Wiring connection on the hot water heater was not made sufficiently which led to the wire being melted.the electrical burning smell was quickly found and power was turned off to the tank to prevent further burning.the unit was not moving and was setup in a campground.*dt*dt
The contact owns a 2017 heartland mallard. The contact stated that after the vehicle was parked over 24 hours, it was informed that the vehicle caught on fire. A fire report was filed and it was determined that the fire originated from the led lights. The fire was extinguished out by another observant contact. No injuries were sustained. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The vin was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 16v566000 (electrical system). The manufacturer was attempted to be reached but was not notified.the failed mileage was approximately 300.
The contact owns a 2017 heartland mallard rv. The contact stated that the slide pulley cable system that operated all three sides had detached from the wall due to a mechanical defect. The contact stated that the other two slide pulleys were also detaching from the wall. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that all three of the slide pulley mechanical systems failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that they would take full responsibility for the faulty pulley system. The approximate failure mileage was 0. The vin was not available.
