The contact owns a 2015 gmc yukon xl. The contact stated that water leaked into the roof of the vehicle and saturated the air bag and the main fuse box. The contact stated that there was a tsb for the failure. The vehicle was taken to reno buick gmc cadillac dealer, located at 900 kietzke lane, reno, nv 89502, (775)-815-7660, where it was stated that the failure was a factory defect. The technician reached out to the manufacturer and, the manufacturer agreed to cover ten percent of the repair cost. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 66,000.

Multiple complaints have been filled with gmc about their poor brake design on their 2015- 2019 yukons the circuit breaks and the tail light assembly quits working. Yukon says they have not heard of such complaints. And will not recall their poor assembly design.

The passenger brake light is out and the small led cannot be individually replaced by the dealer. Gmc only sells the entire unit for over $850.00. This is a known warranty issue that gm refuses to acknowledge.

No brake light in both rear lighting assemblies.started with the passenger side and now the drivers side.gmc issued a letter in december 2019 stating they'd pay for repairs if vehicle is less than 6 years or 75,000 miles which ever comes first.we'll i'm over on both.gmpp extended warranty doesn't cover this repair.spend $75k for this truck and now this.

My vehicle is a 2015 yukon xl. In 2018 i had to replace my front driver side led lights and my passenger side rear brake light for a cost over $2,000. I literally had to cancel a family vacation in order to pay for the lights on my vehicle. It is illegal to drive without working brake lights. This year, june 2019, i needed to replace the driver side break light at a cost close to $1,000.

The headlights housings have condensation in them and it has cause the turn signal and led lights to short out. The led lights in the tail light housing including the brake lights have also shorted out. The led screen and computer in the center console has also shorted out.

The contact owns a 2015 gmc yukon xl. While driving unknown speeds, the air conditioner emitted hot air. The vehicle was taken to herb chambers chevrolet of danvers (90 andover st, danvers, ma 01923) where it was diagnosed that the air conditioner condenser needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the issue and referred the contact to nhtsa. The failure mileage was 50,000.

This vehicle had a failed driver's brake light at about 60k miles and it was replaced as a recall item. At 76k miles the passenger brake light has failed and we are informed it is no longer a recall item because it's out of the recall timeframe. I've also known 2 other people with yukon's, both neighbors and both have had at least 1 failed brake light. If this is a known failure and safety issue, why are they denying recall at such a low mileage.

Led brake lights fail due to design error typically on both side of the vehicle.i have found multiple reports of a failure on a circuit board that was poorly designed.a copper tracing is very narrow and fractures due to vibration resulting in brake light failure.because the entire module must be replaced the repair costs $800-$900 per side.

Rear tail lights stop working all of the sudden. Left and right side.

Both led brake lights faulty. Replaced rh and new part is also not working intermittently. Lh does not intermittently.

After getting pulled over by the policefor a tail light that was out,i was in motion and this is when i started my research.right tail light is out, faulty parts. Checked all fuse and wire connection for corrosion, but ther was no sign of damage. Gmc wants to charge $1,500 to fix. The next issue is the paint job. I am at 50,000 miles and the paint is already fading.the clear coat was super thin and cheaply done. Gmc said they would cover onley 25% of a $6000 - $12,000 paint job

Takata recall driver side brake light stop working while driving in the city streets

Right rear brake light led keeps working off and on.this is a common problem, look at the other complaints, and costs the customer around $700 to fix.the led strip breaks internally and this is the cause of the issue.

Passenger side led tail light stopped working.saw that this problem has been reported on nhtsa many times (over 400) but there has never been a recall.to fix the tail light the entire fixture had to be replaced at dealer for a cost of $900 which is ridiculous.this is a definite safety hazard as there was no indicator to tell me that the tail light and brake light were out!only found out about the problem when a friend was following me home and told me about it.surprised that there has been neither a voluntary recall by gm or a mandated recall by the nhtsa.definitely needs addressing.also, this problem has been reported on 2015-2017 yukons so there appears to be either a defective part or bad design.

Rear tail lights work intermittently. Sometimes they are completely off, other times they work. This happens both when stationary and when in motion

Rear passenger brake light failure.. Known issue that has been neglected by gmc.

The left brake light went out, had it repaired at a cost of $779.00, total replacement, a week later the right brake light goes out, again the total replacement cost is $779.00.something wrong when both brake lights go out.

2015 yukon denali xlintermittently failing tail lights/brake lights due to circuit board getting too hot and not communicating properly between left and right tail lights...part failure/poor manufacturing/safety issue

The contact owns a 2015 gmc yukon xl. While driving and attempting to make a turn at approximately 10 mph, the vehicle shut off and lost power without warning. The vehicle restarted after approximately 30 minutes and 'please open and close driver's side window' appeared. The dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 97,000.

Rear liftgate will not open. Replaced liftgate control module and still will not work. Mechanic says it is now body control module.lights stay on inside vehicle at all times and horn is disabled

My passenger side tail light assembly need to be replaced as the brake lights are not working.this has become a common problem as evidenced by the number of complaints filed on your site for the same issue.lack of properly functioning tail lights is a major safety concern and a recall should be issued.

My tail light will quit working intermittently. When it is cool, they work, when it gets hot, they quit working.

Brake light working intermittently. Most times it's not working. Sometimes it does. Stationary and in motion.

Gmc recently advised us that the tailgate lights have had problems where they "intermittently" do not illuminate. We have had this issue for quite sometime where drivers cannot see our tailgate lights when the problem occurs. Because it has been intermittent, it has been very hard for the shop to diagnose as when they get it and it is on, they can't figure out what is wrong with it. Since we received the letter from gmc, we have been into the dealership to get it resolved, but they will not do it because our miles are over. I have told them that they know its an issue and that it is intermittent and when people take it into the shop to get it diagnose, its a hit and miss. I have now seen over a dozen other gmc's on the road with the same issue. Last week, while traveling with kids to a soccer tournament, both weren't working at night and we were pulled over. I fortunately had the letter in the car and showed it to him. He gave me a warning and advised that it is very difficult for cars to see at night when there are no tailgates on and that gmc had better get this resolved. I have made two requests with gmc and they have denied the request. I even told them that i would cost share if we meet in the middle and they would not. They know this is an issue, yet they aren't willing to extend the warranty or make it a recall. This is very dangerous and could cause a lot of accidents with gmc models nationwide. I hope that this is brought to someone's attention and that gmc is encouraged to get this resolved with 2015 yukon xl suvs and that we and many others are able to get their tailgates replaced.

The brake/tail lights work somedays, and not other days. One day the are both working, one day only one works, and some days neither work. This is a problem that is very prevalent. Just look online. I have personally photographed several of the same issue on this make and model in my hometown. The dealership wants me to pay $1300 to have new lights installed and gmc is in denial of their problem.(the back up/reverse white light works all of the time, its the red brake/tail light that doesn't work) this shows that its an issue that should be recalled, not replaced at the owner's expense.

Passenger side tail light has been going out intermittently for months. Since the problem began i've been having battery issues and now battery and light are completely dead. Dealer said it would be $800 for light. There was no indicator/sensor that showed the light was out. I found out by another driver who pulled up next to me and told me. Driving around i've seen many vehicles (same model) with the same issue. This is a safety hazard, because unless someone tells us we don't know the light is out and they are prematurely going out. The cost is ridiculous! this is my second gmc and i did not have any problems like this before. This is the car i drive my children around in! it is apparent that it is a manufacturer issue. Gmc needs to do right by its customers, before someone gets hurt!

My right rear tail light works on and off for about a year . I have 41,000 miles on my car and now the left tail light goes in and out also so i potentially could have two brake lights out at the same time. I've seen several of the same car is on the road with the same problem gmc denies the problem and charges $800 per tail light to fix it's a huge safety concern and i don't feel like my family is safe and i don't think we should be liable for their faulty light equipment. They won't recognize they are responsible for the issue it's completely unacceptable and a huge safety concern. When looking up the problem online there are hundreds of people who are having the same issue with the same model car.

Major safety issues with this vehicle. Another 2015 yukon with no tail or stop lights. I'm over millage on special recall. There should be no time/millage issue on this. Seat belts lock up. Brakes are either good or mussy whenever they want to be. Hard to stop the vehicle. Also when i first purchased the vehicle it would completely die (no lights motor died, no power steering, no air bags, no radio nothing at all on the x-way at 70 mph) and the dealer could not repair it! rust on frame rails. (and more).

I purchased by vehicle in the summer of 2015.it has been in the shop numerous times for various issues, mostly electrical involving the computer and software, or issues involving my tires or steering when turning the steering wheel..my "driver assist" has malfunctioned many times and i have taken it to the shop to have it repaired on 3 separate occasions. Last summer my front and rear lights started flickering and stopped working.i spent $800 for the back passenger brake light and almost $1000 for the front driver head light assembly.i also had to get a new battery for this vehicle. My 2015 gmc yukon xl is now malfunctioning again and this time, i am told that the seat motor (that alerts you when you are near an obstacle has burned out.)about 4 days ago, i became aware of ticking noise while my car has been idle.i immediately scheduled a maintenance appointment. Today, i am also informed that my "lifters" are bad on the vehicle and my engine is going bad. I am told the air conditioning condenser has burned out, i am told the motor under my seat is burned out. I have performed routine maintenance, i get oil changes regularly and use high quality synthetic oils.i take my car to the shop at least 2x per year for problems and somemajor repair is always required.this is a car that i am going into the 5th year of ownership this summer.originally. I was told that there was a recall for brakes, now i am told there is not, but i have taken my car in for various recalls at least 3x.this is an unsafe, defective vehicle.every system fails.i am now in search of a new vehicle.i have driven other gm vehicles (grand am, hummer) and none have required so much repair costs.today i am told that it will cost $6800 to repair my vehicle to make it safe.my repair records will show the repairs and service charges i have paid since purchase. This is a lemon.

