I went to check status of my motor home park at my home and fully hooked up ,which i do at least twice a week as week keep food in the freezer. When i entered the motor home i smelled a strange oder and the refrigerator control was beeping and flashing a code l1 op . I came in the house to check the code on the computer, and found it was a cooling unit sensor was bad and it was on recall for my unit and to turn everything off and unplug refrigerator. I went out and took the panel to unplug the refrigerator . That when i noticed the cooling unit was on fire and smoldering. I unplugged the refrigerator and tore out the smoldering insulation . If i had not went out to check my motor home would have probably burnt up. I notified norcold and sent them a pictures and my case is under review case # 8188. My unit # s 9322513 and cooling unitis 12914586 and is a 1200lrim model.. The recall is for s/n 315525 to 13088811 . Everyone should be alerted before it's to late
