission are mismatched.i reported this several times after i purchsed it; dealers updated softwares under factory warantees.the problem has not been fixed.my car has now about 32,000 milies.i am not sure if this has anything to do with the recentrecall on engine oil ring problem.

**update to complaint made on 6-17-13*** i informed american honda about the sudden acceleration problem, he said not covered by warranty because dealer could not recreate the issue. I informed him i would not trust my loved ones to this car, i asked if he would let his wife and familyuse this car, he said 'maybe'. (on what criteria would he decide that i wondered).long story short, honda no help, the dealer, on the other hand, gillman honda of san antonio was most helpful and stepped up by providing a very reasonable discount on a 2013 crv and gave us the red carpet treatment. We traded in little greeny, sorry to see him go but had to do it.

High engine oil consumption - my car ran out of oil in 2014, the red light came on and i added 4 qts of oil. This was between oil changes with "20% oil life" still indicated in the car. I reported it to honda and not until they sent me the warranty extension required by the court order did anything happen. Then they (mcgrath honda elgin il) made me bring the car back 4 times for the oil consumption test. They told me the test would only take 3 trips. Even though it continues to burn oil (1qt per 800-1000 miles) they deny a problem.

I had excessive oil consumption and the pistons were replaced under the extended warranty from honda at approximately 117000 miles.i drove the vehichle and the oil lite came on; stopped at a repair station and had to add 2 qts oil.went to honda again to start oil consumption test (which they say losing a qt of oil every 1000 miles is ''normal' which i so disagree with.the engine lite came on, took to honda and they said the catalyc converter needs to be replaced (with only 120000 miles now).i found other sites/blogs that show other honda owners having same problem with cat converter/oil consumption.i beliee the excessive oil consumption is contributing to the failure of the cataylic converter/emmissions problem and the consumer/myself shoudl not have pay this exorbainate repair cost (over $2600 per honda dealer).i have 2007 crv with approx 145000 miles and have had no oil consumption or catalyic converter issue which concerns me as i was looking to trade in the 2007 and pass the 2010 crv to my daughter and acquire a new honda.but, it is unacceptable that a newere crv (2010) has such major problems that it is not a quality car to pass on to my daughtr to drive and i am not sure if i get another honda if i will hae defects and excessive out of pocket costs.i wanted my honda's to last with minimum repairs that are exorbinet costs.

My 2010 honda crv has an oil consumption problem. The dealer finds it consumes 1 quart per 1500 miles. Because of this it does not meet the criteria for repair under the extended warranty. The oil light never comes on despite being critically low on oil. I have gone through the oil consumption test twice now and also appealed through honda. Because i am not burning 1 quart per 1000 miles they will not do the repair. They admit it's burning too much oil but not enough to fix it. I have also been told by the honda dealership that honda oil lights "just don't work". My independent mechanic has said the rate of oil consumption is damaging my vehicle. I am now checking my oil weekly and spending a lot of extra money purchasing oil to add on my own. I have found the entire process through honda extremely frustrating. I call and send emails and do not get a response. After i filed the appeal and was told they will not agree to do the repair i asked what my next step should be. He suggested i do a third oil consumption test. He said he had the final say as the person in charge of my appeal and he refused to help me.

The contact owns a 2010 honda cr-v. After the contact exited the vehicle and locked the doors, the vehicle would inadvertently restart. The contact stated that the vehicle started by itself four times in the last couple of weeks.

2010 honda crv has excessive oil consumption problem leading to an engine stall on 9/28/17 while driving approx. 30mph on a city street.there was no prior warning of an oil level problem until the oil pressure light came on when the car stalled out.the oil had been changed in the car 2 months prior and was routinely changed approx. Every 4k miles..the vehicle had also been having a grinding noise when starting up cold each day.this has been determined to be a vtc actuator problem.the excessive oil burning has now also caused an emissions problem (catalytic converter) and the car will not pass state inspection.there are numerous complaints including litigation pertaining to the excessive oil issue and the vtc actuator defect. There needs to be an investigation into whether vehicle crashes/injuries/fatalities involving the affected honda vehicles are caused by engine stalls or loss or power and furthermore if the excessive oil consumption problem is the cause.if the vtc actuator is causing or contributing to the problem, there needs to be a recall.also, does excessive oil burning increase the risk of engine fires in these vehicles? is excessive oil burning causing emissions system failures and polluting the environment?a vehicle that burns 4-5 quarts of oil between 5k mile oil changes is not safe to drive for anybody but especially unsafe for the elderly and young drivers. The defect will cause engine performance problems leading to car crashes, engine fires and violates emissions standards.

Acceleration. My 2010 honda crv loses power and stalls. It will not accelerate at times. I am afraid to pull out onto the road. I bought it two months ago. It only has 110,000 on it. I took it to a certified honda dealer and they said it was the timing chain. They also said there were a lot of other parts that i would need to replace with the timing chain. It totaled almost $2000.00. It seems like a lot of other people are having this problem. I have searched the internet and there are a lot of others. Why hasn't honda recalled this problem. Please help!

Loud rattling noise at cold start up.

Excess oil consumption.need to add 1 plus quarts of oil per 1,000 miles.oil indication light does not appear when there is no oil on the dip stick.this first started to happen at around 100,000 miles (8/2017) and continues to do so.must constantly check and add oil to engine.i am the original owner and have always used top-tier gasoline and i am also a very gentle drive.

June 11-13 i had oil changed at my dealer gilman honda san antonio and had car checked out for problems because i am almost out of warranty, they said all clear, also had new key made and they reset the car to recognize the new keys.june 15 2013 i was backing up in the drive way, i pressed the brakes and car started to rev up severely, i put it in park, confirmed that my foot was off the gas, floor mat not stuck in the pedal etc. I turned off engine, restarting and it ran fine. Next day same thing, in reverse, pressed brakes and sudden acceleration, i will take to dealer this week to report issue, not hopeful as there are 15 of these complaints on carcomplaints.com and no dealer has yrt found the solution.

My car has made a metal on metal grinding noise for four years on a cold startup. This is in warm or cold weather, but only if the car has not been driven for 6 hours or longer. After having this diagnosed and fixed twice by mechanics (the problem always returned), my honda dealer told me today that it is the vpc actuator. Upon searching this problem, i found it is a well known, defective part for many honda accords and cr-vs and that it can cause serious engine problems. I'm disappointed that this has not ever been communicated to me and that fixing it will cost me $1,000 since honda knows this is a defective part.

I have 2010 honda crv when i driving the crv, when the transmission is between 2th, 3th gear i hear a grinding noise coming from the transmission. Im no sure what it is, but transmission shift to the 4th gear the noise go away.

For at least 50,000 miles, my 2010 crv seemed to be burning oil in between oil changes. In about 2000 mile into the oil change, i'd notice my oil light come on or hear something was not right. Then, i'f check the oil and it was a quarter low. But, there was no oil on the ground anywhere i parked. So it was not leaking oil.i kept thinking it was my imagination. I kept looking for recalls to ensure there was no issue. I bought a fixd app and never saw an issue pop up for oil.

The first time we became aware of any issue was around 3/3/16 (64224mi) when we started hearing engine/muffler noise and we mentioned it when we brought car in for airbag replacement. By 7/21/16 (67233mi) we were hearing very strong motor noises and the car began to drive very rough. When we took it in they advised us we were 3qts low. From the last oil change at 60742mi that amounts to 1.0qt/2164mi. They told us we needed to do an oil consumption test. On 8/10/16 (67942mi) we were already 1qt low after only 500mi and they asked us to do an oil change when we were only at 40% according to the "oil life" indicator. By 12/2/16 when we finished the oil consumption test and they took several weeks to get back with us, they said our oil consumption was "within normal limits" according to the factory. On 1/9/17 (73743mi) we requested honda check our oil and sure enough it was down 1.8qts after 2790mi. That's 1.0qts/1500mi. They suggested we do another oil consumption test. Clearly, honda has set convenient "normal limits" in order to delay repairs that could mitigate future engine issues after our warranty (or extended warranty) has expired. We have requested that they fix this problem once and for all so we do not have to be guessing as to when we need to add oil and most importantly because it has most definitely lowered the resale value of our car and made it much harder to sell. The number one reason we purchased this car was for it's high resale value which it can no longer live up to.