Brake light assembly has gone out for 3rd time. $700 to repair each time. Lots of complaints on line about this. Gm has refused to acknowledge this has been a problem. Should be a recall for this and all of us who have had to repair this should be reimbursed. They are replacing faulty brake light units with faulty units so it repeatedly recurs. They have also failed to acknowledge issue until vehicles have accumulated over 72,000 miles so they can claim outside special warranty period

The air in our 2015 yukon has went out and is constantly blowing warm air.itwill not hold freon. The temps in las vegas get into the triple digits. My 78 year mother constantly uses the vehicle to get places. I have researched the problem and seems to be aconstant problem with the design of the ac condenser and hose design. We have been smelling freon for some time so it must have been slowly leaking out. This should be a recall problem since so many people have had the same problem and is definitely asafety problem here in desert. The problem is constant, in motion or sitting still.

Vehicle was taken in on november 2017 due to rear tailgate/hatch not opening properly and making noise sometimes. Struts and other components replaced. Vehicle is now out of warranty and rear tailgate module caught on fire inside the vehicle and burned up. Gm customer care case 8-43560624xx was started.part shows signs of fire, heavy component damage burn marks everywhere and ground planes within the pcb show signs of extreme overheating, inside of the vehicle smells like burnt plastic and the rear tailgate could not be open. Gm is not calling it a fire but it is obvious from the part that there was a flame and a lot of heat. Tried to escalate this passed gm customer care so gm engineers can at least look at it but chris (did not provide last name and/or id number) informed me that there is no more escalation at this point. Was given the typical script "we apologize, blah blah blah, vehicle is out of warranty".gm engineers should look at the pictures and the part to make sure this is not a safety related issue. Pictures attached of the "thermal" event as gm called it as they cannot say it caught on fire.

The contact owns a 2015 gmc yukon xl. The contact stated that while driving at low speeds without warning, the steering wheel became difficult to operate in either direction. On several occasions, the vehicle also stalled without warning. The vehicle was taken to thompson buick gmc located at 2600 wake forest rd. Raleigh nc, 27609, (919)809-6217, to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the steering gear needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 70,000.

Led brake light on drivers side fails to illuminate (noticed first at about 72,700 miles).upon further research, this appears to be a recurring issue with 2015-2016 yukon and yukon xl vehicles.the led taillight assembly is a sealed housing and the individual brake light bulbs are not replaceable.there appears to be a design defect that is causing premature failures of these assemblies, which results in a safety hazard because the driver does not receive any notification that the brake lights have failed.

I purchased my vehicle october 31'st 2019 from a local dealership. The milage was about 74k miles. I have only had this vehicle for a few months. My concern is the following. While driving, at least 7 to ten times the vehicle completely stalls. In other words it completely stops. The steering wheel locks. All power is lost. No lights no nothing. This has happened at intersections, it has happened when turning left, it has happened when turning right. It happens when we are yielding. Sometimes the dash starts to flicker and also the console. Sometimes like today without any warnings. This is puts me and my family in a very dangerous situation. Please respond asap. I currently have 86k miles on my vehicle.

Bought the 2015 yukon xl as certified preowned. While still covered under certified warranty, i complained about the intermittent tail lamp failure, but the dealer couldn't replicate.you know the rest...the certified warranty then expired by mileage, then the tail lamp completely failed, then i took it back in and they say they won't cover it. I spoke to dealer service manager, gmc customer service (plus a manager), but i"m told that they won't assist since i'm out of warranty.i did my part...i took the vehicle in while still under warranty as soon as the condition presented itself.it's a shame that gmc won't own this massive failure until a recall issued. Maybe my complaint will be the tipping point that kicks off that process.

The rear tail lights do not work. The dealership identified this fault and said that the problem is very common.

The rear taillights will not work sometimes!there's times where there off and gmc isaware of this issue!!

My passenger front light cover is acquiring condensation which makes the lights go off and on, and my driver side brake light works only intermittently.my insurance or warranty won't cover anything to fix these light issues.these issues started about may 2018.we weren't in a wreck or sustained any damages that would have led to these issues.i have talked to two other owners of the same make/model/year vehicle and we all have safety issues that are not being resolved by gm vwarranties.i want to see gm issue recalls and accept complete financial responsibility for repairs.i would also like to see the rear lighting system redesigned so the components are not dependent on each other.my brake light went out and instead of being able to replace a bulb the entire unit has to be replaced at $1700.00 that we just simply do not have.

Brakelight assembly defective, causing intermittent failure. This occurs while stationary, in motion, on city streets, highways and while turning, braking etc.

Left brake light working intermittently and then went out completely. Right brake light followed immediately after. Dealer wants 1550.00 to replace

My seat heater malfunctioned, burning a hole in my seat backrest, and burning a hole in my jacket!30 seconds after leaving my home, driving on a residential street, i suddenly felt a sharp poking in my back.when i reached back i was shocked to feel the seat burning and a hole in the seat!i reacted immediately, turning off the seat heater and pulling over.my car had smoke and smelled of burning plastic.i look at the back of my drivers seat and there was a hole in the seat where it burned straight through.and when i took off my jacket i found a hole there as well where the seat burned through it as well.i had a small burn, but it was only minor.it was a disturbing situation that could have been worse if i didn't react immediately or was driving on the highway.today i took it into my local gmc dealer who didn't seem very concerned and let me know it would be expensive to get if fixed.i declined the service at this time.i then called gmc customer service who documented my situation, but also didn't seem concerned.i would have hoped gmc would have wanted to at least diagnose root cause to ensure there is not a larger problem on their hands.i am not looking for a payday here.i want to make sure this doesn't happen to others at a time that it could cause a more serious accident or injury.

We purchased this vehicle on 11.21.18 and the brake lights intermittently don't work.they were working at the time we drove it off the lot.the bulbs were tested by our mechanic and he stated that the gmc yukon of this year are known to have major problems with the brake light housing units on the rear of the vehicle.the electrical board associated with it has issues the mechanic stated.i reviewed many post online and wonder why this isn't a required recall. To me this is a major safety concern and we bought this vehicle to transport my kids and wife.i'd like this to be considered a recall immediately.

Driver side tail light would intermittently go in and out from working and not working. The tail light would do this while in motion, while stationary, it did not matter. The local dealership that we bought it from said we would need to replace it. Over $750. Now the passenger side tail light is doing the exact same thing. Huge safety hazard. Clearly a faulty part, not just a bulb going out, but the entire electrical design of the the tail light is flawed. Gm charges you to replace the entire housing with the same exact faulty part that was on there before.

Owned the car for 2 years, been in the shop three times for the same issue, car jerks going less than 25 mph and while driving and accelerating. Both tail lights are led and inoperable. Ac quit working, recharged once and figure it's a leak. Upon reading reviews gmc is aware of faulty parts but no recall on any vehicle.

Tail light/break light went out for 2nd time. You cannot just purchase a new tail light.the dealer states you have to purchase a new tail light.the dealer wants $800 dollars to a new taillight pod to make the car safe again. Calling gmc you need to spend $100 dollars for a diagnosis in order to be considered for assistance from gm with no promise of assistance.

Driver and passenger side tail lights flickering on and off. Twice i've gotten pulled over for tail lights issues and rear ended because of them.

This is the second complaint that i have made to nhtsa.the first time, the vehicle was spontaneously turning off and shutting down during backing in and turns causing a safety issue.this resulted in a recall, and a "software update" that was done twice to correct the issue.right and back passenger lights began to blink on and off and water gets into the brake light.the dealer told me this was m issue. This time the 4wd service light came and the car appeared to be stuck in "4wd low" making it "drag" at a reduced speed when driving.also, the "service trailer brake" light came on repeatedly.i have never used the trailer brake.i took it into an authorized dealer, sellers gmc in farmington hills, mi.they told me i needed a new "module", so i paid to have that done.within one day the same service lights came on again."service 4 wd" and "service trailer brake."i immediately took the vehicle back and am now being told it needs another software update and a new trailer brake transfer switch.quite frankly, i believe that this model has significant, unaddressed computer software issues and the dealer does not know who to fix it. The car is unsafe because it spontaneously stops working appropriately during driving.the concerns have been various and always seem to affect steering, when turning or backing in. I am being charged for various control panels and modules.i am requesting that this concern gets addressed before there is a serious injury.i would like my vehicle fixed and returned to a safe condition.i was never told upon purchase, that this model would require so many "software" updates to remain safe.this should not be a burden placed on a consumer for a vehicle to operate safely.this is dangerous.

Our 2015 yukon xl denali caught fire in the engine compartment while waiting at stop light on sat, with my wife and children inside. It was a hot day, over 95 degrees, and we were turning left across traffic when we realized the smell and smoke was coming from our vehicle. Smoke whiffed from under the hood and noxious fumes filled the passenger compartment, scaring me and my family.we finished the turn and immediately pulled over, shutoff the truck, and all escaped fearing it would burst into flames.whatever was burning appeared to stop once the ignition was off.i opened the driver door, popped and raised the hood to look for the problem. I could see that a belt, behind the serpentine belt, had snapped, and there was charred debris on the exposed mechanical pulley for the ac compressor. After further inspection, i restarted the truck with the ac off, and monitored for smoke.the truck seemed ok to drive home , so we did without ac on a 95 degree day. On monday we drove the truck to a trusted mechanic for inspection. They diagnosed the compressor seized and estimated repairs were $1,240.the truck is garaged kept, and gently used with only 37,500 miles. We purchased the gmc certified truck in july 2018 from a dealer. I created an account on gmc.com & looked through warranty coverage. A special coverage had been extended for ac defects, but it lapsed in march, 2020.looking further; many thousands of gm owners had same problem from same defective ac condenser combi-cooler. I called gm to complain they never told us of about a defective ac system. They said only a gm dealer could diagnose the problem, because they are 'experts'.that same 'expert' dealer had serviced our yukon 4 times over the past 2 years and never once shared the information about the defective ac system. Gm & dealer colluded to allow warranty to expire.

