While driving on i26 east outside of spartanburg sc at 75 miles an hour, i hit a deer on the drivers side, the passenger side air bag deployed, the drivers airbag did not.the spartanburg hwy patrol wrote a incident report on 12/10/2016 around 8pm. I have pictures of incident at the scene.

The contact owns a 2017 honda accord. While the contact was proceeding through an intersection, another vehicle failed to yield the right of way and crashed into the driver's side of the contact's vehicle. The steering wheel air bag deployed and smoke entered the contact's vehicle. The contact lost consciousness and awoke to find that the seat belt did not properly restrain her, which resulted in injuries to the neck, head, and shoulders. Medical attention was received. The vehicle was towed. A police report was filed. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 12,000.

Then manual states the air bag will go off at under 65 lbs.my 85 lb. Grandson, weighed january 9, 2018, makes the air bag go off when he sits in the front passenger seat.the car is not running but stationery.the light off stays lite the whole time he is in the seat.i have gone on the internet and see that others have had the same experience.my dealer just tells me that the grandson should sit in the back seat.can this be fixed to activate the air bag for the over 65 lb. Limit?

Light on dash board showing srs.

The contact owns a 2017 honda accord. While driving 45 mph, the brake pedal was applied; however, due to a delay in the contact's reaction time, she crashed into the preceding vehicle. The air bag indicator illuminated and the air bags did not deploy. The contact sustained chest bruises, which did not require medical attention. A police report was not filed. The vehicle was towed to a body shop. The contact called galpin honda at (818) 837-6100 (located at 11151 laurel canyon blvd, san fernando, ca 91340), but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 33,000.

When a passenger is on the car the airbag light will turn on on red like showing that the bag is off os is not working.

The contact owns a 2017 honda accord. The contact stated while driving 40 mph, the contact became aware of a spare tire in the middle of the roadway. While attempting to avoid driving over the tire, the contact swerved and was struck by the vehicle on the driverā€™s side of the vehicle. The driverā€™s side seat air bag failed to deploy properly. The contact stated that there were holes in the air bag. The contact was able to pull the vehicle over to the side of the road and call 911. The contact was later told that no emergency service was available. The contact was informed to drive to the residence. There was no medical treatment at the scene however, the contact did see a doctor for pain in their upper left arm and left hip, and side. A police report was filed. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 70,000.

Takata recall, is my current car under recall for the bag inflator?

The vehicle was in motion and slid off the road, the airbags did not deploy and a code for the seatbelt was detected.

My airbags didn't deploy at the time of frontal accident at approximately 30-40 mph.accidenthappened on county street (glen mill rd montgomery county maryland)january 25th at 6:30 am. With the road being very dark, i didn't see a full size treeacross the roadway from a severe storm the night before. I anticipated the airbag deploying on impact, however it seem like a minute or two before they deployed but never inflated ( niether the front or passanger side curtin) photos are on myphone and will send when i can download on this site.

Takata recallmy passenger airbag console warning light keeps coming on. It stays on sometimes and goes off sometimes. I have taken it back to my dealer several times with no resolution. They tell me the light wasn't on when they checked it out and to bring it back. I told them to check it out at my last oil change, they said to bring it back when they have more time to check it out. I made an appointment to take it back when it came back on, but it went back off again! so basically they can't diagnose the problem when the light isn't on! but when i'm on the way to dealer it is on. This leads me to believe there is a safety problem with the passenger side airbag. This has been goin on for about 2-3 months now. I leased the vehicle march 2017

I was driving southbound on md 301 highway in the far right lane (4th lane) going 45mph. The other vehicle was headed northbound on md 301 and made a left turn onto the sb lanes crossing all lanes. The collision occurred when the driver attempted to cross the 4th sb lane (my lane). I hit the car without breaking as i was traveling 45mph. This was a head on collision with extensive front end damage.my airbags did not deploy. There other vehicle had airbag deployment.

Takata recalli recently had a car accident on 11/29/17 where the air bags deployed and i cut my face and had 6 stitches and my mother broke her arm and has a cast and might need surgery. I just leased the car 2 months ago.

I bought 2017 honda accord and within a day there were 2 air bag signs came up. Called dealership and they said whenever you come this side bring the car. They checked the car that weekend and found a faulty srs module. They replaced it, but how a new car have a faulty srs module? how quality control dept. Stamped it without checking it? what if something would have happened to me?

Supplemental restraint system warning light is on.suspect defective seat sensor.original owner, 30,000 miles on odometer.

The rear backup camera does not work when the vehicle is put into reverse.the screen goes black and only shows the grid lines of the backup camera viewing area.there are no other issues with the navigation system, radio display, or other car features and controls displayed on the navigation screen. I took the car into my local honda dealer, and they tested the unit andfound no electrical shorts or open circuits. Their recommended fix was to replace the entire navigation system.i researched this issue on the nhtsa web site, and there are two recallsissued for this safety issue of the backup camera screen going black and not workingwhen put into reverse. A nhtsa recall was issued for 2018 honda accords and 2019 insights indicating that faulty software may cause the backup camera to fail.a nhtsa recall was issued for 608,000 honda suv's for years 2018 through 2021 that covered piolts, passports, and odysseys indicating that faulty software may cause the backup camera to fail.there are multiple complaints listed on the nhtsa website for 2017 honda accords for this backup camera issue but no formal recall has been issued by nhtsa.

The rear view backup camera blacked out and stopped working with only 40,000 miles

Rear safety camera defect. Screen is black with no cause. Passenger side camera still works fine indicating it is not a fuse or wireissue.

Rear camera display went black except for the yellow lines. When shifting into reverse, there was a recall on 2018 but never received notification. This car was bought new.

Part number39530-t2a-a31 repair cost $550honda designed a deficient plastic clip to hold the rear camera in place on the car trunk.after normal use opening and closing the trunk the clip breaks and the entire unit must be replaced.after 23,000 driven miles (44 months) the clip broke and i spent $550 to repair it.a google search makes it clear this is a widespread problem.i would like to request the government require honda to re-engineer the rear camera mount and offer a 10 year extended warranty.

Loud clicking noise possibly in locking system. It doesn't happen every time i drive the car. When it does start the noise, it is continuous for several miles. It sometimes happens when i park and lock the doors from outside and the locks continue to click until i come back to the car and re lock the doors. It will also make the noise when i shut the door and i have not started the car yet. Sometimes i will be driving down the street and all of a sudden it just starts the clicking noise. Also the alarm has gone off by itself while parked and i didn't even set the alarm. These things have happened many times since i purchased the car on dec 21, 2017.

In the first several weeks of ownership, i notice a slight vibration inside the car--floorboard, steering wheel, dash board--when the blower motor was turned on with the engine running. It was faint at first, but the vibration has gotten progressively worse. The vibration seems more exaggerated when the blower and a/c are on together, but the vibration is still present with only the blower motor on with the engine running. I don't recall any sound with the vibration.the first time i noticed the vibration was waiting at a stop light. I turned the blower motor on for heat or outside air when i noticed a faint vibration as i sat idling, at a stop light.now, when the blower motor is used with ventilation, a/c, heat, etc., the interior of the car emits a distinct vibration until the blower motor is turned off.with the engine off,i have turned the blower motor on and there is no noticeable vibration, so the blower motor vibration appears to be linked to the running engine.

If the car sits idle for more than 4 days, the battery dies. The car has 60,000 miles and we are replaced the battery once and it continues to die if it sits for more than 4 days.the car pulls to the right side regardless of how many times i have it balanced. The led day running light on the driver side front died when the car only had 50,000 miles on it.

This morning on my way to work i stopped for gas, turned off my car, went to restart when my dash started going crazy and flicking on and off. It wouldn't start again so my husband had to leave work and come jump me, we drove it home, it sat for 3 mins then tried to start it again when the same thing happened. We decided to let the car stay plugged into a trickle battery charger all day while i went to work. After we got home, we decided to test it, and it started right up. We were able to turn it on and off several times without hesitation all until we let 5 mins pass in between starts when the flickering of the dark began again and the car refused to start. My car has less than 50k miles on it, this issue needs to be addressed when so many users are having the same problem. When we got home we checked the battery and it was reading 12voltz. We have found multiple complaints about the same issue from several other owners and would like to know what is being done to resolve the issue. Sources: carcomplaints.com, hondaproblems.com, https://www.nhtsa.gov

Used accessory system for 15 minutes to vacuum car while listening to radio. Entire system went dead. Could not move shift lever, close windows, or move the car. Same happened a year ago. Honda says accessory systems uses so much energy it drains the system. Long term problem for this car. Needs to be fixed. It was stationary in an awkward locationso it was impossible to leave it where it was. Had to get neighbors help who luckily had had the same problem with her honda. Meanwhile honda said this am that they would not honor the 100 month warranty on their replacement battery put in a year ago as its "covered under the 36 month warranty" which ran out last august.

Backup system not working

My car was parked, and i switched to the r gear to back out, but my rear camera would not work. My screen was all black but my yellow parking guidelines were still visible. I tried to change the camera view to see if that would help. My screen showed some static. I switched back to my original camera view and the static stopped, but my screen is still black on rear camera mode. I've been searching on the internet and it seems many have been having the same safety issue. Rear cameras on other models of the honda accord have had recalls. Given so many similar complaints, it would only be appropriate for the 2017 accord to be included in the recalls.

The contact owns a 2017 honda accord. While the vehicle was parked and the key was in the contact's pocket, all the windows and sun roof opened inadvertently. The contact noticed the issue when she walked outside to the vehicle. The contact also stated that there was no mention of the automatic opening of the windows and sun roof in the owner's manual. There were no warning indicators illuminated in the vehicle. The dealer did not know how to disconnect the feature. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer stated that this feature could not be disabled. The vin was invalid. The failure mileage was 2,000.

I have started to have this strange engine start issue recently (with short circuit sounds). Dealership service done in july found nothing wrong with the car or my ignition switch. Definitely looks like a critical issue ' it is now leaving me stranded on the roads. I don't see any recall for this issue either. I'm glad i noticed during summer as otherwise could be life threatening issue. I have describe the events in details in the attached pdf.

Rear camera display went black except the guidance lines are displayed when shifting into reverse.dealership indicates a new display and camera are needed.disappointed in the quality issue here.outside of warranty now.there was a recall on 2018 honda accord rear camera.

Last night i had just gotten home from worked and gone in the house to change for church. Less than 5 minutes later, i returned to my car and when trying to start it, it would start up. Lights flickered on dash, but it wouldn't turn over. Had roadside assistance come to jump start car. Less than 24 hours later, the same thing happened. Car won't start after driving this morning and this afternoon already.this is the third time this his happenedthis year, with in a few months. Car has less that 50k miles. This needs to be looked into because if i'm in the middle of nowhere, this could be very dangerous.

Rear view camera glitches then went black. Very short intermittent on, but then glitches and screen goes black again. Now the screen stays black when shifting into reverse or try different angles. Clean lens and no obstructions.

Car suddenly wont start.break petal is stuck, dash lights click and wont start. Acts like its the battery but doesn't allow jump. Car has less that 46,000 miles and is 2 yrs old. Current recall out for fuel issues, but the dealer is sure thats not the cause. Contact at the dealer was not helpful at all and kinda rude. Rushed me off the phone when i was asking questions. Very upset

After owning the car for 2.5 years, the car would not start and required a jump. After several instances of this occurring, the original oem battery was replaced. Within 2 months of installing the new battery, the car wouldn't start and required a jump. The car will start fine for a few weeks and then requires another jump (this repeats every several weeks). The car has been inspected by a honda dealership and they found no charging or draw issues. The car is driven enough, according to the dealer, so that's not an issue either. It appears based on other complaints to nhtsa that this issue is happening to other 2017-2018 honda accord owners. Please investigate this issue with honda and have them perform a recall if necessary.

I purchased a new vehicle thru a honda dealership, which is 4 hour drive from my residence. I've had to get vehicle jumpstarted on 4 occasions and have taken vehicle to a local honda dealership to get it inspected under warranty terms. The dealership has only replaced battery twice yet has not been able to pinpoint problem. Driver side door lock/unlock button also has been malfunctioning and temperature gauge has also been malfunctioning. I have been working with honda finance corporation case manager by the name of kia who has been giving me runaround along with local dealership, unable to solve vehicle defect/safety issue. They now suggest i take vehicle to original honda dealer of purchase which is a 4 hour drive and have them remove after market alarm they installed which might supposedly be causing electrical problem. However, it is speculation and driving long distance is a hardship for me and very unfair. I feel like local honda dealer should fix problem. This is a huge car safey issue that has not been resolved. Your assistance and guidance is very appreciated.