Cr-v 2010excessive oil consumption.boughtthe car new.my husband drives the car to work every day for an hour.we start hearing a cranking noise coming form the engine in the cold mornings.we followrecommendations on oil changes and use synthetic oil.i check the oil regularly and add some when it needs it.i was amaze at how much oil it burn. I have had problems with excessive oil use and check engine light on two (2)dealerships recommended to replace timing belt timing chain tensionand cam shaft. 62,000 miles car was driving very bad so i did the repairs $ 1,212.40 . The dealership is telling me that's "normal". I have a mini van toyota with 273,000 miles never chance the timing belt/chain still running. Honda of america saying that burning a quart of oil every 1,000 miles is normal.that is unethical.i have done the 1,000 mile oil consumption tests when i went to the dealership and they said that my crv can burn up to a quart of oil every 1,000 miles and is nothing that they can help me.now the car start smelling oil and gas when i check the oil level.they send a letter but honda is not willing to do the repairs.

My 2010 honda cr-v is burning excessive engine oil. Engine oil runs very low causing poor acceleration. Oil needs to be added weekly to fix the problem.engine oil should not be burning this quickly. Clearly something is wrong.

Takata recallcar is sputtering, and then stalling, alarm system goes off unexpectantly, check engine light and other lights go off - reads as misfire and has to deal with emisions system. Appears to happen in other model hondas and some type of switch. Dangerous if car stalls in traffic

The engine is consuming excessive oil. To my calculations (and through an abbreviated oil consumption test through dealer), the vehicle is burning 1/2 a quart of oil every 1000 miles (no leaks). Before noticing between oil changes the car would go almost dry between changes. The oil light would flicker on and then go off, even though there was less than a quart of oil in the car. The dealer claims having to add 1/2 quartto 1 quart of oil every 1000 miles is considered normal consumption. Honda of america claims the same. Honda of america had no answer for me as to why the oil light did not remain on when car was running very low on oil. Honda of america also has no answer as to why if this is considered normal consumption there is nothing in the maintenance manual to warn the consumer that they may want to check their oil between oil changes.they will take no ownership or responsibility for the situation.

I purchased a honda crv ex 2010 on july 19 2014 at a long island city hyundai dealer.. Car runs great and smooth but i realized that while the car is idle or stop on any red light the engine seems to vibrate i went to the dealer and they have told me that that's normal in honda crv cars. And i'm trying to find out why this is happening. And i went to honda dealer and they want to charge me a $110 service fee for check up. I can't pay $110 so i can get an answer saying that everything is okay.

The warranty extension that was extended for "sticking piston rings resulting in high oil consumption" was not a problem yet during the 125,000 mile mark. A few months later our 2010 honda crv started needing much more oil.ever since we've needed to add oil at every fuel tank fill up.please push honda to extend the warranty to take care of its customers. Our crv now has just over 180,000 miles.thanks for your time with this.

I had taken my car to my local honda dealership in 2015 to check for oil leak since the oil light would come on between oil changes. They did not find any leaks and said the car was working as normal. I experienced the problem again in 2016 2 months after an oil change the light came on again. I goggled it and found that my car was subject to an extended warranty for the issue until 8 years or 125k miles. I contacted my new dealership and took my car in. My advisor stated that an oil consumption test would need to be done which consisted of and oil change and bringing it back in 1000 miles later to see more than 1 quart of oil had been burned.since i would be over the extended warranty period at the end of the test i contacted honda directly to make sure it would be covered. I spoke with rebecca who assured me that since i had started the test before the warranty period was over i would be fully covered.i took the car back at 1000 miles and that said there was no issue.in jan 2017 my oil light came on again. I took the car back to the dealership and they discovered it was burning more oil than 1 quart per 1000 miles. My car now had 127653 miles.honda is now refusing to fix the issue under the extended warranty.i spoke with the representative from american honda corpand she stated that even though i was told it would be coveredsince the process was started before the extended warranty expired that information was not correct and she would give a coaching to the representativethat noted my file.

Engine stalls while driving time to time.it lasts a few minutes.the problem was reported to a dealer after purchasing the car (new).honda dealers cannot find the cause of the problem.recently i found a youtube video that shows that it is a common problem in honda and that the cause is a faulty ignition key part.if it is true, then honda must recall it to fix the problem.it must be investigated since many honda cars are reported for the same problem, but honda seems not to know what the cause of the problem is.

Vehicle makes a grinding or coughing sound at start-up.it did not do this when bought used in 2012.now at about 98000 miles.start-up noise happens every time car starts.engine turns over, but takes a long time to actually start.it sounds like it won't start, but it does each time. I called honda, they said noise did not affect engine operation, so they would not fix it.i am fearful of engine damage or failure to start, eventually.

The contact owns a 2010 honda cr-v. The contact stated that two quarts of oil needed to be added every 1,000 miles. The vehicle was taken to atamian honda located at (150 main st, tewksbury, ma 01876) to be diagnosed. The technician confirmed the oil consumption however, the vehicle exceeded the warranty period of 8 years or 80,000 miles. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure but offered no assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 80,350.

The engine light comes on all the time and the dealer just says to unscrew and re tighten the fuel cap. Sometimes this fixes and sometimes it doesn't.

The engine makes a rattling (grinding) noise during cold starts. The noise only occurs when the weather is cold <50 degrees f and only when the engine is cold. The noise does not occur when the weather is warm and the engine is warm. The noise is most likely stemming from the vtc actuator.

Bought from honda dealer and it burns 1 quart of oil per 1000 miles. This is a known issues service bulletin 12-089. I have done an oil consumption test with them and they agree that is the problem but will not correct. I feel they mislead me during the purchase and the dealer should have informed me that there was issues with the crv oil consumption. Now they want me to pay $3000 to to correct the know issue. Honda usa refuses to correct also. This should have been a recall.

A loud start rattling noise at cold start.now it rattles while driving as well.

The contact owns a 2010 honda cr-v. While driving 20 mph, the check engine warning light illuminated. The failure recurred numerous times. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where an oil change was performed, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 80,000.

The vehicle was purchased new honda cr-v 2010 and has been services throught same place purchased since day one. The complaint of a "metal noise" dropping when reversing.i have replaced the tires, brakes, calipers, drums and rotars as they siezed, wore unevenly and "oxidized(?). I have been told the tires have an impression on them as the vehicle must have been not used for a period of time. The care is used daily. Some excused provided have been amazing.main point is that the transmission/metal noise continued while i drove the car or when my cousin was going to use it (but declined when he heard the noise) when the care goes in for servicing "noise could not be duplicated" i would leave and get home unstatisfied and due to responsibilities in life make it difficult to just go right back out to resolve the issue. It got to the point that i would take the vehicle out for test ride. Finally when i duplicated the noise. Repeatedly/annually complained and was not found until having the vehicle for over a month (gsh did provide loaner) i have returned to the service center since the car has been there, but continued to leave my car there. Now they want me to pay the deductible ($100) an additional fee for new transmission of $1510.00. This is a problem i had documented on every service since i purchased the vehicle.. When in reverse and proceed to reverse the metalic noise drops but the car still goes in motion. There were two times it did it in drive. Every service visit was routine and sceduled; recommended services were done on the spot, not when i would return for next oil change.. I am just disheartened and saddened that they have taken advantage of this female customer.... I have been made to feel that this would not have happen to a male customer.

