Intermittent check air bag system warning.randomly comes on while driving. Started about june 2019.took in to dealer to check but they could not find an error code. Warning did not show again until may 2020.has happened more often since but is still intermittent.while the warning was on took to dealer and had it checked while car was still running.read an error code of b0001:13, open or increased resistance in the driver's airbag first inflator.warning has not come on since then. Made an appointment with dealer to check system again. Code seems to reset and clear on its own.

Since the summer of 2020, my airbag system warning light had been sporadically coming on as i was driving.i attributed simply to putting a heavy item in the passenger seat, i.e., a purse.then, within the last two week, starting around november, it came onmore often, everytime i drove.g dealer diagnosed it today as needing an airbag assembly kit due to codeb0001 13.the dealer indicates it will cost $1,433.86.plus, i wascharges $120.00 for the diagnosis.american honda co. Refuses to help me with the cost.i have no other transportation and am a retired senior citizen.

I was in a car accident on friday september 29th, the whole front end of the car was damaged and the airbags did not deploy. My vehicle is not part of the takata recall.

We were stopped in traffic, seat belts were fastened, turn signal on, and we were rear-ended by a work van moving at very high speed.our car was totaled.the front seats were broken due to the impact.no airbags deployed. Not front, not side.

The contact owns a 2015 honda civic. While driving approximately 60 mph, the vehicle drove over a bump in the road and the driver's side air bag erroneously partially deployed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. There were no injuries. An unknown dealer was notified of the failure. The manufacturer was not contacted. The vin was not available. The failure mileage was 60,000.

I have the air bags ligh on in my car .,i need to check that .. I bought this car with the light on

I purchased this car last month and it has remained in my garage because i'm too afraid to drive it.i know about the air bag issue and want to know when this car will appear on the recall list so i can get it fixed asap and start driving it!

Air bag light goes on and off randomly for the past 6 months.

At around 130k miles, air bag light comes on. Goes on and off sporadically. Been doing this over 2 months. Happens anytime from when starting the car, to driving, stationary, turning, anywhere.

The contact owns a 2015 honda civic. The contact stated that while parking, the air bags inadvertently deployed causing the vehicle to crash into another vehicle. A police report was filed. It was unknown if there were any injuries reported. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 5,000. Updated 02/23/16*lj

Takata recall i just want to make sure my airbags are working and not defective, because my light to my airbags come on and off every day , it will come on once i get down the street and jump off and then come right back on . Not sure what's going on with them.

Takata airbag goes off when a passenger sit in the passenger seat of the car

The vehicle (v-2) was involved in a collision at the 1-5 nb cypress off ramp in redding california in evening peak hour traffic (at 1810).v-2 was struck by v-1, which in turn pushed v-2 into v-3.both v-1 and v-2 were stationary at the time of collision.v-1, a isuza trooper sustained minor front end damage.v-2 received minor front end damage, and major rear end damage.v-3, a kia soul received minor rear end damage.the issue is that the v-2 airbag did not deploy or the seat-belt restrain the driver in the vehicle.the driver struck the steering wheel receiving a major brain concussion and broken nose upon being pushed by v-1 into v-3.several on the scene questioned the lack of airbag deployment or the seat-belt not providing the restraint necessary to prevent the injury.my concern is this is a failure of the safety systems necessary to restrain the driver.reporting party is the father of the driver of v-2, a teen driver.

My air bag light comes on and goes off randomly. I have taken it in to honda multiple times to get it looked at. They ran tests on it and didn't know why it was happening. I want to make sure that my airbag is working correctly. I have avoided having passengers in my car with me because of this, but can not come to a conclusion with the help of honda on what the issue is. This has been happening on and off for the past 8 months.

Air bag failure indicated.

Airbag light intermitantly comes on for past two years. Issue started at 50,000 miles. Dealer said it is a clock spring or airbag issue with a $1400 repair cost.

My car was struck in an accident in which the air bags did not come out, not a single one. My car was stationary at a traffic light on a city street when another carat full speed struck from behind. From the impact the seat was twisted and once again no airbags came out. Additionally, the seat belt got stuck and once i unbuckled my seat belt it did not return to its place like it normally does. Within this complaint, i will attach pictures from the crash and it shows how the airbags did not come out.

The contact owns 2015 honda civic. While driving 10 mph, the driver side tire struck a bump and the vehicle crashed into a cliff. The air bags deployed. A police report was not filed. The driver sustained injuries to his head and arm that required medical attention. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was not diagnosed, but was repaired by the insurance company. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 3,500.updated 10/26/15.

Takata recall for do complaint

Intermittent warning light for problem with air bag. The light comes on and can stay on for a while, then it will go out and stay off for a while. I don't know if there is a problem with the air bag or with the light.

Air bags have been replaced but vin number on the air bags have been removed.

I had a car accident a couple days ago i got injured from my neck and my back i hit my head on the steering wheel due to a malfunction of my air bags. They didn't deploy. But my car is asking me to check the air bag system and they turned off also my seat belt for some reason got stucked it won't pull more.

Dear lawyer,my honda civic exl 2015 was rear ended on the 9th day. Then the car collided with the electric pole. Kindly find the details- ?accident: 5th jan 2015 (http://goo.gl/bhcpgh)thus, i would be obliged if you could help me to make the claim. Looking forward to talk to you soon.wishing you a great day. Regards,[xxx]note-good thing about new as honda claims-"the hondalinktm assist5,11,12,28 automatic emergency response system is designed to get you the help you need when you need it most. If an airbag deployment sensor is triggered, this new collision detection system is engineered to automatically use your compatible bluetooth -paired phone to notify an operator, report the car?s current location and allow you to speak directly to the operator. If you?re unable to speak, emergency services should be dispatched immediately. It works with any compatible bluetoothpaired phone, does not require a subscription and helps give you peace of mind while you?re on the road." but to my surprise, air bag didn't deploy. Jan 11- 2014, when i called the hondalink assist, representative confirmed that they get calls once airbag is deployed. Online research proves that honda has been supplying faulty airbags.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Tanaka recall, i haven't received any notice from honda about the airbags! a recent accident deployed the airbags and the car is a loss of total! do i get any restitution before the accident happened? the car made a left turn when the other motorist hit the side of the front bumper as my car was going into motion on a main street

My airbags did not deploy when i was rear ended with my seatbelt on when i was stopped at a stoplight on a busy suburbanstreet.my airbag light goes off and on at times.i was told fixing the airbag problem was not covered.why is that when takata b bags were reportedly recalled for the 2015 honda civic.

The contact owned a 2015 honda civic. While driving approximately 40 mph and depressing the brake pedal, the vehicle skid. As a result, the contact crashed into another vehicle. The air bags failed to deploy. The contact sustained head and chest injuries that required medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a towing lot. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer. The vehicle was destroyed. The manufacturer was not contacted and made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown. The vin was not available.

The srs light comes on and off. Most likely due to a faulty occupant sensor.

Open or increased resistance in the driver's airbag first inflator. Intermittent failure at this time.

Takata recall. I received a notice for my veheicle's airbags' recall

Takata recall; airbag light has come on twice for no reason over the past 3 months for a few days at a time and will go off. Has come on only when stationary and shows until it decides to go off after i've started the vehicle after a period of time, as if it never was on. Transmission issue; transmission pulling/slipping. When putting vehicle into reverse or drive it stalls and jerks back. When accelerating from a stop vehicle stalls/jerks. When slowing to a stop vehicle jerks consistently. Less than 100,000 miles.

The contact owns a 2015 honda civic. While driving 55 mph, the driver's air bag deployed without warning or an impact. There were no injuries. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 67,000.

I just bought a certified pre-owned honda civic (2015) and the very next day, the "check airbag system" light came on while driving. It goes off each time i start the car, but comes back on after a few minutes of driving.

During 2019, the airbag srs code b0001-13 appeared. I made 2 visits to walser honda in burnville. Mn to correct the problem. Dec. 2nd i was charged $79.26 and dec. 16, 2019 $148.51. They replaced the reel cable in the system, but it didn't fix the problem of the error message listed above. I brought the vehicle in march 6, 2020 because the same warning light is on non-stop. I was told to replace srs unit for $1100. The dealership offered to participate yet i would have to pay $500 deductible. Honda's auto touchline community notes that my car isn't the only one with this airbag sensor problem.@marshall siddons "have seen quite a few of these cars - '12-'14 civics (not sure if i've ever seen a '15 though)since the cars were new.....the driver's airbag seems to be the fix."my vehicle is in good shape with 30,000 miles. This is a defective airbag and likely a problem for other honda civic owners. Shouldn't it be a factory recall?today, i spoke to natalie in american honda customer service and the company declines to pay for this repair.i request american honda motor co. Pay for the full installation of new srs airbag unit at no cost to me and reimburse me for $227.77.this is a manufacture defect.

I was driving on a 3 lane highway and had slowed down with hazards on when i was rear ended moving about 7 mph. I suffered severe injuries including a grand mal seizure and 2 brain bleeds because i bounced my head off the steering wheel as well as my passenger hitting her head on the dash and causing her to blackout because the car airbags did not go off when we got hit by someone driving 65 mph. The car had been hit so hard it got hit into a bush causing frontal damage to and severe rear driver damage.

I just purchased this honda certified used car on may 7, 2018. After i started it in my dark garage the next morning, i noticed that to the right of the clock was a white "passenger airbag" notice that was on and remained on. I hadn't noticed it in the bright sunlight the day before when i drove the car home for the first time. I shut off the engine and started it again. That notice came on right away followed with with a larger, amber-colored "off" sign under it. This off sign went away after a few seconds, but the white "passenger airbag" notice stays on all the time that i drive the car, and every time that i have driven it. I do not have anything on or near the passenger seat. I called the dealer and someone in service told me to bring it in. I checked my owner's manual on pages 8-11 but the information there about the airbag was discussion about the "passenger airbag off" indicator as though it was one light, whereas on my car it is two lights...the white "passenger airbag" light that stays on all the time, and the amber "off" light that is only on for a few seconds. I checked the internet and found some discussion about this and it didn't seem to be normal for it to stay on all the time. When i got to the honda west, las vegas, service department the morning of may 9, 2018, i showed the service rep what was happening and he told me that his older honda had done exactly the same thing, and it was normal. I asked him to sit in my passenger seat (while the engine was still running) and the white "passenger airbag" light remain on. I don't know if i'm getting the correct information from this service guy. I tried to find a way to contact honda usa to ask them, but i couldn't find a way to do so. So contacting you seems to be the only way to hopefully get this resolved. The weight sensors on the seat seem to be tricky and i don't know if my passenger airbag is o.k.

