The passenger side tail light is intermittent the dealer said that it would cost $875.00 for the part to fix. He said that it was a bad manufacturing job. And he also said that there were a lot of suv's coming in with the same problem.thank you

Drivers and passenger brake light go out intermittently. Passenger stays off for long periods of time.looked into replacing no idea if it will fix the problem. Cost at least $500. Each parts only. I have seen so many other vehicles like mine same problem. Headlights also going out, water inside of cover. Led and turn signal went out on drivers side replaced for a cost of $900.00, (just for the headlight) again no guarantee it will keep working. Also battery went dead replaced battery. New battery also went dead. Car alarm went off the night before battery dead in the morning. Has been in the shop 3 weeks now. Same thing happens alarm goes off kills battery. Shows massive drain and set about 32 codes. The drain doesn't register after that.recharge battery car is not running when this happens. Problem repeats every time after charging the battery. Something in the wiring is shorting out. Tested both batteries they both test good. Afraid of what will happen next with the electrical on the vehicle. Not sure if the lights have anything to do with this or not. When ordering headlight and asking about brakes told by dealer parts they sure are selling a bunch of these.i have had people driving down the road stop me to tell me my brake light is out. I did not know that the turn signal on the front was not working until a car pulled out in front of me while waiting to make a left turn. I got out and looked at the light and it was not working. I cannot drive the vehicle at all because it keeps draining the battery.i have a ase certified master technician working on the vehicle in a reputable shop.

Rear drive side break light is out because of poor construction.

The contact owns a 2015 gmc yukon denali. While the vehicle was stationary, water entered the cabin of the vehicle through the high frequency antenna seal. In addition, the contact stated that the computer system had an electrical malfunction and the vehicle's brakes engaged without warning. Dixie buick gmc in fort myers, florida was made aware of the failure and diagnosed that the high frequency antenna needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 76,000. The vin was not available.

The left brake light failed with 57k miles.the right one then failed at 61k miles.the dealer wanted $735 each to fix them, as they claim they need to replace the entire led housing.the dealer is well-aware that this is a common problem, and it would appear based on googling the issue that many others have experienced this failure from gm.

The contact owns a 2015 gmc yukon denali. The contact stated that the rear passenger side tail light shorted out without warning. The dealer (liberty gmc, 8660 w bell rd, peoria, az 85382, (602) 730-7652) diagnosed that there was a short in the circuit board, which impacted the rear exterior lighting and needed replacement. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was not available.

Drivers side led taillight stopped working and the whole assembly has to be replaced at $800.led's should last life of the vehicle that is why you can't just replace a bulb.i have read hundreds of posts with the same issue.gm should do a recall or offer a steep discount on the replacement.

The rear led tailight goes in and out, while driving the car.the dealer will not fix the problem unless the light is not working, but because it is intermittent, we cannot get it to fail at the dealership.we have had this problem for 2 years and it is a safety issue as the tail light will not work.

The contact owns a 2015 gmc yukon denali. While reversing the vehicle, the contact was informed that the brake lights were not illuminating. However, when the vehicle was in drive, the brake lights illuminated. Also, when the contact depressed the brake pedal to slow or stop the vehicle, the brake lights did not illuminate. The contact called coulter buick gmc phoenix (1202 e camelback rd, phoenix, az 85014, (602) 396-5994) and was informed that there were no recalls. The dealer referred the contact to the manufacturer. The manufacturer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 64,000.

Tail lights sometimes work and most of the time does not work. I see hundreds of complaints about this and nothing is being done about it! this will be my first and last time buying a gmc car. This is very dangerous and a very expensive problem to have!

Ac condenser 2015 yukon denali broken for months, told repeatedly from prime dealership that no condensers available, there is a 40+ person wait for new condensers within a 10 mile radius. It's a full time job to get someone to help us. We bought this car 1 year ago and can't even drive it in this hot weather! sits in our driveway until the temp gets to below 80.

I was recently in an accident at a stoplight.when i arrived at the stoplight something fell out of passenger seat onto floor.i put the truck in park, took off my seatbelt, leaned over to pick up item and put it back on the seat.i then put seatbelt back on and put foot on brake and put the truck into drive.it all happened pretty quickly and can't swear to the specifics but i think the truck may have "jumped" a little when i put the truck into drive and propelled me into the car in front of me at a very low speed.the reason why i believe this happened is that i had previously asked the local gmc dealer service center if there were any recalls or other reports on this type of thing happening because it happens with my truck.i had been experiencing this "engine jumping" upon putting it into drive issue for several months.

