Was hit on my passenger side, the only bags that went off were on the passengers side and they did not inflate. Was driving on a street when anotherauto lost control and wiped out the side of my car.
Got hit on front driver side in a crash and passenger side airbag went off, not the driver side.
Your brakes failed and air bags too
I purchased a honda accord sport sedan 2016 on june 22, 2016. I was in a car accident on september 29, 2016 and the air bag deployed and i received a second degree burn to my left hand and it burned through my left sleeve on my zip up sweater.
On two different occasions i had to take my 2016 honda accord for a "srs " air bag (p2801 code) total interalfailure. Dealership replaced unit and cleared dtcs. Seat belts were buckled but system would not register as being buckled.pretty scary stuff considering this is my family car an have children within car everyday..
Takata recallwas aggressively injured by the air bag i feel that should not of happened and i feel it also should not of gone off the accident was minor
Months ago i was in a car accident because an air bag error popped up on my screen and by the time i looked up i hit another vehicle. There is always something wrong with this car and i haven't even had it for a full 3 years
Takata recall

Thankfully was right near shoulder and not going to fast other wise i wouldn't have been able to control car and may have hit another car tree or wall.car was melted and fire dept came and put it out.
When i get in my car sometimes to start it the battery is dead i have taking it to autozone so they can run test with there computer and everything comes out perfect if i'm not mistaken i think the battery negative voltage sensor is damaged
The contact owns a 2016 honda accord. The contact stated that he had difficulty with the push start feature on the vehicle. When the button was pushed, all the warning indicators would illuminate and the vehicle made a screeching sound. The contact had to push the button several times before the vehicle would actually engage and start. The contact spoke with lester raines honda (5102 maccorkle ave sw, south charleston, wv 25309, 304-768-1251) and was informed that there were no recalls on the vehicle. The contact was provided a cost estimate for the repairs. The manufacturer was also notified of the failure and provided the same information as the dealer. The manufacturer also informed the contact that his vehicle was out of warranty. The manufacturer offered no further assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 36,000.
The led strip of light around my headlight on drivers side is partially blown. That is always a distraction to oncoming cars
#1 issueon sep 23 2017 we were going down an incline, in the city, applying the brakes and going about 25mph when the engine accelerated. We were approaching a stop sign at a busy intersection. He applied the brakes harder but the car would not stop. After the initial shock my husband thought to put it into neutral and we were able to stop. We took our car into our honda dealer. They could not duplicate the problem so they stated the car did not have a problem. Honda had our car for 2 weeks and drove 54miles without incident.we contacted american honda and got a case number.they called us to tell us they had contacted our honda dealer and they agreed nothing was found so our car did not have a problem.#2 issuethe first week after we purchased our honda in january 2016 the compass went out. Honda service put in a new sending unit. In sep 2017 the compass and fuel mpg readout on the instrument panel went blank. This happened along with theacceleration problem that we stated above..we took it into for repair and they could not duplicate the issue so they would not do any replacement or repair. Then, on oct 24th the compass and the radio stopped working.the radio came back on within aminute, but the compass did not work accurately again for several hours. We have send an email to the service manager and are waiting for a reply.our car has 16,000 miles on it..
The contact owns a 2016 honda accord. The contact stated that the battery charge warning indicator illuminated as soon as the vehicle was started. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who determined that the battery charge sensor was damaged and needed replacement. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was advised that the vin was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 17v418000 (electrical system). The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 77,000.
Battery has been replaced twice in 1 year
Air coming through vents is very low even if set a max air flow.i have a 2016 honda accord with 40,000 miles.for some time we noticed that air conditioner does not flow much air.it seems that ac blower is just too weak. My old 2003 corolla has much more ac blower power.something is wrong. I change the ac filter as needed and with frequency.air is cold just not enough air coming through vents.
I just replace the battery for the 3rd time on 9/19/2020. This is a problem for a car 4 years old
Second time on the last four days that my car will not start. I took it in for service at eh honda autonation in costa mesa ca and they told me that everything checked out fine. I was working in los angeles four days later and once again the car wouldn't start. This is after driving a few short distances and then the car just wont turn over. I have had to have the car jumped twice in the last four days. This is a problem because of where i work and i cannot let my wife drive the car due to not having the confidence that the car will start, especially if she has the kids with her. I will be taking it in again on monday and see what they have to say. I have read that there are parts dealing with the battery that can not only cause starting issues, but shorts in the electrical system. I understand that problems occur, but the fact that this is the second time in four days i starting to wonder if honda is now selling vehicles off their name and not their quality. Not willing to give up on them just yet, but it will depend on what they do to fix this issue.
There is times when i try to turn on the vehicle and it makes a grinding noise and the vehicle doesn't start.
My car keeps losing all power while im driving and then turns on.
I had to replace the battery within the first year of me owning the vehicle. About 6 months ago i started having the same issue where my battery was dying. In addition to that my.car started making a funny noise. Turns out i needed my tensioner/alternatorpulley replaced and that is when they noticed that the alternator was not charging correctly. It was measuring at 11 volts instead of the normal 14v. I had to have it replaced along with my belt tensioner. I spent 600 and then i learned that there was a recall on hondas for the same issue but my car was not included in the list. I don't see why not when it was almost the identical issue. This is the first car i have ever bought and i bought a honda because of its reputation for dependability. The alternator should not have given out within the first three years of owning the vehicle.
I leased a new 2016 accord sport in march 2016. I just recently purchased it out of the 3 year lease.in the 2nd year of lease (12/08/2017) i was at the gas station with the car shut off, tried to start it and it wouldn't start. Battery wasn't working. (original honda battery still in it). The car was at 80k miles. Tried to jump start and it wouldn't start. Called to have it towed home, tow driver tested the battery and jumped it and it started but was having issues so he said to get it home. I replaced the battery immediately that night. (new store bought battery) no issues until now (april 2019). Was driving last night in the rain and all 4 of my dash lights came on at the same time (anti-lock break-abs, tire pressure-tpms, traction control, electric power steering-eps). I have associated this issue with several dealers and it has been linked to the battery causing these sensors to trip as they are not getting enough power. Hundreds of complaints for this same issue! once the battery is replaced, the problem goes away. I have owned this car now for 3 years exactly and this will be the 3rd battery i have had to put in this car, but this vin is not covered under the battery recall? the battery recall (17v418000) is for water getting into the battery case and causing shorts and possibilities for electrical fires. Something on this vin model is having severe battery issues, possibly related to the water with last nights incident, but 3 batteries in 3 years is unacceptable.this is a $27,000 vehicle. All battery issues need to be reviewed for recall issues.
A year after having the vehicle i had to get a new transmission on 5/2017. After the the first repair i started to have issue with my dash board lights and gear indicator wouldscrambled on and off. Three months later i had my vehicle wouldn't start and i was told i needed a new battery. 8/19/2018 the vehicle broke down again. Its currently at the shop and they are saying its the transmission. Each time the vehicle broke down i was traveling on the interstate when the vehicle started to shift gears.
Cell phone no longer works connected to the control panel when vehicle is in motion or stationary.when calls are coming in and answered, it disconnects.
About a month ago i began having intermittent starting issues. I turn the key to start and it may or may not activate the starter. Now, the issue has worsened to the point it may start on the first attempt, or require 10 or more attempts before power to the starter is achieved. Being a retired mechanic it acts like there is a loose wire or ground at the starter. Talking with honda, my warrenty has expired (3 year/36,000 mile) and they require over $100 to diagnosis the issue. Researhing this issue on the internet i have found several honda owners with the exact issue. They all state that honda corrected the issue by replacing the starter. I purchased my honda with an understanding of it to be a reliable vehicle. Now, 56,000 miles later (majority are highway miles)i need to replace the starter? the fact is, i have maintained fleets of vehicles, gas and diesel, and i find the need to replace the starter premature and ludicrous! with all the complaints i have read, there is no reason that there is not and has not been a honda starter recall/good faith warranty for what i would claim to become prematuraly defective. Further more, in my opinion this electrical issue could evolve into a fire hazard.
The contact owns a 2016 honda accord. The contact stated at start-up he heard an abnormal noise coming from the engine. The contact stated that the key was removed from the ignition however, the engine remained running. The contact had the vehicle towed to depaula chevrolet (785 central ave, albany, ny 12206) where a diagnostic test was performed however, the mechanic was unable to retrieve a fault code. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 76,000.
Purchased my coupe in november 2016 brand new. I have less than 8600 miles on it. The other night my car went into complete shutdown, completely dead. I was told it could be the main fuse. Why wouldthe main fuse blow on brand new car? that very dangerous while driving. Luckily i was pulling into my mother's driveway and not on the highway or in traffic.
Concerning the battery, i was parked in a parking stall and when i try to start my car to leave it would not start i had to call a tow truck to give me a jump. No lights or anything was left on i had turn my car completely off and then i tried to start it and it would not start i was only there like long enough to order my food and then to leave so maybe 20 minutes in my car would not start ,due to the battery.concerning the fuel system i was at a signal had my foot on the break and the car exceller rated on its own if i would not have my foot on the break i felt like it would've hit the car in front of me the whole car moved i had a passenger with me and they identify the same thing i talked took my car to the dealer i told them what had happened and they told me just don't park too close behind a car that was their response to me.i was stationary behind a vehicle at a signal waiting for the signal to turn green so i could go that's when this happen on a regular street
Daytime running light is out.
Since i got the car in 2016 the radio has been freezing then going completely black while driving. My battery has died multiple times without leaving anything on or open. I'm currently sitting in the parking lot after just starting my car and moving it to another parking spot, came back to start my car and go home and the battery was faintly trying to start and then completely died. My car won't start and the radio screen is white. Now is making a clicking sound without touching anything.
My 2016 honda accord sedan sport driving running light (drl) has burned out. I have 40,000 miles and hionda is telling me th is that it ccanot be replaced and ask for ne to pay $1,200 to replace this problem.
The driving lights on the drivers side have burned out
Vehicle would not start possibly due to alternator or battery malfunction after being purchased for one year.
Just for the daytime bulb we need to replace the whole headlight unit which will cost us $550 to $850. Its such a bad engineering from honda.
!.car seat is unstable in back seat no matter where you place it. 2.i have 40,450 miles on my 2016 accord sedan and have spent $300 already only for my a/c to not work.it keeps blowing the relay switch out.now they're telling me i need a new clutch and it will be almost $1400; my display will change and my radio goes off, my doors may or may not lock/unlock.i believe it stems from the electrical problems with the battery recall (which i had repaired, but battery keeps corroding) leaking moisture into the engine.
Both my accords daytime running lights burned out after 30,000 miles. It is apparently not fixable so to fix this would be a whole new headlight ? every accord i see on the road now has the drls burned out.. Really annoying and a safety hazard as almost all newer vehicles come standard with them and not burned out already.. And coincidentally around the time the warranty runs out. Very disappointing please recall asap. Thanks
The contact owned a 2016 honda accord. While driving 45 mph, multiple indicators illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact stated that sparks appeared from the front and rear of the vehicle. The contact pulled over, exited the vehicle, and shortly after, the vehicle caught on fire. A police report was filed. The passenger of the vehicle sustained a foot injury that required medical attention. The vehicle was destroyed. The dealer was contacted. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 5,000.
My battery has a shortage-2016 with less than 40,000 milesthis is clearly a defect
My backup camera has started to do exactly what the newer models are doing and not working when i put it into reverse. Im now looking into if it is covered under warranty or not which i doubt because it is now over 4 years old. The only thing my backup camera displays is the green lines but no picture. I would very much like help from honda as it only has 37000 miles on it
Battery has been replaced 3 times and constantly drains despite turning off automatic lights and air conditioning to utilize less battery power. Turning over will choke at times and start but about every time that i take my car in for an oil change the battery power tests low.
Ignition key has been hard to insert and start the car since we've had it. Had 12k miles on it when purchased. Key could not be removed except by a locksmith and could not start the car. Ignition thinks a key is still in it even though it has been removed. Taking it to the dealer for replacement.
Multiple issues with car not starting even with a new batter. Will have to jump the car off each time i drive. Car stalling when i drive it.
2016 accord sport had both led light strips go out. I have witnessed this on almost every one of that years model. I have also seen hundreds of complaints online and some were even during lease mileage! this is absolutely ridiculous that these daytime running lights are not under recall. Honda will not keep that continued customer loyalty and return from customers with issues like this. I leased this vehicle at a purchase cost of $27,000! it is almost $1000 each to replace these strips as the entire light housing assembly has to be replaced to fix just this part of the lights? this is a huge design flaw on honda's part! and to expect your customers to foot the bill for these repairs is unacceptable. This is a manufacturers design flaw because these lights do not have the option of being turned off with the regular lights. These are forced to run nonstop for the life of the vehicle. Honda's design engineers have created an expensive flaw that should be covered under recall!!!we are all reconsidering whether that honda quality is living up to its name anymore. I am very disappointed as i just purchased this vehicle out of lease (3 years later) and still have a $26k vehicle with no working daytime running lights because i refuse to sink $2k in replacing a manufacturers design flaw. This should be considered a manufacturers defect on all accounts and replaced by honda. How many customers will continue to be returning customers if they have to replace $2k in lights every couple thousand miles? spend $2 k then turn around and do it multiple times for the life of the vehicle?? no thanks. Mine went out during year 2 (2017). Honda needs to address this issue asap. Very unhappy that this has not been a recall yet.
