Takata inflators has been recalled on my vehicle and i can not find a replacement.

Takata air bag recall no fix for it can't sell it cause of problem

Takata recall.i received a notice and called the gmc dealership in monroeville pa and they stated that gmc has not released a fix as of 11/1/2017.nothing at this time has happened with the vehicle.

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2007 gmc yukon denali. The contact stated that the recall notice for nhtsa campaign number: 16v381000 (air bags) was received in may of 2017. After contacting the dealer (classic buick/gmc of carrolton, 2700 north i-35, carrolton, tx 75007), the contact was informed that the parts needed to remedy the defect were not available. The manufacturer was notified. The contact had not experienced a failure. Vin tool confirms parts not available.

Recall has been issued 2 years ago without any remedy.called gm and still no time frame as to when they'll have the parts.

Takata recall with no remedy

Dash cracking in multiple places, one impacting passenger side dash airbag cover.concern over safety if airbag wasto deploy or of sharp plastic dash shards hitting a vehicle occupant. Dash is unsightly and vibration of cracked area is annoying.was told it is poor material quality and poor fit that are root of these dashes cracking. Vehicle is always garaged and this happened over time.the cracks are spreading.

Multiple cracks along the dash where the airbags are located

The dash is cracked and broken in multiple places on both sides of the dash. Most concerning is the crack next to the airbag panel. If the airbag were to deploy, will it still work, and what will happen to the dash when it explodes out. The crack was first noticed last fall and just gotten worse since then.

My dash is cracked in a couple places - behind the steering wheel, as well as next to the passenger air bag. My biggest concern is if the airbag goes off that dash will explode and hurt someone with sharp dash pieces. I noticed this a couple years ago. I took it in to have it looked at, but found out there was no coverage and it would be at least $1000 repair. I am disappointed to see how many people are having this issue, and gmc isn't doing anything about it.i have had several gmc's and have always been a proud owner. I hope they intend to do right by their customers that paid a lot of money for their vehicles.

Takata recall. I have contacted my local gmc dealer and they advise there is no remedy at this time. It has been over a year and no remedy. Airbags have been known to deploy by itself.

There is an open recall for my vehicle since may 27 2016 for airbags which could cause serious or fatal injuries. It is now october 29 2017 & it still is not fixed. The recall is still incomplete. This is a serious issue & i want my vehicle fixed.nhtsa recall number: 16v383manufacturer recall number: 2049152

General motors sent me a recall letter with a recall # of 49151 back in july of 2016. This addressed a defective takata airbag which could deploy and kill myself or a family memberor cause terrible injuries to anyone in close proximity of the defective airbags. I have called general motors approx. (6) times and i have not received any satisfactory results that would resolve the airbag problem or to repair the defective airbag. There has been a period of two (2) years and eight (8) months of time that has expired with no repairs or resolves of the problem. This lack of caring and failure to act is putting myself as well as my entire family at jeopardy of death or debilitating injury due to a defective takata airbag. I urge those in a position of authority to act quickly and decisively to correct this problem as soon as possible...'''''''...

Driving down roadway and hit pothole. Suddenly all curtain airbags deployed. Checked exterior of vehicle for damage but could not see any visible damage. Speed was estimated 50 mph. ---- seatbelts locked, electrical, interior lights and rear tailgate experienced issues after incident.

Crack at back of dashboard where it meets passenger air bag

I bought a 2016 yukon denali on 8/8/2017.i was notified on august 9, 2016 that my 2007 yukon denali was included in the takata airbag recall.gmc did not notify me about the recall in a timely manner.i would not have purchased the 2016 vehicle. Gmc has not fixed the 2007.i cannot sell it.

I first noticed a crack on the dash up by the passenger air bag area. Now it has cracked all on top where the speedometer and gas and temperature panel is. I'm a person that takes great care of my vehicle and am worried that this can create a much bigger problem like failure in the readings on the instrument panel or even in an event of an accident that if i have a passenger the air bag will not deploy. I hope that i may get some help with this. I would understand if i had been in an accident ,these things happen. But thank god i have not and so this is of some concern.

The front dash has cracked around the passenger side airbag, as well as around the speaker and over the steering column.the cracks initially started as small cracks a few years ago, but have drastically worsened over this past year and i now believe it is a safety hazard, especially if the passenger side airbag were to deploy.it's so bad that if it gets any worse the whole section between the speaker and passenger side airbag may break off.

"takata recall' have called hendricks gmc dealership in durham, north carolina numerous times since recall in may 2016. They always say they have no airbags in stock. Would like to get this repaired.

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2007 gmc yukon denali. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 16v381000 (air bags). Moore automotive group (2255 marietta hwy, canton, ga 30114, (470) 615-1485) was unable to determine when the part would be supplied from the manufacturer. A loaner vehicle was not offered. The manufacturer was contacted 4 times. The contact had not experienced a failure. Vin tool confirms parts not available. *pm

Takata recallstarted vehicle on 2-1-19 and after turning ignition on passenger air bag exploded out and the side panels followed. Vehicle was in park and had not been driven in a few days. It all happened extremely fast but i saw glovebox burst open and sparks fly out and the airbag sounded like an explosion! scared to death! i jumped out unsure what was going on and the side panel bag grazed my face! could have ended badly if happened while driving.