My honda accord 2017 4 cyn all of dash board lights lit up, the steering wheel partially locked while i was driving going 55 mph. I pulled over and couldn't cut the car off with my start button.after about 5 minutes i was able to finally cut it cut off. Then it would not start at all. Then after another 5 minutes it started and i went straight to the car dealership january 2019. About seven months earlier, my car would start at all. I went to the dealership and they couldn't find anything wrong. They told me only thing it might be was the battery, i bought a battery and my car was only 11 months old. Recently, february 2019, now my battery is 7 months old, my car wouldn't start again. They can't find anything wrong with my car, but i am having issues. There have been times when i start my car and the dash lights do not come on and i hold the button on the dash and the system reboot and the dash light come on. My car is at the dealership and now it is starting, but the said everything is registering that nothing is wrong. I have an huge issue because i can't be strained in this cold winter weather and my car not starting.this is unsafe because i was in motion less than a month ago on the highway going 55 mph and my car froze in motion. Cjb february 2019

There are times the car will not start. Have to get a jump to start

Battery died after less than 2 years of use. Needed to replace. No electrical use of the vehicle, pep boys says its a common issue with new hondas. Needed to tow car and dangerously turned off in the middle of the street when the battery died.

The backup camera is flashing and black so i cannot see the view while in reverse. The guidelines still appear and the screen works for all other functions.

The vehicle was parked and locked. When i returned to the vehicle four hours later all four windows and the sun roof were fully opened. The key fob was in my pocket the entire time i was away from the vehicle. The vehicle started with no problem and there were no warning or failure lights activated on the dash. I was able close all windows with no problem. I've not yet taken the vehicle to honda but i intend to do so asap. This is a huge concern!

The car caught on fire by itself, a car only with 13,000 miles and 1 year of usage that means almost brand new car. I drove 9 miles aprox. From home to my work location. When i arrive and park the car before going upstairs, i saw the car blowing unusual smoke from the engine compartment, i opened the hood and i saw the fire was coming between the engine and the radiator. I call the 911 and when they arrived they tried to use a fire extinguisher but the fire started getting out of control, forcing them to use the water hose to stop the fire. Honda is not taking care of this safety concern and no body knows what happened

Battery died after less than 2 yrs of use. Battery dies about once a weekwhat can i do, very dangerous if happen to me in the middle of the nigh.

The electric power steering went out due to a faulty electrical plug. It went out while my wife was driving on highway. This is an ongoing issue that is known to honda. Yet there has not been a recall. I have not been able to drive the car for 4 weeks.

My car battery keep dying if i dont drive car only for 2 days

Vehicle failed to start in garage for first time after having been driven regularly.battery too weak to turn engine over.attempted to recharge battery.it would not take a charge.checked battery fluid level and it was below top of plates in three outer cells.added distilled water and attempted to charge again.it would still not take a charge.called dealer and reported.2017 accord was 38 months since purchase with 28,000 miles on it.no warranty coverage therefore i purchased a new battery at farm & fleet.technician there noted battery case distortion as if the battery had been frozen.definitely did not happen since we had the vehicle since the battery had never previously been discharged to make it vulnerable to freezing.definitely a problem other than routine battery failure due to age or use.

Car won't turn over at random times. Cleaned terminals and tested battery and alternator which are good.

The car battery does not hold charge. If the car is not used for three days to a week, the battery is completely dead. The car must be jump start. I have seen a lot of complaints online regarding the same problem. Based on my previous experience, car battery lasts seven to ten years before experiencing any trouble. I think either there is a faulty sensor or a system in the car that stays on when the car engine is turned off resulting in the complete discharge of the battery.

My car braking system and all the safety systems stopped functioning on my car while i was on the highway (garden state parkway south) this morning, 3/15/2019.my brakes did not work to slow the car down at all. When it initially started to show the error messages i tried to use the brakes and it felt like my car accelerated.i luckily was able to allow my car to slow down naturally and get off at a rest stop (monmouth rest area, and force pull the emergency brake to a stop and put my car in park.it was really a scary situation on a very busy highway to have your brakes not work at all.i was advised it could be a lie battery indicator of the electronic system that is all connectedto even the brakes. It is highly dangerous that an electrical glitch or malfunction can completely disable my braking system and all other safety features.

The contact owns a 2017 honda accord. While driving 45 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact was unable to restart the vehicle. Additionally, the contact stated that the interior lighting would remain illuminated, the in-dash navigation system and other internal and external lighting would blink or flash independently. The vehicle was towed to autonation honda (1990 covington pike, memphis, tn 38128, (901) 209-1283) to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that there was an electrical failure that was attributed to the key fob not being in sync with the vehicle's ecu. The mechanic was able to restart the vehicle; however, after approximately three months of driving, the failure recurred. After the third failure, the vehicle was towed back to the dealer. The mechanic was unable to restart the vehicle. The contact was informed that several wiring harnesses had melted and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the contact was concerned that the failure could recur. The contact was informed by the service department that they were unable to guarantee that the failure would not recur and to get rid of the vehicle prior to the warranty expiring. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 80.

Recently took my car in for car doc maintenance for and an oil change. Paperwork states the battery is good. Upon leaving the dealership after mechanic brought my vehicle out to me i jumped tried to start the vehicle and it wouldn't start so i informed the honda mechanic and they gave me a jump with the jumper box. It's been 1 month since then and my car won't start at the oddest times even after i've been driving for a while. Car won't start or turn over and the lights just flicker on and off. I'm currently waiting on a tow truck to get a jump my car is parked in the garage and it won't start. Very frustrated with honda i had the car less than 2 years and i have less than 50k miles

The contact owned a 2017 honda accord. While the vehicle was parked, a fire started in the cabin of the vehicle. The contact's spouse was able to extinguish the fire. The fire department was notified of the fire. The vehicle was towed to the police impound lot and then released to the insurance company. The contact stated that the dealer (atlantic honda, located at 1391 sunrise hwy, bay shore, ny 11706, (631) 665-0005), the manufacturer, and the insurance company declined to investigate the cause of the fire. The insurance company stated that there was no conclusive determination as to the cause of the fire. The vehicle was destroyed. The approximate failure mileage was 28,000.

Two days ago the sunroof opened on its own while car was parked and off. It opened overnight during a rainstorm. I closed the sunroof. I was puzzled but the car seemed fine and drove fine. Today the car is completely dead. It jump-started but there numerous symbols lit on the dashboard so my mechanic advised me to have it towed, it is not safe to drive.

When first drove new car off lot (0 miles) 9/2016 and many times over several months later to (7k mi) 8/2017, car tire pressure light continues to come on while driving in city and highway traffic.dealer claims tires not part of car warranty.replaced tire, light still comes on.distracting and annoying...don't know if tires properlyinflated.uncomfortable seating and head rest (driver's seat).

After it rained, was driving on highway when suddenly series of errors/problem messages came up on my dashboard. Incl, emissions controls system problem, tire pressure sys prob, avoidance collision sys prob, collision mitigation sys prob, power steering sys prob, etc. Made calls immediately to honda contacts and got off the freeway. It happened as the maintenance dept's at honda were closing for the weekend.except for the messages the car seemed to be driving okay. Still drove slowly to get groceries so i would not have to go back out.as i started the car again, the power steering failed to work; i could not turn the wheel.triple a thought the problem was due to wetness getting into the computer system. When i started the car with him present, power steering started working again. So, i drove it home again very slowly. Next morning i started the car to see if i would still get the failure messages. They are still there. Took video of messages and will attempt to screen capture some of the messages.

The trunk lid opens on it's own while driving down the road.has happened many times.reported to dealer 3 times.they can't find the problem.must be electrical.when i push the fob button going down the road it won't open.just randomly when going down the road - 35-50 mph.

Since i bought my 2017 accord many times after driving the car and turning off the engine i tried to start it didn't i had to have it a boost then it runs fine with some dash lights on then they disappear once i drive after many times i took it to the dealer they said your battery is good and no electrical problem and then i read online i saw tons of people talking about the same issue and they had to replace honda battery to a bigger battery with higher cca because this battery is weak and it cause a stall consequently a crash or the car will not start if you are in the middle of nowhere it's clear this is a honda problem that i'll have to buy a bigger battery with higher cca and capacity to avoid as they said(not honda) this problem to happen again thank you very muchthis car is 28 days old

Tire pressure monitoring system problem. (tpms problem)on a new 2017 honda accord hybrid sedan! as at 07/08/17. Tpm problem. I bought my new 2017 honda accord hybridfor its reliability. In less than six months. Two michilin tires have blown out. Both front passenger and rear driver side. The rear one blew out while driving on the highway. It was initially giving me low tire pressure warnings. After a week of taking it to the delearship i bought it to look at it and repair, it blew out unexpectedly on 07/06/17. I always replace those tire with my own money. The delearship told me the tires don't come with warranty! what? new tires from michilin? incredibly unbelievable right. I have personally contacted michilin today 07/08/17 and they said they'll give me a call. I scheduled an appointment at the dealership on 07/08/17. They said they had repaired and test drove it. In less than 5 miles of driving average of 45mph, the system read. "tpm pronlem". Tire pressure monitoring problem. With the warning sign of low tire pressure inscribed on the instrument panel. With so much disappointment and unpredictability that i write this letter. Not knowing what will happen next with my new 2017 honda accord hybrid tire pressure monitoring system problem. Not even counting the damages caused: emotional pain with the love i developed for my vehicle, the disappointment, the financial cost-the car is actually not equipped with a spare tire. Any time the tire blows out, i need to emergently repair it with my own out of pocket money unexpectedly. Unsafeness- the first michilin tire blew out unexpectedly at night after 10 pm at a location in chicago i had no idea with. I had to drive it and park it in darkness at a shell filling station where it could have been towed. I had to take the public transportation more than an hour back to home where i lived. So unsafe.

So there are a few issues with my 2017 honda accord sport first one is the tire whooshing sound it makes i know i have seen many people complain about the same thing and i have took it to the dealer but they are unable to do anything until a recall is made very frustrating that i have to wait until a recall is made to get this problem fixedsecond issue my tpm keeps coming on i just took it for an oil change and had the tire pressure checked and adjusted and barley a day later it comes back on the this has been going on for the last 3 months i checked the tires they are in really good condition lots of life on them and same response from the dealer can't do anything super frustratingthird issue is that when it is hot outside and the inside of my car gets hot my screen shuts off i am talking this one in to the dealer to leave it hopefully they can get it fixed and don't give me the same answer as i got for all my other issues

I have a 2017 accord - in september 2019 the backup camera lcd screen started to flicker for a week or so each time i put the car into reverse. When i changed the camera angle it would sometimes come back and work while backing up, but then it went to a black screen altogether. It's been black ever since, the camera goes on while i reverse but nothing shows on the lcd screen but the guiding yellow lines. I went to fix the camera today myself and noticed the recall of the 2018 accords. I think the same issue is happening with the 2017 accord. I'd like to see honda take responsibility rather than have to pay another $200-$350 to fix this. I am out of warranty.here is what i found that brough me to this site. Vehicles recalled: 232,140 of the 2018 honda accord sedan and 2019 honda insight hybrid sedan.the problem: the backup camera may fail because of bad software.the fix: dealers will reprogram the display audio unit software, at no charge to owners.how to contact the manufacturer: the recall is expected to begin nov. 5, 2018. Owners may contact honda customer service at 888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are k2g and v2f.nhtsa campaign number: 18v629

While driving condition, sometimes break problem was found and other 5 problems showing in the odometer that time i couldnot have control on the vehicle. When i push break padel , it doesnot work. I am facing this problrm couple of the time. First time honda dealer reset the codes, 2nd time they suggest me to replace the battery, i did. Then after while i am facing same problem.what should i do , i dont understand but i am very disappointed with this vehicle. I could be in danger sometimes while on highway. Need the right solution but i still dont get the result.

Backup camera quit working. Black screen when using reverse. Exceedingly common issue with these cars. Dangerous to pedestrians, especiallychildren. Fuse is intact. Wiring is intact. No damage to camera.

For the second time in less than two months, the emissions/electrical/check engine on the 2017 honda accord is an issue.i have researched the internet and i am finding that this is a common error on the 2016 honda's and newer.the emission error system has come on again.the last time i had this problem the converter had to be replaced.the system error comes on when driving when raining, which makes me believe that there is also a electrical problem as well. I find this concerning on a new, 100 percent dealer maintained vehicle.there is obviously an electrical/emission problem in the system and it requires an independent party to review.the tech states no issue can arise from having the check engine/emission light on but the car does tend to lose power during these issues.honda owners should not be held liable for manufacture errors.

Electrical system failure. Had to replace the battery and that didn't work. The safety features on the car are no longer operating (abs, lkas, acc). These features all stopped working while driving on the highway. This was terrifying and could be an issue if someone is used to having these features available and all of a sudden they don't work. If a driver is dependent on these safety features after driving for several years with having them on, a driver could potentially cause harm to themselves or others if these features are suddenly not functioning correctly. When i went to the dealer they said it wasn't covered under the car warranty. Car is only 2 years old and has under 60k miles.

Replaced the factory battery in 8/19 and then again 9/24/19.there was nothing left on in the car that would have caused the battery to die and alternator is charging correctly per technician.is there a known issued with the electrical system?