I have a 2010 honda crv and it is consuming an excess amount of oil. I have preformed numerous tests with the dealership every 1000 miles per the test requirements for excessive oil consumption. My crv is currently using 26oz of oil or more every 1000 miles and the dealership and honda state that it is within normal range. They stated that i should check my oil every time i fill up my gas tank. They stated that if i do not check my oil every time i get gas, the level may go low and my engine can blow up. I do not think it is reasonable to have to check my oil every week for a known issue with honda crvs from 2010 and it would be a safety issue if my car stops working while driving.

This is an addition to theproblem reported earlier on odi # 10350200.engine stopped running, no lights, no navigation display.

Acceleration is still sluggish after updates.problem with engine is not fixed as it is probably a poor design. Updates made the situation better.it ran best after the updates.first had problems before it was a year old.

The contact owns a 2010 honda cr-v. The contact stated he noticed a noise in the engine. He took the vehicle to an authorized dealer several times where minor repairs were made. However, the noise was still present. The dealer then stated that they changed the power steering pump and hose. The contact still heard the noise. The contact called the service manager and was advised to take the vehicle back in. The service manager then called him back stating that he spoke with the manufacturer and could not do anything else to the vehicle. The dealer repaired it once more but the problem continued. The problem had not been remedied. The current mileage was approximately 8,000. The failure mileage was approximately 200.

The contact owns a 2010 honda cr-v. The contact was driving approximately 35-40 mph when she noticed smoke was being emitted from the rear of the vehicle. When she drove onto the emergency lane she observed that the vehicle was on fire. The fire department extinguished the fire.a fire report was filed. The vehicle was towed to an authorized dealer who stated that the failure could have been caused by the catalytic converter. The vehicle was notrepaired. The contact called the manufacturer and offered no assistance. The current and failure mileage was approximately 14,000.updated 04/06/11*lj

Exhaust leak.flexible gasket at base of catalytic converter deteriorates in heat and causes noise when catalytic converter is hot at low speeds and idle. Vehicle was at dealer 5 times with no successful repair (march, aug, oct and nov, 2010).dealer has escalated issue to honda engineering, but no estimated time for resolution.

Vehicle startermakes a noise like the starter is staying engaged after engine has started. It does not appear to be related to the outside temperature as it happens in winter and summer. Starter got worse and the car would not start.took it to dealer and was told that it had to be reproduced on demand for the dealer to do something.vehicle has surpassed 36000 mile warranty so honda will not cover the replacement of the starter. Went to personal mechanic to have starter replaced.## vin passed ## honda crv 2010 ##

I own a 2010 honda crv, there is a noticeable hesitation in accelerations from a stop or slow speed.most apparent when attempting to make a left turn against oncoming traffic as the hesitation makes these turns dangerous.as with complaints 10361582 and 10361843 (and likely others), i have taken the car into the honda dealer whose assessment is that the car is performing per specification.i suspect it has something to do with honda increasing the compression ratio for 2010, but not properly tuning the timing for all situations, but i am not a mechanic so it's just an uneducated hunch.

The contact owns a 2010 honda crv. When driving 55 mph he felthesitationin the motor. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. After a diagnostic test he was advised that the failure was a normal characteristic of the vehicle. No repairs were made. The failure mileage was 1,986.

2010 honda crv exl ac popping sound.the 1st 2010 crv that we test drove had a random popping sound coming from behind the glove compartment when the ac was turned on. We asked the dealer for another car. This car seemed to be fine and we purchased it.after about driving it a 100 miles the popping noise started on this car too.when the ac is on i get random popping noise behind the ac controls / glove compartment. Other times it will just pop when stoppingit might be something that's assembled incorrectly, and makes a popping noise as a plastic parts expands or contracts as the a/c compressor cycles on/off.this could cause some parts to pop if they are binding from incorrect assembly or tolerances that are too tight. Currently there are no service bulletins available that are addressing this problem. However i found several complaints that describe the exact same symptoms:http://www.hondasuv.com/members/showthread.php?t=50417http://www.hondasuv.com/members/showthread.php?p=435971http://www.crvownersclub.com/forums/showthread.php?p=79026honda needs to address this issues asap and fix he vehicles.

2010 honda crv.consumer writes in regards to a/c compressor clutch warranty extension and reimbursement claim.the consumer stated she noticed an increasing noise coming from the ac compressor. Even though the vehicle had been regularly serviced by honda, potential ac problems were never checked or brought to her attention. Upon having the vehicle repaired, the consumer was informed the problem was a wear and tear item, not associated with the noted failures honda's had been experiencing with the ac system for a period of nearly 10 years.

Audio system does not display folder names as indicated in owners manual. The system operates the same on all 2010 crv models and always fails in the same way. American honda motor co., inc. Will not escalate the issue to resolve it.this problem is commensurate with distracted driving practices.the doj has recommended this issue be handled by usdot and/or fbi as it involves fraudulent means to acquire customers.the issue:the audio system will not display all of the folder names (up to 700) on a flash drive as indicated in the owners manual, page 243.

While driving at 60 mph the headlights just shut off.was able to manually hold on high beam lights.the next morning all lights were working fine.called the dealer and there is no recall.

My low beam headlights don't work continuously. My hi beams work and the day running lights work but the low beams work intermittently. I was on a dark highway when i noticed my low beams were not working but when i switched to my hi beams they worked fine. Later dates the low beams worked and then didn't work on other dates. Have read many instances on line that this problem is an isolated incident with the cr-v. Different years than mine but cr-vs just the same. One of my headlights was replaced in september 2016. I only noticed the problem in december 2017 problem when i was on a dark road and highway. I don't usually drive at night.i will be taking my vehicle into honda to have the problem analyzed. My cr-v has less than 54,000 miles. Was last serviced august 14, 2017.

The contact owns a 2010 honda cr-v. The contact stated that the headlights were too dim and did not illuminate properly while driving at night. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who decided to adjust the lights. The failure recurred. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 1 and the current mileage was 30,000.updated 11/27/12*lj updated 11/29/2012

Tail lights and headlights on the vehicle dim everytime the fan kicks on. Took it to the shop twice and they said that it is normal for them to dim when the fan kicks on. The first time however they said it was the battery and they replaced it, however no improvement have been seen and they still dim which can get dangerous at night time driving.

The contact owns a 2010 honda cr-v. The contact stated that while driving 65 mph, the contact smelled gasoline. The failure was recurring.the vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnosis where it was stated that the pipe assembly joint needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired and the manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 40,000.

Catalytic converter failure. I also found out that the vehicle is covered under an excessive oil comsumption warranty which they will replace the engine piston rings due to oil entering the system. This problem will also cause oil to get into the fuel system and eventually get it the catalytic converter causing it to fouled and set efficiency codes .i am in the process of enquire to see if honda will replace the catalytic converter.

The engine light comes on all the time and the dealer just says to unscrew and re tighten the fuel cap. Sometimes this fixes and sometimes it doesn't.

At least 5 times now my 2010 honda crv-ex awd car has tried to take off on me while applyingthe brake to come to a stop. I wrote it off the first time thinking maybe my foot was still touching the gas pedal when i applied the brake. The next time it happened i looked down to make sure my foot was only on the brake. My car jumped forward, even with my foot on the brake. I threw it into neutral and the motor revved up to about 5500 rpms before it decided to stop. This has happened 3 times at a stop light and twice in a parking lot. I'm afraid to drive my own vehicle. I called the dealership and they said they had not heard of any problems similar to what i described and there were no recalls that would be related to this issue. Help! what can i do besides take it to the dealership and have it not happen and tell me nothing is wrong.

