New 2018 honda accord hybrid makes low frequency "buzzing" noise while parked in garage several hours after 30 minutes or more ride.buzzing noise not heard immediately after engine shut off.noise not heard until serendipity accessing garage at least two hours after engine shut off.multiple occasion "buzzing" sound located in trunk where lithium batteries are!
Honda accord hybrid 2018:1. Repeatedly at random intervals during hot weather i hear loud buzzing vibration sound coming from area housing high voltage lithium ion battery!!! over the past one year. Always while parked after driving.i fear over heating or fire from high voltage lithium ion battery!!!honda dealer response:we don't hear any noise now.we have no way to check high voltage battery.2. October 2018 honda accord hybrid recalls for "high voltage lithium ion battery" were for computer reset codes(????)whatever that means.3.neither honda nor nhtsa show any concern!help! is there anyone else out there with a honda accord hybrid who hears this loud buzzing vibration from the high voltage battery?anyone else fear fires from the high voltage lithium ion battery?4.high voltage lithium battery never achieves full charge!never holds more than 3 bar segments out of 10 for charge.
Bought 2018 honda accord hybrid new july 2018. Initial tank of gas mpg 56! ever since mpg in 30s. Gas engine runs car 90% of time!ev motor rarely comes on!essentially not a hybrid!gauge for high voltage battery always at (3) out of (10) bars - never fully charges!owner's manual says low lithium ion battery charge can shorten life of lithium batteries!honda dealer service department where purchased says, "we don't know much about the hybrids."!!!he says "winter gas" lowers the gas mileage"!i said its a hybrid, 'winter gas' doesn't affect the electric motor!honda dealer says again that they don't know much about honda hybrids!1. Is my new 2018 honda accord hybrid high voltage lithium battery dead or dying already?2. Why doesn't the ev motor come on?isn't it supposed to be a hybrid?3. Why doesn't honda instruct dealer service departments on how hybrids work?3. Why doesn't honda support its own hybrid models?
On my way back to home in san diego ca in late jan 2019 the panel started showing warning signs like brake system light on, adaptive cruise control/road departure mitigation/lane keeping assist system (lkas) lights are all on saying failure. This was the second time for my around 2000 miles accord hybrid. The first time it was able to resolve by re-power on the car but second time it was completely failed. Then i went back to dealer the other day and it turned out the multipurpose camera did not work properly under rain and low temperature (it was just typical san diego winter) so they replaced one. It is extremely dangerous since i have seen people reported the same issue everywhere. After the replacement the auto-highbeam started working as well, before i didnt even know it was not working. I purchased a new 2018 honda accord hybrid on june 30, 2018 from honda of kirkland for my daughter.on monday, february 25, 2019, when she was driving back from class on a road at 35 mph, the collision mitigation system brake warning flashed then braked immediately, stopping the car in traffic.no obstacles or cars were in front of her. Fortunately, the cars behind her were far enough away that they were able to stop.in addition, she tried to get out of the way of traffic by pressing the accelerator, but the car would not respond for several moments after the automatic braking occurred.she also told me that the brake warning had been coming on often when nothing was in front of her.in addition, the lane departure feature has been malfunctioning, trying to pull her to the left lane into oncoming traffic when driving on curving roads.the car is currently at the honda dealership, but the only thing they found was "a little dirt" on one of the sensors, stating that there was nothing wrong with the honda sensing system.i have found class action lawsuits filed against honda for faulty collision mitigationsystems on at least two of their models (accord & crv).in addition, i have found pages of results for these problems with honda and acura (honda corporation) when simply typing in "collision mitigation system problems".please see the links below. *dtconsumer requested to add the following linkhttps://www.classlawgroup.com/honda-accord-collision-mitigation-sytem-class-action-lawsuit/
I was slowly pulling into my garage to park.when i pressed on the parking break, the car revved to full speed, slammed into garage and would not respond to the brakes, or any attempt to turn off the ignition or to control the car, including failure of the automatic emergency braking, forward collision or parking collision to function, even though they were all turned on.when "park" was depressed, with the engine still revving at a high speed, the car flew full speed into reverse into the driveway, spun in a circle then flew through the driveway elevated concrete divider, through the neighbors fence and was stopped by a large boulder under the driver's side of the vehicle. The engine was smoking and revving and did not immediately stop.the driver's side air bag had deployed and the door was jammed.i crawled out of the passenger side.the neighbor into whose yard the vehicle went, witnessed the incident.another neighbor rushed to the car with a fire extinguisher, disconnected electrical wiring and sprayed the engine.thecar had gone totally out of control.it took the towing service 2 hours to get the car out of the yard.my insurance company determined the car to be a total loss.recently, the collision center where the car was eventually taken, completed an analysis of the car's computer and determined there had been multiple computer system failures leading to the car becoming uncontrollable. Fortunately, i was not seriously injured.had this happened in a busy area, there could have been a much more disastrous result with deaths.the police arrived but did not file a police report as the incident was on private property and there was no one seriously injured.*dt