The vehicle was park in the driveway at night and when we came out at night the windows and sunroof where fully open on a rainy night so i have a lot of water damage also. I seen that people say that the remote could had been press but that is not possible because the keys where just laying on the table. Also the cmara to back up and the lane changing don't work sometimes.

I took my car in for a recall, when i got to the dealership i tried to roll up my window it went half way up and than came back down, i tried this several times in front of 3 service men, they said that's strange i said i know this just happened. So of course when i dropped off me car they could not figure out why it would not do that for them, but of course the car was turned off by than. So when my car was down i let the dealership went into the store and when i came out all my windows were half way down and my sunroof was cracked open. I call my service guy and explained to him what happened, so the next day i took my car back into the dealership and of course it didn't happen for them..the service man said well if you hold down the button all your windows will open i said that was impossible because i was in the store when this happened and there was no was i could have opened it! so now it's just a wait and see to see if it happends a third time!

Car would not start back up. Ihad parked and when i got back in the car it would not start.

Vehicle has been dead on 4+ occasions. Stationary, in garage. Vehicle is driven as little as once per week at times but the battery or electric draw has caused the car to fail in as little as a couple days or even trunk being open for 15-20min.i've had to tow this vehicle 3times for service.dealer is brushing this off without responsibility. Saying the car has to be driven for more than 20minutes to receive full charge. Also, the vehicle has a number of electronics that require the vehicle to be driven more. They refuse to replace the battery unless it checks bad. The issue is an electrical draw. Most likely seems related to the rear hatch. Battery should be replaced with a larger capacity and these vehicles should be recalled and diagnosed for electrical draw failures.

Over the last several days the car would not start without requiring a jump for the battery. Then it would run, but once the car was off and had to be restarted it would require another jump. Had the battery tested and brought the car to dealership and they state nothing is wrong with the vehicle. (it started there no problem). It ran fine for the next few days, but currently its parked and won't start. The only lights that displayed was the eps which turned off shortly after the car started.

On 2/28/19 @5:15 pm got in my car started it up and when i did everything in the video was happening so i immediately went to butler honda in milledgeville ga where they checked it out and stated that it was camera's malfunctioning and that they would order a new camera. On friday which was 3/1/19. And they will give me a call on monday.. And that my car was safe to drive i had nothing to worry about. I just pray and hope so

I have a 2017 accord - the backup camera lcd screen started to flicker for a few days each time i put the car into reverse also was real grainy the week befor the flickering . When i changed the camera angle it would sometimes come back and work while backing up, but then it went to a black screen altogether. It's been black ever since, the camera goes on while i reverse but nothing shows on the lcd screen but the guiding yellow lines that seem to be pointing up. I noticed the recall of the 2018 accords backup camera and i think the same issue is happening with the 2017 accord. My vehicle has been parked for a week befor this happened. I really believe this needs to belooked into and something needs to be done. I see that more than just my 2017 accord has been having the same issue with there backup camera as well.

Rear view camera goes blank or completely dark intermittently when shifting from park (p) to reverse gear (r). Have to stop the car, switch off the ignition, restart the car to make the back up camera work again.

Blind spot assist camera is a distraction and flickers due to other vehicle headlights at night. Huge distraction can be dangerous, not an effective safety feature. Driver side window doesn't close. Even after 5 attempts the driver side window starts to close and half way reopens. All windows close noticeably slower. Dealership can't replicate issue so no repair. Still have the issue, even when parked the window doesn't close.

Since i purchased the 2017 honda accord hybrid touring vehicle in oct 2016 i have had issues with the stereo system maintaining a carplay connection from my iphone x to the car stereo via the cable connection.it started out as occasional disconnections and periodic losses of music or sound from my iphone to complete random reboots of stereo and above stereo display.in the last year i can no longer use carplay at all without my phone losing connection when using google maps, apple maps, pandora, phone calls or any carplay apps.my stereo now constantly reboots itself, stops sounds from being emitted from phone, randomly disconnects my voice during phone calls but shows connected still, stereo freezes and so does the screen above the stereo, randomly shows android (stereo system designed on android software) errors.sometime i can disconnect and reconnect the cable and that solves it while other times the only fix is for me to pull over, turn off my car and turn it back on.i have replaced the cable multiple times with direct from apple cables and most recently got the new iphone 12 pro and it all still happens.the dealership has replaced the stereo a few weeks ago and when i dropped my car off i had the iphone x and when i picked it up i had the new iphone 12 pro with new cable and on my way home i used google maps and made a call and with the new stereo installed the honda stereo completely rebooted itself as it had previously with iphone x and replaced cables.this is not a one off as little google research shows others experiencing the same thing and honda has other vehicles with a myriad of carplay and stereo problems.i spent almost $3k more for this car over the toyota comparable at the time specifically because i travel and wanted carplay to use apple maps or google maps and now i can't use carplay at all.

Backup/reverse camera has failed.when the car is put into reverse, the in car monitor displays a black screen with yellow grid lines.camera image is no longer displayed.resetting camera settings to default does not correct the problem.this is a clear safety issue, especially around small children.drivers have come to rely on backup cameras to detect small children and obstacles that cannot be seen with just the use of a rear view mirror.a cameras failure creates a clear and present dangerous when backing up. The vehicle in question is 6 months outside the manufacturers warranty and has less than 32k miles.the cameras failure this early in the vehicles lifecycle is indicative of a defect and not due to age.additionally, honda camera failures are a known issue, subject to a recall, on 2018 honda accords.there is a likely possibility that the same cameras were installed in many 2017 honda accords.

The contact owned a 2017 honda accord. While the contact's wife was driving 40 mph, the collision mitigation braking system failed and she rear ended another vehicle. The air bags did not deploy. A police report was filed and there were no injuries. The vehicle was towed by liberty mutual insurance to a body shop and deemed a total loss. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed. The manufacturer was notified and provided case number: 09105290. The failure mileage was approximately 16,098. *dtconsumer continued to brake but the brake failed to stop. The front airbag deployed. Updated 02/01/19

The contact owns a 2017 honda accord. The contact stated while entering and starting the vehicle, the front driverā€™s side and passengerā€™s side seat warmers activated inadvertently and remained on while the vehicle was in operation. The contact stated that the seat warmers were extremely hot to the point of melting the driverā€™s side front seat. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer to be inspected. The mechanic was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 38,933.

The contact owns a 2017 honda accord. While inspecting the vehicle, the contact noticed that the front bumper started to melt. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (dublin honda, 6300 dublin blvd, dublin, ca 94568), where the failure could not be determined. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic for the bumper repairs but still the failure was not determined. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 4,661.

On 2/28/19 @5:15 pm got in my car started it up and when i did everything in the video was happening so i immediately went to butler honda in milledgeville ga where they checked it out and stated that it was camera's malfunctioning and that they would order a new camera. The car tempts to shake and when put on drive the car won't move forward passing 20 mph. When the car os placed on reverse the car won't go back and even though i press the accelerator it struggles to go back. This has been doing it for three times already for the past 2 months. I bought this car on june 2017. This car started failing within a month.

For three mornings in a row, upon starting the vehicle all the malfunction indicators for the vehicle assist systems became illuminated.on the two previous days, after driving for a short distance and restarting the vehicle, the malfunction indicators stopped illuminating.however, after several restart attempts this morning, the malfunction indicators remained illuminated.

I was sitting in my garage comparing features from my 2017 accord hybrid with the 2020 accord hybrid my wife just got. The collision mitigation system problem, road departure mitigation system problem, adaptive cruise control problem came on. When i drove it i realized i'd lost control over those features.

2017 honda accord sport se. Has been losing power and stalling randomly. Restarts fine after pulling over and turning engine off.. When it starts to lose power the check engine light, anti-lock brake system light, and tire pressure monitoring system light all turn on. This has happened nearly 10 times on the city streets going 30mph and the freeways going 65+ mph. Extremely dangerous!! it has happened the past couple months and again each of the last few days.

Passenger side day time running light stopped working approx 50k miles went to bigisland honda the parts department representative quoted me $2k $1500 for the light and $500 to install than soon after idler tensioner started making a weird grinding noise went online to research these 2 problems and both are very common problems with these model honda accords other than these problems this is a great car but i don't know if i'll ever buy a honda accord again basically left stranded with no help from the bigisland honda the dealership i bought it from. They basically told me i'm sorry it's way out of the warranty mileage and there's nothing they can do. I googled to see how much people has the same issue it's literally thousands of people with honda accords. Honda should step up there game or there going to loose a lot of customers over the next upcoming years. Honda of america please put a recall and fix these issues before it turns into a epidemic thanks.

Engine stalling

Car would not start back up. Ihad parked and when i got back in the car it would not start.

Very upset

When you let off the gas pedal and then reapply the car will not respond. You have to keep pressing and releasing the gas pedal til the car respond. It does it when leaving from a stop in traffic and if you are driving down the street.

In 2017 i purchased a new accord touring. Shortly after purchase, i noticed the car would stall. I have taken the car back on several occassions to have it checked. Each time i have been told they can not detect anything and can not reproduce the issue. I have nearly been hit on a few occassions. I have also complained about the lane departure feature. It too has automatically and without reason over corrected, nearly causing collisions because it abruptly and without reason self corrected. The automatic breaking system has also enacted and caused unwarranted stopping.when the brake notification warning flashes on the dashboard, has caused me to react by applying pressure to the brakes even when it was unneccessary. This feature seems to wear down the brakes with the sudden and unwarranted stopping; even producing the smell of brakes and tires burning.all of these issues are extremely dangerous and can cause serious injury and even death nearly causing cars to hit me in the back. The lane departure and auto correction has caused the car to over correct and veer into other lanes or even off road. This is extremely concerning as it the auto correction can lasts for seconds and i was unable to stop it or regain steering control of the vehicle. These incidents have happened on several occassions and were reported to the dealership.

My 2017 honda accord coupe has just above 8000 miles on it and almost everyday will stall if i try to accelerate and also try to switch lanes from time to time. There have been so many times where the car will slow down drastically on the road and it is becoming very dangerous. I took it to the service station and since they couldn't find a code when scanning, they told me nothing was wrong and sent me on my way. The car hasn't stopped stalling and it looks like my model has a recall announced for it but it's for a v6 engine and not a v4 which is what i drive. The picture below shows all the lights that turn on from my dashboard when the car stalls.

The contact owns a 2017 honda accord. The contact stated that while driving 20 mph and attempting to accelerate, the vehicle failed to respond. The vehicle was taken to long beach honda (1500 e spring st, signal hill, ca 90755, (562)999-5830) to be diagnosed. The mechanic performed an oil change and the vehicle was returned to the contact. The failure recurred and was taken back to the same dealer. The mechanic performed an oil change and transmission flush however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the same dealer and the contact was informed that the dealer would pay for one transmission flush and the vehicle owner was responsible for the secondary transmission flush. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 58,000.

Car accelerated on its own and would breaks would not engagecar had to be turned off to stop

The starter went out on the vehicle just after 36k miles. I have read that it is a common issue and wanted more reports of it happening because it is unacceptable.

The contact owns a 2017 honda accord. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the check engine warning light illuminated and remained illuminated. The vehicle was taken to boardwalk honda located at 6807 tilton rd, egg harbor township, nj 082234, however, the mechanic was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 36,000.

On the night on july 3, 2017 the 2017 honda accord which was only 5 weeks old was parked in the driveway of my house. The car was in park and the motor was turned off. You would not be able to remove the key unless the car was in park.the car that was parked in front of the honda accord went to back out without realizing a car was behind it. The other vehicle involved was a kia optima. The kia optima lightly bumped the honda accord and stopped as soon as it realized the honda was behind it. There was no damage to the front of the honda accord or to the back of the kia optima. The honda accord was parked on a flat surface at the time. When the kia hit the honda the honda rolled down the driveway and hit a light pole. The entire light pole crashed down and broke.at first i thought that this was impossible until i saw my neighbor's video footage of the incident. We contacted honda service department and of course at first they thought that was impossible until they saw the video. After a few days honda got corporate tech support involved and was told not to release the car back to me until they found out what was wrong. After about a week honda told me that they were unable to duplicate the problem but as a "precautionary measure" they were going to replace the transmission. They did replace the transmission but said they would not pay for the damage to the back of the honda or the light pole. I feel that they should be responsible for the damage to the car and the light pole. A car that is lightly bumped should not roll away. It could have been much worse had a child been behind the car or the light pole could have crashed onto something. I feel like they found something wrong with the transmission and are covering up for it otherwise if they truly found nothing wrong with the transmission then why did they replace it in the first place.

Engine failed and head gasket blew at 45k miles, a week after purchased certified.