The contact owns a 2015 gmc yukon denali. While driving, the check engine warning indicator illuminated and the vehicle started misfiring. The vehicle was taken to lunghamer buick gmc (5825 highland rd, waterford twp, mi 48327, (248) 461-1000) where it was diagnosed that the engine valve lifter number seven failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to lunghamer buick where it was diagnosed that the engine lifter number five failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failures. The approximate failure mileage was 62,000. Consumer replaced all the lifter on the truck.

Passenger side rear tail light/ brake light inoperable.problem occurred at 44,580 miles.

Led brake light works intermittently.

I have been having issues for about a year with the lights working intermittently.as of today, june 12 2019, they are out completely!!!!after going to a local mechanic he said the whole circuit was gone & would have to be replaced!!!i am in between jobs and do not have 2000.00 dollars to fix said problem.i have found several message boards who have all had the same problem with no help what so ever from gmc!!!!!this is ridiculous.when you may thousands of dollars for a suv you expect it to last longer than 88,000!!!this isn't the first problem i have had with this suv.so this needs to become a recall issue and gmc or the part supplier needs to fix this.

My driver's side tail light flickered for about 2 months before finally going out. The other side is now doing the same thing. It has 82,301 miles on it.

Takata recall. Issues with both brake lights going out.

Right tail light isn't working. Just bought the car.

Taillights working intermittent. This is a safety issue. I have google and there over a 100 complaints on car gurus with the same problem. This is a gmc safety problem. These yukon's are expense and i should feel safe while driving it. Taking it to the dealership this morning. I am asking a customer of gmc--- do the right thing and look into this as someone is going to get killed - no taillights could be a life threating safety issue. Gmc do the right thing. Look at all of the complaints with the exact same issue

Rear drive side break light is out because of poor construction.

2015 gmc yukon denali, break light malfunction, driving, parked with no indication when it will work or not. Dealership and gmc service center claimed there were no or very few complaints however i have found hundreds already. They refused to even look at the light stating i can get it replaced for around $775 because they cannot change bulbs on that type of tail light. Dealership told me that this was new feature starting with my year model and since gmc went with encased led lights they no longer can fix them under warranty. This was never disclosed anywhere and gmc does not state that anywhere i could find and will not cover it under factory warranty even though it is obviously a wiring issue since the light does work sometimes. I also had proof with pictures that the tail light does work sometimes but not constantly and the dealer referred me to gmc service center. The gmc service center basically explained the same thing, that they have no record of complaints and those would not be covered because the light is actually broke or out, and that is not covered. They actually suggested i go back to the purchasing dealership which is the one that sent me to them, just got the go around with no action. This is a serious safety issue if the lights stop working suddenly, especially at night because the whole light goes black. Now i cannot get my vehicle registered due to the light and will need to fix or replace a factory issue with the light just to get my vehicle inspected and registered.

The contact owns a 2015 gmc yukon denali. The contact stated that the brake lights failed to illuminate. The brake light was replaced by the contact but failed again a few days later. The vehicle was taken to capitol buick gmc (408-335-7526, 909 capitol expressway auto mall, san jose, ca 95136) and the contact was told that the tail lights and the brake lights needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 45,000.

The tail light failed with no physical damage.i feel this is a latent defect that gm is aware of but will not take responsibility for it.this a sealed unit causing owners to pay exorbitant amounts to replace the unit.there are many reports of this item failing in the field within an unacceptable time period.production date on our unit is apr/24/14, so just over a five year period on a vehicle with less than 80k miles.

Both passenger and drivers side brake lamps, turn signals and running lamps short out and stop working. When vehicle is under warranty, lamps are replaced with new units, that are also faulty and eventually fail, in anywhere from 1 week to 1 year. Gm is well aware of this widespread, nationwide problem, yet refuses to issue a recall, and charges $1500+ the replace the units with new oem, that are still faulty.

The tail lights are faulty. This is the second time i've had an led tail light go out. Sections of the lights come on and off. One tail light assembly has been replaced already. They also get condensation on the interior of the assembly. This appears to be a common theme for a tail lights on gm suv's from 2015-2018. These lights can be purchased for anywhere between $400. To $900 range for just one! they are on a vehicle which has a base price of over $50k and last less than two years! come on!