Honda accord hybrid 2018 with 7439 miles. I was driving on the highway back home from work . Suddenly car starts to flush messages that all car systems fails and it needs to be towed to dealership immediately. Car stopped to response to controls including acceleration and starts to slows down from 70 mph to 25 mph. At that time i realized that the only option would be to pull over on the shoulder. I did it to be able to stay away from traffic and call emergency service. After approximately 75 minutes i was towed away to nearby dealership (manchester honda, ct). As of this morning i don't have any information from them.i was totally shocked on car behavior and think this is not acceptable for car with 7439 miles and only 7 month old.
I'm barely reaching close to 6000 miles and i'm already hearing clunk sounds on my suspensions when i slowly go into a dip or drive across a bump, now sometimes the engine would have this rattling sound when i accelerate between 2000-3000 rpms and sometimes when i remove the parking brake and go reverse the braking system would randomly brake on me violently and put it on park. I bought the vehicle at 84 miles.

Parking at nursery shop, car went out of control speeding and running over the concrete stoper and nursery fence. It was a sudden acceleration and vehicle could not be stopped. The car was moving in slow motion to park and had a sudden acceleration that caused the accident. Very scary. Tried to stop pressing the brakes but the car would not respond. No injuries but it could happen to anyone anywhere.

Our car's brake lights failed at night in orland park, il, luckily another driver alerted us that they were unlit and not operating during braking. We also noticed the collision avoidance system had failed, called our dealer & brought the car in for repair the next morning (jan. 14, 2019); we received a loaner since this was a major safety issue (it took two days for parts to be available).honda told us the brake lights failed due to a defective radar sensor. I have contacted honda several times to urge them to fix this bug, as brake lights should always work and not be controlled by software. Honda has refused to acknowledge that this safety defect needs an immediate fix, so i am documenting it so the us dot can pressure them to fix it as rapidly as possible.

The steering wheel is not a smooth transition from 12 o'clock to 1 o'clock or to 11 o'clock. It is as if the pavement is uneven or as if the steering wheel is stuck at 12 o'clock.this is not safe on the highway and especially in the rain. It hasn't snowed yet but i would imagine it is going to very difficult to drive it safely in the snow with this major issue.
Steering wheel sticks at 12 o'clock, then finally breaks free to the left or right after applying significant pressure. The resulting jerk of the vehicle is very unsafe on the highway, and very difficult to maintain straight travel. Honda dealer identified the steering gear box binding and replaced it. The repair resolved the issued. Honda needs to issue a bulletin or recall on this for the safety of other owners.
The windshield on my 2018 honda accord hybrid touring cracked spontaneously while it was being backed out of a downtown parking space. It has fewer than 7,500 miles on it. I'm told there is a 4 to 8 month backorder for an oem replacement- the only kind that honda will accept if i'm to maintain their warranty.
In less than 5,000 miles i've had 2 cracked windshields that show no sign of pebble or stone impact and cracked while the car was not being driven.both cracks started in approx. The same place of the left and right side pillars.each instance costs approx. $1400 to replace the windshield (includes camera recal).you can find numerous instances on the internet of basically the same thing happening to other accord (and hybrids) owners.this is a safety issue because it could affect the safety systems mounted in the windshield.either the glass is speced wrong or defective or the design is torqueing the glass more than its designed to handle.