The rear, passenger-side door lock actuator began to fail on my 2010 honda crv in the later part of 2012 or early part of 2013. It originally started as a squealing noise when i would lock or un-lock the door and escalated to a loud grinding/clunking noise. The lock itself functions intermittently, often struggling or failing completely to lock and/or unlock with the key-fob or with the button on the door. The issue has seemed to spread to the rear, driver-side door lock, which now has also began to show signs of failure. A certified honda mechanic has confirmed the problem is most likely resulting from the actuator(s) failing; however, because there is no recall at this time [on this well-known and documented issue], the financial burden of replacing the faulty parts would fall solely on me.

2010 honda cr-v driver door would not open. Problem intermittenttwice. Call to dealer. No recall.

The rear, driver-side door lock actuator began to fail on my 2010 honda crv in the later part of 2012 or early part of 2013. There is a squealing noise when i lock or un-lock the door. The lock itself functions intermittently, often failing completely to lock and/or unlock with the key-fob but so far it unlocks/locks with the button on the door. When the rear driver-side door doesn't unlock, i cannot open the gate.i have to manually unlock the rear door and then i can access the gate, which is not only inconvenient but dangerous. During a previous routine maintenance at the dealership wherei bought my cr-v, a certified honda mechanic confirmed the problem is an actuator(s) failing; however, because there is no recall at this time [on this well-known and documented issue], the financial burden of replacing the faulty parts would fall solely on me.my husband has been laid off for a few months and i cannot afford this repair.it doesn't seem fair to have faithful honda owners (3 of our 4 vehicles are hondas) bear the burden of what seems to be a defect.

The contact owns a 2010 honda cr-v. The contact stated that the power liftgate and rear driver's side interior and exterior door locks failed to operate with the key fob. The contact mentioned that the two faulty power doors locks only unlatched manually. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it continued to remain for eleven consecutive weeks. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unavailable.

2010 honda cr-v. Consumer writes in regards to defective locking mechanism. *ldthe consumer stated 3 doors including the liftgate were stuck in the lock positions. The doors could only be manually locked.

The contact owns a 2010 honda cr-v. The contact stated that the locks would lock and unlock independently, preventing him from opening the doors. The contact mentioned that in one occasion he was unable to exit the vehicle. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer and the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 85,000 and the current mileage was 88,000.

The doors lock and unlock on their own while driving.also, the passenger door and hatch will not unlock.the passenger door can be unlocked manually, however, the hatch does not have a way to unlock it from the inside which poses a huge safety hazard.the doors should remain locked while the car is in drive, however, they unlock on their own which has allowed my 6 year old to open the door while the car is in motion.

The contact owns a 2010 honda cr-v. While the vehicle was at don ayres honda (4740 lima road, fort wayne, in 46808, (260) 484-0551) for routine maintenance, the contact was informed that the driver's door failed to open. The dealer replaced the driver's door latch mechanism and stated that there was a warranted repair for the door latch failure. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 46,990.

The locking actuator on the driver's side it has failed and is acting erratic. I've seen other reports of the same complaint on the same make and model of this year.

I have 2010 honda crv when i driving the crv, when the transmission is between 2th, 3th gear i hear a grinding noise coming from the transmission. Im no sure what it is, but transmission shift to the 4th gear the noise go away.

I was driving on abridge and car went out of gear and would not pull. Then it goes back in gear. It did this several times before i got home some 24 miles awayso i took car to transmission shop and found out a something had broken off the 5th gear areahad to get it fixed. Just got out of shop and paid $2838.36. So my question is is there a recall if so how do i get reimbursed?

During a repair of a recall (sticky piston, oil consumption), honda noticed the camshaft was severely deteriorated.the car was stationary during repair.

I purchased and always serviced my 2010 cr-v with garden state honda and they have service documentation from as early as november 2010 regarding a complainants a metal noise 'dropping' in through under my vehicle purchased in 2010 as early as nov 2010 and continuing every year to follow up to this present date. Now it has been 'discovered' to be an internal issue with the transmission. I am starting to take it personally that being a woman i know nothing about cars and that any funny noise is just something a woman would say. However, it is a fact that there have been several issues not address with my car until the warrantee ended and the extended warrantee is also coming to a close.over my ownership of this vehicle, other complainants mentioned i have made prior to the five year warrantee were not detected, but now have surfaced after the warrantee ended. I purchased the 2010 crv with the agreement of making bi-weekly payments and having the warrantee extended.my most recent service; complainant of noises seemed that has gone unfounded or could not reproduce the noise/problem was finally found after i return to retrieve my vehicle for a third time and after paying a service bill of nearly $700.00 on the first return. After taking it on a road test, the problem existed and my car now pulled to the right. The car remained and when i returned to get my vehicle as no issue could be found and they 'gave me a free alignment'. Technician,'izzy' and myselfdid road test & duplicated the noise again (existing since 2010)' duplicating it mulitiple times; now find out an internal issue with the transmission exists.previously, honda of white plains did oil change & said to return to gsh as rear brakes were seizing. That was fixed after two service trips to gsh. Mr. Timothy mahon (rip) heard it but i guess dead men can tell no tales.

Transmission constantly hesitates to downshift when more power is required, even if i press accelerator all of way to the floor. Many time it places me in dangerous situation, particularly while merging on the highway.

The honda crv 2010, i have had issues where the awd has not kicked in and the car has gone into slids and oversteer where it did not stablize the car from sliding. Going about 10 mph and the car slid in the snow, the tires were good and it seems the awd is not working properly. In europe honda issued a software upgrade for this issue but blatentley refuses to issue the proper software upgrade for the awd system for this car.here is the link ahttps://www.carthrottle.com/post/attention-all-honda-owners-your-4x4-crv-might-not-be-a-4x4-after-all/after this posting honda issued and update for europe but not the us. Honda is putting drivers lives at risk by not updating the awd system for not only honda crv 2010 models but all future models.the awd system has failed on multiple occasions.

The contact owns a 2010 honda cr-v. While driving approximately 60 mph, the vehicle decelerated and suddenly accelerated up to 80 mph independently. The brake pedal was depressed and failed to respond. The contact was able to avoid an accident. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure and the vin was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 11v395000 (power train). The failure mileage was 60,000.

The contact owns a 2010 honda cr-v. The contact was driving 15 mph when the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the dealer advised the contact that the vin failed to qualify for repairs under nhtsa campaign id number:11v395000 (power train:automatic transmission:control module -tcm,pcm). The manufacturer was not contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 5,600 and the current mileage was 5,624.

My 2010 honda crv rolls back while on an incline in drive.dealership says that is customary with the hondas.it rolls back and will only stop when you press the accelerator.

Acceleration is still sluggish after updates.problem with engine is not fixed as it is probably a poor design. Updates made the situation better.it ran best after the updates.first had problems before it was a year old.

The vehicle makes a straining sound, as if it were in first gear while driving.the steering makes a loud noise when turning in either direction.i had dealer check it and was told the hydraulic fluid pump needs to be replaced, fluid appears to be leaking.

2010 honda crv.consumer writes in regards to transmission problems.the consumer stated in may 2012, the vehicle shifted from 5th gear to 3rd gear, while traveling at 65-70 mph on the interstate. The consumer stated the cruise control was engaged at the time of the incident. It happened twice again. On each occasion, he moved to the shoulder, turned the ignition off, put the gear shift in park, started the engine, re-set the cruise control, and proceeded.

The 2010 cr-v has very sluggish acceleration from low speed and from a dead stop.we have a driveway that slopes down, and we have to floor the gas pedal to go up the drive way and even then it goes at a snail's pace. It is difficult to turn into traffic with out having to floor the gas pedal and even then, it can still be inconsistently sluggish (you never know how fast you start going or if you will start going).we have been in a number of near miss situations before we realized that since we can't judge whether the car will actually respond to the gas pedal, there can't be any cross traffic if we are going to pull out. I have contacted the dealer who acknowledges that there is a problem and that one of their service engineers has the cr-v and found the same thing, however, nothing is being done to mitigate the problem.isgoing to take traffic accidents and deaths before honda does something about this issue?