Anytime the vehicle is running the fumes from the exhaust make me and my kids feel nauseous and giving headaches just from walking to/around the truck to get in. We are taking this truck to the dealer on monday. Being the 3rd dealer we have taken it to in the past year. Have had many other issues out of this vehicle and just cant seem to get them all fixed.for such a pricey vehicle you wouldnt think there would be this many problems. The lift gate is popping not wanting to open or shuts on you as you walk under it. The window appliques are just slowly flying off 1 by 1. Transmission is hard shifting in low gears, during acceleration and deceleration. We have a horrible grinding/squeaking noise in the front that you can feel in the floor boards. The brakes, we had a module replaced, but it still feels as if when pushing the pedal it looses pressure, causing near accidents. This is insane!!!!!! boought this truck just over a year ago and have had nothing but problems. Waste of time and money!

The contact owns a 2015 gmc yukon xl. While the vehicle was stationary, the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact placed the vehicle in park and was able to restart the vehicle. After turning the steering wheel, the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 64,712.

The contact owns a 2015 gmc yukon xl. While driving 60 mph, the rear driver's side brake light failed to illuminate. The vehicle was taken to five star chevrolet buick gmc (located at 495 watson blvd, warner robins, ga 31093, (478) 387-4424) where it was diagnosed that the brake assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred approximately 5 months later. The contact took the vehicle back to the dealer for repairs and an oil change. The contact was informed that lifters on the engine and condenser line needed to be replaced.the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was 96,000.

Air conditioner condenser failed. Replacement part is on national back order.we have been waiting 5 weeks so far and no update from gm.

My rear tail light went out 1 month after warranty ended.this happens to all many autos in this class.please do something or i will stop buying gmc autos.

The passenger side brake light does not work. I replaced the light assembly and it still does not work. The dealership mechanic said it coyld be tge wiring.

Passenger rear brake light is out. All led lights will not light up with running lights on or the brake depressed

Multiple complaints have been filled with gmc about their poor brake design on their 2015- 2019 yukons the circuit breaks and the tail light assembly quits working. Yukon says they have not heard of such complaints. And will not recall their poor assembly design.

Both tail lights (brake lights and running lights in red) stop working with no warning to the driver.third brake light does continue to work.this is noticed when parked and when in motion.this is a safety issue for other drivers crashing into our vehicle because they do not know that we are braking.a friend had to point this out to us in the school pickup line.first noticed on 2/13/20.had to buy two new taillight assemblies and install.

Brake lights go out (both sides) intermittently.started happening at less than 1yr old, and continues to happen.

Left and right brake lights only work intermittently.

Front led turn signal (which should last for ever) is malfunctioning and despite purchasing an extended warranty this is not covered by the warranty company or gm. Quoted nearly $1,700 to have a turn functioning turn signal again. The whole light assembly needs replaced. This was a $60k+ vehicle!?!?!?!?!?

The left led tail light would go out and then come back on. This has been happening for over a year now. Police stopped me twice but thankfully, did not give me a ticket.had it repaired 2 or 3 times.it might last a day or two and then goes out again.apparently, there is a thin metal piece that is sorted together that keeps breaking.the right one has started doing it too.i was over the mileage for the recall.can't afford the $1600 or so it would cost for new improved tail lights.what does mileage have to do with repairing a defect in the products used in the tail light? i am constantly afraid someone will rear end me since the light doesn't work.

My passenger side tail light assembly need to be replaced as the brake lights are not working.this has become a common problem as evidenced by the number of complaints filed on your site for the same issue.lack of properly functioning tail lights is a major safety concern and a recall should be issued.

Brake lights and tail lights stopped working. The led lights have stopped working at 4 years old and 50,000 miles. No option to replace individual bulbs, dealer said the entire light fixture has to be replaced at $665 per each side. Major safety feature not working @ brake lights!!!

One of the break lights is out.they have made the brake lights in such a way that you can no longer just replace the bulbs but have to replace the entire unit at a cost of $885.there is a design flaw in the 2015 and 2016 models that causes the brake lights to fail.gmc is aware of it and did extend warranty coverage so that if you are "lucky" enough to have them fail with less than 72,000 on your vehicle they will replace them at no cost but after that they will not.they know the product and it should be recalled.it is a safety issue for people to drive around without brake lights because it costs nearly $900 a piece to replace them!perhaps they shouldn't have turned what used to be an cheap, easy thing to fix on your own into a $900 repair in the first place.now that they have they should at least stand behind the product.

All led brake tail lights suddenly failed on right rear of car.total assembly can not have electronic components/lights replaced and is a sealed unit.gmc price on assembly is approximately $800.other owners with similar failures tell me this is due to internal corrosion in supposedly sealed assembly.

The rear drivers side brake light is working only intermittently

We purchased this vehicle on 11.21.18 and the brake lights intermittently don't work.they were working at the time we drove it off the lot.the bulbs were tested by our mechanic and he stated that the gmc yukon of this year are known to have major problems with the brake light housing units on the rear of the vehicle.the electrical board associated with it has issues the mechanic stated.i reviewed many post online and wonder why this isn't a required recall. To me this is a major safety concern and we bought this vehicle to transport my kids and wife.i'd like this to be considered a recall immediately.

Drivers side taillight stopped working. Signal still operating.

Rear tail light failed, was replaced and failed again 2 months later.very expensive repair for continued malfunction.no breaklights, no turn signal, no warning.discovered by other drivers notifying me on the road.

The driver's side brake light has stopped working. Upon further investigation it was determined that the led circuit board was broken. A web search indicates that this is a common problem with this vehicle as the circuit board is cheaply made. The brake light cannot be simply replaced. The entire rear light component (brake light, running lights, turn signal) needs to be replaced to repair this. The cost to replace is ~$500.this part should be recalled and replaced with a led light board that is stronger and lasts longer than 4 years.

The contact owns a 2015 gmc yukon xl. The contact stated that while driving at 45 mph, a bystander informed the contact that the rear external brake lights were inoperable. The contact exited the vehicle and confirmed that the taillamps were inoperable. There was no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to gunn buick gmc located at (16440 interstate 35 frontage rd, selma, tx 78154 (866) 468-6484) to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the taillamp assemblies were defective and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure was intermittent. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000.*dt

The headlights housings have condensation in them and it has cause the turn signal and led lights to short out. The led lights in the tail light housing including the brake lights have also shorted out. The led screen and computer in the center console has also shorted out.

Brake light and parking light quit working.went to dealer and they said you have to replace the whole led light assembly. Would cost $850.00.

Tail lights work intermittently seems to be a common problem with new yukons.cuts in and out none working leds brake lights.

Rear brake/tail lights are not working all the time.they go in and out.

Exterior lighting issues. Rear running lights not working. Rear break lights are not working. Right side blinker not working in front head lamp or rear lighting fixture. When the vehicle is hooked to the computer at a gm dealership the computer will not show what the issue is. This is a safety issue as i can not safety drive the vehicle at night due to no lights in the rear of the vehicle nor during the day without break lights.

Was pulled over by a police officer and told that my passenger side brake light is not working.blinker and reverse light work, but not the brake light.there have been no impacts and there is not any crack or moisture inside the light housing.

Brake lights intermittently not illuminating and going out. Both driver and passenger brake lights.

Led brake lamp went out at 42k miles, but gm requires replacement of entire tail lamp assembly at exponential cost.

I have a 2015 yukon denali xl with 53k miles.a couple of months ago one bake/taillight starting flickering.it would work at times and then not at all other times.last week, both of the bake/taillights went completely out!i have no lights in the rear of my vehicle.i was pulled over twice in one weekend for this!! i was driving down the highway at night with my children in the vehicle not knowing that both of my lights were now not working!it doesn't seem that they are burnt out because it i mess with them from the outside, they will flicker a little bit.of course factory warranty is expired and new lights are at least $800 a piece!!this needs to be recalled as this is a serious safety issue!

Entire driver's side led brake lights no longer function.some type of issue with the circuits

Rear passenger taillight is out. It appears to be a common issue but dealership and gm customer care will not stand behind their product. Typical response "vehicle is out of warranty now". Now i have to pay $600+ on a part plus labor. .

My right brake light was going in and out and then it totally went out. There should be a recall on this issue as plenty of people seem to have the same problem. Led lights should last a lot longer.

Faulty tail light. Sounds like a common problem on 2015 gmc yukon.

2015 yukon denali xlintermittently failing tail lights/brake lights due to circuit board getting too hot and not communicating properly between left and right tail lights...part failure/poor manufacturing/safety issue

Intermittent brake light activation on both left and right. It happens stopped and in motion. Very dangerous! it is a known issue with broken contacts inside a sealed housing. The issue is posted all over the forums but gmc refuses responsibiliy.

The contact owns a 2015 gmc yukon xl. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact was alerted by her husband who was driving behind the vehicle, that the rear tail lights were inoperable. The contact was also alerted by other drivers that the rear tail lights were not functioning as needed. The vehicle was taken to sierra blanca motor co. (304 us-70, ruidoso, nm 88345, (855) 707-6474) to be repaired under nhtsa campaign number: 19v645000 (service brakes, hydraulic). The technician also inspected the lights and stated in the diagnostic report that all lights were working at the time of inspection. The vehicle was taken to an unknown dealer for the failure however, the second dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The contact then had her friend, who was a retired authorized gmc technician, inspected the taillights and duplicated the failure. The vehicle was then taken back to sierra blanca motor co. However, the service advisor inspected the tail lights but offered no assistance. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that they would check with the dealer to see if they could assist with the failure. The manufacturer later informed the contact that they would offer a 25% discount for each light to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 61,835.

My drivers side tail light just works intermittently when i am out on the road driving.

There are numerous customers that are experiencing problems with the taillights on the yukon denali xl. Gmc is negligent due to the fact that this problem is a safety hazard and no recall has been initiated.

Left rear light assembly intermittent open circuit. Wiring checks okay.good power and grounds.noted that the lamp housing has evidence of corrosion at the base of the main connector. The housing is a sealed unit (no serviceable parts) so the nature assembly needs to be replaced.i am a 37+year a.s.e. Master technician and state of michigan master technician so i am well seasoned at proper auto/light truck electrical diagnosis. The light will go out while siting still and/or in motion. This is a safety concern for obvious reasons.