04/27/18fri morning driving home i hit a median with driver front tire, inwhich all my airbags deployed imediatly including side airbags and caused such a sudden panic distraction that i swerved and flipped my vehicle. I was pulled from the wreck luckily and taken by ambulance to the hospitol. My truck was completelytotalled. My vehicle was in motion the entire time until it stopped rolling leaving the final position upside down. There was no reason these air bags should have deployed and they caused me to nearly lose my life. Normally jus a tire would blow in such a hit from tire. The first ones to deploy were all four window airbags then soon as i flipped the others went off and i was knocked unconscious. I was not awarethere was a recall inplace and just recently bought this truck in jan. 2018.

My 2007 yukon xl denali dashboard crackd in three different places. At the airbag, left side top of dash at instrament cluster and in the middle top. The vehicle was still under warrantee but gm and the dealer refused to make the repair. On two different occasions i filed a complaint with gm and the dealer but was refused in 2010, 2012 and 2014. I am concered that f the passenger airbag deploys the dash debris with damage me and my family as it did on my sisters gm vehicle.

My 2007 yukon denali dash has cracked in 2 places. It is clearly a manufacturers defect due to thousands of other yukons experiencing the exact same problems, but the dealer refuses to fix it. I am concerned that if the air bags were to deploy, there might be sharp pieces of flying plastic debris originating from the cracked areas. Yes, the cracks are annoying, but i am concerned for the safety of the driver or any passengers in the vehicle due to the structural instability of the dash.

Takata recall airbags did not deploy in crash side impact deployed front did not

While following another vehicle on an on ramp from one hwy to another, the vehicle in front of me drove directly over something laying in the road (straddling the debris with it's tires). This caught me off guard and i made a quick swerve/evasive action to miss running over whatever it was laying in the road. All of my side airbags deployed. Needless to say, it scared the heck out of me and i didn't even realize what happened for another 1/4 mile or so. I called gm to complain and they had a so-called independent inspector come out and look at my vehicle (at the time it was at a dealership). I received a report back saying the computer sensed a potential rollover. Never was there a potential rollover. I just swerved to miss something in the road. There was no damage otherwise. Gm left it at that. No other investigation was done. After two years, i have yet to have repairs made, because it still irks me to pay for something that should have never happened.

Takata recalli am very concerned because my vehicle is over 10 years old and i live in georgia where it is hot and humid.i have been unable to get replacement airbags because the company is not providing them at no cost.i would like to have it done at my local gmc carl black dealership (888) 491-7859 as soon as possible.my son just had a front end accident with it and thank goodness the airbags didn't deploy.

The recall was issues a year and a half ago and no remedy is available from gmc.how long do we have to drive with defective airbags before the recall is taken care of by gm?

Takata inflators it's in our 2018 almost 2019 and nothing has been done yet. When is this going to be fixed? do people have to die before anything is done?

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2007 gmc yukon denali. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 16v383000 (air bags) and stated that the part was not available within a reasonable time frame to schedule the recall repair. The dealer did not give a specific date for when the part would become available. The manufacturer could not provide an estimated date for when the contact's vehicle would receive the recall repair. The contact was not experiencing a failure. Vin tool confirms parts not available.

My dash is cracked right at the front airbag and on the driver side. I am afraid if the airbag was to deploy, the dash would break into pieces.

My dashboard has two crack in it. One at the corner of the airbag and the other above instrument panel. It keeps getting longer and longer. This is now a feared safety concern of the airbag deployment. A small crack formed literally out of the middle of nowhere on the airbag side and then about 2 months later on the odometer side. Now when i drive down the road the dash section between the two cracks bounces around and clicks against the stationary piece of dash.

Takata recall .... My yukon denali dash has very bad cracks from the passenger airbag to the speedometer area.these cracks run completely through the dash material, and are "banging" whenever the vehicle goes over a bump.i am very concerned that this bumping and rattling around could set off the passenger air bag, which would send shrapnel throughout the cabin.since the passenger air bag has the takatainflator, it is more concerning.i have called the dealer several times about this, but they continue to say they can not do anything.since the vehicle has been in miami, florida since it was purchased, with very high humidity, i would think this would be a priority fix!!

Takata recall- still no one has called us that airbags are available to be replaced in our vehicle.everytime i call i get someone else saying the recall has not been settled yet.still have not had airbags replaced.

The contact owns a 2007 gmc yukon denali. The contact noticed that the dashboard was cracking through the passenger side air bag. Due to the failure, the contact was concerned that the air bags might deploy. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 165,000.

Front passenger air bag sensor js malfunctioning. It shows air bag service needed no impact was made there. Dealership says it's a malfunction. One day i go to start my car and the light showed it needs service.

I own a 2007 yukon denali and have had the dash crack by the passenger air bag and by the drivers consolei went to gmc and they sat so sorry nothing we can do as i stated to them it will affect my air bag going off they didn't seem to care

I own an 07 yukon denali and the dashboard has four seperate cracks in them. Two of them are on the driver side, one is on the passenger side near the airbag and the other is directly in the middle- this is a safetyproblem. I was given a quote of over $1500 to replace it. I had to place a small piece of paper between the cracks just to avoid the obnoxious and annoying rattle that it makes while driving, this vehicle is parked in a garage most of the time and is rarely driven- only 65,000 miles- there is no doubt that these cracks could damage or inhibit the proper deployment of airbags- this is a safety issue!-gm will not do anything but deny and blame the customer- this is a manufacturing issue not a customer use issue-step up and do you job and protect the consumer!p.s. I can only upload 1 picture but i have 3 that i have taken to show extent of damage.

