Takata recall - my recall lookup says remedy is not yet available, but the initial estimates say i should expect a recall in late summer/fall of 2016. If a remedy is not available in a timely manner, the lookup says to file a complaint.
I was informed of an airbag recall in july 2016 and was told parts needed would become available in late summer/fall of 2016. It has been 5 months and still no communication from manufacturer and no repair has been made.

Takata recall:i am trying to determine whether i need to take my 2011 honda civic sedan in to check the air bags and possibly replace them. I thought the most recent recall notices cited the honda civic 2011 passenger side airbag as a potential problem. I have not had any accidents or malfunctions so far, but i am very concerned.

And also the wheels thru to the asphalts the wheels was very noise it look like the wheels gonna run out,
Car lost control on the road and moved outside of the road when the side air bags got deployed. When they got deployed the air bags did not inflate. This has caused the head to be hit on the windows of the car pretty hard. How could it happen that the air bags god deployed but no air got inflated into the airbags. They just fell as if a cloth \ curtain was coming out without inflating. Attached pictures should give you an idea.

Dashboard indicator light came on for airbag system. Took to a shop and they read to codes to determine that it was a faulty pressure sensor in the passenger seat that is causing the problem.
I'm realizing that my passenger air bags has had multiple recalls made.
Takata recalli was informed by my friend to check the vin of my car for a recall on 6/24/16 because he received a noticed about a recall on certain models of honda vehicles. I searched my vin on the rick case honda davie website and found out my car was affected and made an appointment to go in on 7/2/16 12 pm. When i went in to the dealership for my appointment with arnold fernandez, he stated that they do not have the parts and had to order it by each car's vin. He told me he ordered the part and when it was ready someone from honda would call me and help me make an appointment for me to bring my car in to fix it. He told me it would probably take 2 weeks. Late july i finally received a letter from honda informing me about the recall. At this time it had been 3 weeks since the part was supposedly ordered, i called honda's customer service to see if the part was in yet and they said if i didn't receive a call from them then its not in yet. I asked the customer service rep to check to make sure the part was ordered and she said she could not check and i had to wait for the call. It is now 8/31/16, exactly 60 days from the day i made my first appointment with them on 7/2/16. This issue has not been resolved. I have been driving in a car for 60 days that is unsafe for me and my family.
Correction action required on airbag status. Theairbags were fixed last year november 2nd, 2019 at honda roush dealership in westerville, ohioplease contact honda roush for details
Takata inflator. Honda sent recall notice one year ago but opportunity to repair/remedy is not yet available even though they proposed that it would be by 6-9 months. No incident has occurred.

Tamara recall: my front passenger airbag does not work. The car l has never been in any accidents. I've been told by 2 different mechanic's
At approximately 35 to 40 mph when applying the brakes lately due to traffic slowing down in front i had absolutely no brake pedal at all. The pedal went immediately down to the floor and the vehicle had failed to slow or stop. To avoid accident i veered to the dirt shoulder and begin to spin out of control ending up back on the road and crashing into another vehicle.the seatbelts had failed to lock as if the brake pedal was never depressed and it appeared that as soon as the tires hit the dirt shoulder the vehicle gain speed. In addition airbags were never deflated.
Takata recalli received my safety recall letter in july which stated i parts would be available late summer/fall. We proceeded in not allowing someone in our passenger side of our car. We called about the recall and were told the parts were not in. We called again and where told noone had put our name down for them to order the parts. We left our name and we were told they should be in in a week. We called back and the parts were not in and were told they would call as soon as they got them. We are now at the end of october and after several calls we have not been called back or received any more information. We have called again and same answer no parts. We use our vehicle to transport our children to school. We have not even been offered a free car rental to use until they get it fixed. This issue started in july.
Takata recall - my complaint is with the amount of time it is taking for parts to become available to repair a honda civic i purchased for my daughter and her family.i received a letter in july 2016 indicating that the 'remedy parts needed to conduct passenger frontal airbag inflator recalls will become available in late summer/fall of 2016'.i also was advised i would receive another letter when the parts were available.until such time as the vehicle is repaired i was advised: "honda suggests that you avoid having a passenger sit in the front passenger's seat until the recall repair has been performed."as of today, december 30, 2016, i have not received the 2nd letter.it is extremely stressful for a mother to have her child sit in the front passenger seat when she knows this poses a danger.however, when the car is used for a single mom with three children, there are no other options. I feel honda should compensate families by providing a safe rental car until parts are available to repair the car affected by the recall. Thank you for reading my concern.
I was involved in a crash friday, 12/2 and neither my airbag or seat belt did what they were supposed to do. I accidentally rear-ended someone on the highway in moderate traffic going approximately 20-25 mph, and my airbag did not deploy, and my seat belt did not lock, which led to me hitting my head on the steering wheel.
I was driving down a city street my car hit a pothole and my airbags deplored.
Takata recallreceived recall letter 07/2016 and there is still no remedy available on 10/29/2016. Letter claimed that remedy would be available in the late summer or fall. Letter also advised not to have anybody sit in front passenger seat which is extremely inconvenient .
On 1/15/13 i was involved in an accident where the front of my 2011 honda civic struck the side of another vehicle. The impact caused me to strike the steering wheel because the airbag did not deploy. My airbag light is on an my seat belt will not engage. I sustained injuries to my upper body because the airbag did not properly deploy. What are my options at this point.
The contact owns a 2011 honda civic. While driving 20 mph over a pothole, the air bags deployed and the windshield fractured. There were no injuries. Went to honda dealer this week. Asked if there were any recalls since having problems with visors. Honda service rep said none. Found your website mentioning recall with air bags that didn't know about, also complaints (not recall) with visors. Both sun visors have separated at seams, same problem as my 2006 civic. Unfortunately by the time i heard about recall i had traded my car in. But it's the same problem, the visor will not stay up and this is a safety hazard. The honda service rep said no recalls. Honda dealer wants me to pay $63 plus tax for a new driver visor (forget replacing passenger visor). It should be recalled since it's the same problem as the past civic models.now need to pursue them on air bag recall since i wasn't aware of this and he said there were no recalls when at honda dealer this week.
Purchased a brand new 2011 honda civic 4d lxs model car in march. Within a month the car head computer issue that caused all of the electronic display control to break, speedometer, engine temperature, gas indicator, odometer, etc. All went dead. The car was taken in for service, but no root-causes were found for the issue. After the car had the battery discharged an recharged the issue simply went away.on 6/12/11 the car was involved in an accident where the car accelerated uncontrollably while attempting to park, brakes weren't functional and it jumped a curb a and ran through a fence before finally coming to a stop. The airbag also didn't deploy, we feel it should have due to the nature of the accident.we feel these could be all related a manufacturer defect that's an underlying electronics issue.
I was stopped at a stop sign at an intersection.a gmc suv went through the stop sign, at a high rate of speed, across from me, t-boned a subaru that had the right of way, and then the gmc crashed into my front end.the accident destroyed my front end and moved my car into an angle.neither my drivers or passengers airbags deployed.it is possible that the accident missed an airbag sensor, but i would be amazed.