The contact owns a 2015 gmc yukon xl. The contact stated that while depressing the brake pedal the rear brake taillights failed to illuminate. The vehicle was taken to keweenaw buick gmc located at 608 quincy st, hancock, mi 49930, to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the rear brake lights were defective and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was 102,000.

Driver side brake lights only work intermittently. The circuit on the light assembly is going bad.

The rear led taillights are malfunctioning.the passenger brake light worked intermittently for almost 6 months while before failing completely, while the taillight remained working.another 6 months have passed and neither the brake or taillight operates.currently, the driver side brake light works intermittently.research on this problem shows that they can be corrected, yet gmc dealership has quoted $700 for each light assembly.

Left brake light working intermittently and then went out completely. Right brake light followed immediately after. Dealer wants 1550.00 to replace

My passenger brake light intermittently does not work. This is clearly a common problem with this make and model. Here is an example of one of many forums : https://www.cargurus.com/cars/discussion-t53845_ds768963 this is a safety problem and gmc should offer a recall for their faulty led lights.

Passenger side tail light works only intermittently. The turn signal still functions, but the brake light itself fails. I was pulled over my police for a non-functioning tail light. New light assembly is $660 per light to replace at the dealership. This problem occurs regardless of the vehicle being in motion or not.

Tail light and brake light assembly is single led strip that has failed after only 4 years. Safety issue that thanks to gmc costs $800 for a single light.

Right brake light has been working intermittently. This has been an issue when the car is both parked and in motion.

The brake light is not working.all other functions in the assembly are fine. Reverse and turn signal,no brake indication.it does not activate a warning on the dash for the brake light failure.this happens 24/7... This should not occur with an item priced at over $700.00 to replace.

The rear taillights go out unexpectedly and can notjust replace bulb

The rear light went out. It cannot be fixed with the change of a bulb. The entire piece has to be replaced because it is an electrical issue. After looking online and talking to others with the same make and model, this is a common issue with this make/model that needs to be addressed and gmc held accountable.

Issues with back led tail lampsnot working. I have seen many issues with people having the same problem.

The led brake lights fail due to a manufacturing issue. In less than 3 years and 40,000 miles the vehicle has gone through 3 led brake light assemblies. There is no warning when they fail.

Rear tail lights intermittently working. Problem occurs when stationary or moving, can change from functioning to not functioning and back while in motion.

Turn signal failure on the passenger side. Cause by condensation in the headlamp assembly. Cost $1300 to replace and get a new turn signal. A turn signal is $5, but then integrated leds cost $1300 because they have to replace the whole assembly.

The tail lights keep going out even after having them replaced at the dealership.i have been stopped by the police and have actually had to show the invoice were i have had the lights.

(and more).

The first complaint is about the taii lights. One of the running lights does not illuminate. I figured it would be a lamp. Nope. $500-$800 to replace the entire assembly! apparently it is so common there are several people online that have businesses repairing them.

2015 gmc yukon xl driver side led brake light stopped working. Led circuit board is broke.this is a sealed brake light, so there is no fix and has to be replaced.

We purchased a 2015 gmc yukon xl denali in july 2019 from jackie cooper in edmond, ok. In december 2019, we noticed that the brake lights started intermittently going out. Some days they work fine, and then the next day they don't work at all. We've even had people stop us and tell us that the brake lights were "flickering". This is obviously a safety concern, and with the extraordinary cost to replace one of these lights, it's a budgetary concern, as well. Since we started noticing it, we also have heard of other owners of this same model and year that have had the same issue. This certainly seems like a defected product which needs a better solution. Please tell me there is another solution besides spending $1,000-$1,500 to replace something that used to be a simple bulb i could find at a auto parts store.

Tail lights are not functioning properly. N182180270 was issued due to very common issue but no recall. The special adjustment only covers up to 72,000 miles. I now have 106,000 so not covered?serious safety issue if brake lights are malfunctioning and gm aware of issue.if technician checking lights and they are intermittently working, then i drive away from dealer and they intermittently no longer work, that is a serious safety issue and a recall should happen.i took my vehicle in for an oil change and on the drive to have serviced i was told by my wife driving behind me that the right rear brake light wasnā€™t working.i asked tech to check.technician confirmed but states left isnā€™t working either. Yet on drive to drop the vehicle for oil change the left was working.and we have a time stamped photo as proof(attached). I had someone tell me right rear brake light was out a couple of years ago but when i had it checked, all were on. So when are they working? when are they not working? and that is why a recall should be issued. Correct a faulty design.these arenā€™t an easy fix of replacing a bulb.the whole unit has to be replaced at $700+ each. How many people are out there driving with these intermittent brake lights? we periodically check our lights to ensure working. But if these lights are on/off intermittently, that does very little good. Scary!

Right tail light began to not work last fall. I went to have it checked then it was working fine. Went in for about a month. Sometimes it worked then it wasn't.almost like it had a short. Eventually had to replace whole system not just a bulb.now almost one year later the same thing is happening on the left side. This is a $1,000 item.i have owned cars for ten years and never had to replace a light. Read online that there are many issues with these tail lights.

Tail light on 2015 gmc yukon xl broke on 7/18/19. Authorized gm dealership quoted $902.57 parts and labor to replace.i complained the price is too high and there is a design flaw with the tail light if it costs that much to replace.led lights are supposed to last longer.there should be a recall for the tail light. Filed a formal written complaint with gmc customer service on 7/22/19.purchased 2 new tail lights online from carid.com for $495.00 and installed the new tail lights myself.gmc finally replied on 7/31/19 my claim is denied because i installed the replacement tail lights myself and did not have the dealership install.gmc advised if the dealership installed then they would have refunded me $495.00.what difference does it make who installed the new replacement light?driving around with a broken tail light is a safety issue and also against the law and i had to make a quick decision while it took gmc 9 days to reply and it was by phone - still do not have written confirmation.gmc customer service have a strange procedure whereby you have to have an appointment to speak to a customer service rep.what if you have scheduled a business trip or have to attend a meeting?i have sent a written appeal to gmc protesting their denial decision and at the time of writing have not received a reply.bottom line is that due to safety issue and it's cause for a traffic citation there should be a recall.

Passenger break light works inconsistently

Led brake and runninglights intermittently work on one side, issue has gotton worse as temperatures have increased. Appears to work better more often at night. Occurs both when car is running and off. Others appear to have had a similar issue as a result of a cracked circuit in the light housing. It has been occurring for about a month.

I bought this yukon and the next day a gentleman that was riding behind me almost hit me he came to the side of me and said my tail light is not working they come on when they want to in and out and sometimes not at all this is a serious problem its happening to all of the newer models and they are 800 for a new tail light there needs to be a recall on the tail lights something is wrong with the led strip in them this is going to cause someone to get hurt i have 4 small children and i do not need to get into a crash and i do not need to spend 1600 plus to get new ones.

The right & left rear brake lights and runninglights intermedatly fail. I have had my right one fail, my left one fail and on one occasion both failed (right, left, brake & running lights at nighttime. I had people flagging me down at intersections and had friends text me while they observed me drive away. The lights would somehow begin to function properly but it is unknown how long they would remain non functioning. This is an enormous safety concern! it is unbelievable that gm has not recalled the poorly manufactured led lights on their vehicles. The fact that they function properly one day and then don't function the next is unacceptable. My initial quote from gm to have the light replaced was $1,600 for both lights. Riduclous cost for a four year old $60k + vehicle.it should be noted that the top /third brake light seemed to function at all times or was never reported to me as not functioning. I don't have photos of the inoperable rear brake lights. Both

Rear brake/taillight assembly not working consistently in motion.

Driver side tail light stopped working. Brake light.

I have this exact same problem...i can not afford to fix it. Brake light stopped working, gmc wants to replace the whole assembly for $800. My warranty has expired but i think gmc should have away to repair the light instead of replacing the whole assembly. A recall on this shady way of getting the consumer hard earned money. Because it should last longer. I can?t drive my car in fear of getting a ticket. Please help

The driver side tail light stopped working.this is the second time the light has stopped worki gon a vehicle with less than 60 thousand miles

2015 rear brake lights work intermittently and need to be replaced or repaired.gmc know there are numerous complaints about this problem and have done nothing.huge safety issue!!

The rear passenger & driver side brake lights just randomly stopped working. Not a bulb issue as it is the led panel of lights. The back-up bulb still works, but the led brake lights don't. Led lights should last years.dealership says it happens a lot to these vehicles, and i have to buy a whole new unit for each side. This is a huge safety issue - break lights failing due to poor wiring. Again not a replaceable bulb issue, it is due to a wiring issue within the led lighting unit itself.

Rear led tail lights failing.1 has been replaced already, second, opposite side is now failing.

The contact owns a 2015 gmc yukon xl. The contact stated while driving in another vehicle behind his wife he noticed that the rear passenger's side brake lamp was inoperable. The vehicle was taken to crawford buick gmc located at (6800 montana ave, el paso, tx 79925) where they replaced rear passenger brake lamp bulb. The contact stated that the rear driver's side brake lamp also became inoperable. The manufacturer was informed of failure. The failure mileage was 115,000.

Rear tail light leds flicker on and off and eventually stop working causing the entire housing kit to need replacing.

Brake lights work intermittently.the problem is not with the led but with the poor quality of the controller board.both of my tail lights have encountered this issue in the last 4 months and they are very expensive to replace. The part alone is over $ 900.00.i have talked to a couple of dealers about this and they are a frequent problem, and one dealer specified that he has sold 4 replacement units in the last 24 hours.this indicates that the tail light assembly is very poor quality and can be a safety hazard as there is no way to tell that your brake light isn't working unless someone tells you.

Passenger brake light intermittently went on and off, the tail light assembly was replaced. Less than 6 moths later the driver's side brake light is doing the same things. Both times have been discovered due to police stops with a car that has less than 75,000 miles. This is a safety issue, review the large amount of complaints for this issue.

All the rubber window moldings are curling out under plastic trimboth tail lights work intermediately

Front right led daylight light is out.car is out of warranty, and part is approximately $750 to replace, vice just a bulb swap.car has about 90k miles on it.led daylight is not able to be repaired.i believe it's referred to as drl.dealership will not replace in warranty, because car is out of warranty - and replacement for a light is over $700....absolutely unacceptable and unsustainable.especially since this model is a 2015 model.over the life of this vehicle, how many times am i expected to replace a $750 led housing?