The chrome is also peeling on my door handles.summer of 2015, i replaced the inside drivers door handle due to a broken bolt. Lastly my airbag light has been on with no diagnoses (~3 months).

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2007 gmc yukon denali. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 16v383000 (air bags); however, the part for the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that the air bag warning indicator was illuminated. The approximate failure mileage was 81,000. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. Vin tool confirms parts not available.

When we purchased the vehicle approx. 3.5 years ago, it had a small crack in the dashboard. Last december, it was noticed that the crack had gotten much bigger, and now a second crack has been noted. This is becoming a major safety concern, as the dash may shatter in a front-end collision with airbag deployment. Upon doing research on;ine, i found that i am not alone. There are thousands of reports of similar issues among similar years and models. Please help me keep my family safe by requiring gm to provide a fix or replacement. Thank you!

Wiring to rear window defroster became detached at soldering connection. Was told entire rear window had to be replaced. Yukon was still in warranty.

Traveling on i-75 northbound from chattanooga to knoxville, the speedometer goes to zero, car reduces speed almost to a halt.off to the ramp at really slow speed.check engine light comes on, and soon after the traction control light.computer indicates:service stabilitrac- service traction control - power assist off - transmission fluid hot, idle engine.removed the battery cable for 5 mins.car restarts but all the lights and messages still on.returned home (about 35 miles) with engine revving around 3500 and speed at about 50 mph.engine temp and oil pressure indicators ok. This was scary with 2 kids in the car!taking it to garage tomorrow.

My driver's side electric control panel stopped working abruptly.one morning, i got into my car and immediately noticed a burning smell. I turned the car on and tried to open the window.i was unable to open either the driver's side window or the passenger's side window.additionally, i was unable to lower the back passenger window and the power door opener was not working on the driver's side. I called my local gmc dealer and they examined the car.they told me that water got into the casing in the electrical switch control panel causing an electrical short. They also stated that this was a problem with nissan suvs and isuzu suvs and was the subject of a re-call.however, since my suv is a yukon denali, it is not eligible to be fixed under the re-call.they took the control panel apart and showed me a small white plug inside the control panel that was burned, brown and melted on the end. They disconnected this plug and told me that it was too dangerous to operate the car with it plugged in. I told them that i do not understand why they would not repair this obvious safety hazard simply because it did not occur on an isuzu or a nissan.they told me that, in fact, the yukon denali is similar to the recalled nissan models but they cannot fix the electrical short unless it is a specific subject of a re-call.

Car alternator failure affecting driveability. Loss of power, steering, brake, door locking system, engine shut off. Car needed to be towed and the cost of repair was $ 550.05 diagnose was replace alternator and belt.

Car suffered steering failure, brake power, control and finally when stopped failure to crank. Car was again towed to dealership. Work done on car was replace lh motor mount, fuse and repair wiring to map sensor as well as replacing maxi fuse. The cost of this repair was $379.65 not including towing.while this worked for a week without incident we were returning home on 95 highway it suffered loss of control for steering, very hard braking as well as engine shut off going 75 mph.

The contact owns a 2007 gmc yukon denali.when the contact activated the air conditioning, he smelled a strange odor.he turned off the air conditioning and the engine and exited the vehicle.five minutes later, the vehicle was in flames.the fire department extinguished the fire and filed a report.there were no injuries.the insurance company has not yet investigated the cause of the fire.the fire department stated that it could have been an electrical fire.the failure mileage was 28,000.

Sterring wheel heater became very hot then blew fuse. I was driving the vehicle though i had only gone a few miles from my home. I was on a city street going about 40 miles per hour but not turning sharply. I have nothing to photo.

Instrument panel is going out, one instrument at a time.first showing low oil pressure, stabilitrak warning, check engine, now it is the rpm gauge that isn't showing anything.also have a huge crack in the top of the dashboard that's been there for about 5-6 years.i've seen online complaints off this issue.

I had just left the free way went onto a 2 lain road we were driving about 50 mpr then we lost engine power, all the dash lights came on ,we pulled overthe car killed, didn't know what to do ,so we waited a bout 8 minutes then turned the key, the car started and we went on our way,a few minutes later it did the same thing, it did it 2 more times, took it to the shop was told it was a gas tank sensor ,$500.00 stoat at the shop, and the car still has the problem, what happens if the engine reduces power while do 65 mprdown the free way, ? i think we have a big safety concern here, and gm needs to know, if they don't all ready know...

I have just read a few other complaints about an issue i am having now, and have had 3 times in the past. While under normal driving conditions, i have had my suv become very sluggish and difficult to drive. Lights come on say loss of power, stabilitrac problem etc. The first time this happened, i was visiting orlando florida. I took the suv to a dealer, and they said there was an issue with the ecm and reprogrammed it. I left back the next day for atlanta. Nearly 80 miles away in ocala florida, it started doing this again. I called a tow truck, and had it taken to an ocala dealership. They in turn told me it was a bad ecm, and after spending an entire day in ocala, i was back on my way to atlanta. Several months later, i had this occur again. Once again i had it taken to a dealership in atlanta. They ran a computer diagnosis on it, and said they had no idea why it was diagnosed as an ecm problem, as the code coming up was due to a problem with the sensor in the floor board that reads the distanceof the gas pedal from the floor board. As it is a drive by sensor vs drive by wire. They repaired this, and although i felt it should have been covered under warranty, even though i was out of warranty at the time, the firsttwo incidents that were supposedly diagnosed wrong were done so while under warranty. They ended up cutting the costs in half. I had no choice, as i needed my vehicle back. Now it has occurred the forth time. I have resorted to the internet to see if other are having the same problem. What i'm finding through this research, it sounds as if many have had the same issue, and it seems to be an issue with the throttle body. While researching, i was alerted to this site, thus the reason i'm posting here. Maybe something can be done about this issue, as it seems this happens quite often, and gmc is keeping it under wraps.