My 2016 honda accord is failing start.i started my car is and it is making grinding noise and want start. I had this problem before and had to replace the starter in 2019. I have not warning on my dashboard when trying to start my car.i just want crank, replacing a starter every 2 years is unacceptable.i research this issue and this is an issue for ignition switch thousand of people is having the same issue.
Purchased 2016 accord touring in may 2016. In april 2017 the car would not start - appeared to be a battery issue. Had the honda roadside service come to the house, they jump started it, told to let it run/drive it for 1/2 hour. Did that. Went shopping and when i tried to start it again electronics went crazy, wipers went on their own and the stop button would not turn off the car. Had it jumped again by honda roadside. Took it to the dealer, they replaced the battery - said it had a bad cell in it, said there were no tech svc bulletins on the car and said there were 100's of ground wires in this car that may cause a problem w/battery premature failure.
Last night my dashboard lost electricity for about 2 seconds and my engine stalled. I lost power steering control. After 2 seconds, electrical components of the dashboard returned to normal, as did the power steering and engine, and everything was fine. This morning, i drove on a street & smoke entered the cabin area of the car & i pulled over immediately. Opened the hood and the battery (positive terminal) was fully engulfed in flames. A gentleman put out the fire with water from the gas station. My battery is 1/4 melted, due to the fire. Other plastic parts of the engine are also slightly melted. I called gardena honda (in los angeles ca) and they told me my 2016 honda accord was not part of the battery sensor recall but the service person told me that she had seen my email and forwarded it to her supervisor, and that she would speak to him to see what they could do. She told me that her supervisor said to immediately bring it into the gardena, ca honda dealership. Upon arrival the service people told me they would definitely be charging me at least $160 for a diagnosis. I then explained to them that i was misled, as when i initially called i was told that she would check to see what they could do and that she would call me back. At no time did she say i would be charged for anything. Instead, she mislead me by saying she had spoken to her supervisor and that he said to bring it in immediately. They mislead me, wasted my time, and are putting people's lives in danger as although my vehicle (2016 honda accord with vin is apparently not part of the recall, my car's battery caught fire and i am sure other people's car's will also catch fire. The recall should be expanded beyond the current list. *dt the consumer stated a metal piece intended to hold the battery in place loosened and came in contact with the positive terminal of the battery causing the failure.
Both rear door lock actuators have failed within for 20k miles of ownership. Dealership has replaced both actuators under warranty.
Clock resets every time i turn car off. Mileage performance per tank of gas resets also.
I purchase a 2016 honda accord on 10/29/2016 and since i've had major problems with the electrical system as well as the lighting and the braking system!!! 1 wk after purchasing this can all the font lights went out on the car as well as the phone system with the connection to the blutooth has a shortage the only issue repaired was the lighting on the front headlights the inside lights was never repaired !!! also the braking system was not stopping as should have been properly stopping on instant stop!!! i have made sudden stops which lead me to the braking system locking up and the car either spiraling out of control on the brakes locking up and sliding a complete car length before coming to a complete stop!!!until this on day on 4/07/17 attempting. To make a completesudden stop only leaving me sliding a car length plus smashing into the back of a pick up truck,,, with the front end of this 2016 honda accord possibly total,,, i call the honda association speaking to [xxx] and due to insurance not paying honda refused to send this inspectors out ,,, and proceeding to inform me that they have sent a notice out!!! the car is only 4 moths old and has a new owner so how is is possible that i received a notice??? [xxx] refused to inform me of the type of notice sent as well as what the notice was for as well as what address etc due to no insurance claim !!! i trusted the interfaith of hona and that this company would not have this type of unsafe vehicle traveling on anybodys highways with unsafe brakes endangering live of me and others,,,, i. An he contacted for more information at [xxx]!!! i am asking that my car. E inspected and the honda be felt with accordingly,,, thanksinformation redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).
For more than a year, my car has been having issues starting up. It rarely starts on the first attempt. It usually starts on the second attempt. There are times when it takes multiple attempts to start. I have planned on having the starter replaced when i have the timing belt replaced in a few months. However, today i discovered this site and realized many others have the same issue. Have there been resolutions for anyone? if so, what was the resolution?
Back up camera doesn't work..seems years prior to and after 2016. Needs to be recalled
Driver sideled strip went out around 33k partially, dealership wants to charge 1k to fix it, stating it will need an entire need headlight. Led strips should last longer than 2 1/2, 33k miles.
I am unable to start my car after it sits for ten days to two weeks or more. The battery goes dead and my family and i are left potentially stranded. My wife and i travel frequently and return to a car that won't start due to a parasitic draw on the battery. This is a safety issue as you can imagine flying home, taking the bus to the parking lot at the airport at 11:00 pm, going to your car and finding a dead battery which puts our safety in peril. I took my car to oneil honda in overland park, kansas. They charged the battery and checked it out and told me that everything is fine. I asked about why the battery went dead and they said that this is now normal with the new honda accords due to the parasitic draw on the battery when the car isn't running which ultimately drains the battery to a point where it won't start. Having been an auto mechanic in my younger days i couldn't believe my ears. I called another honda dealer's service department in the kansas city area and received the same comment. Then i phoned the honda dealership in san antonio where i purchased the vehicle and again, was provided the same information.... "this is now what i can expect on my new accord, if it sits for ten days or two weeks then the battery will die". The parasitic draw on the battery is putting my family and i in an unsafe situation and i asked that you intervene. I tried to address this with honda america but was not successful with the agent on the phone. I even asked her to pick a dealer in san antonio, any dealer, get their service manager on the phone with us and lets see if he / she gives us a similar response regarding the parasitic draw. She refused. Now i feel that i need your help. I have had this problem since last fall and it has occurred on several occasions. I will indicate an approximate date of my initial visit / discussion with the first honda dealer.
Car will not start after sitting in the parking lot for 10 mins when nothing turned on.this is the 2nd time in 6 months. The first incident was in december 2017 in bay area ca, and now in pleasanton ca with temp about 60 degrees outsider.
A recall was issued regarding the battery management sensor and battery is out at 46k miles. How do we know that the battery management sensor didn't take out the battery also since is it managing the battery? also, half of the daytime running lights on the driver side headlight decide to go out too. If you web search these issues, these are common issue for the honda accord. I guess honda is only known to be reliable until the warranty period is over.
When i drive my car. It suddenly jumps. It seems like its the transmission problem. It happens at low speed as well as high speed. I have done everything possible to keep my car maintained. Also its battery is dying after having it for 3 years. I have to jump the car at random times because the car would not start.
When starting the vehicle, first time for the day, top and bottom center display touch screens went black and there is no functionality of any of the associated functions: no navigation, no blue tooth, no back-up camera, no side view camera when turning. This is a repeated issue.does not reset.
August 2018 battery in car stopped working. Stationary car would not start. Replaced battery and in november 2019 battery stopped working again. Car wont start. November 2019 problems with gas. When pushing the gas on residential street it stops, wont go further.
The contact owns a 2016 honda accord. The contact stated that the lane departure system would be deactivated, but would independently reactive while driving above 65 mph. The failure occurred at least three times. The contact also mentioned that the gauges and warning indicators would flicker on the instrument panel. Failure milage was 10,000.
Since the car was purchased in march 2016 has been having electrical issues, almost everyday no start condition. Needs to be jumped everyday. Had the dash board fuse blown within 2 months of purchase of the car, had battery replaced within 9 months of purchase and had alternator tested. Since the transmission recall rough idle on drive and rpms lower then what normally were. No recall as oer vin for battery sensor but theres some serious issue car wants to stall while driving sometimes. Someting seriously wrong. Randomly steering light, traction control, brake lighy comes on and goes off
If i have the car light on auto and turn off the car the engine still runs and it does not turn off until i turn of the auto switch for the headlights and the indicator comes on randomly and i don't feel safe in this car
Driver side door and driver side passenger door no longer lock with automatically. They require manual lock or key to lock properly. I bought my car in 2016 and by the end of 2017 i had to get my driver side passenger fixed under warranty. In early 2018 i started having problems again with my doors not locking. Be the end of 2018 both driver door and driver aide passenger door do not lock. This has been a constant problem.
2016 honda accord with about 40,000 miles.the instrument panel or display panel often locks after having iphone connected and using airplay.have to disconnect iphone and at times even turn off car to reset the instrument panel display.this is a hassle and if using maps can be inconvenient while driving.
Honda accord 2016 eps system lock power sterling wheel during drive. Lucky, i can slow down and shut off the engine to avoid accident. This vehicle just 34600 miles and day purchase just expired 30 days. Honda should fix this issued more than warranty and avoid people in danger with this type issued in future.
Infotainment system freezing freezes or goes blank while using iphone to navigate. Occurs with both google and apple maps. Resolving often requires waiting 10 plus minutes or turning car off and restarting it.
If the vehicle is not started and driven at least every second day.a no start condition results.battery is new, the second one from honda dealer.crank/starter speed very lethargic, all conditions, remote start included. Purchased an after market start booster to resolve dead battery issue.vehicle no longer under warranty.
When i turn the defroster on the radio turns to static.engine then revs up extremely high.the vehicle will do this stationary or moving and in a driveway, on a highway and in the city and while turning.it was rear ended july 24, 2017 at approximately 3:30 pm with roughly $1,000 in damages.
The contact owns a 2016 honda accord. While driving, the contact heard an abnormal noise intermittently. Suburban honda (25100 haggerty rd, farmington hills, mi 48335, (248) 477-1700) was unable to determine the cause of the failure on more than two occasions. The contact reviewed technical service bulletin: 16002 pertaining to the fly wheel and starter, but the dealer kept the vehicle for further diagnostic testing. The vehicle was not repaired as the dealer indicated that it was out of warranty and the starter and fly wheel were not connecting properly. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was not available.
The daytime running lights failed after the headlight assembly was flickering and hot, this issue started in the passenger side and now both daytime running lights are out. I contacted honda about this issue and they informed me that they do not have a current recall for this issue and to contact the dealer. The dealer will not fix the problem because the warranty expired. I bought this car because the day time running light safety feature. I did a research of this problem and it is a common problem in this vehicle. I am concern that this electrical problem can cause a fire.
Issue 1: led strip on front headlight defective. Had two defective headlight led strips go out on my vehicle. Issue 2: chasis making squeaking sound when driving less than 5 mph driving on incline.
The contact owns a 2016 honda accord. When the vehicle was started, the abs, vsa, and eps warning indicators illuminated. Also, the interior lighting flickered. The contact owns a 2016 honda accord. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 17v418000 (electrical system). The dealer (vann york honda, (336) 841-6200) inspected the vehicle, but made no mention that the remedy and part were unavailable to receive the recall repair at that time. When i push the push button starter it makes a high pitch noise and doesn't start. When i push it the second time it starts. Occasionally, after f i drive the car, cut it off and then try to start it, it won't start. I wait a second or two then try and it starts. This problem started in october 2019. Now it is happening more frequently, at least three - four times a week depending on how often i drive the car. The last time it happened was april 3, 2020. As a result of (covid-19), i am not driving it every day. The
The contact owns a 2016 honda accord. After driving the vehicle and turning the engine off, the battery power would drain and the vehicle could not be restarted. After replacing the battery with a new battery, the failure continued. The cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 56,000.
Driver side headlight led burned out at 52,000.purchased a used headlight and it has the same problem
Intermittently starts. Will only start when using push start 75% of the time. Other 25% there is a winding and grinding sound. Must repeat push start 5 to 6 times before ignition will fire. This occurs randomly while vehicle is not in motion. Starter will not fire the engine and may be shorting out or is hung up or miss firing. Smells of heated plastic noted during and after miss fire.
The issue started when i was barely over 42,000 miles, maybe 7 months ago in october of 2019. The car would stall after it was parked for a little over 5 minutes. I replaced the battery on it and everything worked fine for another couple of days. Then, it stalled again. I took it to the honda service center and they were not able to find a defect on the car. I decided to take it run a diagnostics through a third party after two days ago, it stalled as i was driving home. The diagnostics said my car has a defective fuel pump. What is really irresponsible on honda's part is the fact that i take it every time and i have asked them to run this diagnostics and they have not done so.
Not able to start the car. It struggles to start or won't start at all. I have issues with this before and apparently this issue still has not been resolved. I have found that this has happened to many other owners as well. Please advise honda of this ongoing issue.
Front right drl, part of the running light burned out, to replace the running light you must replace the entire headlight assembly which can be up to $1500 or more. Most people that purchase a honda accord cannot afford to repair something that burns out just like any other light for $1500. This is unacceptable, honda motor co. Needs to recall and repair this mistake for free. This is ridiculous to have to replace the entire headlight assembly.
The backup camera has quit working.when in reverse the screen is now black.
Drivers side from daytime led lights burnt out. Only have 45,000+ miles.
My car has cut off on me twice and both times are after i went through the car wash. There is a battery sensor recall that was fixed previously but i think that it is still not fixed. The last time i had to get my car towed bc it would not start. I had to get the car jumped and took it to get the battery tested. I was told the battery is good and showing 100%.
Had battery sensor problems witched cause the alternator not to charge the battery completely. As a result alternator got damaged and was left to install a new one.