Both brake lights failed within days of each other.the failure was the same as indicated here: https://www.cargurus.com/cars/discussion-t53845_ds768963 . I have pictures of the failed piece.

My tail light will quit working intermittently. When it is cool, they work, when it gets hot, they quit working.

The rear tail lights do not work. The dealership identified this fault and said that the problem is very common.

2015 yukon brake light needs recall" does not work ...it's a known issue and an expensive fix. Need help this is

Bad led brake lights:we purchased our gmc yukon xl 2015 in may 2016. Since then we have had to replace both brake lights(1 after a year-march 2017 and the 2nd after 2 years-aug 2018) and have had the vehicle only 2 years. They are led lights so not a cheap repair. Quoted cost $750-$2000. So far, our warranty has covered the repairs but once warranty is off, it will cost too much to repair and is not safe to drive without repairing!we have had many vehicles over the years and have only replaced brake lights 2-3 times and for less than $25 each time. This appears to be a bad design or faulty parts by gmc.one of the failures was due to internal short in the led module. We would like gmc to resolve the faulty parts and recall the part and fully replace our brake lights with reliable lights vs lights that only last a year. Thank you!

Rear taillight & brake light - intermittent operation of rear led marker and brake light on driver side.vehicle has < 30,000 miles. Gm selling dealer aware of issue with no action taken.

The rear taillights will not work sometimes!there's times where there off and gmc isaware of this issue!!

Took my certified pre-owned 2015 yukon xl into dealer while still under warranty with intermittent failure in both tail lamps (the red part for brake and tail lamp function goes out; turn signal still works). Condition was not noted on my service ticket since the tail lamps was working fine at the time.warranty expired, passenger tail lamp went out completely and both dealer and a call to gmc told me that they wouldn't assist in spite of my attempt to address while under warranty.needed tail lamp to pass state inspection and return my wife and four kids safely to the road, so i had to pay. As i walked out of the dealership to retrieve my vehicle after the $400 passenger tail lamp replacement, i found the driver side tail lamp to be inoperable, even though it had just passed the state inspection 20 min prior.i showed the service advisor and spoke to service manager.they both agreed that the tail lamp issue is wide-spread, unsafe, and a major quality issue, but they were bound by gmc policies. Yes, gmc extended the warranty for these tail lamps, but i bought my vehicle as preowned certified with 68k miles. Special part warranty went to 70k and my certified warranty went to 80k.i did my part and took the vehicle in as soon as the problem arose, yet here i am holding an $800 bag of broken tail lamps. Horrendous quality issue that is a major safety issue for these vehicles. It is time to issue the recall!!!

Brake light does not work on passenger side. Cannot be replaced/repaired because the part is on back order.

Rear led brake light on right does not work at 60000 miles. The left rear led brake light was replaced under warrantee in 2016. My mechanic says he has seen this on numerous gmc yukons of this model. Internet search shows many people have same issue. Replacement unit cost is $700. Called gmc who said this was first time they heard of problem with led rear light unit.

My passenger tail light has stopped working. I have 50000 miles on my yukon and can not imagine that this should have happened already. The cost to fix the tail light is ridiculous $1300 for one light. I could by a used car for that price. How many complaints does it take for a recall??

Tail lights intermittedly do not work.sometimes it's the right side and sometimes it's the left side.i've seen many other complaints on line as i have been researching for pricing.

We purchased this vehicle in february 2019. Less than a year later our right tail light started going out randomly.then it completely would not work.we pay for an extended warranty, but it didn't cover it.then shortly after the left tail light did the same thing.we currently have 84k miles on our vehicle. Due to negligence, and a dishonest company (gmc), this military family is down to 1 vehicle as we cannot afford the almost $2k it will cost to fix the tail lights. This is not due to anything we did, it has everything to do with fault brake lights that gmc will not fix past 72k miles which is disgusting and a slap in the face to people who give them their hard earned money.i have done extensive research and this is a very common problem in these vehicles. There are dozens of blogs, posts, websites, etc of customers complaining of this issue and gmc not helping past 72k miles which is a horrible explanation and is not helpful to most of us. We have already had to pay out of pocket for things that have broken (normal wear and tear which is understandable) that wasn't covered under our platinum extended warranty.however, gmc needs to do the right thing especially for our men and women in uniform, and fix what their company has deemed as faulty past 72k miles!!!

There is a known electrical issue with the yukon tail lights. The enclosed led running lights and brake lights will go out and not operate. This is a huge safety concern as there is no brake light that will illuminate and no running light.both of my tail lights have gone out on my vehicle. During a record check i have learned that this is a common problem with the yukon's. Gmc has failed to take action about the known problem. The problem is persistent while being stopped and driving. Secondly the braking vacuum system willgo out unexpectedly. This causes the assisted brakes to fail causing the braking system not to take affect and stop the vehicle properly. This is a huge safety concern as you will not be able to safely stop your vehicle in a timely manner and will cause several accidents.i noticed that the brakes had filled while being stopped at a stoplight and also while being mobile and driving.

My 2015 gmc yukon xl brake lights intermittently don't work from the day i purchased it and cant the dealer to fix the problem.

Led taillights are defective. They work intermittently on both sides. See numerous other yukon and yukon xl's around town with the exact same issue. Intermittent brake and tail lights is unsafe. From research i've done, it appears to be a defective part. Gmc should take action.

Rear brake light does not work. Gm dealership states that this led brake light was designed to be lifetime. Received letter from gm stating that they are only covering the free replacement thru 72,000 mile. My vehicle has more than 72,000 miles. Cost to repair $800.

The contact owns a 2015 gmc yukon xl. The contact stated that the tail lights on the vehicle became inoperable; however, there was no indication on the instrument panel that the tail lights were inoperable. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. Richard kay superstore (located at 1935 pearman dairy rd, anderson, sc 29625, (864) 332-4031) was informed of the failure and stated that the tail lights needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000.

Left (driver side) rear tail light assembly is completely dead. This is the second time in two years. Will be the third assembly on the vehicle in the five years i have owned it.the assembly does not last. All the led's stop working. There doesn't appear to be any particular reason that the shop can find that it causing it.

The brake and tail lights on this gmc yukon only randomly light up. Have been told random times by other motorist that brake or tail lights are not working on highway. I've contacted gm multiple times on phone and at dealer and they want me to pay out of pocket to fix this safety issue. They finally sent a letter out today noting there aware of this problem but still want fix mine because it's over 72k on yukon.safety has no mileage limit and gm needs to fix these problems. Google this issue and you will see the internet is full of complaints about gm led brake and tail lights going bad. Thanks for any help with this matter.

Back driver's side brake led light out. Dealer wants $900 to fix. Common problem with gm faulty led lights.

Passenger side taillight is not working correctly. Signal works, but the brake light and running light does not work. I got this vehicle in april 2014, taillight started going out exactly 2 years after purchase. Took vehicle to dealership and they said it would be about $650 to replace the whole taillight and that it was not repairable. The taillight is still out and i refuse to replace it since i believe this is a defect. I have heard many other similar stories of other yukons with this same problem. When in cold weather (under 60 degrees f) the light used to flicker but not stay on.it has been hot most of this year so i do not know if this is still true.

Led brake lights work sometime and not at all when in the heat of the day. Have had a number of people come to me in parking lots and tell me that the brake lights are not working.

Both left and right rear tail lights stopped working. They first stopped only intermittently but then completely went out, within only 3-4 years of new. Research shows this problem is extremely common and represents either, at best, a very poor defect in manufacturing or, at worst, a planned-in defect in order to steal money from consumers who already paid handsomely for a vehicle. Since the led housing is a single sealed unit, dealers state the entire light housing needs to be replaced at an approximate cost of $700 per light. While it's true that lights can 'go out', a continued failure of the same part (research shows the exact same failure point can be found in each circumstance) should represent gross negligence in manufacturing which only a recall notice can satisfy.

Led taillights and brake lights work intermittently on both driver and passanger side.problem has been long term and appears to be failing more frequently now.

The suburban is not fully 3 years old and having issues with the tail lights. It is 1700.00 to repair tail lights. That is crazy. The lights go on and off. Days it works days it doesn't.i have had 2 warnings to get them fixed. First it was just the right one and the officer noticed that the left keep going on and off.

Right tail light does not illuminate.gmc will not cover this repair even though it is a known issue since my vehicle has over 72,000 miles.this should be covered indefinitely.

Replaced driver's side rear lights on 9-4-18. Now, 9-10-19 needto replace passenger side rear light. Was stopped on the highway and told light is out.

Left and right led taillights and brake lights work intermittently.this problem has continued for over a year and is a known problem to gm.

Break light intermittently illuminates on driver's side. Received letter from gmc dated december 2019, "intended to make you aware that some 2015 model year gmc yukon xl vehicles may have a condition where the brake lights intermittently do not illuminate". The would repair it with no cost only if this would have occurred within 6 year of the date your vehicle was originally placed in service or 72,000 miles. Of course, we are way above that. Dealer quoted $800 cost repair.

My yukon 2015 had 62,000 miles in may 2019 when the left tail light went out. Because it is an led light, the part from the dealership average around $700. It was no longer under warranty and i had it replaced in the beginning of june 2019. Today my right rear tail light is now out. Apparently this is a known problem with the 2015 yukons and gmc will not issue a recall or do anything about it. The part is way overpriced. If this is an issue, it should either be recalled for safety reasons or the part should be made available at a more reasonable price. Spending $1500.00 for breaklights in one month is wrong. Please someone reach out and help stop this.

