My wife and i have owned this vehicle since 1996.we bought it used with 18,000 miles on it.i have always had trouble hearing noises and trouble with a soft brake pedal on this vehicle.when the car had about 40,000 miles on it, i had an incident where i applied the brakes going about 55 miles per hour to slow down to get on the expressway and both rear wheel cylinders blew out on me almost causing a severe accident.since the vehicle turned over past 60,000 miles, i have had at least three incidents where accidents almost occurred due to the brake pedal going all the way to the floor on me and i was unable to stop.twice this has happened after getting brand new brakes done all the way around, once at the dealer and once at a midas muffler shop.this is a very dangerous malfunction in the abs system.i will contact the dealer tomorrow, since it just happened again.dt

While driving on the road consumer tried to stop vehicle by applying brakes, butvehicle would not stop.

While driving at 35 -45 mph the consumer rear ended a vehicle while trying to stop. There was plenty of stopping distance and the roads were dry.

When applying the abs brakes in an emergency stopping, the pedal has aresistance factormaking itdifficult for thevehicle to stop, resultingin a crash.

Driving down a road getting ready to get on the on ramp onwet surface a vehicle in front was at a complete stop. Looked back at traffic to proceed on and the vehicle in front moved. As a result, rear endedthe other vehicledue tobrake failure.

When braking hard, especially in a downhill motion on wet or snowy roads the brakes lock up. Removing one's foot from the pedal does not release the braking action. Only when the tires stop skidding does the braking action release, allowing for one to "try again" by applying the brakes more gently. By then the vehicle is nearly stopped anyway. I have nearly skidded into intersections or cars in front of me on at least five occasions.

When brake pedal is applied in a panic situation the pedal will resist pressure tha tdrive ris applyin gto it. This delays actual braking action by a second or more;four such incidents occurred, one resultin gin a rearend collision.

Windshield wipers completly stopped working in a winter storm 12/09/03.i found out about a recall on the wiper circuit board and took it to the dealership and told them what had happened.they did nothing but look at the vin and told me that my 1994 yukon needed a circuit but did not fit into the recall.they were going to charge me $85.00 for something that many others get fixed for free.they knew what was wrong with the wipers without any exam at all.that tells me that there must also be a problem with all on the circuit boards in all of the trucks.i called gmc they told me it had to do with the plants were the boards were made.i would like to know how many plants there were. It would seem to me that if other people are haveing problems with the same part on the same trucks but their parts were made in a different plant that there is not a problem with the plant but a problem with the design of the part that will cause all of them to fail.i am going to have the one from my truck looked at by someone that designs and manufactures boards every day to see if the problem is the same as the one stated in the recall.someone needs to have this recall expanded to cover all of the defective (poorly designed) parts.

Windshield wipers will turn off intermittently, causing poor visibility. Vehicle isnot included under recall due to vinalthough it has same defect.

While driving in rainy weather front windshield wipers failed. Recall 03v159000 was issued.but this vehicle was not included in the recall due to vin. *mr

Sometimeswindshield wipers would not come on at all.when dealer was contacted about the problem, he indicated that vehicle could not berepaired free of charge. Vehicle not included in recall 98v150001 gm/windshield wipers due to vin.please provide any furhter information.

This same model truck was recalled in 1998 for model made on or after august 1994 on. Nhtsa has two campaign numbers for this same year. #98v150000 & #98v150001. The # of vehicles affected were 1,566,510. Year of recall was in 1998. These windshield wipers will either not come on during rain or will work and quit(this is the case most often).this is a safety issue that i would appreciate nhtsa looking into, and notifying of any changes in the recall. Thank you.

Windshield wipers operate intermittently.consumer contacted the dealer, whostated that this vehicle was not apart of the recall, but the plug to the wiper motordefective.

Nhtsa# 98-v-150-0001: vehicle description:light duty pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles, 2 and 4-wheel drive.solder joints near the wiring harness connector can crack causing the windshield wipers to work intermittently. Consumer has the same problem. However this vehicle was not recalled due to the vin.

Vehicle experienced the same defect with its windshield wipers as stated in recall 03 v 159 000.the consumers vehicle was not included in the recall due to vin.the windshield wiper worked almost 70% of the time. Sometimes the wiper wouldn't shut off by using the switch but when the would finally go off the stopped in the middle of the windshield which made it difficult to see. *nlm

Windshield wiper circuit board failed, recall (98v-150) does not apply to vehicle, denied recall repair. Mjs

Intermittentlywindshield wipers become inoperable, obstructingview ofdriver. A recall has been issued onvehicle's make and model; however, this vehiclewas not included due tovin. Dealer has been notfied.

I own a 1994 gmc yukon and the windshield wipers quit working without warning. Sometimes they will start working on their own, sometimes you have to tug on them to get them to start up again. The recall says 1994 to 1997 but i have not received a letter. Gm says my vin is not included.this is a joke, there is definately a defect and this is very dangerous as i drive 68 miles a day.