I was driving on 35-38 mph in a 35mph zone. The road was curving in the form of a c and my tires started to skid. Once i applied brakes and i couldn't feel anything braking and once again applied, the car turned 90 degree, straightened out on the road but not completely meaning the car was still going forward in the direction on the road but a 30 degree angle. I couldn't control steering or brakes and hit a fire hydrant at the end. I asked the insurance company to contact honda for details know the different control units and reading but they didn't want to go that route. Now my insurance rate is up and i have 2 points since the cops didn't believe it could have been the cars fault.
I have honda sensoring on my 2016 accord sport.i drive a winding road every day and when i go around a curve the sensoring activates my braking system which slams the brakes, it is very unexpected and startling .i turn off my sensoring but every so often it happens even with it off.also there is apart of the road i drive on everydayit curves before crossing a bridge for some unknown reason the sensoring will activate and steer me to on coming traffic.the other day i almost hit a big rig.and like the braking system it is not all of the time.i am very concerned that the sensoring is going to cause me to crash.the good thing is i can over power the system and i am a experienced driver.however i am beginning to teach my child to drive and i am afraid something devastating might happen.
My vehicles cruse control, lane departure, collision warning and lane assist completely stopped working after being parked (stationary) in my driveway, vehicle has always had problems with front suspension since new and become unstable with braking hard if another driver cut me off having to apply brakes or when applying brakes down hill.. Vehicle was taken to deal for front suspension but never fixed after multiple attempts under warranty.. The latest issue with driver safety system is a manufacturers failure as these are features supposedly to prevent accidents and so fourth on public roads and highways. My vehicle is just over 4 years old and maintained and serviced to manufactures specification. In researching thru the web i found honda owners having this same issue with their vehicle.i believe honda should recall and fix these problems on their vehicles computer / software or sensors for public safety.part of the weather door window stripping is also deteriorating.
If i have the car light on auto and turn off the car the engine still runs and it does not turn off until i turn of the auto switch for the headlights and the indicator comes on randomly and i don't feel safe in this car
Randomly steering light, traction control, brake lighy comes on and goes off
At less than 600 miles, suddenly while driving at less than 30mph,transmission failure, in drive, operated like low gear. Car rattle, warning lights flashing: electric power steering, cylinder malfunction, tpms, and vsa.
My car keeps losing all power while im driving and then turns on.
My husband was driving, i was in the passenger seat on a clear day, full visibility, there was a car several car lengths ahead of us turning right. It cleared the way without us needing to break. We were traveling about 40 mph at around 2pm. Our vehicle thought there was still a hazard in the road. We have a sensing package in the vehicle, which caused our car to come to a full and complete stop, engaging the seat belts as well. We have full video evidence of the incident from a third party dash cam. We were almost hit from behind. We took the vehicle to the dealership thinking there was something wrong with it, it was returned, saying that the car worked as intended. Having been in the vehicle at the time, and i disagree, and am now extremely afraid to drive my car. While i have no pictures, i have full video of the incident, and will gladly provide it upon request.
Honda quality problems.we bought a 2016 honda accord in january. After few months the car started to have problems. The car loses acceleration all of a sudden and comes to a low speed (0-5 mph) within seconds. Every time this happened i was driving on the freeway. I took to the dealer many times.first time - the dealer said that he couldn't find anything wrong with the carsecond time - as per honda tech, they diagnosed that the chip in the computer is the problem. So they said that the software in the computer needed upgrade (strange.. It is a brand new car. And why is this happening to only one car. It should have been the case with other cars produced at the same time).third time - as per honda tech, they replaced the acceleration kit as they thought that is the problem. Fourth time - now they think the wiring is the problem and replaced that.every time, i drove that car trusting them, i risked my life. I avoided accident 8 times on freeway from being rear ended. I drove into the central ditch on the freeway and injured my shoulder. I am on medication for the past 1+ month. I am worried that i drive this car and am going to die.
I was on my way to work on a major highway and my car started stalling a jerked forward almost causing a collision i pulled over to a safe areaand called my family member he had to drive it to advance auto and they diagnosed it as a faulty fuel pump. I called honda and my insurance company and got the car towed to honda where it was also diagnosed as a fuel pump to be replaced per them my car had no other issues as i always keep up the maintenance on the car as i'm still paying for it. The only company that has this part was honda so they ordered the part and attempted to replace it. Once i received my car back i noticed a strong gas smell and stalling to crank. I called them and had it towed back and they said it was a gas leak they had to replace the whole system they just put in. Once i received the call back i noticed the same thing but this time the scent was significantly strong causing headaches to myself and other people i also have a video of the gas pouring out from under my car after i had just filled up the tank. I told honda the first time my concerns about it being fixed properly as i have a gas water heater in my garage where the car is kept they ensured me it was fine . I still had reservations about driving the car being stranded or it catching on fire when i received it back the third time . I was right because when i received it back not even two days later the smell permeated my house and garage and the car would not start. I had to call them and get it towed again. This will now be their fourth attempt in fixing my car. All three times they have given my car back i was so afraid of driving it i only moved the car to go to work and back home. According to them they did not have the right tool to apply the fuel pump in the first place and this is what caused the leak. I have reached out to american hondathrough email and calls with no response.
At less than 600 miles, suddenly while driving at less than 30mph,transmission failure, in drive, operated like low gear. Car rattle, warning lights flashing: electric power steering, cylinder malfunction, tpms, and vsa.
Engine ratlles for about 1-2 sec during cold startup. Car has 94000 miles.
While on a trip driving on an interstate at 72 mph, in busy traffic, with cruise control on, the engine stalled. I rolled to a stop on the shoulder, and the car didn't restart. Engine lights came on, but all electronics (radio, computer screens) were working. Honda towed (under warranty) to their nearest dealership. After checking out the car, and telling me it restarted and displayed no diagnostic codes, i was sent on my way. I was told it was safe to drive as there was no problem. Still on a trip, and about 500 miles later, i was again on the interstate passing a group of semi's on about a 5% grade, with cars in front of and behind me, when the engine stalled again. This time was much scarier as i was in the passing lane, and the right shoulder was blocked by a long string of semi's. It was dangerous trying to get to the right shoulder as there were cars in front of and behind me also. I was traveling at 78 mph with cruise control on when this happened. The car restarted this time, and with it being a weekend and the service department closed, i continued home the final 550 miles (in the right lane) without incident. This was the 3rd time the engine has stalled. The first was when i was in heavy traffic on the interstate, in stop and go traffic. The temperature was 109, and at the time (car had about 10,000 miles on it) i attributed it to the temperature even though the car didn't overheat. It restarted immediately this car is the 6 speed (manual), 6 cylinder, coupe model.
Led lights are out again since my car reach 45000 miles it no longer covered. I had my car since feb. 2017 it had 21000 miles within 8 mos its shows i put 30000 miles on it. I have 5 oil changes since feb. Something is not right with this motor i live in ms and have drove to texas maybe 3 times.
Volatile organic compounds ,including "methyl isobutyl ketone" are entering the vehicle cabin while the engine is on. This is causing serious eye irritation and breathing irritation. This despite the air conditioning being on, all vents closed, all windows up. I've attached the results of a "passive diffuse monitor" that was used in the cabin to monitor the air quality for approximately one week in december 2016.
Car has a severe vibration at idle while gear is selected to d.
Battery has been replaced 3 times and constantly drains despite turning off automatic lights and air conditioning to utilize less battery power. Turning over will choke at times and start but about every time that i take my car in for an oil change the battery power tests low.
The contact owns a 2016 honda accord. The contact stated that while turning on the vehicle, the engine started but then turned off by itself however, the radio and ac remained on. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The dealer and manufacturer were not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 75,000.
Vehicle unexpectedly caught on fire! the whole car busted into flames without warning on the freeway
If i have the car light on auto and turn off the car the engine still runs and it does not turn off until i turn of the auto switch for the headlights and the indicator comes on randomly and i don't feel safe in this car
I have a 2016 honda accord touring with 102k miles vin# [xxx] , on 09-03-2020 was driving south on i-295 to orange park fl with my grand daughter [xxx] and daughter [xxx] and before exit to collins rd, my vehicle check engine light came on flashing and my honda accord turn off while driving in the middle lane doing 55mph almost got rear ended by a semi truck and fast speeding cars, i was able to pulled over safety to the emergency lane on right side of highway, i was trying to figure out what has just happened, waited 5 minutes shivering with fear what was just about to happened, before trying to re-start my honda accord, the car started and rpms where below 500rpm with vibration, luckily i had my obd2 code reader in my glovebox called fixd, i plugged into vehicle obd plug and got 3 codes p0300 random multiple misfires, p0304 cylinder 4 misfire, and p0305 cylinder 5 misfire,i turned off and re started vehicle back on and vehicle started with no check engine or vibrations that was really, really odd, this is really dangerous and dealership didn't find anything wrong with vehicle.
I have a touring trim of the honda accord 2016, meaning it has a v6 engine. At around 38,000 miles, the starter started acting up. When i try to start it, it makes a grinding noise and won't start. I lived with it for a little bit because i'm usually able to get it to start after a couple of attempts. I bought a brand new starter from honda, installed it, and the car worked perfectly again. It started every time. 1 week later and the issue started happening again. It doesn't happen as often, but it shouldn't be happening at all. It's a brand new starter and i'm having the same exact issue as before. It happens like once a day now. The old starter was giving me issues every other time i tried to start the car. Won't be long before the same happens with this brand new one.
The contact owns a 2016 honda accord. While merging into traffic at approximately 50 mph, the contact crashed into the rear driver side of another vehicle. Within seconds of stopping, flames emitted under the hood and eventually spread throughout the whole vehicle. The fire department extinguished the fire. A police report was filed. No injuries were sustained.the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 10,000. The vin was not available.
Driverside daytime led lights partially burned out. This seems to be a common problem with this year vehicle and numerous other people have the same problem. I noticed this problem around july 20, 2018. I thought it would be just a bulb replacement but just learned the whole light assembly has to be changed
Led daylight driving safety lights failed at 44400 mi and 2 3/4 years old (out of any warranty) requiring replacement of whole driver's side headlight assembly at a cost of $736. This is obviously poor safety design of the leds with no mechanism for replace beyond the whole headlight assembly. Vehicle was in motion when the driving lights failed and there was no obvious indication. Of the failure.
Not able to pass my state inspection because my led day-time running lights on both left and right headlights is burnt out on bottom tubing. This could be a reoccuring issue for this model year and needs to be reported to honda for a recall claim. Others have reported this same issue as a design flaw and needs to be addressed by honda.+
Driver side day running light doesnā€™t work. A lot of owners have this problem. Not safe at all. Honda should recall that to fix that problem.
The driving lights on the drivers side have burned out
Led on the daytime running light strip on the headlight is prone to burning out. Had to recently replace passenger side due to burn out caused by poor chip design. Without daytime light the car is more susceptible to drivers not paying attention.
The daytime running lights have a high failure rate. We had to replace them twice before the 36,000 mile manufacturer's warranty ran out and they failed again at 37,000 miles. The cost to replace this safety feature is $1200 for one side. We have only owned the vehicle for 2.5 years and this will be the third time we will have to replace the daytime running lights. We think this product should not fail so frequently and if it does it shouldn't cost so much to replace.
Premature failure of daytime running lights (drls) at 46,000 miles and 3.5-years of service.
I pushed onbrakes and it acceleratedreal fast iturn to rightand it hit a fence then fence on other side of road i made thisturn 3 or 4 times and then it went thru a gate and hit thebackfence and the car still was trying to go cut off key.
Left side daytime running light burned out have way.
Purchased honda accord in 2017 for trips & highway driving. At 34k miles the drivers side drl running lights started to fade and then went completely out. Took back to dealership for repairand because the car now had 39k miles will not fix. The part the part #33150-taa81 is over $800 purchase since the entire headlightassembly has to be replaced. This is the touring model which was a premium option with these lights.this wasn`t an issue until the past months we have been issued warnings by state patrol of nebraska and colorado that the driving lights were out!? i never knew this was a valid safety violation for a running car?
The daylight running lights (led) failed at appx. 37,0000 miles. The problem seems to be an inadequate heat sink on one led chip which causes the acrylic tube to melt, bad design.repairing cost about $1500 requiring total assembly replacement as dlrs are unrepairable. This is 1) a massive design defect 2) leading to driving with no running lights 2) due to unaffordable cost of repair. The problem is windspread
The led daytime running light on the passenger side of my car has gone out. It was working yesterday, this morning it was burnt out. This is considered a safety light per the specifications listed on the invoice or itemized spec sheet. Also on the window sticker of the car. My car has 52,000 miles on it. Extended warranty is said to not cover the issue and the whole headlight must be replaced which was quoted to cost me over $1,000. There are hundreds of complaints from other accord drivers with the same exact issue and honda is doing nothing about it. Based off of the reviews i have read and from seeing identical cars on the road with burnt out daytime running lights, i am expecting the other side to burn out as well which would end up being over $2,000 worth of repairs and result in me having no daytime running lights. This is unacceptable and it is a safety feature of the car! a recall needs to be issued to address this. I, along with the other hundreds of people complaining of the same issue, can not afford $2,000 for headlights that are likely to just burn out again.
I purchased a 2016 honda accord, touring trim level, brand new. Both drl's ceased to function just prior to the warranty expiring. The driver side drl has ceased to operate again, in less than two years time.
My drl (daytime running lights) went out in both of my headlight housings.and to fix these two lights both of the housings will have to be replaced.both of the lights went out right after the 35,000 warranty ran out.
I have a 2016 honda accord and the drl on the passenger side have burned out.i have been doing research online and this appears to be a common problem with this model and the 2017.my car is approximately 2 years old and should not have this issue.to make matters worst, the only way to fix it is to replace the entire headlight at a cost of approximately 600.
Like many others my led passenger side daytime running lamp has failed after only 38000 miles. This is only 2000 miles outside of the warranty. I fully expect the other side to go out as well. I contacted honda usa and they basically blew me off and said there was no recall. This is a safety issue and apparently honda needs the government to remind them of it.
Both front headlight unitshad the led strip at the bottom and continuing up the side go out.as the headlight is one complete unit the led portion can not be replaced without a complete change out of the entire headlight unit.an internet search of the problem shows the problem is very very very common.a call to honda corporate customer service garnered no help.my headlights went out shortly after the warranty period.cost to replace exceeds $1,500.
The day time running led lights on both the driver's side and passenger side have blown out and american honda has refused to fix it because the car is over the 36,000 mile warranty. The car was under two years old from when i purchased it. This problem is well known to american honda and is not only limited to the honda accord but other models. It is an engineering defect and a safety issue. The daytime running lights are listed as a safety feature on the window sticker. As led daytime running lights.american honda should fix this at no cost to the customer, because these led bulbs are defective and they are charging $1,400.00 to replace both sides.
Both the driver's and passenger's side led daytime running lights (drl) no longer illuminate. The problem can only be resolved by replacing the entire headlight assembly which will run around over $2,000.00 according to the honda dealership.this is a safety issue that must be investigated to determine the manufacturing defects of this particular headlight assembly.
I have a problem with the led drl in both headlights. I notice on the internet that a lot of honda accord v6 touring owners had the same complaint. I think that this is a problem that honda needs to fix. The drl is a safety equipment and looks like on this years that part was defective. I appreciate all your help.
My vehicle has leddaytime running lights. The right front daylight running light went out. I have never owned a vehicle with led lights before. I was shocked to learn that the entire headlight unit must be replaced. After researching the internet and youtube i discovered this is apparently a common problem.people on the internet and youtube are saying that honda: is expecting $1200-$1500 per unit replacement cost.that is just insane. I have never paid more than $10 for any automotive bulb in my life.i don't understand why manufacturers are allowed touse led lightingcannot be easily replaced like vehicles for the last 100 years.normal people can't afford $1200-$1500 for a bulb.since this is a burned-out bulb i don't see the point in sending you a picture.
I found out that the driver's side day light led strip went out today. Given that i rarely check the head light condition , it should have gone out long time ago. I did some research and seems like 2016 accord model have same problem. I watched so many you tube videos complaining the same issue.
Daytime running lights (led strip) are burned-out in segments. Drl's are listed by the manufacturer as a safety item and honda will not replace unless vehicle is under warranty. Typical out of pocket expense runs from $400-$700 per unit as they are incorporated in each headlight assembly. Cost is unrealistic for lighting.
Led headlight running lights go out after 1 year. Both headlights have been replaced three times at dealership. Based emails other hondas touring models have had same issue caused by defective heat sink in the headlight.
The drl (daytime running lamp) inside the drivers side headlight assembly has burned out. My honda dealership has admitted that this is becoming a common failure with 2016/17 accords. If it happens after the warranty ends, it is a very costly replacement anywhere from $500. To $1,000. The passenger side drl in that headlight assembly as i am told in these accords is also burning out in time after the drivers side does, therefore incurring another huge expense. These drl lights are led and supposed to last for several years. An electrical fault controlling these lamps or some kind of bad engineering design are causing the failure of the drls. These automobiles were built with this lighting system to aid in safety on our dangerous roads and owners of these autos expect them to stay working for more than a year, two or three when purchasing a new car. These lights just burn out when driving at some point.
Both daylight running lights (dlrs) stopped working. They are half illuminated and a safety hazard. Absolutely unacceptable as it is hazardous.

