On 12/14/07 we were involved in an auto accident. We were traveling at about 50mph and ran into the back of another vehicle. The whole front passenger side of our yukon is totaled. The front end/battery and other items is pushed up into the engine. My concern is that neither one of the airbags deployed in the accident. Why? the impact should have released the airbag and the driver of the vehicle hit his shoulder on the steering wheel, which the airbag would have prevented that.

My windshield wipers, windows, radio and door locks will intermittently stop working.i have found several others to be experiencing the same exact problems based on several online forums i found by googling "problems with 99 yukon denali".it seems as though replacing the body control module fixes the issue in some cases but most have no clue how to fix it. Some even say they experienced a loss of power while driving.

This weekend (friday night)i started smelling a "burnt wire" smell.i drove to the store on saturday morning came back home.i went to the store again sunday morning and noticed smoke coming out of the drivers door. I immediately pulled over and called the fire dept.after going through my door and pulling off the panel, it was discovered that i had an electrical fire that started from the electric mirror control. This is the first time that this has happened and the car is currently in the shop!thanks

My vehicle was serviced by this facility. I am the second owner and have owned this vehicle for less than 1 year. The orig. Owner purchases all vehicles from them for his construction company and maintains them regularly, as i have. I had the part and was told this was not thee problem. This vehicle had a 60,000 mile service brakes and new tires when i bought it. They charged me $1400 and 11 hrs. Labor for these repairs that should take no longer than 3. I am a single mom who was assured they would only fix the things required by gm dealer and i could get minor things done at my regular mechanic. Now they want me to come back and spend another $800.00 dollars on the air conditioner. I will ask for a full refund or at least half my money back for bad faith and fraudulous activity on the part of a servicing business. I'm a single mom living paycheck to paycheck and they took full advantage of me. Please make sure that iand other innocent trusting people don't get taken by this particular truck center ever again. I f you would like to see a copy of my receipt i would be more than happy to provide that to you. I have paid the $1400 and do not have the additional $1000 they want to complete the repair they say i need. I realize this vehicle is superior but that's why i spent the extra money and serviced it regularly because i thought i was paying for a quality car. The warranty they say is no longer valid. Help!! i will also be contactinf my local consumer advocat as ell as the media. Thank you for your time! sincerely, [xxx] (state farm insurance company c a. The service engine light came on in vehicle. I took vehicle to auto zone for a diagnostic check and it stated the pc-valve needed to be replaced and something about the emissions. I took the vehicle to the dealership and they stated the pistons melted on the heads and engine needed to be replaced.

Gmc denali truck caught fire 302 miles after being repaired by a gm goodwrench mechanic in july 2002. *ph the consumer was on a family vacation when the vehicle developed an oil leak. *sc

Refusal to honor nationally advertised warranty program for repairs which resulted in a vehicle fire.while driving, the vehicle developedan oil leak.the vehicle was taken to the dealership and repaired so the consumer assumed. Six hours the vehicle was in flames. The consumer later learned, the fire was due to improper repairs by the dealership.

Fuel pump fuse blows during highway driving.not sure of exact speed.i believe i was driving at about 60 to 65miles per hour.blew four times.problem once per mile.i got off the highway and took the street the rest of the way and the fuse did not blow.have not been to a mechanic yet except for my dad and we both agreed that it was weird that the fuse kept blowing. Fyiwhen the fuse blew the engine just stalled and i coasted to the edge of the highway.the vehicle would not start either until the fuse was replaced.

The hood raises in the wind while driving, the dealer has attempted repair on several occasions but the problem still exist.nllm.nlm

While driving automatic transmission malfunctioned, resulting insudden acceleration, then, vehiclewouldn't go into reverse. Dealer could not determine the cause of transmission failure.

As the vehicle was pulling off a parking lot the brakes went to the floor. After driving home using the parking brake to stop, i pulled the drivers side wheel off and after adding more brake fluid saw the leak at the fuel tank area wile my wife pushed the pedal. All the brake lines look corroded.

In my 1999 gmc yukon denali at a slow speed while trying to come to a complete stop the abs prematurely activate making it nearly impossible to stop completely. I have read many complaints about the same problem with the same vehicle and still nothing has been done about it. Please post a recall for this specific vehicle. There are recalls for similar vehicles but not the 1999 gmc yukon denali. Why?