I am extremely disappointed at general motors at the lack of quality design in the rear tail light led assembly. My wife and i have owned gmc vehicles all our lives and have never been more dissatisfied with the lack of quality design in the rear tail light led design and design life.in conducting research the last few days, this has been a consistent and well documented design flaw that gm still has not addressed. Led lighting when design properly is supposed to function properly much longer than standard bulb incandescent lighting.this creates a safety issue with our vehicle because we have no rear lighting and then we receive the estimate from our dealer "royal buick gmc" at over $1500.obviously, i am feeling such frustration because my rear tail light assembly's are not functioning properly on my wife's **** gmc yukon xl slt. Of course after the initial warranty has expired. Coincidence, or not very displeased?i would like someone contact me at ***-***-**** or by email and offer assistance to replace these tail light assemblies due to the quality or lack there of, in the part. **sincerely disgruntled gm customer!!!

Both tail lights stopped working on the freeway during my trip to san diego from phoenix.about halfway here one tail light went out in about 20 miles later the other one stopped working. I know this because a friend was following me.i called the dealership, he stated that the tail lights are on national backorder and won't be in for a week plus. Now i am driving around california with no brake lights.. I only have 48,000 miles on this suv, each tail light is $760 the only way to repair this is to replace them. Thank you gm i will be forwarding you my ticket..

The brake lights on my 2015 gmc yukon xl have both gone out. I have been pulled over and questioned about it several times by my local law enforcement. I believe the manufacturer state that they have a life of 40,000 hours of continuous use but, only function for a fraction of this amount & they are $600-700 to replace.

The drivers side rear tail light stopped working.checked multiple forums and this issue continues to be a chronic issue for owners of this vehicle.

The contact owns a 2015 gmc yukon xl. The contact stated that both tail lights shorted out. The vehicle was taken to courtesy buick gmc (1857 edwards lake rd, birmingham, al 35235, (205) 718-7565) twice for both of the repairs. The dealer and manufacturer indicated that there was no recall campaign to provide a solution and suggesting having the same oem part replaced. The approximate failure mileage was 95,000. *dl

While driving on highway institute steering power and could barely control the steering wheel while power assist warning, stabilize, airbag lightand passenger windows wouldn't go up.

The contact owns a 2015 gmc yukon xl. While driving 25 mph, the contact smelled fuel coming from the fuel tank. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The contact did not notice any leaks coming from the fuel tank. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was determined that the high pressure fuel tankpump failed. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer (ryan gmc buick cadillac, 1111 20th ave sw, minot, nd 58701, (701) 864-3009) was contacted to schedule a diagnostic appointment for a second opinion. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact to call nhtsa and file a complaint because there were no recalls related to the vin. The failure mileage was 84,000.

Fuel injector is direct injection into cylinder.excess carbon build-up is endemic with this design causing power loss/decrease, knocking, and potentially increased emissions.safety factor is loss/decrease of engine power when needed for safe highway driving.this problem is noted in gm literature and technical bulletins.the malfunction indicator light (mil), also know as the check engine light, illuminated and provided generic malfunction codes via the obd.cylinder #7 fuel injector removed and replaced, mechanic inspected the used injector.heavy carbon build-up noted.

Fuel smell inside and outside of vehicle while driving and parked. Extended crank after (overnight) engine off park.fuel puddle noticed under parked vehicle on garage floor and driveway after overnight parking.smell and fuel leak seemed worse with a full tank.also noticed more frequent auto shut off at fuel station during automatic filling.dealer dropped tank and found a fuel line that was 'rubbed' through to the point of failure. I will document with pictures upon my return to the dealership if needed for future.i find this completely unacceptable that on a ($70k) 3 year old vehicle there is a fuel leak that could have been prevented with a 10 cent piece of insulation to protect the lines from rubbing.sounds like someone choose to look the other way during validation testing! total bs.

After driving a 100 mile round trip on a us hwy, county roads, and city streets, we arrived back home and before we could turn our 2015 gmc yukon xl, we immediately began to smell gasoline.directly underneath where our 8 month child was just siting, is where we noticed 87 octane fuel dripping rapidly.as i was looking, my wife was removing our child out the passenger side where she was sitting.we had so much gas on the ground and the fumes where so strong.i can not stress enough how quickly the fumes engulfed our whole vehicle, with all of us still in the vehicle.had there been a spark of any kind, it would have been enough to catch our vehicle on fire with us possible still in the vehicle and mainly our infant still in the vehicle.we had the vehicle brought to a local repair shop and had to have our fuel feed line (acdelco part# 84200274) replaced. The engineers for gm, stupidly had this fuel line running through a molded clip, that is part of the fuel tank, and the hose was 'snapped' into it tightly. This caused enough friction in the line moving back and forth to finely place a hole in the fuel line.nhtsa must take this report seriously before it cost the life of someone that does not deserve burning alive in a vehicle.issue the recall immediately before this happens!most people can not afford a $350-$1,000 fix or much less the value of someone's life!

Rear liftgate will not open. Replaced liftgate control module and still will not work. Mechanic says it is now body control module.lights stay on inside vehicle at all times and horn is disabled

While driving on highway institute steering power and could barely control the steering wheel while power assist warning, stabilize, airbag lightand passenger windows wouldn't go up.

Transmisin problems we where driving around the city at at 30-40mph when the gears went crazy it accelerated by itself rpms went crazy it sounded like the transmisinhad gears in pan loud grinding then also the seats dont vibrate with land departure it shows service lane departurelast when drivi g at speeds lf 40-70 mph there is a strong vibration in front makes entire truck shake took to dealer rotated tires and balanced allignment also and problem still there idk what to do

I have a 2015 gmc yukon xl denali.truck was purchased from gmc certified dealer in july 2018, with 16,000 miles. The truck is garaged kept, and gently used with only 37,500 miles. When sometimes driving at low speeds, the transmission will sometimes slip (aka studder).when starting (engine is cold) and shifting into d, sometimes the transmission shifts hard, or slams into 1st gear.that can't possibly be good for the transmission.occasionally the transmission will shift hard between gears at moderate speed. I have just learned there are service bulletins going back to 2016 regarding complaints for the newly developed 8-speed m5u/8l90 automatic transmission.the local gmc dealer has serviced the truck 4 times in past 2 years and never bothered to ask about the symptoms of transmission problems. Or alert me to the defective transmission.gm & dealer colluded to without pertinent information from me to cause the original manufacturer warranty to expire, forcing repairs expense to be out-of-pocket on the consumer.dealer charged me $300 to swap the drain and flush the transmission fluid and switch to another type.if the dealer had alerted me to the issue on 1 of the 4 previous service visits, the service would have been covered under warranty.but now that the truck is 3 months out of warranty, i have to pay out of pocket.gm and the dealer have known about the issue for years, and did nothing.

I was driving up north in 4wheel drive and transmission cam out of gear i stopped the vechile and restarted now the transmission does not shift properly and steering is hard to steer and it goes in and out

While traveling down hill on long grades the transmission drops to neutral or very low gear and engine revs drop to idle. The grade break disengages and the vehicle free wheels and hence speeds up. The only way to re-engage the transmission is to excessively rev the engine. This is has been an intermittent issue over the last 18 months and i have not been able to replicate at a service center.

The yukon's automatic transmission can get very jerky when accelerating from a stop, especially when the engine is cold (first 10-15 mins of driving). City driving seems to be the main environment when the transmission jerkiness occurs. The jerkiness started subtly around 75,000 miles, and now at almost 100k miles, the issue has only gotten more severe. Accelerating from a stop uphill and around turns are times when it's more prone to jerk. The best way i can describe it would be a lag in gear shifting caused by some type of delay the car's electronic control system. The lag has occurred so violently at times, it feels like i've been in a rear-end collision. I would hesitate to allow babies to ride in this car due to their inability to brace when these jerks occur; there's definitely enough force to cause whiplash to a baby. I would say the jerk happens 2-3 times every trip, even if i slowly accelerate to prevent quick gear shifts from happening.

With all windows up, vehicle exhibits a buffeting / pressure sensation that can be felt predominately in the ears between 30 and 50 mph. Similar to when only the rear passenger windows are down in many vehicles. I second the fact that after any amount of time at these sustained speeds it begins to cause dizziness, ear pain, and headaches. Gm forums are flooded with complaints. This vehicle obviously was manufactured with a significant, known flaw that they cannot currently fix. This should absolutely be a safety issue strictly based upon the physical symptoms onset by the feeling within the vehicle.

The contact owns a 2015 gmc yukon xl. When the contact pulled into a fuel station, shifted into park, and exited the vehicle, it began to roll on its own. The contact's 12 year old son stopped the vehicle by depressing the brake pedal with his hand. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 121,000.

...wife stopped on hill to speak to son.. I believe at this point the vehicle went to neutral, when she try to go forward, it went down the hill hit a pole and rolled over.

Problem started when driving at 60-70 mph you can feel a strong vibration cauaes entire truck to shake dont know what it is dealers cant fix also transmisin shifts into gears hard accelerates by itself causes rough driving very loud noise under truck soumds like transmisin about to come off and also shifts into 4wd by itself or park to nuetral and truck wont run

Replaced transmission with dealer 2 time

Wife and three kids in vehicle, stops on hill seems to have shifted into neutral. Goes backwards down hill flips over lands on roof. No injuries thank god! vehicle had been back for transmission recall twice, the last time they said they had to wait for parts... Mind you the vehicle is brand new. Someone needs to get these off the road now!

My 2015 yukon xl slt transmission developed a stutter while going along accelerating but would go away as you drive. Unfortunately this came to an abrupt end this past january when i jumped in it and went about 50 feet and the vehicle sounded like it was in neutral and i couldn't go anywhere without cutting it off and starting over which only caused the process to repeat.. I had my mechanic tow it to their shop and diagnose the problem. The told me the transmission was malfunctioning.i had a second opinion from the dealership i bought it from and the conclusion was the same. The vehicle had 162k on it and i was expecting it to match what my previous yukon reached and was still going. Over $4k later with new transmission, i'mkeeping my fingers crossed. This shouldn't have happened this soon.

Driving in snowy conditions with the vehicle in 4wd, began navigating a turn and the vehicle seemed to shift into neutral, and the dash displayed the "4wd shift on progress" on the dash without driver touching the 4wd buttons. Could not steer or brake or do anything. Vehicle ended up hitting a wall causing a fair amount of damage.vehicle does not go in for repairs until next week but the dealership made it sound like it's a transfer case issue which appears to be a known issue on these vehicles.