To $1,000.the passenger side drl in that headlight assembly as i am told in these accords is also burning out in time after the drivers side does, therefore incurring another huge expense.these drl lights are led and supposed to last for several years.an electrical fault controlling these lamps or some kind of bad engineering design are causing the failure of the drls.these automobiles were built with this lighting system to aid in safety on our dangerous roads andowners of these autos expect them to stay working for more than a year, two or three when purchasing a new car.these lights just burn out when driving at some point.
Issue 1: led strip on front headlight defective. Had two defective headlight led strips go out on my vehicle. Issue 2: chasis making squeaking sound when driving less than 5 mph driving on incline.
The driver side daytime running light has failed to work.it doesn't work in any scenario (moving, stationary, etc).since these are led headlights, it requires replacing the entire headlight assembly and can't be individually repaired.
Driver's side led drl no longer working. Car is at 39,000 miles, just out of the 36,000 mile warranty. Many hondas appear to have this issue, which presents a definite safety concern during twilight and inclement weather.
Will be replacing the driver side light bucket to remedy an led strip that is partially out. It has been out for about 2 months now. This on a 2016 accord with 43k miles. The dealership has agreed to replace it for $200.honda sees this as a maintenance item, not covered under any current "campaign".seems like lights should last longer than a couple years.i don't know when it went out- just noticed it a couple months ago. Part is ordered, appointment for replacement is friday, 11/02/2018
Led daytime running lights are burnt out.
Drivers side from daytime led lights burnt out. Only have 45,000+ miles.
The running light on my 2016 has burned out and this is a covered benefit on other honda accords with the same year however isny for my vehicle . This is a disservice to you honda customer when a 3 year old vehicle has a $1000 light blow out . Please make this right and call me at [xxx].redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6)*cc
Low beam headlights are dim.
My 2016 honda accord coupe drl comes out. I have bought two pairs from honda and they both went out. Over 800 per repair. I've been reading online but it's not just happening to me.
My 2016 honda accord lx driver's side led running light failed at 39,893 miles.the led light should not of failed this soon and honda should identify this part as defective.to replace led the whole assembly has to be replaced.the led is a running light and is a critical to vehicle operation safety. The led light is always on when the light setting is in the auto position.the led light also helps other drivers see the vehicle in all driving conditions.nhtsa should report numbers to honda and honda should take action to fix the issue.
Daytime running lights. Driver side daytime running lights out. Seen many others with same problem.
I purchased a brand new 2016 honda accord touring. The vehicle has 54k miles and the led drl on the driver side has failed.
Daytime led run light on driver side no longer works after 3 years owning car.quoted price to repair is over a thousand dollars.
The led daytime running lights (drl) have failed after 2 years of service. Replacement of the whole light assembly is required running $800 - $1500.there are many of these on the road with the same issue.
Daytime running lights, led strip, go out after about 30,000 miles. My driver side led strip went out and honda replaced it at 35,000 miles. At 40,000 miles, passenger side drl led strip went out. Honda is using faulty parts and is charging $800 to replace the headlight assembly every 30,000 miles. This is dangerous because the led strip lights are important when driving through safety zones that require headlights to be on, or at night where you need the light to see the road clearly. Lighting isn't a wear and tear part and they should not be going out that often.
Randomly steering light, traction control, brake lighy comes on and goes off
Front, driver side led strip running lights stopped working right after warranty expired.
Led daytime running lights passenger side bottom stripe burned out 19850 miles.
At 50,000 miles my led light burnt out
My 2016 honda accord sport only has 43,000 miles and about a week ago, the led light strip on the passenger side burned out. Dealership says that warranty will not cover ( even though i bought extended warranty) and it would be upwards of $500 or more to replace since the whole light assembly has to be replaced. Seroiusly??? i have found hundreds of complaints online from other customers with the same issue. When do you draw the line and call it a defect and issue a recall?? this feature is supposed to be considered a safety feature by honda. I feel this should not be a customers responsibility to replace when it is obviously a honda problem.
The contact owns a 2016 honda accord. The contact stated that the day time running lights failed to illuminate on the driver's side. The contact called an unknown dealer and was informed that the bulb needed to be replaced and the contact would have to pay out of pocket. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to nhtsa. The vin was unknown. The approximate failure mileage was 15,300.updated 11/07/17*lj updated 11/13/2017
Front headlight led strip (used as running lights) burned out.the led strips are not able to be replaced separately.the entire headlight unit has to be replaced to remedy the issue.one went out and was replaced under warranty.shortly thereafter, after the car was out of warranty the other strip went out.honda america offered no assistance in the matter.very dangerous to not have running lights.cost to replace the entire light unit (which, again, is required to remedy the issue) is upwards of $1,500
Grossly defective headlights, low beams fail to adequately illuminate the roadway in front of the vehicle.low beam cutoff too low, unable to discern large bright object on roadway or edge at 100 foot distance. Photo documentation attached. Honda has not provided an owners manual or information for adjustment despite repeated requests. Honda claims i can order the manual on the web but it is not possible, the website only allows 2015 and earlier, screen shot attached.my local honda dealer, southeast honda service advisor claimed they cannot be adjusted, i believe that this information is not true.
The daytime running lights have both stopped working.within 13 months, my first drl went out.by 16 months, the second drl went out. After talking with my mechanic, i realized that it's not just a simple light change, the entire headlamp piece has to be replaced in order to correct the drl.each one costs approx $1500, $3000/pair.obviously the daytime running lights were designed to last the lifetime of the vehicle, which is clearly not happening.technically this is a safety issue, since that's what this feature is intended to be used for. After researching how common of a problem this is, i was shocked to see this is a huge problem for 2016 accords.honda has been unwilling to address this problem and correct it.the thought of leaving this to it's customers is ridiculous when it's intended to last the life of the vehicle.
A portion of the led daytime running lights (drl) immediately below the headlights on the driver side has burned out.should not happen on a car with only 52k miles.
Daytime running lights led both partially burnt and only half of the led light come on.this happen this weekend 7/24/2020 and 7/25/2020.per service bulletin 19-042 dated 4/16/2019 from honda on nhtsa website, this is a common problem with 2016 honda accords.however the recall does not apply my 2016 model per vin. I need help as dealer cannot assist. There's lots of information online about this recall. Totally reflects the situation we are having and again even the same year and model as my vehicle but why are some cars excluded?it just does not seem right.this is an expensive repair.any help is appreciated.
Led headlight strips burned out which are part of the daytime running light safety feature. Driver side replaced at 40k miles and passenger side is now out at 60k miles. Honda has no cost effective way to repair or replace.
Dealer replaced led passenger headlight at 30,000 miles there is definitely a issue with the headlights hoping the driver side doesn't go out after 35,000 .. This is a on going issue with this model there should be a recall on these lights
Led drl have both went bad, for no reason, worked one day didnt the next day thry were covered by thd 36k warranty, however, they have not fixed the underlying issue and once out of warranty, they are $1300 each!brakes have been resurfaced, front and rear. The car had 70 miles, a xealer traded it anx it sat on the lot for months, perhaps thd rust created pitting(davis honda should have replaced the rotors, nog cut them at 5k then 10k. Current mileage is 16,800. Oh, and the paint chips/road rash is insane. The clear coat will be gone by 100k.
Driver's side daytime led running light no longer works after only 65,000 miles.
One bottom (main) section of the passenger-side day-time running led strip burned out. Now only the side portion remains on.both led strips need to be on in order to provide safety (better visible to other cars on the road) for my black car during the daytime. Since led lights do not burn hot, they should not burn out after 3 years.both led lights work ok (so far) on the driver side headlamp assembly.
Back in sept 2017, my drivers side drl led strip went out, and honda replaced it, but charged me a deductible of $100.aroung may first, 2018, my passenger side drl led strip went out, and honda is saying that the first one was a courtesy, but i have to pay for the majority of the repair this time. Looking up different accord forums, the 2016 model seems to have an issue with the drl led strips. Many people have reported issues with the light, but honda is claiming that no one has reported the issue at all, and my issue is due to me driving from milwaukee, to chicago everyday for work. Lights are not wear and tear parts, so should not be impacted by driving 60 miles in each direction.honda is refusing to take responsibility for an obvious defect, and requiring people to pay well over $500 to replace the full headlight assembly.
Daylight running lights (drl) are led, but burn out.this happens frequently in 2016 honda accords due to changes in design from previous models.
Passenger side drl has quit working. I am out of warranty based on mileage not months of time. This is a safety issue that needs to be taken care of. Honda dealership will only replace entire assembly (quoted around $1,500 for 1 side). I have heard that there is an updated design they are replacing them with. I will wait for the driver side to burn out before creating an issue at dealership level. Many complaints and many accords (all trim levels) with this issue. My service advisor said that they see several every week! honda, do the right thing and replace the design defective lights at no charge!
Led daytime running lights at the underside of the headlight have gone out. This is a safety hazard as many other cars the drls turn off before the turn signal is indicated. Can give other drivers false indication of turning possibly.
Thanks
Led daytime running lights have failed on both sides of the car.
Daytime running light - passenger side failed
Daytime running light led on drivers side went out at only 31k miles on my 2016 honda accord ex. Other customers reporting same exact issue on 2016 honda accord.
After driving the vehicle for only 20,000miles, both daytime running lights shut off and stopped working. The daytime running headlights were not part of any honda warranty due. The day time running headlight appear to be affected by a electrical issue or possibly a defect in the headlight itself. Honda is charging customers well over $1,000 to replace each headlight unit which contains the led daytime running lights.
I have noticed the burnt out daytime running light led, but only when it's past warranty. However, it may have happened earlier as well. Typically leds are more reliable than halogen or incandescent with a lifetime of about 30,000 hours. The car is used no more than 2 hours a day, meaning it went out in no more than 2,000 hours.however, due to design issue, this light alone cannot be replaced - the entire headlight assembly must be replaced.while honda dealer acknowledged that this was a widespread problem with this vehicle, they refused to replace it.and, per my research, it costs at least $600 to replace one assembly.accordingly to carcomplaints.com, this is the biggest problem with 2016 accords.
Touring model daytime running light (drl) led strip is 70% un-lit on one headlight.this appears to be an extremely common problem and requires replacement of the entire headlight assembly, dealer part cost $945, install not included.from my research it appears these burn out early and often and drl's are listed as a safety feature.this is not right and a solution needs to be provided.honda cannot expect people to replace lights every couple of years at that cost.
Drive side head light - running light is out.led drl burnout issue
Both of my drl's are out on my 2016 honda accord sport. It has a little over 32,000 miles on it. I will be going to the dealership tomorrow to speak about this issue. If they tell me it is not covered i will never be buying another honda. I purchased the car with 28000 miles on it 3 months ago. The drl's went out last week. No extreme weather. No crashes. This is an extremely common problem. I have only seen roughly a dozen accords around my city with fully working drl's. It is a very bad problem
At approximately 33000 miles the daytime running lights which are incorporated into the headlight assembly. Both headlight assemblies had to be replaced. I believe this is a common problem (online complaints). Honda should replace or repair these free of charge since it is such a widespread occurrence.
Drivers side drl went out on the side closer to the honda logo.
Daytime running light is out.
Months ago i was in a car accident because an air bag error popped up on my screen and by the time i looked up i hit another vehicle. There is always something wrong with this car and i haven't even had it for a full 3 years
The led lights keep going out. I have replaced one for $500 and now it is not working again. There is a defect in the lights and need to be fixed. The lights cost too much to have to keep replacing. Please check into this issue
Daytime led light strip went out at 40k miles on the passenger side. The driver light went out at 35k.
The lower section of the passenger side daytime running lights have stopped working. Since i knew this was a problem with other similar honda's i've seen on the road and online complaints, i contacted honda national to see if there is an updated part number. From what i understand, the heat sink is not properly designed or seated on the oem unit which leads to overheating and premature failure. Honda national customer support was of absolutely no use. They would not confirm a modified part number that corrected this problem and referred me to the dealer. I understand this one is under warranty, but the other side will likely fail within a few thousand miles and if the same faulty designed part is replaced, it will fail again. Led lights should not fail with less than 1,000 hours use. This appears to be a common problem and it's also safety issues that honda should fix
Driver-side daytime running light failed in less than three years of service and 100,000 miles.
The led running lights was burned out easily. Led running lights is a safety features of the vehicle that requires to be on at all times per dot. There is no option of replacing the lights. The honda dealer wants to replace the whole headlight assembly.
Led daylight running light burned out at 17.000 miles.
Daytime led running light not working. A recall notice was sent in early 2019 but it can't be found.
Left side daytime running light strip does not light up for half of its length.the medial or inner half does not light up.i noticed this at 41000 miles on the car.the warranty is 36,000 miles.i do not know if the light went out before the warranty expired but i did not notice it at the time.
Both drl led strips on my car blew out. Honda is not willing to cover or replace it. I have seen many other honda accords of the same generation with the same problem out on the road. The dealer and honda representative i talked to both acknowledge that it is a known issue, however, are not willing to remedy it.
The drivers side led daylight running lights are going out on several of the newer model honda accord sport and touring models. This is safety feature that appears to be failing on multiple models, which leads me to believe this is a manufacturing defect.after researching online i have found several consumers that have ,and or areexperienced the same issue. You can see there are several consumers affected on this single youtube link ->https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ibjap21w43uthank you
Led daytimes running lights keep burning out
Hey diycarmodz i'm a long time subscriber and bought a 2016 accord coupe ex-l inspired by your vids. There's an issue on the 2016 & 2017 accords coupes and sedans that is becoming a huge headache for a lot of owners. The drl led burns out which is expected to last the life of the car. The daytime running lights are listed as safety features by honda.the light is not user accessible and the dealer has to replace the entire headlight assembly. I've had both sets of my headlights each replaced twice and just burnt out again. I have linked all the complaints online that i could find along with the comments on the videos. I was wondering if you could make the problem more known with your larger following so that honda can put out a recall for this issue since it costs anywhere from $800-$1400 to get the problem resolved because of an led light. I see a lot of accords on the road with a bunt out drl led and it is spreading. I have attached the links i have found. Https://youtu.be/q00xnngaixwhttps://youtu.be/xsfiy3b8r5khttps://youtu.be/ibjap21w43uhttps://youtu.be/30hofrfsijohttps://youtu.be/wgixfrlo1tmhttps://youtu.be/y24883nn7auhttps://youtu.be/k925vruloachttp://m.carcomplaints.com/honda/accord/2016/lights/daytime_led_lights_burning_out.shtmlhttp://m.carcomplaints.com/honda/accord/2017/lights/daytime_running_lights_out.shtml
I have a 2016 honda accord sport that i bought brand new.a friend had noticed that the driver-side's led daytime running light was only half-lit. I took it to my honda dealer and it was immediately noticeable that they were familiar with the problem and immediately said it was covered under my warranty.my car has clocked 42,200 miles and was not covered by warranty.while at the dealership waiting on my car i noticed two other honda accord with the same identical problem; driver-side's led daytime running light was only half-lit.they have to order an entire headlight unit; not just the led strip portion and it will cost over $500.this is a matter of a faulty and cheap led lighting system and is a hazard for driving at night.
Both drls are defective at 61,533 miles. Part of the led strip has failed on both sides. This is a chronic and common issue with the 2016 honda accord.