This has now happened several times since, at no particular speed.i will be driving and all of a sudden the stabilitrak lights and traction control lights come on, and the engine begins to run very hard and will not accelerate very quickly and cannot reach full capacity.this is somewhat scary as it has happened on the highway several times, as well as just driving around my residential area, always with my kids in the car.usually once i turn the car off and leave it for a little bit, then restart it, the lights are off except the engine light will stay on.it seems to me that many people are having the same issue with this model and that gmc should be taking this safety concern very seriously as not being able to accelerate on the freeway is definitely a huge safety issue.

Having alot of issues with traction control light coming on and off causing my truck to either shut off/stall or just not turn on than the check engine came on arggg.i took to dealers was told its my throttle sensor got it replaced $$750.00 ughh then it happened again and then when i try and turn it on again it will flash traction light on and off so i turn it off then turn it on and it goes away, later comes on then off random timesi checked this site since i seen news and seen other people having the same issue.and my cruise control wont kick in also my front dash has cracked on top of the odometer and it does make me worry if i ever get into an accident will the dash shatter completely?? other then that i love this truck really i do !!howeverdear gm stop being stingy and pay for your mistakes!

Car was left idol for two days.upon start up ignition switch failed.part replaced by owner but it still wouldn't start.denali was towed to the dealership for repair of ignition switch assembly and started fine.

The contact owns a 2007 gmc yukon denali. The contact stated that the passenger side of the dashboard was fractured around the front passenger air bag. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the dashboard needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 81,000. The vin was unavailable.

I was traveling on the freeway at about 70 mph coming from a supervision training class along with a co-worker and the following sensor lights started appearing on my dashboard:traction control off, stabilitrak off.this has continued to happen on a regular basis.i have taken it to the gm service at least twice and private repair facilities numerous times and the situation continues.it is now 01-28-2014 and the situation continues and is getting worse.alone with the above issues now the "reduce engine power" light comes on and the engine shuts down.it has become very dangerous to drive this vehicle and no repair facility, gm or otherwise, knows how to fix the problem.i have to drive so this vehicle is what i drive but, it is dangerous and gm needs to fix it or recall for this issue.i need answers quickly i fear this issue is dangerous for all concerned especially when this happens on a freeway!!

Several issues with vehicle. Throttle body, computer electrical system, transmission fluid and coolant leak. Door hinges rusted and hard to open doors. Chrome rims pitting and peeling. Steering column replaced. Tailgate rattles. Vehicle only has 37k miles.

I was driving down the highway going about 65 mph & then a message appeared on my dash that states check stabilitrak/traction control off. I then braked to pull over & the truck began to shake as if the suspension & brakes were being affected. While i was driving this error message would appear & then go off & continued to do this for 3-4 hours while i was driving.

As i was driving 'oil pressure is low, cut the engine off' warning came on and the oil light was on. That also triggered the traction control/stabilitrak light to come on. From then on whenever i drive the vehicle those lights come on aswell as the check engine light. This is apparently a common problem with the gmc 2007 engine. There are multiple forms from chevy, cadillac, and gmc where consumers that have these engines are experiencing this problem. When we take it to dealerships we are told to change the engine. I was just quoted over $8000 to change this engine. I can't even sell this truck without losing my shirt. We need help out here. Gm knows that this is a problem because the dealerships know. They are sweeping this under the rug until some people die because of it!

The contact owns a 2007 yukon denali. The contact stated that the stability trak warning light illuminated as the vehicle began to lose power. The engine power reduced warning message was also displayed. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and the throttle sensor was replaced but to no avail. The dealer then replaced the brake lamp, but that also did not remedy the failure. The dealer also replaced the throttle body but that also did not correct the failure. The failure mileage was 126,000 and the current mileage was 128,000. Updated 04/02/13*lj

Front left exhaust manifold bolt head broke off. When the engine is cold upon startup exhaustgasesescape near a water temperature sensor. Which could make the engine light come on and not passinspection or cause a fire.

Chrome has been peeling off driver side door handle. Cuts my skin.one day i was driving on a 4 lane highway going approx 55 mph. I ended up hydro planning my denali makes a 180 and i'm facing oncoming traffic. I hit the gas to get to the emergency lane but my engine turned off. Is this normal?