2010 honda crv bought new. We have a driveline vibration noticed the day we took it home.we have 5 repair orders for the same problem with no resolution. 1 of the repair orders was done by an independent garage who noted the vibration and what he thought needed to be done but no repair was made. We are working with a lemon law attorney but don't feel like we are on the right track. I am a auto technician and not much of what i said was done. Honda is now trying to walk away from us. The lawyer said she filed a claim with honda 2 times and it was "denied". I don't understand that since the massachusetts lemon law, m.g.l. Ch 907n 1/2 states that it is presumed that the lemon law is satisfied if either of the following requirements is met:1. The car was presented for repair on 3 or more occasions for the same nonconformity within one year or 15,000 miles from the date of original delivery of the car and the problem still exists.. We clearly fit this but the 1st time around with the lawyer she said we did not qualify and said " i understand you have experienced "issues" with your vehicle but some of the "issues" you have experienced do not fall under the lemon law. Concerns related to brakes, rotors, tires, wheels, alignments, cosmetic issues, wear & tear- are all items specifically excluded in your warranty booklet and although the dealer may decide to perform repairs at no cost under "good-will", they do fall within the lemon law so the manufacturer is not liable and therefore will not make you an offer of settlement. "this is not a "wear and tear problem if the car is new!!!!

Extremely sluggish acceleration from low speeds and from a stop.it is awful to try to merge with traffic on entrances of interstates and highways and just crossing streets that require decent acceleration.this is a hazard to me and those coming on the main roads as well as vehicles following my entrance into traffic.we have connected honda customer service and the dealer.both have acknowledged there is a problem, but as of now have no corrections.we were told that the car is performing as designed.are they waiting until there are deaths associated with the performance of the 2010 crv like toyota did?

2010 honda crv. Consumer states unintended acceleration *tgwthe consumer stated as he/she slowed down with his/her foot on the brake to park, the vehicle continued in motion. Before the consumer realized what was happening, she/he had already hit a fence, which ripped the bumper from the vehicle. The consumer received a recall notice and believed the recall was the reason he/she experienced the failure.

The contact owns a 2010 honda cr-v. The contact started the ignition, and shifted into park with the brake pedal engaged, suddenly the vehicle surged forward. The intermittent failure occurred whenever shifting into the park position. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer six times for the identical failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The technician stated the failure was common and the vehicle operated normally. The contact stated there was a recall related to the defect under nhtsa campaign id number 11v395000 (power train: automatic transmission: control module (tcm, pcm); however, the vin was not included. The manufacturer was made aware of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 1,465.... Updated 09/19/11the consumer stated the vehicle would lunged forward intermittently. The rpm's would fluctuate. There was fluid leaking from the vehicle and there was a vibration upon acceleration. Updated 01/19/12

I bought crv ex 2w in april, 2010.i noticed a driveline vibration either from transmission or engine when i drive on downhill highway and underpowered in 40-50 mph.it seemed that 5th gear refused to downshifted.i reported it in few days, but the dealer told me that nothing was wrong.i continued to have the same problem; i took it to another dealer twice. One time the dealer mechanic noticed that something was not right, but later they told me that nothing was found wrong.i saw service bulletin to upgrade engine software, so i took it to the dealer in march 2011.they said that they did not know of the bulletin.i showed the copy of the bulletin issued on nov 2010.they acknowledged it, and upgraded the software.it improved a little bit of the underpower problem, but did not fix the drive line vibration in driving on downhill highway.a few times, i was afraid that the engine would fall apart from the car. The worst time of it is when i drive it first in the morning though i warm up the engine enough.

I recently purchased a brand new 2010 honda cr-v ex-l on 29 may 2010. I didn't expect to have any problems with a brand new vehicle; however, i unfortunately discovered a very annoying problem with the front passenger's seat belt retractor. Similar to the problem discussed in the honda service bulletin 05-073, 'a squeak or rattle is heard from the seat belt retractors while driving over bumps or rough roads.' my problem comes from the front passenger seat and not the rear seats.i contacted the dealer i purchased the vehicle from, and they said the problem cannot be repaired. However, the service bulletin 05-073 states the issue was remedied by installing a rubber floor boot to insulate the retractors from the body.

On the morning of may 17, 2013,my wife, daughter and i were flying out of town. My wife was in the passenger seat and our daughter in the rear seat.we had a normal drive up to the airport. We parked at express south parking inside the dfw airport to catch the shuttle to our terminal.while my wife and i came out of our car and put our luggage in the shuttle, my daughter did not get out of the car. When we checked on her, we found that she was stuck in her seat and could not get out. It was a big surprise for us to find someone stuck in the car seat who could not get out.although she had removed the belt from the buckle, she was stuck between the lap belt that was on her lap and the shoulder strap that had gone on her back side.she is of short height (51). We found that the belt was locked and it had become a noose around her waist.we tried very hard to pull the belt to free her but it was very tightly locked and could not be pulled.this created a situation where the belt became a noose.it became a panic situation for us seeing our child stuck in the car and unable to move. Luckily, after a few minutes of trying, my wife realized that we had a pair of scissors in our luggage.we cut the belt to free her. Although we were lucky that my did not suffer any injury, this problem with belts can lead to a potentially very serious safety situation. For example, in case of an accident or fire, the passenger would not be ableto get out of the car this will have serious and deadly consequences.

The vehicle filed virginia safety inspection because the driver's seat belt was severely frayed.the vehicle has only 23,008 miles on it.the repair shop installed a new seatbelt (genuine honda part) and advised me to contact honda.the repair shop returned the defective seat belt to me to aid in my claim.i contacted honda of north america and was advised to see my local dealership (hall honda).at the honda dealership i was told they would not "touch" something that had already been replaced.i then called honda north america back and informed them of hall's verdict.the situation has not been resolved at this point, but i wanted to report this in case there may be other owners with the same issue, their safety may be jeopardized as well.

In was exiting off of i 12 on millerville, in baton rouge, la., i stopped, turn left to check for traffic and when i turn back around i was crashing with the truck in front of me.when the police came he ask was i hurt i told him my chest was hurting because i hit my steering wheel.he ask if i was wearing my seat belt, i told him yes.when the to truck driver open my car door on the driver side to get in because he was preparing my car to be towed, that's when i saw that my seat belt had broken.the side panel inside the car that hold the seat belt had came open, the seat belt would not retract back in the panel,it was just sitting on the floor of my car.i then call the police officer to show him since he had question me about wearing my seat belt.the seat belt will have to be repair because it broke during the accident. I took a picture of the side panel and the seat belt.i would also like to say i have never seen this happen in a car before( in other car accidents) where the seat belt compartment comes a loose.

The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing of the failure. The manufacturer opened case number: 08766303 and referred the contact to nhtsa. The approximate failure mileage was 62,000.

Drivers side seat assembly broke and defective. A seat assembly should not break especially on the drivers side.the metal seat assembly broke on drivers side. Dealer service rep said they have seen a few these seat assemblies breaking on the honda crv 2010 model year.this is extremely dangerous as when you go to accelerate the seat pushes back and your foot looses control of the accelerator.this should be a recall or at least a technical bulletin.

The vehicle stability assistance light wont come on.

I was turning into a parking space at my office, speed < 5mph, applied the brakes to make the turn. There were construction workers at the site, speed bumps and children coming and going. I was very attentive to all these circumstances as i turned into the spot. Suddenly there was an unexpected acceleration of the car with no ability to brake the vehicle, which did not stop until it hit a brick wall that was directly in front of the car, perhaps just 8-10 feet away.when the first attempt to brake did not work, i hit the brake a second time.still nothing.after i hit the wall, a contraction worker who saw the entire thing came over to check on me. (i did have a seatbelt on, and the airbag did not deploy.) i felt like i was okay, but was shook up and confused. I told him what happened. He stated that he could smell the brakes, which were so hot from trying to stop the car. Substantial front end damage was incurred, and the car was towed to a body shop.assessment there showed that there were no problems with the brake itself and there was plenty of brake fluid in the reservoir. I believe this is another incident, like others have reported, where the car accelerates as the brakes are tapped.i consider this car to be dangerous at this point, and i am waiting for the insurance company to determine if they will total it. I have not had this problem before, but have had a few times when there was a lag in the acceleration.i haven't talked to honda yet, but i will do so this weekend.