Takata recall. Due to potential injury/death to passengers in my vehicle, i cannot have anyone ride in the passenger seat. This is unacceptable for my job and inconvenient for my personal time. No remedy is available, despite honda saying one would be available in 2016.
I was traveling 60mph on a 4 lane highway in the right lane south bound. A large trash truck was in the left lane doing about 55 mph in the south bound lane. He crossed the center line and struck me in the rear passenger door on the left side. The car spun out of control in front of the truck. The truck broadsided my car in both doors on the drivers side. The car spun again and hit into the center guard rails dividing the four lane highway with the right rear corner of the bumper and came to a stop. The trash truck then ran over the left front corner of the car with his rear set of axles on the left side of the truck. No front or side air bags deployed. The side air bags might have kept my wife from being injured. I was not injured. $15,000 damage to the car.
The contact owns a 2011 honda civic. The contact statedwhile driving approximately 25 mph the instrument panel lights suddenly began to flicker. For the past year i have been calling honda of north america regarding my dash flickering out where i can not see how fast i am driving, my engine temperature and how much fuel is left in my car.on october 22, 2018 i finally got in touch with someone at honda in the president's office who said this is a safety issue they would address the issue.they transferred me to an agent who was created a ticket for my complaint.the ticket number is [xxx].they said someone would contact me and that didn't happen.when i called back in on tuesday october 23, 2018 then told me that they don't want address this issue unless i pay for a honda dealershipto run diagnostics on my car and i pay for it out of pocket. For the diagnostics. I know i am not the original owner of my honda but if honda admitted to me that this is a safety issue that needs to be addressed, i feel honda should address this issue at no charge to me. Please contact me back at [xxx]. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).
Vehicle rollover crash. Fire seems to be from a recalled fuel valve. If my family burnt alive in that vehicle i would have a sick vendetta for those responsible for the non reporting of safety concerns to me as an insured driver. Including but not limited to all parties involved or responsible. This is a child safety concern. Children can be burned alive due to this hazard of engineering designed to cause total destruction for profiting purposes. The technologies at hand are too great for this type of absolute incompetence to occur. Honda should be barred from doing business in the us until such issues are addressed.
On several occasions, while my daughter was driving at normal speed of traffic on the highway, as well as on streets, the car simply shuts off.this occurs regardless of the level of fuel, even when it is full.the car has been serviced and maintained per recommendations by honda.it is not a battery issue.after a few minutes, the car is able to start again.it is very scary when it happens. My daughter took the car to a honda dealership and at first they did not find anything wrong so they "released" it back to her.unfortunately, it stalled out again while she drove itso she brought it back to the dealership. They have since been able to replicate the "stall out"themselves but have not been able to find the cause.they have been in contact with honda engineers to investigate, but it is unclear if they have ruled out a defective fuel level sensor, ignition problem,or electrical problem or other issue.they have had the car for three weeks.
The contact owns a 2016 honda civic. The contact stated that the driver's seat adjusted independently. There was no warning prior to the failure. The vehicle was taken to mike maroone honda (1103 academy park loop, colorado springs, co 80910, (719)888-2995) where the contact was informed there would be a fee charged to have the vehicle diagnosed. The contact declined. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
Own a 2010 honda civic hybrid.over the last 18 months have gotten 35-42 mpg depending on city or highway.over all have been happy will purchase until the last several weeks.3 weeks ago had to take care into service (at 25000 miles) was told the problems i was having of inability to retain charge on ima battery was due to a weak battery. Itwas decided by the service dept to replace battery.battery was replaced and is keeping a somewhat better charge but have noticed a significant decrease in power and the auto stop function only working occasionally, also noticed a decrease of mileage down to 23-25 mpg in city.took the car back to service and after they ran diagnostic test and reviewing with honda "tech" people was told that performance was how they intended to decrease wear on batteries life.a car with no power to go up small hills and a 25mpg average is not what i spent 27000$ on andthat it is certainly not what honda advertised the car to be.