1/10/2020 car wouldn't start.no previous problems.called honda roadside assistance they provide a jump start in which the car started.drove the car right to david hobbs honda.they performed test which said everything.6/4/2020 my car did the exact same thing expect this time i did drive to the dealership after getting a jump start. Later that evening i went to start the car and it wouldn't start. 6/5/2020 morning the car wouldn't start. In all incidents the car would try to turn on but wouldn't,the keyless entry worked, all lights works. The steering wheel locked on all incidents. All incidents the car was stationary. 6/5/2020 my car was towed to david hobbs honda and they notified me the was completely dead when it arrived nothingwas working. They called back later in the day after doing testing and once again said all testing was fine. However, they would like to keep my vehicle overnight to see if my car would work in the morning and to do testing again.my vehicle is still at the dealership.

I have started noticing engine acceleration lag, a tire/wheel noise from driver front/rear side. The noise was very noticeable since it felt like the tire/wheel was rubbing against each other somewhere. The noise can be heard driving at the speed of 15-30mph having the window roll down. June 4th, 2018 made a appointment with purchasing dealership yonkers honda to have the car checked. However they could not duplicate the issue, so i test drove with mechanic and proved my case. After hearing the noise, they kept the car to fix the issue and when i went to pick up the car the noise was back again. Since they could not fix the issue, they labeled it as "normal" and cannot duplicate the noise despite showing it to them after multiple visit. I opened a case with american honda and they could not get yonkers honda to fix the issue or get the manager to call me to explain what happened. Instead, amh advised me to try another dealership which i did,"new rochelle honda" however they were no help whatsoever. They did not even want to work on the car despite their mechanic hearing the noise. The director informed the manager that there is no problem with the car and fed honda lies about director ever contacting me or test driving with me. I called honda again, and they did not help me instead told me to go to another dealership. I am on my third dealership, working with bronx honda about the same issue since june 4th, 2018 and still no fix...now i am experiencing acceleration lag, brake rotors issues, wheel vibration, vibration while braking from high speed even though bronx honda resurfaced the brake rotors instead of replacing them with new one.

The contact owns a 2017 honda accord. While driving various speeds, the vehicle stalled and the check engine warning indicator illuminated. While in traffic, the vehicle would jerk and then drive normally when the accelerator pedal was depressed. The failure recurred every two weeks. The vehicle was taken to breakaway honda (located at 330 woodruff rd, greenville, sc 29607, (877) 701-4395) to be diagnosed, but a failure code could not be found. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided case number: 09486822. The approximate failure mileage was 11,000.

Valve cover gage started leaking multiple times even after being fixed. The car was in motion shortly after it was parked

The contact owns a 2017 honda accord. While driving 80 mph on the highway, the speed reduced significantly. The contact pulled over and attempted to restart the vehicle. The vehicle took awhile to restart, hesitated, and did not smoothly shift gears to accelerate. The vehicle jerked and struggled to gain speed. The vehicle was driven slowly until it finally reached 65 mph; however, it would decelerate on any hill and struggle to gain speed. All the instrument panel indicators illuminated. Team honda (6363 siegen ln, baton rouge, la 70809, (225) 298-4100) scheduled an appointment for later in the week. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 66,000. The vin was unknown.

The contact owns a 2017 honda accord. The contact stated that while driving at 80 mph, the engine stalled without warning. The contact turned off and restarted the vehicle and was back to normal. The vehicle was taken to the dealer honda west located at 7615 w sahara ave, las vegas, nv 89117; (800) 249-9504 where the dealer could not find the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted and was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 7,000.

Lost power while driving on hwy at 65mph. All lights came on and speed dropped instantly to 30mph. Wouldn't go over 50mph after letting the car sit for an hour. Mileage was at 37100. Happened again two months later. This timewhile driving 45mph the car stopped going and all lights came on. Wouldn't drive over 20mph. Picked up by tow truck and taken to honda service department. Both times taken to honda they said they found absolutely nothing wrong with the car even tho all the lights were lit up on dash. This is very dangerous and can result in crash.

Battery died after less than 2 years of use. Needed to replace. No electrical use of the vehicle, pep boys says its a common issue with new hondas. Needed to tow car and dangerously turned off in the middle of the street when the battery died.

2017 honda accord sport , i get engine light the car starts acting up , took it to my mechanic they replace plugs and acoil then kept on doing it . Took it to honda in modesto . Couldn't find out what was going on . Just drove it and still giving problems

Engine head keeps leaking oil.took it to the dealer 3 times but they would just tighten the head bolts and put a seal around it that would last about 500 miles before it starts leaking again.this problem started at 4k miles.

At 48k mile, driver side led daytime running light failed.

Led strip in headlight cannot be replaced and requires the entire headlight to be replaced. Headlight was fine, only led light went out at $37,000 miles but had to replace the entire headlight. No led strip replacement is offered.

Led drl premature failure: i write concerning premature drl led failure in the led headlights of my 2017 honda accord touring v6.the led drl failed less than 18 months and 22k miles into brand-new ownership.the unit's design is such that, should it fail, complete and costly replacement of the unit is necessary:$1500+.while the item is covered under the new car warranty, subsequent failures of this supposed safety item would not be covered, should additional premature failure occur, which is a most inconvenient and hazardous realization.

The daytime running lights in touring models which are sealed headlamp assemblies, partially fail prematurely. Not having proper drl or having units that fail with only 45,000 miles on the vehicle are a safety hazard.

Led headlights, led light strip for daytime running light on the passenger side went out after 25000 miles and almost 2 years.

The led inside of the headlight assembly melts the surrounding plastic causing failure of the daytime running lights. Complete replacement of the headlight is required to repair it. This is a widespread problem across all 2016 and 2017 models.

Many new cars are now equipped with daytime running lights.i have experienced many drivers including myself, who have started out driving at dusk and not realized that they are driving with the daytime running lights on only.the vehicles taillights are not operable with only the daytime running lights activated.i just recently approached a vehicle on a poorly lit roadway that did not have any tail lamps activated.this seems to be a built in danger with the new vehicles.

Drl's problem, the daytime running lights on my 2017 honda accord touring are having problem's. The left side works perfectly fine as the right side has completely stopped working.

The led daytime running light (drl) strip is out on my drivers side after only 9 months. I have read about 8 other complaints and spoken with other accord owners with the same issue. It is absurdly expensive to replace considering it is all one assembly. I am a police officer and having issues with the drl in that short of a time, a component that is extremely important to safety, is a sign of poor crafting/manufacturing.

The daytime running light led bar went out on my drivers side around 30k miles, now the passenger side has gone out around 35k miles.the drivers side was replaced under warranty but have not gotten to take it in yet for the passenger side.

The contact owns a 2017 honda accord. The contact stated that after driving and pulling into a parking spot, the contact parked and exited the vehicle and was informed by someone that the front driverā€™s side daytime running light was off. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer who inspected the vehicle and diagnosed the failure that the light bulb needed to be replaced. The dealer replaced the front driverā€™s side headlight bulb. After approximately a year the failure recurred. The contact took the vehicle back to a local dealer who replaced the headlight bulb again however when the contact went to pick up the vehicle, she noticed that the front passengerā€™s side headlight was flickering. The contact notified the dealer of the issue and the dealer inspected the passengerā€™s side headlight and replaced the light bulb however, the failure persisted. The contact was concerned that the headlights were replaced with defective parts. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 41,000.

Lkas, acc and pre-collision braking all fail intermittently.i have taken the car to two separate dealerships for diagnosis.the first advised me to replace the optical camera, the second advised me to replace the microwave radar, but neither would affirm that the replacement part would eliminate the intermittent failures.when the system fails, all associated safety features as well as cruise control are disabled for the duration of that trip.

Intermittent loose power while accelerating, while making turns.turning the car battery on the waiting 3 seconds before starting the engine will usually start the car then car will throw up caution light that gas cap is not tightly closed or pump not getting proper pressure.

Bomba fuel rail pressure too low tiene recall???? se dao honda accord sport 2017 4 cil.

Intermittent loose power while accelerating, while making turns

When you let off the gas pedal and then reapply the car will not respond. You have to keep pressing and releasing the gas pedal til the car respond. It does it when leaving from a stop in traffic and if you are driving down the street.

Rodent's chewed a hole in the evap line coming off the fuel tank. 2552 miles on the car. It is my understanding that the corrugated evap line has a soy based coating. Because this line is built into the fuel tank the whole fuel tank needs to be replaced. Estimated cost is $1552, not covered under the manufacture's warranty. Very worried a similar problem will happen with the replacement part and i'll be looking at multiple replacements. Asking the repair shop to treat the new part with honda's rodent deterrent tape part # 4019-2317, before reinstalling.

I received a call from my dealer stating that my car is under recall for a fuel pump issue; however, i can't find any information online about such a recall.

Fuel rail low pressure. Low miles on this vehicle i bought for my wife. The two fuel pumps they run on 2017 honda break a lot. Vehicle is now in limp mode until i can get it fixed.

Fuel pump nuzzles at gas stations do not fit and not going all the way in the fuel tank when refueling.fuel and gases overflow creating a fire hazard.

According to my local honda dealer (hondanation knoxville), and based on my own experience, the 2017 honda accords have a known "acceleration lag" problem. Often when accelerating from a stationary position, or even a slow-turn or merge position, there can be a 1 to 3 second delay between pressing the accelerator and actually getting the car to move. This can present a highly serious situation. In effect, the car can stall for a 1 to 3 second period while oncoming traffic closes in on you. Sometimes you can press the accelerator all the way to the floor with no response, only to have the car "lurch" a second or two later. The problem happens most frequently in city driving after the car has warmed up. My local honda dealer says there is no known fix for this widely reported problem. Logic says that at some point someone will be seriously injured because of this known acceleration lag problem affecting late model hondas.

Fuel delivery is starved as if the fuel pump is failing causing a delay in acceleration.

I drove my car on 95 and for some reason im hitting the accelerate and it was going slower then fast i had to pull over and turn off car and turn it back on.

Driving and vehicle started slowing and jerking and all lights came on...happened again 2-3 days later then again the following week.took vehicle to honda and was advised the fuel pump/system had to be replaced. Repairs are done and now i see there was a recall for 2017 honda accord with fuel pump problems....honda is saying because the gin don't populate an open recall it don't apply to my vehicle.

Rear-backup camera went black after i drove car to pick up son at friends house at night camera worked, parked car overnight, went to use car next morning rear camera inop, i thought it was fuse so i checked fuse, not blown.took car in to honda dealership 2 days later stated it was p&a due to failure, est. At over $700 to replace. Very unhappy since car is only 4yrs old and only 40k miles. How do honda owners know that this year camera was not affected like the recall on the 2018's. What if some 2017's had the defective cameras installed, so i called honda was told no recall on camera, brought up the 2018/ recall to the rep and she stated this did not affect my vin#. I was not satisfied and wanted this issue to be reviewed since there was no damage to the camera. I feel this is an issue honda should rectify due to it being a safety issue and the recalls on over thousand of other cameras in their other vehicles. Honda should stand by the oem parts that came with the vehicle and correct the safety issue regarding rear cameras that stop working. This is a multi-dollar industry because of the everyday people like myself that purchase these vehicles and that is why i feel honda should be more concerned with the safety of they drivers and others around them and add 2017 models to their recall list instead of making the consumer pay to an absurd amount of money to fix an issue with honda parts. Honda needs to stand by the craftsmanship of their parts and vehicles just like any other business and make it right to the consumer. I also had issues where car would feel like it was going to die while turning and accelerating, took it in and dealership to find out it was the fuel pump, made it seem like they were doing me a favor to replace it since it was out of warranty by only a few hundred miles when in fact it was a recall on my vin#. It has been fixed, did i get a lemon?

I purchased a used 2017 honda accord coupe with a v6 engine in may 2020. It has always slightly hesitated and stalled during all speeds of acceleration. Most notable from a stop, or very slightly trying to accelerate. I found a january 29, 2019 nhtsa campaign number: 19v060000 and a service bulletin or safety recall a19-016 dated february 13, 2019 was issued and on aug 1, 2020, i took the vehicle to a honda dealership near me for this complaint because it seemed to be getting worse.i was informed about 6 hours later my necklace chain hanging on the rear view mirror was shorting out the car causing my acceleration problem and charged $340.00.i had mentioned before and after this diagnosis that a safety recall on the fuel pump was issued to this car and was told the chain on mirror was the problem. I was actually given a piece of my chain back with a slight evenly burn mark on it. I still have this problem and don't have the time or money to go back and forth with the dealership on getting this resolved. My vin # does not show a recall needed presently, but i currently commute 120 miles a day in this vehicle and pray my problem will not worsen or it stop all together during this time.i could try again with another dealership, but do i need honda to issue this recall to my vin first before i can get this safety issue fixed at once?please advise on my concerns and thank you

Rear back-up camera failed on car with less than 28,000 miles. The vehicle is designed with a high rear, so unless the back-up camera is working, there's blind spots when reversing the car. Failure occurred after rare deep freeze/ice/moisture event in late feb 2021.wondering if moisture got into camera somehow.

