My yukon's dash is cracked in several places, some extending 14 inches interfering with the passenger airbag. This is a safety concern for myself and my family. The second large crack is located above and behind the steering wheel on the dashboard as well. Nothing was dropped or anyway i or my family cracked it. After researching, this is a common issue with my make model and year. I believe gm should own this defect and protect its loyal drivers and consumers, rather than wait and see if an airbag doesn't deploy properly, god forbid, risking the lives of innocents. I served my country in iraq because i chose to, gm can choose to defend its consumers as well. Even a discount on repair or replacement would be appreciated as i know people just expect everything to be given to them. Thank you for your consideration

"takata recall"contacted gm dealer in baton rouge louisiana and was told there are no fixes to this recall.what do i need to do to ensure my employees safety while operating this vehicle

Takata recall- i am stull waiting for the repair on my airbags. I havent been in an accident and surely dontwant to get injured with the faulty airbags!!!!

The dashboard is cracked from the drivers side to the passenger side in multiple places on top of and along side of the inner airbags and under a collision these pieces of the dash could and in my opinion and the opinion of gm body repairman will very likely become a flying projectile causing possible injury or death to occupants. I am requesting immediate replacement or repair of this unsafe situation before turning it over to council for recovery. Also be advised that all precautions were taken to protect the dashboard with use of windshield sun deflectors/shades.

Cracking dash board around passenger airbag

This air bag danger has been going on for a while. I contact the dealer and no action to fix. They indicate no solution and no parts to repair at present.

Tamara recall: was informed by both the dealership and gmc customer service that there is no remedy at this time and no time frame a repair will be available. I was informed not to have a passenger in the front passenger seat of my vehicle in case of a fronttill impact the airbag could cause death or serious bodily injury. So in summing it up. I can't have anyone in the front passenger seat. Really that's the best answer from takata, gmc, and the highway admin.

Dash is cracked near passenger air bag and obove instrument cluster. This dash has already been replaced one time by gm for the same problem.

Takata recallgm and takata have not resolved this remedy. I've checked twice a year for the past four years and get nowhere on replacing the defective recall from the gm dealer.

A crack appeared on the front dash next to the passenger side airbag. The vehicle was stationary and cracked overnight. I'm concerned about the airbag working properly.

Takata recall. The air bags in the vehicleare dangerous and gm still has not replaced them

Takata recallafter receiving a notice regarding the recall i contacted a local gmc dealer.i was told that takata has filed chapter 11 in the u.s. So the parts for this potentially deadly airbag recall are not available while "things get sorted out".that doesn't make me feel very comfortable as this is a vehicle driven by me or my wife with our 3 children inside.

The dash has cracked all away the cross of the pad and now has cracked producing jagged plastic shards around the airbag compartment

Takata recall -- complaint:general motors has failed to offer a schedule, parts and a procedure to repair passenger side takata air bag problem after 6 years!please help?

Takata recallhave not gotten them replaced as of nov--called twice

2011 gmc yukon.consumer writes in regards to replacement parts not available to repair front passenger airbag recall, dealership refuses to repair multiple cracks in dashboard.

My dashboard is cracking for no reason.there is a crack where the passenger side airbag is installed.i'm concerned that in the event of an accident, items like the speaker in the dash board will become projectiles.i am also concerned that if the airbag deploys then potentially shards of broken plastic will also be flying through the cabin.

Dashboard has cracked in multiple places. Mainly around the passenger airbag and instrument cluster.

Takata recall : i've contacted my local dealer and they say they're waiting on parts, its been months (original recall almost 2 yrs) and i can't get my recalled vehicle fixed.

Takata recall. I am unable to get the airbag replaced due to a lack of replacement units. I called today and the dealer(days chevrolet) does not have replacement units. My original notice from gmc is dated july 2016. I discussed the issue with gmc in january 2017 and they said no parts were available. I have called three other times in the period of time up to now. No parts. Why is there not a plan to address this serious safety issue? it is now two years from the first notice.