(odi number) is: 10464481 already on file. Automobile is at dealership, no rental car provided as promised by american honda corporate office. Dealership is stating that unless the duplication happens while the automobile is at their location; nothing can be done?car is accelerating at stop lights while foot is on brake, and car will not accelerate at times when the gas pedal is applied.doors are automatically locking.
Honda civic 2011-car proceeded into intersection even though the brake was applied, low visability headlights, passenger back door right side rattles like it is not shut, odometer digital numbers going out,car is not changing gears even though it is a automatic until almost 4000 rpm, drivers and passengers doors swing back and hit you in your legs or body.paint chipping on trunk.recalls on vehicle pertaining to airbags, also fuel possible rollover can cause car to explode.
While driving vehicle, loss of acceleration.when accelerator was applied, only rpms moved, the car would not respond.numerous times at stop lights, the car rpms would accelerate pass 3 and 4 without any application to the gas pedal. Took car into honda dealership and was told that nothing can be done unless it occurs on the premises.
Air condition compressor relay stuck at 75k miles.compressor not engaging at 83k miles.windshield gasket/trim began deteriorating about the same time.
While actuating the power door unlock button, the power window down switch, windshield wipers, and ignition switch, there is a popping sound through the audio system. Took to dealership in november of 2011. They could not isolate problem--however they could duplicate it. After consulting with the honda tech line, the dealership still had no answers. Was advised to call american honda customer service. Was contacted by a honda case manager and am still waiting on resolution. Vehicle is a 2011 civic si sedan and currently has 5,300 miles.
The contact owns a 2011 honda civic. While driving 45 mph, the low beam headlights failed to illuminate and smoke emerged from the steering column. The contact disconnected the battery terminal because it was melting. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was approximately 268,000.
I have multiple occurrence where my vehicle does not response when i hit the brakes. Its like the abs system is not working. It has happened several times. I notice it happen more often if i hit a bump in the road. The problem usually occurs at a slow about of speed. I have been able to avoid accidents by swerving out of the way of cars, but i believe sooner or later i will get into an accident.
Operating my vehicle on 2 lane street in ashburn virginia, applied brakes on car lightly and brakes seem to lock up, auto spun out of control and i landed into pond. I am filing complaint so that nhtsa willhave this on file. I have read many complaints of failure of braking systems honda civic 2005-2011 thank you
The contact owns a 2011 honda civic. While the vehicle was in a drive thru line, it accelerated on its own while stopped. The contact had to apply extreme pressure to the brake pedal and place the vehicle into park to completely stop. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired; however, a diagnostic appointment was scheduled. The manufacturer and dealer were not notified. The vin was unknown. The failure mileage was 75,600.
The contact owns a 2011 honda civic. The contact stated that whenever she powered the vehicle on, it would stall without warning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer however, the technician was unable to diagnose the failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 7 and the current mileage was 53,000.
Happens frequently that when parking vehicle in personal garage, vehicle will lurch forward aggressively on its own while brakes being applied. Have to lean hard into brakes to keep vehicle from hitting anything in garage. A/c compressor being active or inactive does not impact this behavior, engine temperature does not seem to play a role either.this is our fourth honda, none of the other three have had this sudden acceleration. This is an ongoing issue.
The contact owned a 2011 honda civic. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 10 mph, there was smoke coming from the passenger's side a/c vents. Additionally, there was a loud popping sound also coming from the passenger's side front a/c vent. The vehicle was pulled off the roadway and caught on fire. The fire department was notified and was able to extinguish the fire.the passenger in the front seat sustained a minor burn to her right leg. Medical attention was not sought.a fire report was filed. The vehicle was towed to iaa towing facility in fredericksburg, virginia. Neither the local honda dealer nor manufacturer were contacted. The vehicle was destroyed. The approximate failure mileage was 120,000.
We purchase this vehicle as a certified car in 2012.after driving for a week or so i notice that the car vibrate or shakes when it is on idle.it is even worse when ac is on.the problem i have is that sometime it happen sometime it doesn't.i have made a complaint to the dealership and they said everything is normal.i was even advice by the dealership service dept to use premium gas specifically " chevron gas station". But didn't solve anything. I couldn't really prove it is shaking because it is on and off.just stumble in to this website i want to share my frustration too.at 43000 miles it is the same shaking vibrating that is happening.i've replaced all tires at 32000 because it was illegal to drive on it since it was bald.replace the front brakes at 40k so i might be having some issue with that too. I own a 2006 honda pilot with 120k miles on it and that suv drives way smoother than my civic.for my pilot the brake lasted for 70k miles before replacing it.
My 2011 honda civic has a blown engine after having the car less than 4 years. Unfortunately past 60,000 mile warranty on the engine, my car with 63,000 miles has a completely blown engine. I am very disappointed this is no longer covered and there is nothing honda can do about. I am very disappointed that this honda is such a lemon and have no faith in buying a honda ever again. I am a single mother struggling to make ends meet and now i have no choice but to find the money to replace an engine on this car because i still have a five year loan to pay off on it. The last honda i had went over 229,000 miles on the engine. What has happened to honda quality?