Brake caliper retaining clips appear to be incorrectly installed or poorly designed. This has a trail of problems compiling at a quick pace. The brake pads don't travel freely even with grease. The outside brake pads will wear out approximately 1-2 millimeters before the inside brake pads wear down to the squealer (warning noise to let you know brake pad replacement is needed). The other pads will grind the outer surface of the rotars. Brake pads will not retract bake to normal position and constant friction causes excessive heat which is carried out through the caliper pistons, wheel hub/bearings, wheels, significant motor and transmission damage being over worked. Gas mileage is constantly in high teens. Rarely have i ever hit over 25mpg regardless of city driving out highway driving. First sign of brake pad failure@1st 8,000 miles on vehicle. Brake fluid is already burnt or drk brwnish color at 40,000 miles. This car generates more than questionable heat from front wheels after 10mins of parking lot driving. This appears as if the vehicle is being driving hard as if i am abusing the 2.4l 4cyl engine powering a cvt transmission.

The contact owns a 2017 honda accord. While idling, the vehicle accelerated without warning and the engine revved. The contact called landmark honda (5125 duke st, alexandria, va 22304, (703) 823-8000) and informed them of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 70,000.

We recently purchased a 2017 honda accord ex-l v6 at a dealership in duluth georgia. We traded a 2007 honda accord after having had an excellent experience with it. This nearly new vehicle is different from the 2007. It is mostly good but i discovered what i consider a safety issue. When the brake is applied, to reduce speed or come to a full stop, there is nearly a half second delay after lifting your foot from the brake pedal before the accelerator pedal becomes functional. If you happened to depress the accelerator prior to the end of the delay, the vehicle lurches forward and you could impact the vehicle ahead of you, or if you are moving forward and brake again to offset the forward lurch, the vehicle behind you could assume you were moving forward and rear end you because you braked unexpectedly. This situation could also be a problem when stopped on a hill either up or down. The delay creates a moment when the vehicle is out of control and unsafe.the fix could possible be to reduce the time of the lag or eliminate the lag situation completely in the computer module. I hope you will look into this concern!

Feel vibration during coasting & then going up in speed.

We financed a 2017 honda accord sport cvt on july 17, 2017. We have noticed various issues with the lag/hesitation upon accelerating as well as braking and steering. We searched online to see if anyone else was experiencing the same issues and found multiple complaints revolving around this model vehicle. Less than 11,000 miles, we noticed the front passenger brakes were getting really low and wearing unevenly compared to the other three, i.e. Screeching; which was odd and concerning since it had 11,000 miles and only one side was worn down. December 2017, the passenger front brakes became so low, when applying the brakes there was a metal on metal, grinding noise. We visually inspected the brakes and could see the brake pads on the passenger side were almost non-existent, as well as the wear on the rotors. We took the car to the dealership where we purchased the vehicle on 12-12-17 and they claimed the brake pads were wearing evenly/normal; the other service station at this location agreed that its not normal for the car the have less than 12000 miles for the first brake pads to be changed let alone worn unevenly. The concern wasn't the brake pads being changed, it is the mechanical function of the piston and caliper was causing the problem, or another underlying issue; having less than 12,000 miles isn't right. They didn't care, thought we wanted brakes changed for free. We filed a claim with honda regarding the safety and wear of the brakes. The dealership replaced the brake pads, turned the rotators. The problem is still there and the piston getting "hung" may be the underlining reason for why the car lags when trying to accelerate. If it is depressed, its possible the brakes are wearing down while accelerating. Safety is our first concern, and we feel there is a deeper problem that should be looked at. Will speak in further detail regarding these and other issues.

The contact owns a 2017 honda accord. The contact stated that the vehicle jumped the curb crashing into a building while the brake pedal was being depressed. The contact also mentioned that vehicle failed to accelerate when the accelerator pedal was depressed. The air bags did not deploy. A police report was not filed. The contact stated that she was transported to the hospital by ambulance as her heart rate was decreasing. The vehicle was towed to breakaway honda (330 woodruff rd, greenville, sc 29607 (877) 701-4395) where the failure could not be determined. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact mentioned that the vehicle was serviced at breakaway honda for nhtsa campaign number: 19v060000 (fuel system, other). The contact was not sure if the manufacturer was contacted. The vin number was not available. The failure mileage was 12,000. ## vin failed ## ,2017 honda touring ##

The contact owns a 2017 honda accord. The contact stated while her mother was driving at low speeds, the vehicle accelerated without warning.it was unknown if any warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to el paso honda located at 1490 lee trevino dr, el paso, tx 79936 (915) 591-6100 where they were unable to determine the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated while driving at low speeds the vehicle accelerated, jumped the curb and crashed into a tree. The air bags failed to deploy. There was no reported fire. The police report had not been finalized. The driver was provided medical attention however succumbed to her injuries. A witness informed the police that the driver was speeding. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 5,517.

When accelerating from a stop there is a couple of seconds hesitation of the power train. It is a serious problem that could cause an accident and death. It has happened many times but can go for some time without occurring.

The vehicle i owned is 2017 honda accord touring. Problem i discovered was center console silver stripe (passenger side) pop up. I went to dealership have it fixed. The problem occurs every month, and i am getting tried to fix it every month. The silver stripe piece is sharp, could possibly cut your finger or skin. I owned the vehicle for almost a year, like new, with less than 3k miles on it.

The contact owns a 2017 honda accord. While attempting to depress the accelerator pedal, the vehicle moved very slowly. The contact shifted into reverse and heard an abnormal noise. After placing the vehicle in drive, it became difficult to move while the accelerator pedal was depressed. The vehicle was towed to rick case honda (15700 rick case honda way, davie, fl 33331) where the diagnosis was undetermined. The vehicle was not repaired and the failure recurred. In addition, the vehicle was shook violently. The vehicle was taken back to rick case honda where it was diagnosed that the transmission was at fault. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 2,400. Consumer stated transmission was replaced and dealership exchanged for another 2017 honda accord.

Was driving on the highway when vehicle_ 2017 accord hybrid_ its speed was about increasing to around 55mph from about 40mph the vehicle suddenly lost power.the oil and battery indicator lights came on red on the instrument cluster and it stalled_ pressing the acceleration paddle couldn't make the vehicle move any faster. Put hazard lights on and moved to the side of the highway. The error code 'high voltage battery charge too low; vehicle cannot start' appeared on the instrument cluster. When youpush thestart button to start the vehicle, same error codes appear (hvbc high voltage battery chargetoo low, vehicle cannot start with the oil and battery indicators on instrument clusterlit on red).when you put the gear in drive it wouldn't move, nor when you put it in reverse the vehicle wouldn't back up. You could hear a loud revving noise when you put the vehicle in neutral. Got the vehicle towed to the dealer. Noticed 2014-15 accord hybrid was recalled for 'hybrid system may go into fail-safemode'. Production was stopped in 2016.but this is a 2017 honda accord hybrid with same issue from previous generation.

Honda accord 2017 continuously variable transmission (cvt) torque converter seal leaking transmission fluid. Dealer first said it was left-over from assembly, cleaned it.but leak persisted. They replaced the torque converted seal, and yet problem still persisted. Called honda customer assistance and they just wanted me to go to a different dealer.the car has only 10k miles. Drives normally. But leaking transmission fluid is a time bomb.you never know when it will get worse and possibly damage the transmission.

I was stopped on a city street at a red light and rear ended by a drunk driver going 45+mph.the drivers seat back failed upon collision and was thrust back on the rear passenger seat.the resulting seat failure caused injuries to my lower back that would not have taken place had the seat structure been designed strong enough to withstand a rear collision.

I am trying to buy a car, but when i test drive them, i have neck pain because the headrests reach so far forward. If you look at the seats from the side, one is forced to sit in a hunched, curved shape, with one's head projected forward, which is hardly comfortable or healthy. Please nhtsa, change the regulations and let us sit up straight! why protect me from uncertain neck injury by causing me certain pain on a daily basis?

Reported on three occasions to honda dealer in annapolis that driver seat makes a very load noise when adjusting seat forward and or backwards.dealership indicated that the noise was normal and that no repair could be made until the noise was even louder.car was purchased in june 2017 and first report of noise was made in june of 2017, to sales group at honda of annapolis, and thento service group in june and once more in december.the noise is getting louder.additionally a when driving down the highway at 40 + mphan excessive amount of street noisecan be heard in the cabin.

It's 2017 honda accord hybrid exl. I am driving in new york highway. I was driving about 40/45 mph in highway and all in sudden i saw a message in the dashboard is saying " break system problem""lane departure system problem ","automatic cruise controlsystem problem"and "collusion migration system problem". I thought its maybe something that gonna go away after restarting the car. But it didn't.i went to the garage to see what is the problem then check on the machine and its showing error code: p258364 millimeter wave radar aiming error. And it does not clear. The problem still in the car.

When decelerating while merging onto a highway at approximately 30mph, the car suddenly suddenly became difficult to control.all at once, the car's control and steering could not be easily maneuvered and electric power system (eps) indicator light flashed.there was no warning nor indication that the steering was compromised.i managed to regain control of the car while allowing it to coast.the steering will was stiff and large amounts of turning did not not control the car accurately.i coasted to a stop in a nearby parking lot and put the car in park and turned off the ignition.when the car was restarted, the eps light was not present and the steering control was reestablished.thinking this was possible due to a glitch, i continued driving for about two miles when the system once again went out and the eps light signaled at the same time.i was not able to move the car off of the highway, but was able to stop at a traffic light to put the car in park and turn it off to reset the system.i was able to then drive the car home.the next morning, while driving to the car dealership, the steering became uncontrollable and a basic turn could not be made when the car was at a low speed.i explained that the car could not be safely operated due to this issue.the dealership called hours later to notify me that they were ordering a new power steering rack.when i inquired as to what the issue was i was informed that the code simply recommended the system to be reset, but "they did not feel safe" allowing me to drive the car without replacing the system.my car has approximately 16,000 miles on it and i have only had the car for one year.it was purchased from the dealership with 5,000 miles on it as the manager had been driving the car for approx. 7 months.the car had the 15,000 mile service completed just last month in addition to an oil change.

I'm not sure but i think it's the regenerative brakes. They came on so hard when i let off the gas. I was almost rear ended and the guy behind me was pissed off. I was on the 15 fwy going about 70 when i let off the gas and the brakes slammed on. And on cost hwy going about 30 mph let off the gas and the brakes slammed on.

The brakes failed while driving.while driving as a slow speed (fortunately)i applied the brakes and all the dash faults came on and the braked failed to work.i had to use the e-brake to stop.i turned the car off, back on, the faults cleared and the brakes work.this could become a deadly crash if it occurs at high speed and the need to stop abruptly happens.

Loud grinding noise coming from front wheels on 2017 accord sport since almost new.very noticeable at lower speeds.honda dealer insisted grinding noise was from tire/rim combination and not items such as rotors, brakes, and/or wheel bearings, etc..

I will bring to dealer asap.warnings displayed in center of display:brake sytem problemadaptive cruise control problemvehicle stability assist (vsa) problemhill start assist problemcollision system mitigation problemroad departure mitigation system problem.while stopped i was able to take pictures of all the displays.

While operating my vehicle, in motion, the collision mitigation braking system (cmbs) light comes on frequently for no reason.this occurs while driving in both city street & highway driving as well.the cmbs system has also fully activated by itself a few times, for no apparent reason, resulting in the brakes locking up completely.this could have resulted in my being hit from behind as i have no control over the vehicle when this occurs. I have taken the vehicle back to the dealer for this problem more than once, and was told that the system was operating normally.apparently there is no fix for this problem.when the light comes on and the system activates i feel very unsafe operating the vehicle.the problem has been there since the vehicle was purchased new in july 2017.*the date selected below is the first of many occurrences, to include just yesterday*

Heavy steering wheels and feel stiffer coming out of parking or making u turn. Also, vibration can be felt while driving and/or braking 40mph to 60mph. Reported to yonkers honda, new rochelle honda, and bronx hondabut did acknowledge or resolve the issue, instead stated everything is working normal when it is not!

On numerous occasions, while driving at various speeds, my honda accord collision avoidance system will apply the brakes for no reason. There was nothing ahead of me that should cause this to happen. Luckily, this has not happened when someone was closely following me. This has happened at least 10 times since i bought the car new in 2017. It happens when driving straight on a highway.

On or about 6/10/19 while driving to work i noticed a noise coming from the rear of my car. The sound was like screeching nails on a chalkboard when the car is in motion at any speed without the brake pedal depressed. The sound would go away when i depressed the brake pedal. After i picked up my car on 6/15/19 from service, with only 18,119 miles, i was informed by my local honda dealer that all the brake pads had seized and all brake caliper pins had frozen. The car has only been subject to normal driving. This is honda case # 09629449.

I was driving on the highway with the cruise control on and the vehicle apply the brakes without anything been in front of it. It's scary because any one could rear end you. Took it to honda where the vehicle was purchase and they was taking about realigning the sensor.