Vehicle sputters when driving off from a start or accelerating while driving also when coming to a complete stop, after being stop it feels like the torque converter is not in sync with the rest of the transmission making it feel like someone hit you from behind took it to my local dealer they performed a transmission flush and a reflash of the computer it seemed to fix the problem but came back after about a month or so, dealer stated that another recall was coming in march of 2019 (still waiting) that was going to solve the problem. Gm needs to address this problem with the powert train believe the affected years for gmc yukon is 2015, 2016, 2017 there is a class action lawsuit out there about this. Good luck everyone

Vehicle exhibits a "buffetting" or pressure sensation that can be felt primarily in the ears between 40 and 50 mph.after any amount of time at these sustained speeds it begins to cause dizziness, ear pain, and headaches.this condition was confirmed by the dealer with 3 separate drivers including a tech, the sales manager, and the owner.gm has a technical pi issued, as the problem is apparently relatively common in these vehicles.suggested repairs include re-bonding the roof sheet metal to the frame, repair/replacement of the rear differential, replacement of the propshaft, repair/replacement of wheels and tires, removal and "relaxing" of the exhaust system, and more. None of which appears to solve the issue. A quick internet search turned up dozens of cases with this issue in just one website.gm has manufactured a vehicle with a significant, known flaw that they cannot currently fix. This flaw should be considered a safety issue strictly based upon the physical symptoms triggered by the sensation within the vehicle.

The contact owns a 2015 gmc yukon xl. The contact stated while driving 45 mph, the brake pedal was depressed and went to the floorboard. The contact stated that there was a vibration in the brake pedal. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent. Additionally, while driving at an undisclosed speed, the front driver's side brake pad disengaged. The contact inspected the brake reservoir bottle and noticed there was no brake fluid in the reservoir. The vehicle was taken to maggio buick gmc (310 new roads st, new roads, la 70760), to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the front brake pads and ball joints needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 73,000.

The brakes failed in my car causing a rear collision with an object in my driveway.after inspection from a certified gmc dealership, the brake failure was not caused by service neglect or age of brakes, it was due to the vaccum pump failure to provide pressure.this is the second time in two years this part has caused my brakes to fail. The dealership replaced the part at no cost though there is not formal recall on this part.both times this part failed the car was in motion. The first time it was towed out of a city to be repaired as it was dangersous to drive and the second time the failure caused the vehicle to collide with a large dumpster in my driveway causing extensive damage to the rear passenger side of the car.thankfully there was not physical damage to any persons in either of these two incidents which both were no fault of the driver or owner of the car.

The brakes on my 2015 gmc yukon suddenly became extremely difficult to operate with very hard brake pedal and increased stopping distance.i was able to bring the vehicle to the dealer for service. They informed me that there was no output from the engine vacuum pump to the brake booster and it would be addressed under a special coverage warranty from gm repaired.however, after fixing the covered part of the vacuum pump assembly, they indicated that the problem was still prevalent and determined they also needed to replace the brake booster that was also at fault.the brake booster was not covered under the special coverage and resulted in a significant charge. It seems that the braking system issues are related and needs to be looked into further.

My passenger side tail light assembly need to be replaced as the brake lights are not working.this has become a common problem as evidenced by the number of complaints filed on your site for the same issue.lack of properly functioning tail lights is a major safety concern and a recall should be issued.

While operating the vehicle and attempting a stop the braking became poor and i had to depress the brake pedal as hard as i could.however, even after that the vehicle did not stop right away and took more distance to come to a full stop.the brake felt "soft" and not like it usually does.interestingly...the brake would seem to work again immediately after the incident.i've had probably 3 or 4 incidents, over the past year, where this has happened.none of the incidents have resulted in any traffic incidents, but all have required more stopping distance than normal.all of the incidents have typically occurred at lower speeds (less than 40 mph).

Intermittent brake light activation on both left and right. It happens stopped and in motion. Very dangerous! it is a known issue with broken contacts inside a sealed housing. The issue is posted all over the forums but gmc refuses responsibiliy.

Takata recall driver side brake light stop working while driving in the city streets

2015 rear brake lights work intermittently and need to be replaced or repaired.gmc know there are numerous complaints about this problem and have done nothing.huge safety issue!!

Brake vacuum pump failed.while towing a boat and backing up my brake pedal went hard when i pushed down and my vehicle would not stop.i was able to steer out of danger and eventually come to a stop.

When coming to a stop, the brake pedal became stiff and did not engage. This has happened on multiple occasions in the past, and happens when the vehicle is traveling at slow speeds (less than 5mph).the issue is a faulty power break pump.

While driving my yukon, i was preparing to stop a light only to struggle with pressing the brake pedal, almost hit a vehicle that was in front of me

While driving approximately 10-15 mph, the brake pedal was depressed, but failed to stop the vehicle. As a result, the contact's vehicle crashed into the rear of another vehicle. A police report was filed. There were no injuries. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. Geoff penske buick gmc (100 s museum rd, shillington, pa 19607, (484) 525-0979) was contacted and informed the contact that the vehicle was included in nhtsa campaign number: 19v645000 (service brakes, hydraulic). The manufacturer was contacted and provided case numbers: 9-5487572705 and 9-5520075396. The approximate failure mileage was 57,000.

Power breaking fails when driving at low speeds, brake pedal stiff and hard to push down to stop vehicle in both forward and reverse directions when inching forward at a stop light/sign, or parking in a parking lot in forward and reverse car keeps moving. Stopping required very hard push on the stiff brake pedal.. Braking at higher speeds less affected but sudden stops can require more force than usual as the car slows down. Problem began december 2017 rarely and intermittently, and increased to all the time by february 2019 at low speeds the power brake did not work and required much force on the brake pedal to stop vehicle every time. Brake fluid was fine and so was brake pads. Gm dealership visit showed a failure of the vacuum pump for brake line and they installed a redesigned pump which shows that the original has faulty design. They also required a belt that operates pump to be replaced as well. This seems to have fixed the problem for now but this repair has a two year guarantee. Price for me to fix over $881+tax.

The brake light is not working.all other functions in the assembly are fine. Reverse and turn signal,no brake indication.it does not activate a warning on the dash for the brake light failure.this happens 24/7... This should not occur with an item priced at over $700.00 to replace.

(and more).

While on vacation he brakes started fading, especialyat slow speeds. Creating a very unsafe situation at highway speeds. My dealer says they have not had any problems but it is all over the internet.

...wife stopped on hill to speak to son.. I believe at this point the vehicle went to neutral, when she try to go forward, it went down the hill hit a pole and rolled over.

My vehicle has suffered from poor slow speed braking since it was new. I was told this is just a characteristic of the vehicle. When i pointed out this problem again, i was told that gm recommends replacing the vacuum pump, but since i was out of warranty, i would have to pay out of pocket. After numerous accidents and complaints to the nhtsa, gm issue a recall. The recall did not call for replacing the vacuum pump as gm had previously requested, and instead did a software update. I just had this recall performed, and the brakes are now worse than ever before. Today, i was pulling into a carwash, and when i hit the brakes, they were hard as a rock and would not stop my vehicle. I almost hit the vehicle in front of me. I had to warn the person at the carwash to be careful that the brakes were not working properly. After he moved my vehicle, he said that he new what i was talking about. This situation can be very dangerous. It may cause you to strike the vehicle in front of you. If there is a person between you and the vehicle in front of you, such as a carwash, they may be crushed between the two vehicles. This problem occurs only at low speed such as parking lots or in stop and go traffic. This problem has been occuring since the vehicle was new. It is now worse after having the recall performed to correct this problem. The most recent occurence was today.

When moving in a parking spot the brake pedal became hard as if it lost power brakes, but then returned. A few days later on the freeway traffic stopped in front of us and it happened again. This caused us to need to swerve to avoid causing an accident until we were able to come to a stop. After several miles the power brakes have not returned. There is oil in the vacuum line at the booster and gas mileage ya been poor the past few weeks prior to this. It all points to a faulty vacuum pump. 121,000 miles on the truck.

My right side brake assembly seems to only work when it wants too.works on cold mornings, but as the day gets warmer the light assembly doesn't work anymore. No lights, or brake lights.

I lost brakes. Extreme pressure on peddle required for brakes to engage.even then only reduced braking power was available. Required replacement of vacuum pump and booster. Occurred when vehicle engine was at idle. Otherwise brakes felt week but available.

The contact owns a 2015 gmc yukon xl. While driving 5 mph and low speeds, the brakes seized. When driving at higher speeds, the brakes performed properly. The contact would have to place the vehicle in neutral and rev the engine for the brakes to work. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to seilveira buick gmc (985 healdsburg ave, healdsburg, ca 95448, (866) 572-7256) where it was diagnosed that a new vacuum pump needed to be installed. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and did not assist. The failure mileage was 105,000.

The brake pedal was very hard and would not completely stop the vehicle as very low speed in the driveway.stopped and restarted the engine and the operation was normal.this has occurred one time earlier several months before and has operated normally since.

When driving at slow speeds i lose breaking power.it takes both feet pressing as hard as i can to get the car to stop.i have nearly hit two cars while parking and several in traffic while in rush hour.it feels as though i lose vacuum.if i increase the rpm's on the vehicle i regain vacuum.usually happens when parking.

While in motion the brakes went out completely in july 2015.then while driving down the interstate at 75 mph the brakes went out completely in 2018. Both times i was charged a deductible. Both times the complete brake system was completely replaced by a dealership.after the second incident i contacted gmc. After numerous phone calls the offered me $2000 towards a new vehicle. I was very upset with them and threatened to get a lawyer if i was hurt in this vehicle or hurt others in the future. It was a terrifying experience and i felt like i deserved more.they wouldn't even pay for the rent a car i had to use on my vacation while the brake system was replaced. I paid $70,0000 for this car, but don't want to fear loosing brakes ever again!

My 2015 yukon xl has no brake light that is working on the left side.i thought maybe you could replace the bulb but as i found out, it is a led sealed unit that was never meant to go out.now as i look up this problem with other yukon xl owners, i see that it is a problem with lots of owners! so why is this not a recall item by now. Apparently it is a big issue! a new whole light assembly to fix this issue is over 800 bucks! these brake lights not working are a huge safety issue!