2011 civic coupe motor mount/bump stop defective at 38684 miles. Causes vehicle to rattle and vibrate excessively at start, reversing, and w/ air conditioner on. While driving any bump in the road exacerbates the condition. Honda service knew the issue over the phone, multiple threads to the same over entire 8th gen civic are found with a basic google search. Right honda refused to cover and stated $513.00 for a repair honda should be covering.
Modest and careful driving results in much lower gas mileage than epa estimates.mpg equals that of three prior cars with engines of twice the size and twice the horsepower. Dealer shrugs, ignores.
I purchased new 2011 honda civic lx sedan vehicle.the vehicle's check engine light came on when i drove it off the lot.it was allegedly repaired by dealer.however, within 24 hours check engine light came on again.the vehicle has been at greenwich honda, mason street, greenwich ct three times already and it is still not repaired.it appears that vehicle has never been environmental compliant.the engine appears to run irregularly at times and i am afraid that it may accelerate out of control.
A/c blowing hot air. My mechanic advised that "road debris" punctured a hole in the condenser coil, which is the very first thing behind the front bumper. Nothing is visible that would protect the delicate coil from normal driving.since there is no retrofit available, nothing provides protection from the damage happening again, after a costly repair bill.honda needs to correct this design flaw and pay for repairs.
I took my car in to the dealer, under my original warranty period, because the a/c was blowing hot air.the dealer advised that "road debris" punctured a hole in the condenser coil, which is the very first thing behind the front bumper. Nothing is visible that would protect the delicate coil from normal driving. Insurance will not pay for the repair.i called several local dealers, all of which admitted this is a very common issue.i called honda, and was advised their position is not to offer financial assistance, as they do not feel this is an equipment or design flaw.since there is no retrofit available, nothing provides protection from the damage happening again, after a costly repair bill.i researched this issue online, and found a settled class-action lawsuit between honda and honda owners for this exact same issue. "specifically, the complaint alleged that the condenser was placed in a position that was vulnerable to contact from rocks, pebbles and other road debris during normal driving conditions on paved roadways, and that honda failed to design the vehicle either to withstand this impact or with a guard or grill that would protect the condenser despite the 'clear vulnerability' of the condenser to this debris contact."- alin v. Honda motor co. Ltd. Et al., case number [xxx]. The lawsuit settled in september 2011.this lawsuit did not include civics, but local dealers and vehicle blogs show that this is, and has been, a widespread problem from back before this lawsuit . Honda claimed i was the first person to call them with this issue. I am trying to work this out without participating in a current class-action lawsuit investigation for this issue, for my make and model. It is very distressing that honda was well aware of the design flaw and faulty/flimsy material causing this issue, and did exactly nothing to prevent future issues.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).
Main headlights failed for a time period (~15 minutes) at various times. Had the car for 2 years and problem occurred at least 4 times. The last time was last week when there was a terrible storm. First time when it was snowing really hard. The other two times the weather was just fine, no rain or snow.took the vehicle to the honda dealer twice, but both times the dealer said they can't do anything because they can't duplicate the problem.very disappointed with honda.
The contact owns a 2011 honda civic. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the headlights would not illuminate brightly. The dealer was notified and advised the contact that the lights were operating as designed and there was no way to make the light brighter. The manufacturer was notified and informed the contact that only manufacturer approved light bulbs were allowed in the vehicle and the vehicle was operating as designed, offering no further assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 40,000.
Brakes beginning to squeak again.brakes replaced two times since purchase of car- 2011 new honda civic.this will be the third attempt to correct brakes!dealership was unable to "duplicate" issue of acceleration while at the dealer so the car was not repaired.automatic door locks were locking on their own, dealer fixed.
I called honda customer care and they told me that the problem that i am experiencing is not covered any longer under the warranty. When i turned left, a clunking noise can be heard, at first i thought it was a drive axle. Brought to the dealer, charged me a diagnostic fee and they confirmed that it is not an axle problem. They told me that it is a bump stop problem, i have two older honda vehicles and i did not have this problem. Honda struts are mediocre and low in quality. The second problem that i have is evap mil (p2422). As per tsb, this needs to be fixed as well on this same car.
I bought a 2011 honda civic from a used car dealer. While the car is in motion or sitting at stop light with the heater on or a/c on you can smell raw gas smell. It comes and goes.most of the time you smell it. If you put climate control in reticulation there is no smell of raw fuel at all.dealer cannot find any leaks i can't either. Since they sold this to me and this is a health concern can i make them take car back?
Vehicle rollover crash. Fire seems to be from a recalled fuel valve. If my family burnt alive in that vehicle i would have a sick vendetta for those responsible for the non reporting of safety concerns to me as an insured driver. Including but not limited to all parties involved or responsible. This is a child safety concern. Children can be burned alive due to this hazard of engineering designed to cause total destruction for profiting purposes. The technologies at hand are too great for this type of absolute incompetence to occur. Honda should be barred from doing business in the us until such issues are addressed.
The contact owns a 2011 honda civic. The contact stated that when utilizing the electric key fob, the doors would engage as if locking but would not actually secure the vehicle. Upon checking the doors, the contact found that the doors were not locked. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 18,000. The current mileage was 30,000.