I purchased my vehicle brand new april 2017.i am hearing a grinding, scratching noise coming from the front tires at low speeds (20 mph).i have 24,000 miles on the car and have gone to my local honda dealership to have every scheduled maintenance service.i'm not sure why my vehicle is having this loud grinding noise, especially when i have my windows down.the performance of my brakes are also not functioning properly because i can feel the grinding on the brake pedal and can hear the thumping noise when i am coming to a stop.i am concerned for my safety even more so now because i've noticed a lot of complaints about the same issue on this website.

Car taken to dealer for scrubbing noise from front end.each time told nothing wrong.rust on rotors from rain.noise has progressed louder dealer still says nothing wrong can sand rotors for $139 per axle but sound will return.car has 26,000 miles. Online forum reports same noise for the same make/model.car scrubbing sound while in motion/braking.

When the vehicle is rolling in a slow manner. The tires/brakes/rotors make a rubbing sound. This seems to be a issue with this year of accord. This car was just purchased over a month ago and it was not mentioned! this can be heard on a residential street. It has been taken in and was told it's the tires on this year of honda..

After stopping at a red light, in the city of tucson, arizona, i turned right on a green light and heard a loud bang coming from the front of my car.i did not know what had happened. The car was not going very fast since i was turning from a dead stop.i coasted into the service station on the right side of my car in order to park the car.when i tried to apply the brakes nothing happened.placed my right foot on the brake pedal twice and the brakes did not respond.i coasted into the back of a truck that was parked.two witnesses told me that the driver of a truck had run a red light and hit me.the police were called, but would not make a report.in tucson, az, unless traffic is blocked or someone is hurt the police will not respond to an accident.this took place during daylight around 7:15 am.the brakes worked later at the repair shop.they did not work immediately after the i was hit.

Collision detection system falsely goes off on a regular basis due to opposing traffic. Slams brakes to floor, overriding accelerator- has happened in the middle of an intersection twice and on a two way straightaway with no vehicle in my lane. I've had the car for 1 month and almost been in 3 accidents due to this faulty system which i am now deactivating. I've driven vehicles with these before (ford) and it never went off like this- the system is defective and dangerous.

When driving at a very slow speed i can hear what sounds like rubbing. As the car gets up to speed the sound is still there, but not as noticeable with all of the other noises during driving. It sounds like the brakes are getting stuck or have a slow release. There is no visual damage to the rotor or brake pads, but the wheel noise is still there. I've seen many people have this same issue with no fix available. I don't care if its known to happen because of the tire/rim package, or whatever. Fix the issue! this is a recurring issue that no one seems to be on the hunt for the fix. This is a safety issue.

First issue i noticed with my car was that while driving on a flat road in the middle lane my car will pull slightly to the left.i took the car back to the dealer where i purchased the car, garden state honda in passaic new jersey, and they reported the wheel alignment was within specifications.i drove the car and the issue persisted.next day i took the car to another honda dealer, dch paramus honda in paramus new jersey, and again it was reported by this dealer that the wheel alignment was within specifications.i drove my car after consulting with the dealers but the problem still persist.the second issue happened when the front right tire developed a bubble (2/3/2018. 15691 miles) on the side after hitting a pothole on the highway.i took my car to garden state honda regarding the tire damage and they declined replacement of the tire and increased the tire pressure to 37psi on all four tires which is above the recommended tire pressure of 33psi front tires, 32psi rear tires (i checked the tire pressure in the morning) my car felt stiffer and very uncomfortable driving afterwards.moreover, the front left tire ripped on the side after hitting a pothole while driving between 25-30mph on local streets (3/30/2018).this is when i had to buy two brand new tires yokohama advan sport a/s xl for $174.88 each that replaced the front two damaged tires.recently (8/24/2018. 22442 miles) the front right wheel bent after hitting a pothole while driving between 50-55mph on the highway.

Brand new car that the steering wheel vibrates a ridiculous amount- doesn't feel safe. It occurs while driving and at an idle. Occurs on streets, highways etc. Been to dealer, serviceman [xxx] and their technician at suburban honda verified they felt it..however since there is no fix per honda i am to just live with it???information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

The engine stops sometimes when i drive and the wheel shakes; jolts when i'm waiting on a stop sign.

The electric power steering went out due to a faulty electrical plug. It went out while my wife was driving on highway. This is an ongoing issue that is known to honda. Yet there has not been a recall. I have not been able to drive the car for 4 weeks.

I was making a u turn and the steering wheel lock it self and i couldnt move it any more and it made me crash in to the side walk honda dealer where i bought it took it with a tow truck

While driving my new car on a public road during a right turn into another public road, my power steering failed almost causing a head on collision with on coming traffic. The dealership later informed me that the failure was due to rodent damage to my power steering harness.

Sunroof on accord exploded while driving.the edges of the shards were pointing upwards.dealer is saying that we were hit by something and is not covered under warranty.nothing hit me while driving, heard a loud explosion with glass raining down and the roof and trunk lid are visibly scratched from the glass. I've had the car for only 2 weeks when this occurred.

The vehicle was parked at a gas pump. After filling the gas tank.i started the engine, leaving it in park.i stepped out of the vehicle to check my gas cap and the vehicle started moving backwards quite fast.i ran it down, opened the door, but before i could break it the door was seriously bent.i believe the only explanation is a fault in the transmission where the gear slipped from park to reverse.

There is a noticeable and very annoying wind noise at ear level from either the drivers or the front passengers window. Very annoying for this brand new accord ex. We hope nhsta acts and suggest to issue tsb and fix for all their vehicles.

Rear view camera glitches then went black. Very short intermittent on, but then glitches and screen goes black again. Now the screen stays black when shifting into reverse or try different angles. Clean lens and no obstructions.

Paint is peeling around the rear window

The head restraints in the honda accord (2017) are so uncomfortable and forward-leaning that they cause drivers and passengers to drive in a "chin down" position. This is causing musculoskeletal issues that will likely require attention and treatment in the near and distant future.

Residue under the hood insulator cover is always wet/moist with leftover white residue on a brand new 2017 honda accord. Informed yonkers honda dealership that there could be possible leakage but dealership did not make any thorough inspection for any leakage instead told me it's "normal" verbally however in work order no mention of any inspection for leak even though my work order description clearly states it so.

Takata recalli recently had a car accident on 11/29/17 where the air bags deployed and i cut my face and had 6 stitches and my mother broke her arm and has a cast and might need surgery. I just leased the car 2 months ago.

While i was driving on the highway, i heard a loud noise on the hood. I pulled over to the side and saw a large hole on the sunroof. I thought it was a large rock at first, but then i saw the glass by the broken edges pushed up. It started from inside out. I don't understand why it would exploded on its own but i know for sure there was no truck shooting rocks at my car.

Noticed some rust on the bumper there is a layer of paint and metal that scraped off from rocks driving down the highway. The under metal has heavy rust it has not snowed here in texas so there is no salt on the roads. We have only had rain. I'm afraid there maybe other parts of this new vehicle that are going to rust like this over time.

The wind noise is not at acceptable range.when you accelerate past 45 miles per hour, it is unbearable.the noise is heard by front and rear passengers.purchased this car in 12/9/2016 and have reported it to the dealership on 3 different occasions.

The contact owns a 2017 honda accord. The contact stated that moisture would enter the vehicle from an unknown location and accumulate inside of the undercarriage. The contact stated that the passenger's side floorboard was soaked after a car wash or after driving during inclement weather. The contact also stated that he could hear water swaying back and forth while driving. The contact called hersons honda (15525 frederick rd, rockville, md 20855) where he was informed that the vehicle was out of warranty. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.

My trunk would suddenly open for no reasons on a standing parking lot.

The contact owns a 2017 honda accord. While driving various speeds, the front end of the vehicle made an abnormal noise. The vehicle was taken to hendrick honda bradenton (5515 14th st, west bradenton, fl 34207) where they changed all four tires to correct the failure, but the noise continued. At 14,000 miles later, the dealer replaced the two front tires. The dealer inspected the vehicle later and found that the frame was bent due to faulty welding at the time of manufacturing, which was the cause of the failure. The contact filed a complaint with the manufacturer and they sent an inspector, but was unable to offer any resolution or provide the contact a report of their findings. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 33,974.

2017 honda accord se (special edition) with continental p235/40r19 tires suddenly with 22k miles began to make what seems to be a metal to metal noise at low speeds. Dealer stated tire bead is defective and tends to not seal with 19in factory rims. Apparently lowering the tire pressure from 51psi to 40ps/i makes /problem or noise go away. In my case the noise returned a week after dealership (honda world, westminster, ca) added tire bead sealant to front left driver side tire. I filed a complaint with honda corporate office in torrance, ca on 9/27/19who reported tires were not covered in 36k warranty. This could also be a wheel/rim problem or other suspension problem. The rim and tires apparently are to heavy for car. Car was purchased new with these tires and rims from factory. It is rare that a tire will produce a metal on metal grinding noise. It is my expectation that the ntsb take this issue serious as it presents a serious issue if tire blows up or tire bead deforms. The dealer declined to fix problems and blamed issue on tires. They suggested i purchase another tire. One tire costs approximately $250.00 dollars. I'm in the process of contactingcontinental tire in south carolina to address issue also. Finally as you may be already aware this is a recurrent problem with other 2016-17 honda accord owner.

The contact owns a 2017 honda accord. While driving various speeds and making a left turn, a loud abnormal noise was heard coming from the front driver side wheel area. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (honda of roanoke, 403 premier blvd, roanoke rapids, nc), but the failure could not be duplicated. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 12,000.

2017 honda accord. Consumer writes in regards to hitting a pothole as a result 2 tires were ripped. Consumer is seeking reimbursement for repairs. *ld

The contact owns a 2017 honda accord. The contact stated that there was an abnormal scraping sound coming from the driver's side front tire while driving approximately 10 mph. The vehicle was taken to south motors honda miami located at (16165 s. Dixie hwy, miami, fl 33157, (305) 853-9795 on five separate occasions. The tire was replaced with a new tire however, the issue persisted. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was unknown.

There are three things concerning to me, i'm order of importance: 1) when i drive it's almost as if the transmission is slipping the way the car jerks. The other day my gear identifier kept blinking n/3 back & forth & a error light popped up indicating an emissions error & a transmission error. After turning off the car the gear identifier stopped blinking & just showed d. I took it to honda & they said they received a p076 error which means condemned transmission, but after the redoing the transmission fluid like they had done a few days prior to the issue & reran the code nothing populated on the diagnostics. I was told it could have been a glitch. 2) my navigation screen goes blank at random moments with no warning & when asked just advised no updates for it showing. 3) sometimes my bluetooth will not connect to devices or i can listen to music, but cannot speak with someone on the phone, they cannot hear me & i can't hear them, i have to put my phone on private or speaker.

Tamara recall - sometimes but not all there is hesitation when making left hand turns after stopping at a traffic light. Occasionally this will happen with right hand turns but not as often. I had coggin honda in st augustine check the problem out but they could not determine there was a problem with the car but thought it was a driver error.

There is a loud wind noise on the driver's side of the car. It was noticeable when i drove on the highway above 60 mph. I had it evaluated by the honda care center and they replaced thewindow strip; however, once i accelerate past 40 mph it is even more pronounced tjan before. I returned to the service center and i was told that it was not fixable as it is in the design of the car. It seems highly unlikely to me that engineers would allow a car on the road with known "wind issues" or a design flaw.this is my fourth honda accord and never has this been an issue.

The engine stops sometimes when i drive and the wheel shakes; jolts when i'm waiting on a stop sign.

When you accelerate on the gas the car jumps and you can feel it in the gas pedal. I have taken it to honda and they can not figure it out since no one else has complained about it. Doesn't jump all the time but mostly when i am over 40 mph, sometimes it has jumped as soon as i have taken off

When first drove new car off lot (0 miles) 9/2016 and many times over several months later to (7k mi) 8/2017, car tire pressure light continues to come on while driving in city and highway traffic.dealer claims tires not part of car warranty.replaced tire, light still comes on.distracting and annoying...don't know if tires properlyinflated.uncomfortable seating and head rest (driver's seat).

The back up camera just quit working it's a black screen when you put to reverse

Backup camera has become blurry and upon research online, there are others having this same problem. There was a recall for 2018 honda accord vehicles, however, this recall needs to apply to all honda's with back up cameras because this is dangerous as the owner cannot see something or someone due to how blurry it is.

Sunroof shattered while driving down the highway with no apparent cause.

Back up camera stopped working. It only displays orange lines. When trying to adjust the image the screen displays static like lines and also the lights on display screen goes dim. Unable to get camera to work. Own car one year with a little over 17,000 miles at time i purchased. It only has 29,000 miles on it now. Not having back up camera working can cause dangerous situations.

Backup camera quit working. Black screen when using reverse. Exceedingly common issue with these cars. Dangerous to pedestrians, especiallychildren. Fuse is intact. Wiring is intact. No damage to camera.

My trunk would suddenly open for no reasons on a standing parking lot.

