While riding my motorcycle (recorded mileage 1800km) the engine began to vibrate badly and pour oil......which went over my back tire. Stopped safely and found that the crankcase sensor had failed. This was my first ever harley, a cvo road king, 2007 and 1600km on the clock. Took it in - under warranty.crank run out was right side .004" left side .001".harley have said 'not an issue' and refused to replace.they claim that the crank sensor supplier was changed because of failure issues and i had the old version.particles from the sensor blocked oil ways, caused a build up of pressure in the crank case which blew the sensor out.this is a known issue and in the us, similar reports led to an engine replacement under warranty.my engine was also awaiting a 0906 recall for head gaskets, cranknut and acrs...........it appears that harlew increased crank tolerances to prevent further warranty claims for this issue.