My daughter was involved in a frontal collision on 9/27/2018 in her 2015 honda civic. The airbags did not deploy and she hit her head, chest, and pelvis on the steering wheel. We have had this car since it was new.she was driving about 35mph when a car started to turn in front of her, and they collided nearly head-on.

I was involved in an accident on 5/29/17.my car was hit on the left rear near the fender well.the car spun out of control across the interstate and hit the guard rail facing the traffic. The air bags did not deploy.

Car was stationary sitting in drive-way. Air bag warning light came on dashboard as soon as car was turned on. Car was taken to honda dealership and i was informed that two issues might be the cause: front right impact sensor failure ($300ish to replace) or srs motherboard failure ($1400 to replace). Honda is refusing to pay for any safety failures on the car because, "vehicle is out of warranty".so even though the air bag may deploy at any moment or not deploy when needed (like a car crash); it is suppose to be paid for by the loyal honda customer to replace. I have not had my car serviced yet, might decide to go with someone other than honda for servicing. Side note: car has never been in any accidents of any nature and has only been serviced at the dealership.

Air bag lights comes on and off sporadically! don't know why this is happening when i am drivingon my city street or on the highway!

Re.2015 honda civic-ex (vin #: [xxx])dear sir,our referenced car has had numerous defects and deficiencies and is currently inoperable. While we've had to repair the car on numerous occasions within the past couple of years, what has occurred within the past 6 months has been nothing short of a nightmare experience; starting in february and continuing to the present day.there is something structurally wrong with the honda civic as there appears to be oem systems and components related defects and malfunctions that are unusual, anomalous and totally abnormal.in one instance, the car became very erratic and was shaking and aerodynamically unstable and it almost lost control, as the steering column became very rigid/stiff and was not able to initially rotate/torque the steering wheel to negotiate certain corner turns. Numerous dashboard lights flashed simultaneously including, but not limited to, check engine sign, vsa, tpms, hsas, power steering malfunction, exclamation sign, etc.we've replaced the alternatorii) replaced the battery five times; and iii) conducted the requisite alignment adjustments and tire pressure and rotation applications and other related repairs, etc. None of the above repairs fixed the root causes of the problem. We're not able to open the car doors at the present time as the vehicle is not in an operational mode.this car is potentially a "lemon" and frankly whatever turns-out to be the root cause of the problem(s), this model vehicle should be a candidate for a recall.please do the right thing and take the necessary corrective actions to have honda satisfactorily resolve this matter asap and we request nhtsa to report this incident so that it doesn't happen to another driver as this is a safety issue.thank you for your prompt and professional cooperation.sincerely, [xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

I bought my car new and have had it only 3 1/2 years. My issues started with my battery failing twice within a year of each other. I had to replace all 4 tires with new ones only a year after buying it because the tires were so worn down as if they were not new to begin with. Then i had a system failure that required my car to be taken in to service for a couple days. Then more recently i had a transmission piece failure that emptied my transmission fluid to the point that i was driving on the road and my car slowly stopped moving which eventually had me stranded on the side of the road for a couple hours until i was able to get towed. Honestly one of the worst experiences in my life. I was by myself on the side of a wooded area while it was getting dark. When i had my car not start it was in a stationary potion. When my car had a weird system molt down i was driving and when the transmission started acting up i was also driving. When driving i was on a main street and had to pull over to the side of the road.

To whom it may concern: i have had my 2015 honda civic coupe since october of 2015. First issue, since i bought the vehicle i have noticed a strange clicking sound that happens once when you switch from reverse to drive. For example, i will put out of my drive way in reverse, go a couple yards in reverse, then come to a complete stop and switch it to drive. After i switch it to drive and then drive a couple yards forward, a weird clicking sound comes up, it is towards the front passenger side of the vehicle. I am not sure if it is an axle or hub, or knuckle. The second issue is, my ignition switch. It tends to heat up after a few minutes. The reason i say a few minutes is because, ill put the key into the ignition switch, then turn it and drive off for a couple of minutes around the block. Then ill come to a stop, put the car in park, and remove the key from the ignition, and the key will be extremely hot. The first time it happened, i put my keys in my jean pocket and it burnt me. It wasnt a bad burn to where it left me a scar or anything, but it was still a burn that is not normal.

The contact owns a 2015 honda civic. The contact stated that the power steering failed upon start up. The vehicle was towed to the dealer. The dealer determined that rodents chewed through the wiring harness due to the material being made of soy based material that attracted rodents. The wiring harness was replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 4,000.

Noticed my vin number looks different and my settings for radio, wallpaper, usb and phone dash board has changed after my ex-husband took car supposely to get oil change

The contact owns a 2015 honda civic. While driving 35 mph, the vehicle stalled and the battery warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer (sam linder honda, 300 auto center cir, salinas, ca 93907, (831)-424-1500) where it was diagnosed that the tire pressure needed to be adjusted. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures. The failure mileage was 32,000.

The contact owns a 2015 honda civic. The contact stated that during cold weather conditions and after starting the vehicle, cold air emitted through the vehicle without the a/c being activated. The failure mileage was 50.updated 08/15/17*lj

I switched my batery to a new one but im still getting the sign to check batery system recharge

Vehicle battery would discharge over night resulting in a dead battery. Took the vehicle to dealer to fix. The problem was a parasitic draw on fuse 29 which was traced to a faulty frontpassenger lock actuator. Defect was determine after a review of nhtsa id # 11378656

Radio and navigation system will freeze and become unresponsive after using the hands-free phone option to terminate a call, or access siri while the vehicle is in motion. The system will display an active call, even after the call has been terminated on the phone. Attempting to change the audio input through the dash interface or steering column controls will not change the source. Attempting to force the system to accept input from an attached phone by plugging in through the usb port will not load the device. A device attached via usb has the same issue, and will not reset if the device is unplugged. This will reset only after turning off the vehicle and restarting after a few minutes. So far, only the audio interface is affected.

The contact owns a 2015 honda civic. While driving at an unknown speed, the vehicle experienced a complete loss of power while idling at a red light. The failure occurred approximately seven times. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to the dealer where the failure could not be diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vin was unknown. The failure mileage was 1,000.

Rear backup safety camera does not consistently display what is behind me when car is put into reverse. Display monitor shows the display's visual guidelines but there is no actual display of what is behind you. Just shows as black screen with display's visual guidelines.sample photo attached

The driver door actuator to unlock the door is not working and the front passenger door lock actuator is not working. I had the back left actuator replaced before. I think it is a safety issue that needs to recalled.

We bought a brand new honda a couple months ago we usually do not drive it much since it is for my wife who takes the bus to work.onr day wr got a check tire pressure warning.so i checked tired and everything was fine with them.the warning we were receiving according to honda is tpms. And it's actually happening to alot of there cars.fiesta and foremost this is such a safety hazard.because when the real day comes when i do need air i will never know.it is also sad that honda wad aware of this and neglected to mention it to us.the other thin is my old car had for 15 plus ye as didn't have any of these high tech gadgets, and these new ones i keep reading have this issue or that.i'm starting to become extremely worry and wonder if it's safe to drive.i am calling them today to set an appointment to gt it fix

As i started to drive i noticed that was running really slow and making a loud noise.after 2 miles i turned around and went back to my workplace.as soon it reached uphill the car was driving backward.this is 3 yr old car,the auto repair guy said its the transmission. I find it odd for a 3 yr old car with 75,500 miles only.also first week when i had it the tire pressurekept coming on. I thought it might be a sensor problem or maybe software but the car company dealer where i bought it kept telling me it's something to do with the weather.the light is on for 3 yrs now so how do i really know if my tires are ok or not..my car went to hydroplaneone when rainstorm and come to find out my tires were bad and bec the tire pressue light was on all the time it didn't really gave me a real warning regarding my tires.the car dealership company just ignored me.dothey have to wait until i really have a bad wreck?? pls. Help me,i really want honda care to know before its too late.thank you.

The contact owns a 2015 honda civic. The contact stated that the vehicle experienced transmission failure. The vehicle was taken to autopark honda (3630 old raleigh rd, cary, nc 27511) where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be repaired. The vehicle was not repaired due to the repair cost. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who replaced the transmission, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that the vin was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 15v574000 (power train). The contact was also informed that the engine needed replacement due to a bent crankshaft and the vehicle was unsafe to drive. The engine was not repaired. The failure mileage was 79,000. I reported during the last oil change that the car was stalling specifically when trying to accelerate between 10 mph & 30 mph. The car stalls, and has even completely stopped for a full 60 seconds while trying to change lanes intraffic even though the gas pedal was completed depressed. This almost caused me to have an accident. The tech said it was due to the econ button and the engine trying to conserve energy. I was told to not use the econ button (although this is suppose to save me money on gas and fuel efficiency and part of the allure of the vehicle.) despite that i have had the econ button off and the car continues to stall and not accelerate properly. Again this is usually between 10 mpg to 30 mph. I don't know if this is a transmission problem or part of the pistol pin snap ring problem or even possibly a fuel injector problem. The problem appears to be getting worse and occurring more frequently.my husband has the same type and year vehicle and his does not behave the same way. His acceleration appears to be fine and does not stall as mine does. Also the tire pressure gauge has come on twice for no apparent reason. Once was 8-15-15 during a 4 hour road trip which occurred after we arrived. The 2nd time was immediately after i returned home from my last oil change in 4-2016. This is the (3rd) reported problem with this vehicle. Problem (1) was the stained headliner (6/2015)which was replaced and has not had any further issues (2) was the center console pin coming loose and popping up (4-2016) which has currently remained intact and now the acceleration is getting worse. (continuously).

The transmission drive pulley shaft is damaged, i was driving on the freeway and the car locked up and braked and the front wheels locked up. This is bad luckily i was on a deserted freeway and no one was behind me. This is dangerous.

The contact owns a 2015 honda civic. After the vehicle was started, there was an abnormal noise and vibration coming from the front of the vehicle intermittently without warning. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the technician stated that the lower motor mounts and side motor needed to be repositioned. The vehicle was repaired. The failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 896.

Sticking drive by wire throttle body system , when shifting clutch is not releasing right or to the vehicle specs on the vehicle and engine vibration when idling. When starting to drive , vehicle engine vibration when driving on normal road an highway too.

Purchased car with 136 miles on it. Noticed the brakes made a popping sound when pedal was depressed, also a noise was heard when the car was put into different gears. Took it in several times and was told nothing is wrong. Maybe you are pressing to hard on the brakes.third month in i went back again for the gear shift noise and was told thats just how these civics sound.