Brand new 2017 honda accord sport 2500 miles. Air started blowing hot. Took it to the honda dealership. I was told that a rock has hit my condenser causing a leak and it would not be covered under warranty. I drive mostly interstate and i do not see how this could have happened so soon unless i hit a boulder or something. I have a 09 accord that i have never had any problems with

The head restraints in the honda accord (2017) are so uncomfortable and forward-leaning that they cause drivers and passengers to drive in a "chin down" position. This is causing musculoskeletal issues that will likely require attention and treatment in the near and distant future.

On 9-12-2019, my wife experienced a sudden acceleration with her 2017 honda accord. She turned into a parking space at a local funeral home, stopped and was about to put the car in park. Suddenly the car accelerated, surging forward over the curb, down the landscaped bank, over another curb, crossed over a 2 lane road, over a curb into a fast food entrance, off the curb, continuing forward and hit the right rear clip of a car in the drive thru, over another curb and finally stopped after hitting a tree. The breaks did not slow or stop the car. The car traveled approximately 150 feet before striking the tree. The car was totaled due to all of the damage underneath. I reported the issue to my honda dealer on 9-13-19. They gave me the number to their national headquarters.honda sent field reps out to examine the car and try to pull any data. On 10/10/19 i received a call from honda stating no issues found. After checking the internet i found over 150 issues with sudden acceleration issues with honda. This reoccurring issue needs to be investigated before it results into someone dying .

Suddenly my car windshield start breaking and mostly it is from 9th gen accord to 10th gen accord. It costed me thousand dollar to fix it and my car only has 52 thousand mileage

Car needed to be jumped started twice. Dealership unable to find causeo of battery not functioning. Towed to dealership. Battery and all other diagnostic tests failed to show any cause of dead battery. First time, car would not start after waiting 20 mins. Second time, car in garage over night would not start.

Loud grinding noise coming from front wheels on 2017 accord sport since almost new.very noticeable at lower speeds.honda dealer insisted grinding noise was from tire/rim combination and not items such as rotors, brakes, and/or wheel bearings, etc..

All four door locks have failed on the vehicle, needing to be replaced. The first door lock - rear passenger - failed in the first two years of owning the car. It was replaced at honda dealership under warranty. The door lock failed again about a year later. The front passenger door lock and rear driver door lock failed thereafter. All three have been replaced. Now driver door lock has failed necessitating a replacement. Additionally, trunk lock has failed which needed to also be replaced.

Automobile will just stop starting. After jump starting, it will operate fine for several months. Then problem will resurface.

The rear camera has stops and starts without warning when i put vehicle in reverse. This happens when sitting still.

The tires that came with the car are not suitable for driving in winter conditions. The tread pattern is designed for dry roads. There are no channels for accumulating slush, snow, etc. To exit the tread to the sides. This causes accumulation in the tread and causes hydroplaning and complete loss of traction. Last winter i almost lost total control of this car while on the expressway coming north from o'hare on i94 in slush. I tried asking the kenosha, wisconsin dealership to put all season radials on the car and they refused, saying if i wanted to pay for different tires i could do that. Selling or leasing a vehicle in a specific geographical area should include tires that are suited for said area. This car is dangerous to drive in snow or any slippery conditions due to the tires.

Not a safety issue ?? something keeps killing the battery on the car .replaced battery twice if you leave for a week the battery is dead. Have a coworker that has the same year and model with same issue.have brought to honda twice only to be told there is nothing wrong??!! therefore, still an ongoing issue presently.

My 2017 honda accord touring has unintended breaking once the gas pedal is released, rather than slowing down to a stop it abruptly applies the breaks on its on without any car in sight (therefore it has nothing to do with safety feature) whether i am driving on a flat even surface road, up or down a hill. In order to prevent or minimize the unexpected breaking i am having to apply the gas to maintain a constant velocity before applying the brakes. Even if i am going 40,30, 25 mphs and i apply the brakes to gradually come to a stop the car is still stopping abruptly on its own with its unannounced braking as it goes from 40 to 30 and so forth and overriding my application off applying the brakes.and to be clear it has nothing to do with the level of pressure applied or not applied on the brakes, etc. There is also a noise that i have picked up each time it brakes. Not to mention that i have also driven a similar year make and model of the new car i purchased and this did not occur, so it's definitely an issue with my car (whether its software related, etc.). In addition to this i have noticed that the rpms when the car is idling while on park or with my foot on the brake is higher than normal (over 750rpms, when it should be no more than 500rpms when idling), which might explain why the car is jolting on its own when i release my foot off the brake without applying the gas. When a car is driven at a speed of 40mps, etc mphs and you release your foot off the gas pedal the car is supposed to decelerate slowly on its own, not go through moments where it applies hard braking then resumes gradual deceleration to then again stop abruptly, which is what this car is constantly doing. Not to mention that even maintaining cruising speed (whether 25, 40 65) in the car doesn't seem to hold the speed at a constant rate, it either decides to speed up or decelerate on its own.

When car is running for an hour or more and then stationary (outside in the driveway) with the cabin air on, the smell of gasoline is coming into the cabin and is very noticeable. I took my baby daughter out for a drive to get her to fall asleep and when i reached home i usually sit with her in the car while it runs, but the smell was so strong that i had to wake her and remove her from the car. Brought the car to the dealer today (01/29/18) who noted no gas leaks and stated that gas gap was not as tight as it could be, but it seems improbable that it would cause that much of a smell in the cabin. Seeing similar complaints for honda cr-v and feel like the dealer could do more exploration, but didn't so they could not do further exploration of the issue. They claimed they could not smell the gasoline but something else and said it was "off gassing of the internal engine compartment chemicals". Both my husband and i could smell gasoline.

The backup camera is flashing and black so i cannot see the view while in reverse. The guidelines still appear and the screen works for all other functions.

Battery died after less than 2 years of use. Needed to replace. No electrical use of the vehicle, pep boys says its a common issue with new hondas. Needed to tow car and dangerously turned off in the middle of the street when the battery died.

Seats are extremely uncomfortable.they are made for a much larger person and push my head forward.i can't find a car with seats that fit me.this could lead to a dangerous drive.

Rear backup camera has failed. There is similar nhtsa campaign 18v629 that covers 2018 honda accord but not 2017 honda accord. There are several users reporting similar issues with the rear backup camera on the honda accord. This is a safety issue.

2017 accord lx* automatic transmission* 3000 milesi have new accord lx and thei drove it on the highway, my wife and i noticed wind noise coming from the driver side door panel. We checked that all the window and doors were firmly shut, but it persisted. Now with the radio off i notice it every time i accelerate to above 40 mph

Rear view camera goes blank or completely dark intermittently when shifting from park (p) to reverse gear (r). Have to stop the car, switch off the ignition, restart the car to make the back up camera work again.

The vehicle was in motion and slid off the road, the airbags did not deploy and a code for the seatbelt was detected.

My 2017 honda accord (v-6) had no electrical power on 9-17-2017.there were 800+ miles on the car. The car's electrical system was dead; no sign of electrical power at all.the car was towed (at honda's expense) to a dealer, not the dealer where i purchased the car.the dealer "cleared battery codes" and then could find notheing wrong with the car.i have not experienced any problems since with the car which now has 1,134 miles on it

Smells like fish when turning on the heat & a/c. The tires are dry rotted. This car is not brand new and must have come from an area where there was flooding. Lithia honda in medford oregon selling cars that are really totaled out cars from floods or hurricane prone areas. This is a danger, as dry rot blow out tires may cause series accidents. Out police officers are also driving on these tires! dry rot tires.

My new accord with a v6 engine likes to engine brake by itself. As a result it will not coast and makes braking unpredictable and very tiring, especially when doing city driving that involves stop signs and red lights. When in medium traffic between 25 and 40 mph you can feel it downshifting every time. When coming to a corner and making the right turn car jerks as it downshifts or upshifts. I have taken this car to a honda dealership twice on 6/23/17 and on 6/26/17 and they felt what i was describing both times and dismissed it as normal. The case manager i complained to also dismissed it as normal while treating my concern as nothing but a typical complaint including when i told him that my neck jerked one time as a result of the rough shifting. There are multiple companies online about this exact same issue for the 9th generation accord and even older models, all with the v6 engine.for reference i had the exact same issue on an 05 accord v6 on which the same dealer felt the issue and said it was because of bad engine mounts. I had those replaced and the issue persisted and when i took it in again they called it normal operation of the transmission at this point (really?!!). When the issue got worse i took it in to a local certified shop in valparaiso in (other times were in chicago) at 59,000 miles at they replaced it with a brand new trans from honda. The issue never went away. My mechanic who drove the old car and test drove the new one called this completely abnormal. This guy has 40 years experience with vehicles ranging from toyota to mercedes and a whole neighborhood who will vouch for how good he is.i am taking the new accord in one more time tomorrow (6/28/17) to the dealer of origin but i am guessing the same answer will arise. Please help me with this. This engine braking is not normal.

There is a noticeable and very annoying wind noise at ear level from either the drivers or the front passengers window. Very annoying for this brand new accord ex. We hope nhsta acts and suggest to issue tsb and fix for all their vehicles.

The wind noise is not at acceptable range.when you accelerate past 45 miles per hour, it is unbearable.the noise is heard by front and rear passengers.purchased this car in 12/9/2016 and have reported it to the dealership on 3 different occasions.

Rear camera has malfunctioned.the dashboard screen shows a black background with horizontal 'vibrating ' lines. 2018 honda accords had a recall for this but to date there has been no recall for the 2017 accords although it seems to be the same problem.

Takata recall, is my current car under recall for the bag inflator?

Tire bead noise on 2017 honda accord sport with continental tires, tire makes alot of noise when driving. Honda refuses to take responsibility and cover it under warranty and does not offer any repair. Theyeven charged me a diagnostics fee.

Tires/wheels makes a grinding noise at low speeds.

Sun roof exploding while driving on interstate

I have a 2017 honda accord, which i purchased new from the dealer. On may 8, 2021, when pulling into my parking space with my foot on the brake, the car suddenly, violently accelerated, jumping the parking curb, crossing the sidewalk, knocking down (1) bush and crashing into another bush when the car finally stopped. I narrowly misses a large tree, the a/c unit in front of my condominium and was very close to running into the exterior wall of my unit. I was pressing the brake the entire time. I immediately put the car in reverse. The bumper needed to be repaired and i was terrified! i researched online to see if anyone else had experienced this sudden acceleration event (sae) and found a list of 35 other drivers who had experienced the identical sae while pulling into a parking space. The other incidents indicated that honda could not find anything wrong with the vehicles, even though this has been a continual complaint. Failure dates were indicated from 2013 - may, 2021 for 2012-2019 honda accords.i notified honda.com of the incident and was assigned a case number but have not received any other communication from them. I made a service appointment at the hondadealer and was told that i had to wait until june 10th when a honda engineer would be available to inspect the vehicle and see if they can identify and correct this potentially lethal automotive defect.

Unintended acceleration complaints : approximately 6 - 7 times, the honda accord increased speed on its own while entering highways or when slowing down to park the vehicle. All of these incidents happened when the steering wheel was either turned to the right or left during the process.the most critical incident occurred on 12/11/18 while i was coming to a stop in a parking spot in front of my condominium.while turning right into the parking spot and applying the brake, the honda violently accelerated on its own. I applied the brakes harder, but had to quickly push the gear shifter into park in order to stop the vehicle.the honda had jumped the concrete curb, drove over the sidewalk and continued across the grass until it stopped about 3 feet in front of the condo building. If i didn't force the transmission into park, the vehicle would have collided with the building.i was able to calm down, restart the car and put the honda in reverse to back up over the same curb into the parking space. I contacted davis honda and they sent a tow truck to transport it for service.as of this date, davis honda will be towing the honda accord back to my address in mt. Laurel, nj.the service department could not duplicate any of the incidents, so i contacted honda america and opened up a case.after numerous calls to corporate, they indicated no issues were found with his 2017 honda accord and i had to take the car back.i notified my car insurance company to see if they could assist me with this issue, no help yet. A lemon law attorney in nj advised i need 3 service checks, i only have 2 so far. I guess i have to crash before honda will fix it. Accord only has 3600 miles on it.. 3 year lease with 15 months to go.

The contact owned a 2017 honda accord. While attempting to park the vehicle, it unintentionally accelerated at an unknown speed without warning and crashed into a tree. The air bags did not deploy. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to the dealer (conicelli honda, 1100 ridge pike, conshohocken, pa 19428) where the failure could not be diagnosed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. State farm insurance stated that the vehicle was destroyed and could not be repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 9,800.

The contact owns a 2017 honda accord. The contact stated that after stopping at a stop sign and making a right turn, the vehicle immediately experienced unintended acceleration and veered to the right before crashing into a telephone pole. During the crash, the driver sustained a head and hand injury which required medical treatment. A police report was taken at the scene and the vehicle was towed away.