The contact owns a 1999 gmc yukon denali.the contact stated that whenever she drives her vehicle and preparing to stop, the vehicle skids approximately 10 to 15 feet and nearly causes a crash.the vin was not included in nhtsa campaign id number 05v379000 (service brakes, hydraulic:antilock).the dealer stated that it was the consumer's responsibility.the failure occurs at any speed.the current and failure mileages were 115,000.

The vehicles abs activates at low speed when it should not.the vehicle was taken to piehler pontiac in rochester ny and the owner was told that the vehicle was not included in nhtsa recall 05v379 due to vin.

I have a 1999 gmc yukon suv and i've been told that the abs sensors are corroded because of the salt used on the roads here in mi in the winter.there is a recall on these vehicles at the present time but when i took my vehicle in for the necessary repair they told me the vin # was not on their list. Whenever i stop at an intersection or red light or pull up to park i have a growling noise as i apply the brakes and a slipping of the brake pedal and the car keeps on moving when i think its going to stop.i have had the dealer drive the vehicle and also a brake mechanic and both state it is due to the corrosion that has formed under the wheel speed sensor and moves the sensor away from the integral speed-sensor toothed ring.the condition does not set any abs codes nor does it illuminate the abs warning lamp. The recall ( 05068) by gm procedure involves removing the wheel speed sensors cleaning the sensor mounting surfaces on the bearings, applying zinc-x to the cleaned surfaces, greasing the mounting surfaces, reinstalling the speed sensors, and verifying that the wheel speed signal output voltages were within specification. I cannot understand why my vehicle hasn't been recalled especially when i am experiencing the exact symptoms as others that have been recalled!i have not had the vehicle fixed yet as i am waiting to be accepted on the list.can you please help in accomplishing this for me before their is an accident.thank you.

Dt: 1999 yukon gmc, when puttingbrakes on it takes a while for them to catch. Took vehicleto the dealer, and they said brakes were operatingthe way they were suppose to be. I saw an article about other people having the same problem.

I have a problem with my antilocking braking system.at low speeds there is a grinding noise and the braking is uneven; meaning it is not smooth, but jerky.this situation does not occur at higher speeds.after this situation the antilocking brake system light comes on and i do not have the problem.

Dt: when slowing down the anti lock brakes kick in and it takes longer to stop the truck. The consumer has hit a fence and almost hit a person. Had the problem fixed and then heard about the problem on the news.the front abs wheel speed sensors and master cylinder was replaced. *sc

Dt:the contact stated since purchasing the vehicleithas bucked while braking.it was as though the back brakes were working and the front brakes didnot work. The vehicle was taken to the dealership multiple times, but they were unable to diagnosetheproblem.the vehicle was taken to a local mechanic, and he changed the rotors.this did not repair the problem.recently heard a pop, and when she tried to apply the brakes they went to the floor.she had to drive into a handicap sign to stop the vehicle.she wasunable to turn the vehicle around to have it towed.it has not been to a dealer.

The contact owns a 1999 gmc yukon denali.on september 8, 2007, while attempting to stop at a stop sign, the vehicle failed to stop and rear ended another vehicle.a police report was filed.the front passenger side of the vehicle was damaged.when the brakes were applied at low speeds, the brake pedal extended to the floor and the vehicle failed to immediately stop.the failure was caused by a lack of braking pressure and corrosion build up in the antilock system.the vehicle has not been taken to the dealer.nhtsa campaign id number 05v379000 (service brakes, hydraulic:antilock:control unit/module) was referenced.the vin, speed, and purchase date were unknown.the current and failure mileages were 140,000.

Another vehicle pulled out in front of me.i managed to avoid them despite my brake rotor failure.1999 gmc yukon denali - during maximum braking from 45 mph the left front brake rotor suffered a catastrophic failure.the rotor failure resulted in the vehicle suddenly surging to the right while braking.the rotor disk become completely separated from the hub mounting flange.the rotor was original from the factory with 95,000 miles on it.the truck had recently passed pa state inspection (august 2007) and a full brake job was done at that time.this included turning the rotors.a new rotor was installed during the repair after this incident.

Windshield wiper's malfunction and work intermittently. This is a know problem and a recall for many chevrolet's and gm's. For whatever reason, 1999 gmc's are not included. I personally know of three others who are experiencing the same problem. The issue has been around since 1991. Dealership will not help since vin is not on list. This is a safety issue and should be taken care of by gm.