Both led brake lights stopped working. They were both replaced by the dealership. Now approximately 7 months later the passenger brake light has stopped working again. This is a very expensive part, which cost $700.00 each side, and has failed twice in year. From a simple search on the internet this seems to be a very common problem for gmc yukon's and denali's but there is not a recall for this failure. The problem seems to be a faulty design. The solder connection prematurely breaks and causes the led brake lights to not work.

I was never notified of a recall on the vacuum pump that controls the brakes. My brakes went out while driving without warning. Brought it to the dealership, and of course they only covered the recalibration of the vacuum pump but not the vacuum pump itself. Absolutely ridiculous and very expensive repair that i feel gmc should be responsible for in full.

While driving at slow speed in school parking lot brake pedal failed to stop vehicle when using normal brake pressure. Pedestrian in front of vehicle jumped out of the way to avoid being struck.

From time to time brake pedal becomes hard when backing up or going forward making the vehicle hard to come into a complete stop.

Brake pedal is stiff at low speeds. The pedal locks up and stopping is delayed 2 to 3 feet. It makes operating the vehicle unsafe. I have done research on this issue. Others are experiencing the same dangerous delayed stopping distance and stiff brake pedal at low speeds.

Issue when braking. Lots of force needed at times to stop.seems to occur more at slower speeds.

Today, while coming to a stop, the brake pedal became stiff and did not engage. This has happened on multiple occasions in the past, and happens when the vehicle is traveling at slow speeds (less than 5mph).

I've experienced 2 power steering failures in the last 6 months. First, the eps failed (which was recalled for many of the same model--but not mine) which i replaced.now, power steering failed again, this time the steering gear per the dealership.this is a safety hazard!with the most recent failure, if your hands are not grasping the steering wheel firmly, the car will veer sharply to either the right or left.and steering this beast with no power steering is nearly impossible.many drivers would not be able to overpower the dead electric steering system.the first warning came as loud screeching sounds from the steering at low speed.it felt as though the power steering motor was intermittent, and "jolting" the steering wheel.the screeching stopped at speed, but the jittering/jolting of the electric system continued.this is a serious malfunction, especially with so few miles on the vehicle.

When parking the steering wheel locks up, the monitor that plays the radio shuts of and my speedometer monitor shows 3 to 4different warnings such as brake assist off, park assist off, stabilitrak and power steering. This is while the car is in motion as well as when i put it in park.

While driving on highway institute steering power and could barely control the steering wheel while power assist warning, stabilize, airbag lightand passenger windows wouldn't go up.

The contact owns a 2015 gmc yukon xl.

I was driving up north in 4wheel drive and transmission cam out of gear i stopped the vechile and restarted now the transmission does not shift properly and steering is hard to steer and it goes in and out

All the rubber window moldings are curling out under plastic trimboth tail lights work intermediately

My vehicle has a significant vibration when traveling 40mph and above with a rear window down. The vibration is also accompanied by increased cabin pressure. These issues are causing headaches, nausea, and dizziness. Dealership confirms issue and tried to repair, but unable to.the vibration started right after we took delivery of the car and has only gotten worse. We bought the car in october 2015 and the issue continues unfixed to this day after 5 visits.

The clear coat on my hood and roof is completely gone.i noticed the hood looked a little dull about 6 months ago and it progressively got worse.now the pain is starting to chip. This vehicle is only 5 years old, there's no way the clear coat should be completely gone.

My 2015 gmc yukon xl with 5000 miles exhibits a buffeting / pressure sensation that can be felt predominately in the ears between 30 and 70 mph when only the rear passenger windows are down . After a short amount of time it begins to cause dizziness, ear pain, and headaches. Something is very wrong and must be fixed

When driving between 40-70 miles an hour. I feel a vibration somewhere in the vehicle. The vibration feels like u are rolling over rumble strips.this happens time and time again on the highway, while in motion only.

Magnetic ride control issue possibly.while traveling down road, highway or side street, vehicle rides extremely rough and bounces.

I purchased our 2015 gmc yukon xl in october of 2014.i have been dealing with noise coming from the tires for about a year now.i have taken the vehicle in for service and had many parts replaced only for the noise to come right back.my vehicle only has 40,000 miles and all the tires are wearing to the point that belts are now showing.when talking to continental these factory tires have an 80,000 mile warranty but that tire wear warranty does not cover factory tires.after calling gmc, continental and my local dealer, i finally was told they would give me $250 toward new tires but i could only use that toward the purchase of continental tires.recently there was a recall on the same tires that are on my vehicle for all the problems i have been having.when i called continental, i was told that my tires are not included in the recall.how can i have the exact same issues that are described in the recall but there is nothing i can do about it because my dot is not in the 1 month recall.i have now had to spend $1000 to purchase new tires for a vehicle that has only 40,000 miles on it and cost $70,000 to purchase 2 years ago.

Thread of the left back tire flowered up and it popped while driving on a highway, never seen anything like that on a flat. A collision almost took place, my husband was almost smashed between the concrete wall and the truck while trying to check the tire, on star response was going to take 1hr 45 min.after getting to a safe place we checked the other 3 tires and notice the right rear tire presented missing part of the tire wall as a puzzle piece missing, tires had exactly 30k miles with this trip. Tires are continental p275-55r20-111swe told the dealer tires are defective.

On the day i test drove my yukon my husband and i noticed a vibration in the vehicle. When we returned to dealer noticed one of the rims was different than the other three so we all believed it was the cause. Was told it would be handled. So we came back to pickup and that's where it all began. This vehicle has severe reverberation and vibrations. Reverberation causes severe headaches and nausea. My driving leg goes numb from the vibration that comes thru the gas pedal. So unsafe. Severe tunneling vibration they have done the tires not the problem. Repositioned upper and lower rear control arms to change pinion angle &checked and adjusted transmission cross member and mount.picked it up immediately noticed nothing had changed. When right back to dealer and service manager drove with me. He also agreed that it wasn't fixed. Brought back again. After doing another series of things gmc rep drove vehicle and said that pico scores fall under specs. Offered me a additional 2yr/24000 mile warranty. Haha i trade every three years and put 6000 miles per year on my suv. So on 1/28/16 the pico score was 20 before the repairs claimed they got it down to 5. Picked it up brought it back to dealer 2/3 (i've put 45 miles on between services) take it back out on road pico back at 20 did more stuff got it back down to 6. So gm rep says it's within gm specs?? this is crazy. Just took disabled husband to dr and he could hardly make it home in this vehicle. This is a severe health concern. Does someone have to have an accident and kill someone before this is addressed. I have actually stumbled after getting out of this vehicle due to thereverberation and my equilibrium being off because of it. I had wked for a gm dealer for 25 years that's when they used to take care.of there customers. I have driven and owned 20 suburban & yukons i have never had one like this. Conclusion: not fixed

Horrible cabin pressure and buffeting above speeds of 40mph.passengers have complained of headaches, dizziness, ears popping, etc.occurs with all windows and sunroof closed.during long periods it can sometimes create nausea and sick feeling even hours after exiting truck.

Rear passenger brake light is working intermittently. Purchased extended warranty, but it is not covering cost to replace which dealer says will be over $700. Was told that gmc knows these lights are not lasting as long, so they extended the warranty of the lights, but i am still out due to miles on my car. The purchased extended warranty goes to 125k miles, but they will not cover.

Roof leak. Determined to be sharkfin antenna.

As i was driving my vehicle yesterday after it was raining, the driver's side sun visor leaked water.i was told by my gmc dealership that the visor is leaking due to the antenna on the top of my vehicle.(i do not have a sun roof)so, my headliner is wet and the antenna needs to be replaced.i was told by my gmc dealership (i work for the family that owns the dealership) that the antenna is not covered under a recall.i do not think i should have to pay for a defect in my antenna!the manufacturer that made my vehicle should pay for the replacement of the antenna not me!it is not something that i have done to the vehicle.it is a defect in manufacturing! i would like for gm to place a recall for the antenna to be repaired free of charge.again, i work with the gmc dealership and they have had other customers come in with the same complaint!again, i should not have to pay for the replacement of the antenna or file a claim with my warranty company.this is a defect!

A/c won't get cold! one of many problems i have had with this brand new truck that is a year old! tv's have had problems, transmission problems, giving it gas was also a problem! i have just hit 40,000 on the truck and they want to tell me it not under warranty! a/c shouldn't be a problem yet! nothing but problems out this truck! can someone help me? a disappointed truck owner!

When driving at low speed 40mph and under you can barely feel the vibration/shaking but when you get up to highway speed 60-75mph the truck really starts to vibrate/shake if the highway has any turns or curves it shakes/vibrates even more until you start going straight again then it calms down and shakes/vibrates as it always does also if slow down it will shake/vibrate less but never completely stops i took it to my local dealer because i heard these trucks were having problems with the torque converter shutters but was told that the tires need to be balanced witch didn't solve the problem i was then told that it was normal for these trucks witch i didn't believe i even tried a different set of wheels and tires witch did help either it shakes/vibrates so much that i don't want to drive it because you get a headache this has been a on going problem for a year and a half i really started noticing it around 75,000 miles there are a lot of claims of the same problem/symptoms on the web

Ac condenser out after 3 years, blows hot air.

Radiator leak and coolant smell, at 72,000 miles.

Sunroof exploded during a ride on the highway during a rain storm

About a month ago, i began to receive an alert that my side detection system needed to be serviced.upon inspection, my right side module had to be replaced.after completing the repair, the new module would not communicate with the left module which is how the right module gets programmed.it was discovered that even though there was no alert that the left module needed to be replaced as well.this is a huge concern that these modules would fail this soon into the vehicle's life (68,000 miles).there are no moving parts, etc.not to mention the safety issues of not having a working side collision alert system.

When driving between 40-70 miles an hour. I feel a vibration somewhere in the vehicle. The vibration feels like u are rolling over rumble strips.this happens time and time again on the highway, while in motion only.

Ac condenser failure