The contact owns a 2017 honda accord. While pulling into a parking space with the brake pedal depressed, the vehicle suddenly accelerated forward and crashed into a building. The driver sustained an injured right wrist and shoulder, which did not require medical attention. The vehicle was towed to germain honda (3295 pine ridge rd, naples, fl), but the cause of the failure was not determined. A manufacturer's representative inspected the vehicle and the owner's claim was denied. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 12,000.

Backup camera dropped working.

Driver's side mirror with convex outer edge is dangerous, especially in highway driving. It's very difficult to assess which lane oncomingtraffic is in. The design makes lane changing very uneasy for the driver.i have had several close calls because of this problem during the 3 months i have owned this vehicle.

My car was stationary parked in the garage. I went out to go to work and a crack in the windshield ran from the right side across and down the windshield. No marks of impact and nothing fell on it in the garage.if you search online many people have had this same problem with 2017-2020 honda accords. I think it is a design flaw that creates stress on the edge of the windshield. This could be dangerous if it happened while you're going at a high speed.

Closed sunroof had glass violently shatter while driving on highway at 65 mph. No objects hit the vehicle.weather was light rain and 70 degrees.

Takata recall tire making noise on rim. Loss of air pressure after a few days. Tire seems not to have a good seat in rim. 19 factory honda sport wheel on continental tires. Concerned that this could causea loss in control if tire slips off the wheel.

The contact owns a 2017 honda accord. The contact stated that the vehicle was purchased brand new. The contact stated that the vehicle was driving unevenly. The contact checked the tires, which constantly had to be refilled with air. The contact noticed that the tires were installed backwards. The contact stated that the tires were directional tires, which were installed on the vehicle at the time of purchase. Russell honda(6100 landers rd, north little rock, ar 72117, (501) 835-8996) inspected the tires and stated that there was no difference in how the tires were installed. The dealer performed a multi-point inspection on the driver's side tires and stated that they were fine. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 43,546.

There is a loud noise that comes from the tires as you are driving. Honda stated they are aware of the issue and it is associated with the beading of the tire. They refuse to correct the issue, which is a safety issue, especially if something happens to the tire while driving freeway speeds.

Loud grinding noise coming from front wheels on 2017 accord sport since almost new.very noticeable at lower speeds.honda dealer insisted grinding noise was from tire/rim combination and not items such as rotors, brakes, and/or wheel bearings, etc..

Wheels make rubbing/grinding noise. It's clear when drive at slow speed and next to a wall. It sounds like two metal parts rubbing/touching together.

I got a flat tire in such a way that the "fix-it" kit that is supposed to replace a spare could not work. It is unethical to sell a car without adequate flat tire remediation

I purchase my honda accord sport in september of 2017. Today october 28th 2017 will driving on my local street less than 40 miles per hour i was notified that my tire pressure was low. I pulled off to the side of the road to find a crack in my side tire wall. My vehicle has less than 1,300 miles on it the tread on the tire is fully intact. I was greatly concerned as this is a new vehicle as well as the tires were manufactured this year based on the information provided on the tire for the tire to be cracked .i believe this is a manufacturer defect that should be addressed before any serious bodily injury is caused to anyone . When i contacted my service department where i purchased the vehicle i was advised that tires are not under warranty when purchasing the vehicle and they made the presumption that i hit something or ran something over . I advised the service employee that i did not hit or run anything over my rim and vehicle have no damage to indicate that anything was hit or run over to cause the cracking not a slice but a crack in the tire. There is a loud rubbing noise that comes from the front wheels during a drive at low speeds . Also i can feel the grinding on the brake pedal and can hear the thumping noise when the car comes to a stop. I am concerned for my safety even more so now because i've noticed a lot of complaints about the same issue on this website.i have 12,000 miles on the car and have gone to my local honda dealership to have every scheduled maintenance service. A dealer said that honda was aware of the issue and it is associated with the beading of the tire. They say no fix this time and refuse to correct the issue, which is a safety issue. Wheels are 19 " factory original , and tires are factory original continental contiprocontact.

Hello, my name is [xxx] my husband and i purchased a new 2017 honda accord sport special edition that is equipped with 19 inch rims and continental tires in march of 2017 with 5 miles on the vehicle. The tires are rubbing part of the suspension creating friction that could result in failure of side wall thus having a blow out. This issue is putting my family and many other lives at risk. I have made honda aware of this issue numerous times at the honda world dealership located on hurstbourne lane in louisville ky.after numerous visits to the service department, additional air was pumped in the tire and the tires were rotated. Which solves nothing... Which is a bandaid.if you search youtube or the web, you will find that i am not the only consumer whom has made honda aware of this issue or is having this same issue. These other consumers who are suffering with this same potential disaster could put honda on the hook for severe problems. The service manager at honda world directed me to call honda corporate and while speaking with a customer service representative, i asked to speak to a supervisor. The representative advised that a manager nor a "higher up" was available for me to speak with. A few days later, i received a voicemail from case manager, [xxx] at honda who informed me they are aware of the issue with the tire brand and rim combination. At this time, my request for four different brand tires that will not impact my suspension on my vehicle was denied. She informed me that if i want to purchase four new tires, i can do so. Clearly putting the defect back in the consumers lap to fix. I suppose if we start having blow outs on honda accord and fatalities start to rise due to this known issue, honda might think it is cost effective to fix the known issue. Tire bead noise on 2017 honda accord sport with continental tires, tire makes alot of noise when driving. Honda refuses to take responsibility and cover it under warranty and does not offer any repair. Theyeven charged me a diagnostics fee.

The contact owns a 2017 honda accord. While driving approximately 25 mph, the tires made a rubbing noise. The contact took the vehicle to team honda (located at 6363 siegen ln, baton rouge, la 70809, 855-832-3530) where it was diagnosed that the tires were rubbing against the wheel well of the vehicle. The contact was informed that the failure only occurred with the accord sport models with the 19 inch wheels. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and provided case number: 09019617. The case was closed due to the manufacturer not providing a remedy. The approximate failure mileage was 100.

When driving at speeds below 35mph, there is a scraping noise. I have had it to two honda dealers and they both say it is the tire bead making a scraping noise. They say it is normal for a 2017 accord with the sport package that has the 19" factory wheels to make this noise. This has been occurring since 15,000 miles and corporate says there is nothing that they can do.

There is a loud scrapping sound coming from the tire bead between the rim and tire. I have continental tires with 19" sport rims. I had it brought to a honda dealer 3-4 times before they finally told me honda has not solutions to the issue. They offered give me a discount to get another set of tires. They were very silent on trying to find a fix or compensate completely for the issue. They also didn't advise if the issue was hazardous or safe to drive with the noise.

The front right wheel/tire has a grinding noise.sounds like bad wheel bearing.mainly heard at low speeds but is getting louder over time.honda says it is the continental tires.tire shop put different wheels and tires on the car and the noise did not go away.the noise does not follow the tires, tire shop spin balances the tires on the car.they said the front left wheel is making a roaring grinding noise.this is with the wheeland tire off the ground.how can tires make a metal grinding noise.honda dealerships will not fix the problem

2500 miles on my accord touring...tpms light keeps coming on...went last week9/15/17 to ray laks honda in orchard park ny...told service that my light keeps coming on,so they checked air pressures and all 4 tires were low...light went off after air was added..today 9/19/17 was driving car back from shopping and guess what?? the light went off again...brand new car and having issues already

I have a noisy sound coming from the wheel/tire when the car is running, honda said its from the tire and we don't cover this, i contacted the tire company (continental), they told me that they are aware of this problem and from honda wheels not from the tire, neither honda or continental tire wanted to fix the problem. I'm not sure how to fix this problem. I have a honda complain case # upon request.

In jan of this year, i got a flat tire which could not be repaired. It was on a weekend and the dealership was closed. I was forced to buy a replacement tire of a different brand, but the same size etc. Because i had to travel too far before monday and the spare would not be safe. In approx. One month my tpms light came on and i stopped to put air in the tire. The light would not go off. I later went to the tire company from which i purchased the tire and they showed me how to reset it. After only 3 or 4 miles, the light came back on. I called the service center and told them what happened. The service manager corroborated what the tire company had told me and that was that the new system on honda cars measured, "rotations" and not "actual tire pressure." so, the off-brand i was forced to buy was incompatible with the honda sensor system and that it was a "flaw." the tpms monitor problem light continues to come on each time i start the car. I asked him how i could know if my tires were really low and he said i would have to manually check them and that there is no way to fix it!i took my car in and asked them to check the tire system. The service person spoke with me about the tire light and said that i had purchased a non-honda recommended tire and it was my fault.i called honda corp and at first they said they would call hoehn honda to work with me for a fix. But i received no call. Later i spoke with a honda corp lady who said that honda did not sell the car and that the dealer was responsible! two versions of the solution. I called another dealer who said it was my fault and that the car info recommends the dealer brand and that they be bought in pairs of two !really? so, i don't have a broken tire monitoring system that i paid for and this is a safety issue since i will not know if my tires are flat. And the tbms light is always on! help

There is a rubbing noise that comes from the 19' wheel during a drive at low speeds . It developed at about 13,000 miles and progresses . Honda stated they are aware of the issue and it is associated with the beading of the tire. A local honda dealerclaims that applied a temporary fix per ats 180602 version 1 which did not correct the problem. The rubbing noise indicates that there is a relative movement of assembled parts (rim and tire)which will lead to a failure of oneof them. In case of wheel this could be an accident.

I have been informed by the honda dealership that the factory continental tires placed on by honda, have a tread pattern that at low speeds makes the small noise i am hearing because it is loose from the wheel. That is a major safety concern, and this occurs when the vehicle is moving at a slow rate of speed you can hear a grinding from the wheels that is actually the tire. This problem needs to be addressed especially when honda has known about it.

Took car to honda dealer due to a grinding noise that's heard coming from my wheels when driving slowly. After looking at the car, the honda tech confirmed that it's the continental tires/honda sport model 19" wheel combo that's the issue. The bead on the factory tires used creates a rubbing sound that sounds like brakes grinding on the rotors. They said they have received many complaints about this since this model came out. I find it ridiculous that i was told this was ok and a known issue but nothing is being done about it. My lease ends soon and i was planning on buying the car but now probably not. I've been a honda driver for over 25 years...may have to move over to toyota.

I have a continuous sound in my driverside front tire it has been going on since i purchase the car they told me it was something they can fix but it only stop the sound for a little while so i have a brand new car that has a whopping sound in it as i go down the road they told me it was because of the rim but it was totally safe i do not understand the process of getting it fixed because they said i would have to wait until they recall it's done before they can fix the problem i do not think it's fair that i have bought a brand new car that has a issue and no one is concerned about fixing.

In the spring or early summer of 2019, at about the 24,000-mile mark (car has about 27,000 now) the stock tires/wheels on my 2017 accord sport began making a rubbing noise the frequency of which increases/decreases proportional to vehicle speed. One dealer analyzed the sound...rotated the wheels... And could not resolve the problem. They did, however, tell me that honda knows of the problem, and that it's not dangerous, and that, no, they would not swap out the tires or wheels. At another nearby dealer (where i bought the car in mid-march 2017) the service rep asked "are your tires continental?" i answered affirmative, and he echoed what the first dealer told me. Yep, we know all about it... It's not dangerous... But we won't help you.neither dealer would replace the tires/wheels. I searched online and found lots of websites with tons of people across the country upset by the exact same thing--rubbing sounds coming from the wheels/tires of their 2017 honda accord sport, and getting no resolution from honda or the dealers.i am a long-time honda owner. Customers don't get more loyal than us. And i'm so perplexed why honda won't do the right thing. What can i do?

When first drove new car off lot (0 miles) 9/2016 and many times over several months later to (7k mi) 8/2017, car tire pressure light continues to come on while driving in city and highway traffic.dealer claims tires not part of car warranty.replaced tire, light still comes on.distracting and annoying...don't know if tires properlyinflated.uncomfortable seating and head rest (driver's seat).

I bought honda accord sport. Almost every month i have to buy a new tire. Tire goes flat as hit the path hole even in slow motion. It's really dangerous and life threat specially in highway and could cause serious accident. It's happened 3 times with me on highway but lucky there were no traffic behind me. Once in belt park way in brooklyn, staten island highway 278 and fdr manhattan, and many times in street specially in rainy day.

Wheel bearings squeek noise iwhen turning front left wheel and squeak noisepulling off and driving experiencing and there is a youtube video about this matter.honda dealership could not diagnose

While driving on a low speed, the front tires make a grinding noise. I have taken this in to the dealer twice and they stated it is a known issue with 2017 honda accord sport due to the tires not being the correct versions for this vehicle. The tires on my vehicle are the stock tires. Honda sold me a vehicle with the incorrect tires? i asked the dealership for the correct tires, and no tire will fix this issue. The rim and size since it is special 19 inches for this model, all 2017 honda accord sport have this same exact issue with no resolution. Honda knows this is an issue and no resolution to fix this. Grinding noise is loud especially when you drive through a neighborhood.