My 2016 honda accord sport only has 61,000 miles and about a week ago (or maybe longer since this is the first time i inspected the headlights), the led light strip on the driver side burned out. I have found hundreds of complaints online from other customers with the same issue. This is definitely a factory problem from honda and the only recourse is to replace the entire headlight at $1100. This feature is supposed to be considered a safety feature by honda. I feel this should not be a customers responsibility to replace when it is obviously a honda problem. A recall is in order as again, there are hundreds of complaints about this issue happening to the honda accord within the first 1 - 2 years of purchase.
My daytime running light led on the driver's side is no longer working.i do not know how long it has been out, but noticed it today.
Like so many others, daytime running lights (passenger side in my case) half out.discovered at 48k miles.it's out of warranty. It's being looked at by the dealer in a week.i guess we'll see what happens.
The daytime running light on my 2016 honda accord touring became half burnt out after only 4,000 miles on the car.the driver side was fine, and the passenger side light with the problem was replaced under warranty.however, i am concerned for when the warranty expires in less than one year.this would create a broken headlight that would be over $1,000 to replace on a practically brand new $35,000 car.i have noticed this problem on almost all 2016-2017 body style honda accords that i pass on the road.
The daytime running lights fail and need to be replaced repeatedly, randomly causing other drivers to properly see my vehicle when changing lanes or driving next to them on highways.
Front headlight units had the led strip at the bottom and continuing up the side go out. As the headlight is one complete unit the led portion can not be replaced without a complete change out of the entire headlight unit. An internet search of the problem shows that the problem is very common. Made a call to honda corporate customer service garnered me no help. My headlights went out shortly after the warranty period. Cost to replace exceeds $1,500
I made an appointment to have the daytime running light fixed in my headlight under the impression that this would be a easy and inexpensive repair to be surprised with the $1000 charge that i am expected to pay. Honda has created a headlight design that forces their customers to pay an exorbant amount of money on a part that can be purchased for under $20.00. I refuse to be trapped in a company that doesn't consider their customers future repairs when designing a car. I came to honda looking for an affordable vehicle and $1000.00 on one headlight is no where considered an affordable repair for an item that is not a major component of the vehicle. I have created a claim and if this issue cannot be added as a recall i will be escalating this matter to corporate level or higher.
The led strip of light around my headlight on drivers side is partially blown. That is always a distraction to oncoming cars
Driver side led drl busted prematurely.
Daytime running lights failing twice in two years. This is a very costly issue since the whole light assembly needs to be replaced at $1200 each.. This is advertised under the safety features section of the vehicle. There are many complaints regarding the led drl's failing and a safety issue for driving without them working
Front driver side led drl strip went out at 51k
Driver sideled strip went out around 33k partially, dealership wants to charge 1k to fix it, stating it will need an entire need headlight. Led strips should last longer than 2 1/2, 33k miles.
The daytime running light burned out on the driver side...
Safety issue. Both right and left side front led light blowing out, one at around 30,000 miles and the other around 40,000, right outside of warranty. This is considered asafety light per the specifications listed on the invoice or itemized spec sheet. The honda facility is stating a repair of around $650 for the entire light fixture out of pocket.
Known issue woth bad design drl.left side went out. Only had 22,000 miles. Right side dimming also. Leds do not last longer than halogen head light.
I was traveling i-24 eastbound on the final leg of a 650 mile trip.it was about 8:30- 8:45 et.i was passing through marion county near monteagle (tn) when my headlights dimmed so that i could not see.(the headlights were in the "auto" position to come on as darkness descended.) within minutes, all interior dashboard lights failed also.i was traveling at 60 mph through this very dangerous mountain pass with no interior or exterior lights in the dark in an unlit rural area, cars passing at a high rate of speed.i put on my flashers so that approaching cars could detect my presence and not run over me.the emergency lights appeared to be working but i quickly realized as a pickup truck approached my rear end at about 75 mph. That the driver could not see me.at the last second, he swerved into the left lane.two more cars nearly ran into me so i knew the flashers were not working either.i had no idea of how fast i was going because i could not read the speedometer.tried to adjust the lights with no success. No bright lights either.i was finally able to exit at a rural place with a fireworks store, but it was closed.i turned off the car; i was terrified.when i turned the car back on after a few minutes, the exterior lights came back on but no dash lights.a man leaving the store gave me a high power flashlight to put on the dash to enable me to see the speedometer.i drove 10-12 miles before i got to lookout mountain and was able to get a hotel room.i drove to economy honda in chattanooga, tn the next morning.after examining my new accord (<6600 miles, purchased new in october 2016) for a week, honda was unable to determine the cause of the failure.in fact, according to honda, they cannot determine that an electrical failure occurred at all.needless to say, i am very upset & concerned for my safety and afraid to drive at night.
3 years olf car with 48,000 miles both front daytime running lights are burnt out.cost to reapir is almost $1,000.numerous complaints about this online, and should be a recall.they recall for safety items and these daytime running lights are there for safety.
Driver side led daylight running light failed within the first 2 years of owning the car.
Daytime running lights led strip not working or it appears to blow out
The driver side daytime running light has failed. It is an led strip that is located below the headlamps.it has completely burned out in no longer functions.
Led daytimelights /replaced driver side at 17,000 milesnow passenger sideneeds to be replaced at 27,000 milesthis item cost alone is $1300 each making it $2600 to replace this amount does not include labor.i believe honda needs to recall the led lights and replace...this will not be fair to owners of this model once they reach 36,000 miles and the warranty is now void.....
2016 honda accord. Consumer writes in regards to blown out day time running lights. *ld consumer sent additional correspondence. *ldthe consumer stated the manufacturer was notified but did not offer any assistance.
The contact owns a 2016 honda accord. While driving 35 mph approaching a metal plate, the collision warning indicator iluminated. The vehicle slowed down and vehicle stopped behind the metal plate. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the issue. The failure milage was 3,300....updated 01/23/17
While my wife was driving in the local community on a trip to her relatives house, out 2016 honda accord touring model's automatic braking warning light and associated application of the brakes came on at least 4 times within a 9 mile drive. Each time there were no other vehicles or obstacles near the car. I plan to make an appointment with the dealer this week. I have read dozens of similar complaints about this same issue with the honda collision mitigation system. I think a recall for this issue may be necessary.
After i did some research i believe the fuel pump of this vehicle constantly failed. The vehicle takes much longer to start up, sometimes it take couple of try to get it started, and, it also caused engine to stall and lose power during the drive or backing up.
My fuel pump had problems. The auto mechanic had to replace the new one.my car had stall sometimes and the mechanic checked it was fuel pump defected.
Multiple issues with car not starting even with a new batter. Will have to jump the car off each time i drive. Car stalling when i drive it.
The contact owns a 2016 honda accord. While driving 20 mph, the vehicle hesitated and the check engine warning indicator illuminated. The contact associated the failure with nhtsa campaign number: 19v060000 (fuel system, other). The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, but they could not duplicate the failure. The vehicle was taken to nalley honda (located at 4197 jonesboro rd, union city, ga 30291, (404) 994-4321) where a fuel treatment was provided and a change of fuel, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 90,000.
Re:nhtsa recall id 19v060; this recall appears to only impact v6 honda accords, however, i feel it should be expanded to four-cylinder as well.i have noticed my car almost stall-out on several occasions since ownership.my car has about 57k miles on it, it had 6k when i purchased it certified pre-owned.typically, this happens when i'm sitting in a parked position in idle.but, it has also occurred when i put the car in gear, start driving at a low-speed (down our alley), and i feel gaps in the power when i push the gas.it will accelerate at a certain rate, then stop, even though i've not lifted my foot off the accelerator.i was unsure what this was related to (spark plugs), but this recall has made me think it's also related to the fuel system.this has happened on at least four separate occasions, but only relatively recently (within the past 6 months or so).
My fuel gauge/range has become inaccurate.i only drive my car monday-friday, the same route, same miles, same conditions. At the end of the week, i normally have less than a quarter of a tank left, with approx 110-120 mile range. Recently, it is showing i have remaining range of 260, but it is still requiring 12+ gallons to fill.my mpg per trip/overall has not changed.took to dealer, they "claim" they can't find anything, i suspect it's because i have extended warranty with -0- deductible. They also asked me to bring it in on a full tank instead of 1/2 tank or less where i notice the problem begins. I get an average mpg each trip of 32.5 mpg, i have a 15 gallon tank, there is no way on the last 3 gallons of gas i would get 86.66 mpg. That is well beyond mfg specs.
August 2018 battery in car stopped working. Stationary car would not start. Replaced battery and in november 2019 battery stopped working again. Car wont start. November 2019 problems with gas. When pushing the gas on residential street it stops, wont go further.
The problem is with the acceleration of the vehicle. It tends to at times to just cut outaccelerating. When that happens i try to press the pedal again, nada, milliseconds pass and the accelerator will take off at a high rate of speed. It's scary. Took it to the dealer and found nothing wrong. The tech told me that i have to get used to the cvt. This generally happens when turning left or right. It happened one time while taking off from a dead stop. While placing the car in gear, nada.
I was driving on the highway when all of the sudden my vehicle started stalling, then it simply lost all force and would not go. I had to get the vehicle towed and upon inspection it resulted with a defective fuel pump that needs to be replaced. The venice is not that old to have that kind of issue, and a co-worker of mine had the same issue with their vehicle which is also a 2016 honda accord. I did some research in some forums and it seemed that many people were reporting similar issues with the fuel pump with models between 2015 through 2019.
I have taken my car to two mechanics and both have diagnosed my carand advised me that my hign pressure fuel pump is defective and needs replacing. I only have 28,000 miles on my vehicle and should not be experiencing a defective hign pressure fuel pump at such low mileage.the car has a hard time starting and stalls when i am driving it on the highway and will not exceed 60 miles per hour speed.stalling could cause an accident and is hazardous.
Vehicle unexpectedly caught on fire! the whole car busted into flames without warning on the freeway
Strong gasoline smell inside passenger cabin. Nauseating, trouble breathing.
Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).
I needed to change fuel pump and my fuel system cleaned because my car was stalling and not responding to acceleration on the road but respond when i didn't even acceleratewhich was very dangerous. I did see honda recalledv6 models but they should recall v4 models too as it can cause serious accidents.
When i stop and want to take of fast accelerator pedal does not respond .i think this is very dangerous ithas happened several times
Transmission( cvt) vibrates around 20 to 45 mph.rear window is distorted. (wavy vision through window)
Vehicle has been having issues when accelerating making car ride very uncomfortable when driving. Acceleration between 20-40 mph on street road along with acceleration at 40-60 mph on express lanes
On may 29, 2017, i noticed an slow oil leakage from the transmission and engine side at the bottom of the car after i went under the car to inspect because there was a oil stain on my driveway. The leakage was large and it spread. I noticed oil on the bottom shield protector of the car. The oil color was clear with black particles. The area was moist. At the time, my car had 6,274 miles. I contacted honda corporation and i was advised to take the car to any honda dealer for inspection. I took the car to carson honda where it was confirmed by them that there was an oil leak between transmission and engine. Carson honda could not pinpoint exactly where the leak was coming from so they placed a white spray residue to pinpoint the leak. I returned with the vehicle to long beach honda for evaluation of the leak. They said they could not see the leak. I myself noticed that that the white residue was moist and brown and white residue from sites where it was not leaking. Honda corporation was recontacted because the leak continue and was advised that i can only take to one dealership for inspection once i start the case. I told them i would take it to norm reeves honda and stay there. At norm reeves honda, they found trans/cvt leaking oil. They said the issue was repair. On april 23, 2018, i performed a motor oil change and i saw a very small oil leakage along the area separating the trans and engine. Left on to re-evaluate later. On feb 18, 2019, i went under my car to inspect for oil leakage. The oil leakage has continue and is similar to the beginning of the leakage from may 29, 2017. There is clear oil leakage with black particles and oil on the bottom shield protector of the car. Miles at this time 18,999.
I drive a 2016 honda accord ex-l v6 with a manual transmission. The dual mass flywheel is failed, and is causing a couple of noises. There is a chattering noise during clutch engagement into first gear from a stop to a roll. This is due to the excess radial play in the dual mass flywheel's arc damper spring mechanism. After thorough research, it was found that the service life of dual mass flywheels, specifically the arc damper spring mechanism, is rather short due to the defective nature of the design. The car i drive started experiencing noticeable failure with only about 17,000 miles on the odometer. I am an excellent driver, with years of manual transmission experience and knowledge. I took the vehicle to many certified honda dealerships on long island, and they all heard the noises the dual mass flywheel was making. However, all certified honda mechanics, despite having test driven the vehicle, failed to even diagnose the issue as any problem. Other mechanics who are not honda certified agreed with the fact that the dual mass flywheel has failed. During all phases of driving, the dual mass flywheel rattles regardless of gear selected (including neutral) and clutch position. Ever since the dual mass flywheel failed (17,000 miles), especially when it is reasonably warm out (approx. 70 degrees f), rattling persists, and the chattering i mentioned before persists. The dual mass flywheel chatters excessively, and is accompanied by a very delayed engagement time from stop to a roll into first gear. The symptoms of dual mass flywheel failure and clutch failure may appear similar, but the ways of diagnosing the failures are different; the clutch shows no signs of failure. I am worried that because of the failure, my vehicle wont be able to accelerate from a stop quick enough in the event of an emergency. Attached is a document i forwarded to honda, who ignored it.
Around 1 pm on apr 20, 2018 when i started the car again it accelerated at very high speed rpm when i tried to put gear from parking to drive... It accelerated so high i was scared to death...and i immediately turned off.. Waited few mintutes and started again and do no have the problem anymore.. Called honda 888-234-2138 on apr 21 2018 and they said to make appointment with dealer.. Made appointment with dealer for apr 24 2018 at 8:00 am at vip honda in north plainfield nj.. They said they will charge me $125.00diagnostic fee for it if they do not find any problem with it.. I told them i have about 19k miles and it should becovered.. They said no they have to charge if they do not find any fault... As it could be computer glitch which cannot be replicated exact condition i had to leave there without paying additional diagnostic fee.. Called honda comapny again and they said thats right dealer will charge fee if nothing found.. Is,nt it terrible if they are not able to diagnose problem they want me to charge for time... Got diagnostic code reader from walmart and that code reader says there is nothing wrong with anything... I am scared to drive as there is no error code and car had acceelrated high speed and it could happen.. Who is at responsibel for this ? and please let other people know it could happen to them and not everything has error code at right time...
Takata recallthe frame is corroded, the suspension veers to the left, windshield wipers do not provide visability, emission problems, transmission problems, front end alignment off, does not have door lock, does not accelerate past 60, car shakes
Unintended acceleration.2016 honda accord, 9200 miles. On 7/14/17 i pulled into the parking lot of my local drugstore. I located a parking spot, and was slowly turning right to pull into the parking space when my engine revved, the car accelerated, up over the concrete curb, over bike rack and into the side of the brick building. By this time, both of my feet were on the brake but the car did not stop. The airbag deployed. I turned the car off. Police were called and an accident report was taken. I contacted honda america and they assigned me a case manager, who returned my call and took all information. Honda sent a field representative to examine the car at the body shop. After this the case manager called me to let me know honda found nothing wrong with the car, followed by a letter to confirm that. My foot was not in the accelerator at the time of the crash. I have supporting documents, accident report, repair bill, medical bills. I will provide these to you by mail or fax. I cannot seem to upload on the mobile application.