Incredibly fast wear on one left rear brake pads and grinding sound at all speeds. Visually checked all the brakes - the pads on all 3 are normal with little wear, but the left rear is totally worn. This happened within a few weeks. Also the rotors are worn uneven with "pitted" surface.this is not the due to a usage, but due to some mechanical problem. The problem is severe - i can not drive a vehicle!!!

This has happened twice. In april 2013, i was driving on an interstate. To avoid hitting a slowing car, i tapped the brake and turned the wheel slightly to move completely back into the right lane.the car accelerated exponentially, as if overdrive had been turned off or cruise control had kicked in (cruise was not on).the car sped uncontrollably first toward the right shoulder and then to the left while i turned the wheel to stay on the road.this happened half a dozen times before the car finally stopped.the second event occurred while pulling into a front end parking space at an office building.speed was not sufficient to register on the odometer. Tapping the brake caused the car to accelerate as described previously, heading toward a brick wall about 8 feet away.i removed my foot from the brake, but the car continued to accelerate.i was able to turn the car and avoid the wall, but took out all the front plantings, a light pole and a small tree, doing almost $3,000 damage to my car plus more for the building.i immediately took the car to my local honda service. Their response: we could not duplicate the problem. Bring it back when this happens again. For a while i have accepted this diagnosis, but another occurrence could cause serious injury to property, to me or to others.i have read of other incidents with this vehicle.i am pursuing this matter with honda.this must be fixed!

The contact owns a 2010 honda cr-v. The contact stated that while the brake pedal was depressed, the vehicle accelerated causing the vehicle to crash into a gate and a parked vehicle. The contact mentioned the brake pedal was depressed the entire time however, failed to stop the vehicle. The contact contacted the auto body shop where they informed the contact that the failure was undetermined. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the failure was a known issue. The approximate failure mileage was 65,000.

The vehicle has been driven less than 30,000 miles (on average approximately 5,500 miles a year). It has not been subject to unusual weather conditions of any type. The brake rotors have rusted and need to be replaced. It is my understanding that this is a result of a manufacturing defect that is a common occurrence for honda cr-v model years 2007 - 2010.honda made the necessary changes to correct the defect on subsequent model years. The dealership, criswell honda in germantown, md, charged me to resurface the rotors which did not fix the problem because of the inherent defect. The rotors have not been subject to "wear and tear" . My discussions with the service manager have indicated that honda is fully aware of the problem and is essentially indifferent to the defect and insists upon charging the customer for the repair. Because of the inherent brake defect it is not at all clear that the "repair" will address the problem. I have the rotor resurface invoice but there is no dispute that i was charged for a "repair" that did not fix the defect. There may be a technical memo from honda to dealerships that references the problem. Please contact american honda to discuss this defect. Thank you.

The contact owns a 2010 honda cr-v. The contact stated that the vehicle was included in nhtsa campaign number: 16v061000 (air bags). The contact was provided with a rental vehicle. The contact was advised to leave the vehicle at the dealer while waiting for the recall repair. The contact stated left the vehicle with the dealer for several months. Due to the vehicle being parked for such a length of time, the rotors and brakes had rusted. The contact had the vehicle diagnosed by the dealer where it was diagnosed that the rotors and brakes needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and advised the contact to file a safety complaint. The failure mileage was unknown. Updated 10/13/16*lj

The contact owns a 2010 honda cr-v. While driving 20 mph, the vehicle accelerated rapidly without warning and lost all braking ability. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 78,000.

Premature rear brake wearing.

2010 honda cr-v. The driver experienced a vehicle malfunction and the vehicle suddenly stalled. The driver was then rear ended by another vehicle that was following too closely.the consumer stated he activated the cruise control and then felt it disengage as he slowed down. However, approximately 30 seconds after the disengagement, the brakes seized completely and caused the vehicle to come to an abrupt stop. (ohio traffic crash report # 10-0706-91) updated 01/14/11

I purchased my crv from hersons honda onjanuary 28, 2010 with 13 miles.i did my a1 maintenance service on june 14, 2010 with 4,676 miles and my b1 service was done on sept. 18, 2010 with 9,853 miles.both services were completed at hersons honda service department.in nov. I called hersons honda service depart. To report problems with my brake pedal sinking to the floor and sliding forward while i am waiting at a traffic light.much to my surprise, the service depart. Informed me that it was not unusual with hondas and they assured me that there is no need for concern.on the contrary, the problem became worse. On dec. 14, my colleague and i were driving down a ramp in a parking garage when the brake pedal again failed and caused me considerable distress as i feared for my safety and that of my passenger. On dec. 15, 2010, i took my crv to hersons service depart. Forinspection.they informed me that my brake fluid was contaminated, all the seals are swollen, it was unsafe to drive the car and it will cost me $5402.00 to repair it.i asked to speak with the service manager to find out how my brake fluid got contaminated and when they could repair it since my car was only 12,566 miles and still under warranty.the service manager told me that they would not fix the problem with the brakes, suggesting it was my fault and that it was not covered under warranty.i requested for the phone number of american honda and reported the problem.american honda said that they will investigate and come back to me.to date my car has not been corrected and it has been with herson's honda for over 30 days.

During a routine state inspection, the shop mechanic said power steering fluid was leaking and he believed it to be the rack and pinion.over the next week, the steering wheel became abnormally difficult to maneuver .the vehicle was taken to the mechanic where they stated that there was a leak from the rack and pinion, which needed to be replaced. In my 2010 honda crv by freeman honda.i am now at (approx. 72,000 mi.) and it is leaking again and needs to be replaced.i think that freeman honda installed a defective steering rack.they are refusing to honor the work that they did.

Leaking rack & pinion boots detected during oil change on 2/06/2017 at dealership.

Rack and pinion steering started leaking power steering fluid into the bellow that covers the inner tie rod ends.this car does not even have 50,000 miles on it. Certainly the steering system should last longer than this.

The vehicle makes a straining sound, as if it were in first gear while driving.the steering makes a loud noise when turning in either direction.i had dealer check it and was told the hydraulic fluid pump needs to be replaced, fluid appears to be leaking.

My car is stationary, took it in to have air bags replaced, dealership calls and says that my rack and pinion needs to be replaced at a cost of $1,300. How long before this goes out completely or what do i do in this case? i can't afford it.

2010 honda crv. Consumer statestwo weeks after purchasing the vehicle, she began to experience throttle lag, or acceleration delay while merging on to the expressway.*tgwthe dealer informed the consumer the problem was due to electrical impulses resulting from the construction and engineering of the vehicle.

I think this is a very generic problem on many cars.please see a photo attached.many cars have a shiny reflective stainless steel logo in the center of the steering wheel.sometimes, the shiny logo reflects sunlight directly to the eyes of the driver.no shiny objects inside a car, please.

Our honda crv has 180,000 mile on it. A couple months ago, a couple of the doors did not open for a few days and then start working again. It has done this a couple of times.i've read that many others have had this problem.the doors affected was the back drivers door and the back hatch.the times it happened i was starting to drive and i would hear the locks click closed and open several times.