Today i went under the hood because my car broke down in the middle of an intersection on the way to the honda dealership as my car was acting strange. It wasnt accelerating as normal and didnt feel like it was switching gears. Under the hood i discovered the transmission fluid fill cap was completely missing. Ive read online others have had this issue and it was advised to file this report.

Vehicle vibrates with noise when in reverse mode. Dealer and honda claim it is normal. It seems that this problem is already widely known to many honda owners. The vibration happens more with econ mode is switched on. This creates the feeling that this car engine is not mounted well and it could lead to major accident during driving. There were several people who already changed their engine mounts only when car has low milege.

The car slowed down while driving on city streets, and then stopped completely. Also when i stopped or was slowing down, made a turn or braking the same thing occurred. This happened several times on individual days. I put on my flashing hazard lights to prevent being hit from behind on busy streets. I have read about his happening to several other drivers when i was researching it online. This is a very dangerous situation. I do not feel safe driving his car, it's like russian roulette. I am having it checked out tomorrow at a honda dealer.it may take a while for diagnosis of the cause. I was surprised that this was not listed as a recalled vehicle. Since his has happened on different dates i will just list the latest date below.

My daughter (17 years old) was driving at 35 miles in leona valley ca on last friday 2015 her honda civic (7,000 miles on odometer).her car low-pressure air light came on and then car started to swerve violently left to right.within few minutes the car brakes stopped functioning (according to her, it felt she was pushing on air when she pressed the brake paddle) and then the steering wheel locked. The car ended up on its side and caught fire.it started a brush fire (25 acres) here in ca.when my daughter and her two friends tried to get out the door, the other door won't open.they had to jump out of the sun roof.the question i have is what caused the fire and why did the car's brakes and steering wheel locked?what do i need to do to find out what needs to happen in order to get to the bottom of root cause of the accident?

Noticed a shudder with vehicle during 1st week of purchase. Thought it was a little weird since being a new car. Assumed that it was an isolated incident with regards to break in of vehicle.2nd week of ownership on my way to work, noticed the shudder multiple times during stop and go traffic. This shudder later transitioned into a knock or pinging of some sort while jerking and accelerating on its own without any driver input. Very scary at this point...got off the freeway and parked then turned the vehicle off. Upon start up, vehicle still idling violently. Had to get to work so just braked most of the way and drove with added caution. After work, car behaved normally on my way home with econ and air con both off. Shudder is still present to this day during light to moderate acceleration at 30 - 40 mph. I am fearful of using the econ and air con together as this worsens the problem. Honda and the public needs to know about this.

On 5/14/2020 in the afternoon, i parked my 2015 honda civic ex l in my driveway and took groceries in the house. I came back out within a few minutes and there was a fire starting in the front of the engine (battery area). The battery was installed less than 9 months ago at a honda dealership. I now find out accords were recalled for battery fires, why not civics ?

My car was involved in an accident last night after being stopped on the freeway. While driving on the freewayi noticed my car driving strange( sounding and feeling like it was in the wrong gear) moments later the check engine light came onand 2 warnings in the dashboard about my engine and transmission systems. My car begin to decelerate, coming to a complete stop in the middle of the freeway and being hit in the rear by another driver. I found this very strange and dangerous due to my car being a 2015 and properly maintained. I would like to know what happened.

2015 honda civic; 50,000 miles.automatic headlights and manual headlightsemit a sound from the engine, both right and left sides.in essince, when the headlites are on, the sound is on 100%.several individuals shared same issue on the honda forum and shared several possible causes.one of which was small cracks in the soder within the module.my concern is when the cracks separate, the headlights will stop working.

I have 89000 miles on this vehicle over the past 12 months my june consumption has decreased 12-25 miles per gallon.under similar driving conditions my mileage dropped from avg of 50mpg to 42 mpg.honda dealer informed me that they do not know what causes the problemdriving conditions are daily 8-10 stop & go and highway driving at snagged of 45 mpg

Vehicle stall daily after a stop.i returned it to the honda dealer who told me , "that was normal!"i understand the 2016 thru 2019 models were recalled for this problem but my 2015 stalls daily when starting from a stop!what do i do next???

9/22/2015 approximately around 3:30pm i went to start my car to leave my home to do an errand. I smell gasoline. I did not think anything about the smell. I proceed to driving to my destination. I was aboutmile from my home, another car pulled up beside me and honked horn informed me that car was leaking gas. I pulled over to check and saw car was leaking car. I open gas door to see if gas cap was off chambers. It was not. I turn car around and proceed back home. While heading back home other cars honked at me and informed me of leakage. After i got i had my husband to check the car. The when turned the ignition off the car stop leaking fuel. When turned back on it start leaking again. He saw the leakage from the fuel line. I called dealership (crest honda) and informed them of the problem. I had my car tow to dealership. 9/23/15 received a call from the dealership stating that a rodent had eaten through my fuel line. I have not had any issues with fuel system before 9/22/15. I have been driving the car daily. I had just driven the car on 9/21/15 doing errands and there were not any signs of smelling gas or fuel leakage. I do not believe a rodent could have eaten through my fuel overnight. There were 3 other cars sitting in my driveway overnight. I have been at my residence for 20 years never had this problem with a car of a rodent eating through a fuel line or any other items on the outside of my home. I purchased car brand new 2/2015 only owner.

My vehicle stalls several times a day when starting from a stopped position.

The contact owns a 2015 honda civic. The contact stated that the trunk opened inadvertently on numerous occasions and without warning. The failure mileage was 60,000.

The contact owns a 2015 honda civic. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle failed to accelerate while the accelerator pedal was depressed. The check engine and abs lights warning lights illuminated. The failure was also present while accelerating from a stop and at vehicle startup. The vehicle was taken to rick case honda (15700 rick case honda way, western davie, fl) who diagnosed that the nox sensor was defective. The vehicle was not repaired. The vin was not included in the nhtsa recall campaign number: 15v574000 (power train). The contact indicated that the vehicle experienced the failure listed in the recall. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 10,000.

About 15 seconds entering the freeway i decided to merge. As i accelerated i heard something pop or like a clunk/thumpsound, like something had shifted, then my car began to slow down. Then when i stepped on the gas my rpm was moving but my cause was not. Good thing i was still on the far right hand side and was able to pull to the shoulder without causing any accidents. I turned the engine off then back on. Engine was fine, it started but i my car wasn't moving when i pressed the gas on drive. I tried to reverse my car but it moved very little as well. Sounds like my problem reflects the recall on 2014-2015 honda civic cars regarding about the transmission, although a recall doesn't show when typing my vin.

Purchased 2015 honda civic (special edition) in nov, 2015.when driving the vehicle at any speed (highway or streets), when i take off my foot from the accelerator, the car "kicks" a bit, like there's something going on with the transmission.it does it more often when driving the streets.then when accelerating, it does not feel that it's changing gears properly.it "kicked" once on the highway and was pretty loud.i'm not a mechanic so it's hard for me to describe what is happening.i thought the car was just "breaking itself in" so i was not concerned.but my boyfriend says it sounds like something with the power train/drive shaft.i looked up any recent recalls on 2015 civics and there is one for the power train.i contacted the dealer but was advised my car is not affected in the recall.maybe not, but it's doing the same thing as what the recall describes.i'll be taking it in for them to look at on dec 30th, 2015.

I was driving one mile to work on a paved road. Transmission sounds like it slipping when in motion, rpm goes up to 5 when igoing 15 mph.car was going slow then suddenly accelerated. I immediately parked the car and am taking itto honda dealership.

Cvt transmission is shot.

2/11/20, 7:10am, after driving approximately 12 miles, my '15 honda civic ex started running like a tire might be flat. No warning lights. Headed to nearest air approx. 1/2 mile away. After stopping at traffic light stepped on the accelerator but car when nowhere. Pushed out of traffic.restarted several times. No change. Then every possible warning light lit up.attempted to push to nearby lot but wheels were locked. Googled and discovered a recall started in oct '15 (see nhtsa 15v-574) on '15 civics manufactured 1/16/14-11/6/14 to prevent just such a failure. Mine was made in 10/14 but my vin wasn't included.sought after-warranty consideration from honda.had car towed to nearest dealer.code reader showed p0793 intermediate shaft speed sensor 'a' circuit no signal.tech noted dark transmission fluid coming out fill hole indicating it had become hot. (this happens during a catastrophic failure!). Quoted $5,500 to install remanufactured transmission. Declined. Googled. Found nhtsa's part 573 safety recall report 15v-574. Car meets production date criteria. Vehicle type and body style not listed indicating all civics were involved. Studied 2 lines of us-assembled sequential vin number ranges and believe all '15 civic ex and ex-l models were accidentally left out - except for one ex -the only vehicle listed in the 2nd of the 2 ranges. Exs and ex-ls were included in recall of canadian-assembled civics. Honda spoke only with the diagnosing technician and refuses to help although "cvt input shaft speed sensor" is covered for 15years/150k miles in carb-certified vehicles, which this is. Tech said honda has directed dealers not to repair engines or transmissions. Don't even open - just replace. Have spoken w/ other '15 ex owners whose vehicles were also not recalled. Numerous reports online of '15 civic owners that experienced same failure and vin wasn't included in recall.

The transmission drive pulley shaft is damaged, i was driving on the freeway and the car locked up and braked and the front wheels locked up. This is bad luckily i was on a deserted freeway and no one was behind me. This is dangerous.

When taking off fast or slow has a little jerking action when takes off , stalls for a sec .

Only have 58,000 miles on my civic. The engine is stalling out and sometimes not moving when i put my foot on the gas going from stationary to in motion. This particularly happens when it sounds like it's shifting from stopped up to first gear. It has also been giving me very low gas mileage.

My son just returned back to college .... So grateful it didn't happen then.. But the next day he was driving to the grocery store.. Came to a stop at a red light.. Didn't drive 10 ft whenthe car lost accelleration and front wheels locked up....so he turned off the car and turned it back on and proceeded to put it in drive when it started to go in reverse on its own so heturned off thecar and called for atow.thiscar hasbeen in for regularmaintenancesince i purchased it in feb/2015. This has been a dependable car up until this point. I believe this car should have been included in the 2014/2015 recallbutwasn't for whateverreason. It clearly is having the same problemsas the recall is claiming. I am sograteful thisdid notcause myson to be in an accident... So far fromhome.