On july 26, 2013i was in my 2007 gmc yukon denali when i had an issue. I was in my car, the engine was running but it was in park. I was idling for about 5 minutes when i received a "engine power reduced", followed by the check engine light. I immediately shut the car off and gave it about 20 minutes before i turned the car back on again. The check engine light was still on with the "engine power reduced", followed by "service stabilitrac", "stabilitrac off", service traction control", "traction control off", and "power assist off". I immediately called the local gmc dealership and they told me to try to bring the car into the dealership to see what they could do. After i brought my car to the service department i was told that the sensor behind the gas pedal needed to be replaced. They replaced the part for roughly about $300 and the check engine light went away with all of the messages. Since the repair i drove the car for about 60 miles and the check engine light did not come on again, and the car seems to be fixed. Please look into this matter since there are quite a few of us with this same issue.

The contact owns a 2007 gmc yukon denali. The contact stated that the motor mount was fractured. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 120,000. The vin was not available.

I was driving my vehicle. The traction control light came on, and the check engine light came on right after. The truck then began to idle strange like it was going to stall. I drove it home while talking to my husband he stated since i just filled up the tank maybe it was bad gas. I drove it home which was about 5 miles down the road. As soon as i pulled into the driveway , the service brake system came up on the dash and the my truck started making this horrible clicking. I later found out the motor is gone and threw a rod. I think its pretty odd that all these people are having issues with the traction control light coming on then the engine acts up. This is a problem gmc needs to fix, they don't feel its their problem to deal with.

When driving down the road the engine light in my denali comes on and engine power is reduced to a slow speed where i have to pull over and shut the vehicle off.after doing so for 5 minutes or more, i cut my vehicle back on and it will drive normally with engine light still on.it has done this numerous times, sometimes 5+ times in one day.i have tried taking it and getting it fixed but no gm dealer can figure out the issue.this is unsafe especially when i am driving much less with my family in the car with me.please help me get this issue fixed gm doesn't seem to want to fix their issue.

Several issues with vehicle. Throttle body, computer electrical system, transmission fluid and coolant leak. Door hinges rusted and hard to open doors. Chrome rims pitting and peeling. Steering column replaced. Tailgate rattles. Vehicle only has 37k miles.

Daytime running lights and low-beam running lights suddenly became inoperable on 1/15/17 (est. ~150k miles).this was noticed during the day, so safety risk was minimized, but the vehicle is now inoperable during the evening (although high beams are still functional, as well as park/blinkers).http://m.gm.oemdtc.com/recall/rcsb-15v519-4439.pdfthere is a may 2016 gm issued recall affecting similar vehicles with years 2005-2009, but gm said my vehicle is not currently on the list.i requested information to evaluate my vehicle time for addition to the recall and they initiated a vehicle complaint # 8-2672247033 on their end.they also pointed me to this website to file with nhsp, so that i could file this notice to better determine if this recall should be expanded to other gmc models within 2005-2009.i need to verify if the pn# for my headlamp driver module (hdm) is also [13506836].p.s.

The contact owns a 2007 gmc yukon denali. While driving approximately 35 mph, the contact noticed the fuel gauge displayed an inaccurate full capacity level when the full tank was actually empty. The incorrect fuel gauge reading occurred whenever the vehicle was in motion. The vehicle was neither diagnosed nor repaired for the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 1,000.

I took my daughter to volleyball practice and when i stopped at a red light the car was accelerating even though i had my foot on the brake pedal and it moved on a jumping mode to the front. I got so scared. The car moved forward we could have been involved on an accident on an intersection or hit the car in front of us. As that happened i noticed in dashboard the rmp counter was moving up as if it was were accelerating. It was pretty scary my kids and i don't feel safe to ride on the only car we own. I had a mechanic tell me i should take it to the dealer because it's a safety hazard. That it seem to him as a throttle system failure and it was very dangerous. When i turn vehicle on it happens too.

Interior door handles with chrome treatment begins to peel and peeling chrome is very sharp resulting in some serious cuts to fingers and hands. Poor chroming process resulting in product failure. Dealerships difficult to deal with on the issue. No official gm warranty service bulletin as of yet. Handles need to be replaced.

I have replaced 3 outside door handles on my 2007 yukon denali due to breakage. Drivers side and rear driverside passenger within the past three weeks. The first one broke a couple of years ago and replaced under warranty. The two others were replaced at my expense. Besides the expense, $200 each event, the inconvenience of taking time out of my schedule to have them replaced is frustrating.

Several issues with vehicle. Throttle body, computer electrical system, transmission fluid and coolant leak. Door hinges rusted and hard to open doors. Chrome rims pitting and peeling. Steering column replaced. Tailgate rattles. Vehicle only has 37k miles.

I currently own a 2007 gmc yukon denali and have two failures to report, first, the interior door handle on the drivers side which is chrome is starting to flake off and has several sharp edges causing several cuts to myself and my wives hands. Second, the exterior drivers side and rear passenger side door handles have broken off denying entry to my vehicle.

2007 denali with 22,000 miles had a liftgate failure.after a $78.00 diagnosis at local dealer the repair estimate was $450.00.according to gm customer service personnel the repair is not under warranty, and further more because we purchased it used it won't be eligible for any assistance from gm either.while evaluating problem i noticed there is no egress possible from inside while problem exists.this seems like a very dangerous condition because an emergency that disables typical egress through doors would leave the rear liftgate as only choice to escape from fire or water for instance.

Inside passenger door handle chrome pealing. Both wife and i have cut our hands. Also outside drivers side and rear drivers side chrome door handles have both broke off the vehicle.