When i drive my car. It suddenly jumps. It seems like its the transmission problem. It happens at low speed as well as high speed. I have done everything possible to keep my car maintained. Also its battery is dying after having it for 3 years. I have to jump the car at random times because the car would not start.

Car has a severe vibration at idle while gear is selected to d.
The car vibration increases whenever the car is in drive and idling at a stop light, stop sign, parking lot, etc. During cold weather temperatures the vibration is excessive and can make a rattling noise come from the engine. This has been happening for a few months now continuously. Honda dealerships refuses to consider it as an issue.
The contact owns a 2016 honda accord. The contact stated that the vehicle seat caused the contact's foot to fall asleep, neck pain, and back pain. The vehicle was taken to the delaer where it was diagnoised that the failures were inherent to the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the issue. The vin was invalid. The failure mileage was approximatley 300.

I went to a body worker yesterday because my lower and upper back and legs were in such pain.i tried placing pillows and towels in strategic places, and i just ordered a variety of lumbar support / cushions to try to alleviate the pain.i cannot believe that i just spent $33,000 for this car and cannot drive it for more than 15 minutes before experiencing excruciating pain.i have just over 1,100 miles on it and have no idea what to do.i tried adjusting the driver seat positions:forward/back, up/down, angled/leveled the seat, adjusted the lumber support to more/less pronounced positions, without finding a position that alleviates the pain. Also, when i try to adjust the steering wheel to see if arm position might be part of the problem, it lands either high, or if i lower it, the wheel blocks the speedometer in the range 55-85 mi/hr. My previous vehicle, a dodge grand caravan, had wonderful seats.i thought i was "moving on up" with a reliable honda accord.in fact, i never had a comfort problem with any other vehicle i have owned in the past 40 years.please help me find a solution.
I experience excruciating pain when driving for more than 15 minutes in my new honda accord ex-l v6.i cannot find a comfortable position in the driver's seat, despite having tried every adjustment: forward / back, up/down, angle the seat, adjust the lumber support, adjust the steering wheel.i went to a body worker twice this week to alleviate the pain in my lower and upper back and legs.i have driven various cars for 40 plus years and never had a problem with seats, until now.i do not know what to do.i just spent $33,000 on a vehicle that was supposed to be reliable and comfortable, but i simply cannot be in such pain.the car now has 1,100 miles on it, and i guess that i need to sell it back to the dealer or to a private party, for a loss of thousands of dollars.
The headrests push a passenger's head forward so a strain is put on the neck and does not support from shoulders up to upper part of head. My passenger and myself are 5'-6" and 5'10" tall. If driving for several hours the strain is unbearable.i would suggest honda replace the headrests to support the head when in a driving position.

Lumbar support on drivers side seat causes lower back pain, numbness and tingling. Poor ergonomics / design.
Seats are very uncomfortable. The drivers side seat cause my legs to go numb and also hurts my lower back.
Driver's seat is poorly designed. After sitting/driving for a while, leg numbs....poor lumber support causing back pain and leg numbness.
Steering wheel occludes the speedometer.analog speedometer is in the middle of the dashboard and very large.depending on the position of the steering wheel you loose at least 25 mph range (either on the low or high end of the spectrum).there is no digital readout which would be a simple fix to this issue as the low center part of the speedometer "ring" is always visible.also, the driver's seat has a built in arch that does not fit ever body.it is not adjustable and (depending on height) pokes you in the mid-low back and doesn't let the upper back get support or relax into the seat.result is very tight and spasmed back muscles.this gets worse over time.
Your brakes failed and air bags too

Months ago i was in a car accident because an air bag error popped up on my screen and by the time i looked up i hit another vehicle. There is always something wrong with this car and i haven't even had it for a full 3 years
The contact owns a 2016 honda accord. While backing out of a parking space at approximately 5 mph, the vehicle accelerated on its own. The brake pedal was applied and failed. The vehicle spun out and became lodged between two vehicles without warning. The air bags failed to deployed. A police report was filed and there were no injuries. The vehicle was towed to a towing yard. The manufacturer was notified. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 8,768.
When turning the wheel, squeaking coming from brakes.had brakes checked, and there is no wear which requires brake replacement.this is a known issue of the tab getting off it's resting place and causing an erroneous squeaking. Everytime we ask the dealer about it, they say they cannot replicate.when you do a simple google search, the issue is documented all over the place.thus, honda is aware and is not addressing this issue.

Vehicle pulls to the right randomly, sometimes hard, sometimes gently.vehicle will also pull harder right when braking randomly.sometimes vehicle will pull left when braking. Dealer has aligned the vehicle 3 times in a month no change.still having same issue. Dealer tried to blame the brand new michelin tires.i know there are steering issues with 2013-2015 accords please consider adding 2016 accords to this also.they also checked the brakes and suspension and say all that is good.i know i am not the only 2016 accord owner complaining about this issue.accord forums confirm this.please investigate this.thank you.
When traveling down a road straight about 45 mph the automatic braking system flashed 'brake' on the cluster and then the the car came to a stop when there was nothing in front of me that i could see. Car has 16000 miles on it and this has never happened before. The car behind me had enough room to stop in time.took it to the dealer and they could not find anything wrong but a dirty camera code set.
This 2016 honda accord touring of mine makes screeching noise at 20 mph or lower when i turn left. I took it to brookdale honda at brooklyn center mn today and they said it is not nothing but coming from one of the seats. This car gave me problems from bad tires to wheels to steering wheel and daylight running lights now. Us government should fine these companies hard. This is a $35 k car and we consumers are facing these unwanted issues that should be taken care of from honda without any questions. Honda is aware of these issues and take precautions and let the owners know before we know it. Very frustrating...
On monday, may 14, 2018, i was driving on the freeway and a very scary situation happened while driving.my steering wheel suddenly tightened up and i felt, as though i was no longer in control of my car.i slowed down because i was not sure what was going to happen next.i managed to drive to a honda dearer.
At less than 600 miles, suddenly while driving at less than 30mph,transmission failure, in drive, operated like low gear. Car rattle, warning lights flashing: electric power steering, cylinder malfunction, tpms, and vsa.
The contact owned a 2016 honda accord. While driving around a bend at approximately 35 mph, the steering wheel seized without warning. The contact crashed into a telephone phone. The air bags deployed. The driver sustained injuries to the neck, back, right arm, and left knee that required medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was destroyed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 106.
I was driving my car when suddenly the steering wheel became very heavy and it was almost impossible to turn it to any direction. The hydraulic system stopped working without any warning. I was traveling at very slow speed (20 miles/h) on a very calm street. So i could manage to stop on the shoulder. I turn off the engine. After some seconds i turn on the engine and the steering wheel started working properly again. The fact is that if this had happened on the highway certainly the outcome would be an serious accident.
Lately, i decided not to drive my 2016 honda accord on the highway for safety precaution until the honda dealership does something about my car. I don't have full control of steering wheel about 40 mph.i took back four times, the dealership mechanic saw nothing wrong.i know it is steering issue.one would have to drive the car for a while to encounter the problem that am havingwith it.i will take it back after the holiday for a replacement.one way or another i will not keep on driving a car which represents a safety issue for me and others. The problem is felt on both, the city street and the highway.

The 2016 honda accord purchased brand new by my mom had the steering fail within two months of purchase and was towed to dealer. In september of 2019 the steering failed again. The extended warranty company approved non honda parts per the honda dealer. Mom picked up drove to the bank and it failed again. They put honda parts in and it failed yesterday but once turned off and on the steering reset. The dealer said nothing was wrong but regardless it happened again. The dealer said the computer showed nothing wrong so they released the car.we have documentation on all of this.

Car was purchased brand new from dealership in fort smith, ar. Upon inspection 10 days after purchase. (miles: 502)vehicle undercarriage and suspension had significant rust and oxidization damage. In this region of the united states- rust is very uncommon if not ever present, much less, on a brand new vehicle. After numerous attempts to work with american honda and the local dealership, they claim to have exhausted all efforts and have done all "repairs" they intend to do. The work done was only surface removal and since then, a rear oil leak has developed and the back seat door panels have separated from the body of the vehicle. Let it be known that i have been without a vehicle since the beginning of this process, june 3, 2016. This is unacceptable and unbelievable that a brand new vehicle has this extent of rust damage. I am a mechanic with over 40 years of experience and have never seen this type of damage on a vehicle, let alone a new purchase. If i would have known this would even be an issue, i would have inspected the vehicle before purchase. Because of it being a new vehicle, who would have expected this problem from a trusted vehicle brand such as honda?! i have made sure to document this thoroughly and have more than 70 photos for your review. Please contact me anytime for those or any additional documentation you might need.
I was driving going 45mph when the steering light came on and i lost power steering..i pull over and restarted the car and it went away and power steering work again..i took my car to honda for repair ..they can't find anything wrong with it..got the car back after two days ..drove it and the same issue happened ..now i'm afraid to drive my car because if it happen on highway i'll be in big trouble...
My wife was driving down the highway and without any indication of trouble the electric power steering failed. Car is extremely hard to turn without this. She barely made it to the side of the road.since we had to get to an exit i took over.the steering takes a lot of muscle to turn the vehicle because of the small steering wheel.i am glad i was with her.i researched and found honda had a big problem with this in 2013.they gave an extended warranty of 100,000 miles to these vehicles. I expect the same warranty extension.i have owned hondas since 1977 and many i have driven well beyond 190,000 miles without a problem like this.
While parallel parking in my neighborhood, the steering became stiff, to the point that the steering wheel could not be turned.
The contact owns a 2016 honda accord. While driving 25 mph, the steering wheel seized without warning. The vehicle was taken to be diagnosed, but was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 575. The vin was not available.
Travelling on interstate highway at speed limit of 70 mph.car started to drift to the left, started to try and ease back right into the lane and car went out of control right and off the road into the woods on the side of interstate and into trees.
The car drifts to the left and to the right after a few seconds. It has been aligned with all 4 tires balanced and rotated twice but the car will drift within a few seconds. The dealership wants to blame road crown for this and nothing with the steering of the car.
Without warning complete power steering loss on highway exit. Car fixed at dealer, steering failure again less than 24hrs after it was 'fixed'. So two steering failures in couple days.
Excessive wind noise at the b-pillar near ear-level on both the driver's and passenger's side.

Trunk opens by itself without any interaction from the key fob.this has happened on at least 5 different occasions in the past year of ownership.the vehicle was parked in front of my residence temperatures were between 40 and 70 degrees fahrenheit on the days it happened.
The contact owns a 2016 honda accord. While reversing at approximately 3 mph, the rear bumper on the contact's vehicle struck another vehicle. The rear driver's side of the contact's bumper was bent inwardly. There were no injuries and a police report was not filed. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the frame needed to be repaired. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 8,500.
Dropped my car off for oil change and routine maintenance. Millennium honda service crashed my car and caused obvious damage to the front end of my car . Plastic undercarriage pieces are flying off as i am driving . Dealership is neglecting to accept responsibility and fix my repairs, which they obvious caused . After endless phone calls , talking to ever manager i can, nothing is done. I asked for pics or video of my car while in their possession but the service manager, greg andrews gave me every excuse in the book whenever i asked him for the footage .
On 10/10/2019 (thursday) approximately 4:45 pm there was construction going on between exit 312 and exit 319 (clayton /fuquay) area hwy 40. Construction dropped a large load which sounded really loud and debris was blown in the air and covered my car with cement like stuff on my car. Its all over my windshield and body of my car.second time at 5:45 am in the morning on 10/15/2019 (tuesday)they are working again in the area, and their are large clouds of smoke coming up again and then i see later on in the day when i get into my car that i have this stuff on my car somemore. I was driving both times on the highway 40.
The clear coat comes off very easily, cheap paint. A 2016 car should not be having this problem so soon.
I pushed onbrakes and it acceleratedreal fast iturn to rightand it hit a fence then fence on other side of road i made thisturn 3 or 4 times and then it went thru a gate and hit thebackfence and the car still was trying to go cut off key.
Partitioned side view mirrors on my sport model makes me more confused than ever. It defeats the purpose of these mirrors. Honda you make things better, how in the world you thought it makes side viewing easier/clearer. This is classic example of "improvement for the worse". Also, honda used a cheap rearview mirror. Really did not expect this from honda.
I have brought the vehicle to the dealer as well as several auto body specialists. The paint is bubbling and peeling on the driver's side door, around the gas cap and on the frame around the trunk. Several online reports have been posted online and several other models from honda have had extended recalls on their paint warranty. The same extension should be applied to the honda accord and honda should be responsible for taking corrective actions as further failure of the paint to adhere will cause significant body damage, especially for owners like me who live in an area who use salt to treat their roads.
The contact owns a 2016 honda accord. The contact stated that the rear of the vehicle pulled in one direction while driving 30 mph. There were no warning indicators illuminated before the failure. The contact took the vehicle to gardena honda (15541 s western ave, gardena, ca 90249, (310) 660-7289) for diagnostic testing and repairs. Honda advised the contact that the vehicle needed a swaybar replacement; however, the part would have to be purchased aftermarket. The service manager at honda advised the contact that a tire alignment and a wheel bearing were needed. The contact spoke with the manufacturer and was informed to drop the vehicle off and get a third wheel alignment performed. The vin was unknown. The failure mileage was 23,000.
The contact owns a 2016 honda accord. While driving at various speeds, the sun shined through the front windshield and reflected off of the chrome finished console. The contact's vision was obscured. The failure recurred numerous times. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 30.
Hello, good morning, i want to make a complaint, i don't know if you can help me.what happened to my car was that i bought it at a major world dealership in long island city, which they told me that the car did not have an accident or total loss report, which turns out to be a lie after a few monthswith the car.i noticed that the car has total damage.hey, it even has part from another vehicle.i've tried to get him to help me, but he says it doesn't have to do with the car anymore.they also charged me a guarantee of 3,000 dollars and they do not want to cover what the vehicle has in conclusion;the car has a destabilizing rear rubber, the part of the trunk enters the water, the doors on the left side do not belong to the same vin number of the vehicle and a no number of thing.please, i ask you to help me since i am a young latino immigrant who wants to get ahead in the united states.right now i am using the vehicle because i don't have to go to work
My honda accord v6 2016 , during rain takes in water. The vehicle starting developing a foul odor inside just after a few months of purchase. After further investigation i found puddles of water under the rear seats. I brought the vehicle to babylon honda in new york where i purchased the vehicle from. The dealer kept the vehicle for seven days saw the puddles of water, and conducted test on the vehicle and yielding negative results. I was told they can't find where the vehicle is i taking water from. It's been a month now and the vehicle is starting to develop the same foul odor again. Let's see what honda has to say now.
Takata recallthe frame is corroded, the suspension veers to the left, windshield wipers do not provide visability, emission problems, transmission problems, front end alignment off, does not have door lock, does not accelerate past 60, car shakes
The contact owns a 2016 honda accord. The contact stated that the trunk inadvertently closed while open. The contact stated that she and her boyfriend were struck by the trunk on separate occasions. There were no injuries. The vehicle was taken to honda of fife (4301 20th st e, fife, wa 98424, (253) 922-2673), but the failure could not be duplicated. The manufacturer was notified and did not assist. The failure mileage was 10,600.
Issue 1: led strip on front headlight defective. Had two defective headlight led strips go out on my vehicle. Issue 2: chasis making squeaking sound when driving less than 5 mph driving on incline.
Vehicle makes a mild to moderate noise from the front wheel when traveling at low speed. The noise can be characterized as something rubbing together. It should like metal on metal. I just purchased this vehicle two weeks ago. I took it to honda. They claimed it was the rear pads and rotors. I still hear it and after a google search i noticed hundreds more people who bought 2016-17 models are affected with no fixes or acknowledge by honda. I'm concerned about the safety. I don't know what else to do. Thank you