I purchased a 2015 honda civic ex with a cvt. I can reliably reproduce a problem with the continuously variable transmission (cvt) stutters or jerks when gradually accelerating at in-town speeds (e.g., 10-40 mph). It happens most often when going from a slow speed (e.g., 10-20 mph) and gradually accelerating. A rear end collusion could take place due to the hesitation of acceleration.i took it to the della honda dealership in new york state, but honda has not issued any technical service bulletins (tsb); so they were unable to repair the problem.in other words, the dealership service department was unable to determine the necessary action to troubleshoot or diagnosis the trouble without assistance from honda.the dealership service department hooked up my car to the diagnostic tools and no service codes or out-of-spec messages appeared, so they said this is normal.there has been a lot of complaints about this particular trouble with the cvt, but honda is resisting to acknowledge the trouble.i had to pay out of pocket for changing the transmission fluid with a brand new vehicle with only 4,864 miles on it and it appeared to resolve the trouble.

I drive a 2015 honda civic and i was at a stop sign and started driving, got to about 15 mph and it felt like i got a flat so i started to pull over and realized i didn't have any power to my front wheels no matter what gear i put it in. There was no warning such as jerky transmission or anything that would lead me to believe there is a problem and no lights on the dash come on saying there is a problem so i'm not sure what to do. I noticed there is a current recall for the same year/make/model and the same exact thing happening but my vin number is not one that is covered. Nhtsa campaign number: 15v574000 and i'm pretty sure my drive pulley shaft is broken.

Driving on the highway at 60 mph, my car made a noise almost like a flapping sound and suddenly loses power. Got to the side of the highway, called roadside assistance and towed car to service station. The car started and ran - the car went into drive, reverse and park but would not move at all. Still no warning lights. The transmission needed to be replaced. There were no indications such as leakage, lights or slipping of transmission. Just completel malfunction on a highway 200 miles from home. Had the expense of transmission, car rental and hotel. You buy a honda for reliability and never think this would happen

I was driving to work on i-77 and while the vehicle was in motion, the vehicle stopped accelerating. I would push on the gas and the vehicle would not accelerate.the vehicle began to slow. I could have got into an accident but pulled off onto the right side of the highway. The car was running but would not accelerate. I called my insurance company to tow the vehicle. The honda dealership who assessed the car said the transmission went out. There is only 100,364 miles on the car and the transmission should just stop working. There is a known problem (recall) with the 2015 honda civic but my vin isnt included. Honda knows they need to extended or open recall to includemore vins. This is hondas mess up buy putting in a faulty transmission.

We were stopped at a traffic light waiting to turn left; once traffic cleared and i started driving, the car began to skip as though i were driving on a flat tire.we were able to clear the intersection and pull into a parking lot just a few yards away to check to see if we had a flat tire.the tires being fine, we proceeded to pull away but the car was still exhibiting the same symptoms.before we could get pulled into a parking spot, i lost all power to the front wheels no matter what gear i put it in. There were no warning indicator lights on the dash and the vehicle had been running perfectly until i made that left turn. There was never a skip or jerk in the transmission or anything that would indicate a problem prior to this moment.i noticed there is a recall for the same exact thing happening but my vin number is not one that is covered.through my research i have discovered that there is a nhtsa campaign for this issue.campaign number 15v574000is there currently any help for this issue?

Vechicle was traveling at 50 mph on a country backroad when engine revved to 4.5k rpm. Warning lights came on, on dashboard. Then the car started to shake. Got the car home and looked under the hood to find that transmission fluid cap had not been where it needed to be and was sitting next to the hole. Had to towed to the dealership where they told me i'll need a whole ne transmission when the car is under 86k miles

I was driving down a 35 mph road and all of a sudden the car stopped moving.i had to push it to the side of the road i tried to put the cat in drive and reverse still nothing.i'm so glad i wasn't going faster than 35mph cuz that would have been scary if it did that while i was doing 65 or 75mph on the highway.i put it my vin but it says no recall on the transmission.i found a recall that states 2015 transmission was recalled.so why isn't my vehicle being flagged for this

The contact owns a 2015 honda civic. While approaching an intersection, the contact attempted to accelerate and the vehicle lost power without warning. The contact had to push the vehicle off the road. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the transmission failed. The vehicle was also towed to open road honda (50 us-1, edison, nj 08817, (732)-234-9716) where it was diagnosed that the failure was due to wear and tear. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that there were no recalls associated with the vin. The contact was referred to nhtsa to file a complaint. The failure mileage was 120,000.

The contact owns a 2015 honda civic sedan. The contact stated that while driving at 40 mph, approaching an intersection while depressing the accelerator pedal the vehicle failed to respond. The contact got out the vehicle, placed the vehicle in neutral pushed the vehicle to the shoulder of the roadway. The contact turned the vehicle off and back on however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was towed to d'ella honda 702 state route 3, plattsburgh, ny 12901, (518) 563-7686 where it was diagnosed and determined that transmission failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact referenced nhtsa campaign number: 15v574000 (power train) as a possible solution to the failure however, the vin was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.

I was driving on i-84 home from college and the car made a loud click sound, at which point i lost all drive. The car began decelerating and i was forced to pull over to the highway shoulder while cars around me were traveling at highway speeds. I was in fear for my life. The car engine runs fine, but does not move in any gear. The issue has been diagnosed as a transmission failure. I had to pay to get the car towed 80 miles to my home, and now must also face the cost of replacing the transmission (tow bill attached). My car is only at 110k miles and has always been serviced at the appropriate time. The transmission should not be failing, let alone abruptly while driving. There appears to have been a transmission recall for honda fit and civic 2014-2015, but my vin was not recalled. (campaign number 15v574000)this needs to be investigated by the nhtsa immediately, as it poses a serious concern to driver safety. I have counted over 10 reports of incidents in the last 6 months where owners lost all acceleration while driving. I have listed the nhtsa id numbers below. I encourage others with this issue to come forward to we can get this resolved.11311307113111811130680911298039112967111129256311290218112892221128757111278148

The car was running and was at a complete stop, when excelerating the car it sounded like you were driving over rumble strips. When i got home with car and parked i looked under car and transmission fluid was dripping excessively. I talked to a mechanic and he told me i should not drive the car. My car is a 2015 civic ex with only 42000 miles.

Cvt transmission plug keeps popping off. This has happened multiple times since i bought the vehicle.

Transmission is trying to catch up with every gear change i make. When trying to accelerate the car makes a sound. The car is still stationary.

Noticed a shudder with vehicle during 1st week of purchase. Thought it was a little weird since being a new car. Assumed that it was an isolated incident with regards to break in of vehicle.2nd week of ownership on my way to work, noticed the shudder multiple times during stop and go traffic. My transmission went out without any warnings. After doing some research there was a recall that was issued but my car wasn't included because it was only for the 2015 models manufactured before november 2014. But it was the same symptoms i lost acceleration and the front wheels lock up while driving. I only had little bit over 90000 miles on the car. I did reach out to honda but all they told me was i was out of warranty and my car wasn't included in the recall and i need to take it to the dealership and even it's the same issue as recall they could not promise me they would get it fixed for me. I do not expect to be reimbursed for the transmission replacement but i want this to be looked into so other people won't have to go through the same thing as i did. I was stuck on highway in the middle of night and had to get my car towed. Please investigate this case. I was on i-77 (charlotte nc)driving home and the car stopped i was fortunate enough to pull over to the side without getting hit by another car. I barely made it. And for honda, not everyone can afford to pay to go to the dealers to get their car looked at. I'm uploading the estimate but the cost is little bit higher due to adding 2 year warranty. It came out to be around $2800.

Found a plug sitting on top of my transmission while checking my engine oil, wiper fluid, etc. The hole it came out of is surrounded in fluid. I was parked in a walmart parking lot in midday when i found it. Don't know how long it's been out.

All of a sudden the car started shaking, it felt like i had a tire blowout.it was a good thing that i was slowing down for a turn and no trafficbehind me.i pulled over and checked out the tires and they were okay.when i tried to accelerate again the car just jerked with a big clunking sound and then it stopped all together.i was stranded with a dead car.the car would not move at all and it only had 61,00 miles on it!!

My transmission drive pulley shaft feels damaged, it may break, the vehicle may looses acceleration and it keeps sticking

The contact owns a 2015 honda civic. The contact stated that while pulling into a parking garage at approximately 15 mph or less, there was a loud popping sound coming from underneath the vehicle. The contact stated that they were unable to shift gears in the vehicle. The vehicle was towed from the location. An independent mechanic was contacted and informed the contact that the transmission needed to be replaced. The contact referenced nhtsa campaign number: 15v574000 (power train) however, the vin was not included. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was 124,000.*dt *as

Sticking drive by wire throttle body system , when shifting clutch is not releasing right or to the vehicle specs on the vehicle and engine vibration when idling. When starting to drive , vehicle engine vibration when driving on normal road an highway too.

The contact owns a 2015 honda civic. The contact stated that after stopping and attempting to move off, the vehicle hesitated upon depressing the accelerator pedal without warning. The contact took the vehicle to serra honda o'fallon (1268 central park dr, o'fallon, il 62269) on three separate occasions however, the mechanic was unable to duplicate the failure and the returned the vehicle to the contact each time. The contact then took the vehicle to an independent mechanic where she was informed that nhtsa campaign number :15v574000 (power train) was linked to her failure. The mechanic then referred the contact to nhtsa for assistance. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

I was reversing from a parking spot and when i shifted the car into drive, i recall hearing a snap and the car went about two feet before i lost all acceleration.

My daughter was driving back to university on i-10 when she lost power. The car will start but when put in gear will not move. Guess is the transmission. Will take have towed tomorrow to a mechanic. I note the transmission recall on this year honda civic but this vin is not included. Appears honda is not including al impacted vehicles.honda civic 2015.

The car has a known issue as told to me by honda dealer with the pressaure player springs failing causing loud grindr noise. It happens when taking off in first gear on these cars. It is consistent with all 9th generation honda civics forums list the problem as a pressure plate. Honda is attempting to charge 2800 to fix a plroblem they know is with a flawed part. When sitting in first gear and you let the clutch out the car memakes a grindr noise. One honda forum list over 52 pages of people addressing having this issue.

Vehicle mileage: 73,835description: october 27th, my transmission seems to have expired at 73,835 miles. I was sitting still in the turn lane of a 4-lane highway waiting to turn left.when i pushed the gas i heard a thump.nothing loud or scary, just a thump.none of my gears would work but the car kept running.some good ole boys pushed me from the middle of the road.