The trunk latch , once locked by a key, will not engage and open the trunk from the inside of the car. I brought my auto to the dealer twice. It occasionally will open, but more often than not, it will not engage. The service manager was present and able to see this problem. He was baffled. But they said i used too much force to unlock the trunk. This after having the car for over 6 months! this is my 2nd honda civic and i never had an issue before.

Transmission failure.
The contact owns a 2011 honda civic. The contact was driving 10 mph and attempting a turn when the vehicle stalled and slipped out of gear. The contact stated that the gear engaged back into the correct position independently. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer for a diagnostic test where the dealer advised that the transmission slipping was a common failure, but advised that the transmission was operating normally. The dealer stated that the slipping would occur because the transmission assumed that the vehicle was stopping. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 8,500.
Driving the car for one year now i have noticed that the brakes make a pop noise after going in reverse then forward, also a fews times the car brakes feel like its not really slowing the car down from freeway speeds and almost casued a few accidents by not providing enough braking power.the suspension is inadequet for the car it bottoms the rear of the car with <100 lbs inside.the car tends to jump forward when decelerating by coasting and applying the brakes right before the auto level is reached has almost caused a few accidents from the car jumping forward about 1-2 feet also feels like a whiplash effect when it does this. Also when going from 0 to 10 at an intersection to move quickly out of the intersection the car does not have power and moves at a slow pace compared to the rpms.dealer says the pop noise is a gap in the brake pads and the jump effect is possibly due to the ac disengaging but the ac was not disengaging at the time.
The contact owns a 2011 honda civic. The contact stated that while driving 55 mph the vehicle stalled and would not shift into the next gear. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic test. After test driving the vehicle the dealer could not identify the issue. The contact stated the vehicle continued to stall while in third gear. The failure mileage was 19,000.
Driver's seatbelt does not retract correctly when i take it off. Hangs extremely loose into door well and has to be slowly and manually retracted into upper retraction unit. I am not very comfortable or sure it is operating correctly in the case of an accident. Dealer (kuhn honda in tampa, fl) says there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. But if there was nothing wrong with it, why does it not retract and hang so loosely in the doorway? no other car i have ever driven, has had a seatbelt so very loose. I have spoken to american honda, and they do not want to admit there is anything wrong with the car, and to make things worse, the car is under warranty.
Takata recall: 1/26/19 had a mva where ford fusion pulled out in front of me.i tboned him around 20-30mph, my air bags did not deploy and seat belts locked all the way out.i hit steering wheel and wound up with sternal fracture which is now a nonunion fracture.i had taken car into honda dealer to have recall fixed which they said they did ( i have receipts) but they obviously didn't.honda recall 16-048
Front wheel passenger side seat belt is got locked and got stuck beside the seat due to design flaws with seat. It's now no more in use until the issue has been address. We have tried to contact local honda dealers but they are entertain our complaints. This issue is bothering us to travel together with family due to safety measure failure. We are helpless and didn't have any clue how to take it up this request with honda directly.
The head rest is too far forward, and very uncomfortable.it needs to be adjustable, not in a fixed position.
Dashboard indicator light came on for airbag system. Took to a shop and they read to codes to determine that it was a faulty pressure sensor in the passenger seat that is causing the problem.
I have a honda civic 2011, i don't drive the vehicle that much.i only have 24800 miles on the vehicle.i got it new.i also had several issues with this vehicle since it was new.now i'm told i need front brakes they are metal to metal.i'm sorry but i've had other cars, i've had toyota's all the time and it was a 2008 corolla.i didn't need brakes till it had about 60,000 miles on it.i don't drive crazy don't drivefast nor brake all the sudden so my brakes would be metal to metal this fast.i don't understand why other than they are defective or they are very cheap brakes.i don't feel like it's normal wear and tear like they say.i work with mechanics and they say it's not normal unless my foot is on the brake all the time when i'm driving and it's not like that.i don't have my foot on the brake like that.i also don't drive fast, i normally let the vehicle slow down on it's own first before even braking.so i would like some help with this.i'm having the dealer in gardena ca. Do the brakes i need my vehicle to transport myself.i will pay but i do need an investigation for it.i do want a refund on this.
Front brakes were worn out at 9000 miles, and then again at 15000, and again at 27000.tires were worn out at 27000 miles.
Squeaking noise coming from driver side front wheel. I have replaced front brake pads 3 times in one year! took car into dealership and they claim i must be riding on the brakes. The cost is $ 200.00. This is a brand new car... A 2011, how the neck can brake pads need to be replaced this many times??!! something is seriously wrong, i have owned vehicles and i never recall having to replace brake pads more than once or a maximum of two times during ownership. The first year of owning a new car... 4 times??!!! ridiculous!
Brakes wore completely down at 18k miles on a brand new lease when they should have lasted about 30k miles. Was told it was the way i was driving and it had caught me off guard because i only apply the brakes gently at appropriate times. I found their excuse to be a little fishy and within a short amount of time of online research i had realized that this scam by honda has taken effect on many others some at even 10k miles! this matter should be taken care of in a timely manner as this is a bit ridiculous.
I bought this car with 10,000 miles. On a few occasions (months apart) while applying my brakes, the pedal collapses to the floorboard and i feel grinding coming from the pedal. This usually occurs at a low speed and on a decline/slope.. For example, leaving a convenience store parking lot. Up to this point, the car has always responded to the brakes, but it is as if i'm bleeding the brakes.. Brake pressure is good and in an instant, it is gone.
Cr inspected in dec 27 2013 . Inspection verifies brakes are in good shape passes inspection.two weeks later brakes began making noises. Took to honda dealer again and was told brakes required replacement with rotors resurfaced dealer indicates virtually no breaks.unsure how condition of brakes were missed during inspection. I feel brakes pads wore prematurely.
Front brake pads completely bare. I am an older woman driver who does not endure much stop and go traffic.never owned a car where brake pads failed/worn in just 1 1/2 years of driving.all other cars owned by family have brake pads last 80k miles.replacing pads today, but was told by honda rep that it is my fault due to my driving habits.had i known what i now know. Or seen the online customer/owner's comments regarding their customer service and brake issues that date back almost a decade, i would not have bought this car.
Have had numerous encounters where i almost have car accidents because brakes will not grab. I have seen numerous posts about this issue. I stopped going to the dealer for service because every time i took it to get checked out they said it was functioning in perfect condition. I have changed my brakes and rotors at least 4 different times even after i bought ceramic brakes and heavy duty rotors, and tires on two separate occasions. Upon complaining to honda's corporate office i was given a $200.00 gift card that pretty much went right back for repairs.just from 3 years of ownership have spent over $3,000.00 in repairs and maintenance fees. These cars might contain a factory defect that should be fixed before someone loses their life. If it wasn't for the 22 years experience of driving in the los angeles, california area i probably wouldhave had more than one accident already.
I purchase me the car in january 2014 and replaced the brakes in september 2014. Now i have to replace them again because the pads keep wearing down. My rotors were also affected. There is a constant rubbing sound while driving and turning.
I leased this civic on february 2011 and in december 2011 10 months later the breaks and rotors were gone and only one side.odd after having had them serviced in september and the dealer giving me 100% life on them. Had to pay to fix brakes and rotors. Ten months later september 2012 again brakes out has to change again. Now again september 2013 brakes and rotors. Without any signals that my brakes were wearing out. Now more costs to fix this in a 2011 honda civic . Ridiculous considering this will be the 3rd time to change breaks within a 2.5 years of having the vehicle. I use my car to travel to work everyday and run errands and once in a while drive a max of 100 miles at one time to la. I have had my tundra for three years never have had to change brakes. Now i hear the rotors and its crazy to think my brakes are gone without any prior warning.
The front brakes on my honda civic had to be replaced the first time at 17,000 miles. It had failed right at the end of the honda 1 year warranty (the first date is estimated but i can dig it out from the honda dealer if this becomes an issue)i have only the estimated first date. I thought this was a fluke and honda covered it under warranty so i didn't think much about it. However, my next set of brakes failed at 15,000 miles. The actual date was 7/8/2013 on this failure. Again they have warantied the brakes.i am on my 3rd set of brakes and the car has not even hit 40-50,000 miles. That is if my brakes were being ridden hard. At some point i am concerned that honda will not fix the problem that appears to be well known. They have a problem with their braking system on the honda civics. It appears they are not recalling this and are leaving people twisting in the wind. I don't know of a more critical component to a vehicles safety than the braking system. It can harm both driver, pedestrian or other motorists and cause a financial calamity to both driver and other parties. Please make honda figure out this problem and provide a solution so that we can drive a safe car. There is a lawsuit for this known problem with honda, i prefer not to get involved into this but rather have them fix this problem. Other than that it has been a good vehicle. I am not looking for a financial reward i just want my car fixed and properly engineered so that the brakes won't fail prematurely. It can be costly if i have to replace my brakes once a year.
I was stopped in a parking garage and intended to pull into an open space on my left. I turned the steering wheel all the way to the left and my car suddenly accelerated on its own. It crashed into the car to the right of the open space and continued to accelerate, pushing the other car into the car to its right. I was pressing the brakes during the entire incident but they were not functional. My car finally pushed the other car out of the way and my car slammed into the concrete block in front of the open space and stopped. Had the concrete block not been there, i would have flown over the side of the third level of this parking garage. My foot was in no way on the accelerator. It was on the brake the entire time. Also, a non-honda mechanic experienced the same revving issue when he inspected the car after the incident. However, honda claims there is no problem with the car and will not refund us the cost of damages we paid out of pocket. But they did buy the car back and buy out the remaining 6 months of my lease, indicating they knew there was a problem with the vehicle, but were not willing to own up to it.
Need new front brakes and only 20,000 miles; was told it's my in-city driving, but it looks like there's a lot of other folks out there with the same problem. Saw that there was a class action suit for same problem for 2008, 2009 and 2010 models...