Lots of vibration when idle with brakes. Vibration felt in my foot and steering wheel. Took to dealership twice and they claim that is how honda lx drive and other customers made same complaint. Too much vibration for a brand new car. It is not right for them to get away with these kinds of issue. Cannot enjoy new car experience due to this issue

Honda accord v6i have a 2011 and 2016 accord v6...when the road is wet (rain or light snow) or significant wind, the cars are all over the road, when i have brought the cars back to the honda dealership, they say the alignment is off, charge me for realignment, and say i am all set.4 or more times back with cars i have bought new, and every time i am traveling over 65 mph i feel i could crash at any time.the dealership acts like i am crazy.when i do net searches it seems all other owners have been silenced.anyone else having this problem?i drive tons of miles and know cars pretty well
I was driving my car under 25 mph on local road when the car suddenly accelerated and went off road causing sever damage to both wheels and undercarriage.
Veh making weird sounds coming from right front wheel area. "cracking, popping, squeaking"dealership fixed it and continues, next week dealership stated they would order more parts to repair it.then they found when they went to fix it the second time that the frame was bent and broken with rust and it is impossible to repair without repairing the suspension first. The cost to me $2,700.00.

Since day 1, have had issues witha noticeable clunking noise while going over bumps.after 4 repair attempts at a honda dealership that led to tightening of 'loose'(as per the mechanic and paperwork) nuts and bolts, adjustments of the rack, replacement of both front struts as well as replacement of the front steering rack, the noise continued. During the 5th repair attempt after meeting with an engineer from honda as well as the honda certified mechanic, the mechanic tells me that the subframe became unglued. The new design of the honda subframe is now glued and not welded, in order to make the vehicle lighter and more fuel efficient. I am told by a honda engineer that honda tech line is now aware of this issue(which tells me there hsve been numerous complaints). Even after the entire subframe was recently replaced, i continue to have front end issues with my brand new car including creaking and vibration. I am currently working with a lemon law attorney and now have had 5 repair attempts on this vehicle. This subframe issue certainly is a safety matter and failure of such could lead to catastrophic accidents. This has and continues to be an ongoing problem. The 'glued' subframes in these vehicles should be investigated.please note that this honda is their top of the line 'touring' model which has additional suspension parts for a smoother ride supposedly.i have all of my documentation from the dealership should you require it.
My tire pressure light comes onconstantly. Have taken to honda several times. Every time they think they fix it. It comes back on.it is really annoying and clearly not working. I should not have to keep going to honda for a problem they can not fix.usually takes 50 to 100 miles after taking it in to honda for light to come back on[xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

My backup camera stopped working when i took my car to the dealership to get an exterior replacement part. It worked fine when i dropped it off. Now the screen is completely black when you are in reverse but you can still see the backup camera lines. The dealership is trying to charge me $140 to even look at it. Somebody posted this exact complaint in july 2020. They stated that the camera housing might be letting condensation and water inside, causing it to short out. There are two additional complaints with the same issue from march 2020, one in february 2020, and one in january 2020. This is clearly a manufacturer issue that needs to be investigated.
Car shook every light came on lost brakes and burst into flames. I used emergency brake to stop vehicle. I was on ramp to expresseaylie on long island. Thankfully was right near shoulder and not going to fast other wise i wouldn't have been able to control car and may have hit another car tree or wall.car was melted and fire dept came and put it out.
The rear window is distorted when you look through it. It doesn't matter if it's sunny or raining out it looks all wavy. It also doesn't seem to matter whether the window is tinted or not. I think this is a safety hazardand you cannot see other vehicles clearly while looking through your rearview mirror. I have seen many other complaints so i think this is something hundred needs to address immediately before the accident occurs if it hasn't already.
Thanks
At 20,000 miles on vehicle bridgestone oem tires became unsafe as steel belts were warped, and unsafe to drive?bridgestone when contacted stated their policy is no warrantyon tires unless tread is down to 4/32 inch. Tires still had 8/32 in tread left.these tires are a hazard waiting to happen.honda would not address the issue.
When stopping car and foot is on the brake car attemps to lunge fwd on its own. When car is inneutral engine races. Car was in motionin traffic.
My sunroof glass exploded/shattered while driving on the highway. Nothing hit it; it just shattered. I assume it's due to the heat.
Radio display went blank after 2.5 years unable to see radio clock a d back up camera or phone information when bluetooth is connectedsystem stopped working when i was driving on the highway in december. Occasionally when driving i see green blue red lines go across the display screen.is there a recall?
The sunroof on my 2016 honda accord spontaneously shattered while i was driving down the freeway at aprox 70mph. It sounded like a lound pop. We were left with a giant hole in the center of the sunroof. The broken parts of the glass are angled upward as if it shattered from the inside up.we bought this vehicle brand new on 1/4/16 and this occurred on 1/15/16. We were driving on a desolate stretch of desert highway that is surrounded by absolutely nothing.
My collision avoidance system completely failed today.turn signals will not work.every avoidance system is non-functional.very unhappy with this new car feature!car was in motion on neighborhood street.
Rearview camera stopped working after warranty and needs replaced. Since the cost to replace is so high, i will just have to do without the camera. There was no damage to the camera. Its defective.
The trunk light activation switch was designed and placed where it is susceptible to damage though normal opening and closing of the trunk lid. Trunk. This allows the switch to become inoperative with the simple act of opening and closing the trunk multiple times. The car is obviously stationary . This does create a safety and visibility issue for anyone retrieving or placing items in the trunk. It also creates a safety issue when one may have to change a spare tire at night. Without an external lighting device, one must ' feel' their way to retrieve the spare tire and tools needed to change the spare tire .this issue has been described by multiple owners on social media sites and the honda. Accord owners site. Honda will repair but it is expensive and the issue with the switch will happen again under normal use.
I notice wind noise is very loud in this car. It sounds as if a window is slightly opened, although all the windows are closed. I can hear it even if i'm going 30 to 40 mph. When cars pass going in the opposite direction, you can hear each one as they pass more than you normally would. It makes for a very noisy ride in town so i can image how it will be once i drive on the highway. I have read 2 other customer complaints about this issue
Vehicle unexpectedly caught on fire! the whole car busted into flames without warning on the freeway
Tmps notified me that my tire pressure was low.i had tire plugged and i thought repaired.there is no manual way to reset the tmps system .one must drive at speeds 30 to 60 mph at least 30 minutes for the system to recalibrate . I only wasdriving short distances for not i'm long amount of time so iwas unaware that there actually still was a problem with my tire and was driving around with extremely low tire pressure . If i had a manual reset button i would be aware right away.i believe this is a safety hazard any manual reset button should be put on the vehicle.
2016 honda accord with about 40,000 miles.the instrument panel or display panel often locks after having iphone connected and using airplay.have to disconnect iphone and at times even turn off car to reset the instrument panel display.this is a hassle and if using maps can be inconvenient while driving.
The adaptive cruise control in my car malfunctions in rain/sleet conditions during winter months. A layer of ice forms over the sensors, and the car suddenly accelerates or maintains velocity without noticing the vehicle in front. It takes a few more miles and minutes till the acc is disabled warning pops up.
I was backing out of my driveway when the car seemed to speed up even though i was not pressing the gas. I struck my neighbors wall across the street, but not very hard.at that point i heard a roar.i didn't understand what it was at the time, but now i recognize it as the sound a car make if your pressing the gas with the car in park or neutral.i decided to pull back into my driveway to assesss the damage to my car.when i put the car in drive it roared forward. I pressed the brake as hard as i could but the car could not be stopped it crashed into the brick wall of my garage.the airbag deployed and i suffered cuts and bruises.my car was totaled.
My tpms light came on. I went and put air in the tires. I recalibrated and the light went off. The light came back on days later. I recalibrated and it was fine for another two days. Today it tpms came in and said failure. Tpms failure. This car was just purchased.
I made a complaint before not exactly sure of the date but it was in 2016.my complaint was my car almost stalls out.when i am stopped and start up again or make a turn the car feels like it is going to stall and i'm not the only one who told me that.my brother and sister-in-law drove my car and it happen to them.i've almost gotten hit in the rear end a few times because my car doesn't pick up.the last time a rep from honda told me to take the car into the honda dealer to check out the engine but the mechanic he only drove the car around the lot and said everything was ok but it doesn't happen every time and i told him that.i'm concerned that i will get eventually get rear ended and hurt. Most recent it happened again so that's why i'm complaining.so, please tell me what to do.thank you