I bought a brand new 0 miles honda civic 2015 on may 2015 ive been having a lot of problems with my suspension motor mounting had been replaces as well as axels... I'm concern about my family and my own safety i'm scared of an accident for a suspension problem since its front suspension... On the dealer they always try to avoid on telling me the cause of this matter... I would like this suspension problem to be investigate...the transmission is another problem most of the time you accelerate and the car doenst go fast and feels like slips on kicks out... I took the car to the dealer but like always they said they don't find the problem... The worst that the dealer always request me to go on a drive test with the mechanic that's not part of my job they should have qualified workers

2015 honda civic. Consumer states that their vehicle begin making a noise and stopped suddenly. *ldthe consumer stated the transmission failed while driving. Themanufacturer was notified and offered to pay a portion of the repairs. The vehicle was repaired.

Car stopped propelling forward as if transmission suddenly went out while i was driving on interstate 29 just before the on ramp to interstate 80 at steady speed (not speeding, not accelerating...just went out as i was driving).no clunks, jolts, loud noises...the ability to accelerate was just gone.coasted to the side of the road.no gears would engage when i tried to put it in gear.the handle moved, but engaged with nothing.transmission fluid had been changed in june 2020.this happened on sept 28, 2020.light noise at parking lot before that on acceleration. I stopped and looked at it, but nothing obvious.it was dangerous in that there was nothing i could do except coast off to the side of the road.there was construction there, but fortunately i could pull over before the actual on ramp, but that particular curve is dangerous because it's very busy where two interstates cross so i was stalled in a bad place.don't know the parts or invoices yet.(this box is so small i can't see the whole paragraph.i can only see two lines at a time.)

I recently bought a used 2015 honda civic, which now has 109,000 miles. The vehicle was running well until recently my acceleration is when turning corners is very low and the tires stop moving, i looked up similar issues online and saw a recall notice about the transmission, the issue can cause the tires to stall and can be extremely dangerous. My vehicle is having this exact issue and i feel this isnt coincidence. Honda needs to make sure that these vehicles are fixed. I drive to work every day and i feel that my vehicle will stop in the middle of traffic.

Transmission in low rpm situations shudders and vibrates, upon further inspection the rubber fill port plug popped off and was sitting on top of the transmission housing. Bringing vehicle into dealership for further diagnosis.

2015 honda ex with 55,000 miles when i start the car and begin to drive when i hit the brakes the right front of my car makes a loud clunking noise i have been told this is my half shaft making the noise everyday when i am pulling out of my driveway and the first time i use my brakes this noise occurs and after i park my car for any period of time first time i hit my brakes when leaving the noise is there it goes away after that when i am driving but always comes back after being parked hit the brakes and loud clunking noise always is there loud enough for me and the people in the car to clearly hear it

The internal shaft of the transmission failed on my 2015 honda civic which was under recall for this exact issueat 61k miles on a road trip, the car was under warranty when we left for a road trip, on our way back home this happened. Honda has been of no help to me in this situation with a case manager telling me "thats not my problem". I would like honda to either buy the car back at fair market value or replace the defective transmission as i am on fear of my safety.

My vehicle was showing no obvious signs of issues when purchased at about 28,000 miles 11/1/18upon my first oil change at 39,000 miles it was noted that though transmission fluid was at safe levels there appeared to be a leak as condensation was noticed by the third party oil service technician.i was told to keep an eye out for any issues.i drove my vehicle with no obvious issues of driveway leaks or service lights on the vehicle indicating a transmission issue it also seemed to drive normally.at 43,900miles while driving the vehicle the service light came on indicating a transmission problem the drive light was blinking and my car was making a noise i never heard before.i was not able to make it to my destination as my car just stoped accelerating as i was trying to pull over on the highway.this all happened pretty quickly as the car stopped accelerating shortly after the service light came on for the very first time. The car was towed to the dealership from which i purchased the vehicle. The dealership claims the transmission was burned due to negligence by the third party oil technician removing the cap from my vehicle and not putting it back.i can say that the cap was not removed as i was in the car while it was being serviced for an oil change only.the third party company has explained that they also would not have removed the cap as transmission levels a digitally checked for my vehicle make and model.also this incident was 8 months after they last serviced my vehicle. There is no outside damage to the transmission.it is unknown how the cap was removed found unhinged by the dealership.below are photos provided by the dealership.

Transmission fluid cap keeps falling off.first time transmission felt sluggish and would go into high rpm just getting up to 20mph.honday replaced the cap, and filled up the fluid.4 months later it happened again, except this time i had no warning and when i went to move my car it would go into high rpm but barely move.

I noticed that the fill plug on top of my cvt had popped out and i put it back in, only to find, weeks later, that it had popped out again at some point. The plug in the top of the cvt is a very snug fit, so for it to be popping out, i would have to assume the transmission must be under quite a bit of pressure. I did some research and found that others with the same year/make/model vehicle had experienced the same issue. Yesterday 03/06/2021 i was traveling on the interstate and had to slow down to a stop due to backed up traffic, as i began to accelerate again my vehicle began violently vibrating/shaking. I continued to experience the vibrating until today, 03/07/2021 when my transmission went out as i was driving down my driveway and the vehicle would no longer go into gear and would not move, prompting me to have to push it back to my house.

The contact owns a 2015 honda civic. While the contact's son was driving 40 mph, the vehicle stalled and stopped in the middle of the road. The contact arrived and pushed the vehicle to the road shoulder. The vehicle was towed to priority honda (3311 peters creek rd, roanoke, va 24019, (540) 366-0888) where it was diagnosed that a new transmission was needed. The vin was not included in a recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and did not assist. The failure mileage was 122,000.

The transmission cap is a major flaw in this design (honda civic 2015) . As you can tell by the pictures the vehicle is clearly losing transmission fluid and possibly leaving it open to exposure of debris. There is also no dipstick so you can't tell where the fluid level is. The vehicle also does not detect or notify the driver if the cap has come off. Honda needs to address this issue and untilthen, transmission services should be offered at no charge to the vehicle owner by honda. Even if you put the cap back on it will come off because of pressure build up. If you find a way to keep the cap on you might cause pressure build up somewhere else. Honda has not offered a solution to this design flaw.

I was driving on the highway and traffic was slowing down. I was going about 35 mph. All of a sudden, it felt like i was driving on a rough road. The way it feels when they grind down a road for replacing. I turned my radio off to hear better. It sounded rough and i heard a loud pop. My accelerator then made my engine rev. My car would not accelerate. I pulled off the road and stopped. I put in park and could hear that my engine was running fine. I put into drive and my car would not go but only rev up. My car has 92,000 miles and is my daily commuter. I have serviced the transmission twice and it was due for the third oil change soon. I am an ase certified master mechanic and perform my own services. The oil for tranny service was purchased both times from yuba city honda. I have had no previous issues with this vehicle. Highway miles are known to be easiest on a well maintained vehicle. I am shocked that this happened with no forewarning.

While driving i felt a vibration.about 15 miles later the rpms were high and i was unable to accelerate.the car stopped completely on a major road going up hill.there was no check engine light, no warning of any sort.the dealership service center claims it is the transmission and keep insisting that it was a faulty switch, although it has never been replaced.the transmission is completely burnt and the car's diagnostic system still does not register that there is a problem.their estimate claims:"replace transmission (dtc p0741 torque converter clutchstuck off, during inspection found transmission pressure valveloose on transmission allowing fluid to spill out, causingtransmission to burn internally, dtc p0741 torque converterclutch stuck off, during inspection found transmission pressurevalve loose on transmission allowing fluid to spill out, causingtransmission to burn internally)"

I was taking my mom to work at around 4am. On my way back my car suddenly stopping in the middle of the freeway. Luckily no cars were around and i was able to move it to the side of the road. The engine ran fine, but it would not accelerate or reverse. My car almost felt like it was left on neutral. Once i got it towed to a mechanic they told me my transmission pretty much blew out and i had to replace it. Before this incident i had a previous problem with the transmission fluid leaking. Anyways i got a new transmission and shortly after (november 2019) i could feel my car jolting if i came to a sudden stop or even accelerated. When i took it back to the shop they told me it was a problem with the transmission binding. They had to replace it once again. Now the car feels somewhat better, but still jerks with some stops. I've looked up my vin for recalls and nothing has come up, but this is my 3rd issue with this car. I bought it brand new and used it for daily commutes. All this started happening around 97,000-100,000 miles on the car. I have kept up with maintenance so i'm unsure why this is happening.

The car started to shake like it wanted to stop but it was still moving and then it shook hard and then the engine remained running and it lost acceleration and stopped in the road.

The vin was not available.

My 2015 honda civic recently had the transmission warning come on when i was driving it around. To eventually the car would not move and i had to towed to a mechanic. The mechanic did a diagnostic and replace . To now having the issue again.

A recall notice was issued in september 2015 for 2014 and 2015 honda civics due to transmission failures. My 2015 civic was bought in november 2015 and on sept. 10, 2018 experienced a transmission failure similar to cars in the recall. I am writing to see if the recall is being expanded to include other cars experiencing these issues. American honda is maintaining no responsibility and referred me to nhtsa, claiming my car was outside of the recall.but the time frame and problem experienced is suspect.

It was raining, i went to slow down and it was as if the front wheels locked up, tcs blinking on and off, and the tires remained pulling as if power was still being sent to the front two, locked up, tires and i had no control as the car pulled me straight forward into the side of another vehicle resulting in a collision that had me hit a stopped car so hard it spun the other car around and totaled my car. This all happened within 500 feet of where i initially pulled out onto the road i was traveling on when the car started to malfunction to the road where i attempted to turn onto to avoid the crash and could not maneuver the vehicle at all.

Noticed the cvt transmission fill plug laying on top of the transmission. Put the cvt fill plug back in and drove 30 min to destination. Parked at destination and checked fill plug to see it laying on top of the transmission again. I suspect the cvt transmission is building pressure and blowing the fill plug out, allowing contaminants to enter the transmission and ruin it.

I was driving home on i-80 and while the vehicle was in motion, the vehicle stopped accelerating.i would push on the gas and the vehicle would not accelerate. Rpms would go to 4000.the vehicle began to slow. I could have got into an accident but pulled off onto the right side of the highway. The car was running but would not accelerate. I called my insurance company to tow the vehicle. The auto shop who assessed the car said the transmission went out. There is only 158,000 miles on the car and the transmission should just stop working. The shop said it would be $5100 to replace.