The contact owns a 2007 yukon denali. The contact stated that the rear drivers side door handle became fractured. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, who diagnosed that the rear drivers side door handle needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact owns a 2007 gmc yukon denali. The contact stated that the chrome plating on all the interior door handles were peeling causing the contact to sustain minor cuts on the hand. The contact mentioned that medical attention was not required. In addition, the contact stated that while driving at 40 mph, the engine power down warning indicator illuminated and the vehicle decelerated to 20 mph. The accelerator pedal was depressed but failed to respond and the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was restarted and the failure persisted. On another occasion, the air bag warning light illuminated. The failures occurred on several occasions. The vehicle was not diagnosed for the intial failure.the vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the throttle body needed to be replaced.the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 102,000.

Vehicle downshifted and accelerated while coasting at around 45 miles per hour. Foot off accelerator. Applied brake and car returned to normal happened on wednesday june 2, 2010 near labadie missouri and on friday june 4, on interstate55 north of midway airport in chicago.

Diagnostic code p0121 - throttle bodyit is a common issue among all denali owners and is covered under warranty. But if this issue is known by the manufacturer this should be a recall as this could cause an accident.solution is to replace the throttle body (which are currently on back order) dealers will charge between $95 & $110 to diagnose the problem and determine if it is covered under warranty. Owners should be weary of dealers trying to charge for this fix. Especially of the denali is under 100k miles.

It began w/a harsh shift from 2nd to 3rd. It started happening more often, my engine light came on& it began shifting so harsh it would jerk you. Went to my gm dealer & the code was for a throttle body sensor. They replaced the sensors & also found a cracked motor mount. They advised the crack was probably due to the transmission shifting so harsh, also the shifting problem was probably due to the sensor malfunction and the lack of communication from the throttle to the transmission. They replaced the mount & sensors. Charged me $700. Left the dealership, 15 mins later the engine light came on! i took it straight back and days later they called...couldn't find anything wrong, the code again was for the sensors, they installed again &checked the solenoids but they were fine. They advised a new transmission was needed & would be $2400. With no warranty, i couldn't afford the repair, so i have been driving it until i came up $$. It still shifts horrible and often 'revs' while accelerating but won't shift from 2nd-3rd. The engine light comes on, i have to pull over, turn it off 20 mins before it will drive. A day or two later the engine light will go off, but will randomly appear again when the 'no go' happens again.after 'googling' the symptoms, there's several forums stating the exact same issues! i'm afraid this will happen while merging on the hwy or at an intersection. This is the most expensive car i've owned & i'm in shock a vehicle that cost me 50k would end up the worst car i've owned. The transmission is the only safety issue i have, but since i've had the car, i've replaced 3 door handles, it shakes around 60mph, the back passenger door won't open from the outside & the locks intermittently work, both caps on the aux outlets came off after 6 mos along w/ the paint on the a/c controls. Completely disappointed in gm!

2007 gmc denali has a pull when it is not moving.consumer states that the dealership can not find the cause of the problem and wants to know if there are any recalls.*njthe consumer noticed an overwhelming jerk while sitting at stop lights, in the driveway, or just stopped for any reason. Also, when the consumer removed her foot from the brake to accelerate, a thump was felt. The consumer stated if felt as though something was wrong with the transmission.

Loud rubbing noise coming from the front drive assembly upon a left or right turn. Dealer stated it was within limits. I am afraid a component is going to fail and cause personal injury.

Sometimes the seat belt on the driver side locks and i cant use it. I try to open the door and pull the seatbelt and it will not unlock. I sometimes have to drive without a seatbelt.

Seat belt would not buckle gm would not repair they made me pay $95 for new parti was forced to change myself2.front and rear door handles came off sgm refusesto fix after the first time very dangerous defect cannot open the doorsthese are very dangerous defects which gm is hiding please investigate their gm spokesman refused to file my claim said i needed to repair on my own.

2007 gmc yukon denali.consumer writes in regards to vehicle brake system and engine issues.the consumer stated he was attempting to start. However the engine started to surge and he was unable to stop. He crashed into the proceeding vehicle.the consumer spoke to two mechanics who informed him, it was an ongoing problem and there was no remedy to prevent it from happening. The problem was caused by the triggering of the abs by deterioration of the front wheel bearing.

Power steering fluid is pouring out of the truck. My mechanic informed me that it is coming from the rack and pinion and that there is a tsb associated with this common problem. When i contacted gm they stated that the tsb covered the make, but that my vin was not covered under the tsb and no further information could be provided. Even though it was the same year, make and model covered by the tsb.

My suv which i bought brand new has a couple of cracks in the dash board next to the airbag section. My concern is if there would be a accident and the airbag deployed could cause the plastic pieces of the dash to break off and become airborne and injure me or a passenger. I have researched this issue and there are plenty of complaints about the same thing. I feel that gm should put out a warning about this and replace the dash of every vehicle affected.

2 cracks in the dashboard of my 2007 gmc yukon denali - between the speaker and passenger airbag and above the steering wheel. It also makes a squeaky rattling noise while i am driving as the broken pieces bounce. I did nothing to break it, it cracked on its own.

The contact owns a 2007 gmc yukon denali. The contact stated that when opening the doors from the exterior of the vehicle, the door handles would become detached. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where they advised him that the handles would need to be replaced. The door handles were repaired. The contact stated that the failure recurred approximately 6 times on each doors. The manufacturer was contacted and offered no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 43,000. The current mileage was approximately 115,000. The vin was unavailable.