Brake lights went out on both sides. All other lights in unit are functioning fine. Gmc is requiring me to buy the entire light which is $750 each just to fix the brake light. Both lights went out at the same time. Has to be an issue with the light

The contact owns a 2015 gmc yukon denali. The contact stated that the rear passenger side tail light shorted out without warning. I give!!! now break lights not working!!! right break light is out and left driver is intermittent. Vehicle has 37k on it and was just picked up from the dealer after having 1 of many issues through the past year rectified and now this!this is a significant safety hazard and could tremendously injure someone.right now my car cannot even pass inspection due to the faulty equipment installed by the manufacture that is a danger to my safety.i have owned many gmc's (6 total) through the years and this being the worst!!the latest, i have had the torque converter replaced in aug 18 - due to shuddering and vibration.then the steering column replaced due to popping , back hatch hinge replaced due to popping and malfunction, back glass door rubber gasket replaced due to leaking, sharkfin antenna replaced due to leaking, sunroof gasket replaced due to leaking, new tires at 500 miles due to excessive vibration. Back door adjusted due to slamming, and additional slight issues.the radio has a constant glitch on the screen since day one that after being taken in numerous times, of course the dealer cannot replicate the problem and keeps performing a flash update which never helps and as soon as i drive off it glitches again.i have contacted gm regarding the brake lights, radio, and now my passenger step is malfunctioning not to mention a recall was just released on the power steering.will the repairs ever end?guess once i trade it in on another manufacture as this will most likely be the last gmc i will ever purchase!!i do not have time to live my life at the dealer for a high end purchase that is the worst mistake ever!!not to mention being a safety hazard!!!

The passenger side tail light is intermittent the dealer said that it would cost $875.00 for the part to fix. He said that it was a bad manufacturing job. And he also said that there were a lot of suv's coming in with the same problem.thank you

Passenger side rear brake light and tail light stopped working.this cannot be fixed with a simple bulb.this is an integrated led requiring the entire tail light assembly to be replaced at the owners expense.dealer estimate was $800 after installing.

Tail light circuit (led internal to housing) cracks, causing rail/brake light outage with no warnings on the dash for the driver.this is a material defect in the metal stamping used for the led power circuit.exacerbated by heat and vibration.

Led tail light and brake light stopped working at approx. 50,000 miles.

Rear led brake lights only work intermittently.

Faulty back tail lights.the entire assembly fails with the back brake lights being outdue to faulty soldiering and part.major safety hazard.gm will not replace.

The rear driver side taillight does not work. Took it to the dealership and they said it was a problem they saw frequently, to just hit the light and it might start working. Otherwise it was a 800 dollar light to replace....if it is a frequent problem gmc should be fixing it... Are they going to pay for a ticket if i get pulled over or worse someone crashes into me? the problem comes and goes but has seemed to get worse and is not safe or legal to drive with the light how it is. Bad design of the light. And from what i have seen online i am not the only one. There a whole forums that people have the same issue.

Rear led tail lights stop working due to cracked bridge on circuit board of light assembly.....non serviceable new tail light is $600-$700. Possible collision hazard!

Headlights do not illuminate the road far enough to allow safe driving.took vehicle to local dealer and they checked the lights and said they meet manufactures specification.when driving on country road with no other illumination the headlights do not project far enough to see what is ahead.driving at posted speeds 55 to 60 mph cannot see what is coming up.have to use high beam in order to see far enough to be safe.did an online search and found that this is a common complaint for this model year.

Rear black lights fail... Known issue... Only fix is $750... Gmc knows it is an issue and hasn't done a recall... Most cars your tail light goes out $10 to fix... Gmc $750

Brake/tail lights have gone out. My car isn't even 5 years old. The repair is astronomical'at least $1500!!!

Brake lights working inconsistently,

Brake lights have failed. I appears to be due to a faulty solider on the led assembly. Both brake lights have now failed. The fault is constant and has no relationship to status of the operation of the vehicle or road conditions. Consumer can not repair the fault due to the design of the tail light assembly. The vehicle owner and other drivers are being endangered by this issue that is obviously a quality issue with the product.

My right rear taillight stopped working, including the brake light.i took it to the dealership and was told it is a burned out taillight and has to be replaced.the cost was $800.i was under the impression that these taillights are led and last forever.in reading online, it looks like this is an ongoing problem with these gmc/chevy taillights where the circuit board breaks and the light stops working.