Missing weld spots on the 2010 honda crv- rear left box of torque arm connecting wheel to body frame- major body structure defects-repaired once on nov 18-19- problem came back again. Had a discussion with honda regarding safety of body - i fear safety issues and want them to cancel the car lease and take the vehicle back- they are not agreeing and are referring me to the dealer. The dealer rick case, is referring me to honda. When i told them i will report this to nhtsa, they asked me to go ahead- obviously they do not have much respect for the nhtsa. Can the nhtsa please help by conducting an investigation about whether this is a major safety issue before an accident occurs. Can the nhtsa instruct the manufacturer to take this car off the road until this is fixed to the customer's satisfaction?

Driver side door won't unlock. First time i tried to unlock all doors wouldn't unlock and i was trapped inside my car. Not electrical as windows proceeded to roll down/up. Dealership wants to and i quote "break door to see what problem is". I think not. Key fob doesn't unlock any door but key fob will lock all doors. Have to manually unlock at driver side door and then go enter passenger side door to enter vehicle. Safety hazard for sure.

I had an airbag recall on my honda crv 2014 at12943 jefferson ave, newport news 23608 there were suspose to fix my vehicle andi been have major problem with my car ever since the total vehicle problems and cost.

I've recently noticed that the locks on my front passenger door and rear door are malfunctioning.usually upon stopping and placing the vehicle in park, all doors unlock.however, now neither my front passenger door nor my rear door will unlock themselves upon stopping and parking.further, these same locks will not respond to the remote entry unlock button.this concerns me because i regularly drive with my 2-year-old son, and now i'm afraid that the other doors will begin to malfunction as well, and potentially trap someone inside the car.because this is a recent issue i've not had a chance to have the vehicle looked at, but i've read online about many other consumers with a similar issue in their cr-vs, so i'd like to know more about remedies for this problem.thanks in advance for your time in addressing this concern.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer but the failure was unable to be determined. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 97,000. The vin was unavailable.

The back suspension ripped out of the frame while driving down the road . Through me all over the road

I purchased a new 2010 honda cr-v and it is used regularly. The tire pressure has been low on several occasions due to nail in the tire or just low pressure. However, never has the sensor activated for this or made me aware that there is a low tire pressure issue. The car is regularly brought to be serviced at the honda center. I have two sets of tires on the vehicle that have worn in different condition.

The contact owns a 2010 honda cr-v.while driving at an unknown speed a tire pressure monitoring system service light illuminated on the dashboard.the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the contact was informed there was a bad seal on the tires.the tires were resealed and the failure had not recurred.the failure and current mileages were 700.

Ac compressor is defective and needs replacing.this is a known issue, but hasn't been recalled by honda.

I have 2010 honda crv when i driving the crv, when the transmission is between 2th, 3th gear i hear a grinding noise coming from the transmission. Im no sure what it is, but transmission shift to the 4th gear the noise go away.

Michelin defender xt green x tires are cracked and separating around all the tread.only have 35,000 miles on tires and are less than 4yrs old.some cracking is also on sidewalls but mostly in the tread.also have vibration at 60+ mph due to tread separating from tire. This is the 4th vehicle i have had these tires dry rot and cracking.i have replaced all of my tires.i did the michelin warranty on one vehicle and it was a nightmare, no dealers honor the warranty and they lie to customers saying tires are safe.please have michelin recall the defender green x line of tires before someone gets hurt.dot codes:225/65r17b93t02bx1114b93t02bx0914

Ac compressor stopped working

Single owner of vehicle, bought brand new. For last 18 months or more...large oil consumption, about 1100 miles per synthetic oil change. Sounds like a lawnmower when starting vehicle. Terrible "pick-up". Very low gas mileage, used 87 unleaded for entire life of car.currently averging about 12 miles per gallon (highway/around town combined). Taken to local honda dealership many times with no real solution although posts all over internet with same problems.

Driving first in the morning on highway (downhill), dthe driveline vibrates at 60 mph and above.it felt like engine is not running fast enough to catch up the transmission speed.and fithe gear is engaged at 40-50 mph, and does not downshifted to 4th or lower gear.it underpowers the car.

Honda air conditioning. My car has had nothing but problems with its air. My air died again & when i went online i saw that honda had a class action suit that i was never informed of, which involved my car. I spoke with honda on friday & they asked me to bring my car in for diagnostic, which i did the next day in 95 degree heat. When the dealership found out i was aware of the class action suit & that i had contacted honda, they did everything they could to shift blame for the problem onto us, as my husband had put freon into the car. The diagnostic was supposed to be free, but within minutes, their rep was asking me to pay $225 for a diagnostic, which i can't afford, as i am disabled. When the car was finished they told me that they wouldn't cover anything, as it was my husbands fault the condenser was bad & that it would be $1800 to have it fixed or i could trade it in on another car. Oh, & that i shouldn't use the air system at all, as it could spew out metal shards which could cause further damage. If we had been notified that there was an issue with the air, we would have never touched the system, & to me it seemed that honda is trying to screw honda owners over by not taking responsibility for something that should have been recalled. There are thousands of complaints filed about this issue & i'm sure there are thousands more people, like myself, that had no knowledge that there was a defect in this system. They notified me when my car had the problems with catching fire, & notified & then took their sweet time replacing my airbags, so why wouldn't they notify me about something as serious as metal shards blowing into my face & body? i am disabled & only use my car to get back & forth to my medical appointments & can't afford $1800 for a car i only use occasionally? it is a 2010 with 52k miles. Can someone help honda owners please?

Driving at highway speeds, the rear driver side wheel assembly detached at the frame causing an unexpected fishtail to a stop.fortunately the roads were icy that the tire was able to skid and we avoided rolling over.after researching this issue online i found that these crv's are being recalled in canada for excessive corrosion to rear frame stiffeners years 2007-2011 resulting in what happened to us.why is this not being done in the united states?

Honda dealership does not have airbag parts nor does it knowwhen if ever the parts will be available; dealership should be instructed to disable the killer airbag until the parts become available.

2010 honda cr-v, blows cold on drivers side and hot on passenger side when heater is on.every attempt to change settings were unsuccessful in any change.this is happening when in parked position or while driving.

Driver side door will not unlock with power button or manually with a key. Called honda customer service and they will not cover the expenses to fix, eventhough they've had a recall on the same issue. Unfortunately, my vin number apparently has no complaints.dont know what to do!?

Door locks failed and do not properly unlock. Replacement of actuators on multiple doors required.

It was pouring rain and i had gone through water.i stopped at a traffic light waiting to turn right, the light changed and the car would barely move.but when it did and i stopped at the next light, approx. 1/2 mile down the road again it would barely move and i do mean barely.the person behind me got out and pushed me out of the road by hand.both the "low oil pressure indicator" and "charging system indicator" lights were on. I turned the car off for a few minutes and then it started again and ran fine.luckily i wasn't on the freeway.i took it to the dealer who said it was probably "just a fluke".well low and behold on july 23, 2015 i had to drive thru blinding rain and when i drove thru approx. 6" of water on the road, the car stalled out again.it started after a few minutes and then stalled again.i pulled over and sat for a few minutes and then it started fine and has run fine since.this makes me feel very unsafe.is there anything i can do to get this problem solved because one can't help driving in rain at times.

No access to spare tirecannot access spare tire in hatchback - unable to open hatchbackdue to lock actuator failure and vehicle is not equipped with an external unlock mechanism at the hatchback.unsafe if a tire fails.no access to the spare tire.

Locks intermittently lock and unlock while driving and in park. This afternoon my son was locked in the car for several minutes as we prayed and waited for them to unlock again to get him out in the blazing florida heat. This is definately a safety hazard.

Problems with the air conditioning condensers or compressors.the ac compressor may seize resulting in loss of cold air from the ac vents. Often when the compressor fails in the fashion, debris is spread through out the entire air conditioning system resulting in very expensive repairs.problem datarepairpal verifiedaverage mileage: 102,280 (22,500'260,000)17 model years affected: 1997, 1999, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015

The ac compressor failed.the mechanic said that the car should not have this problem at this mileage and year.i checked online and saw that it was a problem that many people have dealt with but honda has not yet issued a recall for the 2010 model.