The contact owns a 2011 honda civic. The contact stated that while driving 61 mph, the driver applied the brakes but the brakes failed to respond. As a result, the contact crashed into another vehicle. The contact's vehicle was destroyed. There were no injuries. The vehicle was not inspected for the cause of the failure.the failure and current mileage was 13,968.
The contact owns a 2011 honda civic. The contact stated while driving 35 mph, when attempting to depress on the brake pedal but the vehicle failed to stop and crashed into multiple vehicles. The air bags did not deploy. The contact sustained a fractured spine and chest. The contact did seek medical attention for her injuries. A police report was filed. The vehicle was not drivable and was towed to a different location. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer had not been informed of failure. The failure mileage was approximately 98,000.
"takata recall" i've had to change the brakes often on this car. I don't drive the car long distances, but the brakes wear out so easily. I've had it for 4 years and have mileage of 30,000. I'm already taking it to mechanic to change the brakes again! it's not normal! i've taken it to the dealership where i bought it but have offered no solution! they just tell me to keep purchasing new brakes.
On 03-16-2013 i was driving on i-5 freeway north through orange county ca. When i tried to slow down, my car`sbrakes were not working at all. Brake pedal went all the way to the floor without any resistance and the car didn't slow down. I was able to stop the car by hitting the curb. There were no dashboard warning lights lit at any time indicating total brake failure. I had car towed to nearest honda dealership. They told me i must have driven over a piece of rubber debris. This piece of rubber damaged right wheel emergency brake cable, causing right rear wheel to drag and boil the brake fluid, thus causing total brake failure without any warning at all.i found out both rear brakes were damaged, even though only theright emergency brake cable was damaged.i had to pay$1300 for repairs even though the car was under full factory warranty. I contactedamerican honda motor co and asked for an explanation how is the brake system on 2011 honda civic designed if a total brake failure can be caused by a piece of rubber debris. I also wanted to know, how a total brake failure can happen without any warning. My other question was what america honda motor co. Will do to prevent this from happening again on mine and other 2011 civic models.honda representative refused to answer any of my questions.she stated that since there was not any accident, everything is fine with them. This was an extremely dangerous situation that could have ended tragically and would appreciate you to investigate and follow up on it.
Have had to replace the brake pads every 6 months dince we purchased in july 2012. The car had very liw miles when purchased and now has 90,000.miles.the mechanic says it is not normal to need replacement so often. Brakes buckle when coming to a sudden stop.
My 2011 honda civic lx-s has only 13,000 miles on it and my brake pads have already worn down to nothing and had to be replaced yesterday. The repair guy told me there is absolutely no way that at such low miles that this should have happened. There must have been a problem with the original breaks on my car and $378 later, i already had to replace them. If every 10,000 miles they have to get replaced that is just unacceptable.
This car has a major brake issue.both front pads have worn by 75% at only 6,000 miles, and had to be replaced at 9,800 miles.worn out again at 16,000 miles.told to drive car until the brakes "failed" and them to come back for new ones.honda claims this is normal!!!!!brakes should last 40 or 50k before needing to be replaced.someone has to force them to fix this issue.
2011 honda civic with 4000 miles. Took it to dealership for an oil change and complained about a burned smell when braking while driving uphill after the car stops. No heavy braking though. Dealership inspected the brakes and said everything was fine. At 7300 miles and a total of 7 months of use the car started to make a grinding noise when braking or not. Took to dealer and they said my brake pads had zero % left, metal to metal. They blamed the way the car was being driven and treated me like i was some jerk that was drag racing every day and toasted the brakes. I previously had a 2007 toyota camry that i drove the same way (as a normal person by the way, city and freeway) and did not have to replace brakes until over 33000 miles! this is ridiculous, even a very bad driver that keeps hitting his brakes should not have this problem with 7300 miles in a compact car. Honda declined any servicing and declined to fix or even look deeper for a possible problem. Wanted to charge me over $100 for a 5 minute brake pad inspection... A joke!
The contact owns a 2011 honda civic.the contact stated that the brakes would exhibit an abnormal squeaking and grinding. The brakes were recently replaced prior to the recent failure.the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure.the dealer was notified but denied any assistance with repairs to the vehicle.the vehicle was not repaired.the failure mileage was 9,826 and the current mileage was 19,000.
My daughter drove on freeway 60 and needed to change lane to freeway 57. While she changed lanes, she found the traffic on freeway 57 started to slow down. So, she started to brake, but for some odd reason the brake did not work properly. The car did not slow down well enough, so she started to brake harder, and suddenly she heard a very loud bumping noise. She thought some parts of car hit the ground. So she decided to pull the emergency brake, but by the time i pulled it up, she was not able to make a stop immediately and hit the car in front of her. The contact owns a 2011 honda civic. While driving approximately 40 mph, the contact heard a grinding noise as the brakes were applied. In addition, the brakes were hesitant to respond. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostics where the technicians were unable to diagnose a failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 28,000.
My vehicle have trouble with alignment every time i was driving my car not staying in the lane alway turn to left or right even my hands was holding on the wheel also the wheel very light, i was light turning to the lift or right my vehicle almost get of from the road. And also the wheels thru to the asphalts the wheels was very noise it look like the wheels gonna run out,
The contact owns a 2011 honda civic.

I love my honda civic and this is the 2nd one i've had, however i have one safety issue with the 2011, visibility and blind spots while driving. Sitting in the drivers seat, the part between the front windshield and the passenger side window has nearly caused me several accidents.i pull up to stop sign, and road looks clear, but when i start to pull out, i just miss a car or truck that was caught in that one blind spot. Honda should look into this and fix the design of this area.
The contact owns a 2011 honda civic. The contact stated that when driving approximately 60 mph or above with the rear windows open, there was a vibration in the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle was not inspected by a dealer nor repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. Paint recall, black paint is fading on roof and bumper
The paint.. The hood has marks that have always been there. It was not until recently that someone told me that should not be there. And then within the last 8 monthsthe oxidation is all over the roof and the trunk which is making unable for me to trade it in
Paint caulking or peeling off , cracking ,cloudy appearance the passenger side door(the black paint)and the rear passenger side door.
Air condition compressor relay stuck at 75k miles.compressor not engaging at 83k miles.windshield gasket/trim began deteriorating about the same time.
Clear coat is separating from car. Revealing a faded look.
The trunk lid hasn't been right all along.i can't tell you how many times it has come down and hit me on the head.now, the bar that keeps the lid open has snapped and the trunk will not stay open by itself.it closes with such force, it could really injure a person,.it was parked in the garage when it happened.
I bought a 2011 honda civic coupe. I bought it new and have been the only owner. 2 years ago the paint began peeling on the trunk. The peeling has now extended from trunk to the roof. The paint on the roof is almost entirely peeling. The trunk has huge spots where it is peeling. The hood has white lines on it also from paint failure.this car now looks ridiculous and is embarrassing to drive.honda issued a recall but never actually alerted people that may have this problem. They are absolutely liable for this paint failure for using cheap products.
Struts worn out before the end of power train warranty expires( 5years or 60000 miles. The hondadealer identified the problem of worn out struts
The contact owns a 2011 honda civic. The contact stated while driving 30 mph over a bump the vehicle started shaking and making a strange sound from the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for a diagnostic test. The mechanic stated the rear passenger side wheel bearings were defective and referred him to the dealer. The dealer replaced the front wheel bearing. The contact stated the rear wheel bearing was not defective but the tires were causing the vehicle to shake. The contact did not call the manufacturer. The failure mileage was 19,000.
The new car has had the entire right and left side struts, bearings replaced three times as well as the suspension and will now need it done for the fourth time and the honda dealership has no idea how to fix other than replacing the whole thing which continues to get damaged. Help!