The rear window is distorted which prevents a clear and accurate view of all objects behind the vehicle. This distortion affects the entire back window and it causes the objects viewed through the window to be wavy and distorted. Its effects are magnified in wet weather and at night. The distortion prevents the operator from accurately judging the size, speed and distance of the vehicles traveling behind the vehicle. The distortion occurs when the vehicle is moving and stationary. I inspected several similar accords at the dealer and they had the same distorted rear window. The service manager at the dealer acknolwedged the distortion, but claimed it couldn't be fixed.
Driver side door has rattling noise when driving over 70 mph and passenger side door has rattling noise when going over small bumps and dips in road going at least 25. It may be the windows while driving at higher speeds.
Back up camera stopped working. Upon placing car in reverse the camera screen is black the lines are still there but can not see an imagine
Car suddenly accelerates without foot being on accelerator.braking does not stop the vehicle.this has happened 3 times in last two years with damage to front of vehicle times two.past incident resulted only in some scratches.we checked with dealer for other reports and was told there had been none. All three times the brake had been applied because we were attempting to park the car
Bluetooth defect. Since new purchase in 2016 vehicle bluetooth is not compatible for i phone 7 making the hands free function un usable and a very bad distraction when driving.the dealer reaction to acknowledgedproblem was "nothing we can do till honda updates tech knowledge.for what ever reason honda has not updated system to be compatible with newer phone/s.i fear do to hondas slow or no response to issue a tragedy for someone somewhere will be inevitable, and it is a situation that honda or nhtsashould be able to be avoided with a simple update on the accord, and from what i read, other models. If honda won't make this right, hopefully the nhtsa can force them to fix this potential hazardous condition.
Android auto is not working for my car right from the day of purchase, is there any fix coming soon for this?
When i put the car in reverse and start backing up, the steering wheel locks up and it's like the car kills and turns on again while still in motion. The day before this happened my window was going up and down on its own and my car didn't want to lock and unlock with the remote.
I pushed onbrakes and it acceleratedreal fast iturn to rightand it hit a fence then fence on other side of road i made thisturn 3 or 4 times and then it went thru a gate and hit thebackfence and the car still was trying to go cut off key.
The battery has been replaced twice by the dealership. We are not leaving anything on.could it be the alternator?
Lots of vibration when idle with brakes. Vibration felt in my foot and steering wheel. Took to dealership twice and they claim that is how honda lx drive and other customers made same complaint. Too much vibration for a brand new car. It is not right for them to get away with these kinds of issue. Cannot enjoy new car experience due to this issue
While driving along interstate my sunroof exploded showering glass on the vehicles behind me and scaring me as the sound was so loud
The windshield get cracked and shattered too easily even with small chips on a road.
Hearing loud clank sound when shifting gear moving reverse and then shifting to drive gear to move, several times i asked to honda dealer seviceand they answer me the loud clicking sound is from shifting delay gear engagement, the sound still remaining.
Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).
My car makes this grinding noise before starting, i've replace the battery twice (2018,2020) and the starter june 2020.my car is back making the same grinding noise and would not start again.on my way back to the mechanical with the same issue.the car is stationary while i'm trying to get it started
The rear camera started off by being fuzzy two days ago; now, the camera is black. I noted that there was a recall for 2018 sedans, but the 2016 cars need to be checked as well. This is a safety hazard. The grid lines are available but with no image of the area. The camera is clean, so it is not about dirt.
My 2016 honda accord sedan air conditioning stopped working. The car has about 58,000 miles.i live in southern florida and driving without air conditioning can be very stressful and harmful to seniors. I am over 60 with many co morbidities.
My car keeps losing all power while im driving and then turns on.
When driving my daughter's car, i pulled into a parking spot and i hit the push button stop to turn off the vehicle. As i began to exit the car, it started to roll.fortunately, i was able to repostion my self to place my foot on the brake to prevent any damage or injury.i realize that i need to place the car in park prior to turning off the engine.however, this push button technology presents a sigificant hazard that should have a better safety feature.how about requiring that the emergency break be automatically engaged if the car is turned off while the car is in gear?a feature like this couldprevent needless injuries and damage.any vehicle with this push button start/stop technology without adequate safety featutes should be recalled and consumers should be immediately warned!
"takata recall" letter received from honda automobile division , torrance, ca.in reference to battery sensor case mountedon top the 12v battery, could cause electric shot and a fire.i have never been happy with my honda because of the road noise. Taken the car in several times and was finally advised it was a defect and could not be fixed.i paid cash and will never buy a honda again.i wish i could return it.i cannot hear anyone in the back seat while driving
My car is 4.5 years old with 44,000 miles and the back up camera has started acting strange . The lighting is very dim with lines through the picture appearing like the circuitry is dialing. This is very soon for such a new car and honda should be responsible
While parking in a residential parking lot at very low speeds, the car suddenly accelerated and braking did not stop the vehicle. The vehicle stopped only because it hit another parked car. Prior to this incident, both a aaa repair shop and a honda dealership examined the vehicle after the owner complained about two previous sudden acceleration incidents. The aaa shop drove the vehicle, found nothing wrong, and towed the car to a honda dealership. The honda dealership ran diagnostics and said there was nothing wrong with the car. The first sudden acceleration incident occurred in the same residential parking lot as the third sudden acceleration incident, but braking stopped the car the first time. The second sudden acceleration incident happened at a stoplight, and when the light turned green the accelerator pedal push caused an unusual surge in speed, but braking stopped the car. The third incident of sudden acceleration was not stopped by the application of the brakes, rather by crashing into another parked car on the other side of a grassy median.
I was driving approx 70 mph on the interstate hwy when i engaged the cruise control.shortly after that the car began braking.pressing the accelerator wouldn't disengage the cruise control.the car came to a complete stop in the middle lane of the interstate.only after turning off the engine and restarting was i able to drive.
The contact rented a 2016 honda accord. The contact stated that while parking the vehicle, it accelerated independently. The contact was able to stop the vehicle before it crashed. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 2,000.
I had 2 incidents of sudden acceleration on may 5, 2016 with my 2016 honda accord ex. I drove my car in my apartment complex 10:30 pm may 5, 2016 to pay rent, drove car home a few blocks.i put car in position to back into parking space. Car in reverse.car accelerated so fast, my car went flying over the curb, grass, sidewalk.put car into drive from reverse to stop car - it accelerated again!car shot straight into court.i put both feet on brake pedal - my brake lights were on (girl walking dog witnessed this).car was flying - i had nowhere to go - 3 apt buildings on left - 20 cars parked on right side.i used emergency brake to stop car - since brakes did not slow car down.i was about to hit tree head on - i saw last parking space empty.i swerved sharply to the right, pulled hard on emergency brake and stopped..the engine made terrible noise, burning oil, burning rubber from tires i had experienced runaway car or sudden acceleration caused by a malfunction in the electronics that control vehicle powertrain.since introducing electronics into throttle control, cases of sudden acceleration have risen dramatically.sudden acceleration is often reported in brand new vehicles like mine.there is no "proof" of this - at honda shop - unless engineer called in, which honda won't do.there is no fix for this.once this happens - it will definitely happen a 2nd time - some are killed, some in coma, paralyzed. I called the pioneer lawyer on "sudden acceleration" claims.he told me i was quite lucky cheating death by an inch, and i seemed so calm.the dealer has my car all week, no calls from anyone. Won't give me loaner car.i have had no car for 8 days now.i can't drive this car - so need to get honda to buy it back. Dealers will never admit to problem, blames sudden acceleration on innocent people.
I was driving my car under 25 mph on local road when the car suddenly accelerated and went off road causing sever damage to both wheels and undercarriage.
The contact owned a 2016 honda accord. The contact stated that while attempting to park the vehicle, the vehicle unintentionally accelerated without warning. The vehicle crashed into the contacts residence. The air bags did deploy. A police report was filed. No injuries were sustained. The failure was not determined. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was towed away by the insurance company. The manufacturer was contacted and they referred the contact to nhtsa. The vehicle was destroyed. The failure mileage was approximately 3,416. The vin was unavailable.
The contact owns a 2016 honda accord. While the vehicle was in reverse, it independently accelerated and crashed into a tree. The failure occurred without warning. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the rear driver side liftgate sustained damage and needed to be repaired. The vehicle was also taken to the dealer where the failure could not be replicated. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. A police report was not filed and there were no injuries. The failure mileage was approximately 8,000.
Travelling on interstate highway at speed limit of 70 mph.car started to drift to the left, started to try and ease back right into the lane and car went out of control right and off the road into the woods on the side of interstate and into trees.
Vehicle has experienced 7sudden acceleration surges during low speed driving events in which the vehicle is being stopped. The brake pedal is depressed and the vehicle is slowing to a stop when it will suddenly, unexpectedly and without warning surge forward as the engine revs. Given the repeated events the operator must maintain vigilance when stopping and be prepared to maintain firm and increased brake pressure when the event occurs. The vehicle was evaluated by honda at a honda dealership. No faults or problems were identified and the vehicle declared problem free. The events have been occurring with increasing frequency since the first occurrence.the events occur in parking areas. The first event caught the operator by surprise and resulted in the vehicle surging forward and impacting a sign at a curb in a parking area in front of a building. The vehicle was in the shop on may 11, 2017.
As i was pulling into a parking space the car suddenly accelerated on it own. My foot was not on the gas pedal as i had braked to turn left into the space. The car went over the concrete parking block and hit the concrete wall which is about 1-2 feet behind the block, the impact caused the airbag to deploy.the weather was cloudy but the pavement was dry. I purchased this accord used, in august, 2016, from a local honda/acura dealer & it had approx. 9200 miles on it..at the time of this event there was 16,552 miles on the car.the only maintenance done was an oil change, and outside of the tmp light, no indicator lights had come on to prompt me for additional maintenance or repair. The damage caused by this event was sufficient that the insurance company determined the car to be a total loss.
When the vehicle was shifted into reverse, it experienced independent acceleration and crashed into a steel cable. The failure occurred without warning. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was repaired; however, a diagnosis was not provided. A police report was not filed and there were no injuries. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 6,000.
I was parking my 2016 honda accord in a shopping center. As i was slowly inching forward to park, the car suddenly accelerated on its own (without me pushing the accelerator) and went forward so fast it went over a retaining wall that separated us from an adjoining shopping center and dropped about 4-5 ft down into that adjoining parking lot. The airbags deployed and caused us injury. The car is most likely totaled at this point (waiting to find out from my adjustor). The acceleration was sudden and extreme. I didn't have time to hit the brakes. It was a matter of a split second before we were thrown into the other parking lot. (attaching a picture so the scene of the accident makes sense)note: i do not have access to the car right now so i am guessing my mileage because there was not an option to indicate "unknown" on the form.
When the engine is cold there is a sudden acceleration when the vehicle is in reverse or forward and in motion normally in a parking lot or backing out of my garage.
Daytime running light is out.
When you put the gear on r. Revier camera is not functional in sunny day when the shade is on the bumper. You cannot tell where is the bamper and where is the shade. You can hit the aobject or person behind the car using this camera.see pictures.
There appears to be a problem with distorted glass being used in the rear windows of 2016 honda accords. Looking through the rear window of my accord sport, vehicles and especially lane markings appear out of focus and wavy. The problem is even worse in rainy conditions. This makes it difficult to determine the proximity of vehicles behind me, especially in heavy traffic conditions. Honda's district service manager acknowledged the problem without even asking to see my car. He called it "characteristic" of the accords and claimed they all have varying levels of distortion. However, honda refused to offer a replacement window.
2016 honda accord ex - 100 miles driven.the partition/split in the driver side rear view mirror distorts the view which makes it very hard to see approaching vehicles. The mirror is not safe and should be replaced asap with a regular mirror.not sure how honda's engineers could develop such a dangerous mirror.
Rear view camera is totally useless in situations where there is a mix ofbright sunlight and shade conditions.the dynamic range of the camera isn't large enough to provide a clear picture of what is behind you.you get a blown out picture with no detail in the sunlit areas and blacks in the shade areas.i've had other cars with backup camera systems and this is the worst excuse for one i've ever seen.
Driver side door has rattling noise when driving over 70 mph and passenger side door has rattling noise when going over small bumps and dips in road going at least 25. It may be the windows while driving at higher speeds.
The accord 2016 model has a very bad distortion in the back windshield - where one headlight/light will be reflected/shown as multiple. It is worse at night, and is very unsafe to drive with. The pictures reflect (to a minimum) how it appears. It is a huge distraction because there are lights everywhere when you look at your rearview mirror, and also is unsafe because it is not accurate as to where the exact light is coming from. It seems to be from the defroster lines, but i have not had this problem with any other cars i have owned before.
The driver's side mirror is the worst idea in the world how is it that no one is not able to see just how bad/dangerous that mirror is i have had three close calls count them three in one day of driving in hi traffic i need this replaced.
The contact owns a 2016 honda accord. While driving approximately 60 mph, an explosive noise was suddenly heard. The contact noticed that the sun roof shattered. There were no injuries. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and the sun roof was replaced. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 14,000.
The backup camera has stopped working.for a few weeks it would intermittently turn work, and now it has stopped working completely.when i put the car in reverse, the screen dash is black with the overlay image of lines showing distances still appearing but no camera image.it is being reported on the internet that it is believed this is due to the camera housing allowing condensation and moisture getting in causing a short.the system appears like it is trying to show the camera image, but it is not getting a signal like it has shorted out.
Driver-side side-view mirror is split into a flat and convex parts. This is eye-stress inducing and is not natural to look at.please replace with proper blind spot system.
Transmission( cvt) vibrates around 20 to 45 mph.rear window is distorted. (wavy vision through window)
My car is 4.5 years old with 44,000 miles and the back up camera has started acting strange . The lighting is very dim with lines through the picture appearing like the circuitry is dialing. This is very soon for such a new car and honda should be responsible

The split in the driverside rear view mirrior is deceiving u cannot see traffic on coming very well on driver side i want to rip it out and replace the mirror glass very unsafe.
Front windshield has what look like hard water spots and in the sunlight you cannot hardly see out. The dealer has said they acid cleaned this and some of it was removed. Now it has returned making driving into the sun impossible. Car is always in garage and it does not rain in albuquerque so it is some kind of defect in the windshield glass. I will ask the it be replaced this trip to dealer as only 9500 miles.
The rear window glass has wave in it that makes visibility poor and the view is distorted.
The 'driver's side expanded view' mirror is confusing to look at and not safe. A solution would be to replace this mirror with a regular mirror the driver can adjust.the camera view for the passenger mirror should have an option to turn it off. Night driving is difficult because of the vehicle lights.otherwise this is a great car!
The contact owns a 2016 honda accord. The contact stated that the rear window was distorted. As a result, the contact's vision was obscured. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the rear window was distorted and needed to be repaired. The vehicle was not repaired because honda informed the dealer not to replace the window because they did not have new equipment. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 70. Updated 01/06/17*lj updated 7/13/18

My car makes a screeching sounds whenever i turn the car to the left while driving.i took it to the dealer twice for repair.the first time they stated it was a plate behind my wheel, and the problem was fixed. I took the car back the second which was approximately 3 days from the first time i was told honda and the tire company was investigating to see who was at fault. I am still waiting to get this issue repaired.
Thank you
This 2016 honda accord touring of mine makes screeching noise at 20 mph or lower when i turn left.
A grinding noise coming from the front driver side wheel on acceleration. Usually cant hear it at highway speeds but anywhere from start to40 mph is very noticeable. When close to a building or when your window is down, it is very clear and constant while reversing or slowly in motion.
Metallic scraping noise in all four wheels, most noticeable at low speeds, in the front drivers side.dealer claims this is due to continental tires, that came new with the car.dealer claims this cannot be repaired, and will not replace the tires.
Hello, good morning, i want to make a complaint, i don't know if you can help me.what happened to my car was that i bought it at a major world dealership in long island city, which they told me that the car did not have an accident or total loss report, which turns out to be a lie after a few monthswith the car.i noticed that the car has total damage.hey, it even has part from another vehicle.i've tried to get him to help me, but he says it doesn't have to do with the car anymore.they also charged me a guarantee of 3,000 dollars and they do not want to cover what the vehicle has in conclusion;the car has a destabilizing rear rubber, the part of the trunk enters the water, the doors on the left side do not belong to the same vin number of the vehicle and a no number of thing.please, i ask you to help me since i am a young latino immigrant who wants to get ahead in the united states.right now i am using the vehicle because i don't have to go to work
I was driving my car under 25 mph on local road when the car suddenly accelerated and went off road causing sever damage to both wheels and undercarriage.
I bought this brand new vehicle from team honda milton, ontario, canada and within the first week the tpms alert got triggered. Since then i went to the dealership twice and all they did was changed the tire pressure. They have also acknowledged the fact that the tire pressure didn't change from my first visit. It got triggered again last week and i contacted the dealer again and since then i have heard nothing from them. Apparent it seems that they have sold me a new car with a defective tpms system and now they are not willing to fix the issue. The tire pressure looks fine on visual inspection and i am also told that the tire has nitrogen in it. Tpms is an important feature as far as road safety is concerned and if it gives fake alerts every 3/4 days then it becomes a real issue. I am extremely concern about my safety in this car and also quite concerned about the business attitude of this dealership. I would highly appreciate if i can get any kind of guidance/help from your side.
The firestone affinity touring tires on my 2016 honda accord would not grip on a dusting of snow and ice! (less than one inch!) the tires would spin and slip on a slight incline out of a driveway at my local drugstore! other cars where passing me by with no problem. When coming home and slowly turning into my parking garage, the tires started to slip and skid! i have been driving for many years and this is the first time i have ever experienced this problem with any other vehicle or tire brand!these are low resistance tireswhich grip well on dry pavement but do not grip in the snow! i have read other reports from people that this brand of tire gave them the same problem. In short, these tires should not have been factory installed on this vehicle unless it was to be sold in a dry climate region!i am now paying for a car i cannot use in the snow and am having a hard time at the dealership nowto resolve this issue!it's funny that all the honda accords i have seen in dealerships and on the street have goodyear or michelin tires on them! not firestone!
Honda accord sport because of its safety and i am afraid that it could hurt myself and my family. I hope honda can do do anything to fix it or compensate me for those two incidents. Anything honda can do would be greatly appreciated.i am awaiting your reponse.