Cracked dash on my 2011 yukon. When i paid almost $50,000 for a new vehicle i expect it to last longer than 70,000 miles before it starts breaking. My dash is cracking in the same place as the rest of the world. It is only a matter of time when my air bag is going to explode because of the dash and one of my children will be injured. Is that what it's going to take?

The contact had not experienced a failure. Vin tool confirms parts not available.

Takata recalli have been trying to get this recall remedied by to no avail.i am constantly being told remedy not yet available.

I too have the cracked dashboard in my 2011 gmc denali. Not only is it a safety hazard, because apparently its a labor intensive job no one will take on the task of fixing it. I bought the replacement dash and i cant find anyone to install it. The rattle noise it create is unimaginable as now a locking clip has broken. I'm totally at a loss as to what to do. It has also decreased its trade in value. I went to buy another vehicle and they dropped the value by 2,000.00 because of the dash. My only hope is that i don't end up in an air bag incident as i'm confident the dash will shatter and launch projectile pieces.

Dash severely cracking. Has not been involved in any accidents it just started on it's own and is gradually getting worse. I notice it more and more every time i get in my truck. I noticed it probably sometime last year. There is also a facebook group with so many other people this is happening too. I think gmc is using cheap defective materials! https://m.facebook.com/groups/251892298253/

I am the original owner of this yukon denali and about about 2 years ago, a crack developed on my dash.i'm not sure how it happened, but one day, i just noticed it. I took it to the dealership that i bought it from, and they quoted me about $2000 to repair it.it just keeps getting worse, and i'm afraid that the air bag could deploy on it's on sometime because the crack keeps getting bigger.i also now have a crack on the driver's side dash above the steering wheel.

Takata recall, manufacture refuses to remedy the recall even the parts are available in the dealership ( as indicated by the part department of the dealership)

Takata recall - when can i get my airbags replaced?i keep asking the dealer and they say replacement airbags not available. This is a major safety concern for me.

Multiple cracks in the dash, including one by the passenger airbag; truck has been garage kept for entire life, so it is not from sun damage.there are many complaints of the same issue online, and every time i ride in a lyft or uber yukon or tahoe that is a 2007-2014 model, i see the same cracks - this issue is prolific.

I recently purchased a 2011 gmc yukon from my parents. They are the original owners. This vehicle was kept under thier carport and not in direct sunlight. The dashboard has mulitple cracks. Most concerning is the cracks near the passenger side airbag. What if i were in an accident, the dashboard could become shrapnel impaling myself or my passenger. Also the defective dashboard could splinter and puncture the airbag making them ineffective. After researching this issue, there are numerous complaints and even lawsuits. I am appalled to know you and gmc are aware of the risks of the cracked dashboard causing great bodily harm or death. You and gmc have done nothing to remedy the problem. I have a 2002 honda accord that sits in the sun and the dashboard is in perfect condition.

The dashboard of my 2011 yukon is cracking in multiple locations, including around the airbag areas, creating a hazard if the airbags were to employ.

The dash is cracking in several locations. It has a large crack above the instrument cluster and also around the passenger airbag.

The dashboard is cracking on both the driver and passenger side. The crack in the passenger side goes right to where the airbag is.

Crack in dashboard running from drivers side all the way over to the passenger air bag.i feel like this would be a danger if the passenger air bag were to deploy.i also feel that this is a factory defect.i would appreciate very much if you could help with this problem.thank you[xxx] *dlinformation redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

The dashboard has severely cracked and could cause harmful plastic to shoot towards passenger if the airbag is deployed.this also causes the interior to make loud dash sounds while driving affecting the experience of the drive.

As you're already aware of from several previous complaints, the dash board in our vehicle is cracked over the instrument panel, and is also cracked in the middle of the dash. It is spreading over the entire dash and compromised the airbag system, which is truly a hazard. I'm afraid todrive it. And, this is not a result of heat cracking the dashboard b/c we keep our car in the garage and hardly drive it during the week! this is definitely a defect with gmc and i don't know why they won't recall it!! even toyota has the same issue, except they offered a recall and allowed owners the opportunityto get the issue fixed. This is truly a safety hazard and i'm so disappointed in gmc. Cheap and won't fix their manufacture mistake!!!