Front brakes were worn out at 9000 miles, and then again at 15000, and again at 27000.tires were worn out at 27000 miles.
Consistent premature and uneven tire ware is the major problem on this car.the rear tires started vibrating.i took them care to a tire place and was informed that the tires went back due to non-rotation of the tires.the tires were rotated at 6,000 miles, but were still damaged.the original tires had a 24,000 ware life.subsequent to replacing the original tires, i have put 90,000 mile michelin tires on the care.with consistent rotation, the tires ware out with the washboard effect between 25,000 and 30,000 miles.at 100,000 miles, i have replace the tire 3 times with 90,000 mile tires.
The original driver's side sun visor was replaced in 2014 due to breaking apart on the pivoting side and now the 2nd driver's side visor is broken.this car is only 6 years old and two driver's side sun visors have broken due to the same design flaw.now the car needs yet a 3rd driver's side visor.this is highly unusual and impedes the driver's view due to not remaining in the normal, stowed position.additionally, when needed to block the sun on a bright day it does not maintain the intended deployed position, but only hangs vertically which impedes the driver's view of the road, not to mention distracting the driver's concentration while driving.i consider this a safety issue that may cause a driver to veer into oncoming traffic or onto the shoulder of the roadway.this same issue has been noted on earlier honda civic vehicles that did require a recall.
The driver side sun visor has the same problem as my 2007 civic where it separates at the seem and the visor will not stay in place.it has dropped twice and caused an obstruction where i had to hold the visor up and out of the way and drive through an busy intersection with one hand.this is a safety hazard and recalled for my 2007 civic model but not extended to the 2011 civic model, but it is the exact same problem.is this defective part still being put into current models or has this been redesigned?if not, why wasn't this issued extended to the 2011 model year?

Drivers side sun visor hanging down it won't stay up
On several occasions, while my daughter was driving at normal speed of traffic on the highway, as well as on streets, the car simply shuts off.this occurs regardless of the level of fuel, even when it is full.the car has been serviced and maintained per recommendations by honda.it is not a battery issue.after a few minutes, the car is able to start again.it is very scary when it happens.
Interior window visor assembly parts seperation, causing malfunction, hazardous opteration and visibility when in motion.
The driver's side visor has split and just hangs down in the line of vision....i purchased a new genuine honda visor and the same thing is happening to it. Now the passenger side visor is also beginning to split. Honda will not stand behind their defective visors. It is not overused or abused in any way. My vehicle is always well maintanined.
Takata recall - my recall lookup says remedy is not yet available, but the initial estimates say i should expect a recall in late summer/fall of 2016. If a remedy is not available in a timely manner, the lookup says to file a complaint.
Have not been notified that air bags have been recalled. No phone call or email or stop by.
Is it common to brake axle? or is there any chances to brake while replacing whole breaks(front wheels)?i did my inspection and emissions last week @ j l freed. They were some recommendation about brake replacement. I asked them to go for it and they replaced brakes and passed inspection and emissions. Very next day, while i pull back my car from drive way and suddenly stopped working. Engine was running but it was moving forward or reverse.at the end, i dropped of my car(by towed) back to j l freed, they said, some reason axle is broken. I stated that, it may be happened while your tech were changing front brakes.they were not ready to listen and denied that we didn't brake it. I paid them to replace my car axle but i wasn't happy about it because they were not ready to take responsibilities.please advise.

Driver side sun visor broke off. Happened during the summer. Only used a few times and got worse by every use. This should never happen on a newer car!!! this needs to be a recall as it is a huge safety hazard. Blarring sun in my eyes while driving on a major interstate to and from work everyday. I have nothing to block out the blazing sun rays, except sun glasses, which is not suffucient. Has not been replaced, as that would require missing an entire day of work and having to pay for the replacement. Manufacturing defect!!! safety hazard!!
Sun visor on driver side and passenger side does not stay up . This is safety hazard as it blocks the view of passenger who is also watching the road when on highway driving. Requesting honda to issue a recall for fixing this safety hazard.
Does the faulty sun visor settlement in 2011 ring a bell?my 2011 civic has the same problem, so apparently honda wasn't working on correcting the issue during the settlement time frame. I replaced it once in late 2014 and now it needs replaced again in 2017. How does this not obstruct nighttime driving?how do you build a good engine yet fail year after year on a lousy sun visor?need a photo? reference the billion other photos sent during the 2011 settlement!
While driving i reached up to pull the driver side visor down to block the sun glare. As the visor came down it made a crackingsound. After stopping and placing visor backup an in place. I learned it had broke on the first use. Now the visor will not stay in place and sometimes swings and restrains my view as a driver. This is a odd occurence, or a detected product.
The sun visors are broken and defective.this is long after i found out that many people have filed complaints too on this and recalls.
Tpms sensor light. 3rd time to dealer for repair. Replaced 3 of the 4 sensors in the 1st 27,000 miles on the car.
The sunvisors are broken. They will not not remain in a stable, out of sight position. As they remain in the down position they block sight paths for oncoming traffic and pedestrians. Honda earlier recalled vehicles for a similar issue. To date it has not been addressed.

The air conditioning compressor has been changed once before.it is again giving problems and is only producing mildly cold air.my mechanic has informed me that i need to change the compressor again.that would be #3!
A certified used car from dealer owned since 10-24-2013i experience power surges when stopped at stop sign or stop light. It only happens once in a while where rpm's race to 3,500 rpm for a few seconds and leaves no error code so it's hard for them to trouble shoot. I had car at shop 4 different times. On 1-27-14 i drop off car for rpm problem while stopped in traffic and some other incidents. Service department looks over car and finds nothing wrong.on 3-20-14 i drop off car, for same problem as noted above. Service dept. Looks and finds 2 pcm updates from honda service bulletin and reprogrammed pgm-fiid: naa740 and a/t naa670failed p/n: 37820-rna-a75on 5-21-14 i drop off car for same problem as above and felt like car engine speed was on even on highway one morning. Service dept. Preformed pcm/ecv reset and ckp re-learnon 7-21-14 i drop off car for same problem. This time car raced to 3,500 rpm for 7 seconds while foot is on brake. Dangerous (saftey)? sererice dept. Cleared pcm of tp sensor readings. Performed relearn for tp sensor. Completed the pcm re-learn. Completed idle re-learn.i don't know how long this can or will last??? before next power surge or is it fixed? if things stay consistant then it would be around september and my warranty is getting close to expiring.