My door handle on the rear driver passenger side had become really loose. My 5 year old son pulled the handle to open the door and the handle practically came off. The door handle is unusable and will need to be replaced. Here in hawaii the cost to replace the part is ridiculous. I purchased a 2004 yukon brand new and loved it. When my car was totaled by a tree during bad weather, i purchased another yukon in 2008, this time a 2007 model. Since then i have had the car stall while driving, dealer says it's ok, had the rims replaced because they were peeling, just noticed there is a crack in the plastic dashboard where the air bag is on the passenger side, the button for the rear window has fallen out and now my door handle has fallen off!!! i paid top dollar for my car and feel i paid for a "sour lemon". American car with parts manufactured in china????? i think gmc should own up to these issues and have it recalled as the truck is only 6 years old. I see rusted out beater cars from the 70's still cruising around yet all the original door handles etc... Are still in great working condition. What the heck!!!! i may never purchase a gmc again............

L did the same thing over and over again as everyone does who enters their car .. I opened the door handle of my 2007 yukon denali, then the left door handle popped loose, at 37k miles .. The handle is about 60% intact .. I canopen the door. However must be pulled lightly.. I cant afford 250 to get it fix ..i had this problem for about 2 yrs.i m trying to learn how to fix this online and save money, butnoticed many others 2007 + models are having the same issue .. Thank you ..

My vehicle has developed a crack on the dashboard above the steering wheel.i believe it could cause moisture to affect the electrical system underneath the dash area where the crack is.gmc dealerships here would not assist in replace a known defective cheap part.

The chrome onthe door handle has pealed and cut my fingers several times. Ithought there was a recall onthis but i cant find it.

The chrome is also peeling on my door handles.summer of 2015, i replaced the inside drivers door handle due to a broken bolt. Lastly my airbag light has been on with no diagnoses (~3 months).

We purchased this vehicle used in july 2010 from a dealership.the inside front door handles had started to peel.the dealership was going to replace it when we took the vehicle back, but after leaving they have been difficult to deal with.the handles are peeling more and cutting our hands.the back outside door handles are coming off and the passenger side will not open from the outside.the front dash is cracked and pieces are coming off.the rear windshield wiper fell off.the arm rest on the back seats are coming off.we take good care of our vehicles.this is a poorly made vehicle.something needs to be done.

Have a yukon and the dash board is cracked at both sides of airbag on passenger side and above the gauge cluster.the plastic is very brittle and my concerns is if there was ever a car wreck and the airbags deployed it would send plastic projectiles throughout vehicle which the vehicle is used to carry my 1 and 2 year old children daily.i feel this should be adefect or a recall considering almost all these vehicles all crack in the same spot i feel it was a poor design by gmc and at over 1000 dollars to have it fixed is just crazy . Thanks for your time

The dash is cracked and broken in multiple places on both sides of the dash. Most concerning is the crack next to the airbag panel. If the airbag were to deploy, will it still work, and what will happen to the dash when it explodes out. The crack was first noticed last fall and just gotten worse since then.

Dash board cracks. While driving dash is shaking up and down.

Thank you!

Door handle - passenger (front) driver (front) inside door. Chrome is peeling causing an extremely sharp edge. Were replacedin 2008 under warranty. Car is no longer under warranty. Severe safety hazard. Causes deep cuts.

Went to open door and handle came off. Did not pull any harder than normal. This is after we had to replace inside door handles due to flaking chrome that cut hand. Poor quality both inside door handle and outside door handles should be recalled.

The back door handles on our 2007 denali are extremely loose to the point that they are almost completely fallen off. This affects our day to day commute and should be fixed, we spent a good amount of money for a luxury car, the handles should not be falling off.i am surprised this has not been recalled.please contact me, thank you.

Power steering fluid is pouring out of the truck. My mechanic informed me that it is coming from the rack and pinion and that there is a tsb associated with this common problem.

Stabilitrac light came on intermittent resulting in diagnostic for electric suspension system. Replaced e.s.c.m. As well as shorted compressor exhaust valve that shorted the control module. Replaced the suspension compressor with valve and filter. This was done at a cost of $1557.15 out of pocket cost.

The contact owns a 2007 gmc yukon denali. The contact stated that when driving at any speed or attempting a turn , the vehicle would stall with the illumination of the stability off traction light.the vehicle was taken to the dealer where the contact was awaiting diagnosis.the manufacturer was not notified of the failure.the current mileage was 33,450 and the approximate failure mileage was 33,000.the vin was unavailable.

I own a 2007 yukon denali and have had the dash crack by the passenger air bag and by the drivers consolei went to gmc and they sat so sorry nothing we can do as i stated to them it will affect my air bag going off they didn't seem to care

The chrome linings on the interior door handles of the front driver side and front passenger side are peeling.the peeled edge of the material is very sharp, and my wife and i both have sustained cuts to our left hands due to this.

Dash cracked above instrument panel, across to passenger side, as well as from speaker to front of dash. Pieces are missing in front of speaker. Cracking started about 2010 and has continued to get worse. I am afraid some one will get gravely injured if there was a wreck. Or even if there is not a wreck.

The dashboard has cracked in the top left corner just above the passenger side air bag. This exact same crack in the exact same location has also occurred on my 2007 chevrolet avalanche which i filed separately under issue 10863128.