Takata recall

Takata recall since 2016 but manufacture has refuse to replace the air bag. I have contacted the authorized gmc dealer "thorson buick & gmc" number of time , however they indicate manufacture does not have the replacement.

The dash is cracked in several places and around the air bag.

Takata recall. Gmc still refuses to replace the airbags in my vehicle.

2011 gmc yukon. Consumer has attempted to get vehicle fixed. *tathe consumer stated the safety issue is created when an unknown electrical problem in the vehicle results in the anti-theft fuse blowing thus causing the vehicle to stall while driving. When the vehicle stalls, the power steering is also disabled making the vehicle impossible to steer. The dealer indicated the cause was likely due to an electrical short but couldn't find the exact cause. The dealer recommended replacing the battery and ignition switch and adding some temporary bypass circuits.

The rear defrost wires kept falling off of the window.i had them soldered back on several times until i finally had to replace the entire glass, because there wasn't enough material to be able to re-solder it.within a couple of weeks of replacing the glass, one of the wires fell off.i had it fixed.then a few weeks later the other one fell off.in total over the next year i had both wires re-soldered at least twice each, until just last week when i had to replace the glass again!i was told that this is a bad design by gm and that they tend to fall off because they get too hot when in use.however, the wires even fell off in the spring and summer when the defrost wasn't in use.

I have a 2011 gmc yukon, i recently learned from gmc that they have a known issue with these vehicles by where they shut off randomly when an rfid key tag in or around the vehicle interrupts the vehicles electronics.our vehicle has turned itself off on multiple occasions which has created a huge safety concern for my family driving our yukon.gmc discovered/reported this issue internally in june of 2015, and our dealership reluctantly provided me with a copy of the gmc bulletin (see attached). Gm says they cannot fix the issue and will not repurchase our vehicle.gm says it is not a safety concern but will not put that in writing, their employee handbook does not permit them to put matters like this in writing as it can be used against them in the event of a catastrophic failure.i've contacted every level within gm, up to the executive office, in an attempt to resolve my issue and they have run me in circles and denied the know problem is a risk to the safety of my family.this messaging was reported down from the gm executive liaison, lawanda dean, from a man named rod (will not disclose his last name) who is the regional manager of gmc, over california.i'd like to know why this is not a recallable issue, why gm is allowed to not fix such an issue and if the nhtsa will assist me with this matter.had gmc told me that my yukon would randomly shut off we never would have purchased it.

I have replaced the battery and alternator. My door locks keep locking and unlocking on the own while driving, all my electrical in my car dim and keep resetting, my gauges are going all over the place. My car will turn itself off. While stopped at a red light, it seems to want to go on its own. While not running, i get in to leave, and my key at times donā€™t want to turn over. Then at times i try to start it and it will tell me theft control and wonā€™t crank. When iā€™m out of my vehicle at home, my car will lock itself when the setting is turned off. The problem has been going on for a year but only getting worse now.

My 5th cylinder exploded. I had a p0305 code for 5th cylinder misfire, took into the dealership and they replaced the coil pack on that cylinder on 10/20/2020 and 01/17/2021 the 5th cylinder exploded cause chunks of metal to be thrown through the side and cause a catastrophic engine failure. It was stationary in a parking lot but i was just about to put the car in reverse to drive when i hear a noise and shut the car off. Upon further research there is currently a class action lawsuit against the gm for the high failure rate of 2010-2014 years for vehicles that used the 5.3liter engines; the 6.2 liter engine, the one in my vehicle, was manufactured in the same plant as the 5.3 liter.

Having an ongoing issue while driving. I've ben on the highway in the rain and snow going 65-70 mph as well as dry pavement. All of a sudden my dashboard will light up saying service traction control, brake system, abs , park assist off and check engine lights up and blinks . I will loose my brakes i then have to pump my brakes several times to get to even slow down or stop . It's also happened when i am driving down a residential street. When i pull over turn the truck off and goes back to normal for a short distance. Weather doesn't seem to be a factor or speed. Taken vehicle to dealership and they don't find anything wrong. Had them replace bearings as well as speed sensors and it is still happening. And i had a code come up for cylinder misfire and knock sensor. Then take it garage and nothing is wrong.