My honda civic 2015 was purchased new from dover honda (nh) around april 2016 and had ~83,400 miles when the problems occurred (jan 2019).before that time it worked perfectly well.no one had done any work on the car to that point aside from tire replacement and normal maintenance, but nothing related to the transmission.while my wife was taking an exit ramp off of a very busy highway (~40 mph gradual turning), there was a loud knock.the engine would rev, but there was no movement, so she pulled over to the shoulder.a variety of warning lights were lit.the car was towed to dover honda (nh).they said that the transmission fill cap was not attached (but found on the frame of the car) and a pressure sensor in the transmission was damaged and needed to replaced.it was replaced for just under $400.everything seemed to be in working order afterwards.two weeks later the same problem occurred and the car was again returned to dover honda.they said that the pressure sensor was damaged again, they surmised that a nearby shaft was hitting it occasionally causing the damage.they claimed that the transmission needed to be replaced for several thousand dollars depending on the option of new or used replacement.they also charged me another ~$100 for the diagnosis.i have a hard time understanding how a transmission fill cap being missing (assuming that it actually was missing) could allow that much contamination into a transmission to cause this kind of issue when driving on only paved roads in a low dust environment like new england.when opening the transmission there was no comment by the dealer on the fluid being terribly dirty.there is no recall notice that applies to this vehicle's vin number, but the failure mode seems very similar to notice # 15v574000.at this point i will need to have the transmission replaced

My civic has 52000 miles on it & has always ran perfectly fine & has been maintainanced properly since i got it. I pulled out of my driveway & it started to bog down like it wouldn't accelerate then the check transmission sensor came only dash screen & engine light came on. I then pulled over & put the car in park & the drive "d" was blinking & check emission system also popped up on dash screen. I then put it back into drive in hopes to turn it around & get it back to house it accelerated but still bogged with parking"p" lit up. I got it home turned it off & called transmission repair shops. I drove it with no problems other then check transmission & emission sensor on dash screen to shop when i got there it was rough to put in park & could hear it switch between gears when moving stick to put in park which could never hear before. After diagnosis they're saying it needs new transmission due to internal damage inside the transmission. After further research i found that this year, make & model has recalls for the exact issues going on with my car. As i should not have tramission failure at 50000 miles in a car that i maintainanced properly & drove pretty much only around my small town.

Transmission started acting up out of the blue and just popped while going down the road.no unusual driving activity or anything.noticed there was electrical control dash all lights blinking about 3 days before incident and car stalled in road. Restarted car a couple times and lights went off and car went back to drivingfine.day of incident, i was replacing spark plugs and went out to test car.went a couple miles and filled up with gas.after leaving gas station, car was not accelerating almost at all, but then would start moving very slowly.once up to speed of about 55 miles per hour, driving was ok.pulled of exit goinghome and came to stop light.turned green and went to accelerate and heard a loud pop and that was the end of driving. Car is still sitting at residence in current condition.

Full transmission failure. Vehicle was travelling on the highway at approximately 70 miles per hour when the vehicle lost traction and the engine revved to the redline. Nearly all warning lights illuminated on the dash. Driver made his way to the side of the road and turned the car off. Upon restarting the vehicle, the transmission refused to to shift into drive. Vehicle was towed to a local honda dealer and diagnosed with transmission failure. $3500. Vehicle has 75,000 miles and is equipped with the automatic transmission.

The contact owns a 2015 honda civic. The contact stated that while her daughter was driving 77 mph, the vehicle decelerated independently without warning. The contact veered to shoulder of the roadway and the front wheel seized. The vehicle was turned off and restarted but failed to resume normal operation. The vehicle was slowly driven to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the transmission failed and needed to be replaced or repaired. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle then was towed to bob howard honda (13201 n kelley ave, oklahoma city, ok 73131) and it was confirmed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and provided the contact with a case number. The failure mileage was approximately 66,084.

Driving and it just cut off in busy highway.! got it to side of road. It would start but when you put in drive or reverse anything..the gears seemed as if it was in neutral.the car would not move.! i bought new. Kept up with anything that needed done. This could have killed my son!! no warning lights came on. Didnt overheat. Just cut off.

Vehicle(mileage70,511) was about to enter a highway, when i hear a noise in the power train like a pop sound, thenstart loosing power andstop.i know is a recall on 2014 -15 honda civicbut when i use the vin doen not show on the systemhondadealer is not accepting my car for replacing my transmitionand they told me to get a lawyer...'''''car was manufactured on 2014 . I need help.

The contact owns a 2015 honda civic. The contact stated that she noticed there was fluid leaking on the ground while the vehicle was parked. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and diagnosed that the transmission cap had come loose and the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired and remained at the dealer awaiting a transmission replacement. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but informed the contact that there was no recall associated with the vin. The failure mileage was unknown.

While driving this civic at approximately 40 mph, it suddenly started surging and decelerating. All lights lit up on the dashboard and became difficult to steer. Had to cut off traffic to pull to the side of the road. It was taken to the local honda dealer for inspection. They called a day later and said: "the drive pulley shaft no good. Need new transmission, want to replace?" i did some research and saw the recall for many hondas for the same problem. In discussing this with the dealer, they refused to assist since its not a recall car. I get it but: its the same part! further, the car is managed by a 'maintenance reminder'. It tells you when to change fluids/perform maintenance based on driving habits. Not once did the transmission service announcement light up. The dealer said its our fault because we didn't complete a service at 30k intervals. Absolute nightmare. Who has 7k for a transmission on a 15k car???

While driving on the highway at 70mph, the engine rpm rapidly increased with no acceleration.the driver was able to cross 4 lanes and get to the shoulder safely.multiple warning lights came on to include: check engine, check transmission, power steering, hill start, and tpms.the car would not shift gears other than park or neutral.the engine would respond normally when the pedal was pressed but was not engaged by the drive train.the car was towed to a honda dealer that found the transmission drive pulley had broken requiring a totally new transmission.nhtsa recall number 15v574000 was referenced but honda would not accept it for coverage or as a causal issue. Service department members at the dealer admitted that that recalled issue was at fault for what happened to the vehicle.honda recall still refused that the car was not affected by the issue listed in 15v574000 as it was not tied to the vin in the honda database.car indications and maintenance reports list the same indications and problems listed in the recall.

Put the gear in park. Left car running, whilei had to manually close the garage door.car started moving and damaged the wooden back wall of the garage. My landlord owns the garage and this incidentcaused $ 500 in damages. This issue could easily kill a person. Why does honda not reporta serious issue like that. They are known to have transmission related issues.

At 83450 miles the transmission went out. I drive easy highway miles to work. No stop and go traffic. I was stopped in my driveway when several warning lights began to flash one after the other. I remember the uphill assist light, power steeringlight, and 2 others came on. The car is now not under warranty. The dealership wants 3700 plus alignment for a used transmission with 86000 miles on it.

I have the air bags ligh on in my car .,i need to check that .. I bought this car with the light on

I had a car accident a couple days ago i got injured from my neck and my back i hit my head on the steering wheel due to a malfunction of my air bags. They didn't deploy. But my car is asking me to check the air bag system and they turned off also my seat belt for some reason got stucked it won't pull more.

We purchased this car on april 11, 2015. Don't drive the car everyday. However, every time i am in the car, even for short distances, i get really sick--headache, nausea, tightness in the head, and extreme tiredness. I am not prone to car sickness, and have driven a brand new honda accord previously, and have never experienced these symptoms before. A 2011 report cites honda civic as being the 'healthiest' car to drive. Has something changed in the materials that honda now uses? is anyone else experiencing these problems? what can i do next? how long before ventilation dissipates these issues?

Ongoing issue.headrest angle is nonadjustable (only height is) and thus isn't safe for everyone. It pushes the head down and compromises spinal alignment. People with thinner torsos or who sit more upright are at the most risk. Options to fix this involve using padding on the back of the seat or bending the bars in the headrest, both of which would provide sufficient daily comfort, but could result in injury in an accident. A much better solution would be the ability to adjust the angle of the head restraint for proper positioning and associated instructions in the safety section of the car's manual.

We were stopped in traffic, seat belts were fastened, turn signal on, and we were rear-ended by a work van moving at very high speed.our car was totaled.the front seats were broken due to the impact.no airbags deployed. Not front, not side.

Vehicle head-rest forces the head into an uncomfortable position causing neck pain.

Headrest and concaved seats are making my life miserable. I have a long commute in la traffic to/from work. I usually use the time to relax and decompress from a day of teacher, instead this time has become dreadful and painful experience. I've have back problems and next problem for years and i've recently realized its my stupid car! i just returned from a 3 week trip and my back problems were nonexistent during my travels...first day back home and driving and my back is killing me again! in hindsight, this has been the same for previous trips. Such a disappointment as i've been a loyal honda driver.

The contact owns a 2015 honda civic. The contact stated that the head restraints force her head forward in a difficult position. The contact was uncomfortable while driving the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the head rests could not be adjusted for safety reasons. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was 5,500.

I first purchased a 2015 honda civic and started hearing this "grinding/creaky" when i pushed down on my brakes, coming from my rear. Don't get me wrong, i am able to use my brakes as i wanted, but when i pushed down on the brakes to put in gear or just pushed down a little too hard, i would hear this noise. Also i noticed, whenever i had a full tank of gas (took me a while to figure this out),i would hear this "thumping" noise. If i do not have gas in my car, i do not hear the noise. I went back to the dealership a total of 3 times. The mechanics told me these were not normal noises, they tried to diagnose my car, if kept my car the last time for 5 days but was unable to get the sound to really go away. I even tired to take it to another honda dealership to get my car looked at, but i was told, "to take my car back where i bought it from because its clear there is a problem, and they didn't want their techs name on it". I was shocked. I went back to the original dealer and they even called the american honda technicians who were of no help. I was fed up and felt unsafe in my car, since i was being told these were not "normal" noises, i asked to trade in my car (same exact year/model). Despite test driving the secondcar (on an empty gas tank), i didn't hear any noises initially. But now its been a few days and i hear the exact same noises in this car, as i did the first one. I have no idea what to do. I just want a car that does not make any of these noises. I just traded in my car to receive this one i am currently driving on 2/5/16. I have yet to go back to the dealership to let them know of these noises on the 2nd car, because i fear being jerked around again. I reached out to corporate and received a case manager named robin who has yet to get back to me and never returns phone calls. I am desperate to find out these noises.

