We were driving our holiday rambler ambassador 2012 36 foot diesel motorhome on a trip.at the end of a driving day, a warning light (regen) came on.tried to run a regen per the manual, but conditions did not allow.the next day, started fine, no warning light so continued to travel.after less then a mile, the light came on, the engine stopped and would not restart.had to be towed over 50 miles to a repair location.after some trial and error, finally got a qualified diesel mechanic who determined the problem.he replaced 3 defective parts; the egr valve, emi valve and kt valve (after only 28,000 plus miles on our international diesel engine!)the mechanic was able to properly run a regeneration and we were once again able to travel.our extended warranty we purchased of course cleverly included the 'emission components' in the exclusion category even though we were left in a very vulnerable situation.we then had to handle the complete bill for repair and a 4 day delay.
This complaint is referenced to odi # 10550320 on which i put the wrong vin number.this complaint is about the manufacture not install hand holder on the right side entering the motorhome and making this a safety hazard.## vin passed ## 2012 holiday rambler ambassador motorhome ##