While accelerating onto a highway between 35 and 60mph, this vehicle occasionally exhibits a roaring sound that can fool the driver into believing that a large truck has come upon them and is immediately to one side or the other. This created an unsafe situation in my case when i took my eyes off the road ahead the first several times the noise occurred to visually search the sides for a closely approaching vehicle that did not actually exist. Honda has verified this roaring noise problem on my vehicle as well as numerous other 2018 accord hybrids, but has failed to correct the problem, informing me only that they are "searching" for a solution to the problem. I am used to the roaring noise now, and know when to expect it, but if someone else drives my car they will more than likely react in an unsafe manner exactly as i did during the first few noise occurrences.

While driving at highway speed, the sunroof exploded. No object struck the glass to cause the damage. There was very little glass inside the vehicle and the explosion appears to have been outward.

The contact owns a 2018 honda accord hybrid. The contact stated that while approaching his driveway, he depressed the brake pedal to stop but without warning, the vehicle accelerate forward and crashed into his garage as the contact placed the vehicle in park. The vehicle reversed down the drive way went through a fence crashed into a bolder which stopped the vehicle. The vehicle was still revving and an odor was coming from the tires. The driver side door air bag deployed however no other air bags deployed. No injuries were sustained. A police report was not made due to private property regulation. No medical attention was needed. The vehicle was towed to an independent towing lot however at this moment the vehicle was not been inspected. The dealer sunset honda (12250 los osos valley rd, san luis obispo, ca 93405 (805) 250-4998) was contacted and informed the contact to contact the manufacturer. The manufacturer was contacted however no response was made to the voice mail message that was sent from the contact. The failure mileage approximately 15,500.*ck*dt

We purchased our honda in late oct within the first week of owning it we hit a small pot hole while turning left on a country road. We were going fairly slow because we were turning and two tires on the passenger side blew out. Thinking this was just some weird one time thing we got both tires replaced and sadly within the next month we blew 2 more tires both tires on passenger side again. This time we were travelingabout 35 and as we were entering onto hwy coming up the on ramp, we hit another pothole. Neither time when the tire blew did we only blow one tire. It is strange to lose two tires at the same time especially more than once . After talking to dealer we found that these tires have very thin sidewalls so they weigh less. They said this is to help with gas millage.my concern is if this happened at higher speeds this could cause car to roll or lose control. In my 40 plus years of driving i have never even lost one tire due to hitting a pot hole prior to this vehicle. So to lose 4 tires withing a couple months of purchase really concerns me. We have upgraded our tires now to the thicker sidewalls but i wanted to let others know to be cautious.
Yesterday(01-13-2018) around 5.45 pm when i am my wife just enter in highway 70 west towards indianapolis, i heard big sound without touching any object. I called tows by the help of police and today i knew when visited body workshop.my rim was busted without touch any object. I didn't see any air pressure sign or any problem before this busted. I andmy wife just enter in highway 70 west towards indianapolis, near 156 exit.. I heard big sound without touching any object. My car was very hard to balance and lucky i succeeded to safe our self.the busted sound from driver side of passenger wheel.this car has new and bought only 2-3 month ago.and only 3300 miles i called tows by the help of police and t i knew when visited body workshop.my wheelrim ( passenger side - behind driver seat) was busted without touch any object.i didn't see any air pressure sign or any problem before this busted. This look seriously manufactured problem in this car rim and wheels in 2018 honda hybrid. I would like to request for recall and investigate car all wheel including rims and tires. This is verydangerous defect and time to recall and fix the problem.
An ongoing problem with the tire pressure monitor system (tpms) not working as it was intended. I have received a warning indication, when driving, that my tire pressure was low. I have checked the tire pressure and found that it was exactly where it should be.obviously, this is most disconcerting when this occurs. It happened this past weekend. Fortunately, i now carry a tire gauge and was able to determine that the warning light was in error.i have addressed this issue with the honda dealership from which i purchased this vehicle new. Obviously, their "fix" was not the solution.