Driving under 30 mph in a residential area a cat crossed my path. I swiverd to the rightscrapped a parked car and hit my breaks hard and my front axle went out. The front right tire practically came out leaving the car wrecked

The transmission drive pulley shaft is damaged, i was driving on the freeway and the car locked up and braked and the front wheels locked up. This is bad luckily i was on a deserted freeway and no one was behind me. This is dangerous.

The emergency brake on this vehicle does not keep the car from moving, the vehicle continues to move after you apply the emergency brake to stop the car.

Brake problem. Safety concern. Had to panic brake hard and fast to avoid an accident while going straight at street speed of less than 25 mph. New noise immediately after event: 'metallic cluck' sound upon brake pedal return coming from firewall where vacuum booster and master cylinder are located. Also now experiencing intermittent 'high hard brake pedal' (vacuum assist problem?) several times while driving and while parked. Towed to dealer. Brake problems should not result when they are used as intended.safety concern.

While traveling at slow speeds in city driving, the car tends to lurch forward. Concerned about takata airbag- before i bought vehicle asked if one was installed and/ or airbag manufacturer.could not get an answer and was told to buy a 2015 "just to be safe".in light of the 2015 vw takata airbag that just ruptured i would like advice on what to do as i bought the car .it is hard to believe that takata would be allowed to continue putting airbags in without knowing the cause.

The steering wheel on my 2015 honda civic is defective. The steering wheel is disintegrating making the hand grip on the wheel unsafe.this issue has been known by honda corp for years and they refuse to replace this unsafe steering wheel due to vehicle warranty has expired. However they did not state that the steering wheel is operation is safe. Honda stated they would only replace if the nhtsa directed a recall for replacement. I have seen numerous 9th generation honda civic's with this same issue. My grandson's car is a 2013 civic with the same issue disintegration and gummy sticky steering wheel. Why would this be considered a safe operation of a motor vehicle? a search online will show a number of civic owners have replaced this model steering wheel at their own cost. I have owned a number of honda's to include civic, pilot, acura tl, accords and i have never had this problem before. It should be a recall issue for all 9th generation honda civic's, especially with young people purchasing this affordable car.

Ever since i bought this car, the steering has been driving me crazy!! i cannot keep this vehicle straight while driving on the freeway. I thought it was because of the original cheap tires that came with the vehicle. I am on my 3rd set of tires and 3 alignments from the dealership with no fix!!!no matter what i do.... The car swerves all over the road. Especially when going highway speeds. Contacted honda corporate and they basically said they can't do anything.dear honda...u are putting my life at risk with this 2015 honda civic. I am terrified to drive on the highway due to the instability of this car. It's seriously mentally and physically taxing to keep this vehicle from veering all over the road. I am not kidding when i say this...if i was driving behind my civic...i would think the driver was drunk. Absolutely the most un planted vehicle i have ever driven. I am begging you honda...please address the wandering steering in my 2015 civic!!! it is dangerous!!!!

Trying to stop car but it accelerate and wheels lock causing an accident

Takatathis morning when i did start the car, there was a warning sign " check power steering system" and the steering wheelextremely difficult to turn. I did call the dealer and left the car to diagnose the problem. It is only 10 months and millage around 9000. Dealer told me some part needed to replace (harness) and will cost around $450. Is this manufactured problem ? recall?

Around 8500 miles while drive 35 mphthe car suddenly veered to the right hitting the curb causing $1200 plus damages to the wheel, etc.around 12,250 miles while driving 45-50 mphthe car suddenly veered to the rightand ran off the road causing a broken back and $725 in damage to the wheel skirts.this happened 5/13/16.subsequently this happened two more times around 40-45 mph but with no accidents as no cars were in the right lane.reported to american honda and the case was dismissed as they can't identify any problems.the steering wheel wobbles but not codes show up.

I went out to move my car in the driveway this morning and was shocked that my power steering had suddenly failed out of nowhere while backing up.the car was extremely hard to maneuver in the driveway (certainly can't drive it anywhere), and the power steering warning appeared on the dash.20 minutes later, it was back to normal, but now i am afraid to drive it.

The contact owns a 2015 honda civic. While attempting to stop the vehicle, it veered to the right and all of the warning lights illuminated. As a result, the contact lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a pole. The air bags did not deploy. A police report was not filed and no injuries were sustained. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, but the technician was unable to diagnose the failure. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the tie rod had fractured and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vin was not available. The failure mileage was 12,000.

We were stopped in traffic, seat belts were fastened, turn signal on, and we were rear-ended by a work van moving at very high speed.our car was totaled.the front seats were broken due to the impact.no airbags deployed. Not front, not side.

We bought the car brand new and paint has been chipping and peeling after the 3rd year we owned the vehicle and it's gotten worse and the dealer we bought it from will not do anything about it.we have also tried honda's corporate office.

This is my everyday use car and bought it brand new 2015 and arround 2018 the paint started to scrape off in some areas. I did not use any chemical or anything like that. I use it in the city and the weather is not extreme.

I have a 2015 honda civic and the white paint has started peeling around the back window.

The contact had to pull over several times on the road shoulder to regain sight. The contact was concerned that he may cause a crash due to the failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer however; the dealer advised they were unable to correct the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 10,000.

The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 51,000.

Air bags have been replaced but vin number on the air bags have been removed.

I bought this car brand new on 06/01/2015 from honda. I have taken very good care of it in that time. I recently noticed the paint is literally pealing off the car around the rear windshield. I went to a local body shop and was informed that many honda, toyota, kia products were having similar issues with the paint especially in white.i called the honda customer service line and explained the situation and apparently the recall for the paint issue doesn't cove my particular year make and model. So now am left with an only 5 year old car with pealing paint. So i have to incur the repair costs and hope that more of the paint doesn't end up coming off.

Upon viewing an accident in front of me, i parked on side of road, applied emergency flashers, called 911 (hand held- not attached to car) and was removing keys from ignition & trying to open driver side door & exit car to render aid. Car door would not open. I unlocked door manually at handle. Still would not open. I re-inserted key, turned engine on, pushed door open button. Door not open. (i was dialing & talking with 911 operator during this time. I was getting excited about need to get to victim(s) of accident, but couldn't get out of my car. I eventually climbed over middle console to exit car from passenger's door. Now-- driver's doorstill can not be opened from the inside, but works as usual from the outside.. This is very concerning.this is the first time i experienced this problem and it scared me of the implications, afterwards. If i had been involved in emergency and needed to exit car quickly, i would not have been able to do so.

Driving under 30 mph in a residential area a cat crossed my path. I swiverd to the rightscrapped a parked car and hit my breaks hard and my front axle went out. The front right tire practically came out leaving the car wrecked

Wheel bearing defective caused loud noise while driving

Noticed my vin number looks different and my settings for radio, wallpaper, usb and phone dash board has changed after my ex-husband took car supposely to get oil change

The paint is peeling off the car at the back window.

The ac compressor broke and needed replaced.this is on a car with 69785 miles that is only 6 years old.this is defective and it seems to be a common issue.i think that this should be subject to a recall

When i was driving down the highway at a constant speed, the moonroof glass randomly exploded. No rocks or foreign object struck the glass, it was a spontaneous event.

Air conditioner started working part of the time. Half the time would blow hot and other blow cold. I took to an air conditioner expert and was told i needed all new system and that honda is known for this problem. My vehicle is only 5 years old and i have done all services on time. Now i am out $950.00 to stay cool.

While driving in parking lot of the mall my sunroof just popped. Sounded like a gun shot. Nothing hit my roof just popped.

After a short drive, i noticed a bulge in the right rear tire. This tire is original to the vehicle and has approximately 1700 miles of wear.

Driving normally when a sudden & very loud bang/crack was heard and i immediately felt small glass bits falling on me. Immediately pulled over and saw that the sunroof had exploded upwards towards the sky with a large hole in the center and a much smaller hole on the drivers side. Incident occurred while driving westbound on e northwest hwy between town north dr & abrams rd (dallas, tx 75231). No objects found in the car that would imply a foreign object hitting the vehicle. No bridges were driven under when incident occurred.

Rear view camera has very poor image. It is too dark to be reliable as a safety feature. Camera is so bad it could actually present a hazard if you rely on it. Online forums confirm this is a common complaint.

My mother leases a honda civic 2015 and was parking the car at a slow speed , foot on break the engine surged and the car sped forward. The car hit the car in front of me. I immediately put the car in park and shut it off. After a few minutes i restarted the car to back it up --as soon as i put it in reverse (with my foot covering the break) it surged again and the car sped backwards. I filed a case with honda america 05128777- they inspected the car and say they can not find any reason for this. I am posting this because it was really frightening and i do not want this to happen to anyone else.

When it is sunny outside the rear view camera image is so dark that the camera is not a reliable tool for use backing the car up, thus, it is not performing as designed.

Transmissions light did not go on to alert now is not moving

I think the transmission is not making the changes correctly

Traveling on the highway at around 65 mph when i heard a loud bang come from the top of the car.the moonroof had unexpectedly shattered.heater was on, weather was around 60 fahrenheit in california.when the moonroof shattered, i was no where near an over pass; i have no reason to believe something from the exterior caused the damage.glass shattered outward, but bits still fell within the vehicle. Photo can corroborate outward trajectory.

I was driving down the road and then heard a loud boom sound. No other vehicles were anywhere around me. When i got home i noticed my sunroof had exploded. I have cleaned up glass. Now i'm gonna have to wait until i can afford to replace it. Not sure why it exploded, but i am vulnerable to car theft now. This is not right. I don't feel my car is secure without the glass on my roof. Should be a way to get manufacturers to help.also, i am lucky to have had the window fully open.

Sticking drive by wire throttle body system , when shifting clutch is not releasing right or to the vehicle specs on the vehicle and engine vibration when idling. When starting to drive , vehicle engine vibration when driving on normal road an highway too.

When turning the vehicle on and turning the ac vents blower motor makes loud whining noise. Theres times where it completely stops working at times. The unit wont throw any air thru vents. Problem continues to happen ac blower motor was changed once.

There is a buzz/vibrating sound when the air blower is on. There is a current service bulletin out there for honda civic 2012 service bulletin 13-041. This should be amended to include all honda civic 2015.

I leased a new 2015 honda civic from ourisman honda in bethesda, maryland in june 2015.shortly after this purchase, i started to see small pale spiders in the car.this is the first time i have ever seen a spider in any car that i have owned. I see about 1 spider a week and most recently, this morning july 11th involving a spider about 1/2 an inch in diameter and an off-white/pale color.i took the car into the dealership this morning and my complaint was greeted with both incredulity and mirth.one of the service people said that spiders are part of nature and that there is nothing they could do.i am filing this report with dot as well as the state of md and ourisman in hopes that honda will do something about this before someone (including myself) gets into a car accident.