The contact owns a 2011 gmc yukon. While driving at an unknown speed, the engine warning light illuminated and a loud abnormal noise was heard. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the valves needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vin was not available. The failure mileage was 185,000.

Both brake lights no longer work.but it's not the bulbs or the fuses.those are good.

Gm failed to disclose to the public of the known defect to the engines.

Transmission dipstick tube breaks easily. Vechile was stationary

Travelling at speed on the highway (60 mph) , the engine light comes on and a stabilitrak message is shown.power to the engine is dramatically reduced.car shakes violently and it is difficult to get off the highway.a seconday message appears to check throttle body assembly.very close to getting rear ended.this is a major defect that has to be addressed. It has also occurred on a 2014 gmc yukon xl that we own.

The vehicle suddenly lost power and the stabili-trac system warning appeared in the dic, then the traction control system warning appeared in the dic, then engine power reduced by 16% in the dic.drove vehicle to exit ramp and turned engine off.vehicle restarted with only the check engine light on and no warnings in the dic.the engine did not however run smoothly.i took it to a dealer who clear some codes and replaced the tps. Checked all fuses.no further problem.however a friend has the same vehicle in a 2010 model.same problem dealer replaced a throttle body.check out the gm forum at [xxx]this forum shows literallyhundreds of complaints about the same problem and in some cases causing accidents.my vehicle was repaired on 1-24-2013, and so far it appears that my problem has been resolved, howeverit appears gm is not really fixing the problem.i am concerned about this for the next out of town trip i take.parts of this document have been redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Abs brake problem.reoccurring engine problems such as misfire, low cylinder compression, afm lifters, camshaft, fuel mix and brake switch causes check engine light to come on.this causes stabilitrak and traction control to be turned off.discussions with several mechanics indicated a new engine would be the only way to fix this problem.even with a new engine, the problem persists. The check engine light continues to be "on" and stabilitrak and traction control continue to go on and off, and living in mi it is concerning me that i may lose these braking functions when i need them.gmc has offered no solutions.many, many forum discussions on the web indicate owners such as me should create a class-action lawsuit, as there does not appear to be a solution to this problem.the stabilitrak and traction control goes on and off as i am driving, typically on a highway.

Gmc 2011 yukon cracked dash over steering column. Was not driving when this happened. The crack has slowly grown up the dash.

Car was parked in an open parking lot for more than 7 hours in below freezing weather (less than 20 f) weather with high wind. When the engine was started in the evening, the dashboard displayed "service steering; service battery". When shifted in reverse the steering would not respond and behaved like it was locked. After a few minutes (3 to 5 minutes), the vehicle was back to normal.

Dashboard cracked on driver's side and passenger airbag.

Gmc 2011 yukon cracked dash over steering column. Was not driving when this happened. The crack has slowly grown up the dash.

Dashboard is cracking and will possibly cut airbag or driver in a crash.plastic is brittle and could shatter.suspension has poor dampening.truck was repaired several times by dealer only to fail soon after repairs.truck bounces over sharp bumps and becomes dangerous at highway speeds.transmission shudders and shakes

The dashboard is cracking on both the driver and passenger side. The crack in the passenger side goes right to where the airbag is.

The contact owns a 2011 gmc yukon. The contact stated that the dashboard developed large cracks that exposed the air bags. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 70,000.

The dashboard has progressively being cracking for over a year. It has now become very bad in two areas. Above the airbag on the passengers side and all around the housing above the odometers there are several long cracks. I am very concerned that the spreading rate will increase with pieces possibly creaking offand should an accident occur that shard's of plastic could injury passengers or my children. I have contact gmc and they have told me that they do not see any problem and that they would not address this situation. After reviewing the internet thoroughly it is very apparent that there is a defect problem and they do not wish to address. I am more than disappointed that gmc do not take this matter seriously.