We purchased a used 2015 yukon denali less than 6 months ago and both tail lights have now gone out. After reading about the issue, it seems like this is a very common issue with lights on this vehicle. Very unfortunate that gmc refuses to do anything about it.

The contact owns a 2015 gmc yukon denali. The contact stated that the brake and tail lights failed to illuminate sporadically. The vehicle was taken to weld county garage buick gmc (2699 47th ave, greeley, co 80634, (970) 352-1313) where it was diagnosed that the brake lights needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 83,081.

The passenger side brake/tail lights intermittently do not work.they work about 60 percent of the time and the other 40 percent they do not.i have read many complaints online about this issue and gm needs to step up and get it fixed.it is a safety issue.

Rear tail light not working

Driver's side led brake lights intermittently working, then completely failed.

Rear led (break light) does not work turn signal, backup works. Cost is over $500 to replace this is outrageous extended warranty does not cover light bulbs now i know why this should be a factory defect.

Vehicle clunks or hard shift while shifting vehicle from park to drive, or park to reverse. Happens every morning or while transmission has cooled down. Dealer indicates there's no fix for this condition, not even a update to transmission software.

When shifting into gear from a child start, the vehicle takes approximately 3 seconds to shift.during that time the vehicle is not in gear and can roll in any direction. There is a software fix for this that i must pay the dealer to install.this happens every cold start.

Vehicle drive train operates erratically in various operating situations and has extensive vibrations between 25-40mph; vibrations are worse in certain gears. Significant lungeing and jerking of shifting gears on acceleration, particularly when not accelerating intensely. Vehicle makes a clunk/knock sound when decelerating rapedly. Taken in for service 2x at 2 different gmc dealers. Transmission has been reprogrammed 1x. Nither dealer provided gmc technical service bulletin "#99-04-20-002i: information on drive train clunk noise - (nov 18, 2014)" after my vehicle was taken on an unautherized 30 mile 'test drive' i was told 'it's normal operation' and "customer concern not duplicated at this time". Simply find this hard to believe as the operations as described are being acknowledged by a gmc bulletin. This is serious: (1) the sudden jerking/slamming of gears will have a long term effect on the transmission (2) the acceleration on downshifting is a huge liability as the increased possibility of collision is significant and (3) diffinetly not 'normal' operation.

In motion vehicle shutters, clunking in between gears, clunks going into reverse, shutters between 30-40 mph and over 65 mph. Bought vehicle brand new off show room floor, vehicle was out of alignment when i purchased it. Around 12,000 miles noticed it was shuttering and as time has continued it has progressively gotten worse. At 17,000 miles 11/16 torque convertor went out and was replaced. 1/17 back in shop now with same problems but much worse.

Brake lights are failing intermittently.dealer has recommended replacing both tail light housing assemblies at a significant cost of $750 each.dealer has also stated this is a "common problem" of the 2015 gmc vehicles with an led brake light design; no easy or affordable solution out there.

Rear led brake lights only work intermittently.

2015 yukon denali. Consumer writes in regards to electric power steering safety recall. *ldthe consumer stated the vehicle had multiple failures the dealer was supposed to repair, but did not and charged the consumer anyway. The consumer sold the vehicle, but requested to not have to pay the repair bill for the vehicle.

The contact owns 2015 gmc yukon denali. The contact stated that the vehicle had an aggressive shake at 40 to 60 mph as well as at 70 mph. The dealer charles boyd chevrolet cadillac buick gmc (250 ruin creek rd, henderson, nc 27536, 1-(252) 654-4593) had been notified of the failure several times but had been unable to duplicate and diagnose the failure so the contact was uncertain if the vehicle may be repaired. In addition, the vehicle was serviced for nhtsa campaign number: 18v586000 (steering); however the remedy for the recall provided no specific solution to prevent the failure that the vehicle was exhibiting as well concerning the steering and suspension. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was waiting to determine if they may be able to provide a permanent remedy. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 45,000.

Was driving about 7-10 mph in a wal mart parking lot when the steering on my 2015 gmc yukon denali completely gave out which caused me to scrap a pole on the back door behind driver. Finally when vehicle came to a complete stop the steering wheel would freely spin and not in gauge the tires to rotate.had the vehicle towed to the nearest gmc dear ship to have them asses the problem and told them this has to be from the root cause of a recall that a sensor will lose temp connection with steering and may cause an accident. Which did as well as injury to my wife who was driving. Now the vehicle is at the gmc dealership giving me a run a round that the steering column magically snapped and needs to be covered through extendedwarranty. I have an open complaint with the dealership as well as gmc it self. Please if you own this year vehicle be very careful this could have been a really horrible situation.