My 2015 honda civic has paint peeling off in sheets.the possible safety issue isn't my car but other cars around me when driving.if a sheet of paint peels off and lands on a driver's windshield causing them not to be able to see that's a huge safety issue.honda refuses to own up to the paint defect and isn't willing to thoroughly correct the problem.

At around 130k miles, air bag light comes on. Goes on and off sporadically. Been doing this over 2 months. Happens anytime from when starting the car, to driving, stationary, turning, anywhere.

My rear view cameras is extremely dark and dangerous to use, especially in the sun (i believe they are all that way) i went to the dealer in port charlotte florida where i bought the car twi times and after 3 employees agreed you can not see well enough out of it to be able to use it they had me bring it back so they can have their master tech call a company master tech to trouble shoot the problem and it would take 3 to 4 hours. The result they gave me in writing was "working as designed".there is obviously something wrong with the design as my 2012 honda crv worked great and the 2013 honda civics worked great.they changed the camera in the civic in 2014, i think they are all bad too.

Vehicle is stationary. Car will turn on power but not the engine. It will make a flicker sound then show all check signs on dash board. This have twice already. Sometime it will not even start or power on the vehicle. This will occur the entire day bu t the next day its totally fine. All check lights go away and car starts normal.

I was slowly turning my vehicle into a parking space in the parking lot of a restaurant. The car was facing thebuilding with a sidewalk between the car and the building. The vehicle unexpectedly and uncontrollably accelerated on its own.pressing on the brake did not slow it down at all. The vehicle lurched forward, jumping the curbed sidewalk and stopped when it crashed into the brick wall of the building. I was able to steer away from the large window that was directly in front of me. It was noon and fortunately there were no customers on the sidewalk. The vehicle suffered extensive front end damage costing $7773 in repairs. I wasevaluated at the scene by ambulance crew. I had an elevated blood pressure and a sore shoulder/neck. The dealer's staff and the regional manager insisted that this was not a failure of the vehicle, but human error. I know i wasnot pressing on the gas. The regional manager asked me to drive the vehicle to the crash site to demonstrate for him what had happened as it would make it more clear to him than reading about it. I declined this ludicrous request! a police report is available as well as insurance claims and photographs.

The contact owns a 2015 honda civic. While driving at unknown speeds, the brake pedal was applied; however, the vehicle accelerated without warningthe emergency brake was engaged, but the vehicle continued to accelerate. The contactturned off the vehicle in order to stop it from accelerating. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer (hendrick honda pompano beach, 5381 n federal hwy, pompano beach, fl 33054), but the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the failure recurred again and the vehicle was taken to hendrick honda again. The failure was unable to be duplicated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired; however, the dealer informed the contact to document the failure when it recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the issue and advised the contact that a specialist would inspect the vehicle. The vin was unknown. The failure mileage was 2,200.

Ii had pulled out of a parking lot and was preparing to make a left turn.to allow an oncoming car to pass, i stopped in the intersection.however, the vehicle behind me was following too closely, and hit my rear bumper.upon impact, my car suddenly revved and accelerated to perhaps 20-30 mph.i pressed harder on the brake, but the acceleration continued. I quickly applied the hand brake, and my vehicle came to a stop in the driveway of a facing business.fortunately, no human or property damage occurred.i took my vehicle to the honda dealer, who thoroughly inspected the applicable components; they could find no problems, so they contacted honda, who subsequently came out but again could find no problems. The dealership suggested that i might have erroneously applied the accelerator instead of the brake, but i know that this is not true.i have many years of excellent driving experience, and quick reaction time.i am absolutely positive that i was applying the brake, and that my car experienced unintended acceleration.with a supposed clean bill of health, this car continues to be my mode of transportation.however, i always have an underlying fear that this unintended acceleration might occur again.

3 incidents of unintended acceleration - each time i was turning left into a parking space slowly when the engine rev'd and the car lurched forward.the 3rd incident ended with my car speeding through a plate glass window.the dealership assumes that i hit the accelerator instead of the brake.i definitely did not.i applied the brake and was gliding into the parking spot.when the car sped up. The brake failed to stop it.

Speedometer sticking reading over 60 when going less than 40.when stopped it read at 23 just do not calibrate correctly.service department had to re-write the the tcm software.. No one could explain why this happen! it is still not accurate & yes it is a major safety concern

Unintended acceleration on 01/27/2016 when the vehicle was about to make right turn on an intersection with the right traffic light on. Suddenly it accelerated at about 60miles and hour. All my effort to stop it by applying the breaks failed temporarily. The odometer reading on the car is about 13,400 miles. No accident occurred. The vehicle is currently parked and not to be driven until honda corporation tells me what to do. I have never had this experience with other cars i have owned or driven over the past 22 years.

Driving down the road and lost acceleration in drive position.

Trying to stop car but it accelerate and wheels lock causing an accident

I was driving home on i-80 and while the vehicle was in motion, the vehicle stopped accelerating.i would push on the gas and the vehicle would not accelerate. Rpms would go to 4000.the vehicle began to slow. I could have got into an accident but pulled off onto the right side of the highway. The car was running but would not accelerate. I called my insurance company to tow the vehicle. The auto shop who assessed the car said the transmission went out. There is only 158,000 miles on the car and the transmission should just stop working. The shop said it would be $5100 to replace.

With the manual transmission, when gearing down, depressing the clutch does not disengage the cruise control, so when you release the clutch, the vehicle resumes the original cruise set speed without pressing the "resume" button on the steering wheel.when we took the vehicle back to the dealer, they told us it is supposed to work that way.i have been driving manual transmission vehicles for 30 years, and it is common knowledge that depressing either the clutch or brake should disengage the cruise control.

The contact leased a 2015 honda civic. The contact stated that the side view mirrors and the rear windows obstructed her vision while driving. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was 3,500. ...updated 09/12/16

Leaving work this morning, i turned on my car and activated the rear defroster. After driving for about 10 mintues, my rear window literally exploded sounding like a cannon went off right behind my head. I was driving at aprox. 15 mph on a even road surface so ive ruled out vibrations and also it was about 75 degrees f so heat couldn't have caused it from rapid temp changes. The only thing i have let to wonder is if it was a defect in the defroster that caused the glass to become too hot and cause this. My dealership has not taken any measures to pulling amps from the defroster to see if there is a defect in the defroster and have refused to service this under a manufacturer warranty. Is there any record of this happening to other hondas? if so, i may be able to prove it was a defect from the manufacturer. Thank you for your time.

The contact owns a 2015 honda civic. While driving approximately 50 mph, the contact heard a rattling noise underneath the vehicle near the tires. The contact turned off the radio to hear the noise and noticed a wind noise. The contact then slid the cover for the sun roof back and noticed that the sun roof glass had blown out. The contact took the vehicle to the round rock honda dealer (2301 n interstate hwy 35, round rock, tx 78664; 512-904-6900) where it was diagnosed that the glass needed to be replaced. The dealer was unable to identify the cause of the failure. The contact researched the failure and discovered that it was common. The dealer stated that the repair was not covered under warranty. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 24,500.

I have a 2015 honda civic with the lx trim package.the screen for the backup camera is small and back about 3 inches under the dash overhang.in bright daylight this screen is unreadable during backup due to light washout and glare. It works well at night, but almost not at all in sunlight.because of the high mounted rear window there is no visibility for several feet behind the car when backing up without the backup camera. I have backed into several things that did not stick up above the trunk line that could have just as easily been a small child.this car has the worst daylight backup visibility of any car i have ever owned.i believe it is unsafe.

Tpms light will not reset if all four tires are not the same brand. Tire pressures have been normal. Multiple repairs have been made with no avail. The tmps sensor light is able to be temporarily reset, but goes off again after driving for a brief time. Only way to fix it per two separate honda dealerships is to get all four new tires. The safety and warning light is annoying and distracting. It also makes passengers in the vehicle feel weary of the car's safety which makes the vehicle difficult to use to transport business partners, etc.

I just bought this car afew days ago and i'm already having problems with tire pressure holding.the tires are brand new issued by the honda dealership where i bought the car. I was told by the service dept today that this is a common problem and to expect it. That is unexceptable and extremely dangerous!! i'm was reading the 2014 honda civic has a recap for this problem.. Why has the 2015 not been recalled? if i have an accident i will sue honda!!!

This car is one year old and maintained following the service manual and rear tires are bald on 1/2 outside tread , 19,000 miles of mostly highway !

Two of my four michelin pilot sport tires have belt separation. There is no evidence of impact damage (bulged sidewalls) the tires have under 28k miles, and the remaining tread i estimate at 6/32s. Both of these tires have spent most of their life on the rear of my 2015 honda civic sedan. Being on the rear (to me) means no weight of the engine/transmission, no steering force, no acceleration force, and under 50% of braking force. The front tires are in good condition. I noticed the problem with a gradual increase in noise from the rear, and i cannot pinpoint the exact start. The diagnosis came from costco tire center #0328. The technician showed me and had me touch/feel the defects with my hands. The defects are in the center of the tread, and are not near the sides at all. My tire size is 215/55r16i do not have photos or further attachments. I can provide the serial numbers if required. The date below represents the diagnosis date. The zero speed represents at the time of diagnosis while the car was on the lift.

I bought this vehicle used with less than 3500 miles on it from vandergriff honda in arlington, tx; it has no functioning tpms , which is required in a 2015 vehicle.

The tpms keeps coming on.i have asked honda since 2015 when i picked up my brand new car to look into it and they tell me nothing is wrong. I have asked 5 times and still nothing has been done.the sensor keeps coming back every couple of miles. All honda does is reset it and that's it. They tell me all i have to do is reset it.what if something really is wrong when i'm driving? something can happen but honda says nothing is wrong. I don't think that is true.i can't even travel or take my car any where in the past 1 1/2 years because the sensor always comes on.i have less than 500 miles and i bought this car brand new and i do not even trust honda and it's cars any more.waste of money and disappointed for my first car. Honda lies and does not fix the problem.

The tpms (tire pressure monitor system) warning light turns on every so often for no reason. I bought a tire pressure checker and when it turned on i checked all four tires per the psi recommendation on the door panel sticker and they were in that range. It seems to me the system is faulty. It could be a software problem.

Driving under 30 mph in a residential area a cat crossed my path. I swiverd to the rightscrapped a parked car and hit my breaks hard and my front axle went out. The front right tire practically came out leaving the car wrecked