The dashboard around the airbag is cracked. The dashboard in front of the driver is cracked in 2 places. In the event of a crash, the dashboard could become a projectile due to the numerous cracks.

Dash board is cracking.

I first noticed a crack on the dash in front on the drivers side. Since noticing the first crack, other cracks have developed.

Dashboard has two creaks at passage air bag.vehicle also has takata recall with no resolution.i am concerned dash may injure passage if air bag inflates.yukon always garaged, mileage 38,000.

The contact owns a 2011 gmc yukon. The contact stated he noticed that the dashboard was fractured in front of the steering wheel and near the front passenger side air bag. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was not informed of failure. The failure mileage was 112,000.

2 cracks in the dashboard. One crack is leading to the passenger side airbag - causing a safety risk.

I have two cracks on my dash one at the passenger side air bag it is about one inch long.the other cracks is much longer.if is on the drivers side near the area that is humped up at the steering wheel. When i bought this car the cracks were very small the one near the steering wheel just keeps getting bigger!

Dash is cracked next to the air bag toward the windshield and is dropped down. Afraid if it keeps dropping down or is bumped hard will set the air bag off. If the air bag goes off the dash could shatter causing damage to whoever is in the vehicle. Afraid it being next to the air bag.

I'm a2011gmc yukon owner that has a cracked dash that in only a matter of time is going to affect the air bag. When i reached out to gmc, they told that i would have to wait for an accident to happen before they would look into the problem.

Our dashboard cracked on a 3 year old car - the local dealer "repaired" it and the repair lasted all of a day.the crack got progressively bigger and gm refused to cover any of the cost to replace, telling us our only option was to replace the entire dash at a cost of over $1200.we have had it patched by a local repair place who did a better job than the dealer, but the dash still vibrates to the point of shaking and the patch is now coming apart again.the actual crack is now over a 1/2" big.we are worried about the airbags deploying and the sharp plastic causing serious injury.

The contact owns a 2011 gmc yukon. The contact stated that the dashboard was cracked approximately eight inches above the instrument panel. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 36,000.

The contact owns a 2011 gmc yukon. The contact stated that the dashboard had fractures over the passenger side air bag housing. The contact also stated that the center of the dashboard had fractures and separated near the defroster. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the entire dashboard needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 39,500.

The dash cover is cracking and is broken. This is happening close to the passenger airbag. I'm just waiting for the airbag to explode while i am driving. This is so unsafe!! my kids are in danger.

The contact owns a 2011 gmc yukon. While attempting to open the rear passenger side door, the door handle detached from the door. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the door handle needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 24,000.

Dashboard on drivers side and dashboard above the airbag on passenger side are both cracked in two separate places without any applied pressure or exposure to harsh conditions. Cracks continue to increase/lengthen when driven i.e. Across tracks, bumps or on smooth surface roads.

My dashboard is cracking and i park underground at work and in the garage at home, no sun exposure.

The dashboard has cracked all over. Flaps and makes horrible sounds when driving. Very distracting and ugly.

My dashboard is cracked on the driver side.this happened recently, although there is evidence of a repair of another crack by the passenger airbag before i bought it.

The dash around the passenger side airbag is cracking.

Crack in the dash over the instrument panel that just occurred.vehicle is garage kept.

The upper dash panel cracked. There is a large crack in the curved portion of the dash above the steering wheel and gauges. The vehicle has not been subject to any extreme temperature changes - it is always parked inside a garage. I went to drive the vehicle after it had been sitting unused for about a week noticed the crack right away as it is very noticeable. Now, when driving there is a very audible rattling noise coming from the dash. Aside from this being aesthetically and audibly hideous, i am worried that this is a safety hazard. If the vehicle were to be involved in a crash the cracked pieces of the dash could more easily injure someone. I also fear the cracked pieces that are rattling inside the dash could puncture the airbags and render them useless in the event of a crash. This is a manufacturing flaw. This should not have happened under the circumstances and care this vehicle receives.

