2007 harley road glide. The housing for stator fails. Cracks inner primary. In some cases. The major compliant is that there is only a up grade kit that costs $479.00. Not to include tax an labor. It has been known to just lock up motor. How can this not be a recall as of yet the or off is there upgrade kit!!! it's not if it happens but when!!! . I have many complaints on the 96" motors but the worst is the cam plays need to be upgraded the best that makes the is fueling r&d.thet really need to step up an make good on these recalls. It appears they or someone are not making this known. This bike is on its tenth year. An they never put on recall list. Thank you for your attention in this matter. The contact owns a 2007 harley-davidson tri glide fltr. While driving various speeds, the drive belt malfunctioned and became misaligned. In addition, the bearings that held the pivot shaft together exhibited premature excessive wear. An unknown dealer was contacted about the failure. Another unknown dealer inspected the vehicle and determined that the bearings were faulty. The contact inspected the vehicle and found that the bearings contained fragments of rubber and metal. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 9,000.
Excessive heat is coming up below the seat and at the foot boards during operating vehicle.i have had my pants material catch on fire once and the heat is so severe i cannot even ride the motorcycle in the summer from fear of a heat stroke.
Right side of h/d fltr very hot burned skin without touching any part of the motorcycle.
2007 harley davidson fltr engine runs extremely hot. Exhaust pipes under seat run extremely hot. Burned fabric in pant leg while sitting normally on seat.

The contact was able to stop the vehicle using the frontal brake. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure and the current mileages were 75,000. ....updated 08-24-12 the consumer stated the brake switch failed after it shorted and melted. I inspected the failed part it had obvious damage on the exterior and appeared to have melted. The failed brake light switch fluid leak and immediate failure.08/31/2012

6 speed transmission on a 2007 harley davidson fltr road glide causes transmission to rattle like it has rocks in it. The entire motorcycle shakes.