Front right and left rear shock have leak fluid causing the vehicle handling to be come erratic when driving over road imperfections. 2015 with z95 magnetic ride suspension has approximately 60k miles.

Purchase a used 2015 yukon denali 1 year ago and have had issues with both shocks and ac. The shocks are the air ride and all 4 had to be replaced. This was a huge expense because my truck surpassed the mileage even though it was within the date range. My ac also resently stopped working. I received a letter from gm 1day after ac went out notifying me about a know issue with a leaking compressor. I took it to the dealership the next day and thought it would be covered to replace. I then found out that since it was over mileage it wasn't under warranty. I questioned what mileage ad to do with aknow defectivecompressor but was told they could not do anything. The cost to replace it was quoted at $1,200.

I have spent over $2000 on a less than 2 year old vehicle because the shocks/struts did not hold up.i know of 4 other people within my small community who have had this same problem on either gmc yukon or chevy tahoe.it feel certain this is no coincidence.

Driver side rear brake lights work intermittently.

Our 2015 yukon denalihas 38,200 miles on it and the air conditioning blows hot air. Was told may or may not be covered by warranty. May cost over $1,000 to repair. Told it may would be a 6 hour repair. Cannot believe we are having this issue like so many other people on a $75,000 vehicle.should have been a recall issued.

Ac condensor is bad part on indeffinate backorder no eta from gm thry have had my vehicle for over a month

Air conditioning failure, condenser defective.repair impossible because part has been on backorder for over a month.

Air conditioning condenser has a leak, parts backordered for months, no eta on the return; going into hottest time of the year without a/c in my vehicle.

Air conditioner failure. Condenser failure suspected. Failure at 56,000 miles.

Air conditioner condenserfailure while on vacation causing very hot conditions for my family. Condenser on back order for four weeks making driving the vehicle difficult to and from place of work. Dealership has five more condensers to replace after mine was replaced this past friday may 26th, 2017. Called another dealership to see if possible to get a condenser quicker and the wait was five vehicles ahead of me. This is a large problem in 2015 and 2016 yukon's, escalade's, and tahoe's. I want this to be a warrenty extension for all owners.

A strong vibration or "shudder" resonates throughout the body of the entire cabin. Feels like you are driving over large rumble strips, even when the road is completely smooth. Appears to occur at speeds greater than 30 miles per hour and when the rpms exceed 1,000 rpm. The rpm needle "jumps" repeatedly while the vibration/shudder occurs. When we took it to the local gmc dealer, they told us it we needed a new wheel for which we bought and it accomplished nothing. Then, we returned it, described the problem in excruciating detail - even referencing known public service bulletins - which prompted them to "balance the tires." left the gmc dealership again and it was obvious the dealership did not address the problem and that it had nothing to do with the wheels. We returned and advised them they did not fix the problem. The kept the denali again and then advised us they were "100% sure" the problem was the "shocks". They replaced the shocks for nearly $2,000 and advised us by phone the problem was "fixed." i asked the representative if they had confirmed it was fixed and he said "yes", the technician had driven the vehicle and there were no further issues. Minutes later, i got a call from the service manager who advised the customer service representatives call to me was "premature" (i guess he finally decided to drive the vehicle) and advised there was a problem with the torque converter and that he needed to keep it for a few more days. I asked why he they had told me they were "100% sure" the problem was the shocks and he advised he drove it and they "seized" up. We are still awaiting some resolution to this $75,000 new vehicle disaster. This is the first american vehicle we have purchased and are certainly regretting that decision and are currently researching other full-size suvs for better safety and reliability.

Vibration though car at high speeds since car is new. Dealer replaced one tire and that cured problem for a short period. Have returned vehicle to dealer several times for the recurring problem and ithas not been addressed correctly received recall letter from continental tire due to vibration issues.my vehicle is not equipped with tires containing date code affected by the recall. The make, model, and size of tires does match recall. I believe there is a larger issue covering a much larger period of time of tire manufacture and my car should be included in recall. For the most part have stopped driving the car for fear of a tire blowing out or damaging the vehicle.