Cracked dashboard that may impact airbags. This poses a community hazard to those driving.

1) dashboard is cracking on the drivers side.the crack has progressed directly over the arched area of the dashboard over the instrument panel.the crack has progressed to the point that the dashboard is flapping where the crack is located. 2) two of my tires are losing air pressure due to corrosion problems with the chrome rims/wheels.one of the rims has a 2 inch crack in the chrome finish.

Dash cracked

Found 2 cracks in my dashboard...this is not normal wear and tear. One crack above the instrument panel and one crack near the passenger airbag. I am very concerned about one deep crack by the airbag. Is this safe? with the concern over the takata air bag issues and no possible way to remedy that at this time i am worried that this presents a safety hazard to my family. Called gm and there is nothing they will do unless i want to purchase a new dashboard??? how can there be so many complaints with no action from gm?

Very large crack in the dashboard extending from passenger side air bag to the instrument panel.this is defect in design/construction and will affect passenger air bag effectiveness and safety of occupants if pieces of the dash are projected outwards at a high rate of speed.this is unacceptable.gmc needs to initiate a voluntary recall immediately.

Dashboard cracked on driver's side and rattles repeatedly when operating the vehicle.

The dashboard has severely cracked and could cause harmful plastic to shoot towards passenger if the airbag is deployed.this also causes the interior to make loud dash sounds while driving affecting the experience of the drive.

My dashboard has cracked from the air bag to the next sheet of plastic towards the windshield. I had this replaced once before when the car was under warranty and it has now happened again, almost a year later. I am concerned this will affect the airbag or cause the dashboard to splinter if the airbag it is deployed.

Dashboard has cracked in multiple places. Mainly around the passenger airbag and instrument cluster.

My dashboard has 2 cracks in it. This began around 55,000 miles. One is above the airbag and the other is in the middle on top of the middle speaker. I purchased a $1500 easy care extended warranty when i purchased this vehicle to hopefully take care of anything that might have come up while paying on this vehicle. This warranty does not cover the dashboard. Of course!i spent countless hours on the phone with the dealership, gmc senior advisors, and then the next in line to finally be told i was responsible for $300 plus tax for the repair. What upset me the most is the fact that gmc tried to blame wear and tear and the sun without accepting the responsibility of the defect.this should not be my responsibility to fix. What incentive do i have to ever buy gmc again when i am driving one of the top of the line vehicles which costs $65,000 and i'm told that it's not their fault that st 55,000 milesmy dash is cracked and rattling and i'm driving around with paper stuffed in it to stifle the noise. So disgusted!!!!! the best they could do is that i pay $300 plus tax to fix. What an insult!last gmc vehicle. Make it right with your customers when it's your fault!!

On 12/27/18, i heard an excessive rattling noise coming from the dash.when i parked the car, and the vehicle was stationary, i leaned forward to see if there was something on the dash, and noticed the dash had cracked over the driver's side instrument panel / airbag.the dash also cracked over the left side above the glove box/airbag area.the crack was the source of the rattling.this vehicle is parked in a garage and has not been exposed to excessive sunlight.nor has the vehicle ever been in an accident.

Vehicle dashboard cracked all across. Vehicle always parked in garage. Never in accident. Noticed summer of 2018. Reported to dealership. In process of trying to get covered under my extended warranty. This problem should be a recall after reading all of the complaints.

There are 3 cracks in the dashboard of my 2011 gmc yukon.one crack is near the left front corner of the passenger airbag.two cracks are located near the front right side of the instrument panel.i believe this is a defect in the materials and the gm should replace the dashboard free of charge.vehicle was stationary.

The dash board where the air bag is located cracked as well as the other side of the -dashboard near the instrument cluster. There are multiple reports online documenting the issue.

The dashboard has cracked in several places that appear to be in danger of projecting shards of hard plastic when the airbags deploy. These cracks began on their own and not as a result of abuse or accident.