Tpms light on all the time. Tire pressure and valve stems checkout. Problem in computer.

Air conditioner problem that didn't arise until well after the 7 year or 100,000 miles. I am on year 9 and 7,000 miles over and nothing can be done about this.it is a known issues and it is still happening. A friend of mine has a crv also but a 2017 to my 2010 and he has the same issue.not as bad but still.why should we have to pay out of pocket for something honda knows about and still puts in there vehicles!

When car is on, stationary & driving for both issues: noxious smelling fumes since i got the car. Had it check by honda dealer in 2011 and was told that there was no problem. I often get nauseated, but my daughter and husband gets very nauseated and headache, general un-wellness all the time they are in the car. It seems to be getting worst. This car also has a vibration problem that has always been a part of this model as well.

Airconditioning blowing cold and hot; many reports of this on websites regarding 2010 honda crv. The blower is working fine but the air conditioning goes from cold to neutral over and over again with no other symptoms. Vehicle is on and in motion when this happens. There is no recall that i can find regarding the situation.

My air conditioner was working fine on aride down to yakee stadium, on the way home it just would not work, he garae mech. Told me the compressor was not working, i bought this car in oct. Of 2009, the 2009 models and before had recalls for this problem, i was wondering if my car has the same problem, i checked the heater it orks just fine.maybe my air system is still the sme as the 2009 models asbought it in 2009.

Takata recall--checking to understand if my vehicle needs a revision.

Brakes won't stop car and gas surging, need to place gear to park to lower the surging of the gas. This happens occasionally car is a honda crv ex purchased new w/160 odometer reading on dec. 27 2009 at scott robinson honda inc , torrance, ca.

The contact owns a 2010 honda cr-v.the contact stated that while the vehicle was stopped, the vehicle would lunge forward at anytime.the dealer was unable to unable to diagnose the failure.the manufacturer was notified, but denied any assistance with repairs to the vehicle.the vehicle was not repaired.the failure mileage was 6,000 and the current mileage was 12,000.

The contact owns a 2010 honda cr-v. The contact stated that while in a parking area pulling into a parking space, the vehicle had an extensive unintended acceleration, the brake pedal was applied however the vehicle surged forward. The vehicle veered to the right, crashing into a parked vehicle at a high rate of speed which had stopped the vehicle. The air bags failed to deploy. An incident report was filed by the police department. The driver sustained no injuries and medical treatment. The dealer bernardi honda in natick, 960 worcester st, natick, ma 01760, (508) 319-5400 was notified of the failure and was waiting on the manufacturer to determine when the insurance company may have the vehicle towed to the dealer. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and was assigned a case worker who informed that once the vehicle was released from the auto body shop it would be towed to a dealer for a mechanical and computer analysis. The failure mileage was not available.

On june 9 2016 after making a routine left turn from a full stop my 2010 honda crv kept accelerating uncontrollably. There was nothing on the accelerator pedal except my right foot which i immediately released; however, the car kept acceleratingwith nothing on the accelerator pedal. I used the full force of mybody to apply brake pressure, but this would not stop the car; it merely slowed it down somewhat but the car was still accelerating. I had to maintain and increase this constant full body force exertion on the brake pedal as the car kept accelerating.after about 45 seconds i immediately threw the transmission into neutral whereupon the rpmssurged way past 7000 (once again there was no pressure on the accelerator pedal and nothing was touching it) & past the corresponding red line on the tachometer. After approximately another 15 seconds i threw it back into drive with the full force of my body still on the break pedal and no pressure on the accelerator pedal and i managed to maneuver andturn hard the vehicle into a vacant driveway whereupon i shut off the engine. Thereafter, the engine area smoked for about 30 seconds. I waited approximately 5 minutes and carefully started the car again, backed out of the driveway and drove slowly down the nearby road to see if it was going to occur again. It did not. I drove a the car home a few miles away, did not use it again that day and the very next day (june 10, 2016) i went to the honda dealer.the dealer was unable to find any fault codes or anything mechanically wrong. They claimed the accelerator was okay, there were no codes in the system and the brake over ride was working (which it was not as i previously statedbecause i had to put the full force of my body on the brake pedalto merely even slow it down somewhat but the car was still moving uncontrollably) and they could not duplicate the problem.

Honda cr-v, 2010, 6000 miles has serious problems as to pick up and lacking adequate acceleration from stop. During turns loses rpm and creates dangerous slow down. American honda as well as the hamilton honda (dealer) have accepted that suv has a problem but refuse to offer a remedy or take the car back.

Sudden, unexpected acceleration: i was parking at my works parking lot, the car was not moving, when all of a sudden the car accelerated out of control, crossed the parking lot and hit the building full force, airbag deployed. I suffered mild injuries thanks to the seat belt and airbag protection. The car was towed and is being assessed by the insurer.

The windshield popped driving down the road without anyone in front of me to get something thrown onto the window.it spider web split from the bottomin between the windshield wipers all the way to where the rearview mirror is attached before it stopped cracking.this split happened without 20 minutes of driving once it popped.

I purchased a 2010 honda cr v in november of 2009. In january the vehicle had around 2300 miles. My wife and i took a vacation and left the vehicle parked in her parent's private driveway. Four days into our vacation, my father-in-law noticed that our driver's side window was "foggy looking". He got closer to the vehicle and noticed that the tempered glass window was spider-ed and pushed out toward the exterior of the vehicle. He took the vehicle to the dealer and they replaced the window. The dealer would not honor our warranty, but still replaced the window. I believe this was a manufacturing defect. I also believe this could be serious if it happens when someone is driving down the road and this defect occurs.

I think this is a very generic problem on many cars.please see a photo attached.many cars have a shiny reflective stainless steel logo in the center of the steering wheel.sometimes, the shiny logo reflects sunlight directly to the eyes of the driver.no shiny objects inside a car, please.

Rear glass shattered spontaneously on the parking lot after starting the car. No passing cars (or stones) around. No damage to rear glass prior to accident.

The windshield is badly distorted. It looks like bubbles inside of the glass making visibility extremely difficult. I can not see out of windshield and am concerned that being unable to see i will end up in a crash. Honda dealer refuses to replace windshield stating it is an insurance issue.it is not an insurance issue; it is clearly a manufacturing defect.

I was driving on the freeway at 70mph. It was 10pm.we heard a loud noise, sounding like stones flying up and hitting what i thought was the underside of the car.the next morning i saw the sun roof had exploded.the remaining glass looked as if itwas pushed up from the inside like a volcanic eruption.there was no other damage to the roof.no other cars around and no over passes.there is a web site where hundreds of people have shared similar stories about many different car manufactures with the same defective sunroof glass issues.

Had 2 cracks on my 2010 honda cr-v windshield in 3 days.latest one happened when i was driving home and i heard a loud pop and felt debris on my hands and arms.there was no car in front of me and i just passed the vehicle head of an 18-wheeler on the other side of the road and suppose it was a rock that hit my windshield.it broke through the first layer of the windshield (created a hole about the size of a quarter) and shattered the second layer with several 6-8 inches of cracks going in all directions.the debris i felt were the broken pieces from shattered glass.some were quite large (with the biggest one i found a length of 1/2 in) and sharp.they were all over my shirt, laps, hands, and arms.when i tried to remove some on the seat, one piece pinched my finger although no cut was found.

Rusted wheel bearings & rustedknuckle that bearing is seated in. Vehicle is garaged & has 46000 miles.service manager said it is a common problem with hondavehicles.knuckle broke when attempt to remove at honda dealership.blamed on rust.

Driver side rear tire blew up due to manufacturing defect. Fortunately there was no traffic and it did not cause an accident. Bridgestone, dealership, and honda motor company was contacted in that order but no remedy has been offered by any of these parties.
