I was doing 70 (mph) east hwy 52 and i heard a loud pop and my motorcycle (h-d) started going out of control.i thought it was a rear wheel blow-out, i was lucky to keep it undercontrol and pulled over to the shoulder next to the #1 lane.a friend was riding behind me on his h-d and saw the whole thing.after we stopped, we looked at the rear wheel and did not see any thing visible.although my friend saw my rear wheel wobble and he thought i was going down.i called america roadside assistance to pick me up and take the bike to san diego harley davidson (sdhd) store on morena blvd.we had a difficult time getting it on the towing truck do to we found out the rear wheel was partially seized.i have the work-orders and repair documents i would like to send you via email, this url site or mail them to you.in short, sdhd replaced my rear wheel, bearings & associated parts, and rotor under warranty. Now, i just had my bike in to replace my rear tire and the technician found my rear bearings are going out again!the mileage on my motorcycle was 8,755 miles (february 21, 2015), and there replacing my rear wheel bearings again.i found out that h-d bearing that are manufactured for the dyna low rider are made in south korea.if you went to some h-d forums and asked about bearing you would get several hits.please advise, because i think this is a real safety issue for two wheel motorcycles!a real danger due to possible future mechanical failure of bearings!work order numbers in first to last as follows: #954659 and #957495.