I wish to add complaint for the dashboard crack issue near the passenger airbag, and suspect the airbag support/function may be compromised. I also have received many 'paper cuts' from inside door handles chrome over the years but was never contacted by gm or offered warranty replacement as your website states they did - i am the original owner of the vehicle.

Cracking dashboard over the instrument panel. I feel that if an accident occurs, pieces of the dash will likely cause injuries to the driver and possible passengers in the vehicle since it is already cracking. The following link deals with the same problem, and states that gm had this vehicles dashboard replaced at no charge to the vehicle owner. Http://www.wmcactionnews5.com/story/30848193/feds-gm-wont-investigate-pattern-of-cracked-dashboards

Cracked dash after about 65000 miles neat airbag. Airbag light on. I am in contact through social media with thousands of gm customers who have and are experiencing the very same cracks in the same places which denotes a defect in the dash and supports or lack there of. Look for facebook group " cacked dash 2007-2015. Check out the pictures from all over the us involving every gm suc, truck etc. The cracks are consistent in locations and paths.. I am very concerned about my air bag deploying randomly. Don't know if this will affect takata recall or not. Cracks randomly occur on gm vehicles regardless of age or mileage.which i believe points to this being a defect in manufacturing and assembly. I need gmto fix this problem... Uploading pics. Check the site mentioned above and you'll see the same issue across the board in every picture shared. Help.

My 2007 gmc yukon denali has a cracked dashboard. This is the second time the dashboard has cracked on this vehicle. The first time gm did change it, but they wont change it now because the truck is out of warranty. I am very very concerned about this because the crack is right around the passengers air bag deployment area and i believe that in case of an accident plastic shrapnel might hit the passenger and cause excessive cuts to the face, eyes or upper body. I am even more concern because this is a family vehicle, my wife sits on the passengers sit all the time and i also use it to take my daughters to school, the new crack occurredwhile i was driving on the highway. All of the sudden the dashboard started rattling and shaking heavily. Please help...

I own an 07 yukon denali and the dashboard has three seperate cracks in them. Two of them are on the driver side and the other one is on the passenger side near the airbag. I've seen multiple complaints online as well as on this site and it's a shame we spend all this money on these luxury vehiicles but gmc refuse to issue a recall for an obvious problem. I was given a quote of over $1000 to replace it. I had to place a small piece of paper between the cracks just to avoid the obnoxious and annoying sound that it makes while driving, not to mention so my hand wouldn't accidentally push it in resulting in my hand possibly getting stuck in the cracks. Ouch!!it sounds like constant rattling. The driver and passenger chrome door handles are peeling which can cause some serious cuts to your hands if not careful.gmc the least you can do is offer recalls for your customers. I've owned a gmc yukon from 2002-current. I would hate for this to be my last.

My dash board is cracked

The dashboard on my 2007 gmc yukon denali has cracked in 2 places- above the steering wheel and near the passenger side airbag.

This is the handles that open the doors. The coating on the handles is peeling. They have sharp edges that can and have cut the fingers. Gm needs to replace all of these handles

Dash has cracked in 3 places.safety concern because two of them are by the air bag.afraid if it ever deploys pieces will fly and could cause serious injury.

Chrome on interior door handles is peeling off causing razor sharp edges

This summer my dashboard severely cracked in multiple places. It is so badlycracked i cannot imagine how it doesn't pose a safety risk.

The dash is cracked and broken in multiple places on both sides of the dash. Most concerning is the crack next to the airbag panel. If the airbag were to deploy, will it still work, and what will happen to the dash when it explodes out. The crack was first noticed last fall and just gotten worse since then.

The inside of the passenger side door handle crome has peeled away causing a shape edge. There has been a special coverage adjustment issued by gmc in bulletin no: 09239a but was told my vehicle was not covered. I am having the same problem but they will not cover it due to my vind not being included in this special coverage adjustment. I feel my vehicle should be covered due to the fact that it is having the same problem. The outside of the same door handle has pulled away from the vehicle and bolt has pulled out of the frame. I think gm needs to step up and take care of these issues on all there vehicles not just who ever they choose!! i will never purchase another gmc vehicle again!after many hours of research i found several other customers having the same problem! when i called to make appt to have it fixed even the dealer informed me that it was a common problem with their vehicles!if the dealers know there is an issue im sure gm is aware a recall should be issued their just wating to see how long they can get away with it!!

The contact owns a 2007 gmc yukon denali. The contact stated that while driving 15 mph, the esc and check engine warning light illuminated as the engine lost power. The vehicle was restarted and taken to the dealer for inspection where they advised that the throttle body and the vacuum hose needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred at least twenty-five times. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was 134,000. The vin was unavailable.

Wiring to rear window defroster became detached at soldering connection. Was told entire rear window had to be replaced. Yukon was still in warranty.

The contact owns a 2007 gmc yukon denali. While driving at an unknown speed, the contact was unable to roll down the front driver side window and smelled a strong odor in the vehicle. The contact pulled the vehicle over to the side of the road and discovered that the driver side door was hot and that the power window switch was melted and corroded. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing, but was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was 121,700.updated 09/15/14*lj updated 1/8/2015

Several issues with vehicle. Throttle body, computer electrical system, transmission fluid and coolant leak. Door hinges rusted and hard to open doors. Chrome rims pitting and peeling. Steering column replaced. Tailgate rattles. Vehicle only has 37k miles.