The contact owns a 2011 honda civic. The contact stated that after starting the vehicle, it suddenly accelerated without any warning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who was unable to diagnose the failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 28,000 and the current mileage was 32,000.
The contact owns a 2011 honda civic. The contact stated that while driving approximately 10 mph and depressing the brakes, the engine rpms increased as the vehicle accelerated independently. The contact shifted into neutral and shut the engine off in order to stop the vehicle. The contact noticed smoke emitting from the engine compartment. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnosis however, the technicianwas unable to diagnose the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that an engineer would inspect the vehicle. The engineer was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 14,785.
As i was following a row of cars into a driveway of a shopping area, i took my foot off the brake just to roll a few inches since traffic was bumper to bumper.unexpectedly my car lunged forward on to the driveway hitting the truck to my right and a car to my left that was exiting the driveway.before i could make sense of what happened, i put the car in park and pulled the emergency brake.i had the car inspected by the honda dealer before it went to the repair shop.honda ran a diagnostic test on the car and could not find anything that could have caused my car to accelerate in such a manner. Total cost of repairs $7800.
The contact owns a 2011 honda civic. The contact stated that the passenger side sun visor independently detached when placed in the down position. The failure recurred three times. The vehicle was taken to an unknown local dealer, but was not diagnosed or repaired. Six months later, the driver's side sun visor detached when placed in the down position. The contact stated that the driver side sun visor was replaced once and the passenger side sun visor was replaced twice at his expense; however, the replacements did not correct the failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 25,000.
The contact owns a 2011 honda civic. The contact stated that while attempting to use the rear view mirror, he discovered a blind spot impairing his view of up to twenty five feet. The dealer and manufacturer advised that the vehicle could not be repaired because it was designed in that manner.the current mileage was 3,000 and the failure mileage was 300.
This 2011 civic ex i own has already gone through 3 drivers side sun visors.the visor splits, and causes a distrction to the driver by flopping down, and potentially causing a distraction to led to an accident.in researching this, honda was sued for 2006 - 2009 models for this very problem - and lost (yet not taking responsibility).i spoke to american honda, they said that they do not know about the 2011 model being a problem.that is not true.i spoke to the dealer, san tan honda.the dealer says it is hot so they split.maybe they should only sell these cars in alaska, and not arizona.there are no grey drivers side sun visors for the 2011 honda civic available in the united states.they are on back order, and they do not know when they are coming in.that should be an indicatior of a quality problem.honda is not taking responsibility, and has not issued any notice and has does not have the parts, nor done the redesign for this defective part.please help to hold honda accountable to stock parts, and extend the warranty of this defective part.they cannot seem to learn the lesson of their lawsuit on previous models.they should be forced to redesign the part, and be fined for failing to address the known situation.
Drivers side visor has broken, split apart. This is the second one that will require replacing.
Interior window visor assembly parts seperation, causing malfunction, hazardous opteration and visibility when in motion.
Driver and passenger side visors are mechanically defective. Flipping them from up to down uses an internal component which snaps, keeping the visor in place to stay out up out of visibility or down to block the sun.after 15k miles or so, snap component pushes out through the visor assembly, preventing ability to use during driving -- and ultimately off the bracket holding the visor to the ceiling.car has 46k miles on it -- both visors have now been replaced 3 times
My sun visors have split open at the seam and do not stay up.they obstruct my vision, especially driving at night.both driver side and passenger side visors broke within one day of each other at 37,700 miles.honda refuses to extend warranty and says that i must have damaged them by not using them correctly!car is only one year old and was purchased brand new.
The sun visor falls and is split and does not stay in place. This reduces my ability to block the sun when i am driving.
Driver side sun visor is defective and will not stay up. Need to get a replacement because honda refused to cover under warranty.
The sunvisor in the driver's side is broken. At first, one side split open and wasn't keeping the visor in place letting it fall in front of the driver's face. After few days, it completely felt off. I bought this car brand new and only have about 24,000 miles, i don't drive it very much and i think it is bad quality in their sunvisor. I called the honda dealer and they want to charge me $110, they said that there is not in recall because is the 2011 model.
Both sun visors cracked and no longer remain in the stowed position.then can fall down into the driver's field of view.
Driver's side sun visor split horizontally, making it unable to stay in up position.it will fall down on its own-partially obstructing view.
The sun visor for the car has been replaced every year since purchasing the vehicle, as it melts off in the summer heat. The visor will hang and block visibility for the driver causing hazardous conditions. After 7 replacements, the visor has since been removed. I am unable to drive during sunrise or sunset. I will likely have to get rid of this vehicle for this reason, as i cannot safely drive it for a large portion of the day.
Drivers side sun visor hanging down it won't stay up
The driver's side visor has split and just hangs down in the line of vision....i purchased a new genuine honda visor and the same thing is happening to it. Now the passenger side visor is also beginning to split. Honda will not stand behind their defective visors. It is not overused or abused in any way. My vehicle is always well maintanined.
Windshield wipers dont always work. I will push on the handle and the wipers will not move. This is also a huge safety hazard, if its raning hard and i cant see while driving. Sometimes there is a huge delay from pushing handle and wiper blades actually moving. Sometimes, the wipers will not move at all. Very dissatified with this honda. Will never buy another honda again.
The contact owns a 2011 honda civic. While driving 20 mph over a pothole, the air bags deployed and the windshield fractured. There were no injuries. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic for diagnostic testing or repairs. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 194,000.
The contact owns a 2011 honda civic.the contact stated that while driving in inclement weather the windshield prevented the snow to be removed from the side of the window with ease. The contact called the manufacturer regarding the windshield and they suggested adding a trim to the side of the windshield. Snow accumulation effected the contacts vision while driving in inclement weather.the failure mileage was 420.
The contact owns a 2011 honda civic. The contact stated that while driving at speeds between 50 to 60 mph during rainy conditions, the windshield wipers failed to function properly, reducing visibility. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where they were unable to diagnose the failure, but the fuse for the wipers was replaced. The failure continued. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 17,350 and the current mileage was 17,377.
Front brakes were worn out at 9000 miles, and then again at 15000, and again at 27000.tires were worn out at 27000 miles.
Tpms sensors need to be reset by dealer at $100 in order to put snow tires on the car. Because of this thousands of americans includi? myself forego snow tires for all seasons. Any time a new set of wheels with different sensors are put in t he car you must go to dealership to have system reset.

Wheel bearing or its components worn out before the expiry of power train warranty 5 years or 60000 miles. This is posing hazard risk. Need coverage to repair at the dealer.