Dash cracking over instrument panel and over passenger side airbag; concerned of the safety for passenger given the defect of the dash housing the passenger airbag

2 dash board cracks - believe cause is excessive vibration of dashboard due to poor design by gmc. One crack runs approx 5-6" directly above speedometer which could eventually affect the airbags and speedometer function. The second crack if on passenger side above glove compartment.

My dash board has tow cracks and is ready to fall apart. One crack runs the full width of my dashboard and is directly above my speedometer and the other is just to the right of my glove box. Concerned that this could eventually cause issues with my speedometer and air bags. The crack above my speedometer started about 3 years ago and the other 2 years ago.

This morning as i was driving, i heard a vibration sound coming from the dash. So i looked over & i find a crack! not 1 but 2! over the speedometer & by the passenger air bags. I'm scared its gonna affect the passenger airbags...

Cracking dash board around passenger airbag

Multiple cracks in the dash, including one by the passenger airbag; truck has been garage kept for entire life, so it is not from sun damage.there are many complaints of the same issue online, and every time i ride in a lyft or uber yukon or tahoe that is a 2007-2014 model, i see the same cracks - this issue is prolific.

Dashboard cracked 2 years after purchased. Replaced by local dealership then cracked again 2 years later out of warranty. Apparently the in stock replacements were of the same defective design as originals.

Loose dashboard that repeatedly rattles while driving the vehicle.

The dash has cracked all away the cross of the pad and now has cracked producing jagged plastic shards around the airbag compartment

The dashboard on my 2011 yukon xl with only 52,000 miles on it.a couple of weeks ago my yukon dashboard cracked over the instrument panel and at the right passenger airbag.this dashboard has no support under it and i can push the dashboard down with my finger without applying any force. When the airbag deploys the dashboard will break off at the weak point breaking with pointed sharp areas that can either puncture the airbag or hit the passenger.this is a huge safety item.the dealership says that this cracked due to heat so i am now concerned that the faulty dashboard is cracking due to heat that the takata recall is a huge safety issue that also relates to heat in this vehicle.both of these items should be recalled.

A crack appeared on the front dash next to the passenger side airbag. The vehicle was stationary and cracked overnight. I'm concerned about the airbag working properly.

The dash is cracking in several locations. It has a large crack above the instrument cluster and also around the passenger airbag.

Dashboard cracked on driver's side and passenger airbag.

The dash above the instrument panel is severely cracked and without any reason.there is also another crack in the center area.if air bag deployed not sure what could happen. Car has always been kept out of extreme weather in a garage. I have owned other gmc yukons and have never had this problem before.

The dashboard of my 2011 yukon is cracking in multiple locations, including around the airbag areas, creating a hazard if the airbags were to employ.

The dashboard has progressively being cracking for over a year. It has now become very bad in two areas. Above the airbag on the passengers side and all around the housing above the odometers there are several long cracks. The dash is cracked in several places and around the air bag.

Dashboard cracks from around passenger airbag. This crack is not from normal wear and tear, by the nature of the crack you can tell that this is some kind of manufacturing defect.

The truck was parked and running. It suddenly began to idle as if someone was pushing down on the gas. I immediately shut the car off. I turned it back on and the engine light was on and it read "reduced engine power". It seemed to drive ok. I called dealership and made apt for tuesday. (it was thursday) the next day i drove it to local garage to read engine code. It was p2135. The truck then stopped accelerating. It would not go over 25mph. It took about 2 full min to get it at that speed. When i would break, the truck would jump as if did not want to stop. The dealership diagnosed the problem as the throttle position sensor cover. I was informed that gmc is aware that there is a problem and has since corrected it. However, there is no recall as there is no alleged safety issues. I believe that when you have a 1,2, and 3 year old in the truck in rush hour, it is dark outside, and you are an hour away from home it is a huge safety issue when your truck won't accelerate! i have contacted gmc who refuses to take responsibility for this issue. Please issue a recall as this is a known problem.

The chrome mags on my tires/vehicle wear down at the tire line causing my tires to lose air. This could result in serious accidents. Although i will record last occurrence, this has happened three times in past 5 years resulting in the need for repair.
